The Obama campaign is telling reporters from major news organizations that the videotape of Michelle Obama railing against “whitey” at a panel alongside Nation of Islam maximum leader Louis Farrakhan is nothing but a “scurrilous lie,” according to one of those reporters who called for an answer.

But at the same time the Obama campaign has disseminated either a doctored or concocted transcript of the supposedly nonexistent videotape. Major Obama donors went to the campaign demanding explanations after the posting of my story on No Quarter about the contents of the videotape confirmed to me by several reliable sources, all Republicans with access to knowledge but who do not know each other.

So the campaign created a would-be transcript of the video it says doesn’t exist. In the Obama campaign produced transcript Michelle says “why’d he” instead of “whitey.” Very clever. Then the campaign sent this transcript to key Obamaton bloggers to circulate. And the campaign sent it to the donors to prevent them from having a nervous breakdown.

In other words, the Obama campaign is a two-faced operation, telling the national press one thing and using eager little bloggers as propaganda stooges. But now they’ve been caught in obvious dirty trickery. Will the press play along? The Obamaton bloggers who happily allowed themselves to be exploited have exposed themselves as just junior media whores.

Meanwhile, Obama’s political collapse is accelerating. Two new polls in the final primaries conducted by American Research Group show Obama’s fortunes in rapid decline. He was supposed to easily clean up in South Dakota and Montana, where he was ahead of Hillary, just a short time ago. he was supposed to run across the finish line with two clean wins and the crowd cheering. Now, he’s behind in South Dakota by a whopping 60 to 34, and barely holding on in Montana, just slightly ahead 44 to 40. What happened, Barack?

Looking at those terrible poll numbers we’re not surprised that Obama quit his church over the weekend. The Father Michael Pfleger anti-Hillary sermon at Obama’s church must not be going down too well.

And now we’re beginning to understand why Obama engaged in his thuggery at the Rules and Bylaws Committee, stealing delegates in Michigan that rightfully belonged to Hillary according to votes actually cast. Yup, looking at his bad poll numbers and rising unfavorabilities, Obama needs every delegate he can steal.

Then, out of further desperation, Obama spread a false story that Hillary was dropping out. He’s doing everything he can before the vote in South Dakota and Montana to try to depress Hillary’s turnout. Obama’s Big Lie has worked before. To listen to Obama Hillary has been dropping out since the beginning of the campaign.

And behind all this is Obama’s fear of the Michelle “whitey” video about which he’s spreading two different stories–one to the mainstream press and another to his blogger-stooges. Lies, lies and more lies.

John McCain was one of the first Republicans to call for Donald Rumsfeld’s resignation and called for the surge despite Bush’s objections. Did you know McCain actively opposes a constitutional ammendment to ban abortion. John McCain supports NAFTA openly; at least two of Obama’s top advisers have said he supports it privately. He said troops might be there that long if and only if they were not taking casualties (like the troops in Europe since WWII).

A Clinton donor tells me that on a conference call today with major fundraisers this afternoon, Harold Ickes told them Clinton isn’t planning to drop out. He pressed donors to stay unified, and reviewed tactical options, including challenging the Michigan delegation.

State finance committees are also circulating letters to deliver to Clinton tomorrow in New York, and I’ve obtained a draft of the Illinois finance committee’s letter, being circulated by a Clinton fundraising aide, Rafi Jafri, which stresses a fight until the convention, and a resolution in “August, and no earlier.”

We, the Illinois Finance Committee, want to show our full commitment to and support for Senator Hillary Clinton, in the fight for her rightful appointment as the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee at the convention this August.

We believe she is, by far, the best candidate of the three, and the candidate most able to turn the ailing economy around, solve the housing crisis, end the war in Iraq and defeat the terrorists in Afghanistan, bring universal healthcare to our citizens, and finally make our country energy independent.

We also know she is the Democratic candidate best able to beat John McCain in the fall. One thing we are certain of is that the Republicans are good at winning elections. We, as Democrats, allowed them to win the last two contests, and we cannot afford to let that happen again.

I thought that was just a joke. If it’s true the Obama campaign is accurately portraying what Michele said (with “whitey” of course) then Obama’s cooked.

Someone linked his campaign website where an explanation of “whitey” v. “why d’ he?” was posted. A steady stream of traced and identified Obamabots have been through this site, while the tape itself is being disputed. Interesting… even if it’s a lie, which I doubt, the timing is excellent while the Obama campaign has been circulating rumors that Hillary will drop out after tommorow.

So, what’s the big debate over the existence of a video of MO’s racist rantings? Seems to me the Obama camp confirmed the existence of it when the “Obama campaign produced transcript” stating MO said “Why’d he” not “Whitey”. It amazes me that they believe this airy dismissal of that portion of the transcript negates the remainder of what is expressed in the message the Obama camp provided. The transcript said:

“Once again, the white man keeps us down, what’s up with Whitey, Why’d he attack Iraq, Why’d he let Katrina happen, Why’d he leave millions of children behind. This is the legacy the white man gives us.”

So, where are the glib explanations of the other parts of the transcript? “The white man keeps us down”; “what’s up with Whitey”; and, last but not least, “this is the legacy the white man gives us”??? These phrases convey Michelle’s sentiments quite clearly. The “why’d he”/”whitey” noise is not only lame static, but it’s moot.

Considering the fact that the Obama campaign has taken a “nip it in the bud” stance with this issue, and in light of their habit of backtracking, downplaying, spinning and outright lying, I also feel certain this snippet of a transcript the Obama campaign produced is just the tip of the iceberg. The real video is sure to be much more inflammatory.

This tip of the iceberg (along with the abundance of other reasons – my God, they can’t need even more reasons, can they?) should, however, be enough to finally enlighten and empower the superdelegates to make the right choice to support Clinton. The transcript, provided by the Obama campaign, unequivocably proves that, among other things, the Obama’s are not the progressive thinkers or creators of unity they portray themselves to be. He is not experienced enough to run this country. His leadership would create a chasm in our nation that will take decades to bridge. His nomination would be the catalyst for the demise of the Dem Party as we know it.

Yes, it was a wide-ranging conspiracy between the Obama campaign, the DNC, and the Michigan Democratic Party to “steal votes” from poor victim Hillary and her soviet-style election win, in a primary she herself said wouldn’t count for anything. I think I hear Alex Jones knocking.

Let me ask you two questions:

1. If Hillary wrapped up the nomination on Super Tuesday like she aimed for, do you really believe she would give a rat’s ass about counting the votes from a primary she admitted wouldn’t count for anything?

2. What would you be saying right now if the roles were reversed. What if Hillary was up by 200+ delegates (the true metric by which the winner is determined) and Obama was whining about counting votes that (a) he admitted and agreed wouldn’t count, and (b) made no difference in the overall delegate count?

He didn’t agree to her ideal delegate split because it would have legitimized the potemkin primary, thereby allowing her to lay claim to the “popular vote victory” pipe dream. The RBC decided on the compromise. I know 9/11 was an inside job, but there was no conspiracy to rob Hillary on Saturday.

If Obama wanted to “steal” 50% of the delegates, he would have done it. He had the votes. Maybe we should have just taken Lanny Davis’ advice and given her everything, including half the “uncommitted” votes. “Count all the votes” was the mantra of the RBC circus, wasn’t it?

Let me break it down for you guys: Obama supporters are upset with Hillary not because they’re sexist. They’re upset because she tried to change the rules in the middle of the game when it suited her. There were rules that every candidate agreed to before the contest started. She lost by those rules. Get over it and let’s start focusing on the real opponent: John McCain.

Do I think the process by which we nominate our candidate is retarded and broken? Yes. But those are the rules and they were agreed upon beforehand. You can’t say that a basketball game that’s supposed to be decided by overall points should all-of-a-sudden be decided by who hit more three-pointers. It doesn’t work that way. Two Air America hosts support Farrakhan’s Katrina conspiracy theory
No doubt you’ve heard Louis “Calypso Louie” Farrakhan’s conspiracy theory about Katrina: White Devils dynamited the levees in order to flood the Black neighborhoods so New Orleans could be rebuilt as a rich, White Devil bastion. In fact, the Reverend informs us, the crater under the levee was a whopping 25 feet deep.

Now, not just one but two Air America hosts are defending and supporting Louie’s remarks.

From the following list, please choose which two you think they are:

Rachel Maddow
Randi Rhodes
Chuck D
Mike Malloy

Now, you’re probably saying, is this a trick question? Could all four of those hosts support his remarks?

Well, at this point in time it’s only two that proffer such support and – surprise! – those two are Chuck D and Rachel Maddow, not the more usual and famous suspects of Randi and Mike.

“You cannot blame people for coming up with conspiracy theories,” Air America host Chuck D. said, after he was asked Thursday about the paranoid pronouncement by MSNBC’s Tucker Carlson.

“They look on television and see that the government is four days late in saving people [who are] supposed to be their citizens,” Chuck D. explained.

Carlson gave him a second chance to denounce Farrakhan’s lunatic declaration, saying, “You’re a smart guy. You know that white people didn’t blow up the levees to kill black people. You’ve gotta know that didn’t happen.”

But the Air America host refused to budge, insisting instead that there was a chance Farrakhan could be right.

Even after a third try, ChuckD stayed the course. Then, Tucker turned to Rachel, who had this to say:

“Conspiracy theories don’t necessarily help but you have to understand where they come from… They come from people feeling like this disaster had a real racial component. I mean, it was a majority-black city that was absolutely abandoned by the country.”

The reason no evidence has been released is, simply, there isn’t any.
