letter to HRC via her website
      Dear Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton:

I truly believe you would be the best nominee for the Democrats this year. There is no official nominee until voting is finished at the convention. Please continue onward to Denver this summer.

Rhetoric rarely matches reality in this world, and the U.S.A continually represents itself as a beacon of democracy. What has happened during this primary campaign and the two previous presidential elections clearly shows the reality. Many have lamented the decline in educational standards over the decades, but every citizen from primary school to retirement should learn how the executive and legislative branches of our government are elected. You have given a master class in this topic, but it is not yet time for the final exam. Please, please, Senator Clinton, continue educating the country by going to Denver and seeking the nomination for PRESIDENT from your party.

The super- or automatic delegates should do their job. I have seen too often how those with some amount of power become lazy–it is go along to get along in order to keep what they have and a ready acceptance of taking the easy way out of whatever conflict or challenge that might arise. You won the popular vote, and you won the (almost) winner-take-all system that will actually happen at the end of this year. The former is democracy, the latter is not. The in-between system of the Democratic National Party, using delegates is really a mixed bag. What has become painfully clear is that your party believes some votes are more valuable than others. The Rules and Bylaws Committee of your party also believes that the certified votes of states can be apportioned however they decide, not how the voters decide. How is this different in effect from changing vote tallies after-the-fact or stuffing the ballot box with fake ballots?

I believe your campaign can clearly make the case to ALL of the delegates (Some pledged delegates are not bound.) that you are the best candidate, by the numbers, for president: popular vote, electoral college, ¿number of Congressional districts?, ¿number of counties?, and the vote:pledged delegate ratio. The numbers approach is a place to start; experience, history of service, and gravitas will serve to close the argument.

While I believe there is a place for forgiveness on a personal level, not challenging unethical and possibly illegal conduct during elections serves only to re-enforce the notion that you can get away with it if you have enough money and to discourage further participation in the fragile representative democracy that exists in the United States.

You are a role model for every American. Thank you for inspiring me.

      Sincerely,

    • Bitter

Thank you for that link. I went there about 27 times and had all my friends do the same. We politely asked Mrs. Clinton to concede. It’s like that last lingering party guest that just won’t get the hint.

Boy, tonight really was something special, wasn’t it? History in the making. President Obama. Wow.

      • jessie

Well, I can assure you he will not win the White House. I do not want her to go down with his ship. He will not win the heart of America. He cannot win the every day workers of this country. Believe it or not we are PROUD OF OUR COUNTRY.

I will never support him with or without Hillary.

If you think it is only the people of this website that will not vote for him – you are not living in the real world.

So go ahead and celebrate tonight because it will be a long long road to November and you will find out that PROUD AMERICANS do not want the likes of Obama/Marxist and his wife Michelle/BitterMarxist

        • Ben

So proud of your country you will vote for someone that is ready to commit to another 100 years of war. So proud of your country you will vote for someone that will further ruin the economy?

Yeah, great Patriot. Who cares if America’s economic and military strength goes down the crapper. Its the lapel pin and white skin that matters right? Right? Oh RIGHT.

          • Hope Floats

Ah, the “bitter hicks” argument. Obama-Wan has taught you well. You have controlled your fear. Now, release your anger. Only your hatred can convince Hillary supporters to vote Democratic.

          • cc

I’m SO proud of my country that I will NEVER vote for a corrupt, racist, sexist, terrorist sympathizer, and inept dolt such as Obama. If Hillary’s out, McCain gets my money, support and VOTE!

AMERICA FIRST. DEMS, REPUBS SECOND. OBAMATONS NEVER!

          • beebop

You’d rather cast a vote for someone who isn’t necessarily interested in counting all of them? God. A vote is the foundation of Amercia, or haven’t you noticed?

        • Peggy Green

Many people do not know he is Marxist or a crook or anti-American.Many people do not understand how far left he is, and how much lying he is doing to cover up his true self. Many people do not know that he bought his house with money from Mr. Nadhmi Auchi funnelled to him through Mr. Tony Rezko. Many people do not know how much his friend, Bill Ayers and family, are programming American college students to hate their country. The truth must come out in a way that the media does not ignore it.

        Not just yet, my dear…
You don’t know what other tricks up her sleeve. She’s one formidable candidate. He needs her big time but many of us don’t want her to be VP to a rookie so you make your own conclusion lol,,

He won’t win in November without her and her supporters. Just get used to it. She will with or without him so she should fight on.

Don’t count your chickens, kid. Ain’t gonna happen. The person being sworn in in January will be President McCain if the Democratic super delegates don’t change their minds in Denver and go with Hillary.

    • http://www.thecityedition.com/Pages/Archive/Winter08/2008Election.html YRM

Denver is a loser. She needs to run as an independent but will only do so kicking and screaming and carried to the registrar’s office by angry voters like myself.

She doesn’t quite seem to get the fact that the Dem Party will NEVER let her take the nomination or VP spot. They’ve been planning this coup against her for years, for goodness sake. Even worse, Pelosi and company are in league with the G.O.P., who created the Obama candidacy in the first place. Follow the money…

Terry McCauliff and others in her campaign implied today that Clinton is about to capitulate, endorse the scoundrel and start urging her supporters to embrace him as well. In fact, her request for feedback may be a way to raise money on her website rather than hearing from the little people. Consider the fact that she didn’t celebrate in South Dakota tonight. She seems to be turning her back on the electorate and back to the fold of the Dem. Party, which is ALARMING. She really needs to get some sleep.

      • https://contribute.hillaryclinton.com/form.html?sc=1 Fighting Back

Don’t take the VP slot. Chicago politics!

They’ll make her sit in the Naval Observatory and do nothing for four years, won’t listen to her, then force her to take the blame for everything.

And yes, she needs sleep. She’s had such a rough time. If she thought this through, she would just suspend and wait.

Snobami and the Nation of Islam is coming now. Can you imagine what will happen when they release this???Even with all that talk of “unity”, he will lose.

But please don’t ask me to vote for him.

That decision is up to me. That will NEVER happen. NEVER.

And PLEASE do not be his VP!!!

Senator Clinton is classy, and Senator Clinton is scary-smart on policy. She will make an outstanding POTUS.

    Madame President!

  • http://jobabe Jobabe

I called Nancy Pelosi’s office today to complain about her endorsing Obama and to tell them I wasn’t giving any money to the DCCC anymore. The men who kept answering the phones wouldn’t take a message and kept hanging up on me. Hum! Reid, DNC, etc did a respectful job of listening to me and I was off the phone in under a minute. But, pelosi’s office I called back about ten times. Same thing everytime. Hum, this is how to get women to unify behind Pelosi’s so called nominee!!!! oh well, guess they don’t need my money they have a “new coalition” Call Donna Brazile not me!

    • salliort

I emailed Pelosi. Told her if Obama gets the nomination in Denver, then I’m leaving the party after decades as a Democrat. As a relative of Adlai Stevenson,I also said I was disappointed in her and the party.

I’ll be contacting Donna Brazile tomorrow to congratulate her on losing if Obama runs. I called her about Gore and said he would lose. I left a message saying Kerry would lose. Now I’m doing the same thing with Obama. He hasn’t a chance in hell of winning and that’s the way the Republicans have set it up.

Why is it that Democrats sit up and beg to lose?

  • indypol

Obama is not the nominee!!!! He doesn’t have 2210 delegates (which was the correct number six months ago, 3 months ago and should be now), and his current number is based on delegates who can (and have) change their minds. Senator Specter is starting a congressional investigation of the DNC’s deliberations last Saturday, and the Credentials Committee of the DNC will hear an appeal in a few days. Obama’s self-coronation, and the touted 2120 (?) required number, are based on a bed of straw.

Clinton, on the other hand, has a clear popular vote lead, a lead in the electoral college and she’s finishing the primary season with a bang, not a whimper. Don’t buy the hype: she will be president. Nothing changed on 5/20 when Obama wanted to declare victory without the numbers, and nothing changed tonight either.

She will be president, and after tomorrow’s revelation, you’ll understand why. Now we move into phase two.

  • morgan

Maxine Waters switched… surprised? No. They didn’t even let the last 2 states vote before they handed it to him!! It is time to donate to go donate to Hillary and pick up some McCain signs for my yard!I say lets go to Denver… switch from a dem to independant tell Howie why!!

    • Northwest rain

So Maxine Waters is a lying racist?

Damn — I’m really disappointed in her.

Thankfully not everyone drinks the kool-aid.

      • Bitter

So now Maxine Waters is a racist??!!???

Look at how low you people have come. Sleeping with the enemy. I’m just glad this race has allowed the democratic party to separate the wheat from the chaff.

What a truly historic and glorious night. Michelle and Barack looked so beautiful up on that stage with nothing but 20,000 arms wrapped around them. President Obama. Can’t stop saying it, or smiling!!

A brilliant speech from a brilliant candidate. Hillary Clinton is “not” getting in line. Not tonight. Not right now.

I’ve already written to Senator Clinton, stating that I hope she does not seek the VP slot. The ticket is not worthy of her, and when things start to fall apart, I wouldn’t want to see her caught in the wreckage. But I love the fact she stuck her finger in everyone’s eye, particularly the Obama folks. I understand the MSNBC moderators were left speechless. Good! That should be a permanent condition–struck mute forever.

Senator Clinton was on her game tonight. A class act. What a splendid candidate! And that fawning from BO added to his speech, how fabulous Hillary is?

Too little, too late. My vote is not for sale and is not moved by false flattery.

And who came to Senator Clinton’s defense after the Phleger’s attack? John McCain. Need I say more?

Obama showed his Nixonian Side of Petty Insecurities while limping to the finish line.

Soaring rhetoric Blah blah blah. The talking heads and nattering nobob Obama-worshipers at it once more. Obama and his minions had to make sure he was the final territory claiming spotlight and once again unwittingly actually showed his weaknesses, insecurities and utter disrespect to Hillary Clinton (and her supporters).

How hard would it have been to tell his anti-democracy democrat party super delegates to WAIT one day to join the herd and put him in the ‘official’ nominee category?

How much more generous and respectful — honoring of Hillary — would it have been to give that speech one day later?

But no, like a dog peeing on a post, he could not restrain himself (much like his impulse-driven preacher friends and mentors).

I think it all ultimately says far more about him — along with his pandering and lofty but extremely non-specific, oratory. And it’s not flattering.

    Nixonian and ungenerous indeed.

He and the backroom democrat party elites don’t give a crap about 18 million voters. If he doesn’t offer the Veep slot to Hillary, I’ll be writing in Clinton in November.

    • Incredulous

Interesting take on things. Obama just gave one of the best speechs any candidate has given in recent memory. Even the conservative commentators on FOX News were stunned into a state of confusion–except for Karl Rove, of course, who’s a human political calculator, and even he admitted there’s a big problem.

Obama had nothing but sincere and extended praise for Hillary Clinton, and that praise brought thunderous approval from his supporters.

Clinton’s speech was also damn good. She spoke like a winner, even though the numbers have finally caught up with her. She praised her opponent highly. My take is that she’s thinking long-term. She’s decided to become the VP, and she’s going to do it. She’s probably going to redefine the VP slot in the process, and the party is going to benefit from it.

Hillary Clinton is going to be president. Just not for another 4 or 8 years.

Say what you want. I don’t think an Obama/Clinton ticket can be beaten. It’s inspiration plus determination, with a reunified democratic base behind it. We’re about to see something we’ve never seen before.

      • Northwest rain

      • It’s Not Me

A BO/Hillary ticket is NOT a “unifying” ticket. NOTHING will convince me to vote for him. EVER. There will be no “unity.” It’s a dream” The Democratic Party is DEAD.

      • rjj

what a load of leaping, screaming, jumping-up-and-down, lambent twaddle.

      • beebop

He and his wife — Pelosi and everyone else — have made it clear that she is not wanted except in some meaningless “cabinet” position …. probably health secretary so Kerry can tell her to shove universal health care over and over …

There is no respect for her in his camp. She would be used — as they specialize in in Chicago — and then abused. She’s too smart for that I pray.

  • Anna

susan while I admire your commitment and tenacity I do not honor your unwillingness to be challenged. Your support for Hillary has been admirable but at times you have been blind to constructive challenges
and your support for Hillary has been at times blind to her failings. She voted for that war resolution and she would be the candidate if she had not

Let’s hope that the Obama campaign has the wisdom to offer her the VP they can not win without her. Older woman are committed to her in ways that are admirable and solid as a rock. They are going to stick by her side no matter what and Obama needs to get this and soon.

This election in the fall should be a “slam dunk” for the Democrats, McCain’s numbers should not even be close. But if the Democrats do not pull it together soon there will be permanent damage if there is not all ready (they can not just tell people to feel united, people have to feel it). The 16 months of the campaign that would never end has done real damage these campaign folk need to get out on the streets and hear what people are talking about. Way too much in fighting..here and elsewhere this is destructive.

Americans need to stop talking about Change and BE THE CHANGE. People around the world want us to “change” and live more simply so that they can SIMPLY LIVE. Obama and Hillary need to quit coddling the American people and to tell them to start accepting some responsibility for what their country has done in Iraq and elsewhere in the world.

You obviously have not done your home work and research. Being aa chicago native, I have, and Obama is seriously lacking. His record is spotty at best and he has done nothing but campaign and write books on our taxpayer dime without doing much in return. I’ve compared his record to Clintons and she works much harder. as far as Iraq, he has changed his tune on that so many damm times. Given his speeches he would have voted for the war had he been in congress. Oh and he did vote for Cheney’s energy bill, and for the tort law (which protects the “little people”, and for the new bankruptcy laws (which protect large corporations).

After reading his books, and everyhting he has written and said, analyzing his associations and his congressional and state records, I do not find him to be the better candidate. But then the Alice Palmer situation said everything about his character I needed to know.

Please don’t call Obama a Marxist. He’s not calling him a Marxist is silly, almost childish. A Marxist at least has a set of ideals to live by. Nothing Obama has said or done has convinced me he values more than personal ambition and his Tony Robbins seminar tapes which is used as the basis for his events.

I think it is largely over for the primary season of 2008. Short of Obama fathering a white baby outside of wedlock, I’m not sure anything could convince superdelegates to avoid the oncoming trainwreck. They are like deer caught in a set of headlights.

Hillary should go to the Convention have the vote and concede then, and only, then. In the meantime, Hillary supporters should seriously look at their options on how to proceed next. The central question is whether or not the Party should be punished, and if so, what is the way to do it. My suggestion is to vote for the Green Party candidate for President, yet vote Democrat all the way down the ticket even if that would mean voting for those awful Zel Miller types.

If the overall party is given evidence that Hillary voters turned against the party, it makes it extremely difficult for her run in 2012. If you care enough for Hillary, vote for Congressional Democrats because I can’t see her ever leaving the party. I think she is too faithful to it and we should be too.

If it makes you feel better, the Green Party I believe is running a woman named Cynthia McKinney for President. Since she is both black and a woman, what can Obama supporters accuse Hillary voters of? Abandoning Democrats? Not so if Congressional Democrats win yet Obama loses.

In the meantime, what is the best approach to keep Hillary in the media spotlight until the Convention? If you have any clever suggestions, do not post them here. Send them to her campaign.

Let’s all just calm down, sit back and calculate. Right now, I’ve come up with a few clever fake slogans for his ticket.

Oh, for the Obama trolls, I eagerly encouraging you to depart and fly solo in a sexual manner. Translation: Go f*ck yourselves.

    • http://deleted AnninCa

I think most Obama supporters think of this as a game. However, I’m quite certain that Obama will lose at least 30% and maybe more of the traditional Democrats.

      He’s just too weird.

But, I wish his supporters well in their upcoming campaign. I’m pretty relieved it’s over. It will be nice to relax.

I LOVED Hillary’s speech tonight, and her crowd was fabulous. Upbeat to the very end. Obama was boorish and rude, as usual, to time his announcement right as she won. But I’ve come to expect that type of rude decision making from him, so what else is new.

He’s as predictable as his trolls are here with their immature remarks.

I’ll be pulling the McCain lever. Hopefully, he’ll win and then we can be done with this chapter in the Democratic history.

But, if not, then it will be rather interesting to watch the show from a detached place.

    • rjj

If she accepts VP nomination, she will undo everything she has accomplished. She needs to make a strategic withdrawal. The DNC needs to be held responsible for their appalling judgment and their odious methods.

      • http://deleted AnninCa

I’m probably alone in this, but I think her remark to her supporters in NY didn’t really mean she wanted on the ticket.

I personally believe she thinks he’s unelectable. She is going to pretend to be very supportive, campaign, act like she wants on the ticket, etc.. In truth, she doesn’t want anything to do with him. And he’s certainly made it clear he can’t stand her personally or professionally. He’s a boor, though, and not hard to read in that respect.

Then I think she’ll be ready in 2012 after a 4 year stint of McCain.

I really don’t expect much more than rumors about the VP deal.

        • AXT

She would be a real fool to be his VP.
Obama is toxic. He would ruin her.
She should stay on the side lines and champion her causes and run again in 2012.

          • http://noquarterusa.net/blog/ Truthteller

Obama and his supporters are delusional. Did you see them in MN? And what was with all those unity signs? They need to persuade us that he is the best choice. And they need to offer us incentives. What has he ever done for me? How will I directly benefit from such a candidacy? Will his supporters apologize to me and to Clinton? They owe us, and we have the right to have each and every single one of our demands fulfilled if they desire our votes.

Until then, we remain committed to Clinton, and we will continue to expose Obama and his wife, who in my opinion should not gain access to the White House.

            • incredulous

How sure are you that you’re speaking for mainstream Clinton supporters? With all respect, I believe such opinions are pretty far removed from the Clinton center.

From what I can tell, the majority of Obama’s supporters are very receptive to the Clinton message. Most of us have a lot of honest respect for Hillary Clinton. We recognize the common ground. That’s where the call for party unity is coming from.

And for what exactly is an apology owed? That’s a serious question. I’m really trying to understand this. Forget the fringe opinions expressed by a few whachos. You’ve got yours and we’ve got ours, so that probably comes out about even. Hasn’t Obama run an unusually respectful campaign?

              • so saddened

“unusually respectful campaign” – with those three words alone, you have lost all possible credibility.

the phony unity bs isn’t working. take it somewhere else, where you might find more gullible targets.

            • beebop

A promise from Obama is just to get inside your pants. He doesn’t hesitate to throw people aside when it is politically expedient or to associate with them when it is politically expedient. I wouldn’t vote for him if he personally came to my home and drove me to the polling place and offered to get me a new house, job, car and career. He’s bogus and he’s a fraud. One person equals one half a vote? PLEASE!!!!!! He’s no DEMOCRAT.

I think I agree with AnninCa about Hillary and her direction. No VEEP in 2008. Run for President in 2012 and I’ll be there to support her. In the meantime pulling the lever for McCain. At least in him, we know the devil we’ve got.

You need to go to DailyIdiots this is not a site for unity. We do not want unity.

I remember some time back Donna Brazile (b*tch) said that if Obama/Marxist got the popular vote and the supers took it away the blacks would stay home and not support Hillary.

Well, Hillary has the popular vote and the super took it from her so what are we suppose to do?

I know what they want us to do lay down and let them f*ck us. No, I am done with this Affirmative Action Party and will never endorse Obama/Marxist and will do everything in my power to campaign against him and his Alinsky Axelrod Nation of Islam Chicago Group.

And I am sure the republicans will be watching the polling places because this time it will be the Chicago mob trying to steal the election.

      NO OBAMA/MARXIST

What sort of fake female are you anyway?

      GO TO HELL!

    • Betty

Your Obama had to steal 4 delegates from Hillary last Saturday, he fought and insisted he be given them, to demonstrate his power and humiliate her.

He is a serial abuser and if he had Hllary as VP he would make sure she was humiliated each day for the next 4 years. And all those icky Obama people and the freaks in on tv would make sure we all knew about it while they snickered amongst themselves.

Remember the morning Hillary went out to the Press bus with coffee and doughnuts for the rats in the bus. And though they drank the coffee and ate the doughnuts as soon as Hillary left they started their nasty back biting and were even were so stupid as to think they could tell us all about it and we would think they were cool and join in their Hillary hate. That is the mentality we are dealing with here.

      • Adam H.

Oh, BALLS. He could have had HALF the delegates but he chose not to, to gain greater consensus in the RBC vote.

Hillary signed off on the vote there as well. Why not complain about that?

        • POdVet

Actually he stole a lot more than 4 delegates. The RBC despite what they did, did not have the option of giving Obama any delegates from Michigan. According to the rules uncommitted is a recognized vote and the delegates from those votes must go to the convention as uncommitted.

And for your second lie that Hillary signed off on the votes, I seem to remember her saying way back in January that they must find away to seat all the delegates from Fla and Mi before Fla even had their primary. Truth hurts the Obamaton cause I know, but truth is truth and Obama is a criminal, racist, and unqualified to be dog catcher let alone President.

    Dear Katherine,

Over the course of this campaign, I have seen the promise of America in your courage and character, your energy and ingenuity, and your compassion and faith.

Your spirit has inspired me every day in this race. While I traveled this country talking about how I wanted to help you — time and again, you reached out to help me. To grab my hand or grip my arm, to look me in my eyes and tell me, don’t quit, keep fighting, stay in this race for us. There were days when I had strength enough for the both of us — and on the days I didn’t, I leaned on you.

This has always been your campaign, and tonight, there’s no one I want to hear from more than you. I hope you’re as proud as I am of what we’ve done and that you’ll take a moment to share your thoughts with me now at my website.

I want to congratulate Senator Obama and his supporters on the extraordinary race that they have run. Senator Obama has inspired so many Americans to care about politics and empowered so many more to get involved, and our party and our democracy are stronger and more vibrant as a result.

Whatever path I travel next, I promise I will keep faith with you and everyone I have met across this good and great country. There is no possible way to thank you enough for everything you have done throughout this primary season, and you will always be in my heart.

    Sincerely,

    Hillary Rodham Clinton

Some of you Obama supporters are so inspired by Obama and his campaign fueled by hate. It was the Obama supporters that made me research Obama and get out of his campaign. I could not reconcile why so many of you were so vile while your candidate was preaching unity.

My research led me to understand that Barack Obama is a danger to this country. And if the DNC leaders and the super delegates had vetted him…I only used the Internet..I would not hold them accountable.

But, they were sent links, videos, and emails by thousands of constituents begging them to please investigate some pretty ugly stuff.

    They did not.

They put their greed and need for power and hatred of the Clintons above the security and safety of the American people.

We should try them all for treason. This is serious stuff.

Much of the media should be held accountable as well.

History is to be learned from. Not repeated.

I do not know what will happen in the next few weeks. But, I do know that Barack Obama will not be running for President. Not of the United States of America.

So, enjoy your media created victory while it lasts.

    • Bitter

      James,

Penn Urges Clinton to Stay in Race

Newsday reports former Clinton top strategist Mark Penn, “reviled by many on Hillary’s staff but still an important voice in the candidate’s ear, has emerged (to no one’s surprise) as the strongest advocate of her remaining in the race regardless of what happens in the next 24 hours, according to sources inside the campaign.”

“His argument: Suspend the campaign if you must, but don’t end it, because all those Obama supers will flock to Hillary if more dirt on O emerges before the convention.”

    • so saddened

      excellent advice!

I replied to Hillary’s email tonight, I told her to rest for a week.

Then gather her incredible strength and announce to the Nation that she is leaving the Democratic Party and taking the democrats with her.

Then start her GE campaign and never look back.

  • halfavoter

He may call himself the nom but really, how can he? Montana is the only slightly swing to blue state he has won in how long? He may have the delegates but it was with a turtle finish. The whole thing has been rigged by the DNC, the media, Obama to get the result they wanted. It was made very clear at the committee meeting that they had no qualms about how Hillary and her voters have been treated. With the balcony-only seating and being told to be quiet while the Obamatrons could whoop and holler all they wanted!
I hope Hillary doesn’t take the VP slot and tells him where to stick it…
She doesn’t owe the DNC a damn thing. It wasn’t until Sunday that Chairworm Dean FINALLY – FINALLY – spoke about the sexism and misogyny. All of these months he has left Hillary – and all those who support her – high and dry! Yet, in spite of overwhelming odds – media bias, blogger hate, NO support from her party – she has managed to win the popular vote and more blue and swing states than him.

  • Silver

Instead of a lingering party guest, Obama is more like that horrendous relative who throws all of his suitcases in your guest bedroom, announces he’s gonna stay for a couple months, and then acts like it’s HIS house. You know the type, the kind you eventually have to toss out on his ear.

  • http://thehorizontalworld.blogspot.com/ Medusa

Hillary’s speech was perfect. I’m so glad she didn’t concede. And if she decides to do that and she asks her supporters to get behind Barfy, I won’t. But I’m hoping for a floor fight in Denver and Hillary at the top of the ticket. I wrote her and said so.

She’s got 18 million of us on her side and if the friggin RBC hadn’t taken votes away from her and given to the Barfmeister, he wouldn’t be the presumptive nominee that the MSM is creaming themselves over. He’s a sexist, inexperienced fraud that would put this country in grave danger, both internally and externally.

After almost 40 years of voting Dem, unless Hillary is at the head of the ticket, I will either sit this one out or vote McCain. I will vote my conscience, not my party.

  • halfavoter

Hmmm…too bad ur dude is gonna lose cuz he ain’t gonna pick her even though he needs her voters.

Of course Barky will win MT, anyone can vote there, my Repub friends are laughing hard voting for Obama knowing he’s easy pickings in the Fall.

You’ll notice Barky getting owned in SD where DEMS actually vote in the DEM primary. Amazing…

  • NewIndependant

Did someone say party Unity? Long past that stage. It is way to late for the party to unite that is why so many of us have left it and will vote for McCain if “he who cannot be named” becomes the real nominee in the future sometime. What shocked me though is I helped several men fill out new voter registration cards today to become Republican. They said they want someone in the white house who is a true American and McCain has proven himself to be one. When the Dems hijacked Hillarys delegates from Michigan and trounced on Florida…my state..the way they did I changed the same night to Independent. They do not care about their voters in Florida and Michgan, we do NOT care about them.

    • so saddened

The extract from the poem below is dedicated
to all the valiant soldiers @ No Quarter who continue
to serve as we reach the mid point on this phase of the journey

It is one of Maya Angelou’s poems
that she read for Hillary in North Carolina:

It reminds us that Faith is powerful,
    Is non-surrendering, (if there’s such a word)
    Has a visible aspect
    And an invisible element.

Do not dig up the acorn seed to get proof that it is growing!

Just water it, and give all the needed nutrients,
    As it gathers momentum
    To burst forth
    From the underground
    Into Light.

    Be FAITH FULL!

    =======================

    Still I Rise
    by Maya Angelou

You may write me down in history

    With your bitter, twisted lies,

You may trod me in the very dirt

But still, like dust, I’ll rise.

    Does my sassiness upset you?

Why are you beset with gloom?

‘Cause I walk like I’ve got oil wells

    Pumping in my living room.

Just like moons and like suns,

    With the certainty of tides,

    Just like hopes springing high,

    Still I’ll rise.

Did you want to see me broken?

    Bowed head and lowered eyes?

    Shoulders falling down like teardrops,

    Weakened by my soulful cries?

    Does my haughtiness offend you?

Don’t you take it awful hard

‘Cause I laugh like I’ve got gold mines

    Diggin’ in my own backyard.

You may shoot me with your words,

You may cut me with your eyes,

You may kill me with your hatefulness,

But still, like air, I’ll rise.

I love it — Hillary did the exact opposite to what all the talking heads said she “should” do. I thought their heads were going to spin!

And then, the perfect stroke: I’m not making any decisions.

The cable news obliviators have an attitude of authority as if they control politics instead of report on it. Hillary told them, specifically, “Not so fast.”

Talking say: “Hillary should have been “gracious” (subtext: kowtow to Obama). Hillary should have let him have his moment.”

Gracious? Gracious would have been waiting until tomorrow to trot out your superdelegates and declare victory, Obama.

Instead, you step all over her win in South Dakota with your “Breaking News.”

Obama pushed her. Hillary pushed back.

And may I add the caucus states have not all held their conventions. Obama gets – what – 2 delegates more than he needed? Heck — Texas is still arguing over exactly how many delegates he will get.

All of their elected delegate counts are estimates at this point.

At best he’s the presumptive nominee and he had to stagger and crawl to the finish line to claim that title.

    Give them hell Hillary!

  • Mel

Tonight Obama made the biggest mistake of a political career, claiming victory when having 340+ pledged delegates short of a victory, the only way a victory can be claimed!

Smartest move tonight was McCain who was more sencere to Clinton and her supporters than Obama’s desperate outreach to Clinton tonight!

Anyone listen to David Gerkin (pickle) tonight saying the most important role for uniting the party is Bill Clinton with Brazile shaking her head in agreement? Bill Clinton is going to work to bring unity for the most disgusting candidates in history and after Michelle labelled him a racist, what planet are these idiots on?

Hillary, sit back and relax, let Obama implode over the next few days and weeks and watch his SD supporters run away!

Finally, after eight long years the Democratic Party has a winner.

Wow – I believe the “whitey” tape exists, but have doubts about whether it would really matter as the DNC is hell-bent on giving him the nomination and his supporters are practically cult-members who dismiss anything that doesn’t support the messiah. But on HillBuzz, they kinda changed my mind:

Supposedly Michelle was REALLY pissed off, and guess who ticked her off? Bill Clinton, yep. She blames him for a lot while negating his good works in Africa. And this is what they’ve heard–

“For about 30 minutes, Michelle Obama launched into a rant about the evils of America, and how America is to blame for the problems of Africa. Michelle personally blamed President Clinton for the deaths of millions of Africans and said America is responsible for the genocide of the Tutsis and other ethnic groups. She then launched into an attack on “whitey”, and talked about solutions to black on black crime in the realm of diverting those actions onto white America. Her rant was fueled by the crowd: they reacted strongly to what she said, so she got more passionate and enraged, and that’s when she completely loses it and says things that have made the mouths drop of everyone who’s seen this.”

As if the “diverting black crime onto white people” comment wasn’t bad enough, that’s not the worse part? Obama has only one option – disown Michelle or give a speech about how spouses don’t always agree, although I highly doubt anyone will really believe him after seeing her say those things and their associations at that church. I think the DNC will have to force him to step down. Wow – this has to be the most exciting presidential election ever! No wonder even die-hard Obamaphiles changed their mind after just hearing about the content of the tape. This IS the game-changer.

Going to only post once. But the reason I wont vote for Obama has nothing about being a sore looser. I really have no clue who the man is. All I know for sure is, he is a junior candidate who has belonged to a church that hates white people.

You can spin that till the cows come home, but the crap that was being said in that church was beyond racist, and I couldnt possibly vote for someone that might hate my race. I have listened to his wife on many occasions, and come away with the feeling of that she is very angry black woman who hates her country, yet profits from it.

Nothing that McCain, Hillary or hell all of the democrat and republican candidates that ran for president in this election made me feel the way Obama’s wife and church did.

You know other than the flag pin thing, in which I didnt that was a big deal, Obama himself hasnt really made me feel the way his wife and friends have. But theres an old saying, “You are the company you keep”. So I just dont trust to hand over the next 4 years to a possible anti-white racist, sorry.

That said, I will use my vote for whoever is running third party, Liberterian or Green Party. We need more options.

And for goodness sake the democrats need to use the republican form of primaries, winner take all, then non of this crap would have happened if she would have got all the votes from NY, Texas, California, Pennsylvania.

    Anyways that is all

  • NeoConJon

So everyone is going to vote for McCain instead of supporting Obama? Can your hate for Obama be so vast that it will make you vote for McCain? I always thought the the majority of Clinton supporters were liberal/progressive. Do you all really believe in McCain’s policies or is this some bizarre way to get revenge on Obama? Not that I am arguing with your choice but I am just curious about how you can fundamentally reject your ideologies so easily.

If you consider your vote for McCain as a FU to Obama then you should be aware that if he loses this election he will still be a Senator and will still be popular. If anything an Obama loss will backfire on Hillary and destroy her political future. Whether you like it or not Hillary’s future success will be tied to Obama. There will not be a 2012 Hillary campaign if Obama fails because everyone will blame her and her supporters for gift wrapping the election to McCain. History will look back and blame Clinton for losing the White House.

Your best bet for Hillary now is an Obama win and a mediocre first term to set Clinton up for a 2012 primary challenge to Obama. Maybe at that time she will run a more viral grassroots campaign.

No, a loss by Plastic Jesus would prove that the Democratic Party oligarchy fubarred the nomination process and picked yet another candidate who makes Middle America vomit. Not only PJ but Dr. Screamer, the Brazile Nut, and the rest of that sorry lot would be discredited. HRC wouldn’t even need to say “I told you so”, because it will be obvious.

Would it be so bad for Snobami to pretend that he’s in general election mode and just go about the country? Really work his ego up then see it trounced when we announce Hillary as the next nominee

The DNC are hopeless now. Don’t be a VP Hillary!

Hillary, I commend you for all your effort. I feel that when President Clinton was in office that the economy was better and we as Americans were better off. He was and always will be a great leader in my eyes. Beside every good and successful man is a strong woman to love and encourage him when he is faced with hard decisions to make. I know that some of those were not his own but yours. I truly believe that God would strengthen and heal this country if you were to become President Senator Clinton, but since Senator Obama has won the democratic nomination I am not sure if it would be in your best interest to become his running mate. Down in the pit of my sould I feel that something is not right about him and his intetions. Pray about it before you make a decision and make sure that you hear from God on this one. I can not say one way or another. At first I was thinking that you should be his running mate, but as I began to type I feel that the Lord was swaying me to say what I said above so please Mrs. Hillary Clinton seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all other things shall be added unto you. Allow God to be your guide. Trust no other to assume this very powerful position in your life. Consult Him for yourself. May God continue to bless and keep you and your family in the center of His will for your lives.

  • NY still loves Hillary

Pardon me? I just viewed the results from MT on CNN (had to press mute), and it showed less than 500 votes difference between them. Or do you live in Chicago and already know the results?

  • NY still loves Hillary

I just went to Barky’s site to check the blogs, and the following is an actual quote:

By Jen Rencher, “I like his ears – they are big & well suited to listening, and his lips have the hue of a democratic future”

This is supposed to be our future? OMG, shoot me now!

  • Florence

He was supposed to win both MT and SD. I talked to someone from the Obama campaign a few weeks ago and they said Obama would easily win MT and SD.

  • Clinton Fan

Wonder how much he paid per vote? Didn’t he spend a bundle there?

  • skylights

That’s funny, I’m counting a 23,000 vote difference so far, with 75% of the vote counted.

your blanket description is not accurate. I’m a south sider from Chicago. i’ve seen Obama in action up close. he skates past issues and people. he is a user. and he is programmed. it’s surface and words but his actions have done little to help Chicago and Illinois. he looks nice but it’s a big show. and the Rezko/Ayers bits are real and real troubling. anyone in the know could tell you that Rezko was a dangerous bet to be around. how could Obama not know? answer…follow the money.

  • Deep Truths

He’s not going to be president if we racist neocons don’t vote for him. Can’t you see the pandering to Hillary supporters already, still ain’t going to happen. This particular black man will be indicted or something will come up sooner or later, if fact its already out except for the propagandist on the MSM.

Hope John McCain saw what CNN commentators did and realize that he will be railroaded next and put out that tape.

But come November if Obama is not on trial or behind bars, landslide for McCain. It would be landslide for ANYBODY BUT BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA.

  • so saddened

lyinglarry, your name says it all.

  • rjj

All you see is skin – consider his attributes: Obama is more a middle-aged, spoiled, self-indulgent, melanized white lad than a black man. I think this explains his broad appeal to the young, the callow, the superannuated adolescents of academia, and other underchallenged hothouse flowers. Why he’s just like us, but Blaaaaack, therefore coooool.

Mr. 7%? Actually, I’m more Native American than he is African American and I look about as Irish as they come ….

This importuning, sweetie, is both rude and and offputting. You must be one of Obama’s Young Republican moles.

I will vote for McCain IF BO thinks he is the Dem nominee. Because BO is immoral. And I was called a racist by BO supporters.

Good lucky with the unity thing.
