Political donations and the RBC debacle

June 2, 2008

Dear DNC,

You will never get any money from me. Ever.

How dare the Rules and Bylaws Committee STEAL delegates from Hillary Clinton and give them to Barack Obama? Not only is this arbitrary, unethical, contrary to common sense, and against the charter of the Democratic Party itself, it’s also just plain wrong. At the meeting Donna Brazile made a big point of saying that her mama said changing the rules was cheating. Well, the rules don’t call for stripping delegates from one candidate and giving them to someone else. My mama told me stealing was wrong.

I am a strong supporter of Hillary Clinton and I will never vote for Barack Obama. I have always been a Democrat, but no more. I reject the party. I will not be part of such a vile, sexist, vote-rigging party. From now on I am an Independent. My threat to never give money to the DNC is not an idle one. Previous to today I had donated $1100 to Hillary Clinton this year. This evening I offered to match donations to Hillary Clinton from readers of the blog TaylorMarsh.com. As a result, 34 people donated a total of $1184 dollars in 5 hours. That’s in just a few hours on one website.

Senator Clinton’s support is strong. We are not giving up, and neither is she, no matter how hard you try to tip the scales in Obama’s favor. Stealing is stealing.

Sincerely,
[Anonymous]

Editor’s afterword: I wanted RodhamDem to publish this on June 2nd but our server issues required most of my time and concentration. With those issues behind us, I am catching up with getting great statements like these printed on this site …. the RANTS ARE POURING in to our E-MAIL ACCOUNTS, and I HOPE TO PUBLISH MANY of your rants. And add your own rants below.

  • lakota in GA

Thank you, RodhamDem, for that letter! I’m praying you sent it to the DNC with specific copies to Donna and Howard!

  • drkate

I think if we follow the money we will see that Obama bought his way into this election.

Since I am the first commentor here, someone yesterday was offering $5 or lunch with BArack.

Can I have my $5 so I can buy a gallon of gas?

Senator Clinton’s support is strong. We are not giving up, and neither is she, no matter how hard you try to tip the scales in Obama’s favor. Stealing is stealing.

    Sincerely,
    Maxim Blowen-Ledoux

    You are great!

  • Mark F.

You people are such chumps. Larry Johnson is a Republican, doing psy-ops for McCain. And you suckers are falling for it.

Look at yourselves. He’s turned you into a bunch of goddamn Republicans. Nice job, Larry. Love the child molester haircut. Carry on.

  • EH

The motivation behind this site’s Michelle Obama brou-ha-ha could never be clearer than in this letter. Thank you.

  • Nellie

    wow! RodhamDem,

Thank you so much for backing up REAL Democratic Principles with action and hard cash.

The greatest Americans are guys like you.

  • Darren

We are not giving up, and neither is she, no matter how hard you try to tip the scales in Obama’s favor. Stealing is stealing.

Hmmm…I thought she was suspending her campaign and endorsing senator obama in a public event this saturday. Then again, maybe every news source has their facts wrong or being sexist.

  • http://noquarterusa.net/blog *== President & Commander-in-Chief Hillary Clinton **== |

Please excuse me while I adjust the frequency of my tinfoil hat in order to understand your conspiracy theory.

  • Shainzona

Well done! I just send their pre-paid envelopes back empty with a few choice words inside and NObama 08 written in big letters on the front and back (I’m trying to influence the postal workers, too!)

Best part is that when they receive an envelope (even if it’s empty) they send you another one right away. HA! I love it. (Oh, and poor Al Gore just got the same message when he sent me something from some Dem organization.)

  • Nancy

Twice during the Rules and ByLaws Comm. hearing I heard members say that the only Democratic principle above fair reflection is affirmative action. Were they trying to explain/rationalize/justify stealing votes and delegates from Hillary and giving them to Barack? Were they trying to explain the injustice and unfairness from the Democratic Party and the media?
Please tell me if you heard the same at the hearing and what you think it means to them and to us (us=Hillary supporters and/or females). Does affirmative action apply to females?

  • Darren

You know al gore hasn’t endorsed anyone? he’s not part of the “corrupt DNC” you people berate.

  • http://noquarterusa.net/blog *== President & Commander-in-Chief Hillary Clinton **== |

mmm…I thought she was suspending her campaign and endorsing senator obama in a public event this saturday.

She will be offering her support. Her campaign has not called it an endorsement.

  • Eurogirl70

No my dear, it is the Obama Svengali David Axelrod, who used, a la Karl Rove, every right-wing talking during this primary and got the MSM and blogosphere to incorporate it into their lexicon. He then got you naive chumps to parrot it back!!

  • Kirsten

Uh, there were no delegates to steal. They were all gone well before the primaries started. Hillary knew that, but didn’t say anything about counting them until after she’d already won Michigan (to the best of my knowledge — please link if she said otherwise).

  • http://noquarterusa.net/blog *== President & Commander-in-Chief Hillary Clinton **== |

Good for Al Gore but how does that change what the DNC has done during this election so far?

  • Joel
  • Dipsomaniax

Okay, maybe the OP will explain:

How was anything ‘stolen’ when Clinton agreed to the vote-splitting arrangement? She could have simply agreed not to count Michigan and Florida, as the rules stipulated. Instead she wanted to count votes that she had previously said didn’t count, and she agreed to the compromise arrangement.

So, how was anything ‘stolen’, and how is it that Obama’s suddenly to blame?

  • http://www.rabblerouserruminations.blogspot.com AmyinSC

I could not agree more with this letter. I, too, have written the DNC and told them not one more dime from me, and I have renounced my party affiliation (unfortunately, SC doesn’t even give me the satisfaction of changing my party – shoot!). Lifelong, straight-ticket Dem Party 50 yr old, and I am DONE for ALL of the reasons mentioned above: sexism/misogyny; race-baiting; immoral/unethical vote and delegate stealing; and for the MANY convoluted attacks on Hillary COMPLETELY made up by Obama (like the RFK “issue” – WOW – that was a HUGE stretch, yet people in the MSM lapped it up and attacked her relentlessly even though SHE is more like RFK than Obama could ever DREAM of being!).

Oh, yeah – and I donated a bunch, too. So did my partner. Never again.

I will NEVER vote for Obama.

  • Darren

what’s the difference between offering your support and endorsing someone?

  • http://noquarterusa.net/blog *== President & Commander-in-Chief Hillary Clinton **== |

Larry Johnson is a Republican, doing psy-ops for McCain.

Please excuse me while I adjust the frequency of my tinfoil hat in order to understand your conspiracy theory.

    Larry…
I sent you a letter about a guest post on the RBC debacle… never got an answer (‘no thanks’ is fine).

Do any Obama supports know how to blog with any ounce of civility? The snide comments are lame and quite frankly childish.

  • http://noquarterusa.net/blog *== President & Commander-in-Chief Hillary Clinton **== |

The difference is that is not what the campaign has said. You should quote accurately.

  • ulahane

It’s the rules! Rules are sacred! We Obamabots love rules! Oh except when they don’t help our campaign. Like when Iowa, Nevada, and South Carolina weren’t punished for moving their primaries forward. And when Obama was given Michigan delegates against party rules. Those were bad rules. Rules that help Obama are real rules.

Will you little brownshirts quit screaming “the rules.” This is little more than a modern Nuremberg defense.

  • Dipsomaniax

Well, that’s not really an answer. Clinton wanted the rules about MI and FL changed when she needed those votes, not before, but no supporter here has taken her to task about that.

It’s too bad that an honest question can’t be given an honest answer in place of invective and rhetoric.

    2. Party affiliations aren’t written in stone, as attested to by the many comments here.

    4. Stop acting like a paid hack of the Obama camp and start thinking like an adult.

    i) no-one stole any delegates.

this is patently false. If you would bother to read the RULES of the Democratic Party you would be familiar with what “fair reflection”

    Here is rule 13A

Delegates shall be allocated in a fashion that fairly reflects the expressed presidential preference or uncommitted status of the primary voters or, if there is no binding primary, the convention and/or caucus participants.

The rest of rule 13 explains how “fair reflection” is to be achieved — its about using the RESULTS of elections to determine who gets which delegates.

Its about the fair reflection of the EXPRESSED presidential preference — not what people might want to do if they had difference option, but ensuring that the allocations of delegates reflect HOW THEY ACTUALLY VOTED.

Fair reflection does seem to allow for ‘voter error’… and in fact I think that the CREDENTIALS committee (not rules and bylaws), could, under the rules, reallocate votes based on the (as yet unseen) write-in votes — IF those write in votes met the 15% threshhold required to receive delegates.

But insofar as these write-ins made up only 5% of the ballots actually counted, even if every one of them said “Barack Obama” they would not qualify for a reallocation of delegates* because they don’t meet the 15% threshold AS SPELLED OUT IN THE RULES OF THE DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL COMMITTEE.

*its remotely possible that in one of the 15 districts in which delegates were allocated based on the election results that the number of ballots would reach the 15% threshold — but in that case, it would need to be determined if the delegate should be taken from Clinton or “uncommitted”.

Delegates were stolen from Clinton in Michigan — and no one who understands the rules of the party can argue otherwise. Idiots like yourself, who read Obots on dailykos or emptywheel and believe what you read, may THINK that delegates weren’t stolen — but we’re used to idiots like you…

DNC & BO can go broke. I couldn’t care less. Oprah & Soros can go broke too. That will make my day.

  • Dipsomaniax

If you do the numbers, Clinton ‘wins’ the popular vote only when you actually leave votes out. You can prove anything when you simply neglect events that disadvantage you.

  • http://noquarterusa.net/blog *== President & Commander-in-Chief Hillary Clinton **== |

I see the delegate talking points again. Hillary is not endorsing Obama on Saturday and she is suspending her campaign which means she retains her delegates until the convention.

  • gorgonica

Thanks for the letter. It expresses my sentiments exactly. I also a life long Democrat am switching to Independent. The Democratic party has been virally infected by Republican-style politics. Obama is seeking and getting Republican votes – he doesn’t care if they are enact racist policies as long as they join his movement. It is all about him. Given his disdain for women, I see Roe v. Wade overturned under his administration not McCain’s.

I have donated hundreds maybe 1000s of $$$ to the DNC, DSCC, DCCC and other similar organizations. I’ve replied to all of their requests for donations that they will get zero dollars from me, ever again. There is no possible healing. In fact I see even more oppression and sexism being leveled at women from the Obama camp and its Pravda blogger arm as this campaign goes on. It won’t stop because it is what fuels the energy of his campaign. Like many abusers, the Obama weakness is that neither he nor his followers had the courage to fight the real enemy Dick Cheney and George Bush. They decided to create a more convenient scapegoat, Clinton as surrogate for Bush and heap all of the anger they were too cowardly to dish out at Bush on her. It is sickening and I will never support the Democratic party again. I won’t support the Republican’s either because it is more of the same. I will devote my energy and time to funding viable third party alternatives who can stand up for liberal, progressive, even moderate values without creating scapegoats of women, gays, the poor, and the disadvantaged of society.

  • Bonita

Fine, then, so move on! I’m sure there is another site that would appreciate your deep wisdom of the rules and the process.

  • Strawberry

It means, you dunderhead, she’s playing it close to the vest. Look, let me ‘splain it to you using little itty bitty words. She’s suspending her campaign which means she can start it back up anytime she wants. If she appears combative and says FU Barky, it will make her appear mean and nasty and putting herself above the party. Which could sway the SDs and blow her chances against Mccain in the fall. She has to appear humble and willing to do what’s best for the party but still be able to step back in when barky bites the dust with the whole Rezco, Wright, Pfleger, Ayers…etc. Again, you may not think all that shit means a whole lot but to the people who got Bush eleceted twice it means a whole lot. You can’t win them with Barky. The Rev. Wright video alone chases them right to Mccain. The only chance you’ve got is by winning the Hillary supporters back. Good luck with that.

  • http://comcast.net M.

Yes, I heard it too. The reference was made by Harold Ickes when he began speaking toward to end of the session — shortly before he said he had Mrs. Clinton’s approval to take the dispute to the credentials committee.

I thought it curious and have heard nothing since. I thought perhaps his mentioning Affirmative Action was his way of describing what had been done with the votes. Not sure.

Maybe it isn’t over. Rezko was just convicted. Perhaps he’ll have interesting things to say about Barack to shorten his sentence. And maybe there are some more criminals, bigots, racists, haters, terrorists, etc. who have supported, financed, endorsed and otherwise associated with Barack who will come forward soon enough for voters to know the truth.

    My fellow Hillary peeps,

Please do not be fooled by Barcaca Oblahama and his fellow thugs. The devil speaks with a forked tongue. He is laying on the bullshit and HEAVY to try and woo us and Independants. REJECT HIM! He is a snake oil salesman and needs us, we DON’T need him. He attacked Hillary constantly and used Republican tactics to smear her healthcare plan and bashed her over the gas tax. No surprise since he voted for cousin Dick’s energy bill.

Stand firm and cling to your bitter ballots and say NOBAMA!

    Important:

Hillary Clinton seems to have over $20 M in debt. Something like $11.4 Mill is of her own money. The DNC& Obama are using this to press her for if she doesn’t retire her debt before convention she can only recover up to
$250,000. This is no small detail for she would need the money for a Senate re-election if she is not our President.

It’s the rules! Rules are sacred! We Obamabots love rules! Oh except when they don’t help our campaign. Like when Iowa, Nevada, and South Carolina weren’t punished for moving their primaries forward.

point of information — I don’t think that Nevada moved its caucus date forward…Nevada was supposed to come BEFORE New Hampshire, and be done on its own date — instead it came after New Hampshire, and was done the same day as SC.

And that change in order may have had a profound impact on the campaign — Edwards was expected to get the endorsement of the big labor unions in Vegas, but after his poor showing in New Hampshire, those endorsements went to Obama. Without that endorsement, Obama would have done much worse in NV, and Edwards would have received a boost going into New Hampshire — and the outcome COULD have been different.

Do a search on the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun or Talk Left and you’ll find it.

  • http://www.hillaryclinton.com/contribute/YDFH Rodhamdem

I did. I sent it to Howard Dean, Donna Brazile, and other members of the RBC, as well as to the DNC’s contributions email (dncmemberservices_3@democrats.org, I think).

Also, I suggest anyone that’s really pissed off should call 1-877-336-7200, which is the DNC’s fund raising hotline. In my experience someone ALWAYS picks up on that line, even after hours, as opposed to the DNC’s general line.

  • David Axisrutt

Candidate for deletion. My guess is Mark F is about 35, somewhere in Chicago or close to it, works for Axelrod, and was told to come in here and stir things up.

He’s also the epitome of the tosser dickhead – a lowlife even dogs don’t like.

  • LBJ’s Love Child

Incorrect. Clinton WINS the popular vote when you only count certified votes. Estimates, best guesses, and gimmies don’t count.

    Popular Vote (w/MI)
    Obama 17,535,458 47.4%
    Clinton 17,822,145 48.1% Clinton +286,687 +0.8%

    Estimate w/IA, NV, ME, WA*
    Obama 17,869,542 47.4%
    Clinton 18,046,007 47.9% Clinton +176,465 +0.5%

Popular Vote (w/MI all Uncommitted to Obama)** Obama 17,773,626 48.0%
    Clinton 17,822,145 48.1% Clinton +48,519 +0.1%

  • paul_lukasiak

If you do the numbers, Clinton ‘wins’ the popular vote only when you actually leave votes out. You can prove anything when you simply neglect events that disadvantage you.

sorry, but Clinton wins when you count the votes that were cast. Nobody voted for Obama in Michigan because his name was not on the ballot.

If we start counted what people wished they could have done, then we have to adjust all the caucus numbers, because there is no question that people wish they could have voted for Clinton in the caucuses, but things like families, jobs, and military service prevented that from happening.

  • Calypso

The fact is this primary was stolen from voters by democratic party elitists who have rigged the system to ensure that THEY not voters choose the nominee.

Votes tallied in caucuses are not even legal. You cannot tally votes in states that held a caucus because no official entity certifies them.

Obama kids you better wake up and start thinking critically because if the party insiders had decided to support Biden, Richdardson or Edwards, your candidate would have been screwed by the system.

Many of us Hillary supporters are angry with the “undemocratic” rigged democratic primary election system.

Hey, Obama kids I know you don’t believe this, but it isn’t always about YOU, it is our country that loses when we a have corrupt presidential nomination system.

  • Its OVER because the Lady in the Pant Suit said it was

I received this in my inbox today. One of the perks of having donated money to Hillary Clinton for President, I suppose.

    I

wanted you to be one of the first to know: on Saturday, I will hold an event in Washington D.C. to thank everyone who has supported my campaign. Over the course of the last 16 months, I have been privileged and touched to witness the incredible dedication and sacrifice of so many people working for our campaign. Every minute you put into helping us win, every dollar you gave to keep up the fight meant more to me than I can ever possibly tell you.

On Saturday, I will extend my congratulations to Senator Obama and my support for his candidacy. This has been a long and hard-fought campaign, but as I have always said, my differences with Senator Obama are small compared to the differences we have with Senator McCain and the Republicans.

I have said throughout the campaign that I would strongly support Senator Obama if he were the Democratic Party’s nominee, and I intend to deliver on that promise.

When I decided to run for president, I knew exactly why I was getting into this race: to work hard every day for the millions of Americans who need a voice in the White House.

I made you — and everyone who supported me — a promise: to stand up for our shared values and to never back down. I’m going to keep that promise today, tomorrow, and for the rest of my life.

I will be speaking on Saturday about how together we can rally the party behind Senator Obama. The stakes are too high and the task before us too important to do otherwise.

I know as I continue my lifelong work for a stronger America and a better world, I will turn to you for the support, the strength, and the commitment that you have shown me in the past 16 months. And I will always keep faith with the issues and causes that are important to you.

In the past few days, you have shown that support once again with hundreds of thousands of messages to the campaign, and again, I am touched by your thoughtfulness and kindness.

I can never possibly express my gratitude, so let me say simply, thank you.

    Sincerely,

    Hillary Rodham Clinton

This is so funny. Howard and Donna, with the help of the RBC/DNC sure picked a winner. Media pushed also but for a different reason. And now we see a pattern from Hussein Obama, he has “hung” with these people for 20 years, lay down with dogs you get up with fleas. That’s what my momma told me Donna. LOL they picked a big ol, common everyday crook. Follow the money to Hussein Obama’s front door. HaHaHaHa. People at work are shocked and I am laughing. Hussein Obama’s neighbor, minister Louis Farrakhan, for Supreme Court and I was thinking maybe Ayers as Education Secretary, Sharpton as Defense Secretary. I have been laughing all day at the possibilities with all his friends. My favorite is of course ……..ready ?…… Michelle Obama as Goodwill Ambassador….to damn funny.

  • LBJ’s Love Child

In Michigan, Brazile wanted (and got) votes to reflect mythical Obama supporters who didn’t get the Obama campaign’s (illegal) phone-banking to GO VOTE UNCOMMITTED.

Barry broke the “no-campaigning” rulz in both Michigan and Florida, btw.

I wrote the letter on June 2nd.

If I wrote it today, I would say, “We’re not giving up. Senator Clinton believes strongly in the Democratic Party and has said for months that she would support Senator Obama if he were the nominee. She is a woman of her word. I respect her for that, but I will not join her. Obama will never receive my support. He has not earned it, and after everything he’s done in this campaign to personally malign Hillary, he will never get it.”

That tape was absolutely devastating! I would like to thank all of you for having the courage to bring such a tape to our attention. For all of the people that call Larry Johnson and the rest of the people here delusional, paranoid, pathetic dead-enders I just have this to say: they aren’t so crazy now that the tape has been released are they?!?

Wait, the tape still hasn’t been released? You guys are a bunch of delusional, paranoid, and pathetic dead-enders.

This is so funny. Just before logging on to NO QUARTER and seeing this fantastic letter I finished sending in my latest survey and request for funds to the DNC.

I wrote -$0.00- in the amount line and told them to go ask some Obama supporters such as the ones who called me moron, racist, neocon because obviously the DNC had me confused with one of them.

I also included with the survey and donation form copies of some actual Obama supporter’s vile statements to me including the one where someone wanted to shoot me and serve me up as a duck dinner. I also included a copy of my statement on why I can’t support Obama, all of it issue based. I also included a post on why I left the Party from over the Liberal Rapture website and added a few hand written personal notes.

Then I put it all in the DNC envelope but did not put a stamp on it so they have to pay for the postage.

  • Milly

Wishing this is not a repetition of my previous message, but it couldn’t get trough, apologies in advance! No money nor support for the ‘africano’!

Wow, it is refreshing to hear someone talking with so high respect towards Sen Rodham, after listening and reading all the bashing, the mockery, coming from her detractors, well let’s see who has the last laughter. It is not ended, on the contrary this is the real beginning for this fight to demand justice!

A dignify, honorable, and urgent message from Pastor Manning to Sen Rodham! Lovely words!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UuysWJDP6J4

Urgent message to Sen Hillary Clinton, as the 2008 primary season has ended, you without a doubt Sen clinton has won the nomination for the presidency of the Democratic party. Yours have been the most impressive run for the presidency in the long and glorious history of this nation, you have demonstrated the courage of Benazir Bhutto, the wisdowm and poise of Cleopatra and the leadership strength of Deborah, of the old testament. While i am not a supporter of you or your husband, I must bow in humble adoration of your place in world history as a champion of champion as fearless competitor…

You have won the nomination taken on and defeating not only your opponent Barack Hussein Obama but also this nation of the liberal media and the whole of the african american people who turn on you with a rabid avegeance thorough you have won more votes than any person in America primary history and but for the outright denial of the will of the people by the Democratic party since January and the rules committee on Saturday you would have won the pledge of the votes.

Your own party openly campaigned against you and the election has been hijacked. Because the poll shows that you can beat John Mccain in a landslide, I will now from this day forward willl refer to you as Madame President, first woman to do so in America and, congratulations!

Then he continues to talk about the information he has against Barracka and urgest Sen Rodham to go independent…and for the people to stop watching CNN…

I write on the outside of the envelopes for the benefit of the postal workers, too!

    My Final Rant:

I entered the poltical arena in 2006. In January of 2007, right here in my homestate of Iowa, I watched a woman take the stage in a fairgrounds 4-H hall, speaking to a crowd on a -14 degree crisp winter morning. I watched her address issues from college costs to the war to global warming. I saw someone more powerful than I could even imagine. As an executive on the University Democrats Exec Board at the University of Iowa and President of UI Students for Hillary, I met all of our candidates except for Mike Gravel. I met most of their spouses as well, some of these candidates more than once. After meeting all of these people, I came tomy own conclusion that I liked Hillary Clinton best. I liked the Edwards’, Dodds’,Bidens’, Richardson, etc., but the one couple, who would have guessed,I did not like were the Obamas. They were so aloof and came off as arrogant as they grabbed my finger. I talked for at least 5 minutes personally with all other candidates, including the Clintons. SO I dedicated one year of my life to helping out in Iowa. Well, caucus night, 2008. My caucus site is one of the hardest in the state for Hillary. Iowa City -05. In the heart of the campus, where almost half of the student body comes from Chicago. We were not viable on first go around, we had 11 brave souls. You needed 20 to be viable. Well, things happen and on second go around we get all of Biden’s people and Dodd’s,bringing us to 19. This is when it happened. I am a gay Latino, age 20, and the Obama precinct capatain walked over with 2 obamabots and tried to convince us to come over to them. Not happening. My people, God bless em’, were not budging for anyone, least of all Barack Obama. She suddenly screamed “You’re not even viable anyways”, and as she walked away, she called me a fag…This was the turning point for me. NEVER have I been called this. Let alone by a democrat, even if it is an Obama-fake democrat. The it continued from there, I have since been called a racist 5 times on campus when someone saw my Hillary buttons, once by a kid in a shirt that said…no I am not kidding…”Got Hope?” in the fashion of the Got Milk? Ads. Loser. I have heard the word cunt used by a former friend and supposed feminist to describe our former First Lady and New York Senator.

I just want to say, I have put most of my adult life so far (only 2 years since I could vote) into DEMOCRATIC politics. I have been backstabbed by people I helped elect, and I cannot even begin to imagine how women feel about this bs. They are the majority of workers in our party, and in this country. They are now being told to shut up and vote party loyalty……there is no more party loyalty on many of our minds, and we didn’t want it this way.

So, we have nominated the candidate with connections to terrorists, indicted and sentenced criminals, ties to Kenya’s corrupt regime. We have nominated someone with the experience of being a state legislator. We have nominated someone that has said he wants to cut defense spending and has a bad record on guns for the general. We have nominated someone that is losing the General Election and has been on almost every electoral map available. We have nominated a sexist,race-baiter. We have nominated someone that has spent the last year trashing the record of our only 2 term president since FDR, I hope he doesn’t want to run on that good record of Bill’s, he will have to stick with Carter’s terrible economic record. And we are going to put this up against John McCain, a POW and war hero that has served his country since he was a teenager. Someone that has been to the middle east more than just for 1 photoshoot. Someone with national security creds. Someone that can win the dissaffected Reagan dems. Wow. All to pass up Hillary Clinton because she is a woman and is a Clinton.

NEVER will I vote for Barack Obama. The race card thing he is playing HAS ALREADY lost him the Latino vote, let me say this now. He will also likely lose the white women’s vote, and HE DESERVES to. And he will lose us the White House.

I have had it with this party. It does not represent people like me anymore. It allowed the sexism, race-baiting, homophobia, and plain reverse racism to go on unchallenged. It has allowed the loss of te 2008 General Election in a year we should easily win. Shame Shame we all know your names, and we will remember:

    John Kerry
    Nancy Pelosi
    Harry Reid
    Jay Rockefeller
    Ted Kennedy
    Jimmy Carter
    Donna Brazile
    Bob Casey Jr
    David Axelrod
    Tim Russert
    Tim Johnson
    Tom Daschle
    Claire McCaskill
    Luis Guttierez
    Lois Capps
    Bruce Braley
    Dave Loebsack
    Chet Culver
    Tim Kaine
    Jim Clyburne
    etc. etc.

Senator Clinton’s support is strong. We are not giving up, and neither is she,..

Um…what are people going to say after she does give up? You’re all going to reject her wishes and support a man from the Republican party she’s opposed to?

She’s said she wants to unify Democrats. How can people say they honor her and insist they’re not going to respect her wishes all at the same time?

    Just asking.

The other good thing about calling this number is it costs the DNC money every time someone calls the 877 number. We should flood the number with calls for the next week.

My answer to letter from Hill:

    Dear Senator Clinton,

I am a professional woman from a wholly Republican district in the South and one of your strong supporters both as a blogger and contributor. I have been a Democrat for over thirty years and am a very active member of a liberal women’s organization. Obviously, I am an independent thinker. I appreciate your devotion to the Democratic Party, but I will not support Obama. I will vote for McCain not because I support him, but against Obama. It is not just the sexism in this campaign which infuriates me, but also the fact that neither this man nor his wife shares my values. I can’t understand how the Democratic Party can support a candidate who has condoned blatant racism and who has friends who are scary and an embarrassment to this country. Since I know how strongly I feel, I can say with confidence that there are many other women who share my outrage and will also vote Republican in November. It is a vote for my country not a party.

Hmmm, now we know why the RBC did what the did. She had over 100 delegates from Florida and 73 from Michigan. If he got zero from Michigan and both states had been able to seat with full strength, she could have added over 86 delegates and he would have lost 59. Hmm, that brings her total to 1725 and Obama’s to 1707

The Clinton Camapign is $20 million in debt. Why did the 18 million who voted for Hillary not send her more money? Hillary started with a huge advantage in support from party leaders such as Gov Rendell and recognition among voters. This should not have been close. A loyal, overconfident and ineffective staff failed its candidate.

  • Susaninbosque

I was sad to read a recent post at Taylor Marsh – whose insight I have found useful from time to time – indicating that we can beat the Republicans if we will just hold on to our anger and not give into the inclination to NOT vote Democratic or to vote for McCain.

What I find so difficult about this approach is that we have every reason to believe that Obama may be far worse than McCain and we have NO reason to believe that the DNC is still being run by Democrats as I’ve known them all of my life.

That translates to me: McCain is a known lousy quantity and Obama is an unknown empty suit that can be filled up with anything depending on who has enough money. I STILL don’t know whose pulling Obama’s strings for sure but he certainly isn’t driven by any values that I recognize as my own. So for the folks who take Taylor Marsh’s position, I say: I just don’t know what it is that I would be voting for. It may be that something happens that tells me the answer to the above question or:

Obama does the crash that we all suspect and we get Hillary back. But after what I’ve seen, I’m not sure I’m that optomistic. Not good.

Here’s something you never thought about… The sign of intelligence is when a person can balance two conflicting ideas in their mind and act consistent with their core value system. Supporting Hillary and respecting her wishing and at the same time voting against Obama is a very consisting position of an intelligent person who just doesn’t fellow but have a reason to follow and values to defend. That’s something any Obama support would find difficult to understand. Deal with it simpletons. Go McCain08.

  • http://hyper-educated-uppity-woman.blogspot.com Uppity Woman

You’re all going to reject her wishes and support a man from the Republican party she’s opposed to?

You haven’t been close to politics very long have you? Nevermind.

I don’t vote for people on the “wishes” of anybody. I pick who I vote for. At least so long as the left-cliff Marxists aren’t in charge. I pick who I vote for. Period. And I choose not to vote for Barack Obama. If you have a problem with that, well, that’s just tough. I don’t need your approval and neither does anybody else on this board. This is a problem you Marxist Obama people have. You don’t get that you can’t tell anybody else what to do. And we will make sure you never get that chance.

  • Dipsomaniax

Yep, I noted it. I also saw that the story says that leading Democrats had *already* agreed not to campaign there. Looks to me like Clinton was the one breaking her promise.

MI and FL knowingly broke rules, knowing the consequences. Clinton agreed the votes wouldn’t be counted before changing her mind and pushing for the opposite. By rights, nobody should have gotten anything from those states. Clinton cannot then turn around and say she’s the only one that should get votes from them.

  • paul_lukasiak

How was anything ’stolen’ when Clinton agreed to the vote-splitting arrangement?

    “there is no deal”

the “agreement” that was reached concerned delegates that would be counted at FULL STRENGTH — Clinton had an 18 delegate lead over “uncommitted”, and “the deal” would result in her having a 10 delegate lead. But seating at only half-strength, imposing the deal reduces her advantage to 5 net delegates.

More importantly, the “deal” would have compelled the RBC to seat Florida at full strength, giving Clinton an additional net 38 delegates (instead of the net 19 she got becaue Obama demanded that women, latinos, seniors, and jewish voters be treated as “half voters” — while also asking that the Michigan delegation be seated AT FULL STRENGTH (but with more delegates stolen from Clinton) — and moving the magic number even further out of Obama’s reach.

Oh, and the “Michigan Compromise” did not require that the rules be ignored — delegates would have been apportioned as required in the “fair reflection” rules, and the Clinton campaign would not compete for the votes of “uncommitted” delegates, and provide the names of four Obama supporters among those eligible to serve as her “at large” delegates. THAT is within the rules.

Call the DNC TOLL-FREE–They Are Taking Comments…Here’s What I Told Them…
Posted on May 6, 2008 by GRL

I just got off the line with the DNC. A very sweet woman named Lisa Burgess took my comments…I could hear her typing in the background. (The number is at the end of this post.)

Several times during my polite, but very intense tirade on the DNC and this primary season, she told me that she could “really understand.” I think she must be “really understanding” a lot these days…

I first took apart the DNC for their handling of MI and FL and explained that I believed Obama was being “enabled.” I said he was a big boy and had taken his name of the MI ballot by his own decision and that he had held a press event and had ads spilling into FL–it was HE that BROKE THE RULES. I said that the party was disenfranchising voters to fix things for HIM!

I told her that that the party was at fault for not vetting him, but that he was ALSO at fault for not following his own statement about how he wasn’t going to run. I faulted him on his EGO that allowed himself to be “massaged” into running (I was being kind).

I told her that this seemed to be a personal vendetta against the Clintons. I told her I was a woman pushing 60 who had lived through it all and was being INSULTED by Obama and the media’s misogyny…Obama’s snide looks and his wife’s snotty comments about the Clinton marriage were ticking me off. I said I had never heard Obama call off his supporters holding sexist signs at the recent JJ Dinner in NC. Where was his leadership on that? I asked where the party was on statements made by the media that were sexist?

I said that Kerry’s influence on all this was a giveaway–the man who wouldn’t fight for the votes in OH in 2004 and left Edwards out there hanging. I said that I had been an Edwards supporter and that I knew the party had gone corporate and that Clinton and Obama were on that page…and it was sad that Edwards was drummed out of the race.

Then I got to the subject of a “unity” ticket. I said Obama didn’t deserve to be on the ticket if Clinton were the nominee because he would drag her down! His associations with Wright and Ayers would be the lightning rod of the campaign…FOX and YouTube were already doing their thing…

I also told here that the party was OUT-OF-TOUCH and if they shoved this guy at me, I WOULD NOT VOTE FOR HIM. This would be the first time I would not vote because 1) I was sick of enabling the party’s stupidity especially if it failed to seat MI and FL as is (no “splitting votes” to further enable Obama) and 2) it was my way of protesting and I didn’t feel compelled to vote for a machine that had insulted my intelligence.

Then I said that the “enabling” of Obama via endorsement by delegates every time he got in trouble was the stupidest thing I had ever seen, that I thought these people were INSANE and inept.

I told her, that in contrast, I was REALITY-BASED!

My final salvo was that I was about to “de-register” from the party and that there was no more money coming from me. Dean et al had proven to be a huge disappointment and the Democratic Party was no longer “my party.”

    *****

The very pleasant Lisa sighed one more time, muttered she “really understood” and wished me a good day.

I wished her a good day, too.

And fingers crossed that it WILL be a good day in IN and NC for the me and the “reality based” among us!

PS–HERE’S THE TOLL-FREE NUMBER TO THE DNC!

    UniversityofiowaJR,

Your post really spoke to me. I too am a fairly new Democrat, I joined the party in 2004 because I was simply infuriated with Bush and the Republican Party. The Democrat Party, I have found, is not the party of the people, but the party of a privileged few who control the primaries and candidates through party rules and procedures. Hillary Clinton was not given the opportunity to win the nomination, even tho she is the best candidate. This is it for me and the Democrats. I wish I could take back my contributions. They will not have my support in the future.

Thank you, that letter expresses exactly how many people feel about Obama, not just Hillary supporters. Bummer. We need a democrat. This was not a stolen nomination. It was done by the bad rules that governed the game. You can’t change the rules midstream. Florida and Michigan DO NOT COUNT. The rules were broken.

A vote for McCain is like cutting off your foot in protest of I don’t know what. Obama will be better for the country than McSame. The things that were said about all of us were wrong. I will bet anyone a six pack of their favorite that Obama loses by at least half the numbers of voters that voted for Hillary–namely, 9,000,000 votes. Meet me at the corner bar on election day to collect or to pay. The republicans will have a field day and Hillary will lose twice in a row if she accepts an Obama offer to be his VP. Some things are fair in life and some things are not.

re: affirmative action and fair reflection…

What Ickes was talking about was principles and priorities —

IIRC (just read this part of the rules once) Candidates are responsible for submitting names of delegates eligible to serve as PLEOS — if the rest of their slates of delegates are not reflective of the racial/ethnic balance in the state, candidates have to submit names that can create that balance in their delegations — and the state parties have to choose their PLEOS with an eye toward that balance.

Essentially if a states delegation is inconsistent with affirmative action guidelines, delegates can be stripped from the state (by the CREDENTIALS committee) to achieve the proper balance — and in general, the candidate whose delegations are unbalanced is the one who will lose delegates.

The middle of the road folks that got Bush into office, the ones that work hard and don’t blog are your real concern. To: Fellow McCain Supporters

    From: Senator Joe Lieberman

    Date: June 5th, 2008

Today, I asked Senator McCain if I could create and chair a new grassroots organization, “Citizens for McCain.”

Citizens for McCain is an organization within the McCain campaign for people who put country before political party and support the candidate for President who has a proven record of bipartisanship.

As you know, I caucus with the Democrats as a United States Senator and was the Democrat Party’s nominee for Vice-President of the United States against President Bush and Vice President Cheney.

But first and foremost, I am an American. I have an obligation to do what I think is best for our nation regardless of political party. My love for this country and strong belief in John McCain’s character, judgment, and willingness to work with leaders of both parties has convinced me to support him for President.

I have worked with John McCain for many years in the U.S. Senate and know from experience that he can unite Democrats, Republicans and Independents like no one else in this country. He did it in the United States Senate and he can do it as President of the United States.

But we need help from McCain supporters such as you to reach out to Americans who are not currently involved in the campaign. Will you help us by recruiting your friends, family, and co-workers who may not consider themselves members of the Republican Party and ask them to join the Citizens for McCain organization?

I am confident we will find many Democrats and Independents who, like John McCain and me, put country before political party and will support a leader with a real record of bipartisanship.

Time and time again John McCain has put his country first. He refused early release when he was held captive in Vietnam. He continued to put his country first as a national leader in the U.S. Senate. He put country before party when he fought to pass campaign finance reform, sought a bi-partisan solution to the immigration problem, and consistently supported pro-environment policies. His courage to stand up to the failed Iraq war plan of Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and lead the fight for a new strategy in Iraq will go down in history, and it saved American lives. These were not always the easy things to do. In fact, they were usually very difficult, and often threatened his political career. But John McCain did what was right.

He said it best in his speech in New Orleans on Tuesday night:

“(The American people) know I have a long record of bipartisan problem solving. They’ve seen me put our country before any President — before any party — before any special interest — before my own interest. They might think me an imperfect servant of our country, which I surely am. But I am her servant first, last and always.”

The phones at the campaign headquarters have been ringing with disaffected Democrats calling to say they believe Senator McCain has the experience, judgment, and bipartisanship necessary to lead our country in these difficult times. Many of these supporters are former supporters of Senator Clinton.

Senator McCain has had a very good working relationship with Senator Clinton and will continue to do so in the future. In the same New Orleans speech he said:

“Senator Clinton has earned great respect for her tenacity and courage. The media often overlooked how compassionately she spoke to the concerns and dreams of millions of Americans, and she deserves a lot more appreciation than she sometimes received. As the father of three daughters, I owe her a debt for inspiring millions of women to believe there is no opportunity in this great country beyond their reach. I am proud to call her my friend.”

I am proud to call John McCain my friend and ask you to help our friend become the next President of the United States.

Please forward this email to your lists today and ask your friends, family, and coworkers who do not consider themselves Republicans to join me in filling out the Citizens for McCain form today.

Thank you for your willingness to help me expand this new organization. Together, we will make history

Arianna Huffington: Repblican. Married to Michael (I’m not gay I’m bi Huffington) in 1985. Told the world that we would be so much better off if we were to elect Bob Dole in 1996

Markos: voted for the first Bush in 1992

Aravosis: voted Republican until 1991 (also told the world in 2000 that there was really no difference between Bush and Gore…)

Sullivan-can’t vote here in the U.S. but has been jerking off to pictures of Maggie Thatcher and Ronald Reagan for 25 years. Voted for Bush in 2000. Has always hated the Clinton’s. Said recently that one of the things he liked about Obama was there really wasn’t much of a difference between he and McCain on some core principles.

Maybe that’s why younger people don’t see through him and older people do. We’ve seen the “charmers” and the heartbreak they leave behind.

  • Leah

You need to get your story straight. The people of Florida and Michigan did not decide to move the primaries up. In Florida, the Republicans in the Florida Congress outvoted the Dems to do so. The people didn’t vote on this, but we are the ones being punished. We won’t forget it, either. The DNC wanted to slap us on the wrists for what our state politicians did. Guess what… we’ll slap them right back by becoming Independents. And I certainly won’t vote for a politician who didn’t want my vote to count unless it served his purpose. Every candidate was on our ballot in Florida; we chose who we wanted.

  • Me

The point is, all of the whining about stealing votes and delegates, all of the complaining about the unfair compromise of the DNC…are based on the deal…so, fine: DON’T COUNT THEM. PERIOD. Why any other decision was reached is beyond me, but be sure it was done in a way that would not affect the outcome because there was no other option, nor was there “theft”. Take those votes and delegates out of the totals. Michigan was unfair for Hillary. Florida was unfair for Obama. Ignore them both as each candidate promised.

Obama did not push to have them included. Hillary did. The claims of her legitimacy are based on including states that all parties, herself included, disavowed at the outset.

So ignore them. Obama wins, and Hillary loses her “Popular vote” claim, and that’s just the way it went. Even if it sucks, don’t sell out past promises because it is expedient for the present.

That is was voters, myself included, are tired of.

  • jjran

After the way Obama, the most unqualified person to run for the DP nomination, treated his church, all his associates, the persons he called uncles and brothers for over those 20 years in the most hate mongering, race-baiting church, Could you imagine if Obama was in Vietnam prison? The Limits of Loyalty

A limit to loyalty exists when harm comes to others should the allegiance be continued. Loyalty is used as a mechanism to manipulate others into doing horrendous actions. Consider the concept of greater good. Consider the concept of good faith agreement.

The DNC did not act in good faith toward the American people and Hillary Rodham Clinton. They violated good faith–they are not owed any allegiance.

Barack Obama is a liar. He and his campaign have not acted in good faith to the American people and Hillary Rodham Clinton. They violated good faith and, apparently, campaign law in multiple states. He is not owed any allegiance by Hillary Rodham Clinton and the American people.

To encourage your supporters to accept these violations is to encourage complicity. You may have made a promise, but compare what keeping the promise will bring forth to what breaking the promise will save. A quotation was attributed to you, Senator Clinton, regarding how many times one should forgive. Surely you have done so seven times seventy and more. There are limits to loyalty, Senator Clinton. Please see them and act accordingly.

The RBC accepted the Michigan delegation’s plan to split their delegates 69-59. Obama had the votes on the
committee to get 4 morebut in deference to party unity conceeded them to Hillary instead of playing hardball.

4 delegates wasn’t going to change the outcome of the race. Obama has dozens more than he needed. You folks are just driving yourselves crazy. You might as well argue the surge worked.

  • beebop

Instead, you are supporting the Presumptuous Nominee? The one who had to be given her delegates last weekend and had to turn voters into half shares? Yeah. That’s the way I’d want to make history if I had my choice. Minimize voters and muscle everyone out of the way. Hopey …. changey … rah ….. rah …..

  • uhh somehow this notion that I am qualified to be president is uhh uhh ridiculous

Regardless of whether or not you worked that day, the caucus system is fatally flawed. It does not nearly reflect the electorate. Consider the fact that in states holing non binding primaries subsequent to their caucus, the numbers were greatly different. When smaller percentages of voters award more delegates than larger ones, it is not a reflection of democracy..one person, one vote.

This was sent to me an I thought others might profit from it.
    Getting to Know John McCain
It came to me while I was having dinner with Doris Day. No, not that
    Doris Day.
The Doris Day who is married to Col. Bud Day, Congressional Medal of
Honor recipient, fighter pilot, Vietnam POW and roommate of John McCain at the Hanoi Hilton.

As we ate near the Days’ home in Florida recently, I heard things
    about Sen.
McCain that were deeply moving and politically troubling. Moving
because they told me things about him the American people need to know. And troubling because it is clear that Mr. McCain is one of the most private individuals to run for president in history.
[Getting to Know John McCain] AP Col. (Ret.) Bud Day with John McCain
at a campaign stop in Pensacola, Fla., in January.

When it comes to choosing a president, the American people want to
know more about a candidate than policy positions. They want to know about character, the values
ingrained in his heart. For Mr. McCain, that means they will want to
know more about him personally than he has been willing to reveal.

Mr. Day relayed to me one of the stories Americans should hear. It
involves what happened to him after escaping from a North Vietnamese prison during the war.
When he was recaptured, a Vietnamese captor broke his arm and said,
‘I told you I would make you a cripple.’

The break was designed to shatter Mr. Day’s will. He had survived in
prison on the hope that one day he would return to the United States and be able to fly again. To kill that hope, the Vietnamese left part of a bone sticking out of his arm, and put him in a misshapen cast. This was done so that the arm would heal at ‘a goofy angle,’ as Mr. Day explained. Had it done so, he never would have flown again.

But it didn’t heal that way because of John McCain. Risking severe
punishment, Messrs. McCain and Day collected pieces of bamboo in the prison courtyard to use as a splint. Mr. McCain put Mr. Day on the floor of their cell and,
using his foot, jerked the broken bone into place. Then, using strips from the bandage on his own wounded leg and the bamboo, he put Mr. Day’s splint in place.

Years later, Air Force surgeons examined Mr. Day and complemented the
treatment he’d gotten from his captors. Mr. Day corrected them. It was Dr.
McCain who deserved the credit. Mr. Day went on to fly again.

Another story I heard over dinner with the Days involved Mr. McCain
serving as one of the three chaplains for his fellow prisoners. At one point, after being shuttled among different prisons, Mr. Day had found himself as the most senior officer at the Hanoi Hilton. So he tapped Mr. McCain to help administer religious services to the other prisoners.

Today, Mr. Day, a very active 83, still vividly recalls Mr. McCain’s
    sermons.
‘He remembered the Episcopal liturgy,’ Mr. Day says, ‘and sounded
like a bonafide preacher.’ One of Mr. McCain’s first sermons took as its text
Luke 20:25 and Matthew 22:21, ‘render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s and unto God what is God’s.’ Mr. McCain said he and his fellow prisoners
shouldn’t ask God to free them, but to help them become the best
people they could be while serving as POWs. It was Caesar who put them in prison and Caesar who would get them out. Their task was to act with honor.

Another McCain story, somewhat better known, is about the Vietnamese
practice of torturing him by tying his head between his ankles with his arms behind him, and then leaving him for hours. The torture so badly busted up his shoulders that to this day Mr. McCain can’t raise his arms over his head.
One night, a Vietnamese guard loosened his bonds, returning at the
end of his watch to tighten them again so no one would notice. Shortly after, on Christmas Day, the same guard stood beside Mr. McCain in the prison yard and drew a cross in the sand before erasing it. Mr. McCain later said that when he returned to Vietnam for the first time after the war, the only person he really wanted to meet was that guard.

Mr. Day recalls with pride Mr. McCain stubbornly refusing to accept
special treatment or curry favor to be released early, even when gravely ill.

Mr. McCain knew the Vietnamese wanted the propaganda victory of the son and grandson of Navy admirals accepting special treatment. ‘He wasn’t corruptible then,’ Mr. Day says, ‘and he’s not corruptible today.’

The stories told to me by the Days involve more than wartime valor.

For example, in 1991 Cindy McCain was visiting Mother Teresa’s
orphanage in Bangladesh when a dying infant was thrust into her hands. The orphanage could not provide the medical care needed to save her life, so Mrs. McCain brought the child home to America with her. She was met at the airport by her husband, who asked what all this was about.

Mrs. McCain replied that the child desperately needed surgery and
years of rehabilitation. ‘I hope she can stay with us,’ she told her husband.
Mr. McCain agreed. Today that child is their teenage daughter Bridget.

I was aware of this story. What I did not know, and what I learned
    from Doris,
is that there was a second infant Mrs. McCain brought back. She ended
up being adopted by a young McCain aide and his wife.

‘We were called at midnight by Cindy,’ Wes Gullett remembers, and
‘five days later we met our new daughter Nicki at the L.A. airport wearing the only clothing Cindy could find on the trip back, a 7-Up T-shirt she bought in the Bangkok airport.’ Today, Nicki is a high school sophomore. Mr. Gullett told me, ‘I never saw a hospital bill’ for her care.

A few, but not many, of the stories told to me by the Days have been
written about, such as in Robert Timberg’s 1996 book ‘A Nightingale’s Song.’
But Mr. McCain rarely refers to them on the campaign trail. There is
something admirable in his reticence, but he needs to overcome it.

Private people like Mr. McCain are rare in politics for a reason.
Candidates who are uncomfortable sharing their interior lives limit their appeal. But if Mr. McCain is to win the election this fall, he has to open up.

Americans need to know about his vision for the nation’s future,
especially his policy positions and domestic reforms. They also need to learn about the moments in his life that shaped him. Mr. McCain cannot make this a biography-only campaign – but he can’t afford to make it a biography-free campaign either.
Unless he opens up more, many voters will never know the experiences
of his life that show his character, integrity and essential decency.

These qualities mattered in America’s first president and will matter
as Americans decide on their 44th president.

  • beebop

I’m your worst night mare … a former Democrat now Independent. This garbage doesn’t sell me. That’s what he’s supposed to be able to do, right? Attract Independents? Instead, he’s driving Democrats out? There’s a plan … you have a nice day November 4th. You might want to get a start on voter registration there in Hyde Park and see if you can find a cemetary that someone might have missed.

  • Dipsomaniax

Your state politicians made a choice, knowing that the consequences was that votes wouldn’t be counted. The fault is THEIRS, not the DNC’s.

You can’t argue that the DNC is at fault for enforcing these rules and then come back and complain that NOT enforcing other rules is also bad.

  • mariner

Forget it . Hillary is a politician too . If she insists on supporting Obama then she can suffer the same consequences as Obama.

  • Dipsomaniax

    I also just noticed this:
“And I certainly won’t vote for a politician who didn’t want my vote to count unless it served his purpose.”

Unless I’m missing something, that’s what Clinton did. She at first agreed to NOT count votes, then changed her mind when she needed them.

  • JP49

Last night I printed off the list of superdelegates who supported Obama. Next, I printed off a complete list of all the superdelegates for all states. Carefully I went through the State List and checked off each superdelegate that voted for Obama. Then I went back and checked off the superdelegates who switched from Clinton to Obama adding a “T” meaning traitor. I know some did it Wednesday because he is our presumed nominee. However, they should have stuck with Clinton until she told them otherwise. I will note vote for any superdelegate who supported him. Superdelegates know about Obama and have heard and read all that we have. If they still endorsed him it sure seems as if they have little common sense and they don’t deserve to be in office. I will support their opponent. Even if Obama murdered someone, they would have an excuse for him. Fitzgerald probably has more than enough to indict Obama. What’s he waiting for. Well, I guess its bad timing to indict the presumptive democratic nominee. I’m looking for some vengence and my vote is a good way to start.

I pity TM — she must enjoy being abused.

Obama is an abuser — he has zero respect for women. He’s one of the worst MCP (male chauvinist pig) — he is an in your face MCP. PROUD of being a MCP — proof — he flipped off Senator Clinton.

There is no way in hell that I would ever vote for or even consider voting for a narcissistic psychopathic liar like snObama. I REMEMBER that snObama was telling the voters of Ohio one thing about NAFTA while telling the Canadians another story about NAFTA. I remember what Obama told the donors in SF on Nob Hill.

Obama and the rest of the Chicago political machine were busy looting — and so far ONE guy has been caught — Rezko. Obama was/is part of the gang that was looting Chicago — look at his mansion for proof.

Obama OWES a lot of favors — pay backs for funding his campaign. These high-rollers are just waiting to loot the US treasury.

I don’t want the Chicago corruption imported into Washington DC — the DC corruption is bad enough.

Rezko’s conviction yesterday IS an indictment of Obama.

Bottom line — Obama has more negatives than McCain. And when you look at Obama’s long term associations — crooks, traitors and haters — that is the deal breaker. A person’s friends and associates tell us everything we need to know about that person.

Could it be that INDEPENDENT VOTER is the third party in the US?

Do we even have a voice with the DNC if Obama is now making changes in the DNC. I understand that Obama is already bringing in his own people on the DNC and has kindly said that Dean can stay as head.
If Obama is now in charge of the DNC how can we be heard. The below was posted on Greta Wire—-

More reason to vote against Obama

Any surprise he will LET Dean stay on? Gee, let me see – Dean stole the whole nomination for him – along with his other cronies Kennedy, Pelosi, Kerry, Reid.

What is up with all of this? Anyone ask yourself the real scoop is??????????????????

I say we have no idea what is really up – only history will reveal it – perhaps too late for the American people.

  • http://www.bartcop.com/141-bombshell-sample.m3u Proud of Hillary

I was completely enthralled with the political process, enamored with Hillary’s confidence, experience, sophistication, and so many other great qualities. I was excited about seeing the first female president, especially Hillary Clinton.

I liked Obama in the beginning, before I knew anything about him. I was impressed by his speech a few years ago.

But, the more I learned about him the more I disliked him. I don’t like all his ties to radicals – the racist preachers, Farrakhan, Rezko, the Chicago crooks, the Iraqi criminals, and Ayers, the terrorist bomber of American sites who helped Obama launch his campaign.

But, what really turned me against him were his efforts to block the FL & MI votes, his collusion with the DNC, his goons stealing caucuses, his surrogates trying to throw Hillary out, trying to make the Clintons look like racists, his refusal to debate after the really bad one, his two-faced lies on just about everything including Hillary and her agenda, and the way he, his surrogates, and the DNC continually savaged Hillary.

And, he and the DNC taking half of Hillary’s FL & MI delegates, but leaving him with his South Carolina delegates intact even though SC broke the same rule.

Obama having the nerve to ask for and get any MI delegates when he wasn’t even on the ballot. And, claiming ALL the uncommitted which meant he hijacked the votes of people who voted for Mike Gravel or any of the other candidates who were not on the ballot.

It was his strategic decision to take his name off to gain favor in Iowa. It worked, he won Iowa. He should have accepted the MI loss along with the IA gain.

And, of course, the cherry on top was taking the 4 MI delegates directly from Hillary.

I call it corrupt politics which makes him no better than any other politician.

I congratulate Hillary for running a clean and honest campaign. And, for winning the People’s Votes, the only honest numbers.

After all of that, I am thoroughly disgusted and have no more interest in politics or in voting. Let the chips fall where they may. If I do get re-energized it will be to vote for McCain. I’m not concerned about Roe v Wade because there will likely be a Democratic Congress to control him.

Of course, the best scenario would be for the delegates to recognize that Hillary won the People’s Votes and would win in November. Much can happen in two months.

Months ago I extolled the vitues of women in politics and how they handled major crises. Margret Thatcher and the Faulklands war, Golda Mier and the Yom Kippur war,Indira Ghandi and the Pakistani war (which led to the creation of Bangladesh)etc, etc.

The point is all of them showed admirable courage and sound judgement. I believe we have that in Hillary Clinton.

I’m 99.9% sure we do NOT have those qualities in Obama. He wants to bomb Pakistan if (in his judgement)it warrants it. He’ll sit down with the clown from Iran, but yesterday he says he’ll bomb it if HE thinks it’s necessary. Just where does he stand on all these issues?

Taylor has succumbed to the Stockholm Syndrome.

To illustrate. There is a really nice woman across the street from me. She is bright, very attractive and works as a high paid para-legal for a top law firm. She has been married for 23 years to an abusive horrible drunk SOB. One night he took a plate and bloodied her head for bringing home Chinese food instead of Pizza.

For the last 3 years she has filed for a divorce 2 separate times as the time limit for the oiginal filing ran out. She alternates between being sane, and that is when I go for walk with her in the evening. Other times she is insane, takes him back until he either beats the hell out of her again, or she catches him with his latest girlfriend in the house.

When we speak, I ask her if she does not want better. Lots of excuses but they all boil down to having any MAN is better than not having one. That is the Stockholm Syndrome of the battered wife.

Taylor is the same way – having a party and actually allowing the abuses, is in her mind, better than venturing out alone. Try and keep that in mind.

Here at NQ most of us know Obama is the dregs of humanity. Thanks to Larry and Susan, who works her heart out everyday, despite serious health issues, we have a haven of sanity that encourages us to stand up. Perhaps Taylor is more afraid of being without, than looking at facts and saying “No way in hell will I be responsible or part of in supporting THAT kind of behavior”.

You know, I didn’t realize that it does take courage to walk away, until two people I actually have respect for, Taylor and Jeralyn, chose to go to the Dark Side rather than stand and fight for what is right and truth.

Those that can, send Larry and Susan some love for providng us all with a place to grow strong and courageous – button to the right of page.

I’ve already written my feelings well before this to the DNC and told them I would not support their efforts.

The result was that they stripped Hillary of 4 of her earned delegates at their rules committee. So much for listening to voters.

My position now is that I’m just not all that interested. They can get their money from the Obama supporters.

    They have tons, anyway.

They don’t need mine. I’m definitely going to spend my own “political money” on candidates to oust the Democratic Party members who endorsed Obama.

There is no signature or ID check. ANYONE is allowed in — no proof of anything is required. List of caucus goers is NOT checked and verified against list of registered voters.

Obamabots in many places were in charge of everything — which means lots of fraud.

Caucus are NON democratic — numbers were made up. “Voters” were imported. Lots of Democrats for a day.

snObama gamed the state caucuses — proof is in the WA and TX caucus vs primary votes.

It would be very nice of you to share your hard work. As a comrade in the People’s Republic of MA I have Cadillac Coupe Deval Patrick, the Senator I cannot say anything bad about because he is ill, the Senator I hope is unseated, and Barney. They all have received notice (or at least their paid staffers did) that I will not ever vote for them again, because not one showed any concern for the votes of their constituents in the primary. That is how it works, vote how you want and we’ll do what we want. And the front-runner for the republican nomination to run against kerry had many of his petition signatures overturned on technicalities (SOUND FAMILIAR?). he missed by 30! So the Sec of State for MA (Dem of course)would not certify all the signatures, wonder who he’s a superdelegate for?

I lurk at Taylor Marsh’s site and saw the transition from supporting Hillary to supporting the democratic nominee.

Hanging on to integrity and principles does not seem the way to go with bloggers or the MSM this election cycle. Or has it in fact all ways been so? Have we, the people, been bamboozled since time in memorium.

Taylors’ decision is odd given the Obamabots hatred of Hillary and any and all blog sites that supported her. Taylor herself has been singled out. So Taylor supposedly wants to tow the party line by letting Obamabots spew venom, because lets face it, that’s all they know how to do. Does she really believe a)Obamabots will change, b)more traffic will be generated c)that she has that much persuasion over Hillary supporters to sway their contempt for Obama, Obamabots and their modus operandi.
