As much as I’d love to see Hillary stomp all over McCain in the general, I’ve realized that the backlash from the RBC decision would be be small beans compared to the DNC somehow giving the nomination to Hillary. Obama has won more delegates (pledged or automatic), more states, and more popular vote.

It would turn away all the new first time voters inspired by Obama, all the young voters who like the message of change, and all the minority voters who see Obama’s nomination as a huge step forward for race relations in a country with a history tainted with racism.

Fact is there is no nominee officially until the campaign in Denver in August. Obama is the presumptive nominee at this time – that is all. He did not get the popular votes. He got delegates from mainly caucuses and red states. Percentage wise delegates from caucuses were higher than delegates assigned from primaries. The DNC gave away to Obama uncommitted votes and four of her valid delegates in Michigan and l/2 votes from Florida – where Obama campaigned and had tv commercials running – by rights he should get no delegates from Florida as he broke the rules. He also refused a revote in both Florida and Michigan, knowing Hillary Clinton would win both handily.

Shades on 2000 with Gore/Bush only this time it is the undemocratic party who have shoved this through.

If Obama wins legally at the convention then it will be okay but so far it isn’t a legal ‘victory’ for him.

But, you know what? You won’t be able to vote for him in the all-important Florida Primary next February unless you are a registered Democrat, or unless you re-register as a Democrat.

See, Florida law mandates a “closed primary” for presidential primaries. Even if you’re an independent, these archaic laws will not let you vote in either major party primary.

Put another way — you have been legally disenfranchised.

That’s why “Democrat for a Day” was launched this spring by ObamaFlorida2008. Using the official forms provided by all Supervisors of Elections offices, you may re-register as a Democrat for that one day — when the primary is likely to be held — on February 5, 2008. You must do so before the end of 2007, to make sure it is done 30 days before the primary.

But this is not about some “hard sell” to recruit voters to become permanent Democrats. Not at all. After the primary, you may re-register back to the

Jonnyboy, I guess you are one of those who will never get it. Trotting out Roe, Iraq or the economy will never move people to Obama. He has gotten as far as he can go with that. Many of us know the reality of illegal abortion and it has been used a bludgeon since the Supreme Court ruling.

I know you will never understand what I am saying, but John Lennon put it so well in his song, “Woman is the N####r of the World.” Look up the lyrics. We demand to be respected and we demand respect for a woman who dares to believe she can be president.

I am sure there are others like me who have sent hundreds of emails and made dozens of phones calls in the last year trying to find someone who would understand the outrage of the media coverage and the resounding silence of the Democratic Party. Someone who would stand up and say this is not acceptable.

Wars, laws, political parties and countries have come and gone on this planet, but human beings always need to be granted dignity and respect. I have a very serene personality, but now I want to scream and I want to destroy this Party whose loyalty to my rights I have never questioned. There needs to be, not change, but a new beginning.

Get off this site. You will change no minds here because we know who you are as much as we recognize Dean, Pelosi, Barzil, et al. There is going to be a Revolution in November and you better get out of the way.

Now THIS is the type of journalistic credibility that makes us KNOW the MO tape is coming out. No Quarter wouldn’t print an untrue story that someone just told them without getting any verification whatsoever – unless they they had a very good reason.

I had heard that FDR did not win the nomination until the fourth ballot. I have also just found out that pledged delegates for a candidate can be ousted by that candidate and that Obama’s team intend to do this. Katz (Obama supporter) of the RBC of the Democratic National Committee has pledged to do this and replace them with delegates that the Obama campaign prefers!! The Clinton campaign is honoring the duly elected pledged delegates for her and will not replace any. It is the Obama “destroy thy enemy” way of doing politics that was described by Don Lemon on CNN about Obama’s previous Chicago election.

Foul language and graphic ugliness should be stricken from this blog.

I found this on another site and thought it would be a great way to help/convince Hillary to take this all the way to the convention (if she doesn’t concede tomorrow…which I doubt she will)

We could all send her a letter thanking her for all she’s done and will continue to do. We could also include our thoughts on the way the media, BO (and his supporters) and her own party have treated her.

I think it would be a great symbol of our ongoing support for her to fight this if we could each send a dollar for each of our family members or friends that support her. We could tell who each dollar is from and why.
