Thank you. I will also become a regular support of McCain. While I do not support some of the Republican agenda, I trust McCain to answer the phone at 3:a.m. more than I would trust Obama. Those who haver left the four corners of this country let alone their states have no idea of what the reality is on who should be the next president of this country. I do not want to wake up with the reality. I will fight to avoid learning that lesson. VOTE/SUPPORT/ANYTHING for McCain. NEVER Obama. Save this country.

However, your post also highlights the danger of Obama – He doesn’t KNOW who to talk to because his basic knowledge of foreign affairs is worse than lukewarm tea. Just like needing Arabic speakers to go to Afghanistan. Unless those Arabic speakers are slated to teach in fundamentalist madreasses – their language skills are useless in a country where the offical languages are Pashtun and Dari,

What’s “fundamentally insane” is this consistent refusal to acknowledge our need to negotiate with adversaries, both real or potential, which in itself is a demonstration of weakness and resolve.

That said, talking with President Ahmadinejad really does nothing to change the fundamental dynamic of our relationship with Iran, because he has no more political power in that country than does the Queen of England over hers, and certainly far less political decorum. For American domestic political considerations, the GOP has created in Ahmadinejad a classic strawman.

Therefore, your rant about the Iranian president is superfluous and irrelevant, because as always, the power in Iran rests with the mullahs. If we desire to change for the better the nature of our relationship with Iran, we have to talk directly to the mullahs.

as if “the first black president”, was a racist, as was his wife. amazing the magic they have performed (a credulous audience perhaps?)
