Obama – Lightworker [Update]

UPDATE:
We are told the author of the article mentioned is usually a San Fran humorist. He could be a real Kool-aid drinker or just a regional satirist. You’ll have to be the judge.

______________________

There is a very earnest article out of San Francisco on why Obama is “more” than the rest of us in some way. Although I could easily make fun, there is no point. However, it might go a little way to understanding what folks see in the Democratic nominee.

Or not. Your choice. Read more ->

Dismiss it all you like, but I’ve heard from far too many enormously smart, wise, spiritually attuned people who’ve been intuitively blown away by Obama’s presence – not speeches, not policies, but sheer presence – to say it’s just a clever marketing ploy, a slick gambit carefully orchestrated by hotshot campaign organizers who, once Obama gets into office, will suddenly turn from perky optimists to vile soul-sucking lobbyist whores, with Obama as their suddenly evil, cackling overlord.

Here’s where it gets gooey. Many spiritually advanced people I know (not coweringly religious, mind you, but deeply spiritual) identify Obama as a Lightworker, that rare kind of attuned being who has the ability to lead us not merely to new foreign policies or health care plans or whatnot, but who can actually help usher in a new way of being on the planet, of relating and connecting and engaging with this bizarre earthly experiment. These kinds of people actually help us evolve. They are philosophers and peacemakers of a very high order, and they speak not just to reason or emotion, but to the soul.

Obama the soul worker. OK. . . . The author does deny he believes “celestial choirs” will come down, float an aura of light and well-being as our government finally works for the good of all. That’s something. But he does believe there is something special about Obama. Or maybe he just hasn’t ever heard about Chicago politics. Or Bill Ayers and his ideas about changing the world.

But there simply is no denying that extra kick. As one reader put it to me, in a way, it’s not even about Obama, per se. There’s a vast amount of positive energy swirling about that’s been held back by the armies of BushCo darkness, and this energy has now found a conduit, a lightning rod, is now effortlessly self-organizing around Obama’s candidacy. People and emotions and ideas of high and positive vibration are automatically draw to him. It’s exactly like how Bush was a magnet for the low vibrational energies of fear and war and oppression and aggression, but, you know, completely reversed. And different. And far, far better.

Apparently, Obama is a strange attractor, pulling all the positive vibes of the universe to our collective good. And as the small butterfly flutters its wings in Indonesia, we’ll have a hurricane of peace and love in the US.

Or not.

OK, I couldn’t help it. I guess I made a little fun. Still, the dude is spot-on in his description of the dark forces surrounding the current administration. Yet, there is a small problem. If Obama is a “lightworker” then what does that make anyone who opposes him, even mildly?

  • FLVoter

    That’s just scary.

    • sarainitaly

      super scary.

a wee bit funny as well.

          It’s satire.

Are you sure about that? There is a lightworker website and a Wikipedia article.

Lightworker? Is that like a whitelighter? Maybe that writer needs to stop watching “Charmed” and get a real life.

              • roseeriter

Maybe he meant alien as from UFO- u for obama…?

The author of this Obama piece sounds a little wacky. Maybe he’s waiting for Obama to beam him up to Obama World.

  • NY still loves Hillary

    No wonder Oprah likes him!

    • speaktruth

I guess those were lightworkers, too, the thugs who pushed and intimidated women and old people, people in wheelchairs, etc. at the caucuses.
Lightworkers who hack our blogs, or who come on here and insult us in vile ways.
Or the lightworker who gave the finger to Hillary, who called her a bitch (first primary), allowed people to freeze in Rezco’s Chicago apartments in his district, who had Rezco help buy his house, who lies about lobbyists. Plus, what has he ever ever done to show he’s a lightworker.

  • Stray

Bush put the handcuffs on us. Barack Hussein Obama will through the keys away. That much power to quick to someone so untried. That much power in the hands of a rookie? Nice message of change his ultimate lie. Sounds like Hitler to me.
Obama’s record does not show enough experience, desire or commitment. With no clue how to undo the trespass of Bush.

Obama will be the Anti Christ if not by purpose then he will be by accident.

  • ulahane

Wow, they certainly have some good drugs out there!

  • jessie

Me thinking he might wanna be getting him some of that ….

Total bullshit. It is so scary on so many levels.

    Lightworker ? ROFLMAO!

How come his followers, or those on-line at least, are such a crowd of hate-filled closed minded individuals ? (I tried to be polite)

    Woooooooowooooooooo…

That explains my Bay area friends who voted for Obama…the air is different for them…woooooo wooooooooo.

    • hillarysmygirl

like how Bush was a magnet for the low vibrational energies of fear and war and oppression and aggression, but, you know, completely reversed

p.s. Before I read this, I was looking up “demagnetizing magnets” on the internet (for a purse with a too strong magnet) and I read that if you rub two magnets together, you can de-magnetize them. So if we rub Obambi and Bush together, can we demagnetize them both?

      • NY still loves Hillary

Oh my God! I thought the Obamessiah crap I read on Huffpo was freaky. These people are lunatics. They are truly incapable of thinking rationally about this man. God help us all.

    • yttik

That article was by far one of the scariest things I have ever read. God help us all, indeed.

  • sharonevolving

I am amazed at how white ‘new agey’ types are so easily duped. Obama’s charisma and oratory style is almost a direct copy of the black evangelical ministers such as T.D. Jakes, Eddie Long, Jeremiah Wright, and yes, the great Martin Luther King. To hear these men speak, crazy remarks notwithstanding, is a truly uplifting experience. One is able to have moments of transcendence, connectedness, and unity, if you fully open for the experience. Obama has taken the best of their evocative styles, put it together with rock-star cool, and used it to draw in the masses.

Bill Clinton used a similar style, and it was very evocative, especially to blacks. That’s why Walker dubbed him the first black president.

There it ends, though. Obama is no lightworker. He’s not a Holy man. He’s not the Dalai Lama, though I could see a wonderful career opening up for him in the pulpit, if he wanted to go there.

And none of this means he should be president. Carter was a good man, a noble man, and a nice man. He was a terrible president.

Evangelical oratorial style, while inspiring and motivating to the downtrodden and Sunday worshippers, does not qualify one to be the nation’s chief executive.

New Age types are going to give themselves an even worse name than they already have with silliness like this.

I could tell it was him after reading the first sentence.

Heh. The first paragraph WAS the first sentence. You really know your columnists!!

  • HankinPA

I need to get my hands on that half eaten waffle out of PA, eat it, and see the light! Maybe I could parcel it out in microns to the masses — break this Obama waffle and eat . . . . sorry, I am a rotten low vibration I guess, with a nasty side toward the one who found a weak path to victory via red state caucuses.

If Obama were all that he would have had the graciousness to wait until he was more experienced to run for President.

Who knows? I never met him, I never went to his church to get enlightened, and I never felt the vibration of his netherworld connection.

    • KJMontana

I need to get my hands on that half eaten waffle out of PA, eat it, and see the light!

Sorry, you’re too late! I read somewhere that the waitress took it home and later sold it on Ebay. It’s probably going to end up as sacred relic in his pyramid sometime in the future. All hail the holy waffle!

  • catherine

How sad when spiritually bankrupt new agey flakes have to turn to a politician to fill their void.

And these are the same morons who dare lecture the rest of us on politics, spirituality, positive campaigns.

God help us. The last time a political leader and “movement” was followed with religious fervor we ended up with concentration camps and a second world war!

He’s a magnet for narcissist and weak minded fools.

  • D in SF not a SF D

Mark Morford’s columns belong on the funny pages. It is hard to take anything he writes seriously. His columns are pure editorial fluff, suitable only by electric kool-aid drinkers.

  • yttik

Oh my freakin goodness! I have sent Mark Morford a letter instructing him to set down the hopium pipe and open a damn window.

Listen folks, the only type of people who have this kind of charisma are cult leaders who plan to pass out cyanide koolaid. And a handful of serial killers who charmed their victims to death. This kind of charisma is always and I mean always, a very bad thing.

    • Five Thirty

especially when there is no there there.

    • Karma

Don’t forget Jim Jones was a preacher in San Francisco dazzling politicians and media alike in his time.

The SF press gushed over him, the parishioners, and his community outreach programs in his church, constantly.

      Ugh!

Recently, I’ve wondered if some of Jim Jones speeches have been plagiarized by the Obama staff…or have similiar themes.

They seem to lift intellectual property from everyone who had an impact on the masses, and Jim Jones qualifies.

      • karen for Clinton

That is where the Kool-Aid reference comes from.

Not sure if everybody understands the history of our little obamatrance messiah blind follower kool-aid jim jones reference.

Once the news started saying it was “creepy” there was an instant backing off by the obama camp of the messiah crap and he toned down his Gospel tour. But it is all documented on the very scary sites dealing with that.

He was the one that made it religious on purpose.

He is a sick puppy and his followers are idiots.

        That said…

12/21/12 is one month after the next election…

        • Karma

I agree about making it religious on purpose.

And that is why he sat in that church too, besides the black cred it gave him. He needed to learn how to speak to the religious right and steal them away in the elections too.

Your date reminded me of this article on Obama and the Olympics. He claims he’ll see that date in his second term….ewww.

          http://cbs2chicago.com/olympics2016/olympic.finalist.rally.2.741900.html

“Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama dropped in on the Chicago 2016 Olympics rally on Friday and declared he is confident that he will be winding up his second term in the White House when Chicago hosts the 2016 Summer Olympic Games.

Such bravado about his own future is not typical of Obama, even in private. And, in the highly scripted world of modern politics, today’s last-minute appearance was unusual. Obama had told CBS 2 Political Editor Mike Flannery on Thursday night that he had intended to ”chill out” at home for a few days.

“It’s a good time to be in Chicago,” Barack Obama said to the cheering crowd. “The White Sox are winning. The Cubs are winning. And Chicago’s going to win the 2016 Olympics.”

“In 2016, I’ll be wrapping up my second term as president, so I can’t think of a better way than to be marching into Washington Park alongside Mayor Daley, alongside Rahm Emanuel, alongside Dick Durbin, alongside Valerie Jarrett as President of the United States, and annoucing to the world, ‘Let the games begin!’”

The remark was a contrast to Obama’s usual style of rhetoric, which tends to be charismatic, yet understated and not prone to brash predictions. But since it became clear he was going to be the Democratic presidential nominee, a shift has been detected in his demeanor.”

  • http://radamisto.blogspot.com Steve J.

Or Bill Ayers and his ideas about changing the world.

    This is irrelevant.

    • karen for Clinton

“guilty as hell and free as a bird.”

There is a new article in Time mag about Ayers saying he isn’t such a bad guy afterall… I call UTTER BULL and I’ve felt that way for decades.

Tell that to the people he maimed and the families of the people he killed.

The obama apologist says it’s alright and blames obama’s rivals! “Rivals are wrong to make an issue of Obama’s links to former members of the Weather Underground — even if they are despicable.”

That must mean Hillary is an Uber Lightwalker (since she actually attracted MORE people to her candidacy)!!

I wonder how all the race baiting, sexism, lying, and hyocrisy from the Obama campaign is filtered through all those “good vibrations.”

  • ken

By the way, San Francisco is a divided city. The asians and hispanics are not pro-Obama. I think Obama will be using any Clinton “endorsement” he can get to woo these voters. The Obama camp seems to already have a site on Broadway Street right in the heart of Chinatown ready to be used as a “proganda” office. It has a large Obama poster up for a couple of months now. I hope McCain knows these voters are up for grab.

    • The Real Hope

San Francisco politics are a strange mixture. Gays have numbers and political power and the Asians also have the numbers but a bigger part of the real estate pie. Although Gays have done tremendous work improving the beauty of the City. I’ve always wondered who would rule out in the long run. All-in-all it does work somehow in a way that it wouldn’t anywhere else in this country. I don’t think the Hispanics have the same sway in the City though. I could be wrong though.

      • ken

For the most part, everyone tolerates each other. If some asians are not exactly pro-gay, they aren’t virilently anti-gay either. And if some whites don’t like asians, they are not vocally anti-asian either. Hispanics don’t have the same sway because the hispanics like the AA’s living in the city have lower incomes. Obama will try to woo the lower income folks first by registering them to vote and getting them excited at the prospect of a “black president” Then he will woo the asians with money politics, and the gays and whites with liberal talking points. All the baits are set, it just a matter of whether people will bite.

Anybody this this jerk’s posts? This is how he is bragging to dailyidiots about his way to win us over:

I’ve posted this on several pro-Hillary websites:
    by brdc4
Fri Jun 06, 2008 at 05:53:53 PM PDT
I’ve posted the following message on several websites and blogs supporting Hillary Clinton, because it will do a lot more good there than it will on this site.

We need to start winning over Clinton supporters. You all should write similar posts on websites where Clinton supporters have been talking about voting for McCain or staying home. Don’t be agressive, try to see their side of the story, and remind them that McCain is against everything Clinton stands for.

    brdc4′s diary :: ::
How many of you are really considering voting for McCain? I know the campaign’s been long, divisive, and bitter, but do you really think John McCain’s positions on the issues match yours?

Yes I know that some of you feel that the will of the people was “ignored.” You have a valid argument But you have to understand that we on the Obama side also had a valid argument. For example, I feel that the caucus states should be counted in the popular vote with the same passion that you all have when you say they don’t reflect the will of the people. I know some of you think that Florida and Michigan should have been fully counted. Again, please realize that while this is a valid argument, the Obama argument is also valid (our argument is that since people were told their votes wouldn’t count, there are surely people who stayed home and didn’t vote and that the election was therefore flawed). Regardless of whether you agree w/ that argument, please at least try to see the thought process behind it. What I’m trying to say is to tone back the “Obama stole the election” rhetoric. I know that it’s hard to have your candidate lose such a close race, especially when there was an honest and intense debate over rules–the result of which would determine the winner.

Trust me when I say that if Clinton had won the nomination, it would be a hard pill for me (an Obama supporter) to swallow, but I wouldn’t have hesitated to vote for her in November, regardless of my personal opinions of the campaign tactics she used. This election should be about the issues.

McCain is against everything that Senator Clinton stands for. Do you want to end the war in Iraq? Do you want to prevent a war with Iran? Do you want universal health care? Do you want solutions to global warming and environmental problems? Do you want to see some actual diplomacy in our foreign relations? Do you want our veterans to have the best benefits possible? Because McCain won’t do any of this. And while a revenge vote for McCain might feel good when you cast your ballot, I can promise you it won’t feel good during the next 4 years.

By now it sounds cliche, but we need party unity. We can’t win in November without Clinton supporters. I humbly ask for an Obama vote from you in November.

I AM THINKING I HAVE SEEN THIS POST BEFORE – IF YOU HAVE PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT HIS SCREEN NAME IS

    THANKS.

Why can’t you guys just be happy to kick the republicans out of office?
He is a democrat and will of other democrats working with him in the white house. If you guys are really that uncomfortable with him hopefully his vp pick will left settle your concerns.

    • noproblama

Yeah, he better pick a VP that knows what the hell he/she’s doing. Then they can send Mr. Light Worker out on the unending campaign trail to keep him out of the White House, just like they did with W.

Come on, this guy sucks the big one. I’d much rather have McCain with all his flaws. At least he’ll really be running the country.

    • jim aaron

I wouldn’t vote for Obama even with Hillary on the ticket, but I’m still waiting for Tony Rezko to turn RAT. Rezko is broke, owes $450,000 to Vegas and they are pressing criminal charges, and he still has another corruption trial. He is sitting in jail right now, I think he was afraid to go out on the street for fear of being killed and opted for protection in jail.

    • Peter

Did you not notice that the govt is made up of repubs and DEMS? Who do you think let Bush get away with everything? A Dem congress with a weak President would be a disaster. You need a strong Dem President or a Repub to balance things out. If a Dem congress can’t stand up to McCain, they should be voted out of office, but I expect their constituents just sit back and whine…. ‘can’t you just be happy’ sniff, sniff.

Most of the people on this site wouldn’t, but I would vote for a joint ticket. Wouldn’t vote for Obama without Clinton, ever.

  • GamzulaGriffin

The thing you have to understand about these people is that they honestly believe the things Ostinka(that’s what I call him sometimes) is saying.

If they could just spen a few minutes on this board they would see that the world is not all happy and shiny and “hopeful”

    HOPE my ass!!!(excuse my french)

Maybe if they heard a little story about a friend of mine named red dragon they wouldn’t feel so hopeful.

Red dragon was hosting a dinner party. He asked OBARFO if he could turn up the heat or something and OJERKA went totally off on him. He was cursing and and flinging feces and tried to stab Red Dragon with a cocktail fork.

He did not say anything directly racist, but you could see in his eyes that he was thinking very very racist thoughts. Anyway the story has a hapy ending and red dragon escaped uninjured and he would up here with our family of people who are full of hate and rage.

If the Obamabots could just visit here for a day, maybe we could convince them. that is why I proposed a restaraunt. For a while I got some good feedback on the idea but It seems like people have lost interest.

Come on people is anybody still interested in a We Hate Obama Theme restaraunt?

I won’t pursue this any further if nobody wants to do it with me.

    Whatever!

I hate OBAMA so MUCH!!!!! I could spend all day talking about how much I hate him and everyone who thinks different from us. they are all jerks! Totally

    • Uppity

Truly Larry, I do wish you would get rid of this A Hole.

      • ulahane

      • Right On

Why guys? I think you have to be charitable here. Obviously all his ideas were not “right on” some had very interesting seeds of truth. I think the theme restaurant idea is quite practical and worth considering.

My main point though: It’s important that we all stay in solidarity and not start eating our own! It’s also important that we not become the elitists we so despise. Just because one of us has over-zealous ideas, his heart is clearly in the right place with his steadfast commitment toward Obama hatred.

        • pumaeagle

          Thank you Right ON.

I might not be as witty or informed as everyone else on this board. But shouldn’t my vote count?

I eagerly await “South Park’s” treatment of Hope-A-Dope. If you recall the episode wherein they lampooned Prius drivers, there was a side slam where they characterized SFBay denizens as being prone to sniffing their own flatulence.

Meanwhile, the souls of Jim Jones and the Bhagwhan are laughing their (spiritual) asses off.

Meanwhile, thinking of wearing sandals, a diaper and wire-rimmed glasses and changing my name to, “Baba Rum Raisin.”

Obama is a light worker, yes.
Is that a reason to make him President?

Something ain’t right about that “light.” Do light workers run a campaign that smears a good woman as a serial liar, as they did Hillary Clinton?

    Umm, no.

When I told my father I was going to a college near San Francisco, he told me the place was filled with fruits and nuts. That was in the early 70s. Now the place is filled with people who can identify light workers. (I actually met one last summer._

I wonder how someone with all that light around him has only brought divisiveness to the Democratic Party, and America? I hope that article was a joke, but I am afraid it wasn’t. Light weight as far as knowledge of issues. Maybe that’s what the guy meant.

    • yttik

It’s not satire. I’ve read Mark Morford for a long time.

For many years, because of radical right wing religion, I’ve had to pray, “Dear Lord protect me from your followers.” After Rev Wright, Father Pfleger, and now the lightbeings, I guess I’ll have to keep saying the same prayer. So much for change.

  • Mary Kay

Ummm… More than scary. Call in the psychiatrist from the other post, please.

Seriously, I feel really bad for people like this. They are looking for something, and very often either have really low self esteem and are looking for a “mentor” to “guide” them or save them from themselves, and/or they are so very angry and they project their anger on America.

You know, we have LOTS of problems in this country, but I still wake up each and every day feeling blessed that I was born here. My great grandfather had to escape captivity in a Russian work camp to get here. My family wasn’t always treated with respect because my grandfathers couldn’t read or write English, but they never let that get in way of what they thought this country stands for.

Okay… I’m going to be bed now. Loooong day!

I really, really wish Mark Morford was simply offering satire, but sadly I think he really means it.

Humorist, you can feed San Fransisco type kooks with that tripe.

You can also feed Hollywood types with that crap, as well as the Farrakhans (never mind the real Jesus wouldn’t take bribes, or leave the poor to freeze, or take money from Nadhmi Auchi, terrorist supporters, or Tony Rezko).

wow is about all I can say about that article…but, of course, I’m not an Obomba supporter, but instead reside in the darker, less enlightened realms of the Universe since I can’t see the spiritual charisma that he supposedly radiates. I sure hope in his meeting with Hillary she didn’t succumb to his heavenly charisma and drink of the kool-aid…guess we’ll find out tomorrow when she bows out of the race to make way for the “highly spiritually evolved light weight.”

  • http://www.ceccoda@yahoo.com breeze

Well, it’s not just this article.

It’s all over the NEW AGE-type of blogs, they ar
interconnected. They also include ETs etc.

    SAMPLE:

    8. Attention is being given around the globe to the United States presidential candidates. Despite the rigged primary elections to favor Hillary Clinton and John McCain’s supporters waffling because he himself waffles, soon it will be glaringly apparent that Barack Obama’s greater popularity among voters will be sustained. Thus free will choices of the majority have been made and now, without influencing those choices one whit, we can reveal that in the energy field of potential, Obama’s momentum always was unstoppable, and we can tell you that this highly evolved soul with many lifetimes as a wise and just leader came from a spiritually and intellectually advanced civilization specifically to rise to his current prominence. At soul level he knows this is his mission, but consciously he is aware only of his innate leadership abilities and genuine intent to serve his nation as he so states; in time he will become consciously aware of his origin and purpose for embodying in this lifetime. Once he is in office, some darkly-intentioned persons expect to control him just as they and others before them have controlled a succession of US presidents and many members of Congress. However, that vicious kind of governing is at an end, and contrary to the protestations of Hillary Clinton that this race is not over, she and other top Illuminati know they are witnessing the demise of their “secret government”; therefore, the Obama family members are among the most intensely light-protected persons on Earth.

    9. While that election is of undeniable importance, foment leading to benevolent changes in other countries’ governments is of paramount significance too. The myriad reforms underway span the globe—WORLD transformation is what is occurring—and in time, every leader in every nation will be a lighted soul. The darkness that has deluged Earth and deluded her peoples from before your recorded history is behind the wars whose victors created national boundaries to enrich themselves. “One World Government” has a dreadful connotation, and rightly so because it is associated with the Illuminati’s plan to rule everyone on the planet that this cabal deems worthy of life, those who will serve their purposes, and eliminate all others. Not only has that plan been battered into oblivion with only maddened minds still clinging to a broken concept, but we assure you, you will greet with elation your world when borders and citizenship pale by comparison with the peaceful and harmonious cooperation agreed upon by all peoples everywhere.

    10. Congratulations are in order, and we joyously extend them to all whose minds and hearts are focusing on spiritual renewal and no longer dwelling on mundane matters. Yet we see as well that too many lightworkers still lapse into fear with each dire prediction or outright claim about various situations. Also many feel that as Earth keeps ascending into higher frequencies, they will be left behind because they haven’t discovered their “mission” in this unique time in the universe, or they greatly desire to communicate telepathically and this still eludes them. So I believe it will be helpful if I address these issues again.

    11. Surely all who are familiar with my messages or the books know the dark power of fear, so I won’t repeat that, but if you wish a reminder, there is a great deal of material that you can easily locate [use the search feature or the book/message index)

  • mystic4hill

Hey, I live in San Francisco, and yes, I am involved in metaphysics (I hate the term “new-age”), and I can say without reservation:

BARACK OBAMA IS ABOUT AS FAR FROM BEING A LIGHTWORKER AS I AM FROM EVER VOTING FOR HIM IN NOVEMBER (which is no fucking way ever in this lifetime).

There is nothing “high vibrational” about him. Lightworkers don’t hang with the likes of Daley, Rezko, Ayers, Wright, et al. Lightworkers don’t engage in, and condone, sexism and misogyny. Lightworkers don’t use intimidation against those who don’t agree with them. Lightworkers don’t steal (as in votes) and don’t take what belongs to someone else (as in delegates).

I could go on and on, but you get the idea, yes?

There are, however, those in the “spiritual” community who have bought into the pretty words (I happen to actually know a few). When I ask them what specifically about him they are drawn to, all they can say is, “it’s visceral”. Well, that’s great if you’re looking for a lover, but for the President?

    It’s downright scary.

  • Karma

    In terms of the update….

He teaches yoga in SF so this is his frame of reference and I think his last line summed up it was a serious article.

  • http://www.writehillaryin.com jacquiet.

OK that’s it. The bottom of the pit of American insanity has surfaced at last.
I have been a spiritual teacher and guide. as well as a personal development trainer and therapist for thirty years. I have conducted workshops around the country, including in San Francisco.

With disillusionment in religion growing in recent decades, growing numbers of people have sought out alternative approaches to spirituality v. religion. This, of course, can be a good thing. However, like organized religion it can become highly distorted. Novice soul searchers and dilettantes can be easily confused and misled. Even those sincere in emphasis on spiritual (over material) tend to be uninformed about the state of the world, and avoid the actuality around them.

As a “Light Worker” who has dedicated my life to the field of “inner development” I have a commitment to Unity in Human Brotherhood and am repulsed by war, hate, etc. At the same time, I maintain awareness of the state of our world. The truest and highest levels of Light relate to self-responsibility and a commitment to the greater good.

Obama demonstrates neither of these characteristics at all. Whatsoever. He is the least ‘transcendent’ of leaders to approach the world stage in our era. If any take interest in this subject, a genuinely enlightened man, David Hawkins, has formulated a system for the recognition of different wave lengths of consciousness. His book “Power vs. Force” explains that humanity, at this point, is a collective of beings at very different levels of spiritual evolution.

Lightworkers generate power which is inclusive and uplifting, a “high vibrational energy field”. This is what the author, above, is addressing. However, he goes completely off the deep end of either naivete or deception, in the conclusions he draws. Hillary Clinton carries a very high vibration, ie, she has mental mastery and a genuine love for humanity. That is her power of attraction.

The attractor field of obama is of a very low, unevolved vibration. That is why he is affiliated with dark, negative, hateful associates and endorsements. Like attracts like. Contrary to the false, misleading description of him above, obama has the charsima that is force-ful, no matter how well he cloaks it – he literally feeds off the energy of those around him, akin to a spiritual vampire. He degrades the energy around him because he sucks it all in to falsely empower himself. Hillary does the opposite. You can read Hawkins chapter of “Political Power” where he compares the 2 types and quickly get the real picture – which obviously this author has not.

There have been various astute categorizations of his followers which correspond to this- fear, intimidation, manipulation can temporarily attract ‘like others”. This is how obama initially succeeded in attracting young people – who feel lost and get emotionally, not spiritually at all, excited by his visionary language. They’d like to believe someone will come along to save us from ourselves. Just as his AA & radicals would like to use hate and resentment to get a free ride and project their rage. obama knows this and he uses it.

Islamic terrorists have the lowest vibration on the planet currently. They believe in control, killing, destruction and violence. obama is aligned with them, whether the American people see that or not. obama uses people to accrue personal power, an unevolved viewpoint, but one that can successfully “feed itself” on the fears and egos of others. This is why his supporters act as they do- vile obscenities, snide hollow arguments and all. They are very unevolved and literally use less brain capacity. One notch up only is the TV hypnotized mainstream of America. MSM is one notch up from that, having a bit of intelligence but still dreadfully misusing it – to manipulate for their own ends.

People don’t need to ‘know” all this to sense it, like we do here with the trolls. Like we see in the force-driven corrupt DNC leadership. It is why we look around and say this all looks insane. Because it is.

There is nothing more insane than to equate obama with a “Lightworker.” He is the opposite – he is a Master of Denial and a mass scale energy manipulator. He is a false Messiah figure and, if you want to really look deeply, you will find that his name is very similar to that given by Nostradomus as the anti-Christ. People don’t want to see this because they are very afraid.

I know this comment was very long. But having him called the opposite of what he is was just too much.

    • Karma

Thanks for your informative explanation. My take on the article was that he was making fun of the O supporters who think he’s a Lightworker. I can see it in the O supporters I know and they’re exactly as you’ve described them, either lost and hoping that someone will SAVE them or unevolved and part of the TV hypnotized masses.

I also loved your description of Hillary. If Lightworkers indeed “generate power which is inclusive and uplifting,” I think Hillary Clinton would fall into that category. You described my admiration for her to a T: “she has mental mastery and a genuine love for humanity.”

Thank you again for sharing your knowledge with us.

    • roseeriter

I agree with you. I have a good receptor when it comes to good or bad energy- I think most people do when it comes to one on one. And I haven’t felt anything positive in Obama and especially not with his campaigners.

I’ve even tried to put all the negativity on the ‘republicans for Obama and operation chaos people’ and make no mistake they are still trying to destroy the democratic party, but what has happened is the DNC did that on there own by having ‘selected Obama for money and black voters’ and the American Idol mentality dumbed down populace were the perfect followers.

So those of us who truly believe and know that Hillary is the right person for this presidency at this point in time, have disrupted the process. Bully tactics are evil period. We got bullied to death by Bush, the patriot act, the war e, now with the economy etc., etc., and now we get bullied from our left.

Again people who have to bully are sheep herders, plain and simple. Don’t succumb to it people.

Light worker? Barack Obama is a light worker!? Good gosh. This guy besides having a nothing resume, bad associations and is a crook himself!

Does he have charisma? Evidently so…but it does not work for me. I find myself suspicious, incredulous, and my gut tells me….He’s a LIAR.

    • DeniseB

Doesn’t work for me either. From Day 1 I’ve been mystified by what people see in this guy.

  • rosaleen

I’ve read a lot of Mark Morford and he’s often very funny. I don’t think this is satire. I think a lot of people who have been looking to B.O. to save them from having HRC as a POTUS, need some reason to support him because he has no experience and no known plans beyond riding the hopey changey train to the WH. So they cling to pseudo-spirituality and hope “he is the one.”

Some people are silly enough to want to believe that charisma is some kind of spiritual gift. I’d bet most charismatics are criminals like Ted Bundy and Hitler. History is littered with those murdered at the behest of this, that, or the other charismatic.

I would have thought Morford smart enough to know that whatever kind of human being he thinks a “lightworker” is, a lightworker would probably not be found standing at a podium giving the finger to a US Senator in the most childish manner possinble in order to avoid taking responsibility for it.

Or I don’t know what kind of new world he thinks this lightworker is going to usher in. Creepy.

    • Right On

Yes, he was so childish and irresponsible. And I saw him rubbing his nose at a speech. Clearly he had just been snorting cocaine (or a pure form of heroin). I’m totally serious, gang. THIS WILL COME OUT. Mark my words.

A very good example of this is the handsome, charming serial killer Ted Bundy. I would bet you that his female victims would have sworn up and down that he was never capable of doing what he did.”

  • deerestfriend

I am NOT making a comparison of the two men, I am just making an observation. I am 43 years old and a history buff, specifically of WWII. All my life I wondered how intelligent people could be sucked in by Hitlers rhetoric. I always thought it was propaganda spewed by the Propagandaministerium or the lack of sophisticated media and communication between citizens of the time. Now, today, I believe that it is possible that one mans looks, race, and oratory skills make it possible for him to rise the the most powerful office in the world, even in todays society. The media, who’s constitutional status was written to protect us, has been sucked in as well. That is the most disturbing aspect of all.

    • Right On

Yes, Deerestfriend, an astute observation. I’ve often thought the Hitler comparison was probably the best way to describe BHO. It’s just such a shame to see a nice guy like him fall for that old I-wanna-take-over-the-world crap. So sad.

  • luvtruth

I usually love Mark Morford but this time he has shown his true colors. Just HOW do Mordord’s supposedly “spiritual”, “new age” friends reconcile the hate, lies, mysogeny and nomination theft of the DNC and Obama? Spiritual my ass! How stupid do you think we are? Thank you, LisaB for exposing this disgusting hypocrite and all his little “new age” frauds.

  • Kinky Ogremann

I know you guys think it’s “satire” but after being to San Francisco – they truly believe this crap. Obama is the holy prophet (of course they will use euphemisms like “lightworker” instead to hide their obvious stupidity). He can do no wrong – and if you dare suggest it – they will BEAT you into believing.

I’ve never seen the country fall under such a hypnotic spell and exhibit such strong cult-like behavior before in my life! It is very scary and really helps you to understand how radical regimes can take over an unsuspecting public.

Now that their experiment worked – I think they understand how the formula can be duplicated. Sadly (but thank goodness!), Obama will not be elected in large part due to our suspicions of people who do not look like us and who have possible terrorist connections. But in the future – they will understand that all they would have to do is duplicate the Obama movement using a White, working-class family, background “boy-next-door” image who is a good speaker – and they will succeed.

Please, everyone, heed Dr. King’s words – and please judge people based on ACTIONS and behaviors, deeds and accomplishments. Look beyond the words! and truly analyze them – the people they surround themselves with – how they choose to run a campaign – how they treat others! Usually – people cannot always hide who they really are or what they really want. The Neo-cons were obvious and so too is the Obama-cons. America and the upholding of the Constitution for everyone should always come first!

    • Northwest rain

It is a relief that more people are seeing the cult aspect of Obama.

One of the things you will see in cult members is that they will believe anything their messiah says — and he can talk pure garbage — but they will repeat the garbage like it is from GOD.

Cult members can be made to do anything for their messiah — even kill themselves or others.

Some people seem to be immune — and that would be the strongly anti Obama folks we see here.

We see cult behavior from the trolls — they want us to believe in their messiah — because if EVERYONE believes then the world will be perfect — everyone will live in total harmony — the cult members really believe this.

Of course the cult is dominated by an authoritarian power hungry psychopath.

With Obama — he has these advisers who plan to rule their little piece of the empire. Everyone has a good game going — sucker the population — promise them anything.

Obama has been marketed — like a washing machine or a car or dish soap.

Obama is as phony as they come — he’s a con man. He figured out how to use the color of his skin to dupe the suckers. The biggest suckers of all have been the African Americans — Obama — a poor boy, raised by a single mom. He has a story for everyone.

The Obamabots keep coming — trying to convert the non-believers. The can go to HELL. (I sure hope there is a hell– because I’ve been telling a whole lot of idiots to go to hell lately.)

    • cultmember72

I believe the most recent hypnotic spell ocurred just after 9/11 when we invaded, bombed, stole, raped, occupied, tortued and killed for our leader–and he wasn’t even charismatic.

Why is following in the name of hope such a bad thing?

Jesus, Buddha, Mohammed and others also had a following. Maybe sometimes leaders are worth following. We will soon see.

  • Pieter B

I’m familiar with Morford’s work, and I thought that this piece just might be satire, so I clicked on a link at the side to his column on Obama from a week ago. Truly, this is beyond satire:

But with Obama, as with just about everything about his campaign, something feels different, more historic, deeper and more profound and even a bit more, how do you say, intimate. It is not politics as usual. It is not just another smart, deeply intelligent upstart senator making a surprising play for The Show. You have to take note. Because Obama has accomplished his astonishing rise without the normal weaponry of American politics. As of yet, there have been almost no dirty tricks. He has not really attacked Hillary, has not “gone negative” or run a nasty smear campaign or swiftboated her; he has not employed, in short, any of the disgusting tactics Karl Rove’s Republican party notoriously used against Al Gore and John Kerry so as to lie themselves into a brutal and failed chokehold of power.

Don’t Bogart that stuff, Mark, pass some this way. I can’t buy shit that strong in my ‘hood.

  • Briar

Strange how all this “vast amount of positive energy” ultimately expressed itself in a torrent of misogynistic abuse, and a total refusal to see the misgyny or the abusiveness. Self deception of this sort is, sadly, all too common, and argues that these “philosophers and peacemakers of a very high order” are just the usual pillars of the patriarchy, conning themselves hysterically into another male-dominated cult.

  • hootnannie

It sounds to me like the Frisco author is trying to say Obama is a messiah figure without saying that he is a Messiah. In other words, he’s “spiritual” instead of “religious”. I have a friend who’s atheistic, but claims to be spiritual–but he doesn’t believe in either gods or spirits. Then I’ve read blogs from Obama supporters who claim he thinks in a different way from regular politicians or just regular citizens, that he somehow transcends the ordinary person. I’ve never seen evidence presented to support such claims, though. I read where Oprah said he’s “highly evolved”, meaning spiritually of course. I understand that some people have tremendous charisma. Bill Clinton assuredly does, and I think Mike Huckabee does. I would vote, however, on what I think of their platforms, not on how likeable each guy is. I don’t understand the swoon over Obama, though. He’s very arrogant and self-assured to the point of hubris. I, like millions of others, think the adoration of his followers is cult-like, and people, especially youth, who fall for this are often those without a firm basis in a religious faith.

Clearly his followers are in the throes of emotionalism. There is just one problem with that. The hangover is horrible.

So this confirms it, Obama is the second coming of Christ.

When people don’t believe in God… they come to believe in anything!

In my opinion this writer is absolutely correct. Obama IS an extraordinary lightworker. Before January I had no idea who he was and probably would have voted for Senator Clinton in the election.

I started paying attention to the debates and eagerly watching primary results. Back in January on a Tuesday night while I sat in front of the TV my spirit guide said, “He is the one.” My spirit guide never speaks negatively and is NEVER wrong.

No, Obama is not the second coming of Christ, but he IS a special soul. Some knew this immediately. Some are learning it now. Some will never know and/or don’t care. Ignorance and apathy on your part does not make Senator Obama any less special.

You don’t have to love, like, or even vote for him, but don’t knock those that do. Have a blessed day!

I feel so sorry for all those people speaking against love because they are in the dark … the meek shall inherit the earth, and those who can not see the light, shall perish in hell as evil doers along with the greedy.

What? I think this is entirely correct and not satirical at all.

Given the number of days he’s skipped at his current job as senator, and the number of “present” votes he racked up working in Chicago; the “honorary” titled jobs he’s had…

Obama really is a light worker. He doesn’t put forth a lot of effort at all into anything he’s hired or elected to…

Oh, “Lightworker” … well that’s different. I don’t see that at all.
