Can you explain how Obama cheated? Michigan and Florida moved their primaries in violation of the DNC Rules. Clinton supporters on the RBC handed down the death penalty in hopes that it would force them to move their primaries back into compliance. They didn’t.

Florida the votes were counted and delegates awarded based on the primary. Each delegate gets a half vote (likely to be a full vote since Obama is over 2210 now).

Michigan the primary was not counted since Obama wasn’t on the ballot and it was impossible to determine the will of the people. The RBC made the delegate allocation based on the delegate selection plan submitted by Michigan.

This wasn’t Clinton’s fault or Obama’s fault. The blame lays squarely with the Michigan and Florida Democratic Parties.

May I suggest you contact whomever gave you that IQ test and get your money back?

Where to begin. First, these were party events and thus not subject to the one person, one vote standard. Second, every candidate was subject to the same rules. Less than fifty percent of voters in the Democratic primaries and caucuses voted for Senator Clinton (I believe the figure is 48%). Not sure if that’s love, but certainly constitutes almost a majority of the participants.

I am a Hillary supporter who will be voting for John MCCain. There are many Democrats out there like me. I know the DNC tells us that we will “get over it” and we will “come back home” or “fall in line” but I can honestly say that I will not be coming home, I have found a temporary home for the moment with the RNC and John McCain until the home that was destroyed by Barack Obama, Howard Dean, Donna Brazile, Jim Clyburn and other DNC members can be rebuilt in 2012 when the “comeback kids” Bill and Hillary take the DNC back and restores it to greatness.
I want to share with you how divided the Democratic party truly is. My father, who is 67 years old, has been a loyal Democrat his entire life in a “red state” He is one of those guys the local politicians come see when they are seeking election and want to turn out the vote in our area. We have picked people up and took them to the polls every election year there has been since I was alive. When he told me he was switching parties and voting for McCain, i knew something was happening I knew that I, along with my ENTIRE family of Democrats was disheartened by the DNC’s actions this election and was truly angry at Mr. Obama’s use of “race” as a weapon and through surrogates and biased media outlets, turned William Jefferson Clinton into a “racist” in the eyes of many foolish Democrats. It’s no shock that Obama gets younger voters. They don’t remember how great the 90′s were and only know of Bill Clinton as the ” wife cheater” They don’t remember gas prices being around a dollar a gallon. They don’t remember all of the jobs that have been lost in the past 8 years. It’s easy to fool someone when you see on the networks that the Clinton’s are power hungry, greedy liars who will do and say anything to get elected. The same media that toated Tony Morrison’s claim of President Clinton being “The First Black President” only to come back 9 years later to accuse him of somehow being a racist. They never tell you that he appointed more people of color to his administration than ALL of the Presidents before him COMBINED. No we get sound bites of Bill standing up for his wife and being called “out of control” or “he is losing it” when clearly he was just making his wifes side of the argument. Chris Matthews and MSNBC invented new ways to bash the Clinton’s, mind reading. If Chris wanted to assign something terrible to them all he would have to say is “I think she is” and insert whatever you want to put on them. Over and over we would hear things like that along with “There were so HIDDEN MEANINGS” in that” or “I think the Clinton’s were using CODE WORDS” Mind reading. Huh. I guess it’s a cleaver way of saying the old “some people say” that FOX News made famous in 04. This much is clear, the media hated the Clinton’s because they wanted to push the Obama storyline because it was new and more historic to them. “The First Woman President? Ahhhhh, who cares?” That was never even close to as “The First African American” to them. Also, since Obama could read a teleprompter well, they threw in a bunch of “JFK” comparisons and wa la, instant ratings boost. Then the Reverend Wright came along and made it clear to all of us citizens, Obama can slap you momma and kick your dog but as long as he gives the media a speech on “Slapping Momma and Kicking Dogs” he could get a pass from the media. I know you’ve head this before but just imagine Hillary Clinton having a pastor, spiritual adviser, member of the campaign, married her and post Hamas articles in the church news letter and hangs out with Louis Farrakhan. Do you think the media would have even let her give a speech, which by the way never actually answered any of the questions anyone had about the Obama Wright relationship (don’t get me started on Rezko) At every turn the DNC stood up for Obama and called out anyone who attacked him. Fairly or unfairly. Did anyone see them do that for Senator Clinton? I know I didn’t until Dean said something the week before the last primary but Obama done had it wrapped. The DNC, who argued for 7 years that the 2000 election with Gore and Bush was “stolen” and Gore had won the popular vote, allowed the same thing to happen to one of there own. With every poll showing Hillary Clinton to be the strongest candidate for the fall, it all came down to either being “racial appeasers” and giving it to Obama because they were scared to lose the African American vote or they just wanted Obama because they are fools.
I could keep going here but I’m tired of fighting these same ol fights but from now own, I’ll just take out my anger by sending McCain a check. Let the Democrats see all of those names from Hillary’s donor list now on McCains

True, but woefully incomplete. You leave out the strange spectacle of the DNC’s Rules and Bylaws Committee meeting, where the Obama supporters voted in lockstep, while the Clinton supporters fragmented — some went with what they felt was pragmatic, and some went with their hearts. (I’d say the eight who voted against the so-called “MI Compromise” went with their hearts.)

Florida’s situation was not the fault of the Democrats in FL. They had a big problem with voting machines and paper trails, something I’m sure you’re aware of from the 2000 election. The move-up date for the FL primary was part of that bill, and they tried to amend it — but the Republican Legislature did not go along with them.

In all actuality, Keith, Florida should’ve been granted the “Safe Harbor” provision, as they did everything in their power to move up that primary into compliance. (They also were only six days early.)

Michigan’s situation has to do with a long-running dispute between MI and the DNC as a whole. The MI Dems want the “stranglehold” of Iowa and New Hampshire to end. The fact that New Hampshire was supposed to go third — and the DNC did nothing about it — and that Iowa was supposed to go second, and the DNC once again did nothing about it — obviously didn’t help with good feelings about the whole MI primary experience.

Barack OBama’s name was originally on that ballot, as I’m guessing you know full well. He took it off voluntarily; a rookie politician’s mistake. In my opinion, he should not be rewarded for that mistake; I believe he should’ve had to compete (at least in a pro forma matter) for the Uncommitted delegates. I realize he’d have gotten them all anyway. He’s the only one left standing, besides Mrs. Clinton (up until the past few days).

Where I draw the line is when the Obama shills started talking about “honoring votes” from people who did vote as well as those who did not. That’s Orwellian doublespeak in action.

And I really got angry when four of Mrs. Clinton’s delegates were “given” to Obama. I don’t care that the MI delegation ostensibly came up with this deeply flawed plan themselves — it’s still wrong, it does not reflect the will of the voters as they cast their ballots in January — and by doing this, the DNC has basically told the voters of MI that they didn’t really know how to vote, so the “adults” had to come and step in.

Keith, if you don’t find this offensive, there’s something wrong with you. Because every vote is supposed to count in this country.

Whether half-delegate votes are allowed or not, the arbitrary reallocation of delegates never should’ve been allowed.

Finally, you must not have any conception of how condescending the Obama shills on that DNC Rules Committee were to the supporters and voters of Mrs. Clinton. Here they are, asking for the mythical “party unity,” and they can’t even be gracious or even polite.

At this point, it’s not about Mrs. Clinton any longer — though I respect her greatly and still want her as my candidate, that’s not why I’m upset. No, I’m upset because I believe the voters of FL and MI were highly disrespected — most especially MI due to the arrogance of the DNC.

Btw, Donna Brazile told we Clinton supporters that we weren’t wanted — several times, in fact — on CNN. The “New Democratic Coalition” would be more than enough to nominate and elect Barack Obama. Our nearly 18 million votes don’t count, y’see — it’s like they never even happened — just like the poor souls of FL and MI.

Well, since I’m no longer wanted, I’ve officially left the Democratic Party after 24 years and I’m now an Independent. I do not approve of the DNC, the mainstream media (heavily biased in Obama’s favor for the past eleven months, minimum), or much of Obama’s campaign strategy. And the meeting on May 31 was the absolute last straw.

You can ignore me, and what I say, if you wish. But you can’t ignore the facts; nearly 18 million people voted for Mrs. Clinton, and the other things I’ve pointed out are true.

As I won’t support the DNC, guess what? The candidate it’s pushed all this time, I’m not about to support, either.

One final thought: had it been Obama in Mrs. Clinton’s position, even though he wasn’t the candidate I favored, I’d have agreed with him — all votes must count. I wouldn’t care if that’s an expedient position to take or not; we’re a democracy.

Yes, I spent several months earlier in the year pointing this out to Obama supporters. What I got in response was vitriol aimed at baby boomers, playback of all the vicious slander the right wing invented about the Clintons, accusations of racism, and wildly divergent answers to my genuine confusion as to exactly what his candidacy is about, other than vacuous slogans.

He may have thrown around the word “unity” a lot, but his whole campaign strategy was in fact one of disunity, of exploiting generational divisions and class divisions. Donna Brazile came right out & told us they had a new coalition & didn’t need us, although obviously we were expected to come back after he knocked out Clinton, having no place else to go.

The accusations of racism against the Clintons were laughable – all of them. Totally despicable. His machinations, with DNC help, to take out MI & FL were a brilliant maneuver, equal to the worst Republican thug; he would not have won if he’d competed there and he manipulated things so he wouldn’t have to. In fact he behaved enough like GWB in 2000 to make me ill.

Michigan the primary was not counted since Obama wasn’t on the ballot and it was impossible to determine the will of the people. The RBC made the delegate allocation based on the delegate selection plan submitted by Michigan.

I also want to remind some of you Senators and District Representatives, you will be up for re-election in a few years or maybe less, but I can assure you the voters WILL NOT FORGET. Payback is going to be a b*tch.
