Great post, once again. Just spent time reading the letters to Washington Post editor on these clowns’ blog. Incredible! Unbelievable! Absolutely heart-warming! Why do I say this? Because 42 out of 50 posts were in favour of Secretary Clinton’s integrity not being slandered by these 2 monkey-journalists.

How life-affirming and gender-affirming to have *most* responders protect the right of this outstanding public servant who happens to be a woman to be reported on without slander or hatred.
But still, racism gets you a pink slip, but sexism a slap on the wrist.

All Women OWE A DEBT TO HILLARY on this sudden reversal of our equality fortunes. It started with Milbank and Cilizza’s post. It was ACKNOWLEDGED to be SEXIST and they got reprimanded.
In all honesty, do you think this could have happened BEFORE Hillary appeared on the national scene as presidential candidate and exposed all this misogynist crap that goes on daily? No way.

We owe Hillary big time. A pioneer, as always. And she doesn’t even have to try. Her example–or should say CRUCIFIXION by the media misogynist fratboys–during the Infamous Campaign was the catalyst that will make some real changes in women’s lives.

How about anti-woman-hatred “hate speech” legislation? Now’s the time to push. Brian Vallee’s book ‘War on Women’ states more women are killed in “domestic” disputes and hate crimes than any other group, including soldiers in Vietnam and all police officers in last 5 years! The stats are staggering.

I am disheartened, too. When the meme abt Americans is that we are good hearted people, it is so difficult to see the sore winners; the siding with bullies; the acceptance, even encouragement of, sexism/misogyny; and pitting one group against another, as you so aptly said.

BUT – there are those of us who do NOT condone that behavior, and if we continue to stand together, at some point, I have to believe that WE can make change happen – REAL change, not the empty rhetoric spewed by Obama (and Axelrove). Dare I say it – yes we can!

It is all sport to the msm; we need to stop agreeing to being spectators and create an alternative that circumvents any form of participating in generating ratings or jobs or future soapboxes for these irresponsible ego-oids on two legs.

I cannot understand how we got here – as it all a smokescreen that attitudes abt women were changing, and these attitudes were just being glossed over for the past 20 yrs? I mean, there was sexism, to be sure, but not this overt hostility toward women that we are seeing by MS “journalists.”

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again, this past election made it open season on women. And women need to stand up TOGETHER, along with the real men who are not threatened by women, to put a stop to this crap. IMHO, that is…

Roseanne Barr has kinda gone off the deep end now, but she was also a FIERCE advocate for GLBT rights. She has at least one sibling who is, um, “family.”

I’ve been watching Roseanne re-runs and there was a great one on last night “That’s Our Rosey”. It was a spoof on 50s sitcoms and how women were portrayed as second class citizens (morons). I guess some things just don’t change.
