This is the latest in the expressions submitted by our many readers. This is by our great videographer, Flineo, and I’ve put up a couple of his most compelling videos at the top and at the end of his essay || View all of Flineo’s videos. – SusanUnPC
I was far from a political junkie prior to this election.
Then Hillary made me active.
Then you all gave me a way to get involved.
Many things had transpired in the past year, culminating to the event last night.
I just want to share a quote by Ayn Rand, although I don’t subscribe to all of her philosophy.
“The evil of the world is made possible by nothing but the sanction you give it.”
All the misogyny, the abuse, the manipulation, the fraud throughout this election took place (and will continue to) because we – collectively as a society and individually as each citizen “allowed” it.
Rand’s philosophy came from her life experience under the Soviet Union. I, too, speak from first-hand experience having survived a totalitarian govermment. Perhaps I see a few things more clearly than those who haven’t experienced it. What Rand said above is very true.
The Democratic party’s content of character is no longer of a party “for the people” nor “of principles”. Its name no longer represents its content. The content of BO candidacy isn’t about hope and change, but more about the sound of those words, and the manipulation of despair and division. We – collectively and individually – sanctioned him.
Take care,
Flineo
THIS is the video that breaks my heart every time I watch it:
