The Incoherent, Unqualified Candidate Cannot Complete a Sentence [Update]
By SusanUnPC on June 8, 2008 at 9:15 PM in Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Obamaisms, Obamedia
What is going on with Obama? We know that extemporaneous speaking is not his forte — especially with all those hmmmms and ahhhhhhhhs as well as the slowness with which he has to speak in order to piece together a thought. We know that he only “performs” well when he has a teleprompter to read from. We know he’s said there are 57 to 58 states in the U.S.A. and that 10,000 people died in a storm (only 10 actually died), and that he makes gaffes regularly, so much so that we’ve dubbed them “Obamaism” (like Bushisms). But as you’ll see here, he can’t utter a coherent declarative sentence. UPDATE: This is from an event in Virginia on June 5, 2008:
Here’s another astonishing example:
Never once, no matter how exhausted or stressed she was — or how little sleep she’d had — did Hillary Clinton ever display such troubling inability to speak coherently. Furthermore, had Hillary spoken like that, the media coverage would be nearly non-stop! But Barack “The One” goes untouched …
We’ve all analyzed the number of Obamaisms — the gaffes he makes regularly. I’ve sensed that part of it is that, besides the lack of sleep, he is stressed far more than Hillary because he has to pretend — every minute of every day — to be someone he is not. He is doing an “act.” He’s an actor on a stage. He is playing a role. He is not himself.
We could ask any professional actor how he or she would feel if they had to remain “in character” for 18 hours each day, and I’d expect they’d tell us that they’d reach a breaking point, when they couldn’t concentrate any longer and that they’d flub their lines.
Check out these earlier No Quarter stories for more Obama “gaffes” — which is too light a term to explain what we saw in the above videos:
