More Audacious Audacity From Congressman Chickenshit

The members of Congresss chafing over getting grilled by constituents continues to grow and their arrogance is breathtaking to behold. Check out this little morsel.

So here we have a real doctor, who voted for Obama, getting the shaft from his elected representative. This shit is getting out of control.

Several Democratic members of Congress are turning out to be real cowards. Rather than allow their angry constituents to vent and encourage a genuine discussion of the complicated issues surround the health care debate, they cut and run. A stupid strategy that voters will not forget. They will remember and these guys will be held accountable come election day.

  • jwrjr

How could he be a reaal doctor? He is just an astroturfing Nazi Republican representative of the Insurance companies – Pelousy told us so. (/sarcasm)

  • Ferd Berfle

That Congressman should be drummed out of office immediately.

  • Katmoon

Wow, what an out of control representative of the people; can his a$$!

  • Ferd Berfle

Congressman Chickenshit. Appropriate moniker for a two-faced coward.

  • susan

At all of our town meetings, I wish we could also push the issue of TERM LIMITS for ALL politicians! I am sick to death of them all. They are all corporatists who want power and money, money, and more money. If we don’t stop them with term limits, they will continue to gain power. Greed is their main objective, power the second. At least with term limits, we can decrease the length of time that corrupt pols are able to rip off the taxpayers. Wall Street, pols, big banks…all corrupt, and town meetings are a way to let them know we are not going to stand for it any longer. It’s time to take this country back!!!

  • ridin’ dirty

    Down with RomneyCare!

  • Annie

I agree with Susan 110%. Get these people out of there. They think that they are doing us a favor. I cannot believe that noone in that group would stand up to this man. What a mess this country has gotten itself in. We can’t even speak up for ourselves when we do we are called all kinds of names. The politicians are not used to the people speaking up to them they want us to be seen but not heard so I say get all these bastards out of office.

  • Ferd Berfle

I concur with term limits: Two and through.

  • HC123

The indignant anger coming from these Congresspeople is amazing. How DARE you little people bother us! Just do what we say. We are the bosses of you.

Politicians need a serious wake up call from the voters. Maybe this sort of video can help make it happen.

  • Pre

    LOL!

  • olivia1998

Until you read Saul Alinsky. Alinsky wrote the cult classic Rules for Radicals. You’ll never understand what is happening to our country.

  • oldmediatype

Don’t ya just love it? Pointing his finger at the people who put him in office.
The arrogance of the Washington crowd is just breathtaking. Rep. Dingell was just as smug but not stupid enough to yell as his constituents at another townhall the other day. It’s more proof that Washington has the most self-important people per capita than any other place on the planet. Lived there 30 years. Love our country’s institutions. Hate how power corrupts so many who go to serve the people but wind up serving themselves.

  • HC123

The assumption that the doctor is not from his district is really classic. Racist even? Who knows, I can no longer tell.

I will say this, the media DID ITS JOB in this report.

  • Diana L. C.

I would like just one national journalist read the 1,000 bill, interview the people pushing it for explanations and try to explain it to us. It just seems so ridiculous that we are supposed to trust them when they can’t really explain what it will mean for us in its entirely.

  • Katmoon

About Health Reform,” Democrats Rally Their Own Activists to Visit Members of Congress at Town Halls, District Offices
    August 09, 2009 3:51 PM

    http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2009/08/painting-protestors-as-partisan-mobs-with-lies-about-health-reform-democrats-rally-their-own-town-hall-activists.html

Supporters of President Obama formerly signed up as members of “Obama for America” received an email today from Mitch Stewart, the director of the group’s current incarnation, Organizing for America, to show up at town halls and congressional offices as a counter to the protestors against the president’s health care reform push.

But Brian Walsh of the National Republican Senatorial Committee said, “It’s interesting to see the President’s political machine calling on his supporters to use their Constitutional right to free speech when the White House spent the last week criticizing others for doing the exact same thing. Republicans agree that every American should have the right to voice their opinion in a calm, respectful manner but after the ‘astroturfing’ rhetoric from the Democrats this week, it’s hard to ignore the hypocrisy in this mass email.”

  • http://helpmejoseph.typepad.com/puma_for_life/ Puma for Life

He can’t be a real American; according to the Drudge Report Pelosi and Hoyer have an op ed in Monday’s USA Today saying he and the protestors are Unamerican. In the meantime, my blue dog Dem Congressman, HEATH SHULER, is refusing to have a town hall and is only having a tele conference where you can listen to him talk and then ask a question through one of his aids who will decide whether it is worth asking. We are working on possibily having our own Town Hall meeting; we have a local talk show host who is willing to be moderator and working on organizing something. He probably will have to rent the civic center to fit in all of the people.

  • Katmoon

You know PUMA, you have something there; think about what it would do if a en masse protest of television took place, just for one day, and people tuned into the radio forums on health care, interesting, very good idea that talk show host has.

  • Country First

And, let’s add no more lifetime pensions!

  • Ferd Berfle

Organizing for more handouts, I’ll bet. Who will they go to when the middle class is penniless? That One? LMAO. He doesn’t care about the people who support him. The morons who actually bought/buy his crap possess only marginally enough gray matter to just continue life-sustaining breaths.

  • oowawa

    How about one and done.

  • Ferd Berfle

Racist-yes. The obots, et al., jump to erroneous conclusions every time they open their machine-driven mouths.

  • oldmediatype

I’ve read a few parts of the bill. Like a lot of other bills I’ve read, parts of it are so dense, you just throw your hands up in despair. What we really need are live hearings where a joint congressional committee and witnesses go through the whole damn thing line by line. What does this sentence mean? What does that paragraph mean. Get testimony on the record — a legislative history as to the intent of Congress — on every key point. Post a daily transcript on the Internet every day. I don’t care if it takes an hour of hearings per page, everyone has a right to know what the proposals are, what they mean, how they would affect the citizenry. By the way, a thousand hours of hearings — at 12 hours per day — would last 83 days — less than three months. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to ask for thoughtful consideration before tinkering with roughly 15% of the economy.

  • Arabella Trefoil

Let all the Democrats know that you will VOTE THEM OUT, even if it means voting for a Republican.

If they think you’ll stay home, make sure they know you won’t.

Run new candidates as Democrats to challenge the incumbents in primaries.

Let’s put some muscle behind this.

The Democratic legislators think they have a God-given right to office, and we need to let them know that Obama ain’t God!

Send them packing! Make them sweat!

  • Ferd Berfle

    Even better!

  • Ferd Berfle

That’s a winner, too. They want pensions, then they can get a real job and contribute to a 401K and Social Security like the rest of us. If they don’t like it, they know where the door is.

  • Ferd Berfle

I’m thinking about voting against every incumbent, irrespective of party. It won’t make a difference but I’ll feel better knowing I didn’t contribute any further to this unconscionable mess.

  • oowawa

Pelosi and Hoyer have an op ed in Monday’s USA Today saying he and the protestors are Unamerican

Oh boy! Time to resurrect the House Un-American Activities Committee! Let’s make them astroturfing Town-Hallers and those Tea-Party folk answer a few questions!

  • I’m a Linda too

OMG, this loser has balls. .. uh, this loser called an Elected Representative. HA! How dare he use Obamanizing tactics at is constituents and lie on top of that. “Get in their face…argue with them” “Punch back twice as hard”- Obama.

The Democrats conduct ranging from a host of people I used to respect…Boxer, Harkin, Leahy (lost last year) this idiot, Castor in Florida-talk about weasling out, Udall-man did he change and FAST, and the list is growing so fast and furious.

And the Dem’s are solicitig Mobs to fill their seats with pro Dem and Obama supporters. Many of them don’t even know what is inn the health care legislation…and then they accuse Republicans of it. And, they keep forgetting that ever growing constiuency, Independents.

They so deserve to lose their seats for these tactics alone.

  • Obamastolemycountry

Well, calling on Obama supporters for help with the attack can only last so long. There soon won’t be too many Obama supporters around. The only ones I knew have come into reality now. See, Obama’s problem is that people won’t listen to what he is spewing so much as what he does. It’s all about action now, MR. POTUS.

    I’m just beyond disgusted.

Treating me and all the other tea party protesters as right wing nut jobs that hate this country, when most people I saw at the event were just normal people that care greatly about the future of this country.

    The backlash will be severe..
I’m glad to be on the RIGHT side of this coming revolution.

When my daughter was old enough to vote for the first time we were talking and I told her ” you leave them in for four years only. That gives them 1 year to make contacts , 2 years to steal and 1 year to cover it up. That cuts the stealing in half.” When she went to register she explained what her mother told her to the people who were registering voters. She asked” which party was Reagan?” The republican lady got very excited and told her ” he is republican.” My daughter then said” I better register democratic or my mother would kill me.” She was all of 18 at the time. That is still a family joke.

I read a lot, and my partner has a job explaining things to the retards we send to congress (he works for a federal agency).

We have tried to read this bill and it is simply unreadable. If they pass this thing we are done. Its insanity.

This bill should be used as a poster child for bureaucratic abuse of the English language.

  • http://www.DailyPUMA.com Alessandro Machi

If you do this, make a life size cardboard photo cutout of your congressperson and stand them at an additional podium. Ask your participants to write out their questions, make a copy during the meeting, take one copy of every question, put it in a 9 by 12 envelope, and stick it to the lapel of the cut-out of the politician.

Then deliver the cut out of the politician to the front door of his office, with the envelope of questions still attached.

  • Ferd Berfle

This bill should be used as a poster child for bureaucratic abuse of the English language.

The misuse and abuse of the English language has been one of my pet peeves for years. The Republicans were good at it with phrases such as “revenue enhancements” in lieu of the correct and much more appropriate term, “tax”. But That One and company, who create fissures in the language every time they open their android mouths are the very worst offenders. They should be asked to define each word that comes out of their two faces.

  • helenk

How about signs asking ” where will you be working in 2011? a quiet reminder of put them in office and just how expendable they are.

Or voice overs of Heidi Klum and baseball umpires saying ” your out”

Sadly I never thought that I would live long enough to see the Democratic party become everything that Americans for generations fought against.

A two-term limit on the Presidency hasn’t prevented a succession of corporate stooges from occupying the office and looting the country for the special interests.

I doubt if a similar limit on Congress would be any more effective.

  • hokma

    “Two and through”

Probably more reasonable and also a great slogan.

  • Ferd Berfle

It couldn’t hurt, though. I’m all for trying something to get the attention of these boobs.

  • hokma

Many of these Democrats are proving that they are not representative of the people and only care about their loyalty to their political party.

In addition, they are ignorant of the issues and the facts concerning healthcare which makes Obama’s rush to change extremely dangerous.

  • oowawa

Good idea. Perhaps every question could be addressed to the cardboard cutout, then a moderator could ask “Congressman?” and hold a microphone up to the cutout’s lips for an answer. Then when no response is forthcoming, the question could be inserted into the envelope you suggest. This could make for a very telling video, I would think.

  • http://helpmejoseph.typepad.com/puma_for_life/ Puma for Life

Yes, if we can have a live town hall and simultaneously broadcast it, it will reach everyone in the district, which is quite large (covers 15 counties). I love the idea of the cardboard cutout!!! I will definitely suggest it. Also, I would like to invite everyone across the country to do the same thing; hold your own town hall meetings and I wonder if we can elect a new congressperson. Is there a recall procedure for that? Or do we have to wait for him to resign or not run again?

Troglyte political activists, known as Disrupters, forced the Stratos government in 2269 to recognize these hazardous working conditions and provide appropriate safety equipment. Sad and again the entire debate and process is out of control. Both republican and democrat alike can share the blame. The republicans for allowing the right wing to spread lies and the democrats for suffering from a very bad case of cranial rectal inversion, for not using their heads and rising to the occasion. Of course the American public is also responsible. People rather than do research and use fact rather play games and politics. The losers here? The 20 million Americans who really cannot afford health care.

So between two stupid political parties and a percentage of half-witted Americans, those who caanot afford healt care will continue to suffer….

So Bo and his supporters can’t take a little real democracy….That shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone. During the election repeatedly they demonstrated an inability to engage in discourse and dialogue. These are people who live on the surface of things and whose response to disagreement is projection of their own sneakiness and manipulation. No one has to organize a movement of people who know some arithmetic….Most grown ups who got through high school math know the money isn’t there to pay for such an expensive program as BO is proposing. They also know that credit card bills have to be paid eventually or you lose your house and financial security. It doesn’t surprise me that BO doesn’t get this, because we don’t even know if he ever took a math class and we know he never ran anything before he got tot the White House….This isn’t the movie version of life the Democrats voted for with a celebrity playing the role of president; this is the real thing–something they don’t know anything about.

Senior Citizens Left Off Government’s Swine-Flu Vaccination Priority List
    Friday, July 31, 2009
    By Susan Jones, Senior Editor
Before the bill is even passed, we are seeing this plan’s philosophy working already. On the news (the) night before last, they told who would be given the swine flu shot and in what sequence of priority. Pregnant women, children and young adults through 24, then 24 to 64 years of age. No mention was made at all about those over 64.

To encourage the manufacture and dispensing of the H1N1 vaccine, the government is granting “liability protection” for vaccine manufacturers and administrators.

HHS notes that on June 15, Secretary Kathleen Sebelius signed a declaration to extend liability immunity against tort claims (except for willful misconduct) to individuals and entities involved in all stages of 2009 H1N1 influenza vaccine development, testing, manufacture, distribution, prescribing, administration, and use.

Here is what the cdc found; yes less cases in the elderley: more than likely due to the less exposure to others factor-yet the highest rates of fatality after exposure.

    Summary of key epidemiologic findings
    •Distribution of cases/hospitalizations/deaths
–Highest incidence of lab confirmed infections in school age children
–Highest hospitalization rates among 0-4 year olds
–Hospitalization rates for Apr-Jul 2009 similar to annual cumulative hospital rates for seasonal influenza among school age children and 18-49 year old adults

–Fewest cases but highest case-fatality ratio in older adults

The bots and Chief bot are certainly naive if they think the public is just going to sit idly by while the country is dragged down the road to perdition.

  • HC123

These kinds of shady one off deals feed the conspiracy theorists, and I can see why

Why would you not give flu vaccines to seniors, one of the groups that receives the most benefit from them?

Why enact this situational tort reform?

How is it within the power of the government to suspend our currently accepted legal processes in this manner? If tort reform is so helpful, why not bring it up for general debate? It would certainly be more productive than waving around a 1018 page unreadable bill.

And why the panic mongering over H1N1, a flu that thus far has been pretty run of the mill?

This administrations Machivellian back door deals exceed George Bush 2. And thats saying quite a lot.

Vote these people out of office, pronto. Just pick a random guy who hasn’t held office before and vote for him/her. The less connected the better, the less mainstream the better. We need fresh blood and more fighting between congresspeople. It slows them down in removing cash from our pockets to pay for their crappy new laws.

I get what you are saying, and hopfully it is understood, I am not a conspiracy theorist; however I will say this started an interest and the more I dig, the more I find-that is spun by the media. Particularly when I see it is the CDC, actually telling the truth.

  • QueenofHearts

    Here’s my conspiracy theory:

The military is posting jobs on LinkedIn for Internment/Relocation Specialists. O wants that citizen force as big as the military, too. I think swine flu will be used as the trigger to round people up and ‘quarantine’ them for the good of the nation. I will bet you dollars to donuts most of those rounded up, just like most of the GM dealerships forced to close, will be people who contributed to candidates other then Obiteme. It will be a great way to crush people’s livelihoods (and thus, their lives) and punish his political enemies. Hell, what a great way to disappear people, while you make sure the ‘crisis’ doesn’t go to waste!

The swine flu is nothing. Don’t take the vaccine. Last time, it was far more harmful than the flu. Plus, you do not know what these bozos are doing with this vaccine. You may find a big spike in the swine flu ‘pandemic’ once these vaccines get going, with perhaps a more virulent form appearing to justify it all.

I think they wanted the Health Care bill in place for when these vaccines start being given next month. If they are in the midst of manipulating people with the ginned up swine flu terrorizing that I expect to see in the next 60 days, it would be more difficult to get people to swallow such massive changes (not for the better) to their health care. Much easier if it already had been passed in August, right?

So, how’s that for a conspiracy theory?

  • Chicago Joe

Drive a bus over there on election day and say you reside there. That’a what Barky’s folks did to steal the election in Ohio.

  • oldmediatype

America has been hijacked. Are we going to sit in our seats or become just like the ordinary citizens — the mob of patriots — who rushed the cockpit on Flight 93? “Let’s roll!”

  • Katmoon

    Actually, you sound

  • Katmoon

Ahh oops, it posted before I was ready!

You sound sensible to me, and saying what I was trying to get across a bit clearer than my attempt:

I think they wanted the Health Care bill in place for when these vaccines start being given next month. If they are in the midst of manipulating people with the ginned up swine flu terrorizing that I expect to see in the next 60 days, it would be more difficult to get people to swallow such massive changes (not for the better) to their health care. Much easier if it already had been passed in August, right?

Or using it as a means of showing how much O care will help, why look what we have here to save people.

  • Katmoon

    Sane

  • Chicago Joe

Democracy in action. Seems like Pelosi and the boys ascribe to Hitler’s notion that the masses are stupid. Well, we are not. Take a look at the USA Today op-ed written by Pelosi and Hoyer to see the real American take on their experiment with health care.

The “un-American” people are pummeling them.

  • Docelder

The vaccine is proposed to be targeted to children and those of child bearing age. I don’t recall the elderly not being a priority for flu vaccines. I can see the young children, but why those of child bearing age? I am torn between seeing this as just an acknowledgment that we no longer value the elderly or their contributions… and seeing this as some theoretical way to introduce some potential and permanent preexisting condition to all those folks who get this vaccine necessitating lifetime public option insurance. I no longer consider myself a conspiracy theory sympathizer. Nothing should be considered off the table at this point.

  • Ferd Berfle

I’m reminded of a statement (don’t remember the source) that went something like, “just because you’re paranoid does not mean someone isn’t out to get you”. If the research shows that the elderly should be vaccinated, then why the decision to not so do? What is the agenda?

  • oow

I sure don’t like it when powerful politicians start using the word “Un-American,” particularly when it’s the Speaker of the House. I’m old enough to remember the House Un-American Activities Committee and the McCarthy hearings. It really raises a red flag of warning.

  • Docelder

    Un-American

I can’t think of anything more “American” than coming to one of these town halls to give your opinion and be heard… especially so if it is an opposing opinion.

  • Thinker

    lol.

It kills me how Barry acts as if Reagan was the best President we ever had, totally ignoring Bill’s accomplishments.

I was a kid during the 80′s, but I asked my mother about that time and she said the economy wasn’t that great.

It wasn’t until Clinton was in office before she was able to get a good job and have enough money to send me to a Catholic school, etc.

People are rewriting history. I hate how we have all of these highways, airports, libraries named after Reagan.

  • Thinker

That wouldn’t surprise me either Katmoon.

  • Surfered

“Thou dost protest too much, methinks.”

I’ve served three terms as a City Councilman and currently serve as a Director of our local water & sewer district, all elected, non-paying positions.

While no one should oppose the right of the people to petition their government for a redress of grievances, for it to work, it must be orderly.

To avoid meetings lasting all night, speakers are required to sign up (they are not required to use their real names) and the time is allocated amongs all who wish to speak.

In this manner, everyone has a right to be heard, but not to infringe on the rights of the others in attendance. It is our way of governing ourselves, but maybe we are unique in that our local government candidates are without public party affiliation.

  • Ferd Berfle

Yeah, right. You elected officials serve at our pleasure and not the other way around. Try a little honesty, don’t equivocate and lie to us, and you’ll be amazed at the response you get. Until that happens, expect an earful from those of us who pay your salary. By the way: it isn’t up to you to dictate how we, the public feel about you, the public servants. We put you there and we can send you packing.

    Sign me:

    A taxpayer.

  • Thinker

    I agree.

    Seems plausible enough to me.

    Crazy like a fox, lol

  • Tricia Spiegel

Cowards AND bullies. The email I am getting is so pushy. Move-on is the most obnoxious. I keep writing back (I get email almost every day asking me to go and fight those crazy right wingnust) and try to explain that there are progressive Democrats–I am one of them–who have read the bill and find it lacking in a great many ways.

Never a response… The emails just keep coming.

Father of Handicapped Son Received Threats After Confrontation With Rep. Dingell

I have a post in the queue on this. Despicable.

  • tzada

Move on is George Soros, as is Snopes and Fact Check. Soros son does/did sit on the board of UTube. The Annenburg Foundation is the board Ayers and Obama both sat on.

Quite a few of the foundations and programs and spokespeople on PBS have ties to Chicago.

  • tzada

Sorry sometimes I start at the bottom and read up.

  • tzada

My thoughts ran along the same lines as yours. Anyone remember reading about Operation Paper clip? Why bring them to this country? Why is the current administration bringing/allowing people from countries who hate us in?

I think the war on America has been going on for a long while. The jackels in Washington, just think they have created the perfect storm for the final curtain.

We may go down, but I hope I am around long enough to see them herded into the prisons of their own making, by the person/persons behind the curtain. And it will happen. The Czars are siezing control.

  • Docelder

I am thinking this way… suppose the vaccine has a latent side effect that as an example 10% of everybody who takes it will develop a debilitating and chronic iatrogenic illness sometime within their lifetime? Anybody who has taken the shot will be excluded from insurance coverage for this side effect as a pre-existing condition. Since we don’t know who that will be, everybody in this young and child bearing age group will have to have the public insurance from now on, else have a chance of a non covered and very expensive side effect ruining them financially.

    Guess who beat up Gladney?

Bill Hennessey of the St. Louis Tea Party Coalition reports per Steve Gilbert of Sweetness & Light that the man who beat up Mr Gladney is an SEIU official who is a candidate for Mayor:

Tea Party researchers have discovered some interesting news on one of the
people arrested for beating Ken Gladney.

Elston K. McCowan is a former organizer – now the

Public Service Director of SEIU Local 2000 – and board member of the Walbridge Community Education Center, and is a Baptist minister, has been a community organizer for more than 23 years, and now, he is running for Mayor of the City of St. Louis under the Green Party.

McCowan accused the Mayor of setting fire to his van . . . because that’s
what big city mayors do in their spare time, I guess. He also called [St
Louis Mayor Francis] Slay a racist. And, on election night, McCowan thanked the family who voted for him. It was quite touching, actually.
