Obama’s Ambassadors of “Love”

Check out the love that the Obama campaign is showing to Florida. I guess this is what we have to look forward to if Obama becomes President. SWEET!!

The following is an email exchange between Florida DNC member Jon Ausman and Barack Obama’s Florida finance chairman Kirk Wagar. This appeared in the Orlando Sentinel (original here).

Let’s start with the note from Florida’s Jon Ausman to Barack’s money guy:

Dear Mr. Wagar:

This evening I received an email from you (which is provided in its entirety below) in which you are surprised and hurt that some of the notes I received from you are painful.  I have never told a single person you have mistreated me.

When I filed the appeals before the Democratic National Committee Rules and Bylaws Committee I was trying to begin the healing process so Florida Democrats could unite and more forward together.

However, Kirk, as the Obama Florida Finance Chair you represent the campaign.  When you make disparging about others to me, issue threats or insult me directly some might call that mistreatment.

As an ambassador for Senator Obama I would hope you would be more temperate, more inclusionary, more embracing of others, more unifying.

We are at a point in time when we need to heal and come together.  Help me understand how these messages, which you have sent to me in writing, help Senator Obama’s campaign.  I only am sending you some of the more recent messages you have sent me.

You (Jon Ausman) (expetive) us. We are dealing with it. You need to accept the fact that you (expletive) us.  Kirk Wagar, 6 June 2008, 4:40 PM

The process is just beginning and we are trying to amass credentials so   no one gets (expletive)….People (already selected as delegates) who simply want a   free trip to Denver are not my concern.  Kirk Wager, 6 June 2008 at 7:17 PM

Let me be as clear as a bell, as of right now you (Jon Ausman) have   made a difficult situation worse. We have been put in a bad situation by   Leonard (Joseph) and (Senator) Nelson and you have just thrown your lot in   with them.  Kirk Wager, 6 June 2008 at 8:14 AM

If 30 people (after we purge them) are all that are (expletive) off…we have   done pretty well.  Kirk Wager, 6 June 2008 at 7:17 PM

…you (Jon Ausman) really convinced yourself that you are doing anything   other than fighting for political backroom deals?  Kirk Wagar, 12 June 2008, 7:27 PM

That would suck. Tell him   (AFSCME International President Gerald McEntee) we will remember.  Kirk Wager, 3 June 2008, 9:45 AM

I am getting very sick of (Senator) Nelson making a bad situation   worse.  Kirk Wager, 1 May 2008, 4:33 PM

So you are comfortable with the 4 people, for example, that Dianne   (Glasser) negotiated on (Bret) Berlin’s slate that have done nothing for   Barack and no one in Broward knows?  Come on!!!  Kirk Wager, 6 June 2008, 8:14 AM

It would be my suggestion the Obama Florida Finance Chair publicly apologize to Senator Bill Nelson, AFSCME International President Gerald McEntee, Florida Democratic Party First Vice-Chair Diane Glasser and Florida Democratic Party Executive Director Leonard Joseph. Rather then criticizing others in a most negative way it might be more helpful for Senator Obama if you praise those who can make a contribution to the effort to defeat Bush’s candidate to carry on his failed policies.  Praise, oddly enough, often encourages people to work harder. If you have any questions, please either call me at … or write me at …
With respect, I am,
Jon M. Ausman, Member

And here is what Barack’s Florida Finance Chair wrote regarding Mr. Ausman

Subject: Jon Ausman’s email

Friends and fellow Democrats I don’t know if you have received Florida DNC member Jon Ausman’s email about me yet but I assume you will.  He has chosen to subject folks to out of context snippets from some ongoing and sometimes heated arguments we have had over the course of this campaign.  I apologize for the profanity that you were subjected too.  it is a vice of mine that I try to minimize but seems to rear it’s head with more frequency when I deal with Jon.

I have been told over the years that I should ignore Jon and never engage with him, even when I agree with him, because in the end, it is all about Jon.  That seems to be the case.  I will not go chapter and verse through the substance of his email but I will provide my context for anything that I think might be misconstrued. Number 1, when I was referring to making a difficult situation worse, I was specifically talking about the fact that we asked that at the very least, the PLEO and AT Large Delegates not be selected until after the DNC Rules and By Laws Committee ruled.

I asked both Leonard Joseph and Senator Nelson’s office to support waiting and they made a decision to go forward for tactical reasons.  I disagreed with it but they were perfectly entitled to make that decision and I don’t fault them for it.  I don’t think it is debatable that it made the delegate situation harder to deal with after the fact given that the Obama campaign did not participate in the elections, but it is not like anyone died.  It was and is simply a situation that has to be dealt with.

Both Leonard and Senator Nelson’s office know that I wanted a different outcome and I did not malign them in private nor in the excerpts Jon blasted out.  I have worked with Leonard for years, long before he came to Florida, and I have worked very hard for and with Senator Nelson.  On this issue we disagreed and despite Jon’s effort to twist it into something more, it isn’t.

Number 2, I fundamentally believe that the Obama campaign should be able to send the delegates that most deserve it to the convention and because that the campaign did not participate in the process and strike anyone, people who knew the system were able to get a slate passed of people that were important to them and their local politics.  There is nothing untoward about those individuals putting forth a slate in the absence of the Obama campaign participating.  I do not think it is appropriate that that slate stands unchallenged now that the DNC RBC has ruled on Jon’s appeal, but that is MY opinion, not of the campaign.  I have great respect for both Dianne Glasser and Bret Berlin and consider Bret a good friend.  I would have done exactly what they did.  My point has always been that I personally don’t think that it should be binding on a campaign that did not participate and now that there is an opportunity to at least try to fix the situation, we should.

Number 3, I have no idea what he is talking about with regards to Gerry McEntee because I would have never in a million years thought he would be having conversations with Jon Ausman.   For the past 2 weeks, I have poured over the lists of Obama delegates, tried to find every avenue to have everyone who should be a delegate either be one or get similar credentials, talked to numerous party leaders to try to find a way to make sure everyone or almost everyone would end this final process of the primary pleased and united.  At every turn Jon Ausman demanded his pound of flesh.

The mistake I made, in addition to language that I am extremely embarrassed about circulating to good Democrats around the state, was trying to rationally discuss alternatives with Jon.  This was about Jon’s ego and his view that control over party rules was his only power. I am sorry you were brought into this.  I am sorry that I used unprofessional language with Jon, despite it being a two way street in the back and forth, but most importantly, I am sorry that we cannot do anything in a simple and succinct manner so we can win this state in November for Barack Obama. I have no idea who Jon sent this to so if someone forwards you something with a “What the heck is this” email, please feel free to forward my response.
Kirk Wagar

So Ausman is the “irrational” one here? The bullying tactics of the Obama team are being felt across the United States and Hillary supporters are not backing down. That is not a recipe for victory in the fall and, unless quelled, could hurt other democrats.

That’s why I try to keep my Obama angst nice and mellow at the slow burn stage. I’m not going let that con artist be the death of me. It’s always the Obamazoids who yell and scream at me while I shrug my shoulders and smile when I tell them it’s either Hillary or McCain.

                • wry

I agree with you Sugar, and let me tell you something. That “slow burn” you speak of has energized me.

Yes, I was telling my Obamazoid best friend just now that I haven’t watched MSNBC in months and as badly as I feel for Russert’s family, he had in fact gone off the path of a fair journalist. That’s just the fact. Since I stopped watching all of that ridiculous coverage, I don’t get quite as heated as I used to about this election season where coverage is concerned. It’s sad that Fox News is actually the only cable network giving fair and balanced coverage but that’s where I turn to if I want to hear the latest and the truth. Certainly, they’ll get nastier and nastier as the weeks go on but because I’m not a BHO fan, it won’t even matter to me.

                    • Zimeeisme

I agree with you about Fox. It is all that I watch anymore. I can hardly stand to watch or read MSNBC. It was my channel of choice during the 2000 election.

My uncle just returned to the states after a 20+ yr. assignment in Africa. He spent the last two years of that assignment in Nairobi, Kenya. We had dinner the other night. He has been back for a few weeks. I asked him SPECIFICALLY about Odinga. He confirmed my fears. Odinga AND Obama are dangerous men. We were at a family birthday/graduation party so it wasn’t an appropriate time to get into a heavy discussion.

Probably not the best time to say so, but Tim Russert carried much of the water for the Bush administration when they were “convincing” the American people we had to invade Iraq.

            Respectfully submitted.

          • David Axisrutt

Yes but it’s still a tragedy. And I don’t believe it’s karma. A moment of respect, all right? Thanks.

            • salliort

I am sorry to hear about Tim Russert. I would not be in such a hurry to blame Tim for the pro Bush and this past year’s Obama, anti Hillary attitude. For years he tried to be a good and fair newsperson.

I have to wonder what the memos were that he received from his producers and what memos they received from the owners of NBC-MSNBC, General Electric, an ownership primarily comprised of the very wealthy conservatives.

My sympathy to his family. Tim Russert was doing his job as mandated by his bosses, as are all the crew at NBC/MSNBC, CBS, ABC and CNN. May Tim RIP.

I’ve said all along that the Republicans wanted to run Obama against McCain so that McCain would be guaranteed the win and now McCain will win, because no matter how you feel about things, we cannot allow a man with as little experience as Obama to become President.

Now let us all get on with the job of making sure–whether we are Democrats or Pumas or Republicans–of getting someone with experience into the White House.

    • sjl106

obama has been hand selecting delegates for the convention all across the country. I LOVE IT FLORIDA DIDN’T ALLOW IT! Something is going on here and it isn’t Democracy. More than likely trying to strong arm the Hillary Delegates or create a riot if the Super Delegates SNAP OUT OF IT!

      • AF catfish

Yep – even his own delegates were ousted. Remember the Houston Chronicle’s report An Obama Mystery at State Meet:

Texas Democratic Party Vice Chairwoman Roy LaVerne Brooks is a superdelegate who endorsed Barack Obama in March.

The longtime party activist from Fort Worth is also running to unseat current state party Chairman Boyd Richie.

Imagine her surprise Tuesday when she received a disturbing phone call from a national Obama operative who is part of a group that parachuted into Texas to work on this weekend’s state party convention.

Roy says the operative, Rudy Shank, told her that unless she drops her candidacy to unseat Richie at the state convention she will not be going to the national convention as a superdelegate.

Obama really has a problem with people being on the ballot.

        • elise

Thank you AF Catfish for posting the link to the Houston article.

There seems to be a lot of confusion among those of us who supported Hillary. I hope there will be some demonstration at the convention among the delegates that will help me make a decision. If the nomination is pushed through without protest, it will be up to her supporters to make a difference in the general election.

I’m sure writing her name in is self defeating so that leaves McCain or staying home. People who communicate on the Internet, if we can reach an agreement, can make a difference. But what about those without access and don’t have a part in making the decision?

noquarter is the best voice and if it were possible to post a vote across the Internet to bring everyone together, it would be good. But then, how could you be sure McCain supporters aren’t influencing the decision? And how is it possible to start a campaign that would effectively include all disenfranchised Democrats?

I just feel there is so much confusion and people get sidetracked by the noise and no consensus is reached. If we really want to mount an effective protest, we have to use discipline with regards to replying to those who want to disrupt organization.

Thanks again for the link. Every piece of information is important.

Yes, it will get worse. Yes, it has been this dirty in politics in the past. Obama and his pals are using the play books from a couple of centuries of dirty back room politics here in America.

Dummies that they are, they are bringing those tactics right out into the light of the Internet, where everyone who is not struck blind by the great god-Obama can see their dirty stinking campaign bullying very clearly.

ON a cheerful note, Obama will soon have everyone in the country who earns $250,000 dollars a year or more voting against him. That includes all the senators and representatives who earn $250,000 and over per year.

There’s many a change between the public endorsement and the vote in the booth.

NY Times reports that Tim Russert is dead of a heart attack.

I would love to say I’m terribly terribly sorry, but I was raised not to lie.

Tom Brokaw seemed very upset, it is very difficult, and painful, and he was only 58.

          Who would anyone refuse comfort?

          HE wasn’t Hitler, you know…

          • claribel borden

            Why, sorry…

          • typical.white.person

            He sure had me fooled.

Russert wasn’t playing devil’s advocate to try to get the interviewee to answer hard questions. Russert would deliberately set the person up by twisting, turning and distorting the facts so as to mislead the person he was interviewing (i.e., Hillary), to try to make them look bad.

He seemed like the Son of Hitler, brother of Son of Sam to me.

My condolences, however, for his family. Especially for the hell of living under the same roof as Russert.

            • claribel borden

In the long run, it won’t matter, will it?

I didn’t even pay attention to him for the last 3 years, he was NOTHING in my life.

              So, I guess it’s relative.

And being a co opted reporter is nothing compared to ordering the deaths of millions, because you’re bATSHIT loony and retarded, right?

How was Russert any worse than Judith Miller, or Olbermann?

But as a friend, husband and father, well, they loved him, like I loved my father.

              And they have my condolences.

              • AF catfish

Yeah his family friends will miss him. I stopped watching him his format grew really stale and did not enlighten.

I watch ABC, CBS, CNN even Fox on Sunday morning. NBC just too monotonous. He was past his prime. But his son and his elderly father “Big Russ” must be pretty sad.

              • beebop

The family has my condolence. That is not the same as being sorry for Russert’s passing. As someone said upthread, you live with that much anger, it does things.

                • claribel borden

Guilt and grief, too, I think.

The whole press scene is a mess, co opted to money, and fame, as opposed to any journalistic ethic, and it was my impression he knew he didn’t uphold his end of the bargain, to the public.

You want to die on the right side of history, not the right side of Dick “fatman” Cheney, and Scooter Libby.

              • elise

I think he was worse because Meet the Press had a standard of integrity in the past. There are a lot of people in this country who still don’t recognize Judith Miller’s name. Olbermann has his cult followeres, but he is clearly insane.

It bothers me that I feel so detached at news of his death. what bothers me more is the media bestowing sainthood upon him.

The worst nighmare would be Mathews or Olbermann being selected to replace him.

            • Outsider

Typical white person, what a typical vile person you are. Bottom. Feeder.

He seemed like the Son of Hitler, brother of Son of Sam to me.

Oh yeah. He was a Hillary hater all right. But it’s still a tragedy. Hey – even Adolf’s demise was a tragedy. Any loss of life is.

That said – Russert’s way of baiting Hill over the Russian candidate was dirty. SNL did a great job of attacking him.

Whatever: you’re forgiven. Hill would forgive you. RIP, dude.

          • LandOLincoln

Well, not everyone believes in death, or that the so-called dead are any different from the so-called living except that they’re no longer lumbered by a physical body.

So while I feel sympathy for those who loved him and will miss him–there are bound to be a few–I’ve got no sympathy for Russert at all. He had a quick and easy death and we should all be so lucky, especially the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the people of those unfortunate countries, the butchery of whom he supported by his incessant shilling for Bush et al.

Its unfortunate that many of the surrogate diareah of the mouthpieces tended to take over the dialogue for stretches at a time, but Meet the press was generally a very interesting show to watch when it wasn’t being overly partisan.

I was sent this this morning by someone who wanted me to put my name in to be an added delegate for Fla..but i knew i would never ever be chosen..as i have written too many nasty notes to Alice Germond and the DNC and all the congress people in Fla who support Obama..i knew i would be on their S list..

but this was sent to me this morning from people who worked with me to be a delegate in 2004…for Fla.

Deadline is today for Dems to apply to be delegates
    By Bill Cotterell
Florida Capital Bureau Political Editor Print

Today is the deadline — the extended deadline — for Florida Democrats to apply for one last chance to be delegates to their party’s national nominating convention.

There are 26 delegate and two alternate seats up for grabs, for supporters of Sen. Barack Obama. The state party previously filled all 211 delegate seats, apportioning them in accordance with results of the Jan. 29 Florida primary.

But the Democratic National Committee didn’t recognize the state primary, because it was held before the Feb. 5 date allowed by party rules. On May 31, the DNC rules and bylaws committee voted to accept Florida’s delegation, with a half-vote each.

snip: so as to not post the full article..please see link below :

Today’s deadline does not affect scores of delegates picked in congressional-district caucuses across the state on March 1, just 16 at-large delegates and 10 party leaders and elected officials who were pledged to Obama, plus the two alternate positions.

Tallahassee City Commissioner Allan Katz and Kirk Wagar, a Miami lawyer who is Obama’s national finance chairman, have been reviewing Obama’s delegate list to see what changes they might make. Democrats who worked in the Obama campaign, but weren’t chosen in the state party caucuses, will have a chance to become delegates or alternates at the Denver convention.
    snip:
    Information is available at http://www.fladems.com/2008dnc.

The extended deadline does not affect delegates pledged to Sen. Hillary Clinton or ex-Sen. John Edwards. Obama’s previously chosen district-level delegates will remain, as only the at-large and party leader/elected officers list is being reconsidered.

Katz has said Obama does not intend to dump a lot of delegates chosen when Florida was officially barred from the convention, and replace them with his own choices now that the state is back in. Democratic National Committeeman Jon Ausman of Tallahassee has been urging the victorious Obama forces to keep the Florida delegation intact, for the sake of reunifying the party after the bitter primary contests.

The Florida delegation has a meeting set for Saturday in Broward County to vote on the Obama at-large and public officials slate of delegates and the two alternates.

Fly, Obama will lose for the simple reason he is strong arming locals…and that, as Tip O’Neal said is politics.

In his attempt to stack the delegates, Axelrod is cutting his own proverbial throat. BO has no leadership role is, by example, unable to unify anything except the next kickback, other than to eliminate “pre-opposition” …nothing knew there from Obama-land, but when the the local party machine itself is jacked from an “outsider” that HAS to create further degradation and is taking on a nationally maligniant momentum.

This CRAP CANNON of BO’s is going to backfire and it won’t be pretty. Back to the shadows of antiquity, the BO DNC plaows full speed ahead.

  • POdVet

They obviously want to ensure that not a single delegate who supports Hillary will be at the convention. If the DNC Elites do not put a stop to this crap and soon, they all need to be voted out of office!

Those you see following the Obamessiah are not Democrats, though the species may try to look similar. They are in fact nothing but JACKASSES!

Today I called Pelosi, Speier, Feinstein and Boxer to complain about DNC moving to Chicago. Anything to get them talking at the Congressional water cooler.

I stayed calm, said I want to be a good Democrat and will vote downticket Dems but will vote McCain because the Obama powergrab is too extreme and too scary for our country. Said it that way so they couldn’t write me off as some angry Clinton supporter.

I won’t write my opinion when someone passed on, i think it is wrong..I think we should all just celebrate life and respect those who pass on.

I would hope all of us would recieve respect when we leave this earth.

            Life is fragile..and precious…for everyone.

Life is a gift..those with the responsibility of life and death should chose carefully and be responsible for how fragile life truely is.

Obama wrote a letter to the Ill. State Senate for a grant to Robert Blackwell Jr. Mr. Blackwell was a client of Obama’s (not his law firm) who paid him $80,000 the first year Obama represented him. Mr. Blackwell’s company recieved the grant.

well late last week i was contacted by my county DEC chair that Obama was sending down college kids to my area..and our DEC chair was looking for housing for the Obama college kids..

i wrote a not so nice letter back to our DEC Chair..and in essences said..hell no..and hell would freeze over first before i would house his thugs..

This will not go over well in my area..many people got the email and were furious.

They were even looking for floor space for blow up beds!

Now i housed the head field rep for my county and 2 other counties in 2004..for 7 months..and he became like my own son.

But not for Obama and nit for his thugs.

Oh and trolls..do not say what i am saying is racist..

the young man i took into my home in 2004 was a 30 year old young man , who was African American.

My husband and i paid for him to fly back and forth to his home state when his mom was dying, less than a month before the election, because i told him he had to be with his mom..that she needed to have him with her.My son went to his mom’s funeral..and i held him in my arms.. when the pain of mourning the loss of his mom was so difficult..

And my husband and i took over running the campaign office for 3 counties so he could be at his mom’s bedside.

My kitchen table was the campaign office until Kerry spent the money to open a huge office in my county.

I won’t do squat for Obama..and i don’t know anyone who will, that worked so hard in 2004 for the dem party..there is total disgust among so many dems i know in Fla!

Sorry. Is it because Obama has tried not to play the game of politics like everyone else, that folk feel that they can’t trust him? Just like the dirt that is created around his campaign there is most likely plenty to be found about the other players but let keep it clean and run on issues. This has nothing to do with politics. The man has died for goodness sake.

Give his family and friends a break.

Back to the original post. Notice Mr. Wagner didn’t deny saying these things. He said they were “taken out of context”. What context is there for expletives?

You threaten and cuss the man and can’t figure out why it might upset him?

    Oy.

    • wry

he used the word “snippets” – an Obama word. When ever anything offensive is aired in the media, Obama says it’s a “snippet”…like we can’t judge “God d*^# America” unless we listen we listen to the whole awful sermon.
      Typical Obama doublespeak.

Just like Wright’s comments “Bill Clinton ridin’ dirty on us like he did Monico Lewinsky (pevic gyrations from the pulpit)” was taken out of context. You see, in context, it was decent Sunday mornin’ sermoning.

Yes, and Obama called his church “mainstream.”

Remember … after Billy Tauzin (R-Nazi) and John Ashcroft (R-Communist) targeted Martha Stewart (D-Angel) they both had health problems.

Ashcroft was hospitalized in intensive care and eventually resigned. Tauzin got intestinal cancer and stepped down from Congress to become a lobbyist.

The way I see it, God got them both for targeting Martha.

Now, God has got Teddy Kennedy (D-Asshole) and Russert (R-Flaming Prick) for their targeting Hillary (D-President).

Will we all fall in line with Obama and the DNC, or will we fight back? From J. Cidre’s June 13 “Radio Obama” analysis of OB’s anti-smear campaign (notice how OB’s campaign seems to be taking cues right out of Castro’s revolutionary playbook?):

“Will we fare any better during this important time in our history? Will we fall in line with the meanderings of a political campaign who will literally say and do anything to get elected? Or, will we listen to the voice or reason that is yelling at the wilderness of ignorance and ignominy?

Before they remove our right to investigate and speak out against corruption, and before we let them redefine truth as a “smear”, let us always remember the words of Fidel Castro: “I believe in free press, I only fight against the smears and lies that continue to tell my people that I am a communist or a dictator in waiting, all because of my supposed associations. These people are simply afraid of change, but you should not be!” (this was said in front of an international press corps inside the old “Habana Hilton”, 1959)”

Let’s judge each other by our character not by the color of our skin or our name or the people who you think are our friends. Even if we compare the Dem race that was just finished — only one of the candidates tried to keep it clean and not politics as usual. Everyone of you with your rude and out of hand comments know in your hearts that if Obama was a white man there would not be a problem at all. He is the best candidate and is smart enough to know that he will need the help of smart people. What kind of experience did Clinton or Bush have when they came into the white house. You only get the experience of president by being president. Like them or not they served the country without previous experience.

This was my first day on this blog and I only wish that we as American have passed this stage in our development. The truth will set your free.

ps. Don’t think that we are so superior that God can’t punish America for her wrong doings. Wake up people and don’t believe the stuff you are being feed.

So tired of myopic little plasticjesusfreaks telling me not to judge a man by the associations he has kept for 20 years, not to judge him but the information we have about what a shitty thief he actually is, but somehoe judge him by the (lack of) content of his character.

You moron! What do you think all his dirty schemes and dirty friends say about his damn character?

Just because he says hope and change over and over doesnt mean its real hope and real change.

If we allow this fraud to get elected, god won’t have to punish this country, we will have done it ourselves.

        • Mary

          Thank you, Jeremiah.

I couldn’t have said it better myself.

I don’t want to be stupid like Truthseeker.

It is apparent that you are not one who researches for truth and I am sure that you don’t know anything about this man except the BS on this blog and others like it. There may be another side that you should look into before passing judgement. Now are you worrying, America is already being punished or do you need someone to explain that to you. Then you can rant about something else that you don’t have a clue about.

And you called me a Moron. You think Wright preached the same sermon every Sunday for 20 years. After going through years of tapes only 1 minute and 52 seconds of stuff to use against Obama could be found.

Yes we American are being punished right now and folk with a lack of knowledge only make it worse because of their blindness.

          • Mary

I didn’t even read your post.

I don’t intend to read any more of them.

            You’re too stupid and uninformed.

            • truthseeker

Thanks for your slightly analytical reply–It looks like it is mainly about which side of the fence you are on. I know that most of you know because you have done your research that the Obama campaign has avoided using the Rezkos and Ayers type tactics on Hillary. Do your research on the Clintons and you will find many things that you may not like, some will be true and some will be false like most of the trash talk found here. I don’t pay much attention to Fox and a few others because they are easily judged by there character. You think Hillary has kept the race clean — WOW — I am sure you know some of the “code words” that are still used in this country and both Hillary and Bill used them selectively. I am certainly not going to blame Hillary and Bill for their past associations or some of the organization they belong to now.
I will admit that I am willing to vote for the dem, winning the primary, in the general election. I have my favorites like everyone else but I do not worship any of them. So I am in a position now that I will vote democratic because that is the only way to get from under what this country has endured over the last 16 years.

You said “Only if you have some. And unfortunately for you, someone has stolen your quota because you are obviously devoid of truth and logic.”

              Where is the truth?

I have not seen it here — its just trash talk! I am new to blogging. Are there sites where folk actually have meaningful discussions about real information.

Or do you think Larry Johnson planted it in the Sun-Times archives? And don’t try to say the Sun-Times is a Republican newspaper because they have endorsed Obama as has the real Republican newspaper the Chicago Tribune. That is the way things work in Chicago.

      • truthseeker

Wow that’s a turn around, I must have missed the promote the first lady as as racist thing. It was the first ladies husband that brought up the race issue. Many in the African American community were surprised by the comments that came out of the Clinton campaign that brought up the issue of race. Obama did not open that door. Those of you who may have studied a little world history or even American history should know that the world has always changed. Many times these changes brought about growth and improvement. Just because Obama does not promote politics as usual, how can you or anyone else say that he does not love this country. Most likely he loves it more than many of you because he is aware of the struggle that blacks, women, and other minorities have had to deal with.

        In your hearts you devise wrongs;
your hands deal out violence on earth.

Bill’s comment about “fairy tale” was about Obama’s position on Iraq because Obama was for the war in 2004. Yet Obama’s campaign twisted to be about his race. Bill has never said anything wrong about Obama’s race. About bringing it up, it was all over the news with reporters talking about this “historic” event. Bill had nothing to do with bringiging it up. Again, you lack truth and logic.

or the people who you think are our friends

The people YOU choose to associate with tells a lot about one’s character. It shows what lines you will cross or won’t cross. It shows what kind of principles and values you have. Like minded people usually hang around together because they share common ground. So who you pick as your friends is a very important guage toward indicating what kind of people you will surround yourself in the future, especially as POTUS.

Interesting. Ausman, a superdelegate endorsed Hillary on 6/3/08. So it all makes sense why the Obama camp is so nasty.

When I wrote to him asking him to endorse Hillary, it was a pleasant surprise when I got a personal email from him saying that he endorsed Hillary.

    • Edna

No, it doesn’t. Superdelegates can endorse whomever they choose. That is NO excuse for Wager’s abusive e-mails. The Florida delegate situation was RESOLVED. Now, mind you, IF the Obama campaign wanted to fight to get its own people on the delegate slate, fine, that is fair that they would try. But to use this kind of abusive, attacking, needlessly bitter, dismissive, arrogant, asanine, uncalled-for, inappropriate, TOTALLY BEYOND THE PALE language is not acceptable. The delegate situation was worked out in the fairest way possible, although there is no way to make the process completely fair at this point, thanks to Howard Dean’s asanine, rule-violating decisions early on. But we had all MOVED ON and were ready for unity and, again, I submit this point: OBAMA WON! He’s the presumptive nominee! So why send such attacking, offensive e-mails that basically viciously dis Florida and every Democrat–from Senator Nelson to Jon Ausman to the millions of voters whom Obama NEEDS–for NO REASON?

When will people wake up to the ugly reality that is Obama? It is nothing like the inspirational, beautiful slogans he spouts.

      • truthseeker

Thank you so much for publicizing this despicable series of e-mails that the Obama campaign sent to Jon Ausman. Jon Ausman is a great Democrat and a member of the DNC from Florida, who has done nothing but work tirelessly during the entire delegate debaucle (sorry if I spelled “debaucle” incorrectly, but I can’t stop mid-rant to check the spelling!) to find a solution that would respect the Democratic Party charter, the integrity of the democratic process, and the VOTERS, all three of which go hand in hand. He succeeded in doing so, and the Democratic Party Rules & Bylaws Committee resolved the situation in the fairest way possible, based largely on the Ausman Proposal. Even I, a Florida Democrat who had been terribly upset and up in arms over the delegate situation since the moment Dean yanked away all our delegates, was satisfied with the fairness of the resolution. Everyone was ready to heal and move on AND, to top it off, the Obama camp WON: he is the presumptive nominee. So why, why, why, why, WHY, pray tell, would his campaign feel the need to send out this shocking series of abusive e-mails? Are they TRYING to outrage and alienate every last loyal Democrat in the state of Florida? If so, then Mission Accomplished because this loyal, lifetime Democrat, for one, is now definitely NOT going to vote for Obama. No mas! That was the LAST of many straws. I’m writing in Al Gore, even though it won’t do any good *sigh*. I cannot in good conscience vote for this hypocritical, voter-dismissing, self-serving, fluff-filled, sloganeering person whose actual actions are the exact OPPOSITE of all his campaign slogans.

IF he fired Wager, I would try yet again to bring myself around to voting for him. But you know what his response thus far to Wager’s e-mails have been, according to what I’ve read on the web? Quote: “That isn’t the man I knew.” WHAT? That comment does NOTHING to distance himself from the remarks, to apologize for them and to FIRE WAGER, which is what needs to be done.

Obama is the biggest, most disgusting phony to ever come down the pike. Wake up, my fellow Democrats…not that it matters now anyway. It’s too late. He’s the nominee.

  • justaguy

I just found this site for the first time, and I am pretty entertained by the level of stupidity and shortsightedness being exhibited by all you “patriots”.

Clinton lost. Clinton has made her concession speech. Get over it and pay attention to what is happening here in the USA, especially the idiot who runs this blog and says he is a ‘lifelong Republican’.

Right now, the Wall Street Banks are lobbying to stop Congress from instituting any oversight on their oil futures trading, especially the trades being done in London, out of the sight of the SEC. They are claiming that the massive price run-ups (which accompanied their massive subprime loan losses) are all due to ‘supply and demand’, even as the USA has for the 6th month in a row reduced its aggregate fuel usage (first time since the 70′s).

These Wall Street bankers are clearly manipulating the market to recoup their massive subprime losses, with the support of George Bush (the guy who wanted to hand all of Social Security to the Wall Street Bankers just a couple of years ago), and you idiots are here posting like little children crying to your mommies.

Wake up, idiots. Lobbyists and special interests have crippled this country over the last 20 years, and we, as a nation, cannot tolerate them, or those who support them, any longer.

The gravy train is coming to an end, if we are lucky. Obama is being elected because anyone with two dendrites to rub together can see that we cannot continue down the path of all the Republican losers that the guy who owns this blog has supported. If Obama doesn’t get it done…doesn’t effect change, he will be impeached.

Get with the program and stop crying in your cereal.

  • Edna

Here’s a hint for “justaguy”, just as Jon Ausman informed Kirk Wager, and apparently as many Obama supporters need to be clued in on: more people will listen to your arguments, respect you and take you seriously if you make said arguments in a substantive, respectful, civil way versus calling people “idiots”, “stupid”, etc. and being as condescending, arrogant, divisive and nasty as so many Obama campaign members (like Kirk Wager) and supporters often are when they engage in what apparently is meant by their campaign slogan of “new politics”. If this is Obama’s new politics, he can keep it. It’s way to ugly for me.

    • justaguy

Here’s a hint for Edna. It’s not about Obama vs Clinton vs McCain, and it is for damn sure not about some utterly idiotic debate centered around an excerpted email exchange between a stuntedly childish political operative in Florida, and a campaign employee of Obama’s, idiot.

It’s about changing the way that this country is run, and reclaiming it as a place where people have a reasonable chance to live and raise a family without the immoral whims of a few corrupt, wealthy fuckers being inflicted upon entire generations of people in order to profit a few cronies.

Also, the word you were looking for in your last sentence is “too”, as in “It’s way too ugly for me.”

      Stop whining. Wake up.
