Women for Fair Politics: On Neil Cavuto, Fox News

Here’s Marilu’s Web site: Women For Fair Politics. The group’s stated purpose:

We are a grassroots organization that is reacting to the terrible treatment that Hillary Clinton has received during her historic run for the Democratic nomination for President of the United States. We invite you to peruse this website, join in the conversation, add your suggestions, sign our petitions, and otherwise participate in our community and make it your own. It is only by banding together will we get the word out that the treatment of Senator Clinton by the media and the Democratic party is completely unacceptable. Together we will find a remedy so that NO ONE will have to face what Hillary has endured.

Below, a post by the famous executive titan Carly Fiorina, a key member of John McCain’s team (and while No Quarter does not support John McCain, and remains focused on electing Hillary Clinton, we will gladly post such interesting items):

Message from Carly Fiorina

Hello Everyone!!!! We are FINALLY back up. It’s great to be able to communicate with everyone again. I know that all of us have been feeling a bit “homeless” since the primary season has ended. We hope that you will all make womenforfairpolitics.com a regular stop. We appreciate all of your input and all of your expressions of concern. This website was like having a baby——it was born on its own timetable which was not necessarily OUR timetable. But we are here and we intend to move forward. Nothing has changed——–we exist to make sure that NO woman running for president will EVER have to experience what Hillary Clinton had to experience.

We are very excited to present the exclusive launch of the following video by Carly Fiorina. We are very interested in what you think of her comments. Please view it and let us know!!

  • ummm

I guess calling Michele Obama “ghetto bitch” is fair. Or “Blow job Queen”. Noquarter seems to be infested with these descriptions of her.

How many of you supported Carol Moseley Braun when she ran for President? Not a mention of her from you people. How many of you care that McCain called his wife a “F—-ng C-nt?”

Now you share a candidate and message with the likes of Rush Limbaugh who called Chelsea a dog and coined the term Feminazi’s.

Your flash in the pan feminism is cynical at best a flat out fraud at worst.

    • HARP

When you go to the mind reader, do you get half price?

      • AF catfish

        LOL.

      • Republican4McCain

Republican women are more free than dems. They don’t need welfare, abortions, public schools or equal pay laws. Don’t let the Obamanites fool you. Just say no and join us republicans at a Free Republic page just for Hillary supporters.
My friends at Free Republic have posted their thanks to Hillary supporters. Keep up the good work. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1992769/posts

        • Hope Floats

When my party decided that as a woman I was too stupid to pick my own candidate, and they’d be nice and do it for me, that’s when it stopped being my party. How can you believe that a party that doesn’t think you have the right to vote, thinks you have the right to make choices about abortion? Cares about equal pay laws? Education?

So they picked a candidate who has so far voted pro-choice, because it’s been in his political interest to do so. Does that mean they’ll always choose one for you? When they decided your right to vote was negotiable, they decided all your rights were negotiable.

The only way to get rid of the party leaders who did this, and make a statement that women are not going to tolerate disenfranchisement is for Plastic Jeezus to go down in flames.

Yes, it is a great irony that that means voting for McCain.

However, in 8 years Bush has not managed to overturn Roe v Wade, and McCain wants to appoint strict constructionist judges. Roe v Wade is a law prima facie. But even if it were overturned, I’d still have a right to vote: a possible avenue of fighting it.

You saw him give Clinton the finger, those disgusting “period” remarks, Annie Oakley, the manner in which his whole campaign has been and continues to be conducted even after Clinton has supposedly lost and is endorsing him. Do you honestly think this is a man who thinks women are his equals? I didn’t think so, sweetie.

Neither McCain or Obama would have been my first choice, but one of them is the guy behind the attacks on Clinton who doesn’t think you have a right to vote.

    • ken

Well, MO has 0.01% of what Hillary got thrown at her. Cry me a river. I would vote for Carol Moseley Braun over Obama. She has more experience. I believe next to
“flash in the pan” in the dictionary is a picture of Obama.

      • candymarl

Ditto. Carol MB would get my vote any day. Obama, not so much.

    • Uppity Woman

John McCain has a LOT of catching up to do to match Barack Obama AND his followers in the sexist department.

You can’t have us back. But like you said, you don’t need us, so why bother, right?

      • Brian

Give one example of Obama being sexist.

        • StrawberrybitesBarky

Ya mean like when he referred to a female reporter as “Sweetie” or when he told a crowd of young girls he was taking a picture with that it was just his cell phone vibrating in his pocket.

          • Brian

The sweetie thing is ridiculous and just an overreaction by people looking for something to pounce on.But dear lord! How can we possibly elect a man who once made a joke about a vibrating cell phone. Also it wasn’t young girls it was members of his campaign staff.

            • LandOLincoln

The sweetie thing is ridiculous and just an overreaction by people looking for something to pounce on.

You monumental asshole, do you really think any MALE (because you’re nowhere close to being a man) is in any position to decide what’s sexism or not? That presumption is in fact the very essence of sexism.

              • candymarl

How about shaking your butt while a bunch of female reporters egged you on? Objective journalism? I think not.

              • candymarl

Now Fitz is a target of the investigation? After Obama friend Rezko is convicted. More of Obama associates are due for trial. How interesting.

I’ve read more than one article with direct quotes from interviews where even people who didn’t like Fitz said he was honest, couldn’t be bought, and was a bulldog.

He’s taken down a friend of Obama and now he’s dirty. Something even the Mob in Chicago never accused him of when he was after them.

                Hmmm.

            • Uppity Woman

You try that sweetie shit in corporate America and you will find out what a Nothing it is. It is a way to subjugate women and you know it. It’s nothing. Nothing to YOU.

It’s unprofessional and a way to remind women that they should be subordinate. Telling a female Pharmacist that you will kiss her if she wears your button is not a good sign for a man who thinks he should run the country. Offering to get on your knees for her to wear the button is not a professional alternative either. The man is a subordinating pig. Just like you.

The attitude of a president rolls down hill and he is definitely unprofessional. Just like you are. You obviously do not work in any reasonably high level in a company, because you would know better if you did.

              • Uppity Woman

See above for your examples, pig.

            • Teakwood

You do understand that doing what BO has done, would get you fired most jobs?

        • ulahane

          “Periodically, when she gets down…”

          • ginaswo still says no to Uhhbama

            “her CLAWS COME OUT!”
“she lashes out to feel better”

SMACKING HIS WIFE ON THE AXX ON TV THE OTHER NIGHT WHEN HE MADE HIS BIG SPEECH??!!!!

            • Mickey

How about that sound he played at his ralleys “I got 100 problems and a Bitch ain’t one of them”

        • NotProObama

Oh, he’s a finger flipper, alright. Street flip cred.

        • JoseyJ

Obama is very immature – similar to the antics of a 7th grader.
Like when he “brushed Hillary off” the bottom of his shoe and laughed along with the crowd – very similar to scenes he witnessed at his race-baiting hatemongering church.

Not presidential at all – but appealed to his young thug supporters.

            Brian

I will never forget him flipping her the finger twice in 2 different rallies. Then brushing his shoulder off – demeaning gestures I will never forget.

            **
I thought the same thing – how IMMATURE and UNPROFESSIONAL, esp. the flipping off his shoulder – HOW CHILDISH! I actually felt sorry for the jerk because of his stupidity! THIS is what we want as president of the most powerful country in the world???? Is this what Obama cultists think makes him a great, qualified world leader??? Our country is filled with scary, thoughtless, easily led, gullible people.

            • shano

Sorry, but that was not about Hillary-guess what? Not everything is about Hillary.

Hillary agreed with Mr. Obama that the first part of the ABC Debate was a fiasco and unfair media. thats what the should brush off was about.

You people! Are you Democrats? Really?

Or is Larry johnson gone back to his Republican roots?
And trying to get a bunch of people to vote against their best interests?

              • Nicole

“You people! Are you Democrats? Really?”

Yes, but I don’t think you are.

“Or is Larry johnson gone back to his Republican roots?”

                No; he supports Hillary wholeheartedly.

“And [is Larry] trying to get a bunch of people to vote against their best interests?”

Definitely not: he has said he supports only Hillary, neither Obama nor McCain.

                Got it, kid?

          • David Axisrutt

Obama is very immature – similar to the antics of a 7th grader.

            You sure got that right.

“Throwing the china (dishes)” – VERY sexist statement!

        • Susan

Hold on a minute, sweetie, and I will, but not today, because periodically, I have a bad day, I get a little down, and then my claws come out! Meow!

        • Northwest rain

You are a dumb shit male.

You Obamabots think with your balls — you think your brain is YOUR balls.

Yep that was a sexist remark — but not half as bad as the dozens and dozens that Obama consistently make about Hillary, to Hillary and to women in general.

          • David Axisrutt

They don’t have balls, NR. ;)

      • shano

We never ‘had’ you in the first place.

Hillary die hards do not realize their beloved Bill (and I voted for him twice) would have never been elected without Ross Perot taking over 10% of the Conservative vote.

For you all to slam a fellow Democrat like this is inexplicable. Yea, Hillary was a ‘vicitm’ of sexism as has been Michelle Obama, and Barack Obama was a victim of racism. BOTH candidates were beaten and bloodied by the media. Not just YOUR candidate.
        BOTH of them.

The worst slam this whole primary season was Hillary Clinton saying both she and McCain had commander in chief experience, but Mr. Obama had a speech. Incredible. That will be used and played in a loop over and over this season by the Republicans.

I have never in my life heard a fellow Democrat running for office praise the Republican opponent over the Democratic challenger. Inexplicable.

(btw, I marched with 15 million others against the Iraq war starting, and I thought that was a great speech at the time, and still do)

I live in Arizona and have seen what McCain has done in 26 years. He has gutted our public schools. The money from public trust land is supposed to fund schools here. McCain (and Rick Renzi who is under federal inditement by the FBI for crooked land deals EXACTLY like the one McCain just completed in Yavapai County) has done these sweetheart land deals his whole career.
He uses kick-backs and, in the beginning, mafia money to fund his campaign

McCains wife has been involved in these deals, in the Keating 5 scandal, Cindy was directly involved by means of a strip mall commercial real estate deal. As well as being a daughter of the mob (google Hensley/Kemper Marley).

McCain steals money from the Arozona schools and has done so for 26 years. No wonder we have the 2nd worse schools in the nation.

Is Larry johnson a Democrat? Just curious. Because McCain is worse than Mr. Obama on every issue. Mrs. Clinton agrees with me on this point.

        • JoseyJ

Obama is owned by the Dem establishment who gave him one job – destroy the Clintons.
No newbie Dem senator would repeatedly trash the administration of the ONLY 2-term Dem president since FDR.
Unless he had the permission of the Dem establishment.
The media sold us Bush in 2000, the Iraq War – and now they’ve got a new corporate toy.

          Obama/Wright08

          • shano

            Did you read my post?

Show me one instance, just one, where Mr. Obama trashed Mr. Clinton. Just one, OK?

Sorry, but Dem party leaders stayed neutral until the primaries were over-thats the way it has always been and this election has been no different.

You all have missplaced anger. Mr. Obama ran the better campaign.
You all should be furious at that dolt MARK PENN for running a terrible, slacker and losing campaign strategy.
I am furious that the Clintons still have to pay him for his terrible job as it weakens the party.

I would vote for any Dem over McCain, any day.

            McCain=WORSE than Bush.

            • Andy

              shano:

Are you kidding? How about SC , calloing the racist and the TRASHING THE WHOLE Clinton Presidency: do you know how many times he said there was NOTHING good being done in politics since Reagan?

Two more points: (1) NQ is not for McCain.
              least Larry; read his posts.

              (2) You seem to be confused between being AGAINST Obama. Does not necessarily imply
voting MCain. Each one of us ewill exercise our right and duty to vote (against Obama) in different ways. And there are many.

              • shano

Yes, and Bill clinton would not have won his first election if Ross Perot had not gathered the ‘voting against’ block of the Republican party.

Same thing-voting against Obama=voting for McCain and Larry Johnson knows this. He is a smart man.

Show me ONE QUOTE of MR.OBAMA calling MR. CLINTON or HILLARY CLINTON anything at all. one quote, OK?!

              • Uppity Woman

Don’t do this work for these jerks. They already know the answers. They ask the same stupid questions here every day so that they can keep up busy. You don’t owe them a thing. They know FULLY well what Obama did to Hillary and to women.

                • shano

No, I really dont. I know the media has been unfair to Hillary. I know the media has been unfair to Barack.

Show me one quote where Mr. Obama is disrespectful of Mr. or Mrs. Clinton. Just one.

                  • mimi

Geez, I hate to give this asshole anymore attention but here goes:

It was Michelle Obama who deliberately misquoted Bill Clinton’s fairy tale remark. She said: “Can you believe him calling a black man running for president a fairy tale?” She knew full well that the fairy tale remark was a direct reference to Obama’s stance on the Iraq War. The Obamas never aplogized and the media only tacitly corrected the misquote.

“The Jesse Jackson won SC” was sold by the media as the former president race-baiting when in fact, Jesse Jackson’s campaign was a major accomplishment for AAs at that time and paved the way for Obama’s candidacy. But Obama was so busy playing both sides of the street: on the one hand he was trying to be this transcendant candidate for white people and for AAs he playing the great black hope or should I say hopeless?

Obama’s misogyny is also about tone and attitude. Saying that “Senator Clinton could stay in the race as long as she wants to” as if he was granting her permission. And let’s not even go into the endless stream of vile names Senator Clinton was called by his supporters.

Obama, the DNC have denigrated the only 2 term Democratic president we’ve had in 50 years, a sitting Senartor and former First Lady and have yet to apologize. In fact, we’ve been told to STAY HOME!

All the more reason why I am voting McCain. I don’t understand how anybody who calls themselves a person with good self-esteem could take an insult like that passively.

Oh no, you motherfuckers, you won’t get away with that shit. Obama will have to

                    WIN WITHOUT ME!!!

                    • AF catfish

Wow mimi I didn’t know it was Michelle Obama herself that twisted the fairy tale comment but you’re right (found the link after reading your comment then Googling for it.) Thank you!

You know, Obama is just a divisive figure.

Willie Brown was our mayor for two terms and not once did he or his staff call anybody racist in all his years here. And he plays hardball!

            • speaktruth

Do you REALLY believe we have no minds of our own, that we wait until Hillary instructs us on how to vote on any issue and we follow like sheep, that we all feel the same way about everything, that we follow what is called the “party line” (from fascist governments that have a party line and expect people to follow it) on everything, so Hillary says to vote for Obama and 18 million voters fall into place and obey.
No, it doesn’t work that way. That’s why we support Hillary. In spite of the media brainwashing 24/7 for the past six months bashing Hillary.
We look at the issues, all of them, and they are complex, in all their nuance and meaning, and make our own decision. Some of us don’t vote only one party, but mix, depending on the candidate.
You’ve heard the expression “it’s a free country”. That’s what it means. It’s a secret ballot, too. That means people are not supposed to be pressured about how to vote.
I would explain more about my reasons but it seems clear that you’re not really listening, judging by your response to all those answers about sexism. You didn’t read them
So I won’t waste my breath – or fingers. You shouldn’t waste yours either. You and your candidate should have anticipated all this long ago, when you and he were abusing us and Hillary.
You sound like all abusers – you really don ‘t get it.
              Because you are too narcissistic.

              • shano

Great way to support Hillary, by voting for McCain. (exactly what you do when you vote’against Obama’ either way)

btw, I have been waiting for the
“Hillary Clinton Supporters for Obama” group to form.

Like the “Hillary Supporters for McCain” that formed right off the bat after the primary.

Maybe you all are FOR the War in Iraq, against fair pay for women, against the environment. Maybe you all are Republicans?

                • fran

Shano: We are FOR honest and fair elections, we are FOR an unbiased media and true equality for women (not the pretense of fairness for women while your own Party demeans and insults you), we are FOR a candidate who really cares about the environment, not one who claims to but voted for the Cheney energy bill and accepts large contributions from the nuclear energy industry and big oil. Don’t you get it? He’s a profoundly unqualified and hypocritical candidate. We are FOR competency, integrity and character. He has not exhibited any of those qualities. More importantly, we are FOR true democracy: the will of the people is reflected in the vote. Hillary Clinton won the popular vote. Obama was selected by a ridiculous delegate allocation system, gaming the caucuses, and the party elite and their own agenda. That is not democracy, and being a true DEMOCRAT means taking a stand. Read some history.

                • TheViking

It isn’t just Hillary Supporters for MCCain, there are TONS of people who first gave BO the benefit of doubt and now have “buyers’ remorse”.

You really think all those people would vote for BO again after everything that’s come out?

                  Really?

                  Don’t be so sure.

                • Hope Floats

Maybe we’re against election fraud and sexism.

            • fran

Shano, put down the hopium pipe…your vision is seriously distorted.

The party leaders remained neutral?! Kennedy, Kerry, Pelosi, Carter, Dean??? Did you miss the “GET OUT NOW!” refrain for a candidate that ended up with more votes than any candidate in primary history? Did you miss Nancy Pelosi’s completely inaccurate description of the role of the superdelegates and her repeated interjection of her opinion in the primary race even though she is supposed to be “neutral” as the Chair of the Convention?

And re: Obama’s treatement of Hillary: he is too slick–and too cowardly–to attack her directly. She challenged him to his face during debates. He waited until the next day and then mocked her on the stump in front of his adoring crowds. Referencing the ultra-misogynistic lyric by JZ, he flicked her off his shoulder, complained about her “claws coming out,” lied about her NAFTA stance, and had his surrogates place robocalls into PA homes saying she is “untrustworthy” (the classic 90′s right-wing talking point about Hillary). Not to mention his constant condescending and contemptuous attitude toward her. You have to be blind not to see it–kool-aid blind.

All this “debate” about whether or not their was sexism in the campaign is a complete farce. If you are that deep in denial, you will never be objective. Maybe his failure in the fall due to the many lucid women who will not vote for him will wake you from the delirium.

          • Northwest rain

I agree — Howie Dean and Pooposie kicked the Clintons OUT of the party.

The Clintons owe the DNC and snObama NOTHING at all.

            I don’t care ’cause I’m an Independent.

            • shano

              I am an Independent, too.

Mr. Obama will be helping Mrs. Clinton pay off her campaign debt.

              • Hope Floats

You were a Republican when you voted for Bush.

            • Uppity Woman

And we don’t owe the obamas anything either.

              • shano

Mr. Obama will be helping Mrs. Clinton pay off her debts, which must be paid off in the next few months.

I for one will be happy to go see, say, Stevie Wonder and hear both Democratic candidates speak on the same stage! It will be great.

Yes. this will be the future because Obama has pledged to help his fellow Democrat and she has pledged to help him.

The Democrats must defeat McCain in November.

                • Hope Floats

You make my fucking skin crawl. You people have no warmth, no charm, no decency, you’re smug and condescending, and all you can talk about is Democratic party principles YOUR CANDIDATE DOES NOT ESPOUSE.

                • cowgirlblues

the robo-crats will have to defeat McCain in the fall-and hey good luck. The days of McCarthism are back-the DNC expcts us to sign a loyalty oath to the party-but we own our vote-not the DNC-I just took a job in Colo. for the summer so I can be frount and center for the protests

          • David Axisrutt

            Totally correct.

        • Brendy

shano – “Because McCain is worse than Mr. Obama on every issue. Mrs. Clinton agrees with me on this point.”

          **

Have you seen the new repub ad? Hillary is in it stating that she and McCain BOTH have experience and that Obama ‘gave a speech in 2004′ (whatever year it was). This pic was of her during one of the debates she was having with Obumer. That doesn’t show ME or the COUNTRY that Clinton agrees with you.

          • shano

I refer you to Mrs. Clintons last speech.

Actually, she has said this numerous times. Wow, she is your candidate and you don’t know her stance on Mr. Obama v McCain?

            talk about low information voter….

            • shano

That is exactly why her unfortunate statement about the commander in chief credentials was a terrible political blunder and has never been done by any candidate in any election. (one would never praise the Republican over the Democrat, if you are a Democrat, that is).

Hillary Clinton is trying to make up for this blunder now by saying the differences between her and Obama are “pale compared to the differences with McCain”.

Larry Johnson did not post Mrs. Clinton saying this?
I am shocked, shocked I tell you!

              • LandOLincoln

(one would never praise the Republican over the Democrat, if you are a Democrat, that is).

But one might well praise one Republican over another, if one were a Democrat, might one?

Obama is only a “Democrat” because the Daley Machine is (nominally) Democratic. If they were Republican, he’d be Republican.

                • shano

And Mr. Obama’s policy proposals are 95% the same as Mrs. Clintons.

Your point was? I did not quite understand it because I listened to Hillary Clintons speeches on this matter.

              • Karma

Oh please…you are a low information voter.

Obama constantly praised the Republicans over Bill Clinton’s terms in office on circuit. Ignoring the peace and prosperity for lies and smears.

This whole, ‘I’ve never heard’….Obama had been doing it for months. You’re indignant that she did it once…what a hypocrite!

I think you are upset because you know she was telling the truth….just like you know Obama wasn’t….when smearing them.

              • Hope Floats

Her campaign was a terrible political blunder that she paid for by having to endorse this lightweight. No matter what Clinton says, Obama is unprepared for the CIC job. He has made several shockingly wrong statements on foreign policy. He doesn’t even know American history. His economic and healthcare plans are catastrophes. I have never seen a reason to vote for Obama at all. Not one, except he is fairly young, can give speeches (and has a bunch of bottom-feeders propping him up in his own party.)

            • Brendy

              talk about low information voter….

              **
Oh, so you think I’m one of the ‘uneducated’ Hillary supporters, huh? How ‘uneducated’ YOU must be! Of course, Hillary’s last speech – being a DEMOCRAT – she HAD to ‘praise’ and get behind Obama and point out the differences between the dem and repub; afterall, she STILL would like a future in politics AS A DEMOCRAT (besides, who says her ‘quest’ is ACTUALLY over – there’s still plenty of time left between now and August before some major blow could occur concerning Obama)! So, how do you think it would’ve gone over if Hillary IN HER LAST SPEECH praised McCain? I’d say her career was washed up – don’t you have ANY common sense?

              • shano

                Are you a psychic?
So you alone know when Mrs. Clinton is sincere or not?

Wow, what other historical events have you correctly predicted?

If any Hillary supporter does not take her at her word:ie, that the differences between her and Mr. Obama pale in comparison to McCain…..

and if they cannot see for themselves- McCains stance on health care, womens issues, the courts, the environment are a complete opposite of Hillary..

then yes, they are a low information voter.

                McCain-95% agreement with Bush

Hillary Clinton and Barack obama-95% agreement on policy issues.

                • David Axisrutt

You’ve been reported as a troublemaker, dickhead.

                  • shano

                • ulahane

Funny, just a few weeks ago, you Obama supporters were telling us that she was a Republican. Now they agree. LOL.

                  • shano

I never said that. But zi would like you people to address the issues I am bringing up. Because I know McCain is worse than Bush.

Larry Johnson, if memory serves, used to be a Republican.
                    Maybe that is why he is pushing the topics he does. to get Hillary supporters to either;

                    1. Not vote

                    2. Vote for the Republican, or

                    3. Vote for a 3rd party.

all of which would be a crying shame for America. We need to get the neo-cons out of the White House.

                    • Uppity Woman

I don’t need to be “pushed” to do anything. I am here because I am not welcome at DK, myDD or Huffpo. That’s because I already decided Barack Obama will never get my vote. Why are YOU here?

                    • Hope Floats

Oh, you know McCain is worse than Bush. When your opinion is worth more than a steaming pile of crap in a bag, we’ll ask for it.

          • Susan

You mean the one that also quotes Joe Biden and John Edwards knocking his experience, too?

            • shano

Sorry, but Biden and Edwards NEVER said McCain would be more experienced. Nor would they because McCain would be a disaster for America at this point in history and Larry Johnson knows it.

The speech Hillary gave on Saturday, the 7th of June should clarify this for you.

and other meetings where she says her differences with Obama pale in comparison to McCain.

              • ulahane

Do you know what the word “experienced” mean? No one has to say McCain is more experienced any more than they have to say he is older.

                • shano

McCains only experience was to marry a daughter of the Las Vegas mob to have the funds to run for office the first time.

Then the practiced application of the worst sort of crony capitalism to stay in office. Do you watch his speeches?

He is wrong on foreign policy, on the environment, on womens issues, on the courts…I could go on.

              • Brendy

But Edwards was putting down Obama by saying ‘the flowery speeches…’ – we KNOW what he meant by that statement!

              • Andy

Biden said that all what Obama was about was
                “a noun a verb and a 2002 speech”.

                How’s that?

                • shano

                  Wrong.
He was talking about RUDY baby.

                  and the correct quote was;
                  “noun, verb and 9-11″

        • LandOLincoln

McCain’s a crook, but Obama is at least as bad if not worse. Did McCain ever leave constituents to try to live without water or power IN CHICAGO IN THE WINTER in buildings in his district, buildings he helped his equally sleazy business partner buy in the first place?

I pray Rezko sings like a bird, and that Fitz has enough to indict Obama and Blagojevich the rest of that scummy lot before the end of August.

          • shano

Never gonna happen. In fact the whole Rezko trial became about the Attorney General scandal.

Fitz was one of the targets, according to information that came out of the Rezko trial. Interesting, no?
No wonder it is not getting much play in the media-

Bill and Hill have the same sorts of contributors, every politician does.

But McCain is ESPECIALLY dirty. He, after all, had to give back hundreds of thousands of dollars from his friend Keating. There are others.

The KBR and Blackwater lobbyist, Charlie Black, for example is working on the McCain campaign.

i cannot for the life of me figure out why Johnson is running this scam on Democratic voters.

            • LandOLincoln

I notice you don’t even try to deny that Obama ignored constituents who were freezing in slum apartments he’d helped his patron and business partner buy in the first place.

Instead you dodge and deflect, whine about the Clintons, then patronize us by accusing Larry of scamming and us of falling for it.

              Typical, typical, typical…

O-Tot, you got nothin’. Go home and stay there. You’re way out of your league here.

              • shano

Sorry, but I know McCain better than you (I admit, I do not know Chicago politics)

I live in Arizona. I know all the dirt on one of the dirtiest politicians in the Republican Party, Johnny boy McCain. As dirty as they come. A neo-con fascist at this point.

                • StrawberrybitesBarky

                  Riiiiiight. That’s why he’s still a senator?

          • Hope Floats

I have never seen proof McCain is a crook. Could you at least be specific before throwing out ad hominem attacks?

        • ritamary

Where is Obama’s speech? I have never seen a video of it, and I don’t want the Axelrod recreation of it. Send a link to video of the speech.

        • Hope Floats

The worst slam this whole primary season was Hillary Clinton saying both she and McCain had commander in chief experience, but Mr. Obama had a speech.

Obama has been running on his “superior judgment.” He was not in the Senate to vote for the Iraq war, and he attacked everyone who did as being Bush running for his third term. He used that on both Hillary and McCain.

As it turns out, Hillary and McCain are both on the Senate Armed Services Committee. They both understand how our military works. Hillary may have been teased for her “Sniper Fire,” but she has visited combat zones. She has written and passed legislation to improve services for our veterans. Obama hasn’t been to Iraq in what’s going on three years. He hasn’t held a meeting with our NATO allies about Afghanistan in his Senate Foreign Affairs European Subcommittee.

      • Acadian

Wow, a ‘no true Scotsman’ defense of all the slurs. Usually that’s a little farther down the list than first in line.

        • Hope Floats

I don’t see that anyone was defending the slurs. Given the Obamas’ real records, the insults are flattering. I’d vote for Obama if he actually gave a rats ass about the poor, was a Muslim and loved this country.

How many of you supported Carol Moseley Braun when she ran for President?

My mother worked on Carol Moseley Braun’s campaign for Senate back in 1992. I myself would vote for Carol over Obama in a hot minute, as I would for Harold Ford, or Charlie Rangel, or Jesse Jackson Sr., or probably even Al Sharpton. As corrupt as Al is, at least he’s witty and smart, and nowhere close to being the power-mad narcissist and demagogue Obama is.

So you can take your tired old whine of racism and stick it. You lot are like a broken record, and beyond tiresome.

      • Karma

Strange enough….Al Sharpton ran a more honorable campaign in 2004 than Obama did.

He killed at the debates too.

        Nothing like Obama’s feckless performances.

        • McBush

Ohhh isn’t that nice giving Al a pat on the head like he was a little poodle to show how “tolerant” you are. That’s mighty “whitey” of you. Hill bless you.

          • Hope Floats

Obama does suck at debating, though. I watched Sharpton destroy Hitchens in a debate on religion.

This how much people despise Obama. At the beginning of this year, I mentioned on many occasions in the blogosphere that I had voted for Al Sharpton in 2004 and a lot white people went ” Eeww!” As an AA I’m used to that. Now people are so downright disgusted and alarmed over this biracial fraud that we have some admitting that they’d vote for Sharpton over Obama.

That’s how bad this fucker is to people. The man is toxic! I think we’ve already seen some of that evidence today.

Do I really need to break it down to you any further?

You sound like a person who would absolutely die for a particular ‘party’. I prefer COUNTRY over ‘party’.

Obama, with a Muslim dad AND step-dad, raised in his early life as a Muslim IN A MUSLIM COUNTRY – his mother being an athiest; attended a church for over 20 years whose doctrine was the Black Liberation Theology and followed the Black Values System and the ‘pastor’ preached hatred towards whites, Jews and blamed us and America for all the blacks’ problems – AND the world’s. Obama – friends with known, unrepentent American bombers/terrorists; friends with shady real estate and other crooks. Obama – flourished in corrupt Chicago politics, beat out Alice Palmer in a ‘suspicious’ manner…

Obama – he’s the ‘best’ to represent the ‘party’? No thanks!

Hillary can say whatever she wants to say about how she ‘feels about dems voting for the repub’ – I’m a PERSON, an AMERICAN first so I’m voting for the best ‘person’ who will NOT destroy this ‘country’ – NOT the ‘party’.

        • shano

Yea, well it is about the ISSUES, is it not?

The Democratic Congress can work for the party. With Hillary out for now, McCain is the best leader for the country.

Larry Johnson is a feminist all of a sudden rending his garment at the unfair sexist treatment of Hillary Clinton, and yet when Michelle Obama is called things like “Blowjob Queen”, “bitch”, “angry ghetto woman” and “gutter garbage” on his own site he is eerily silent. • uhh somehow this notion that I am qualified to be president is uhh uhh ridiculous

That is a fair question. Mrs Obama has created this backlash for herself. She attacked the Clintons so viciously without any consideration for the contributions they have made to the party, the AA community and the nation. (Not to mention her harsh language is very unbecoming of someone desiring the role of First Lady)

The hypocrisy of bashing them on a personal level, but expecting unearned, unquestioning adoration for herself and her husband is unbelievable.

      • shano

Really? What did Michelle say, exactly?

        Do tell!

        • Brendy

Michelle Obama said “Don’t trust other people’s opinons, don’t trust bloggers becasue people lie.”

Hey, shano – you’re blogging and have your own opinions, so I guess she’s calling YOU a liar, also!

Michelle Obama – like her husband – sounds like they want to shut down freedom of speech. She’s trying to ‘dictate’ how we should feel/think or what we should blog. Another ‘good’ policy of the Obamas???

          • shano

Oh please, what a bunch of nothing.

Mr. Obama is a Constitutional scholar, and would be the first person to defend free speech.

I do see many, many lies on-line. Michelle is right about that. I see many lies on this thread, too many to address.

But then this has been going on quite a while now. Fellow Dems attacking Mr. Obama with the most misconstrued convoluted things. Or missplaced anger rightlly reserved for mark Penn and the media.

We all know that a vote for McCain is a vote ‘against’ Obama.

That is the EXACT result we are hoping for!

Obama is not a constitutional Scholar. he is a hack lawyer with an Affirmative Action Harvard degree.

And, he padded his resume with nonsense about being a Law professor at the University of Chicago when all he did was give a few lectures to upperclassmen.

What a buffoon. He can’t even tie two thoughts together if his life depended on it. No wonder he backed out of Town Hall debates with McCain.

Obama can’t even out think a 72 year old? And he wants to be POTUS? Gimme a break.

            • Hope Floats

“Claw his eyes out” “racist” and assassination comments. “She couldn’t keep her own house in order.” Those comments.

      • JP49

Don’t forgot Michelle was asked by Katie Couric if Hillary was the nominee would she support her and Michelle said “I’d have to think about that”. Michelle also said she’d like to scratch Bill Clinton’s eyes out. Lest we forgot “for the first time in her life she is proud of her country. Piss Off.

        • shano

          Wrong.
If you want to make a point, please have the quote right!

Michelle was asked if she would “work” for the Clinton campaign.

Michelle has two small children at home.

Of course she would have to think about a commitment like that! sheesh!

That language is being used by your friends the Obama trolls infesting the site,

Why are you trying to give us an ummm job?

    • It’s Not Me

And I’m sure you were just as concerned when the Obamarhoids called Bill and Hillary RACISTS, right?

      HYPOCRITE.

    • Northwest rain

THIS is exactly how the Obamabots started their take over of Taylor Marsh — demanding that ANY negative remark about Mrs. Obama be removed.

TM got on her knees and asked their appology and then proceeded to delete anything that the Obamabots objected to.

Mrs. Obama is a racist — just like the the Rev. Wright. Mrs. Obama is a self centered brat just like her husband. How much did the Obama’s give to the victims of the Hurricane Katrina??? How much have the Obama’s given of their time or money to the poor and needly in Chicago? What charities for the poor and needy are the Obama’s involved in? Do the Obama do law work for free at store-front legal aid offices?

NO — the Obama’s are self centered — give me, give me racists.

    • Uppity Woman

Hell is that all she’s been called? I would have welcomed it compared to what I’ve been called by Obama supporters.

      • Uppity Woman

And by the way, please post the messages where she was called those things. Or shut up.

    • Hope Floats

You don’t have to be a feminist to recognize sexism and pointing it out doesn’t make you an activist, it just means you have human decency.

  • Psychosavant

I’m sure the lady from Fair Politics wouldn’t give your pencil d*ck the time of day.

And why are you all crying now? You gave Hillary hell for months and then thought everything wouuld be hunky dorey? That everyone would just fall in line and support Obamabi? You can label us racist all you want but at the end of the day Obama isn’t getting our votes and that just drives you nuts, lol. Actually, you’re the racist for ever bringing up the fact that he’s black. That shouldn’t even be a cosideration when picking a President. The only things you morons trot out when trying to get people to vote for him is you testimony of what brought you to Obambi, hope, change, and “oh, yeah, wouldn’t it show we had come such along way to elect Barack”. You want to feel like you’ve done something so bad.

And then the only other argument you’ve got is the Supreme Court. Pathetic.

          • shano

And then Mr, Obama gave a speech at Martin Luther Kings Church and told those very proper Christians it was not acceptable to discriminate against gays. Yea, he says gay and straight alot!

          • Hope Floats

Gays men and women alike have been our staunchest allies. I talked to a man tonight at a dinner party; he is gay and works in theater. He got it.

I rattled off the usual BS about Hillary having done nothing and getting her Senate seat out of symapathy. He said, “She graduated top of her class at Wellesley and was profiled in Time mag years before she even met Bill.”

This is the ultimate satisfaction. I can already see the temper tantrums of the childish supporters of BHusseinO. I still hold out hope that people will wake up and realize that the former democratic party is forever broken. And I didn’t leave them they left me.

Oh yeah! If Hillary were YOUR sister, your mother, aunt, daughter, or wife and after Obama and his cultists and the media vilified her and called her every name in the book and basically ‘stole’ the election from her, I’m sure YOU would pull the lever for Obama??? Be truthful, now. Do you REALLY think Hillary’s mom, Bill (after ALL the bashing about him, too) and Chelsea will pull that lever for Obama? They’ll probably not pull the lever for McCain, but WILL THEY for Obama? I’m betting the ‘for president’ box/lever will be left untouched by them. Just as Michelle would ‘have to think about’ voting for Hillary IF it were the other way around.

          • shano

Michell said she had to think about “working’ for the Clintons. she has two small children at home.

Obama and Clinton will get together later this summer to raise funds to pay off Clintons debt. Mr. Obama will make it possible for Hillary to regain the 15 million? 20 million? she loaned her campaign.

Obama has been bashed just as bad, you know. this site is still bashing him. bash .lie. bash. lie. bash. lie about the Obamas.

            Pretty much Larry Johnsons site.

            Larry Johnson for McCain!

We hold our noses because of the excrement O’boy and the Obots feed each other when we show our support for McCain.

        • Hope Floats

“Stupid” always wins them over. Hillary and McCain are similar on many positions. Why, loook at the gas tax holiday. Maybe prices needed to hit $5 a gallon before the genius of this idea caught on.

    • David Axisrutt

I am not a violent person but let me just say that if he ever did anything like that towards anyone at all in my presence something might happen I couldn’t remember afterwards where he mysteriously dislocated his jaw.

      • shano

Another lie about Mr. Obama. He would never flip anyone off on television. He scratched his face if you see it from all camera angles.

Now Bush did, and thats a fact,
not a specious lie like this one about Obama.

        • Hope Floats

That’s why everyone laughed and whistled. He was talking about Hillary stabbing him with a knife and just paused to scratch his face. • ginaswo still says no to Uhhbama

great post, glad to see this organization up and running again, it is so important not only in the present but for the future and for my daughter and her generation ad those that follow it.

I am reading Living History, Hillary is a wonderful writer, and I found her recollections of Wellesley and the total lack of any barrier to any position on the basis of gender there, class president, student organizations, debates teams, everything (naturally!!), being a very formative experience, it gave me quite a lot to think about in just the first chapter. These women graduated in the enviable position of not having perhaps the limitations inculcated into them that other women may have found in coed universities. We still arent there in universities today IMO…better I am sure, but not there yet..

Glad to hear Carly make this statement, John is lucky to have her in this role.

    BOOYAH!!

    • http://hyper-educated-uppity-woman.blogspot.com Uppity Woman

Yes he should use her to organize all the women that Barack Obama’s supporters say he doesn’t need in order to win. I think I will email the McCain campaign about that.

  • Joe Smith

Please don’t take this the wrong way but when you speak to the media have a few talking points ready. You have to point out that Obama can say what he wants to say but there is no way to know what he really stands for. How his involvement in the trinity church shows lack of good judgment and so on. There are so many reasons people will not vote for this guy. We need to point out the most obvious once.

    • shano

Yea, because sounding like a Nader supporter in 2000, you know:

“there is no difference between Bush and Gore.”

is all the rage now with a tiny segment of Clinton supporters.

We see how that turned out.

For people who know their political history:

      McCain=WORSE than Bush.

      • shano

Because inflation is always there. but when a commodity like oil is rising faster than inflation it becomes a huge problem.

Along with the weak dollar compounding the problem.

        • uhh somehow this notion that I am qualified to be president is uhh uhh ridiculous

Obama mentioned nothing about speculation. He surmised the problem is only supply and demand. When asked if the higher prices would then be a solution because it would cause less consumption, he then decided the problem is really that prices are rising too quickly.

If you are a supporter, could you please provide us with a documented coherent thought from this guy. I mean really how much lack of competence are you willing to allow?

        • http://nobho.blogspot.com/ Johnny at Work

What got me LOL was Obama coming out for a second tax rebate stimulus to offset the cost of gasoline.

He called the first tax rebate by W Bush a “gimmick”.

And, he was against the gas tax holiday. How is that tax break different from simply having a tax holiday on gasoline and diesel?

He must really think we are simpletons.

The Obots fall for that BS but not the rest of us.

    • Brendy

That’s why Obama has set up his anti-smear website. He’s worried about all those boogie-men coming out – Larry Sinclair and that ‘whitey’ tape by Michelle. He’s trying to ‘thwart’ things BEFORE they come up. He KNOWS things are out there, so he’s trying to cut ‘em off at the pass and warn his ‘followers’ of the upcoming videos and pass them off as lies (the might be but they also MIGHT NOT BE) and hopes that the country will see them as that (lies).

      • shano

  • JP49

Don’t sit up here and tell us that poor Michelle has had sexist remarks made about her. Hillary Clinton was pounced on daily, constantly on the mass news media, television, radio, newspapers, Time Magazine, Newsweek Magazine and on and one while Michelle Obama has maybe had two or three remarks made about her in the national media. A nutcracker put out by CBS. Give me a damn break. Hillary Clinton is the rightful nominee of the democratic party but the party elites and the DNC conspired to steal this election from her. Stick Obama where the sun don’t shine. He will never get my vote, he is an anti-American terrorist lover.

Can’t you just feel the tentacles of Obama reaching out and trying to infiltrate every thread of peoples lives? He is for all of us getting fingerprinted, he wants to disarm America, take down the Nukes and leaving the country defenseless and he is moving the DNC where? Chicago of all places. I have said it before and I say it again, where is all his money coming from? Where did he get all of this power where he orders around the media and takes over the Democratic Party? Where does he get off threatening the Republicans not to mention his wife? There are many serious questions about this man that needs answered.

  • David Axisrutt

Carly is of course former CEO of HP.

    http://www.hp.com/hpinfo/execteam/bios/fiorina.html

Word has it she hit a glass ceiling. You’d think she’d be more aware of situations.

    • Sluts4Hill

Carly Fiorina was one of the most incompetent CEOs in any corporation in history. Her stupid merger with Compaq was a disaster. She outsourced millions of jobs, and destroyed the research base in HP. And then, having destroyed the company, she took all the money that was left.

She’s perfect for McDepends: She is a looter. She never did anything creative or good, and only helped herself. A perfect example of capitalism.

      • David Axisrutt

That is patently not true and you know it.

      • Uppity Woman

Carly was given the task of taking over a company already in the crapper. Her job, like so many jobs I have seen given to women in corporate America, was to clean up a mess that was already made by the man before her. Her job was to recover would couldn’t be fixed in 18 months.

I watched the whole thing roll out–and not completely from the outside.

        • rwc

Save your vitriol for those who promote FGM instead of defending a wrecking ball like Carly.

For starters Fiorina a globalist, believes in off-shoring American jobs and slash and burn corporate salvaging. And the only difference between her and the idiots who gutted most of American manufacturing and tech base is that she’s a female.

Nor does it take any brains to sell off key assets and gut the workforce to make the balance sheet look good.

She’s no friend to the American worker or country for that matter. She’s more of the same poison thats been gutting our working and middle-class.

      • http://nobho.blogspot.com/ Johnny at Work

Carly, like Hillary had to deal with a lot of sexist, misogynist resistance. It was more passive agressive at HP. The Media has been unbelievably blatant with their sexism.

I have friends who worked at HP, and left when Carly was forced out. They now work at Bose.

      • Hope Floats

If she were a looter, Compaq and HP would be tits up now, but they’re not. She gets trashed regularly as having run these companies into the ground, but here they are making money. What’s up with that?

  • YoNoForObama

There was an article this morning in my newspaper that was reprinted from the Boston Globe and my husband got up in arms about it and he wrote the author. I was pretty impressed with what he wrote.
    Here it is:

    Dear Ellen:

This is from a man’s viewpoint.

Well crafted article that makes appropriate points regarding the treatment of Mrs. Clinton, i.e. women however, the VP is out of the question and women are deeply discouraged by the misogyny.

So just how is “rooting for Obama” a concrete act in direct opposition for women’s desires and women’s goals going to help them again? Oh yeah, they’re supposed to get out their rakes, and shovels to go level the playing field for the next woman after they vote for the big mound in the field.

In another words, your apologia is another “suck it up and shut up and vote for Obama.” You reached their brain but failed to touch their hearts. Nice try. They’re women, not robots. The future was now and Obama destroyed it deliberately for his own greedy “man in the room” moves. Man in the room, sit down, shut up and iron my shirt. Forget it and move on. That’s what women have been doing forever and they’ve taken it long enough and Obama is just one more stick cramming it down their throats.

Voting for him is voting against womanhood. How can you talk about the misogyny and then ask them to vote for him? It’s not just the media it is the Obama campaign and you try to deflect the misogyny of the Obama camp onto the media. Do you not see the Obama call and response in this? Where was Obama demanding that it stop? Obama represents male domination even more than George Bush. My wife and I see Obama as even more against women than Bush and we see McCain at least respecting his wife. The only woman Obama defends is his wife. The rest is just an act. Obama knows how to be PC when he is in trouble but in his heart he hated Hillary and wanted to dethrone her and took his shot at her at every turn. He had to destroy the woman to get what he wanted.

It didn’t get ugly until Obama appeared. How did you miss that fact? How does Obama respect women with his middle finger? Ignorning the crass sexism is just saying to go backwards because “they’re women and they can take it,” but from what I am hearing from the women around me is that they won’t take it anymore.

I know that on my wife’s part there will be no voting for Obama because of the way that he and his supporters have treated her and by essence all of them.

    • shano

What a load of crap. Really. I am a feminist woman over 50, and Independent and I think this is just stupid. Over the top stupid.

      • Sluts4Hill

Clinton supporters have separated their brains from the rest of reality. Over the top stupid indeed…

      • StrawberrybitesBarky

You weren’t at a caucus were you? NO WOMAN who supported Hillary at a caucus will ever forget how they were treated…ever. And none of us will vote for Obama. It would literally be like going back to a man who hit us. After FL and MI, we feel the only way to express how we feel is to vote FOR MCCAIN if they don’t ask barky to step down. If they’re smart they will. This is not sour grapes, this is about standing up for ourselves. And don’t bring up Roe/Wade. Waaaay too late for that. If reagen/bush/bush couldn’t end Roe/wade than a moderate like McCain can’t either.

        • shano

Way to be a strong woman there. I’ve had people be rude to me too, but it never made me want to vote for McNasty. (McCains real nickname in school).

the guy who drove around Florida in a convertable mustang and dated (dated?) a stripper!

Who left the disabled wife that waited for him when he was a POW for a wealthy, daughter of the Las Vegas Mafia rodeo queen.

Who himself is a compulsive gambler who has sat at the gaming tables for 16 hours straight smoking and drinking (yea, McCain used to smoke 2 packs a day)

Who who voted against the Fair Pay Act for Women.

A fascist neo-con and crony capitalist who steals land trust money from Arizona school children.

          good choice for any feminist!

          • StrawberrybitesBarky

Get over yourself. If a politician is willing to do this to fellow democrats than what else will he do? He chose the Might Makes Right Path…the GOP/Conservative path, he will be willing to do anything to anyone, including you. I refuse to allow my party to be just like the Republicans, so if in the short run, we elect a lame duck republican POTUS than so be it. But Barky could be a real man and step down before the republicans tear him down and stand a chance of running again. But if he continues down this path, he will lose AND be exposed as the lying, thugging, brute he is by the republicans.

            • shano

Excuse me, but MARK PENN lost this election for Hillary. The Obama team ran a better campaign according to the rules. Hillary Clinton knows this. that is the reason she is endorsing Barack Obama.

Mr. Obama won by the current Democratic Party rules. I do not see how that has anything to do with the gop.

btw, I am on the RW email lists, and they would have torn Clinton to bits too. They have been practicing the Clinton hate for 8 long years, when it was not even relevent-now that is dedicated hate by the RW.

You all seem to think Hillary would have a shoo-in election in November? Thats funny, knowing the right wing Hillary hate of the GOP.

              • StrawberrybitesBarky

                Did you say something?

          • Susan1968

            shano–

How much does the Obama campaign pay you for this bull?

Mustangs. Stripper. Smoked 2 packs a day.

Are these the new talking points from the Barack “Stinky Feet” Obama War Room.

Seriously. How much do you make?

            • http://nobho.blogspot.com/ Johnny at Work

Obama does not pay anybody. That way he can say “they are not working for me or my campaign” as he throws them under the bus.

          • Brendy

Maybe McCain ought to set himself up an ‘anti-smear’ website, too, like Obummer. What McCain did was things that concerned HIM personally; he wasn’t friends with an unrepentent American bomber/terrorist (Ayres) or he didn’t belong to a church that for over 20 years taught hatred for the white man and for America – now, THOSE things are directed AT Americans. And, Obama’s wife – with her ‘sweet’ way and her ‘kind’ words for Americans? Not very good presidential material!

      • Hope Floats

Oh. Talk about a load of crap. A feminist does not tell women how to think or vote. We don’t go on the many pro-Obama sites and trash him. People came here to escape people such as yourself…

I bet you’re a 50 YO woman. “I can swing my saggy tits over my shoulder, so listen to me.” Give it a fucking rest. You’re the stupid one if you think telling women to roll over is feminism.

  • candymarl

on edit: Obama supporters are no longer blaming Bush and Cheney.

    • shano

Wrong. We blamed Bush/Cheney all along.

McCain is for continuing this war, and every failed other Bush policy I dont see any Obama supporters saying they will vote for McCain.

      • Hope Floats

They threatened to stay home if Clinton “stole” the nomination, and that is as good as voting for McCain.

  • YoNoForObama

Barky himself said he wouldn’t know how he would have handled a vote on the Iraq war so stop placing all the blame on one individual.

RUSSERT: You were not in the Senate in October of 2002. You did give a speech opposing the war. But Sen. Clinton’s campaign will say since you’ve been a senator there’s been no difference in your record. And other critics will say that you’ve not been a leader against the war, and they point to this: In July of ’04, Barack Obama, “I’m not privy to Senate intelligence reports. What would I have done? I don’t know,” in terms of how you would have voted on the war. And then this: “There’s not much of a difference between my position on Iraq and George Bush’s position at this stage.” That was July of ’04. And this: “I think” there’s “some room for disagreement in that initial decision to vote for authorization of the war.” It doesn’t seem that you are firmly wedded against the war, and that you left some wiggle room that, if you had been in the Senate, you may have voted for it.

OBAMA: Now, Tim, that first quote was made with an interview with a guy named Tim Russert on “Meet the Press” during the (2004 Democratic National) convention when we had a nominee for the presidency and a vice president, both of whom had voted for the war. And so it probably was the wrong time for me to be making a strong case against our party’s nominees’ decisions when it came to Iraq.

But wait. Wasn’t it Obama who’s been criticizing other Democrats, specifically Clinton, for triangulation, calculating quotes and saying different things to different audiences to avoid alienating any potential voters?

Apparently many people never took advantage of the great opportunity we all have to better educate ourselves in this great country. Some love to spout their so-called knowledge of politics and the way the system works yet they have not one damn clue how it in facts functions!

Those that voted for the resolution to authorize force against Iraq NEVER voted to go to WAR! read the damn documents, maybe if you took the time to understand what that legislation was meant to convey, you would not open your stupid mouth and make silly charges. What you are repeating are talking points silly. You are too stupid to realize when you are being used. You are the same people that by that crap on late night infomercials then bitch when it wont work!

many voted for that legislation because they were assured that Bush would go to the UN and work through them. If you remember correctly that is exactly what he said he would do. grow the fuck up and do your research.
You are the same people that believe Obama has GREAT Judgement because he gave a speech in a HEAVLY lIBERAL setting to a crowd of anti war activist. Where was the fuckin courage in that?
That is like giving a Pro Barney speech to preschoolers. No courage no balls.
As soon as Obama got to the Senate he VOTED with Bush on 99 percent of the bills sent that had to do with the war. Where was his vaunted Judgement and courage then? Bullshit!

    • shano

Did you watch the Dem debates? Because Mr. Obama answered this question.

Once the bus was in the ditch there was no safe way possible to get it out with Bush in office. Mr. Obama cares about the troops enough to be realistic about managing a carefull withdrawl.

      • Susan1968

        shano —

You need to read ALL of Obama’s flip-flopping positions on Iraq dating back to 2003.

And you won’t find the info on BO’s website.

I hate to break it to you shano — but BO is the epitome of a pandering politician.

        Take off the blinders, sweetie.

        • shano

No McCain is the master of flop. Flop sweat and flip-flop.

          • Hope Floats

McCain changes his opinion. Obama says whatever is politically expedient at the moment.

          • Patricia

McCain is a real hero, what has Obama ever done besides rip up the Democratic Party and
cause people to hate each other, until he came along we had a great chance of winning the Whitehouse. What will he run on his record?!! what record, he sure can’t use the Clinton’s great years since he has tried to destroy them, Just remember what he has done to others, he will do to you if you get in his way!!

  • http://Reddragon62.blogspot.com/ RedDragon62

Oh I see. That is his story and he is sticking to it!

    • shano

Yes, Mr. Obama states we must be as careful getting out as we were careless going into Iraq.

Any sane person would see the common sense of this statement of Mr. Obama. Cleaning up a huge complicated mess is not the same as creating one in the first place.

I was a Dodd supporter, so i have no skin in this game except that I think fellow Democrats should stop lying about Mr. Obama. Hillary Clinton is supporting Barack, and he is going to help retire her campaign debt.

Mr. Johnson is doing the progressive movement no good.

My opinion on the tape: she is pandering well. It’s nice to be pandered for a change.
We can’t possibly forget the abuse we’ve been put through by Obama’s cohorts – because here they are – not letting go.
And now I know that all the insults – in the media, on the internet were directed at us by the Obama campaign – the B0bots were NEVER free agents. And for that, B0 will never see our votes. Will McCain? It’s a long time until November – we’ll decide then.
But the more B0bots intrude on our sites, the more aggressive and obnoxious they get, the more they push us towards McCain.

  • shano

Larry Johnson is using the Clinton supporters in the most vile way, imho.
By using the subterfuge that he is merely against Obama, he is leading Democrats to the Republican table to be eaten alive.

He is pandering to their sense of loss. Larry knows how elections go, he knows that if he can get enough of the sad Clinton voters to switch to McCain he can keep the war going.

Larry Johnson will have blood on his hand if McCain happens to get in office. Not the whole buckets of blood. But blood non-the-less.

He is using my fellow Democrats in the most grevious way. I hope the Clintons will talk to him about this.

Hillary Clinton is supporting Barack Obama.

I suspect Mr. Johnson is that generation who will never accept a person of color, even if his policy proposals are 95% of what he has been advocating for a year or so. This used to be a good blog before he became a Democratic traitor.

    • StrawberrybitesBarky

Oh shut it, oh bitter and sexually repressed one. No one reads your crap anymore. We’re just scrolling through your rants. You’re the weirdo on the corner screaming “The end is near!”. Oy. Take it to KOS. They’ll love you for it.

    • candymarl

That’s the nice thing about democracy. Hillary may support whomever she wishes. The rest of us are also free to choose. Not being sheep or lemmings we can make up our own minds.

By the way saying someone has a problem with a person of color and calling them a racist is the same thing. You’re just using more words. Being a person of color I know this.

      Have a nice day.

PS. Democrats are going to be eaten alive? Republicans have all turned into zombies? Who knew?

      • StrawberrybitesBarky

Candy, it rubs the lotion on it’s skin or else it gets the hose again. This one needs male attention…badly. Don’t feed it.

        • candymarl

Gotcha. On ignore. But I must admit it’s fun. Sigh.

    • Brendy

Gosh! I thought we lived in America and are free to chose whom we want to vote for or freely write/blog our opinions – even Larry Johnson! What nerve you have in accusing him of ‘using’ democrats or that he ‘will have blood on his hand if McCain happens to get in office.’ And, I like (and voted for Hillary) but who do YOU think Hillary IS with your statement – “I hope the Clintons will talk to him about this.”? I bet, secretly, Hillary would say ‘keep up the good work, Larry!”

Boy, Obama has you cultists trained very well, doesn’t he? Try to shut down and control those whose opinions differ from yours and his.

You have to admit, Axelrod ran a hell of a better campaign than Mark Penn. If Hillary had Axelrod she would have won this primary.
          Mark Penn was a rube.

          • Hope Floats

Axelrod had a Deval Patrick strategy for Obama. It would not have worked for Hillary Clinton. It didn’t even work for Obama. The 50 state strategy of Howard Dean’s was a nightmare. It was for downticket Dems at the expense of unity. If you think this was a good campaign that Obama ran, then go to his forums and high five the other idiots.

In a remarkable denial issued last November that still stands on the official campaign website, Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs issued a statement explaining that “Senator Obama has never been a Muslim, was not raised as a Muslim, and is a committed Christian.”

    here is Obama’s moslem brother

    http://web.israelinsider.com/Articles/Politics/12918.htm

    • shano

Thats correct. Mr. Obamas mother was an agnostic and was only with Obamas father for a couple of years.
Why would an agnostic mother be concerned about religion for her kids?

For some people, like Obamas mother, this question of organized religion is not at all important.

      • candymarl

Obama’s mother was an agnostic? Then how is he going to convince the Evangelicals he’s on their side? According to totally non-critical reports in the MSM he’s courting them.

Is he an agnostic or a committed Christian? Is he an Evangelical?

Why would an agnostic attend Jeremiah Wright’s church for 20 years by his own account?

But it seems he spent a good part of his developing years with his grandparents. They weren’t agnostics. Or were they?

Tune in tomorrow for the ever evolving story of the life of Barack Obama.

      • Brendy

I believe Obama’s mother was an athiest, and as you say – “was only with Obamas father for a couple of years.” THAT is until she married ANOTHER MUSLIM (Obama’s step-dad); so Obama was around Muslims and the Muslim religion quite a long time. I’m sure you know this, and this is why you left this part out.

Obama’s mom must’ve had a thing for blacks and MUSLIMS; makes one wonder what she had against WHITE, CHRISTIAN AMERICAN men.

  • janicen

    Brilliant! I love Carly!

The Republican party is the ONLY party reaching out to us. The Democrats insist we’ll “fall in line” and have decided to rig their primary to appease African Americans assuming that women will tolerate the disrespect and misogyny. Well, we won’t. The Republicans are reaching out, and we’re accepting the kindness.

    • http://nobho.blogspot.com/ Johnny at Work

That is the problem Dukakis had. Women wanted to go out with him, but it was Reagan who asked them to the dance.

The Dems think women will still go out with them. Maybe some will, but McCain has asked them to the dance, and I am hearing the women say they are accepting his offer.

  • Susan1968

    shano —

I’m forwarding all your posts to the press as an example of Obama supporters online garbage.

How much does Obama pay you for this?

  • mimi

A waste of good thread.. Way too much arguing with the trolls. Once or twice, maybe, but it went on and on and on and on…

they’re not worth so much attention!

  • SJ

One man’s garbage is another man’s treasure, that is how it is with the woman vote.

The DNC and Obama did not need us, now McCain is calling us with open arms, he is reaching out and has never ever said a bad word about Hillary, he has always respected and admired all that she tried to accomplish.

It will be hard for women to ignore that and give Obama and the DNC their votes, to late is the cry now Obama and Dean should of thought of all this when they were all dealing in their back rooms as to how to destroy Hillary and her nomination bid.

  • http://Reddragon62.blogspot.com/ RedDragon62

    How true Mimi.
Earlier i made that mistake. I got into some posting kung fu with a troll. Although my Kung fu was better than his kung fu, i came out the loser. Why? Because I fed the damn creature! they live on it. They post their Diarrhea and then when you respond, they clip it and run to whatever shithole they came out of and say, “See. I told you they were all racist old remnants! We need to purge em”!

I know sometimes a response is warranted. But to go on and on. It tends to dumb the conversation down and that my friends IS what they want!

you know, I’m just saying. :-)

  • http://Reddragon62.blogspot.com/ RedDragon62

Do you guys remember how AOL used to have their chat rooms? I’m wondering why we cannot do something like that with these threads. Maybe you can, I’m not that great with Computers, but wouldn’t that be better than threads? I dunno, just thinking out loud.

  • http://nobho.blogspot.com/ Johnny at Work

I don’t mind the trolls. It shows us what reresents the Obama constituency, and as we could have guessed, the folks are not to bright, and plenty gullible.

And from the tone of their language, they are plenty scared.

For anyone who doubts that Obama had a Muslim upbringing and has Muslim roots, read the following from one of his fans at the New York Times.

““I was a little Jakarta street kid,” he said in a wide-ranging interview in his office (excerpts are on my blog, http://www.nytimes.com/ontheground). He once got in trouble for making faces during Koran study classes in his elementary school, but a president is less likely to stereotype Muslims as fanatics — and more likely to be aware of their nationalism — if he once studied the Koran with them.

Mr. Obama recalled the opening lines of the Arabic call to prayer, reciting them with a first-rate accent. In a remark that seemed delightfully uncalculated (it’ll give Alabama voters heart attacks), Mr. Obama described the call to prayer as “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset.”

    http://select.nytimes.com/2007/03/06/opinion/06kristof.html?_r=1&scp=5&sq=nicholas+kristof+obama&st=nyt&oref=slogin

The issue is not that Obama was once a Muslim, it that he now lies about it.

  • Word

Since Shano is an active HRC fan (and not paid by the Obama campaign to post here) I fully expect him to be advocating for her to be VP on the Obama ticket. I mean, since they were essentially tied by both sides’ standards, Shano would probably agree to that as fair, right?

And, we are happy to hear that Shano will be lobbying hard for a roll call at the DNC so that women can finally vote for a woman candidate, albeit more experienced than the presumed male nominee.

    • Hope Floats

It’s funny everyone assumes shano is a man, but he said earlier he’s a 50 YO woman and a feminist.

Veteran here. Why don’t you enlist in the war Hillary started while being one of 100 members of the Senate. Oh yeah and then there was was that pesky Congress. Apparently Bush, Cheney, the Senate (except for Hillary) and the Congress all left town and she started the whole thing by herself.

John Kerry and John Edwards voted the same way she did. I don’t remember anyone placing the entire blame for Iraq on their shoulders.

I remember liberals/progressives placing the blame squarely where it belonged. In the lap of an administration that was willing to twist intelligence and the truth.

I guess Hillary was President through all of this. It’s funny how now Obama supporters are no longer Bush and Cheney. They’re not even blaming McCain. It’s all Hillary’s fault. Well, if that’s true and McCain is an innocent then what’s the beef with voting for him?
