Guess Which Video Has Gone Viral Amongst Republicans?

I’ve received at least five copies of this during the past week — and another one today — from neighbors and acquaintances who are Republicans. They’re having so much fun mocking Obama. You regulars will remember this one, but it’s worth posting again. Not just because 740,000+ people have viewed this video (and more the other copies online). But because it’s a sobering reminder of the problem that all Obama supporters face: What has he accomplished that they can point to?

It’ll be interesting to see if — instead of their typical tantrums or put-downs of the rest of us — the interloper Obamabots who drop in here are actually capable of presenting a rational, irrefutable presentation of Obama’s experience and accomplishments.

We’re waiting.

And waiting.

And waiting.

Snooooooozzzzzze.

As Hillary famously once said, one speech does not a candidate make.

Particularly when that 2002 speech was so insignificant at the time that not one single news outlet in Chicago recorded or filmed Obama’s speech. Which is why Obama’s campaign had to recreate his speech in a studio.

Oh, to think of all those ‘bots admiring Obama’s brave speech in the utterly safe environs of the highly liberal section of Chicago near the University of Chicago — but so unimportant at the time that not a soul recorded it.

Nor do we have any proof that the recreated speech is indeed the speech he professes to have made in 2002.

That was one of the last times I watched Tweety, I admit I admired his going after the senator that night.

  • Uppity Woman

I love that one. That guy is such a tool.

There’s another one with a focus group where they ask the same question and the kids are actually saying I PASS. Hahahah

  • scorbs

Well, the obamabots can just go and cut and paste off Obama’s website, all ready to eat material, about his supposed “accomplishments” which have been vetted and debunked by factcheck.org. They found his accomplishments to be inflated and deceptive.

People who vote Obama just want “change” and they have no idea what it means, nor do they care. This candidate is the worst I’ve ever seen; we’re getting foisted on us someone who is so bush-like it is hard to understand what is wrong with his supporters.

  • missE

    Bueller?….Bueller?…..Bueller?

  • tampagurl

I often ask the people I know that are Obama supporters, why they support him. They tell me he inspires them, I ask them what he inspires them to do and they have no answer but they continue to say he will bring peace and prosperity to our country. I ask them how and they still have no answer. I may have been born at night but it wasn’t last night, I want to know how, what, when, and where. Words are cheap!

  • catherine

Obama has been chair of a committee on Afghanistan and has done NOTHING!!! He has been too busy campaigning and manipulating the rules and voters than doing his job in the senate. And some want this man to be our next president! Sad and scary.

  • grtphoto

Oh, what a great piece, I remember seeing that live and laughing my rear off. Yeah, what a tool. Too bad tweety only hammered the messiah that time, has he since gone after anyone like this?
Hell yes, it’s a problem like tweety says, I just don’t want it to become the nations problem as well.
    NOBAMA 08.

  • pasmalltowngirl

Well huh, Quess he can’t answer that question because Obama basically has no accomplishments. Oh wait, he does have one. Leading millions of people to get on his bus and drink the kool-aid. But then again he is copying someone else. Jim Jones the cult leader, who in 1978 brainwashed and convinced over 900 people to drink the cyanide-laced grape flavor aid.

  • PKJayne

Uppity I saw that one too!

  • tampagurl

I agree…sad and scary! Some of these people up his butt are grown ups…go figure.

  • Freedom Fighter

You guys are stuck on old DC style politics. As if passing a bill for your lobbyist friends means accomplishment. Barack had worked as a community organizer, he works directly with the people. He represnts a new kind of politics, not inside the beltway business as usual.

  • Cindy

Kirk is an old friend of ours, used to be a really great guy, an experienced civil trial attorney, and former mayor of Austin (Texas). But, he broke our hearts when he sold out to the Austin liberal nazi-corps, who villify any Democrat who is not as “liberal” as they.
Kirk really got a big political boost from another old friend, Ann Richards. That’s why it’s unforgivable that all of these Texas political guys who were mentored by Ann (like Rep. Lloyd Doggett, Ron Kirk, etc.) completely SOLD OUT just to be part of the cool crowd. Ann would vomit if she could see what they’ve done!

  • Cindy

    and Molly Ivins, too!!

  • tampagurl

Community organizer? That’s an accomplishment. Are you for real?

  • catherine

Exactly. I get the same responses. I’m truly alarmed at the dropping IQ’s and rising hate in the younger generation we’re now witnessing.

  • catherine

Oh please- get real- What Obama offers is a new kind of politics called “Chicago” style and we all know the corruption that is part of Chicago politics. Ask any Chicago reporter. Compared to Hillary and McCain Obama has accomplished NOTHING. Face the truth or drink the koolaid.

  • DeniseB

Maybe he should have remained a community organizer. The job of a legislator is to legislate, isn’t it? Or do you think he ran on a platform of NOT legislating?

  • WasLNbutNoBamaBotsKeepStealingMyName

Yes, a new kind of politics alright…proclaiming himself the nominee, taking over the DNC and moving it to one of the most politically corrupt cities in the nation, party to disenfranchising millions of voters through repugnant strong-arm caucus tactics, flipping off his opponent, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, in two debates…I could go on.

    America be warned!

  • Andrew

Obama worked as a community organizer while he was chilling with terrorist friends and listening to racist preachers. There is no such thing a new kind of politics. Politics has been around a long time and it hasn’t changed. What makes you think some lying, racist bastard (literally) is going to change the politics. His new politics is old Chicago politics where you promise the sky and deliver nothing. He has no plan, no substance, nothing but a nasty faced racist wife and a gang of crazy friends.

  • NotProObama

    Funny!!!

  • Cindy

    So, you’re FIGHTING freedom?
    Well,then, job well done!

  • tampagurl

Absolutely right Andrew. Anybody can be a community organizer, even a terrorist!

  • Joe

I love the sound of speechless Obamabots in the evening. Sorry, but proclaiming “hope and change” won’t obscure BO’s pitifully thin resume – what a freaking joke!

  • Poor White

i am curious how come this dick head Chris Matthews start supporting Obama even after knowing Obama has no accomplishments

  • Lil’ Mike

Someone please define for me what a “community organizer” is. Give me the job description and the qualifications needed. Oh, and while you’re at it, list for me Obama’s accomplishments as a “community organizer.”

  • catherine

He works directly with the people blah blah blah.

WHAT HAS HE ACCOMPLISHED TO HELP PEOPLE?????

All of his community organizing was with questionable organizations associated with Bill Ayers such as chairmanship of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge which Ayers set up in the 90′s.

Obama’s “community organizing” has always been under the patronage of radical hate mongers such as Ayers, Wright and Pfleger. Do your homework first before you attempt to hoodwink and indoctrinate those of us who have done a thorough research on the candidates.

  • Freedom Fighter

Senator Obama has authored 152 bills in 2 years, while Hillary authored 20 in 6 years. I bet you guys can’t name any Hillary accomplishments either, other than being first lady.

  • http://hyper-educated-uppity-woman.blogspot.com Uppity Woman

    Oh how I miss Molly.

  • Donald from Hawaii

Speaking as a die-hard Clinton supporter who will heed her endorsement of Barack Obama, with due regard to Sen. Obama’s well-perceived and obvious shortcomings — so what?

At this point in time, I’ll more than gladly take my chances on a relative unknown and political longshot. I simply will no longer vote for the Republicans for any office at any level of government, for the following four reasons:

    (1) The GOP’s political karma has clearly become noxious and toxic, in due accordance to its repeated pandering to right-wing extremism.

    (2) The Republicans knowingly and intentionally misled the American people regarding their rationale for war with Iraq. Having lost my father in the Vietnam War, I consider such criminal acts of national fraud that lead to unnecessary loss of American lives to be analogous to high treason.

    (3) The Republicans’ collective irresponsibility over the past 15 years in repeatedly leading our country to the precipice of political calamity — starting with their beating a dead horse called “Whitewater”, through two 1995 government shutdowns, the Monica Lewinsky affair, the Florida 2000 election debacle and the clusterfuck of their response to Hurricane Katrina — has more than exhausted my now-extremely limited patience.

    (4) The GOP’s appalling lack of intellectual honesty, political forthrightness and ethical candor in the face of serious national and international adversity has duly undermined their own elected officials’ credibility on both the national and world stages.

Thus, the Republican Party and its candidates forfeit any right to further political consideration on my part for the foreseeable future.

    Aloha.

  • catherine

This has come up before. He did not “author” these bills as most educated people understand authoring- he had his name associated with them but was not in any way the main writer or a significant contributer.

  • Donald from Hawaii

    Don’t be so patently disingenuous.

  • deerestfriend

I’ll bet the South Side of Chicago is an oasis now, a paradise on earth, after the hope and change he brought to the citizens. NOT!

  • http://hyper-educated-uppity-woman.blogspot.com Uppity Woman

Well he DID pass that bill about Exelon’s nuclear leaks. The neighbors asked him to make sure Exelon notifies them the next time they accidentally mutate something. But by the time the bill came to a vote, it was changed so that Exelon can VOLUNTARILY notify the neighbors in the event of a leak. If they feel like it. Nice guy! But hey, Exelon is one of his top ten contributors, so what’s a little radiation among friends!

  • WasLNbutNoBamaBotsKeepStealingMyName
  • Freedom Fighter

Obama authored more bills than Hillary ever did as senators. Obama was also against the war from the start. Hillary’s negative tactics, including race baiting turned many voters off. Look like Chris Matthews didn’t approve of Hillary campaign’s dirty tactics either.

  • tampagurl

Your choice..no one here is telling you who to vote for. We are telling you who we will not vote for.

  • ginamc

BO hasn’t even gotten better as time has progressed during the Primary season. That’s probably why he’s being such a wuss to debate mcCain — pitiful. Hillary would’ve signed up for ALL 10 debates and then some!

  • ginamc

I saw that one, I’m from Texas and Hill used it in one of her Ads. I really believe that was the nail in BO’s coffin in Texas.

  • WasLNbutNoBamaBotsKeepStealingMyName

How can you say “so what?” about a man who keeps hiding his past, who has associations with a whole cast of despicable characters, who has just hijacked the DNC and who said that he will sit down with some of the most notorious leaders of the most corrupt governments on the planet?

    Give me a break!

McCain would have NEVER asked Hillary to meet for those Town halls. Even McCain inner circle knew she would beat him in a landslide. That was why the famous clip of one of McCain supporters asking “What do we do about the bitch?” exists. There was only one way the Democrats could possibly lose this Presidential election…and damn if the morons didn’t decide to do it!

Not true. According to factcheck.org Obama authored 129 and Clinton 358. (That’s 43 per year for Obama, 51.1 per year for Clinton). You have a right to your opinion but not your own “facts.”

A little off-topic, but here’s more proof of Obama’s total and complete arrogance:

    http://www.usatoday.com/news/politics/election2008/2008-06-12-fundraisers_N.htm

    Choice quote from article:

Rendell, who plans to campaign on Obama’s behalf and raise money for him, said tonight’s event in Philadelphia is a joint fundraiser for Obama and the cash-strapped Democratic National Committee.

But in a sign of the urgency to raise campaign cash, Rendell said Obama didn’t want to reschedule tonight’s fundraiser, even though the governor warned him that many Philadelphia donors were headed to the New Jersey shore for the weekend. Rendell said Obama told him: “We don’t need the people. We just need the checks.”

  • catherine

Thanks so much for providing this facts-check link. It is very helpful when those who drink the koolaid think their guy has had accomplishments- none of which Kirk could name on national TV.

  • DoroB

” As if passing a bill for your lobbyist friends means accomplishment. ”

Just so you know, Obama DID try to pass a bill for his lobbyist friend Exelon, the one that watered down nuclear reporting requirements, but the bill didn’t pass…

Anyway, who needs legislative accomplishments when one can offer hope and change, right?

  • tampagurl

One thing Obama did was vote present 150 times to avoid making a yes or no vote. If you don’t stand for something you will fall for anything!

  • Skip

Ivins was no fan of Hillary, wrote an “anyone but Hillary” article not long before her passing, but she may have taken on the grotesque distortions that went on in the primary campaign.

  • obamaphobe

Obama has obviously done nothing in his own backyard, (Oh, except for that corrupt deal with Rezko that gave him a backyard). Why would anyone with any rationale at all, think he will do anything for them.

    CNN.com article from Jan 1, 2004 stated:

“CHICAGO, Illinois (AP) — Despite a sharp drop in homicides, Chicago has regained a title it didn’t want: America’s murder capital.

The city finished 2003 with 599 homicides, police said Thursday. That was down from 648 a year earlier and the first time since 1967 that the total dipped below 600.

Still, the nation’s third-largest city outpaced all others for the second time in three years. New York, with about three times the population, ended the year with 596 homicides. Los Angeles, which had the most murders in 2002 at 658, wound up 2003 with an estimated total just under 500.

Chicago’s new police superintendent, Philip J. Cline, joined colleagues elsewhere in blaming homicides largely on a volatile mix of gangs, guns and drugs.”

Wow…looking forward to what Barack can do for me!!!!

  • DoroB

Umm…I think you need to lay off the Kool-Aid.

  • catherine

This is like the Obama was educated in a madrassa email that circulated although that’s a lot more accurate than this trash you’re posting. So you get your “facts” from the daily kos and mybarackobama, huh? No wonder you’re an idiot!

    Here’s some FACTS!

Years in Senate? Obama 3 Clinton 7

Bills sponsored? Obama 129 Clinton 358

Bills passed by Senate? Obama 7 Clinton 32

Bills signed into Law? Obama 2 Clinton 19

Sponsored per year? Obama 43 Clinton 51.1

  • PKJayne

  • catherine

This is horrible. Just horrible and so typical of Obama who cherry picked states and cities to campaign in all primary season. He didn’t care about the people (especially the poor and rural), just the strategy to win the state. Thanks for sharing this sad but revealing piece. I wonder if it will make MSM? My heart aches for all of us Democrats who really wanted to be proud of our nominee. Obama is a disgrace.

  • PKJayne

    Larry,
I think we need to post on a permanent basis Obama’s senate victory speech of 2004. It shows without doubt that Obama thought that he wasn’t experienced enough to be president. He even mentioned that He would have to start running immediately without gaining any real experience as a senator.

  • obamaphobe

Hillary created a teacher recruitment program to bring outstanding teachers into low-income communities.
She sponsored legislation to grow childcare funding to $11.2 billion.
She fought off dramatic cuts to Medicaid and SCHIP.
She passed legislation with Lindsay Graham for expanded health services for military families.
She made sure that six million children have health insurance through the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP).
She fought for and won health benefits for our troops in the National Guard and Reserves.
She fought to preserve combat pay for injured National Guard and Reserve soldiers and passed a law establishing health tracking for returning soldiers.
She passed the Kids Car and Safety Act.
She successfully stopped efforts by the FDA to keep Plan B off the market.
She led the effort to get rid of the head of the FDA.
She held the Senate’s first committee ever on environmental justice.
She fought to extend unemployment benefits, and won.
She successfully advocated for education reform.
She fought to make abortion safe, legal and rare.
She wrote and secured passage of legislation to assist family caregivers in accessing affordable and high quality respite care.
She fought to make sure the medicines we give our children are safe.
She was the first US Senator to label what was happening in Darfur genocide.
Her work on behalf of the environment and the health of first responders after 9/11 is nothing short of heroic.
She fought for and got enhanced body armor for our troops.
She got the Pentagon to respond to the Congress in terms of planning for Iraq withdrawal. The list goes on.

I am sure all those Republicans in Hawaii are scared to death. Donald takes down the evil GOP in Hawaii. How many conservatives do you have in your great State? A couple of dozen? For those asking about Obama being a communist organizer, google Saul Alinsky and you will get an idea of who inspired Obama. I have yet to understand how Barry thinks this is a strong point. Of course with a thin resume like his you have to mention something. Obama is a fraud, and will be exposed before the fall election.

  • Dora Ratquila

To me, the main issue why I never considered voting for Barack Obama (even after my preferred candidate’s wholehearted and unequivocal endorsement) was his lack of courage and consistency on an issue. This became all more apparent when the incendiary sermons of Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Father Pflager became public. Why did he have to claim that he is a modern-day Rip van Winkle who never saw or heard Wright make those damning claims against this country and its leaders? One reason: He’s a wuss and a political opportunist. Given his lack of cojones and trustworthiness, he is supremely unfit to become Chief Executive of our 50 states of the Union.

Freedom Fighter you’re an idiot. Obama doesn’t know how he would have voted because he wasn’t a senator at the time of the war vote. He admits it himself and says his position is “more like George Bush”. So since GB’s position was to go to war what does that tell you about Snarfbama? Again, you’re an idiot!

RUSSERT: You were not in the Senate in October of 2002. You did give a speech opposing the war. But Sen. Clinton’s campaign will say since you’ve been a senator there’s been no difference in your record. And other critics will say that you’ve not been a leader against the war, and they point to this: In July of ’04, Barack Obama, “I’m not privy to Senate intelligence reports. What would I have done? I don’t know,” in terms of how you would have voted on the war. And then this: “There’s not much of a difference between my position on Iraq and George Bush’s position at this stage.” That was July of ’04. And this: “I think” there’s “some room for disagreement in that initial decision to vote for authorization of the war.” It doesn’t seem that you are firmly wedded against the war, and that you left some wiggle room that, if you had been in the Senate, you may have voted for it.

OBAMA: Now, Tim, that first quote was made with an interview with a guy named Tim Russert on “Meet the Press” during the (2004 Democratic National) convention when we had a nominee for the presidency and a vice president, both of whom had voted for the war. And so it probably was the wrong time for me to be making a strong case against our party’s nominees’ decisions when it came to Iraq.

But wait. Wasn’t it Obama who’s been criticizing other Democrats, specifically Clinton, for triangulation, calculating quotes and saying different things to different audiences to avoid alienating any potential voters?

    From: http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/413/

A side-by-side tally of Clinton’s and Obama’s legislative output on Thomas shows Clinton has sponsored 635 bills and co-sponsored 2,441 more since she was elected in 2000, 54 of which became law. Obama has sponsored 272 and co-sponsored another 834 since he was elected in 2004, 16 of which became law.

So in an apples-to-apples comparison of bills written and co-sponsored, it’s Clinton: 3,076; Obama: 1,106.

The interesting thing is that Rendell actually reported this to the press.

Rendell is no fool. He knew it will be picked up… NOT BY THE DUMB MEDIA.. but by his own apparatus in the state. It is just like the shermanesque comment of Strickland. i.e. Mr. Nobama, you are not welcome here, we will raise a few bucks for you to keep up the appearences but don’t expect anything else.

In fact if you read carefully, the Chicago move of DNC includes the taking over of the state operations of the 50 states program of screaming Dean form the state democratic party. That means two things, the nobama people are not too sure of the cooperation of the state democratic apparatuses and secondly the state people are not going to like much that their staff is being handled through chicago instead of locally.

And what about the local staff, you think they are going to take orders from chicago that easy? And piss of their local bosses? Remember, they have to live with the local leaders long after nobama returns to libya or kenya or whereever he is from.

    Bye Bye Pennsylvania!

    Comment by Gabriele Droz | 2008-06-14 19:58:28

About the comments posted by Gabriele Droz above, If Obama really said “We don’t need the people. We just need the checks,” this gives me a big question mark.

Why does he say he does not need the poeploe but the money? it sounds as if he is very sure of winning the election in November.

Now, we’ve been learning about the process for SELECTING Obama is systematic, it’s been a very detailed plan from the beginning of this primary.

I really believe that the voting machine in November – the “Diebold” (i’m not sure if this name is correct, but it’s close enough) – might have already been fixed to choose Obama. This could be a part of his plan.

I hope this thought will be a mistake, but by seeing all Obama’s dirty, tricky tactics, I’m not sure.

Can we trust the voting machine? Do we all have paper traits for voting in our 50 states?

I want everyone on this board running their mouths to tell me the legislative accomplishments of the U.S. Representative or their U.S. Senator without looking them up.

Otherwise, you’re a hypocrite for criticizing this guy for not knowing Obama’s, as if this guy doesn’t have a schedule as busy as any other person working in Government. I wonder how the people in his Senate district would feel if all he did all day was study Obama’s “LEGISLATIVE ACCOMPLISHMENTS.”

What a stupid freaking question, just meant to be provocative for the MAJORITY OF AMERICANS who have too weak of critical thinking skills to understand the nuances of the situation.

It’s not his job to know the answer to that question. He’s a SUPPORTER of Obama’s, not a member of his inner circle, for crying out loud. He’s also too busy trying to make his own legislative accomplishments.

And I speak as someone who doesn’t support Obama, Clinton, or McCain.

Edwards polled the best against the GOP candidates from the beginning of the campaign to the end of it. Democrats should have gone with the southerner, and saved the “female” (sexism) v. “black” (racism) stupidity until 2016.

I want you all to know that come Nov. I will be voting striaght down the Republican ticket. I am voting for them all. • NY still loves Hillary

Nor do we have any proof that the recreated speech is indeed the speech he professes to have made in 2002.

Based on the accuracy of everything else Obama has stated to date, I would safely presume that the original “is not the speech Barack remembers”, and he has safely thrown the original speech under the bus, where it was quickly joined by everyone he has ever met, and everyone he never cares to meet.

  • NY still loves Hillary

Most of the regular posters at No Quarter could easily spout off a list of Senator Clinton’s accomplishments without looking them up, but they generally add sources to avoid the inevitable whining by Obamatots that will follow. We support Senator Clinton because we did our homework before deciding, unlike the vast majority of Obama supporters, who literally cannot say anything more convincing than “I like what he stands for”, which they cannot define.

  • Queen81

actually hillary sponsered a very important piece of legistation along with republicans. it was for improvements to enhanced 911. what that means btw for the not so bright obamabots, is that we would further invest on 911 systems to ensure that when you are in trouble, and barack won’t help you…as he has said “i don’t need the people, only their checkbooks”..that the local police and fire officials can come rescue you…that my friends is homeland security on the frontlines!

She is SO informed and asks the right questions and delivers the right kind of support when it’s needed…I could go on and on.

    I wouldn’t disagree.

On substantive positions SPELLED OUT, the top 3 Democrats ranked as: 1) Edwards, 2) Clinton, and 3) Obama.

Edwards had to be about ISSUES because he had nothing else going for him. He didn’t have ovaries nor was he black with an eccentric name.

Go out and walk through the country or West Virginia and rural Pennsylvania and ask them to give you a list of Clinton’s “LEGISLATIVE ACCOMPLISHMENTS,” since they voted for her by large numbers, and they won’t have a clue.

Many voted for her because she wasn’t Obama, because she was white, and because she was a woman. That’s no more intelligent than voted for Obama because he “moves you.”

Clinton and Obama’s campaigns were always about “IMAGE AND SYMBOLISM,” instead of “ISSUES AND SUBSTANCE.” The media made sure it was that way, and since it was, Edwards, Biden, Dodd, and Kucinich never had a chance.

  • framecop

Of course this post is not a joke.

The point is, just because a supporter can’t SPOUT OUT A LIST OF ACCOMPLISHMENTS does not mean that a candidate has no accomplishments.

If I ask you to give me Hillary Clinton’s HOME PHONE NUMBER (i.e., Obama’s accomplishments), if you (supporter) can’t do it, does that mean she DOESN’T HAVE ONE (any accomplishments)?

    Simple logic.

Obama put down Clinton’s economy, so good luck.

But, we couldn’t overcome the corruption.

Pelosi said, go with the “will of the people”.

    We didn’t.

I can’t think of anything more representative of the “will of the people” than the People’s Votes, which Hillary won.

Instead, we allowed Obama to steal the delegates through the use of fraud, theft, threats and force in the caucuses.

We allowed him to steal this election right out from under us.

  • mimi

    Okay…. I’ll bite:

Name ONE accomplishment of Obama’s community organizing other than getting elected.

Did he get heat and hot water to the tenants of slumlord Rezko’s not-fit-to-live in buildings?

Or did he just aggressively register people to vote so they could vote for him to get elected so that then as a legislator he could do absolutely nothing?

    Donald,

I really respect your opinion. It was intelligently put forth. And I share some of it.

Sadly as a lifelong Democrat, I feel like my Party betrayed me on such a profound level, I cannot reward them with my vote this year.

All of the things you mentioned now also describes the Democratic Party. So I must use my vote strategically in order to get some political order in this country. If Obama is elected, we will not get that order.

For example, why didn’t the Democrats hold Impeachment proceedings against Bush/Cheney? I cannot forgive that anymore than I forgive what Bush and Cheney did in lying to go to War.

This is a no-win election year. And I’ve accepted that. The Democrats counted on exactly the feelings you have and figured they could make us eat shit and that we would still vote for them.

Barack Obama is a shit sandwich. And I refuse to eat a shit sandwich.
