The point is that Matthews was scared of Hillary’s campaign having launched a complaint against him for his biased treatment at that point in time and so he decided to show his “journalistic ethics” in full play the next day. (I believe Media Matters received a strongly-worded reminder of Chrissie’s verbal leg tinglings…) He HAD to do this, and he did a damn good repugnant Ad that will prove to be the Gift That Keeps on Giving….Amen.
At least McCain had this to say:

It is scary. This essay Twighlight of the Books [sic] says that in a culture that shifts from print media back to verbal storytelling (videos on the Internet) people will shift back to incuriosity, and outright hostility to facts that contradict their previous beliefs.

I just read that article and could not find where that conclusion appears. Is it possible that info was gleaned from the Frontline story instead?

Sadly as a lifelong Democrat, I feel like my Party betrayed me on such a profound level, I cannot reward them with my vote this year.

All of the things you mentioned now also describes the Democratic Party. So I must use my vote strategically in order to get some political order in this country. If Obama is elected, we will not get that order.

For example, why didn’t the Democrats hold Impeachment proceedings against Bush/Cheney? I cannot forgive that anymore than I forgive what Bush and Cheney did in lying to go to War.
