Barack is a Liar?

Gee, shocking. Looks like the folks over at Air America have discovered that Barack Obama has a trouble with truth when it comes to drug companies. Enjoy

  • Tricia Spiegel

Does anything think that just maybe Obama supporters will finally see that they elected someone who is “same old..” but without any relevant experience (dangerous when dealing with sharks who have been around forever).

This just makes me sick! I need to take something…

  • mountainaires

Have the Democrats Called the Republicans’ Bluff on Health Care with this tactic of a “split bill”? I think so.

  • Portia Elizabeth

What a shock! BO a liar!

Somehow “I told you so” doesn’t seem sufficient. No, this calls for a hearty, “You f**king morons voted for him without vetting him. Deal with it.”

  • Kathleen Wynne

    Portia Elizabeth,

I know exactly how you feel; however, unfortunately, those of us who saw that the emperor had no clothes “from day one” are going to have to deal with the consequences along with the obamabots! Doesn’t that suck!

What frightens me the most is that even with a staunch progressive like Palast saying these things about obama, the ‘bots will still not see him for who he truly is and will continue to “believe in him”.

It’s this same kind of blind allegiance that made Hitler possible. Will history repeat itself here in America?

  • oowawa

Oh ouchy! The folks at HuffPo have also looked behind the curtain for a peek, and, egads!

Voting without vetting. That sums it up perfectly, Portia.

As to what Tricia said above, she nails it as well, same old politics but no experience navigating the shark infestded waters. Then again, I think he is lining the pockets of exactly whom he intended all along.

and hillary sits silently about this…….resign hillary

  • felizarte

What good will that do? She stated her healthcare policies during the primaries and what did she get for that? Let us be grateful that she is where she can do some good for the country. With her and Bill, it was always for the country. I am sure that if there is a sincere call from the country for her to do something (that means placing her in a position where she can accomplish it) she will hear the call and respond. Let the people see what Obama really is like and come to its senses.

Hillary is our only hope on any 3:00 AM crisis.
    We need her there.

    mark,

Hillary is not responsible for what obama does behind closed doors. The American people should be screaming for obama to resign, because he’s the one who has been caught in lie after lie after lie. This latest lie is but one of the many BIG lies he told in order to get elected and the American people should be protesting in the streets over this, not expecting Hillary to resign!

Do you really believe that if Hillary resigns now, the media won’t use this as a smokescreen to jump all over her, attacking her and villifying her and making her into the bad guy for leaving poor barack, in order to avoid having to answeer for their covering and protecting obama at every turn during the election and after, thus, enabling his total betrayal of the American people?

She’s smart to stay on the inside and work from there. If she were to resign for the reasons you state, the power elite would go to any length to make certain that she would have absolutely NO VOICE at all. They’ve invested over a half a billion and are expecting obama to “sell” their one world government agenda to the American people. They will not give up easily and Hillary, alone, could not fight the absolute control they have over the media, politicians, and big business. She should fight for the American people from the inside and the American people need to fight from the outside. Together, we can put the squeeze on these guys, until we can push them out.

I trust Hillary to know what she’s doing for now. So, instead of putting this all on Hillary, you should be calling on the American people to continue going to the townhall meetings, and to stay organized and continue speaking out, keeping the pressure on Congress and the WH sending a message that we’re on to them and we have no intention of letting them turn our democratic republic into a fascist state.

That’s putting it more succinctly! An added irony: In Obama’s attempt to marginalize her–special envoy to Middle East, Pakistan, UN, and Biden as roving adm. mouther, it guarantees that Hillary won’t be responsible for their failures. She could step in when in desperation they ask her too which will be her domain as SOS.

  • J.J. (The P.U.M.A.)

    Joe Klein of Time Magazine wrote an article this morning railing against Republicans (Something I can relate to. Being anti-Obama is not the same thing as being pro-Republican). But what struck me was this line from the piece;

“How can you maintain the illusion of journalistic impartiality when one of the political parties has jumped the shark”?

WOW!! Joe Klein, up to now, was trying to maintain an illusion of impartiality??? If he indeed was, he really sucked at it.

Maybe the time has come when some of his most verbal supporters have doubts? I keep looking around for the “gotcha” moment, as in Lucy and Charlie Brown, when the liberal left “sees the light.”

Fighting false health care claims, Obama repeats one of his own

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama participated in a scripted online discussion of his health care overhaul with a friendly audience of religious voters and pastors Wednesday. It ended with him bemoaning those who bear “false witness” against his plans — and then making a claim of his own that’s been widely shown to be false.

“There’s been a lot of misinformation,” Obama said, complaining about people who are “bearing false witness.”

He said the first thing he wanted to correct was the idea that the proposed overhaul would force some people into different health care plans. “If you like your health care plan, you can keep your health care plan,” he said, repeating one of his stock lines.

That’s not true, however, according to FactCheck.org, an independent truth squad run by the Annenberg Public Policy Center at the University of Pennsylvania.

“He can’t make that promise to everyone,” concluded FactCheck’s analysis, one of several that point out that the Democrats’ health care plan could lead to employers switching plans, and thus forcing their employees into different plans and perhaps to different doctors.

The use of the word “Cheney” as a verb paired with the name of That One makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Maybe we do still have a chance after all. Maybe. I am not sure if yet how much of it is attributable to misery loving company and how much of it is a relief to know that Obamism as a disease isn’t necessarily a terminal condition.

It did make me think though, if anybody is interested… what do you call that when a word like “Cheney” becomes a new verb in our vernacular. I knew it and had it almost, but had to look it up… Neologism.

  • http://www.hillaryorbust.com Hillary or Bust

It’s interesting. I’ve been Twittering and having some Twitfights with a few Obamabots whose best reasoning is that all people who are conservative and/or oppose Obama do so only because they are racist. When you send them a link back (like this one) showing that *progressives* are upset with Obama too, they are silent.

They seem to be lost in their own heads where they ignore any criticism of Obama and must believe that average conservative Americans are their enemy. It’s pathetic, really.

Thankfully, I see a lot more progressives waking up and holding O accountable in the way they did Bush. Not all progressives are stupid and mindless…the smart ones and the informed ones are waking up.

The “charming when he lies” statement does bring up another issue that has been mentioned here many times. The mark of the narcissists I knew so well was this ability to tell a lie with such and innocent, straight face that everyone believed each one when they were telling lies. When they found out they lied, they were convinced they thought they were telling the truth and had somehow had the wool pulled over their faces. And I also knew that somehow they had split their brain and really never believed that they lied.

But would they turn nasty if anyone ever accused them of lying or being a liar. I am almost certain that this kind of accusation will someday–at the right time in some touchy situation–show us a very angry, nasty, not-so-charming side of The One.

  • jwrjr

I wouldn’t call Ozero “same old”. The real “same old”s know that there are smoe lines you do not cross (not to say that they don’t come as close to crossing those lines as they can). Ozero and his disciples believe that “lines you do not cross” applies to others, not to Ozero.

  • jbjd

Yes, but, you know what they left out of that article? The fact that, measured against projected income from those drugs, this is only 2%. (I am always leery accessing a link to Huff Po.)

  • Linda Anselmi

Perfect video Larry. Absolutely perfect! Thanks for sharing it!

  • Peggy Sue

So, let’s see–Barack Obama doesn’t “want to play the lobbyist game better.” He wants to play behind closed, sound proof doors. Barack Obama finds a 2% savings from Big Pharma acceptable when we all know that we’ve been gouged on pricing for years. Barack Obama does not consider the “public option” essential but has said nothing about how we reduce the healthcare industry’s strangle hold on the American public. However, “mandated coverage” is making the healthcare CEO’s smile big and wide.

Obama a liar?? El Supremo. But he does it so-o-o-o charmingly. Hahaha!

Is this the place where we [those who had this man's number all along] say: We told you so?

Obama’s explainers will say that his lying stems from his “white” half. Somehow or other, we white folks will be blamed.

  • Carmen

Here is something EVERYONE should start posting everywhere. Obama says his health care does not have death panels and that it is our Christian duty to supply it.

Well just how Christian is this Mr. Obama!
I want an explanation of just what the Hell you think you are doing!

The ObamaCare bill may not contain “death panels,” but even Charles Lane and Eugene Robinson at the Washington Post wonder why the bill incentivizes end-of-life consultations with the elderly and ill as part of its cost-containment strategy. Maybe Lane and Robinson should take a look at the VA, where the Obama administration and former General Eric Shinseki have reinstated a program called “Your Life, Your Choices.” The Wall Street Journal reports that this program amounts to a high-pressure sales pitch for refusal of treatment for veterans:

“Your Life, Your Choices” presents end-of-life choices in a way aimed at steering users toward predetermined conclusions, much like a political “push poll.” For example, a worksheet on page 21 lists various scenarios and asks users to then decide whether their own life would be “not worth living.”

The circumstances listed include ones common among the elderly and disabled: living in a nursing home, being in a wheelchair and not being able to “shake the blues.” There is a section which provocatively asks, “Have you ever heard anyone say, ‘If I’m a vegetable, pull the plug’?” There also are guilt-inducing scenarios such as “I can no longer contribute to my family’s well being,” “I am a severe financial burden on my family” and that the vet’s situation “causes severe emotional burden for my family.”

When the government can steer vulnerable individuals to conclude for themselves that life is not worth living, who needs a death panel?

One can only imagine a soldier surviving the war in Iraq and returning without all of his limbs only to encounter a veteran’s health-care system that seems intent on his surrender.

I was not surprised to learn that the VA panel of experts that sought to update “Your Life, Your Choices” between 2007-2008 did not include any representatives of faith groups or disability rights advocates. And as you might guess, only one organization was listed in the new version as a resource on advance directives: the Hemlock Society (now euphemistically known as “Compassion and Choices”).

Of course, the program is entirely voluntary, right? Well, the VA has instructed its physicians to deliver this end-of-life counseling to all of its patients. In effect, the US government is telling every veteran it treats that they may want to die for their country — not to defend it, but to save it a few bucks.

This booklet has been in use since the Clinton administration. When the Bush administration finally reviewed “Your Life, Your Choices,” it suspended its use within the VA system. For some reason, the Obama administration and Shinseki have reinstated the booklet this year. The directive reinstituting the booklet was issued last month.

Perhaps some of the “death panels” rhetoric was overblown, but this is downright disgusting. The Bush administration was correct in suspending the use of these tactics to push vets into refusing treatment, and the government these men and women defended should be ashamed to have put that in their hands in the first place. If Obama wants to argue that he won’t bend the cost curve downward at the expense of treatment, maybe he should start by stopping that very policy at the VA — one of the existing “public plans” that need reform much more than the overall health-care system.

  • Onofre’s arm

I just forced myself to watch him on Fox, I think all new editions of dictionaries should insert his name under the word “Smarmy”.

At least three times he again blamed ALL of our problems on a “previous CONSERVATIVE Republican administration”. Hmmmm, I wonder what administration he’s referring to? W. was certainly NOT conservative, and Bush Sr wasn’t much better along those lines. Damn, is it possible that he’s blaming our current problems on Reagan?

Lying is not second nature to Obama, it’s FIRST nature. Almost in the same breath he claimed that the health care bill would absolutely NOT cover illegals, but that it was essential that the bill address the 45 million that CAN’T get coverage. He actually used the word “can’t”. First of all, of the 45 million people not covered, 12 million ARE illegals, an even greater number could easily afford coverage, but choose not to buy it, and most of the remaining qualify for medicade but they don’t bother to enroll. The actual number of people that “can’t” get coverage is less than ten million, and NOBODY is denied health care, IT’S THE LAW! Nevertheless, the intricate web of lies that Obama has spun as he champions a bill that he must not have read, is still catching flies. Lousy, stinking, shit eating, Obamaflies. Or should that be Obamaphiles? I guess there’s little difference.

  • Docelder

is it possible that he’s blaming our current problems on Reagan?

He would be the perfect scapegoat being he can’t defend himself and being that Reagan was as much a patriot as anything else. Attacking Reagan overtly is also attacking people like Palin covertly.

  • Carmen

If we (meaning all Americans) are not standing at our next local town hall meeting DEMANDING that this provision be taken out we are cowards!
These volunteers go to serve their country and when they come home after what they have seen, and what their bodies have been through some Ivy league TWIT that has never seen a day of combat is going to look at them and advise that maybe it is better for them NOT to seek medical treatment and just DIE!

This is too much, and Obama has gone too far now! I supported the Clintons, but I have a friend who knows and always said that Hilary ALWAYS made comments, and treated the military presence at the white house with contempt. I never believed him, but after seeing that this was a Clinton era program, and after finding out that she identifies herself as a MODERN PROGRESSIVE, I have to wonder.

It is time to play cowboys and progressives. These soldiers should all tell him to kiss their asses and come home! He does not want to win anyway in his own words so what are they there for?

Liar of Misinformed? Yesterday, O addressed a religious group and stated that the rumor of “Abortion Funding by the Government” is not true.

In July the Ways & Means committe approved the Health Care Bill(HR 3200). During the course of the debate, Eric Cantor sponsored the following amendment:
No funds authorized under this Act (or an amendment made by this Act) may be used to pay for an abortion or to cover any part of the costs of any health plan that includes coverage of abortion, except in the case where a woman suffers from a physical disorder, physical injury, or physical illness that would, as certified by a physician, place the woman in danger of death unless an abortion is performed, including a life-endangering physical condition caused by or arising from the pregnancy itself, or unless the pregnancy is the result of an act of forcible rape or incest. It was defeated 22-19…..So, which is it O.. lying or misinformed?

It just proves that O doesn’t like to work for anything. He enjoys taking fast tracks on everything. Sara,

Look at this little jewel I found.

check out the Congressional Budget Office’s letter to Ted Kennedy.

    http://prorev.com/2009/07/obamas-healthcare-plan-would-bring-in.html

  • Katmoon

See the bottom two paragraphs of attachment one.

  • Katmoon

The key specifications upon which our analysis was based are as follows:
    • Nearly all of the proposal’s key provisions would become operative in a state when an
insurance exchange (called a “gateway”) is established there to provide a new mechanism
through which its residents could obtain coverage. Such exchanges would probably start
offering health insurance in some states in 2012, and exchanges would have to be operational
in all states by 2014 (the federal government would step in to establish exchanges in any
states that had not done so).
    • The proposal would require all legal residents to have insurance. In general, the Internal
Revenue Service (IRS) would charge a penalty to uninsured people, but all individuals
with income below 150 percent of the federal poverty level (FPL) would be exempt from
the penalty. For others, the penalty would be set at 50 percent of the unsubsidized
premium of a qualifying health plan that provided the lowest level of coverage in the
    insurance exchange (see below).

  • Ferd Berfle

The CBO is about the only Congressional entity that isn’t tainted by extreme partisan politics. This is eye-popping.

  • Ferd Berfle

Do you ever do anything other than criticize the Clintons? You still haven’t answered a question I posed to you weeks ago: If HRC were to resign, who would take her place and would they be as good as she is? I’d rather have her there than not as she is ultimately serving US. That you cannot recognize that simple truth speaks volumes about your ability to comprehend even the most obvious.

But you are singularly incapable of understanding and answering even the most rudimentary questions because you are a bot, too, and just as annoying as any that Obumble sends here.

    Just shut up, Goob.

  • Portia Elizabeth

You’re right. We’ll all have to deal with the mess that the Obots created. But at least the ones who saw through his lies will be better equipped to deal with it. We retained our functioning neurons.

  • Portia Elizabeth

    Agreed!

  • Onofre’s arm

Really? Perhaps this will clear things up for you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKCWbq18bNk

This is the most entertaining source for the information, but roughly the same numbers have been confirmed by many alternate sources. And unless you can provide a more credible source that supports YOUR position, perhaps you shouldn’t have so carelessly challenged me for being “way off” on my description!

  • Katmoon

Exactly, and further you will be fined if you do not have health insurance.

  • oowawa

Thanks for posting this stuff Katmoon. Fines for not buying insurance–that’s what I see here. Yep–I expect insurance companies will welcome this–buy insurance or pay the government 50% of the cost of the health plan anyway (unless you make less than 1.5X the federal poverty level, in which case you don’t have to pay fines). Am I misreading? I do know that 150% of the poverty level isn’t a very high level of income.

  • Senneth

What is wrong with the Democrats that they still want to shove this bill through congress when their employers – We The People – have already told them over and over again, we don’t want the damned thing. They really don’t listen to their constituents, do they?

  • WMCB

The progressives on Air America had fits that Cheney met secretly with the oil executives to craft the Energy bill. So yeah, they are referring to that, and the fact that Obama did the exact same type of thing.

  • TeakWoodKite

I feel ya pain, except re-imported drugs from Canada isn’t part of formulary. Sorry.

  • Katmoon

That’s how I read it too; glad to post it, you know I love finding little goodies like this. Imagine this letter has been around for over a month and still the lies keep a comin..

  • TeakWoodKite

They say when Janie was arrested
They found him underneath a train
But man, he had it comin’
Now that Janie’s got a gun
She ain’t never gonna be the same

Only the day before he PROMISED he wouldn’t do it again.

Serial killers are the evolution of serial liars.

  • Onofre’s arm

The irony of that is the fact that unless the fine is greater than the insurance, why bother with the insurance. Simply run up medical bills far greater than the fine, and then just pay the fine. This is exactly what happened in Massachusetts. Like it or not, Americans will always figure out how to game the system, especially if the system is filled with flaws. And Obamacare is COMPLETELY flawed, just like That One promoting it.

  • Katmoon

Considering the government is one of the largest gamers, a lot of people figure why not, if they can “I” can; what those types forget is in the end it bites them and everyone else in the ass!

  • Onofre’s arm

“..just a descendant of slaves unlike Obama.”

The multiple levels of irony here are amazing. Obama, a half black non-descendant of slaves, becomes president primarily because of white guilt and the desire rectify the shame of slavery that was essentially abolished in this country 144 years ago in our bloodiest war, FOUGHT MOSTLY BY WHITE PEOPLE, and then as president, he is attempting to enslave our entire nation through Marxist/Fascist policies, because he is filled with rage that his black father and America hating white mother abandoned him as a child. Fact is surely stranger than fiction.

  • NomNomNom

I am uninsured. I am a 44 years old white woman US citizen whose ancestry in the US dates back to the end of the 1600s-early 1700s. I work full time and have worked since 1980 when I was in the 10th grade. I have not had a vacation in 7 years. Until recently, I also went to school full time. First, earlier this year I had to drop my $460/month health insurance because it was no longer possible to pay it, and this semester, I quit college.
There is a wide disparity in the cost of health care: one of my friends works for a large company and pays $150/month for a family insurance plan: he, his wife, and their 2 children are covered by it. My rate for purchasing coverage was 12 times that. It simply became untenable and I am now one serious illness/injury away from losing my house because I cannot afford coverage.
80% of Americans, like myself, do not possess a college degree, largely because they cannot afford it. Most employers offer no or few benefits, as with mine. I have not had a raise in 8 years: I have reached the maximum that my profession will earn. Every day I slide ever more surely into poverty.
Yet my 12 time higher rate did indeed subsidize those grand plans for wealthy CEOs to pass along to their well to do employees for decades. My state and federal tax dollars provide education for others and continue to do so, even when I do not earn enough to continue with school.
I do not qualify for any assistance, nor do I desire “assistance”: I am not a charity case or a parasite contrary to your description and the insurance-retail industries terms for my kind of “barnacle” and “bottom-feeder”. I want an end to bloodsucking insurance that drives up costs and most especially for the working poor.
As for the old saw that no one is denied treatment: if I have no money for health insurance then I surely have no money with which to pay exorbitant emergency care. So my choice is really in losing my home or seeking care. I do not acquire debts for which I cannot pay. While I lack the purchasing power to establish a high credit rating, I do not owe anyone so much as a bent nickel: I do not have 1c racked up on a credit card, and my only current contractual obligation is my home for which I overpay the mortgage as best as I can every month such that I have payed off nearly half of my 30 year mortgage in just 7 years.
This is what an uninsured person sounds like.

mark, she already has resigned, resigned to the fact that B O is clueless and aside from foggy bottom 1600 is whack. Or don’t you understand?

    DUKE SENIOR.
    Thou seest we are not all alone unhappy;
    This wide and universal theatre
Presents more woeful pageants than the scene
    Wherein we play in.

    JAQUES.
    All the world’s a stage,
    And all the men and women merely players;
    They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages. At first the infant,
    Mewling and puking in the nurse’s arms;
Then the whining school-boy, with his satchel
And shining morning face, creeping like snail
Unwillingly to school. And then the lover,
Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad
Made to his mistress’ eyebrow. Then a soldier,
Full of strange oaths, and bearded like the pard,
Jealous in honour, sudden and quick in quarrel,
    Seeking the bubble reputation.

Couric: You reportedly chaff when your foreign policy expertise is questioned. If foreign policy is not your weakest area of expertise, what is?

Obama: Well, you know, I … the last time I was asked a question what my biggest weakness was, I said …

    Couric: You were disorganized.

Obama: …I was disorganized. This ended up becoming a big political issue. You see … we need somebody who’s organized in the White House. So, you know, I …

Couric: But what area do you feel least comfortable with?

Obama: Well, you know … I think that … there are so many issues in which I am not an expert but require you to be an expert. That the most important job that I will have as president is choosing excellent people to help to shape policy and provide me with a clear set of decisions. So …I’ll give you … a very clear example.

    1. McCain voted against Medicare Part D specifically because it blocked the govt from negotiating volume discounts.

    2. We criticized Part D as Medicrap, Mediscam, Part Duh, etc., because it blocked volume discounts. But now Obama proposes the same thing. Does that make Bush look good in retrospect for Part D? Bush did expand the safety net to provide at least some help to seniors on prescription drugs.

    3. Since Obama takes credit for preventing the end of the world with his stimulus bill, can Bush take credit for preventing Al Queada from blowing up the world with nuclear weapons?

Is Obama making Bush look good–at least relatively?

  • Onofre’s arm

Teak, are you asking me;Is this a lie? Or, is Couric an Obamafly? I would have to say yes to both questions, if that is indeed what you’re asking.

What I am asking myself more and more lately is this, “Why does ANYONE even bother to debate or fuss over the veracity of ANYTHING Obama says, because whatever language leaves his mouth is completely detatched from reality and the actual issues. It is one lie after another at such a rapid pace that few people can wrap their arms around the fact we have a president that has built a life narrative around, and has assumed the Presidency on, absolutely nothing but lies. NOTHING he says is anchored with any sort of solid foundation, he might just as well read with passion the names from the phone book, and let the fawning media portray it as brilliance. Why even listen to, or give measured consideration to, anything that exits his cigarette sucking mouth? Yes, he’s still smoking because his monumental arrogance allows him to now that he’s the prez, and yet he still lectures US about health issues. What a POS.

Aside from his own ghost written, and demonstrably false and exagerated biographies, what is the truth about this creep? His whole LIFE as WE know it is a lie. I could close my eyes at the state fair, throw a rock, and have a better chance of it hitting someone that is more qualified and honest to run this country. Especially if I threw the rock straight up.

I understand many people putting their “heads in the sand” and supporting Obama because they don’t want to be called racists. I’m sorry but I’ve never seen the charm. Acting innocent and smiling while one is telling a “whopper” is not a particularly unique talent. Geo. W. was good at it but I don’t recall him being described as a “charming liar”.

  • lorac

Mark isn’t a Hillary fan. I suspect that his periodic appearances here, always to suggest she resign, are related to BO’s problems and Hillary’s continued good job. I think he doesn’t like her showing up Obama, so his calls for her to resign are not for the good of the country, but for the good of The One.

Obama’s paternal ancestors were Arab slaver cooperators, who took on the class distinction of the Muslim slaver names and religion–the Arabs were and still are the world’s biggest slavers. They sold slaves out of the notorious East African Zanzibar ports for generations, even after the end of the Civil War. The African aristocratic Arab slaver cooperators captured and sold their low-born African countrymen, better infiltrators–you can still glean that sense of entitlement and affect from Obama even today.

  • maryann

No, when you have Bawney telling a constituent he’d rather talk to a dining room table, when in fact HE has an IQ of a used doghouse rug, you can tell they’ve got contempt for their constituency. Utter contempt, they do not need them, they’ve taken over.

Look, Barack Barry Hussein Obama Soetoro is still a British citizen to this day, he was born thus, he was never eligible and they all know it.

They are all guilty conspirators in a foreign coup and all they can do is bully the electorate towards their now NEEDED dictatorship, for without that they will be facing shackles themselves.

SEIU and ACORN are proving to be very lame insofar as being Obama’s “ground troops” — low IQ obese people who have to be dressed and transported on public school buses and given scripts, they all have a big “DUH” cartoon bubble over their collective heads.
They need to be confronted, but as they play Candyland, the American people who they’ve sorely underestimated, will play chess. Obama’s calling on the religious community, which he’d heretofore eschewed to act as his ground troops, shows even more that he’s all hat no cattle.

When Americans truly understand we have a born British citizen sitting in as resident, this house of cards will crumble even though the courts are corrupted, the media swimming in their own sewage…the people are catching on.

Hell hath no fury like Americans scorned.

I think we should stop listening to what Obama says. He lies everytime he opens his mouth. I think we should just listen to House Speaker Pelosi to know what Obama is really thinking. I can’t believe there are still Americans believing he tells the truth. Hillary not only hurt herself by accepting the position of Secretary of State she damaged her country. We urged her to run as an independent and if she lost at least she could still be a senator. She just proved to be a politician rather than a patriot.

  • imustprotest

    Hi nomnomnom,

I am glad you added you story to this post and am sorry for your situation. However, Obamacare will not help you. If you read the bill it will still leave you uninsured. Obamacare is a government monopoly and ever since teddy Roosevelt we have fought monopolies. If we had portable insurance policies with allowance for pre-existing conditions that we could choose similar to homeowner insurance and life insurance and auto insurance with enforced government regulation you would be better off. Cost of insurance would be driven by the competitive marketplace. You could also by catastrophic insurance that would prevent you from going bankrupt….very cheap insurance. It should be clear to you that Obama is doing for Obama and not for you. Good luck.

  • Katmoon

    Agree.You rock Imust!

  • lorac

Regina, I think it can be seen a different way. I think she took the SOS job (a non-political job) AS a patriot, because she wanted to be in a position to help the country – she gave up her political job (senate) to do that.

The Annenberg family was pretty well known to be conservative poitically. The Annenberg foundation funds so many things in education, usually good. They simply made a big mistake giving any money to Ayers and his sidekick Obambi. Their project spent a fortune and got nowhere in terms of showing any success for the students. YET, Ayers is a “respected professor of education.”

  • Diana L. C.

That young woman who laughed about not paying her emergency care bill is the type of person I would like to see being forced to get insurance. She can obviously afford some insurance. Since she doesn’t own a home, she’s probably not yet discovered how her unpaid bill will haunt her if she does try to buy one. Then she’ll cry, “Unfair.” And sometime soon when she has to go through a credit check, the hospital’s collection agency will come for her. She’ll also be sorry when the next accident she has is worse and her bill is much higher and the hospital will go after her sooner.

And she is why people like NomNomNom below should have cheap insurance. She will pay her bills.

I’ve pointed out before, my son with the basic insurance from his employer (he wasn’t eligible yet for the better plan) got a bill for #1,800 for a 15-minute visit with an emergency room one night. The insurance paid only $800. (Under his current plan, he would have owed $250 – $300). Why was his bill so high to get a wound cleaned, a shot for tetanus, and major antibiotics? Probably because of deadbeats like that woman.

The problem really is in trying to say all people without health insurance don’t have it for the same reason.

My heart goes out most for those like my brother-in-law who discovered he has Parkinson’s after he has also retired. My sister who had also been laid off shortly before now has to work full time at a mind-numbing job to pay help pay the $700 a month plan she can now get through her employer until he can qualify for Medicare since no insurance plan would take them unless she could get it through employment. She would, of course, rather care for him during he day.
