Barack is a Liar? (Reprint)

(This one is too good to miss. Greg Palast is inteviewed on Air America and claims we’ve been “cheneyed” by Obama and host Christiane Brown calls Obama a “charming liar.” Reprint of Aug. 20th original.)

Gee, shocking. Looks like the folks over at Air America have discovered that Barack Obama has a trouble with truth when it comes to drug companies. Enjoy

  • yttik

Well what did people expect when they voted for Cheney’s cousin? A Clinton?

  • babawankenobe

What is needed its medical tort reform and all of the lawyers are Obama lackeys. We have been fooled again!

  • ladydawnelle

    yttik,

    LOL yeap!

And I’m soooo glad JEdwards will soon get HIS DUE!

    Who is next?

  • candymarl

I didn’t believe this at the time so I’m not surprised at all. No one could have delivered what he promised. Obama promised all things to all people. I even said Hillary couldn’t deliver all of this stuff. But then she never made all of these promises.

I knew Hillary was toast when she said if Congress refused to pass her health care bill she’d give us one just like theirs by Executive Order. That would have been real change.

There’s nothing wrong with “hoping” for “change”. I understood the power of Obama’s rhetoric. But only in a perfect world with perfect people could he accomplish all that he said he would.

If someone as smart and as cynical about politics like Palast could be drawn in, however briefly, it’s not surprising that the masses suspended disbelief.

I have a number of former friends who subscribe to Greg Palast and take his word as law. I hope they are finding some suitable sauces for that crow they should be ready to eat. I want an apology. I want them to admit that they were fools. I may have to wait a long time. They are deniers of the first degree.

  • I’m a Linda too

    and worth repeating.

  • Isla

    Great post–thanks!

  • AF catfish

Obama who so loves speaking is very very unattached to the words that come out his mouth. It is bizarre.

  • AF catfish

But it is still shocking that Palast could be drawn in.

It’s like we’re living on a separate planet from all these people who bought Obama. What the hell? If they saw him so differently than we saw him, what else are they seeing differently? Is the populace just way more naive than we are?

  • http://www.hillaryorbust.com Hillary or Bust

No, not more naive. Less informed. I have a few Obot friends and they just don’t keep up with the real news. I just told one today about Obama giving $2 billion to Brazil for off-shore drilling and the look on his face was priceless. WHAAAAT?

And then I told him about Obama’s back door deal with Big Pharma.

Once given this info, they generally are displeased with him.

Still, it takes them a while to wake up, they have been so conditioned to seeing just the Republicans as enemies that they have a hard time getting that Democrats can be just as bad.

  • NoBamaNoWay

i’ve noticed that too; one never knows what he really thinks, if anything.

  • lorac

” Is the populace just way more naive than we are?”

Maybe some of them are more emotionally needy and less self-sufficient. The rest of us weren’t looking to “elect” a savior, someone to make us feel better about ourselves, or someone to pay our bills.

So this Palast person admits Obama’s lies about healthcare. How about the lies he told in his 2004 Convention speech? Obama didn’t mean a word of it. “There are no Red States, there are no Blue States.” Now he and his minions (Pelosi, Biden, Krugman, etc.) go on a vicious, bigoted attack against heartland Americans: ‘they’re racist, they’re stupid, they’re low information voters, they’re Nazis, they’re dumb as horses, they’re subhuman.”

Will Palast admit the Big Lie Obama told to launch his national campaign?

  • indigogrrl

IMHO ~ the folks that bought into the Obama fairy tale only get their news from mainstream sources and do little if no further investigation. If you only get spoon fed the propaganda its very easy to believe the hype. If I wasn’t related/surrounded by republicans I might think they are all evil greedy demons too…. but they are people struggling with the same issues we liberals are but approaching the issues from a different perspective.

  • jbjd

Again, all rhetoric without any facts to back this up. You want tort reform? Make a cogent argument explaining why.

The thrill is gone for Obama and the media

Team Obama tried blaming special interests, but that was a bust too. The president’s deal with the pharmaceutical industry gets him $150 million worth of ads to boost his plan, whatever it is.

The same people who bombard us with ads for products that promise to prevent hardened arteries or encourage hardening elsewhere will soon be selling you Obamacare.

“If you experience doubts about the plan lasting more than four hours, seek immediate help from Organizing for America.”

    It’s not bizarre.
    It’s called LYING.

  • jwrjr

I keep seeing ads for our (Democratic) senator thanking her for her wonderful work … paid for by the Pharmaceutical industry. Then I think “they don’t give away these ads for free. There is something going on here.”

Now There You Go Again — More Whoppers from Obama

Just wondering what the differences are in point between a White House interrogation unit and say the Iraqi Republican Guard or even the German SS. When the lines are blurred then where is the line… is there a line at all? But, what would be expected from an administration that brought us flag@.

  • Doc99

Special interests love Obamacare. And don’t hold your breath for tort reform.

  • gonzotx

    Funny!

  • Chicago Joe

Obama is such a liar. I am so glad I didn’t fall for the hype.
