Obama’s Scorched Earth Policy [UPDATE]

My conviction that Barack Obama is singularly unqualified to be President grows with each passing day. And today provided another sign that this man-child is a petulant prick. For the first time in memory, a candidate for the office of President has named the Chief of Staff for their eventual Vice Presidential candidate. Got that? Rather than trust the Vice Presidential nominee to choose their own guy or gal, the Obamas went and got it done.

And the lucky winner? The New York Observer reports:

Hillary Clinton’s former campaign manager Patti Solis Doyle has just been officially named “chief of staff to the Vice Presidential Nominee” by the Obama campaign.

Now that is rich. Obama taps a person who is a demonstrated failure as a campaign director and gives her the task of riding herd on his eventual VP nominee. Gotta admire the chutzpah of the Obama. And how did top dollar Clinton folks react?
New York Observer offered this catchy title, Clinton Bundler on Obama’s Doyle Pick: The Biggest ‘Fuck You’ Ever. Can you feel the warmth? Now there is hope we can believe in.

This is one more “tell” of the kind of political player Barack is. Rather than reaching out and seeking Hillary’s help in healing the rift in the Democratic party, he has removed his socks and stuck his stinky feet in the festering wound. I have been told by well connected Democrats that some senior Democrats in the Senate are beside themselves at the petulance and immaturity of Barack.

What could Barack do? Well, for example, he could have called prominent Democrats who are running for re-election and who backed Hillary. He could have thanked them for their loyalty, encouraged them to hang with Hillary till the convention, and offered help in raising money to beat their Republican rival in the Fall. That’s what a leader would have done. Barack, instead, has let his troops attack those who had the temerity to support Hillary. And instead of healing rifts, they prefer a scorched earth.

As the August Convention nears, more Democrats will come to the shocking realization that Barack’s bare knuckles politics may work well in the corrupt confines of Chicago, but are a non-starter for healing a nation wounded by partisan battles. This is not the change folks are looking for.

UPDATE: Was Doyle a mole? Did she deliberately sabotage the Hillary campaign? Turns out she had worked with David Axlerod, Obama’s guy and her brother is a Chicago alderman and she worked for Richard Daley. Did she deliberately tank Hillary’s campaign and betray the trust put in her? Legitimate questions.

  • http://deleted AnninCa

I’m glad to hear that there are some senior congresspeople seeing the immaturity.

He’s poking the snake, for sure.

  • ummm

I guess you would prefer a Vice President to work completely independently, away from the President’s prying eyes? Making decisions, like starting wars, or creating energy policy, setting torture policies, or outing CIA agents who refuse to play ball SHOULD be left in the hands of an all powerful Vice President.

My conviction that Barack Obama is singularly unqualified to be President grows with each passing day. And today provided another sign that this man-child is a petulant prick.

Just when you think you understand how disgusting Obama is he pulls another stunt to lower your view of him. There seems to be no limit to how bad this guy is.

  • Bud White

It’s all of those things plus bad judgment. Here’s a woman who burned through $100 million before one contest occurred.

  • normita TX

Hmm. 666 is the number of the beast.

  • Pat

I have been told by well connected Democrats that some senior Democrats in the Senate are beside themselves at the petulance and immaturity of Barack.

…just like you were told about the “‘whitey’ tape” by well-connected Republicans, right?

So when can we expect to see it? I haven’t seen any updates in a while.

Looks like Hillary is OK with PSD’s hiring:

“Patti will be an asset and good addition to the Obama campaign. After nearly two decades in political life, she brings with her the ability to tap an extensive network that will be a huge asset to Senator Obama. As Senator Clinton has said, we’re all going to do our part to help elect Senator Obama as the next President of the United States,” said spokesman Mo Elleithee.

  • ummm

“Here’s a woman who burned through $100 million before one contest occurred.”

Yup and that’s why she’s Chief of Staff and not Campaign Manager. Because naming an incompetent like Solis-Doyle as CAMPAIGN MANAGER would be REALLY stupid. I mean, how horrible must your judgement have to be to do THAT?

  • BBB

I suppose that, now that Al Gore has endorsed Obama, Al Gore is a “petulant prick” as well?

And as far as calling PSD a “demonstrated failure”, could anyone *not* on your hate list in the Clinton campaign have caused the less-than-hoped-for success of the campaign? Or is was the entire problem solely the work of one figure in the campaign? Didn’t anyone else in the Clinton campaign at all contribute to the outcome?

  • Democrat

Who are you talking about? The diary didn’t quote a single member of Congress.

Oh, and Clinton issued a statement in support:

“Patti will be an asset and good addition to the Obama campaign. After nearly two decades in political life, she brings with her the ability to tap an extensive network that will be a huge asset to Senator Obama. As Senator Clinton has said, we’re all going to do our part to help elect Senator Obama as the next President of the United States,” said spokesman Mo Elleithee.

Maybe Patti was on board with Obama for a LONG time….maybe that helped her do such a great job for Hillary…if you know what I mean. now is the pay back time.

I agree..just when you think the opinion of Barack hits rock bottom…SURPRISE

  • ar

    Hey Laire
What happened to the whitey tape. I wait with bated breath for the tape to finally emerge on the eve of the election. We will finally prevail!

  • ummm

“Maybe Patti was on board with Obama for a LONG time….maybe that helped her do such a great job for Hillary”

Maybe Mark Penn worked for Obama, too.

  • Democrat

That wasn’t a good job for her. Chief of staff for the vp nominee is a very different kind of job.

Plus she has great connections in the Hispanic activist community. Of course Obama is already leading McCain among Hispanics 2-1, but it’s always a good idea to get someone with recognized strength and networks with such an important bloc of voters.

  • Dawnelle

They are too afraid of BHO and his crooked delegate thieves!! Doyle has become the Latina Judas.

Where are the Women (& Men) with backbone in the DC bubble? I wish to see them standing up for democracy and voters rights and following the RULES! ALL THE RULES!!

Just because the Bush Cabal got away with ZERO oversight doesn’t mean DEMS get to run CRAZY with the REpug rotten candy toys before they reverse them!

I don’t want to see the nastiness from a Party I once loved go w/out rebuke!

They must bear BOLD witness to the results of their rushed unguarded decisions.

It may stink us all a bit but they must sleep with it! Not me. I’m not getting in bed with that treachery! NEVER.

  • bart

Any chance we’ll hear or see some of these upset democrats? Ted Strickland is there. Gov. Rendell seems to be another. And, for god’s sake, why are they only getting a clue NOW? WTH?

One of the biggest mysteries so far is WHY the DNC has pushed this guy and why all the dems are on board the ratboat.

  • Democrat

Funny! As if she would have preferred being chief of staff to the vp nominee instead of the campaign manager of the Democratic nominee. What a silly idea!

  • Dawnelle

never EVER and it was STING not stink

    although you could use both

Obama is just sucking up to the Hispanic vote.
He won’t get anywhere with that because Hispanics are hard working Catholics that look at black culture for the most part as immoral and opposite their own.

Hispanics also look up to strong matriarchal figures like Hillary and the virgin Mary and feel the same way as most conservative democrats about her treatment.

McCain is smart in how he is courting the hispanic vote going against the wishes of the extremists on the right.
The fact that he is attending a Townhall meeting called La Raza(open borders) is a testimony to his moderate views.
Mccain has invited Wimpo but I’m sure his schedule is conflicted at this time.

  • Democrat

It must be very upsetting to you that Obama won more pledged delegates than Clinton under each and every FL/MI scenario.

Proof on FL and MI here – http://www.demconwatchblog.com/2008/05/fl-mi-by-numbers_21.html

  • Democrat

    This must be snark!

  • Kickass Old Lady

B.O. is angling for the Hispanic vote. She will be thrown under the bus as soon as(like never) that B.O. and his vice prez. Are elected. Duh.

Obama seems to have that ‘take no prisoners’ attitude.

He exhibits that Rap/Hip Hop gangster attitude. He gave Hillary the finger that one time at the podium.

He is a fucking, low-class prick.

We had GWB as a role model for 8 years. And, now you have this Obama fuck-wad.

These assholes are not role models. They are the laughing stock to be scorned and ridiculed.

  • ClydeSloppers

Don’t you all know Barack Obama walks in beauty with the wisdom of Solomon. Truly America will turn into a paradise if we just submit to his divine pronouncements. Truly we will be blessed to replace a man who talks to God to a great Personage whose every utterance is the Word of God. Repent while ye still have time. Oh to be baptized in the Chicago River, that is my greatest yearning!

  • ummm

“He won’t get anywhere with that because Hispanics are hard working Catholics that look at black culture for the most part as immoral and opposite their own.”

“The poll showed Obama with a 66-20 lead among California Latinos, a 61-22 advantage among Texas’ Hispanic voters, and a 57-31 lead in four Southwest states — Arizona, Colorado, Nevada and New Mexico — which may become key battlegrounds.”

“In Florida, where Cuban-Americans have voted Republican for years, Obama and McCain are virtually tied among Latinos.”

Seems like Hispanics (me included) like Obama just fine you racist fuck.

  • Democrat

Obama’s doing very well with Hispanics. It turned out that they quickly pivoted from Clinton to the presumptive Democratic nominee.

A new Gallup Poll summary of surveys taken in May shows Obama winning 62% of Latino registered voters nationwide, compared with just 29% for McCain. Others have found a wide gap as well. The pro-Democratic group Democracy Corps compiled surveys from March through May that showed Obama with a 19-point lead among Latinos. And a Times poll published last month showed Obama leading McCain among California Latinos by 14 points.

Republicans say McCain’s numbers among Latinos at the moment are disappointing — far below the goals set by a campaign that has long believed McCain could challenge the traditional Democratic dominance of the Latino electorate.

So when will the Congressional Democrats wake up from their stupor? How long does that kool-aid maintain its efficacy?

BTW, that shit bag Al Gore had this to say regarding the popular vote: “A vote is not just a piece of paper. A vote is a human voice; a statement of human principle. And we should not let those voices be silenced. Not for today, not for tomorrow, not for as long as the country’s laws and democratic institutions let us stand and fight to let those voices count.”

I’m sure that the folks in MI and FL are thrilled.

For you kids at home, this is how you invalidate yourself and your party in one boldly stupid move. Don’t try this at home.

    Al, high five!

  • Democrat

He already has the Hispanic vote. See link above.

  • http://deleted AnninCa

Didn’t matter to me. Obviously, the delegate distribution method is highly flawed. I thought the SD’s would use their political judgment and see that she had won the major states, put together a much broader coalition, and had the momentum going.

Pelosi and Dean are the ones who made it about delegate count. They misinfomed the public about that. Then Clyburn made sure to wield the threat of “blood in the streets.”

I still thought she’d be allowed to prove her electability argument.

I was wrong. The fix was in.

    And so it goes.

But I see the fix. I know the players who went along with it and who pushed it through.

I was watching, along with many millions of us.

  • street_parade

This makes me think more than ever that the recent statements of Ted Strickland (no, no, no to the VP slot) and Ed Rendell (letting us all in on BO’s ‘we don’t need the people, we need their checks” statement) was code being tapped out from behind enemy lines. I hope they make it out of the POW camp.

  • Dawnelle

the rules state he gets ZERO delegates for taking his name OFF the MICH ballot voluntarily

    so if the truth prevailed

    Hillary would win

    Most votes EVER!

  • Pat

Ultimately it comes down to the CEO, the candidate herself.

I personally don’t think Obama should have hired PSD, either, but she can’t be a scapegoat for the entire campaign. The failure of Hillary’s campaign is her responsibility. If you want a scapegoat, I would blame Bill Clinton’s foot-in-mouth syndrome and Mark Penn’s expensive idiocy.

  • Seattle Moss

I know many Hispanics from my travels through rural Texas and elsewhere and I can tell you that none of them feel comfortable voting for someone that belongs to a church that espouses Black Liberation Theology.
Hispanics are the same as other Catholics. Obama lost 70% of the Catholic vote and that’s not going to change much.
However, Obama does get the atheist and immoral vote hands down!
    you should be proud…

  • Dawnelle

OHH and he broke the rules in FLA too so I guess he should only get HALF his votes there and Hillary should get ALL hers

Again Hillary wins both delegates and popular vote

  • http://deleted AnninCa

Patti Solis Doyle grew up in the Chicago area, attending the Notre Dame High School for Girls and Northwestern University.

Her oldest brother, Daniel Solis, is Chicago alderman for the 25th ward.

Doyle entered politics working on Richard M. Daley’s campaign for Mayor of Chicago.

Any wonder if she was in Axelrods pocket all along, since she worked for Axelrod in electing Mayor Daley?

This piece of news is totally bizarre. Whatever is going on in the background must be uglier than sin.

After watching the Democrats in action for the past couple of weeks, even the rotting Republicans are beginning to look a little less repugnant these days.

    I have two suggestions:

First, for Bill Clinton. Considering Tim Russert as a good example of the uncertainty of anyone being here tomorrow, Mr Clinton should bare his soul about this election on national TV (with Hillary’s blessing, of course) and tell us what is really going on.

Second, for Jimmy Carter. Take your Nobel Peace Prize, awarded in part for your promotion of democratic elections around the globe, and stick it in your ear. I believe I recall Carter commenting that Bush was the worst US President. We know he can speak out when he wants to. I guess somehow the Democratic Primary process in the United States does not qualify as an democratic election.

  • AngryWhitePerson

Let’s try something more realistic and relevant regarding the Hispanic vote:

Try reading something from within the week.

Convincing Latino voters could be a tough task for Barack Obama en route to the White House if he does not make himself better known among that community and explain clearly his plans for the largest ethnic minority in the United States.

That was the conclusion of a Hispanic Protestant leader in the US who was among 42 ministers of various ethnic backgrounds who met with Obama earlier this week in what was a first encounter for many of them.

Cortes and other ministers expressed their reservations face to face with Obama on Tuesday at the closed-door meeting with Chicago.

‘I told him, ‘Senator, the truth is that we as a people do not know you, and your candidacy is raising a doubt for us, because we do not know what you are going to do and how you are going to reflect on the Hispanic people’,’ Cortes told dpa.

If anyone has another practical way to defeat Barack Obama in November, other than getting 18 million Clinton voters to vote for McCain, please share it. Otherwise, vote McCain and defeat the “new” Obamacrat Party. This has go to stop or this country will be in very grave danger from a political crook who has taken on the persona of a false god. What will happen to these blogs when Obama becomes Dictator? Do you think we will still be able to speak our minds? Is this America in 2008 or Germany in 1936? Again, unless you can share a better way to do it, vote for McCain in November, to defeat Obama and defeat this horrow show of a “democratic” party. I have been told by well connected Democrats that some senior Democrats in the Senate are beside themselves at the petulance and immaturity of Barack.

After reading several British Press articles about Obama’s father and mother, I can see why the above comment by Larry is so clearly true.

Here’s one, I have to go look for the other one.

    Quote:

A family friend said: “He is haunted by his father’s failures. He grew up thinking of his father as a brilliant intellectual and pioneer of African independence only to learn that in Western terms he was basically a drunken lecher.”

This ugly truth, say friends, has made Mr Obama ruthlessly determined to use every weapon that he has to succeed, including the glossily edited version of his father’s story.

“At the end of the day Barack wants the story to help his political cause, so perhaps he couldn’t afford to be too honest,” said Ochieng.

OK, if anyone cares about the facts..

This is a common practice, not some strange “scorched earth” policy. The VP staff is partially assembled before the VP is selected so they can get started on all the things that need to be done for the campaign. The presidential candidate pretty much runs the campaign.

Once the VP candidate is selected, the come in and have a staff already up and running. Assuming the team is selected, the VP will then repopulate his staff (as will the presidential candidate) when they transition from campaigning to holding office.

The fact that the author of this blog is not familiar with this very common practice does not make it strange.

    Obama-phile “Mark” (above) said:
“The OB camp is a tight ship.”

OhMyGawd…they (the O-philes) are truly delusional.

    Okay, everyone, here’s a challenge:
Please contribute examples to the OB Camp’s not-so-tight-that-it-doesn’t-leak-in-rather-alarming-ways ship.

    I’ll start it with…

    1. The Obama campaign’s lead economic advisor and rank-amateur (politcally speaking), Austan Goolsbee, thought it necessary to inform a representative of the Canadian gov’t that what Obama was telling Ohioans about his “non-support” of NAFTA, was something they shouldn’t believe.

    2. Samantha Power, the Obama campaign’s former foreign policy advisor and rank amateur (politically speaking), told an Irish journalist in an on-the-record interview that Senator Hillary Clinton “is a monster”…and this, after informing a British TV journalist–on camera–that Obama wouldn’t pull out the troops in Iraq, like he said he would.

anyone else care to add to this list? (There are plenty more examples…)

  • http://www.marcysmutiny.blogspot.com/ MessyMarcy

Hey, why doesn’t he name Cheney his veep nominee? Obama is so much like GeeDubya, Cheney would probably never notice he’d changed partners; they both support the oil companies; both are absolutely without any limits as far as the depths to which they will stoop just to get even with someone they think has crossed them. This is a match made in heaven really good match. And after that terribly humiliating and embarrassing ass-kicking McCain is going to hand Obama this fall, it would get both Obama and Cheney out of public life, to the benefit of this country, the world, and the common good.

And to think Obama thought this was worth rubbing into everyone’s faces and claim she is welcome in his campaign. How petty can you sink to?

We are seeing the real BHO in action now that he had won his prize and it is not pretty. We were told long ago he plays ruthless basketball and makes up the rules to get what he wants. Yup, this is sure “change”. Loose change.

Who are these senior Congressmen/women? I’d like to raise flag in their honor. But I’m afraid that like all weasels, they’ll whisper their objections but wait to see how the wind blows.

I’ve lost all patience with part-time patriots. If they’re appalled by Obama’s behavior and petulance then I’m sorry: let them speak now or forever hold their peace.

Loyal Democrats should not feel abandoned by their own leadership, senior or otherwise. If you don’t have the guts to speak out about a wrong committed right under your nose then how can we [the voters] ever expect those same representatives to speak up for the concerns and needs of the American people?

It’s disgusting, pure and simple. I never thought I’d feel shame in saying, I am a Democrat. But I feel that way now.

Actually, I know it might give you cooties, but if you go to McCain’s site and watch his campaign manager’s strategy presentation you will see that voters in the swing states view of themselves politically is almost identical to how they view McCain. Most view BO as being a liberal.

That’s why you’ll be seeing BO tack hard right, now that the general is underway. Since he doesn’t stand for anything – he won’t have a problem. I expect he will be praising the surge any day now.

Obombi is the scummiest pol I have seen in my entire life. He “brushes” off and flips off the former First Lady, his rally in Iowa plays, “99 Problems, but a bitch ain’t one,” he takes control of the DNC and moves it to Chicago, and now this. What’s next? How low will he go?

Dick Morris on Fox News tonight, says the anti Obama websites springing up by “Clinton activists,” will be gone by the convention, and all Democrats will unite. More bullshit propaganda, (the old GOP “repeat it often enough and people will begin to believe it” LIE). He intimates that we are a very minor, outer fringe movement and nothing to take seriously at all. And that somehow, the Clintons instigated the entire NObama movement. Uh-huh.

If that’s the case, where’s “the bump?” Real Clear Politics has McCain and The Radical One neck and neck. There’s been no bump – in fact, in the past few days, Obama has gone steadily down in the polls, from a 6 point lead 2 days ago to barely 3 today. And this is the “Democrat’s Year?” Ok…

I actually believe “we outer fringe lunatics” don’t have to do a whole lot to defeat this obnoxious, arrogant gangster. I believe he’s doing a damn good job of it all by himself.

    Obama’s letters for Rezko

As a state senator, he went to bat for now-indicted developer’s deal

    June 13, 2007Recommend (7)

    BY TIM NOVAK Staff Reporter/tnovak@suntimes.com

As a state senator, Barack Obama wrote letters to city and state officials supporting his political patron Tony Rezko’s successful bid to get more than $14 million from taxpayers to build apartments for senior citizens.

The deal included $855,000 in development fees for Rezko and his partner, Allison S. Davis, Obama’s former boss, according to records from the project, which was four blocks outside Obama’s state Senate district.

The deal included $855,000 in development fees for Rezko and his partner, Allison S. Davis, Obama’s former boss, according to records from the project, which was four blocks outside Obama’s state Senate district.

Obama’s letters, written nearly nine years ago, for the first time show the Democratic presidential hopeful did a political favor for Rezko — a longtime friend, campaign fund-raiser and client of the law firm where Obama worked — who was indicted last fall on federal charges that accuse him of demanding kickbacks from companies seeking state business under Gov. Blagojevich.

I googled and found it right away:

When McCain subsequently apologized to President Clinton, the Washington Post, in its personality section, noted the apology but said the joke “was too vicious to print.”

The Los Angeles Times, in its Life & Style section, provided an oblique rendering of the joke that did not fully convey its ugliness. When Maureen Dowd penned a column in the New York Times about the joke, she wrote that McCain “is so revered by the press that his disgusting jape was largely nudged under the rug.” But Dowd chose not to relay the joke, either.

The joke did appear in McCain’s hometown paper, the Arizona Republic, and the Associated Press did report the joke in full, so everyone in the press had access to McCain’s words. But by censoring themselves, the Post, the Times and others helped McCain deflect flak and preserved his status as a Republican presidential contender.

Salon feels its readers deserve the unadulterated truth.

    2. Undercover, forget the math and look at the political map most of the delegates Obama “won” in the primary were from states Obama has little chance of winning and the idea of banking his hopes on VA and Colorado two states Bush carried and the Republicans have little to no fear of losing is crazy. And the fact Republicans in Mississippi went out their way to help get out the vote for Obama shows me who they want to face.

Formerly, Obama was saying that the supers should follow the will of the people. Now that he has been able to amass the majority of pledged delegates, he makes up this idiotic notion that the supers shouldn’t follow the will of the people at all, but instead support whoever has the lead in pledged delegates.

Yes, it’s transparent, self-serving crap, the sort that anybody who follows politics should immediately see for what it is. Obama isn’t the only pol to dish out such crap, but at least I understand why he’s doing it: to try to pass himself off as the people’s choice.

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Ok just maybe this is what the Presidental nominee does. But so far Obama is only the presumptive nominee.

All I can say is that Obama is really taking over-More than any presumptive nominee I’ve seen do in my whole life.

I just pray that all this junk that Obama has entangled himself in come out and explodes all over the place.

    From the Washington Post today:

    Barack Obama
    Solis Doyle Joins Obama Campaign
    Updated 1:56 p.m.
    By Anne E. Kornblut
FLINT, Mich.– The Obama campaign announced on Monday that it has chosen Patti Solis Doyle to a key general election post, making her the first prominent Clinton official to make the leap to the other side.

But it is not exactly being seen by Clinton loyalists as an olive branch.

Obama is installing Solis Doyle as chief of staff to the future vice presidential nominee, who has not yet been picked. Given that Solis Doyle was fired from the Clinton campaign, is now at odds with several senior officials who remained and has a strained relationship with Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton herself these days, the appointment may well signal that Clinton’s chances of being picked for the vice presidential slot are close to nil.

Although Solis Doyle devoted her adult life to working for Clinton and once counted her among her closest friends, her departure from the campaign was a rough one. Loyalists openly blamed her for the internal warring and strategic failures; after she left, Clinton expressed hard feelings toward Solis Doyle for the way money had been spent. Fairly or not, Solis Doyle is not the person the Obama campaign would pick to send a signal that it is about to welcome Clinton on board. If anything, some Clinton loyalists privately said, it is an insult.

But as long-standing as Solis Doyle’s ties to Clinton may be, her Chicago roots run even deeper. Her first job in politics was on the campaign staff on Mayor Richard M. Daley, a leading Obama patron, and she has a long friendship with the Illinois senator’s chief political adviser, David Axelrod. She also is close to Rep. Rahm Emanuel, another Chicagoan and Obama confidant.

Phew! At least she was loyal to Hillary.

  • AngryWhitePerson

I believe that particular minister is on the DNC Rules Committee. “Reverend Luis Cortes, the leader of the largest Hispanic Protestant organization in the country, Esperanza USA.” However, he was one of 42 to attend the meeting, which you might have noticed if you bothered to read the article.

Cortes and other ministers expressed their reservations face to face with Obama on Tuesday at the closed-door meeting with Chicago.

What I find strange is that you discount that kind of information.

McCain is a war hero and a hawk who has shown good judgment on the Iraq war, actually. We know now that McCain was right when he predicted that invading Iraq with too few troops could lead to a debacle. The situation would be far different in Iraq today if President George W. Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney and other Republican neo-cons had listened to McCain’s advice before launching the invasion of Iraq. He pushed for a “surge” of additional troops and a change of counter- insurgency strategy. Once again, he was right when he urged President Bush to replace Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, who seemed incapable of changing course or modifying his entrenched beliefs on a failing strategy. The job that has been done by Robert Gates has shown that McCain was right to push for Rumsfeld’s replacement. So, McCain has not followed Bush’s “stay the course” dictum. But Obama in 2004 said his position on the Iraq war was the same as Bush’s. This was two years after his rousing antiwar speech.

Just a little 2004 quote for any Hillary Supporters hesitant to vote for McCain in Protest.

The DNC Luvvvved McCain So Much They Wanted Him To Be Kerry’s Running Mate for VP.
    (Snip)

Despite weeks of steadfast rejections from Senator John McCain, some prominent Democrats are angling for him to run for vice president alongside Senator John Kerry of Massachusetts, creating a bipartisan ticket that they say would instantly transform the presidential race.

The enthusiasm of Democrats for Mr. McCain, an Arizona Republican, is so high that even some who have been mentioned as possible Kerry running mates — including Senator Bill Nelson of Florida and Bob Kerrey, the former Nebraska senator — are spinning scenarios about a ”unity government,” effectively giving Mr. Kerry a green light to reach across the political aisle and extend an offer.

… Chris Lehane, a Democratic strategist who once worked for Mr. Kerry, said such a ticket ”would be the political equivalent of the Yankees signing A-Rod,” referring to Alex Rodriguez, the team’s star third baseman.

Mr. Kerry, the presumptive Democratic nominee, ”continues to be interested in” Mr. McCain, a fellow Vietnam veteran whom Kerry aides describe as the candidate’s best friend in the Senate, as a running mate, said one longtime Democratic official who works for the Kerry campaign.

New York Times, May 15, 2004

Hear that? McCain is John Kerry’s BEST FRIEND IN THE SENATE!

If McCain is good enough for Kerry he’s good enough for my protest vote in November.

    PASS IT ON!

That’s because Kerry was able to actually win enough delegates to guarantee him the nomination so much sooner than Obama was able to steal it. Because of Obama’s inability to connect with a majority of Democratic voters, he’s a little behind Kerry in the inexorable slide to defeat. But he’ll still be the recipient of that terribly embarrassing and humiliating ass-kicking by McCain that unavoidably awaits him in the fall — he just won’t have to anticipate and worry about it quite as long as Kerry did.

”Senator McCain would not have to leave his party,” Mr. Kerrey said. ”He could remain a Republican, would be given some authority over selection of cabinet people. The only thing he would have to do is say, ‘I’m not going to appoint any judges who would overturn Roe v. Wade,’ ” the Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion, which Mr. McCain has said he opposes.

Chris Lehane, a Democratic strategist who once worked for Mr. Kerry, said such a ticket ”would be the political equivalent of the Yankees signing A-Rod,” referring to Alex Rodriguez, the team’s star third baseman.

I hope it will help to slow down the automatic response many Obamabots have to call people who criticize Obama racists

    spot on analysis…

June 15, 2008 (LPAC)–Reports are pouring in from Democratic Party activists and Hillary Clinton supporters all over the country, about an ongoing attempted purge of the Democratic National Committee, state party organizations, and even the Obama campaign itself. It seems that Obama campaign godfather and former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle (D-SD) is running a house-cleaning, that is hopelessly splitting the Democratic Party. One Democratic member of Congress bitterly complained to LPAC representatives, attending the California Democratic Party Executive Board meeting this weekend, that some of Senator Obama’s staunchest supporters among African-American elected officials, are now being isolated from the presumed Democratic nominee, and are even being purged from the campaign organization. “The old Democratic establishment has moved in, and totally taken over.”

These reports prompted Lyndon LaRouche to ask: “Is Tom Daschle out to turn over the entire Democratic Party to his friends on K Street–even at the expense of winning the elections in November? They seem to be thoroughly undeterred by the potential consequences of their own behavior. It is stunning.”

Since he was voted out of office in Nov. 2004, Tom Daschle has been a fixture, along with his wife, among the notorious K Street lobbyists. K Street NW in Washington, D.C. is the home to all of the big lobbying firms, representing corporate interests, Wall Street, and foreign governments. In Jan. 2005, Daschle went to work for the K Street law firm, Alston and Bird, where former Republican Presidential candidate Bob Dole already worked at a reported annual salary of $1 million. Ex-Senator Daschle’s wife, Linda, has been a top lobbyist for a decade at Baker, Donelson, Bearman & Caldwell. Among her major clients are Boeing, United Technologies, American Airlines, Schering-Plough Pharmaceuticals and the American Trucking Association.

Quote from the first article which ‘memyself&I’ posted above (thanks!):

…The novelty of Barack Obama is more his cross-racial appeal than his talent. Jesse Jackson displayed considerable political talent in his presidential runs back in the 1980s. But there was a distinct limit to his white support. Mr. Obama’s broad appeal to whites makes him the first plausible black presidential candidate in American history. And it was Mr. Obama’s genius to understand this. Though he likes to claim that his race was a liability to be overcome, he also surely knew that his race could give him just the edge he needed — an edge that would never be available to a white, not even a white woman.

How to turn one’s blackness to advantage?

The answer is that one “bargains.” Bargaining is a mask that blacks can wear in the American mainstream, one that enables them to put whites at their ease. This mask diffuses the anxiety that goes along with being white in a multiracial society. Bargainers make the subliminal promise to whites not to shame them with America’s history of racism, on the condition that they will not hold the bargainer’s race against him. And whites love this bargain — and feel affection for the bargainer — because it gives them racial innocence in a society where whites live under constant threat of being stigmatized as racist. So the bargainer presents himself as an opportunity for whites to experience racial innocence.

This is how Mr. Obama has turned his blackness into his great political advantage, and also into a kind of personal charisma. Bargainers are conduits of white innocence, and they are as popular as the need for white innocence is strong. Mr. Obama’s extraordinary dash to the forefront of American politics is less a measure of the man than of the hunger in white America for racial innocence.

…. And yet, in the end, Barack Obama’s candidacy is not qualitatively different from Al Sharpton’s or Jesse Jackson’s. Like these more irascible of his forbearers, Mr. Obama’s run at the presidency is based more on the manipulation of white guilt than on substance. Messrs. Sharpton and Jackson were “challengers,” not bargainers. They intimidated whites and demanded, in the name of historical justice, that they be brought forward. Mr. Obama flatters whites, grants them racial innocence, and hopes to ascend on the back of their gratitude. Two sides of the same coin.

annin — Many of the state delegates are furious over the way this nomination was handled. Are they going to work for this nominee? The purpose of conventions is to sort out problems and come away a unified party. Not this time. As long as Nancy and Howard believe that papering over problems will bring about unity the Democratic Party and its candidates are in trouble in the fall.

No wonder top Democrats are grumbling the only thing Obama can bring together are two walls.

Another snipped from one of the great links supplied aove by the poster known as ‘memyself&I’

    (snip)

Yet so many people are so fascinated by Barack Obama’s rhetorical skills that they don’t care about his voting record in the U.S. Senate, in the Illinois state senate, the causes that he has chosen to promote over the years, or the candidate’s personal character and values, as revealed by his actions and associations.

Despite clever spin from Obama’s supporters about avoiding “guilt by association,” much more is involved than casual association with people like Jeremiah Wright and Father Pfleger.

In addition to giving $20,000 of his own money to Jeremiah Wright, as a state senator Obama directed $225,000 of the Illinois taxpayers’ money for programs run by Father Pfleger. In the U.S. Senate, Obama earmarked $100,000 in federal tax money for Father Pfleger’s work. Giving someone more than 300 grand is not just some tenuous, coincidental association.

Are Barack Obama’s views shown by what he says during an election year or by what he has been doing for decades before?

Obama didn’t win the number of pledged delegates to win the nomination. What a shame Donna Brazil didn’t leave the Party as she promised if superdelegates decided the nominee. It’s pretty clear those in the DNC were talking only about Hillary winning with supers as unacceptable. She won the popular vote, but delegates selected by a bizarre system of proportionality will give the nomination to a candidate who was fading in the home stretch.

  • speaktruth

Thank you for this article, Larry, and especially for the update. I was wondering why no one else has mentioned it, but it seems like an obvious question to me.
I’ve thought for a long time that Obama had moles sabotaging both Hillary’s and Edward’s campaign. Toward the end of Edward’s campaign he began doing some very dumb and un-Edwards like things. One of these was in the N.H. debate when he joined Obama in attacking Hillary, and praised Obama as an agent of change and for not taking lobbyists money. This was after Obie had stolen caucuses, attacked Edwards for 527 ads, and pretty much knocked him out of the race. It was a shock to hear him go on to praise him, and my first thought was he was getting very bad advice from his handlers. He did a few more dumb things like that, and was knocked out.
The time Hillary said it was a privilege to campaign with Obama seemed like the same type of disconnect, and seemed very wrong. Same message as Edwards, both times it looked like they were dropping out and endorsing Obama for pres. Few days after this Hillary confronted Obama, saying “shame on you.” I liked this, thought it was long overdue, but all the pundits said she had Multiple Personality Disorder. Strange timing and juxtaposition of statements.
Weird advice from her campaign. Set up by Obama and Axelrod, maybe? Feels like their handiwork.
Edwards advisors’ went to work in Obama campaign, too.
I really believe he was paying them to give bad advice and sabotage the other campaigns. Solis now gives more evidence.
Any way you can check this out, Larry? Any canaries from his campaign?

Hope Floats. you said this so well I had to re-

Poor Barky. His dad abandoned him when he was 6 months old and was a drunken letcher. Now Barky wants to take it out on whitey. But hey, banker granny sounds like a cool gal. Why doesn’t he appreciate her? She could have given him to an orphanage what with the stigma in those days. Granny was a courageous woman but grampy and Oby were mean and hateful to her. Nice huh? I agree except the part about rhetorical skills. He’s a damned effective script reader but I always think of rhetorical skills including being able to think on one’s feet, assemble an idea and then communicate that idea in a fashion where, when finished, leaves the other guy wishing he’d said that.

Here’s more — one of the Obama Camp’s famous email campaigns SPREADING LIES ABOUT HILLARY which his O-Bots would then post in blogs all over the net.

Here’s an article that prints the text of this very professionally written email from the Obama Camp:

    —————————–

In the past, people gave Barack Obama flack about his pastor. Now an e-mail claims Hillary’s pastor has been convicted of child molestation. So if Obama bears the guilt for his pastor’s comments, then Hillary should be equally tainted.

As if we even have to tell you, this one is FICTION.

Just like most of these, it takes a sliver of truth and makes it out to be real.

Police charged a former pastor in the village of Clinton, New York, with the crime.

One headline in that area read, “Former Clinton Pastor Charged.”

It has nothing to do with Hillary Clinton at all.

Here is the e-mail for you to read:

IF A PASTOR IS KNOWN BY THE COMPANY THEY KEEP!

When the Rev. William Procanick put his hand on the Bible during his sex-abuse trial in Oneida County Court earlier this year, he swore to tell the whole truth And nothing but the truth.

But as the former Clinton Pastor was sentenced Friday to three years in prison for inappropriately touching a 7-year-old girl at his home last March, Judge Michael L. Dwyer said Procanick sacrificed his honesty the day he testified.

Okay, so now that Bill and Hillary Clinton’s pastor has been convicted of child molestation, will we see the same furor directed at Hillary that Obama has had to endure these last few weeks?

IF A CANDIDATE IS KNOWN BY THE PASTOR THEY KEEP …… Then you need to email this article to everyone you Know.

Here the CLINTON’S Pastor is convicted of child molestation. So, if Obama bears the guilt for his pastor’s comment; then Hillary has to be equally tainted by this man’s crimes.

GIVES NEW MEANING TO SHOE ON THE OTHERS FOOT…

His position on the war is not clear cut. noquarter posted a video recently recorded after his anti-war speech but before he was elected to US Senate and along with some statements made by him and his surrogates are inconsistent. His health care plan is an empty gesture and you can see proof in the “Harry and Louise” ads his campaign ran against Sen. Clinton in Iowa. Almost identical to those the Republicans ran when she first proposed it in 1993. One of his surrogates, Sen. John Kerry, said health care is a “non starter”. Finally, this will be the first election cycle since the Supreme Court ruling Roe V Wade will not be effective to extort women’s votes. Obama proved that he was a terrorist dictator last week.

He called on his supporters to attack his non-supporters. Anyone who criticizes or questions him is “smearing him”.

That is what Osama (bin Laden) does when someone criticizes or questions him, or his messianic figure Mohammed.

That is what Obama’s first cousin did in Kenya – and people went out in the streets and massacred the critics of Obama’s cousin with machetes. Electoral cleansing done in the name of Obama’s father’s sister’s son.

That is what Mugabe does in Zimbabwe.

That is what all terrorists do… call on the public to attack their own people when the leader is questioned.

That is what all dictators do.

And if Obama were to win, he would use the police and his own secret forces to attack all his critics then too.

Obama is an enemy of free speech. He hates questions for which he can’t answer, especially with respect to his criminal and immoral conduct.

No US presidential candidate has ever appealed for the public to attack his critics in all of US history. No US president has ever stooped that low, no matter how much criticism he received.

The Clinton campaign filed many objections. For example in the state of Texas, the Chair of the party, who supported Obama, said Texas didn’t have the time or resources to investigate complaints.

One of the complaints involved an out of state Obama supporter going through the voting line at the poll, signing voters on the caucus form.

There is the odd Indiana election which took eight hours to report due to the fact Gary, a city of 300,000, was experiencing a “slow count”. There were accusations of more than a slow count, but the mayor of Gary, an Obama supporter, dismissed the complaints.

When (and if) Obama secures the nomination, the Republicans will think all kinds of things are needed. He is sitting in the eye of the storm and his campaign knows it. They are trying to preempt the attacks they know are coming by establishing a website refuting smears which are generally speaking valid questions for someone who wants to be president. His statement on NBC interview about his wife being off limits is incompressible. Any politician should know nothing is off limits. Who are you that you don’t understand this simple truth? Hillary backed off some of the attacks she could have made because she has dedicated her life to the Democratic Party and doesn’t want to see it destroyed. It’s amazing you would still be here attacking her when you would be better served looking for some way to convince Obama he should back out now while he has time.

  • whatiswrong

You have missed the intention of those Democrats who will vote for McCain (I have not made that decision yet), but the issue is to protest what the Democratic Party has become. If you have expectations, you fight. It’s as simple as that. Sen. Clinton has not only worked with McCain. She has worked with Gingrich, Lindsay Graham and even Tom Delay to pass legislation she believes will benefit the country. All of those men were pushing for her husband’s impeachment and made negative remarks about her. I believe that is a measure of her integrity and devotion. The Party, on the other hand, is controlled by ruthless and dishonest politicians. I have no idea how long you have been a member of the Party, but supporters of thirty or forty years know something has changed and don’t like what they see. Some protesters in the 60′s and 70′s went to Canada rather than serve in war they felt was immoral. Revolt always requires people to choose how they will fight. The very fact you are willing to bring this up indicates a nastiness in your heart which is exactly what we oppose. Did you hesitate or feel remorse for this? If not, where can you claim the moral high ground over McCain?

WASHINGTON — After an unsuccessful campaign for Congress in 2000, Illinois state Sen. Barack Obama faced serious financial pressure: numerous debts, limited cash and a law practice he had neglected for a year. Help arrived in early 2001 from a significant new legal client — a longtime political supporter.

Chicago entrepreneur Robert Blackwell Jr. paid Obama an $8,000-a-month retainer to give legal advice to his growing technology firm, Electronic Knowledge Interchange. It allowed Obama to supplement his $58,000 part-time state Senate salary for over a year with regular payments from Blackwell’s firm that eventually totaled $112,000.

A few months after receiving his final payment from EKI, Obama sent a request on state Senate letterhead urging Illinois officials to provide a $50,000 tourism promotion grant to another Blackwell company, Killerspin.

Killerspin specializes in table tennis, running tournaments nationwide and selling its own line of equipment and apparel and DVD recordings of the competitions. With support from Obama, other state officials and an Obama aide who went to work part time for Killerspin, the company eventually obtained $320,000 in state grants between 2002 and 2004 to subsidize its tournaments.

Obama’s staff said the senator advocated only for the first year’s grant — which ended up being $20,000, not $50,000. The day after Obama wrote his letter urging the awarding of the state funds, Obama’s U.S. Senate campaign received a $1,000 donation from Blackwell.

Obama’s presidential campaign rejects any suggestion that there was a connection between the legal work, the campaign contribution and the help with the grant. “Any implication that Sen. Obama would risk an ethical breach in order to secure a small grant for a pingpong tournament is nuts,” said David Axelrod, Obama’s chief political advisor.

    Image-conscious

Business relationships between lawmakers and people with government interests are not illegal or uncommon in Illinois or other states with a part-time Legislature, where lawmakers supplement their state salaries with income from the private sector.

But Obama portrays himself as a lawmaker dedicated to transparency and sensitive to even the appearance of a conflict of interest.

Recently, Obama expressed regret over a property deal with Illinois power broker Tony Rezko after Obama was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2004. In an interview this spring with the Chicago Sun-Times, Obama said his regret was not just because the real estate and restaurant entrepreneur was under criminal scrutiny, but because he was “a contributor and someone doing business before the state.”

Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs, who provided The Times with details of Obama’s compensation from EKI, said Obama did nothing wrong acting on behalf of Killerspin. He said the state senator simply wrote a letter backing a worthy project developed by a constituent.

Killerspin’s owner, Blackwell, was a political supporter and friend as well. Both men lived on Chicago’s South Side. Blackwell, a savvy and successful entrepreneur, was one of the first donors to Obama’s early campaigns, including the state senator’s failed bid for a congressional seat in 2000. In the presidential race he is credited on Obama’s website with committing to raise $100,000 to $200,000 for Obama’s campaign.

When Blackwell sought backing for his table tennis tournament in 2002, other politicians, including U.S. Sen. Richard J. Durbin (D-Ill.) and Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley, offered support for the event. But Obama was the only one who provided a letter that became part of the initial application for state funds, state records show. In addition, he wrote a state Senate proclamation heralding the first tournament and an official letter that welcomed “table tennis friends” to the 2004 contest and thanked spectators for helping to “make Chicago the table tennis capital of this nation.”

Obama does Harry and Louise, again
The Obama campaign sends out an ugly mailer. Sorry, but this is just destructive — like the Obama plan, the Clinton plan offers subsidies to lower-income families. And BO himself has conceded that he might have to penalize people who don’t buy insurance until they need care. So this is just poisoning the well for health care reform. The politics of hope, indeed.
Update: Ezra Klein adds a screenshot of the original Harry and Louise ad — they’ve obviously deliberately copied it. Just to remind everyone, Harry and Louise were the center of the vile smear campaign the insurance lobby waged against health care reform in 1993 — and this time a Democratic candidate is doing the smearing for them.
Ezra also points us to an Urban Institute study that shows that yes, mandates are essential. The key passage:
Voluntary measures would tend to enroll disproportionate numbers of individuals with higher cost health problems, creating high premiums and instability in the insurance pools in which they are enrolled.

You’re right, She has a great reservoir or forgiveness and integrity. I asked this in an earlier post, but it needs repeating. In what way are you morally superior to the man who may or may not have said this and which you have no problem repeating? You have an ugly spirit. It reaffirmed my decision to refuse to not vote for Obama under any circumstances. Spite and nastiness flow from the top down and it is corrupting you.

Impossible to know what was going on with PSD.

What about all those personal phone calls?

    [conjecturing freely]

The first questions that come to mind are –

    1. Did she start a new relationship around the time the campaign started? or
    2. If she is long-married and devoted, did her husband or lover get a new lover around that time?

Suborning is expensive; it requires discretion plus out-and-out sleaziness. For someone with some integrity to it would be more prudent to fuck with them via their personal lives, i.e, generate emotional turmoil to distract them and throw them off balance.

Or exploit some other “hooking point.”

I would imagine she had many chats with her colleague Axelrod. As political professionals and fellow Chicagoans they would be above petty partisanship as far as their respective candidates went, with both working toward a common purpose – a Democratic Party president. Axelrod would be only happy to give her the benefits of his wisdom and experience.

    [/conjecturing freely]

    Dear Readers,

Regardless of their post-suspension, feigned civility and willingness to engage issues, which disappears quickly when the precious is critiqued, one must not forget the trolls’ poisonous purging of the web. Remember, they are here for one reason only, which is to destroy forums of public discussion by the death of a thousand cuts. When they flood public forums with their posts they leave no place for non-doctrinary Obama thoughts. As Orwell noted, if they can purge the net of all but double-plus good Obama thoughts, then web people can only experience, think, and live double-plus, good Obama thoughts.

We are guilty of thought and speech crimes against Big Brother. The trolls are the thought police, in training. The only difference between them and the NKVD or the Gestapo is that they are not yet in power, but the strains of “Tomorrow Belongs to Me” resonates in their posts.

If the price of freedom is eternal vigilance, then the trolls stand as an example of why we have to be vigilant. They watch our forums 24/7. We are faced with the difficult task of fighting them without becoming them.

    Yours,
    Steven

I agree, Speaktruth…my jaw dropped when Edwards ganged up on Hillary during that NH debate.

And….I was there in NH, working for him. I remember they pulled me out of one place saying that Obama had it wrapped up and they needed to work elsewhere. I was completely baffled because I’d been on the streets house to house for a few days and ran into next to NO support for Obama. It was all Hillary, and the Hillary supporters were very charming, too. I was so surprised by the strength of her support and the lack of any data reflecting this.

People like Mark Crispin Miller then went off his nut, suggesting that the Clintons tampered with the VOTE, and dismissing my experience as “anecdotal.”

Yeah, the votes AND the residents matched in supporting Hillary, but all these activists who used to claim to be part of the “reality-based” community swallowed the bogus talking points and trumped up media campaign.

I’m afraid even if evidence is produced on Obama’s tampering in the Edwards and Clinton campaigns that the Obamaborg won’t be able to perceive it after turning their brains over to the Collective.

Good questions indeed. Now, if I were of a cynical mind, I would say with this latest move of already choosing staff for your VP, he must be thinking of Hillary, to try to force her to have the woman who ran a crappy campaign for her, but instead, I guess it’s just payoff, to find her a job in his administration with an effort to cozy up to Latino’s. And now it will be left to the eventual nominee to be smart enought to make their own staff, their OWN responsibility.

Mr. Rigman, the Democratic Party is in trouble. If you can’t see that you are so steeped in your own propaganda you can’t see the truth. Only half the amount needed to host the convention in Denver has been raised to date. The DNC is holding press conferences pleading for party unity. There have been very public objections from delegates and I have never seen that happen even during the Vietnam War. This is never going to work out for Sen. Obama due in large part to his own hatefulness and in part to people like you.

I am asking you to see the reality. Obama is ahead of McCain by one point and the small bump he got for reaching the magic number, given to him by supers, has disappeared. His opponent is a seventy two year old man who is a member of a party most would have given no chance to occupy the White House again for years.

Sen. Obama began a losing streak after Feb. which continued to the end of the primaries. Even the day of the last primaries, Sen. Clinton won in South Dakota by a large margin. This is the state Dashel represented for years and even he couldn’t deliver for Obama. He was unable to get the number of pledged delegates after spending unheard of sums of money and outspending Sen. Clinton three to one.

For some incomprehensible reason, the DNC has agreed to move it’s headquarters to Chicago, home of Mayor Daley, Rev. Wright, William Ayers, Fr. Phelger and Tony Rezko, which means any reporter attempting to uncover pertinent information will be required to move to Chicago. This is the antithesis of transparency.

The exit polls were certainly wrong if not completel bogus. Hillary’s supporters are hundreds of times more intellegent than you and your friends. We can think for ourselves and we can smell the stink from New York to California. Hillary and Bill Clinton and their supporters were involved in the fight for Civil Rights probably before you were born and we know Obama could care less. He has never been interested in unity. He is interested in his own power and if you don’t believe that, look down the road he has traveled. It is littered with the bodies of people he has thrown aside in his ambition.

The only way we will be losers is if this man is allowed to become president.

There is only one way we can exact revenge against this mutant. HILLARY SUPPORTERS MUST VOTE MCCAIN by overwhelming numbers! And nobama can’t simply lose the election, he must be trounced, it must be such a devastating defeat, worse than McGovern in ’72 and Mondale in ’84. Both the democratic party and nobama must be punished severely.

Sure, the diary didn’t quote a single member of Congress. It didn’t have to. Don’t you know that Larry has shocking video footage that he’s going to reveal, er, well, maybe never? But that’s not the point. The point is that literally hundreds, maybe thousands, maybe millions, of members of Congress are really pissed off.

I love the no-win mentality of some of these embittered Clinton folks. If Obama doesn’t bring on any Clinton staff, that’s a big F.U. to Hillary. If he does, that’s also a big F.U. to Hillary.

Not to mention, it’s really inconsiderate of him to bring on people from her campaign who lost. Why doesn’t he bring on someone who at leas helped her win the primary? The nerve!!! Obama is so out of touch with reality. But he’ll get a wake-up call in November, when this very realistic scenario plays out: every single person who voted for Hillary in the primary votes for Bob Barr.

Obama and his supporters just don’t get it, I guess.

Padre, I guess this is my cue to pull out the ol’ ad hominem, and say that your post calling me 2/3 of an “ass” reflects poorly on every Clinton supporter?

You need to get some help Palidan and I am serious. Are you bipolar? Or schizophrenic? Or on crack? Your rant sounds like you are in the manic stage of a bipolar disorder. Please, please for your own sake, take your medication.

Obviously BO was the fixed, hand picked candidate. Duh.

Not really. My husband was a delegate in our state (he turned down the national…we can’t afford it) and delegates can vote for whomever they want. Could be why, here at our state convention, Bambi’s crew was indulging in straight out cheating.
