Actually, it is looking more and more like the Democratic party is made up entirely of rats. I think both Hillary and Bill were blindsided and frankly their only recourse is to leave the party and join another or start one from scratch. I think that whether or not Obama wins or loses Hillary will be completely marginalized in the next Congressional session to the point that she’ll be ineffective. Whatever they are feeding her to get her to sit down is nothing but lies.

A few weeks prior, I was with Obama during a swing through New Hampshire, where he rented a Sunseeker RV, loaded up his wife and two little girls, and “vacationed” in the state’s scenic North Country, all the while being trailed by a busload of photographers and reporters, numerous staff vehicles, and half a dozen Secret Service agents. Despite the phoniness of the trip, there was one candid moment that ever so slightly suggests the distance Obama may need to come in winning over the beer drinkers. We stopped at a picturesque redbrick general store—“America’s oldest”—to photograph Obama and his family as they bought sandwiches and fudge and played with a puppy. As Obama stood at the counter paying, he looked quizzically at a display of trailer-hitch covers dressed in the guise of moose and turkeys. Turning to the phalanx of cameramen and reporters, Obama bravely wondered, “Who knows what a hitch ball is? This is a hitch-ball cover. We don’t know what a hitch ball is. Anybody know?” A cameraman politely explained that it’s the silver thing on the back of a truck used to tow a trailer. “Oh, I see,” Obama said, looking as if he was doing a mental calculation about whether this was one of those moments the press would use to make it seem like he’s out of touch.

I think he is showing his hand and flaunting it to Hillary. It is a tit for tat hiring for Doyle helping derail Clinton’s chances. It also is a move generated to insure that Clinton does not accept the VP slot that many people are pushing for. Clinton obviously knows the score about Doyle. If she didn’t before she does now. I think the big problem for Obama is that having Clinton run on the ticket is probably his only hope of even being competitive in the fall. Obviously, he isn’t concerned about winning or losing (probably understands he has no chance). He is setting things up for 2012.

Politico reports that Jodie Evans, the founder of Code Pink, has joined Team Obama as a bundler. She has pledged to raise at least $50,000 to elect Barack Obama to the White House. However, she has a long history of making controversial statements that may overshadow the campaign itself — including some apologetics for 9/11:

According to research being circulated by GOP sources, Evans has a record of inflammatory statements such as saying that women were better off in Iraq under Saddam Hussein, “Men are dying in their Hummers in Iraq so you can drive around in yours” and, my favorite, that the invasion of Iraq amounted to “global testosterone poisoning.”

Evans, though, is not just a single-issue crusader. She’s worked in politics and liberal causes for decades, including stints working for Jerry Brown during his years as governor and in his 1992 White House run.

Evans may have made controversial statements in the past, but that won’t hold a candle to the statements she made on a radio show called “The Conscience of Kansas”. Paul Ibbetson spoke with Evans about the 9/11 attacks, and …. well, listen for yourself:

Ibbetson tries to explain that we hadn’t done anything to provoke the 9/11 attacks by saying we hadn’t invaded Afghanistan. Evans replies that we were in Saudi Arabia, which to her gave al-Qaeda and Osama bin Laden a rational reason to kill thousands of Americans in terrorist attacks. Note that she says, “I don’t think any terrorist attack is justified,” and then says we should listen to Osama bin Laden and change our policies because — “Sometimes, it would be a good idea to listen to why someone is trying to blow you up”.

Q: Do you think that’s a valid argument?

A: Sure. Why do we have bases in the Middle East?

Does Barack Obama share these views with his new bundler and the founder of Code Pink? Does he also feel that we should heed Osama bin Laden’s speeches and adjust our policies in the Middle East accordingly? If Evans represents the kind of people Obama wants to attract to his campaign, that says quite a bit about his approach to terrorism and the defense of American interests in the Middle East.

Is the Obama Campaign giving the Democratic Party to K Street?

June 15, 2008 (LPAC)–Reports are pouring in from Democratic Party activists and Hillary Clinton supporters all over the country, about an ongoing attempted purge of the Democratic National Committee, state party organizations, and even the Obama campaign itself. It seems that Obama campaign godfather and former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle (D-SD) is running a house-cleaning, that is hopelessly splitting the Democratic Party. One Democratic member of Congress bitterly complained to LPAC representatives, attending the California Democratic Party Executive Board meeting this weekend, that some of Senator Obama’s staunchest supporters among African-American elected officials, are now being isolated from the presumed Democratic nominee, and are even being purged from the campaign organization. “The old Democratic establishment has moved in, and totally taken over.”

These reports prompted Lyndon LaRouche to ask: “Is Tom Daschle out to turn over the entire Democratic Party to his friends on K Street–even at the expense of winning the elections in November? Traditionally, all major presidential pre-candidates address the convention, and a roll call vote is taken, before the winning candidate is annointed. “If Howard Dean could prevent Hillary Clinton from attending the convention in Denver, he would,” one top Clinton supporter reported.

Do you think as I do, that Gores endorsment of Obama at this late stage, on a Monday night, with a kind of strange tone and feel to his speach was weird? It came off really spooky to me. I’m not a Democrat myself, I agree with those who recognized that Hillary was treated with great disrespect by the Democrats during the primary.

After Democrats lose this year there will be federal investigations as to how the nomination was fixed.
Heads will roll and some may end up in prison.
Chicago politics will severely scrutinized leading to dismantling of their power system.
Illegal activities by officials like Daschle through their lobby activity will also be exposed and punished.
International money illegally obtained for the Obama campaign will also lead to arrests and convictions.
The democrat party will face probation and be forced to change their illegal nomination process by the establishment an oversight committee.

Obamelites: They’ve turned politics into a business and Obama is their cash cow. A number of super-delegates fit this mold. They generally cluster around Obama in a protective swarm and rarely consort with the “little” people. They are almost never seen in public but often on TV. Because of their rarity in public, they are not much of a threat in terms of individual controntation. But regarding the power they intend to wield as a bludgeon, they have great potential to damage America as a whole. In addition, they are known to betray former supporters/supportees on the turn of a dime, or, perhaps more accurately, in exchange for a dime. They should never be trusted.

Under normal circumstances, I would not assume that anyone reaches an opinion through a character flaw or extreme ignorance. But Obama supporters are an exception. Obama supporters continually slander and verbally bully those who dare to think differently than they. That is a clear indication of a character flaw. Obama supporters often know much less about their own candidate (not to mention history and geography) than the average person on the street that doesn’t even follow politics.

First, her hiring strikes me as curious in one respect — is it common practice to hire the VP’s chief of staff before you select a VP? Wouldn’t the person selected for VP want to make that hire? Second, if Solis Doyle’s hire is in fact the proverbial horsehead in Hillary’s bed, is it really wise to irk the Clintons? Can’t they wreak tremendous havoc behind the scenes? They already have an incentive to set Hillary up as the I-told-you-so candidate in 2012, never mind the fact that this is a personal insult to the Clintons’ considerable egos. And if that’s the case, isn’t this move a breathtaking display of hubris on the part of the Obama campaign?

It matters not at all to the DNC & Howie Dean that Obama LOST — the guy is a loser and he WILL lose the General Election to McCain.

In spite of a mole — Ms. Doyle — running Clinton’s campaign — and a hostile media — Clinton WON.

Aren’t you supposed to be celebrating another fine endorsement that will put Barry over the top? Run along and blog with the McCain people. I’m always perplexed by this victory vs. defeat theme in Obama supporters’ postings.

The point of the Dem nomination fight is not to dominate or defeat an enemy. The idea is that none of us are smarter than all of us. We get together to pick a candidate. It should never be treated as a winner take all proposition.

To be fair, Clinton and Obama both ran good and bad campaigns for different reasons. They both received approximately half the votes and half the pledged delegates. To paint Obama’s victory (yes, I’ll say he won) as a repudiation of some sort of evil is just ridiculous.

Even some small concessions from Obama would probably be ebough to bring the entire Democratic party together.

I personally, despite being active in Democratic politics my entire life, believe that John McCain will be a far better President than Obama. For that reason, I’m delighted that the Obama team’s refusal to be gracious will cost him the election.

Gergen surprised me…..he said it was an incredibly stupid move by the Obama campaign to do this NOW (could have waited) while Obama still needed to “unify” the party. Gergen implied that the willful choice to do so now was a very very stupid move politically.

He underestimated the good will of Americans.

I think that’s what offends me most.

I don’t think Obama is a Black nationalist.

However, I think he vastly underestimates the good will of Americans. He has no trust in his fellow people.

I believe all supporters of HRC should take a second look at any thought of supporting obama. First reason I will not support obama is the way he and his campaign and many in the whoremedia decided to play the race card and then blamed HRC and Bill. I will wait with baited breath to hear obama apologize to both Clintons, but it will not be forthcoming. Now we have a suspected mole in the HRC campaign with this Solis Doyle person and with obama’s campaing placing her in the VP vetting slot, this is a slap in the face to all HRC supporters as it is a sign that HRC will not be asked to take the VP position.
With obama saying he can win the white house without florida and ohio I say try it and if obama thinks he can win MS. GA. NC. SC. with its huge AA vote, will not happen.

I thought it was appalling when some of the Obama supporters booed when they heard Hillarys name during Al Gores endorsement of Barry.

The Solis-Doyle affair shows that BO isn’t even interested in pretending that he wants to mend fences or that he needs the support of Clinton voters. Incredibly arrogant! Main stream media is playing this incident as a poke in Clinton’s eye. Strange that they even understand that. Maybe someday they’ll realize what an utter jerk he is and that they have been played for fools.

I visited with friends in Florida this weekend. I didn’t have to say a word. Obama is cursed in Florida. No sunshine for Barry.

My usual thoughts …

I am mystified actually why we would care so much what this woman does. After all, she is a political operative.

These people live for elections and they only happen every four years. There are limited candidates and limitless people vying for the same job.

Very much like MSM jobs, yes?

So an election operative like a news host, will end up in one of two categories:

1. Principled people who wash out and forgotten quickly

2. Whores to their jobs.

I say that you can’t be successful in either job without becoming a whore to your job — meaning you will do whatever it takes to get the job and will go further to keep it after tasting fame and money.

So Patti is doing what Patti does. She is a woman in a tough and competitive field. Is she wrong? You bet. Is she being used? Without a doubt.

But she has a job. And if Barry becomes president, she will eat for a long time to come.

I think it is wrong to expect snakes to act like bunnies while they are hunting.

Ms. Solis will get her just desserts eventually. It never fails. The Universe does not run on our wishes — it works on a delicate balance of action and reaction.
