ABC News: “Danger Signs” for Obama

While the question of how Barack Obama became the Democratic Party’s presumptive nominee has many of us speculating, his candidacy for president is being questioned by voters outside of the party. His lack of experience stands out more vividly, now that Hillary Clinton, the Democratic candidate with experience and know-how, has dropped out:

Obama faces an additional problem that only half of the voters saying he has the necessary experience to be president.

“If you look at the key question of experience, that may be what’s holding him back,” Stephanopoulos said. “Only 50 percent of voters say that Barack Obama has the experience to be president. A full 46 percent say, no, he doesn’t have the experience . . . That’s one of the reasons they are going on the foreign trips.”

According to the same ABC News today, Obama did not get the traditional bounce in the polls after “defeating” Hillary Clinton and receiving her endorsement:

No Bounce, Resistance from Clinton Supporters

Apparently, Obama claims that his lack of bounce is due to McCain getting a free pass from the media. ABC sees the humor in this:

During the primary,”John McCain basically was getting a pass, both from the media . . . as well as from other opponents. And so I think that explains it,” said Obama of the close race. It is an ironic accusation from Obama.

Contrary to certain pundits (if we consider Frank Rich a pundit), Obama’s biggest problem comes from convincing women to vote for him.  And not just former Hillary supporters:

Women, particularly married white women, however, may be a problem for Obama, according to the Washington Post/ABC poll. It showed that McCain has a 20 point advantage over Obama among married white women, a group that George Bush also won in the last two presidential elections.

As we know, Obama’s most loyal group of supporters are the young, many of whom are first-time voters. But these voters are not reliable, and the Obama campaign knows it. Moreover, older voters, who make going to the polls a priority, create another problem for him:

While Obama runs well among younger voters, they are not always reliable when it comes to showing up at the polls. Meanwhile, he is 12 points behind McCain among the more reliable older voters

Adding to Obama’s woes, former Hillary supporters are not flocking to him now, as he claimed they would early in the primary.  Elections are won and lost with the votes of women:

In addition, nearly a quarter of Clinton’s voters are holding back on their support, according to the ABC News/Washington Post poll. ”If that number stays that high, it will be difficult for Barack Obama to win,” Stephanopoulos said.

Yes, this is what we’ve been saying, isn’t it?

From the June 17 Chicago Sun Times about Patti Solis Doyle,

For tea leaf readers: The Solis Doyle appointment could be seen as a sign that Sen. Hillary Clinton is drifting down and out from Obama’s vice presidential short list. The minus is that perhaps Obama should not have sent this signal so soon, as he is busy wooing disgruntled Clinton supporters.

Doyle — the sister of Ald. Danny Solis (25th) — is close to Obama chief strategist David Axelrod, and the Obama trusted inner-circle is essentially a close-knit group of people who have known one another for years.

More information for those who might think Patti may have been a mole or agent provocateur inside the Hillary campaign.

      • Connie

I don’t want Hillary to be BO’s VP, but appointing Solis Doyle to that post is BO’s way of saying that Hillary is out of the VP list and one way also of saying that all the while he got one over Hillary right at the start. maybe he was laughing. But we’ll see who will have the biggest laugh. You see, how mean, crabby, and cruel he is. And that Solis-Doyle. She could have not accepted Hillary’s appointment if she liked Obama more. Money talks!!!

        • Jack

She could have not accepted Hillary’s appointment if she liked Obama more.

It’s not a matter of “liking”. Business is business, and politics in Chicago is like Cold War spy intrigue.

          More from the Washington post

Other Clinton insiders also seethed. “Who can blame Obama for rewarding Patti? He would never be the nominee without her,” one person who has worked for both Clintons and remains close to them said.

It’s looking more and more like Solis Doyle was an obama “plant” in the campaign of HRC, designed to bring her down.

“In addition, nearly a quarter of Clinton’s voters are holding back on their support, according to the ABC News/Washington Post poll.”

Does anyone else think that Obama knows that that 25% of us are too smart to be fooled by his crap, and that’s why he won’t truly be bothered with attempting to win us over?

What fools…how blind are people? We just went through the SAME crap with Bush.

    • JAY in Los Angeles

Everytime I read something like this, all I can think is how much a I don’t want him trying to win me over. He can’t and I assume he knows it. He cannot erase 20 years in that church, he cannot add real experience. End of story.

      • Havoc

In regards to Sen. Obama’s experience and record, you can look up information for yourselves, but if you can’t, I will do you that one favor and post some of the accomplishments of Senator Obama. Of the 15 bills Senator Obama sponsored or co-sponsored in 2005-7 that became law: Two addressed foreign policy: Promote relief, security and democracy in the Congo (2125) Develop democratic institutions in areas under Palestinian control (2370). Three addressed public health: Improve mine safety (2803) Increased breast cancer funding (597) Reduce preterm delivery and complications, reduce infant mortality (707). Two addressed openness and accountability in government: Strengthening the Freedom of Information Act (2488) Full disclosure of all entities receiving federal funds (2590) Two addressed national security Extend Terrorist Risk Insurance (467) Amend the Patriot Act (2167) One addressed the needs of the Armed Forces Wave passport fees to visit graves, attend memorials/funerals of veterans abroad (1184).

In Obama’s own words Pay close attention to the last comment!! Below are a few lines from Obama’s books. His own words: From Dreams of My Father: ‘I ceased to advertise my mother’s race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.’ From Dreams of My Father : ‘I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mothers race.’ From Dreams of My Father: ‘There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white.’ From Dreams of My Father: ; ‘It remained necessary to prove which side you were on , to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.’ From Dreams of My Father: ‘I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn’t speak to my own. It was into my father’s image, the black man, son of Africa , that I’d packed all the attributes I sought in myself, the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela.’ From Audacity of Hope: ‘I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift”
RED FLAG: WARNING: DANGER AHEAD:”I WILL STAND WITH THE MUSLIMS, SHOULD THE POLITICAL WINDS SHIFT.” PLS. WAKE-UP, AMERICA!!!

        • Susan1968

          HAvoc.

Google “Obama Jones” and you’ll see Obama was handed those bills after other people worked on them for years.

Obama got credit for their work because Jones assigned it to him so he could “pump up his resume” for his run in the US Senate.

Doesn’t it strike you as odd that Mr. 200-plus present votes, in the last year of his 4 year tenue in Illinois, suddenly gets credit for all these bills.

          Hmmmm.

        • http://www.http://unityindiversity-spiritedpolitics.blogspot.com jmk

Yeh, he’s a big fan of protecting our rights, like his lack of a stand on retroactive release of telecoms for 1st ammendment violations ?- or maybe his lack of calling even one meeting of the crucial Afghanistan committee where he was given the Chairman’ job? And then there’s his YES vote on the Bush Cheney energy bill. Goes with his energy crisis solution #1: Stop driving SUVs. Duh

I think you should go to the Washington Post online record of baby boy’s votes since in the Senate to get your facts straight. Sounds like someone downloaded on you – with a list of every possible legislation that was going on around him, to which he could claim credit, not even requiring if it passed – That’s pretty much his pattern, guess you didn’t know.

    • Jack

“As we know, Obama’s most loyal group of supporters are the young, many of whom are first-time voters.”

Do we know that? It’s a common narrative for politicians, particularly Democratic ones, to claim excitement in youth for their candidacy.

But what I have seen and heard about like campus excitement, B. Clinton, even Ronald Reagan, stirred up more excitement.

      • JAY in Los Angeles

From the young people I know, yes — it’s true. The under 30 set put him where his is. (Unless you count Dean, Pelosi and Brazille).

    • Joe Smith

4.5 million votes is not something that can easily be dismissed. 4 % point can easily cost the election for BHO. Especially when the number could be unevenly distributed over a few swing states.

Gee. Even Dukakis has a 17 point bounce! But then again, women weren’t ticked off at him.

    • Clinton Fan

Well, he didn’t denigrate them like TEAM OBAMA does. Dukakis got respect from women because he gave it.

For whatever his weaknesses, it was plain he loved and respected his wife. And I never heard the Duke call anyone “Sweetie.”

      • terri

I attended a presentation given by Dukakis on health care at our university a few years ago. He did a great job, really knew his stuff. Makes me think the DNC just cannot figure out how to run winning campaigns. Wonder if DONNA BRAZILE was Dukakis’ campaign manager?

By the way, can anyone defend McCain remarks the other day that it is “not too important” when troops come home from Iraq, as long as casualties stay low? The fact is, as long as they are patrolling the streets of Iraq, they are in danger. Troop deaths are down, but 4100 Americans have died over there now. Almost 1000 since the Surge. Plus, these guys are on there 3,4 or 5th tour of duty. McCain doesn’t get it on Iraq. Barack Obama opposed this War from the start. Unlike Hillary, unlike McCain. Read his 2002 speech against the War.

Did I say “pray to the controlling one”? Obviously I meant prey. But Prayer IS what Daniel needs. Since he seems to be worshipping the wrong “god”.

    • POdVet

Obama had no intelligence before the war. In 2004 he said if he had been forced to vote he didn’t know how he would have voted. And that was still before he had any intelligence access. Hillary voted after giving a very pointed speech that it was a vote for authorizing force only as a last result. Read her speech and find out the truth, not Obama’s BS version of the truth.

      http://clinton.senate.gov/speeches/iraq_101002.html

Based on the information she had, and not KNOWING that the Bush administration had manufactured false intel and buried contrary intel, she made the right decision. And she’s the only Democrat who’s had the courage to stand by that decision rather than run from it like Kerry and Edwards. She did it because based on what the intel showed, it was necessary.

As far as McCain’s remarks, he was referring to the fact that we maintain troops in theater even after hostilities have ended. We still have 60,000 in Germany, around 45,000 in Japan and they have been maintained at nearly the same level since WWII. Even Obama has plans to leave approx 60,000 in Iraq, but along with it he wants to have thousands of private security agents from Blackwater, at $1,200 per day!

Those you see following the Obamessiah are not Democrats, though the species may try to look similar. They are in fact nothing but JACKASSES!

          *Jeopardy tune*

          Times up!
And the answer is 3 1/2 times as much as a patient WITH insurance for the exact same care! I hope that $200,000 raise she got immediately following Obama’s appointment to the US Senate was worth destroying the lives of all those poor people in Illinois!

Yeah, Obama voted to cut off funding for the war. Wait a minute, you mean Mr. I’m Against the Iraq War voted to continue the funding, and now he’s saying he’ll depend on the military leaders to tell him what should be done about the war. You mean he’s not going to call for an immediate withdrawal; maybe Mr. Changey is hoping we won’t notice his bobbing and weaving technique.

    • David

      Daniel,

5000 black american men lost their lives due to violent crime in the year 2005 only. We have fought a war in Iraq since 2003(that is 5 years) and fortunately we have only lost 4000 soldiers(I wish we had lost none).

Just wanted to give you some perspective. By the way I was against the war before Bush went in and I am a republican.

McCain was RIGHT on the surge, Barack was WRONG!

      • power coast FL dave

One fact has nothing to do with the other, WTH is wrong with you?

I’m apologize, I didn’t mean to be vituperative, calling you a stupid asshole, but the facts of the 5000 dad in Iraq are NOT comparable to the murder rate, in America.

At least not in the way you intended, your comment struck me as wishful thinking, and with so much at stake, truth is paramount.

Two different dynamics are at play, the causation different, so the NUMBER of deaths should not in any way shape or form indicate the EFFECTS of the war.

It is bankrupting the US, period.

    • Dawn

In case your not aware of it Obama is not going to end the war, he might pull some troops out and give more power to BLACKWATER like we need that

    • KarenAnn

Daniel, Obama’s speech was a no lose situation for him. If the war went well no one would have even noticed the speech and he certainly would not have referred to it. If it was noticed all he had to say was that he did not have the same intelligence that the Congress did because he was not in a position to vote for it.(double entendre there?) If the war went badly, then he could toot the horn as he has been doing. The point is that all the Senators and House members were making their decisions about the vote based on information they were given. They are not mind readers. If your boy was so anti-war then he would have been voting his conscience (if he has one) and not voting yes to every Iraq spending bill that was presented in the Senate. If his 2002 speech is the sole basis to vote for him then I should be President because I bored my family to tears giving all the reasons an invasion was a bad idea, mostly based on historical facts not emotion based rethoric. The guy does not have the experience. He is so interested in foreign afairs that he can’t find the time to call even one meeting of a sub-committee he is chairman of on NATO and Afganistan. He has put forth a bill to spend 800+ billion in Africa, where aid usually ends up in the pockets of despots rather than the people. He campaigned for his cousin in Kenya who wants to make Kenya a terrorist haven where no other government can have a terrorist extradited, no matter the crime. Judgement and knowledge are not his strong suits. He can’t develop his own platform, he waits until others have established theirs and then tweaks it and takes it as his own so that it looks like they are alike on issues. If you think that he will have the military out of Iraq after 16 months smoothly and without incident you do not know much about logistics. Has he answered the question about what to do about the 300,000 international aid workers that are there? How will they then be protected? Or maybe you don’t care. How about the Sunnis that have helped the coalition forces? What happens when the slaughter starts? Will you wring your hands and say, ‘well they deserved it’, like the good Rev Wright says we deserved 9/11? Maybe you just like the word ‘change’. Everything is just wrong, so change it. Well as one who has lived through many political seasons and a multitude of those using the slogan ‘change’ I can tell you that the only things that change are the players and the location. And come to think about it Obama even used someone elses campaign slogans. Here in Massachusetts, Deval Patrick, who’s campaign manager was David Axelrod, used “CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN” and “YES WE CAN!” in his 2005 run for Governor. NOTHING has changed, except the player. Obama wasn’t even original in his campaign slogans. lol

      • jbjd

I live in Massachusetts, too. And I can’t understand why, given what voters here now know about David Axelrod’s previous protege, Governor Patrick, Senator Obama still polls way ahead of Senator McCain here.

        • KarenAnn

Me either. One can only hope that those polled are only saying that but will not in Nov. Additionally, I am always a bit suspicious of polls since they take a rather small sample relative to a large population; ie, 1000 polled out of a potential pool of, say, 1,000,000. (I don’t know how many registered voters there are in MA). It also depends on the geographic area they polled in. Eastern MA can be a different voting demographic than Western MA.

    • Last Lemming

But he never said he would withdraw the troops.

It’s almost as if there is the Obama fantasy crowd then the Republican fantasy crowd, it’s breathtaking in it’s inability to accurately assess information, and understand implications.

      Simply breathtaking.

I was reading some excerpts today from high level meetings between generals and such which had occurred during Vietnam, and the same conditions exist today, but the actors are even weaker, here.

A concern was if the US lost, it would be viewed as weak, unmanly, it’s reputation mangled. This was in 1965.

But they had no solution, same as today, they have no clue how to deal with the chaos they see, no clue how to solve the problem, except throwing more gas on the issues, or some cockamamie plan to start civil wars, or other such pentagon nonsense.

They thought in terms of simplistic violence, their own egos, first. How could they let a kook lead psychological operations, see a problem there, a man who can’t see through his own curtains?

Other than that, it’s buptkus, though I do think Gates is smart enough to grasp the greater implications.

Reading the ideas of the generals through those documents, they were completely out of touch, completely paranoid, and not fighting the good fight, but fighting their egos and personal fears, some very very bad officers in terms of skill, and personality adjustment.

Clinton, like Kennedy, and others before her, grasps the issue, KNOWS how to start building a foundation.

It’s a wash, until they get the independent, intelligent republican or democrat back…

      • power coast FL dave

They thought in terms of simplistic violence, their own egos, first. How could they let a kook lead psychological operations, see a problem there, a man who can’t see through his own curtains?

This should have read, “for example, how could they let a kook lead psychological operations, say, bombing cambodia as a form of psychological warfare, say, as opposed to a truly tactical move…”

        FOR INSTANCE…

This is the Karl Rove wedgie all over again (the real danger to Obama): “In a conference call with reporters, McCain adviser Randy Scheunemann said Tuesday: “Senator Obama is a perfect manifestation of a September 10th mind-set. …” What about the pre 9/11 Republican mind set that allowed for the 9/11 security breach in the first place along with the end of any semblance of “expertise” on terrorist group op capabilities and motivation?

  • Daniel

This blog really is getting ridiculous. Obama won, fair and square. He won more states, more votes, more delegates. And he wasn’t for the War at the beginning, like Hillary. Now, he’s up in all the polls. He’s even leading in Virginia! He leads comfortably in Ohio and Penn. Remember, if he wins the Kerry states + Ohio, he is our President. Which will upset the angry Hillary supporters, the racists, and the Republicans.

    • ulahane

Ohio = no chance for Obama.

      • LuigiDaMan

Second that emotion. Ohio will go Repug this year (it’s a damn shame!) I deal with down ticket Dems and they are all pissed that it’s going to be much more of a dogfight for them now that Barry the Wonderkind is the nominee. Not only do they expect no coat tails to ride on, they expect reaction AGAINST them for being Dems!

    • Hope

Hey everyone..is this the best talking point they have now, Fair and Square?

      Stealing votes
      suppressing votes
      illegal votes
      stuffing caucuses
calling in results 6 hrs late
      illegal campaigning
      electioneering

      and then theres the DNC…

We’ll see how Fair and Square works in November.
      PUMA

      • Daniel

Wow, talk about anger. HE WON. He won more votes, twice as many states, a ton more delegates. Get over it sweetie.

        • Northwest rain

No HE did NOT win. Obama LOST — he had to have the DNC “award” him delegates that he DID NOT WIN!

Hillary Clinton WON the popular vote. Each of Clinton’s delegates represent MORE voters than Obama’s delegates. The Primary was rigged from start to finish BY the DNC for their boy-Obama.

Obama can NOT win a fair election — voters do NOT like nor trust snObama.

You sad idiot Obamabot — you have hitched your wagon to a loser — a huge loser.

A toast to the defeat of Obama in November!!!

    • Greg

Are you kidding? He is winning by 3 points in Ohio based on RCP’s average, and the only reason he isn’t statistically tied is because of one poll released yesterday by PPP saying he was up by 11 points.

RCP has him with 272 EV’s vs. McCain’s 266 when you remove toss-up states:

      http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/maps/obama_vs_mccain/?map=10

Before she dropped out, Clinton was had 327 EV’s.

Problem is that to many of us, McCain is better.. at least he is trustworthy and a patriot.

      • Daniel

Umm, 272 electoral votes means Obama wins. Sorry for your loss.

        • beebop

The election is in November. You wait until they start the 527′s. Expect the Republicans to do so much that HRC as a Democrat would not do. The independents who weren’t paying attention? The republicans he thought would cross over? And. Speaking of republicans. All of that funding from Rush’s guys has dried up. Have you noticed? Only now do we really see who was benefitting from republican money so do you get it now? They WANT BO. They KNOW they can beat him in November. Get it, now?

Does Obama know ANYONE that is not a terrorist, crook or America haters? I loved the letter from Tony Rezko last week too, Rezko claimed the Gov’t wants him to RAT out his friends. Obama would write letters in support of Rezko getting those Gov’t backed loans for his Slums, which would then go Bankrupt sticking the taxpayers with the bill.

    • blueasthesky

You can’t read his speech because there’s no record of it. There’s no video or audio recording of it, and it wasn’t important enough to be show up in the papers. Therefore anything that purports to be “the speech” is ex post facto.

      • ritamary

Thank you for mentioning that, blueasthesky. Where is the wonderful anti-war speech that made BO so much better than Hillary? Where is it? And not an Axelrove reconstruction of the speech…

Obama won more state caucuses (and Western sates) that he won’t win in Nov.

Obama came in SECOND in votes cast. Check your addition.

Do you have PROOF he even gave that “speech” against the war? I mean, an actual recording of it? Not a recreation of the speech, but the real thing?

      I thought not.

And while you’re looking for it, perhaps you can find his tax records for the last 12 years, his university transcripts, his medical records and his ACTUAL birth certificate (not the summaries)?

Party loyalty and oaths are for bots.

      • http://undercoverblackman.blogspot.com undercoverblackman

But I don’t understand. Won’t a Democrat in the White House be CRUCIAL to attaining Sen. Clinton’s most important goal… health-care reform?

McCain in the White House means no health-care reform.

So how is that being true to Hillary? I don’t get it at all. Do the issues mean nothing? Is it all about runaway emotions, personalized politics and grudge-holding?

        • ulahane

Good question but the answer is no. Obama’s opt out plan is seriously flawed, with no effective means of lowering runaway costs. If implemented, it will fail and for decades, conservatives will be able to say we tried universal health care and it failed.

Better to wait four years and get a candidate with a better plan than to put in a flawed plan that will delay it by many years.

It isn’t grudge holding; I just think that Obama would be much worse, in the long term, than McCain.

        • Clinton Fan

          No, not at all.

A vet0-proof Congress can force McCain to do damn near anything, save wear a purple tutu and dance on his toes.

Clinton can herd that health care package through the legislative process without too much trouble, and a majority legislature can override any McCain veto.

Another bozo who slept through that civics class…

          • http://undercoverblackman.blogspot.com undercoverblackman

            • NY still loves Hillary

I supported Hillary because she is true to me and issues that are important to me, not the other way around. I don’t do anything because she tells me to. She is paid to represent me, not vice versa.

You guys keep missing the point – it’s not about Clinton anymore. It’s about saving America, democracy, and the Constitution.

If you have been called names here at NQ, you must realize that many Obama supporters have been coming here for months calling us every name imaginable, slinging mud and epithets, and doing whatever they can to aggravate us. it has nothing to do with Hillary, Given a choice between McCain and Obama I chose McCain. It has to do with Obama, Wright, Rezko, Auchi, Ayers, Dorhn, Odingo, I trust McCain who for all the things I don’t agree with I know he loves America. By the choices Obama has made the past 20 years, to hang out with racists and terrorist, i do not want him or his friends any where near the White house. I voted for Hillary, but if the Dem Nom was Edwards, Biden ect I would have voted for them, I can NOT vote for Obama.
Then as an added bonus, I don’t think the Dem party cares about the same things I do any more and Donna was happy to say they don’t need us

Hillary Holding Private Conference Call With Top Fundraisers On Thursday*
    By Greg Sargent – June 16, 2008, 5:31PM
This one bears watching: Hillary is set to hold a private conference call with her top fundraising leadership on Thursday evening.

A source forwards me the email from her national finance director, Jonathan Mantz, inviting the money people on to the call. The email says that she wants to thank them for their “dedication and commitment” to her candidacy.

But the real question is what she’ll say to them about Obama — how strongly she’ll signal to her top money people that it’s time to get serious about throwing their fundraising weight behind the Illinois Senator.

Obama himself wants this. He is privately signaling to Hillary’s top supporters that the time for them to start helping build a fearsome general election war-chest to take on the McCain-GOP apparatus is right now.

We’ll bring you details on the call if we can get them.

Late Update: I’m told by a Clinton source that she will be using the call to urge her top fundraisers to throw their energy behind Obama.

    * Late Late Update: A source tells me that the call has now been rescheduled for Thursday; I’ve edited the above to reflect this.

    • athena

Heard many have already said – “we will pay for Hillary but not for Obama.” This will be interesting. How exactly do you ask someone for money that is for someone else especially when you know they don’t trust or like Obama?

    • stodghie

you know the voters and money donors all have minds of their own. we know she is being pressured by these asses. we know she is taking one for the party, but we don’t and we won’t.

Pls. inform your contact to please send our LOVE and SUPPORT to the most qualified presidential candidate, Senator Hillary Clinton. As she lovingly told us,when we fall, get up and move on. That advice is in our hearts and minds and we’re proud to say that we follow it.
For the country and for her, we, her supporters are fighting to make the race even.We will vote for her or for McCain.
We cannot accept the injustice Obama is treating her and her supporters. He has to earn our respect!
      We love you, Hillary!

  • DoubleRider

There is only one poll that counts. Until then the Republicans will be smearing and sliming. Obama is going to wilt in the onslaught that will follow his coronation. You ain’t seen nothin yet! Been there, done that with Kerry, Gore, Dukakis, Mondale and McGovern. We had a chance this year to break the mold, but no, we have to pick someone who votes present and is absent from his only real job.

I guess we wait another 4 years, we just got through 8, how bad can 4 more be?

    • wac for hillary

Not as bad as four years of an Obama presidency would be.

Wow, you folks really are brain-washed on this site. The Republicans would smear Hillary just as hard as they will smear Barack. They have more to work with on Hillary (Watergate, Travelgate, voting for the War, Bosniagate etc). What do they have on Barack? This mythical Michelle Obama tape that Larry Johnson hears from a friend who heard it from a friend who heard it from a friend is for real? C’mon. Let’s focus on the issues. Obama is right on the issues (as was Hillary) and McCain is wrong. That’s what’s important.

Indeed, Daniel, Hillary was the GOP’s last best hope to win in 2008. There’s no she could’ve gotten a majority of the American people to vote for her, with all that Clinton baggage.

One candidate has captured the imagination of the world… and has the Republicans drenched in flop-sweat.

On the website of the Republican National Committee, you’ll find plenty of photos of Obama… only one of McCain. They’re going negative out of a lack of confidence. (Against Hillary, they would’ve gone negative with confidence.)

Thats funny, I could swear they interviewed a bunch of Republicans donating to and voting for Obama because they knew they couldn’t beat Hillary. Even Obama knew it!

Attention All Texas Republicans and Independents!!

On March 4th, Texas Republicans and Independents will have an opportunity to end Hillary Clinton’s (and Bill’s) presidential ambitions once and for all!

Since Texas has on open primary, Republicans and Independents should sign in at their polling place and request a Democratic ballot. They should then vote for Barack Obama. Even James Carville admits that if Hillary loses Texas, “she’s done!” Republicans can help make this a reality!!! Just think, no more Clintons in the White House!

Voting Democratic this one time will have NO effect on your ability to vote in the next Republican primary or obviously on your vote in November. Since John McCain has the Republican nomination locked up, voting for McCain or Huckabee at this point will have no effect on the outcome on the Republican side.

After you vote during early voting or on March 4th, you ARE NOT done! Report back to your regular polling place at 7PM on March 4th to sign the Barack Obama list for caucus delegates. In a little known Texas voting quirk, 67 delegates to the Democratic convention will be seated because of these caucuses. This is a full one-third of the total number of Texas delegates. For Hillary to lose, she has to lose the primary votes AND the caucus votes.

I urge you to vote against Hillary Clinton by voting for Barack Obama. Please forward this e-mail to all your Texas Republican and Independent friends so that we can help ensure the Clinton’s defeat on March 4th!!!

Still want to claim your Obamessiah isn’t a slimeball with no morals at all?

Those you see following the Obamessiah are not Democrats, though the species may try to look similar. They are in fact nothing but JACKASSES!

You’re either high on smack or your IQ is lower then a soccer score, Obama has a limited coalition of voters and thanks to supporters like yourself they have alienate a good chuck of the Democratic party. As for the talking point as the Republicans want Hillary sorry to burst that little talking point but here’s the facts

        1. Look at the states Obama won, Obama has won mostly Republican states that he has little to no chance of winning. In Mississippi the Republicans helped get the black vote out for him not the state Democratic party and the dude that invited him has a shady past.

2.When primaries are open meaning Republicans can vote too he wins.. Flip side when these primaries are closed meaning Democrats only Obama have tough time making head waves.

        3. When have you known conservative bloggers or right wing media elites praising an Democrat?

The Republican are going negative because they know your guy has a glass jaw and he’s the weakest Dem to win the Democratic nomination since 1988.

        • http://undercoverblackman.blogspot.com/ undercoverblackman

Well, I am so glad I did come to this site because I do now see that Obama is truly a weak candidate. I guess I was a little too quick to just vote for him because he was black.

I am going to have to go back and look over his stuff again. I hope the rest of the people out there see the real Obama soon. How could I have believed all that trash he has been talking about. I guess it would pay for me to look a little closer.

          • http://undercoverblackman.blogspot.com undercoverblackman

^ But as I ponder, one thing I will remain convinced of is that Sen. Clinton could never have been elected president in November, and that her supporters have no one to blame but the candidate and her staff for their unsuccessful campaign.

      • Mary

        Nonsense, undercover.

The Rove/Limbaugh Operation Chaos to get Republicans to register as “Dems for a Day” to vote FOR Obama was because they were afraid of running against Hillary.

Those “Dems for a Day” will slip right back into the Republican Party in November and vote for McCain.

What Operation Chaos was about, was making sure the WEAKEST Dem candidate would be left standing to face McCain.

And that weak candidate? Barak Obama

They played you like a drum.

        • http://undercoverblackman.blogspot.com undercoverblackman

If you’re too young to remember, at least pull out a textbook instead of relying on your talking points cheat sheet.

    • DeniseB

Watergate? I suppose you must mean Whitewater. Don’t you know that both Whitewater & Travelgate were trumped up smears with no merit? Do you repeat lies about our only Democratic President in the past 25 years just to “help” your candidate?

If you really want to know, this was the very first thing (of many) to make me dislike Obama & his supporters. Whatever faults the Clintons have, they were centrists, and in no way responsible for the “partisanship of the 90s” – which was a slimy lying attempt to overthrow our elected President for no reason. You really shouldn’t repeat this crap.

    • Barak Osama

What’s important is Obama has no experience, judgement, or ability to lead. He can talk all he wants about the issues, but the self important twit has no solutions and won’t deliver the needed results.

    • TeakwoodKite

What do they have on Barack?

That depends on WHO “they” are. Fitzgerald, RNC, McCain, 527′s? Hell BO GAVE the material for free, except for CU and the meeting with an Iranian official while in Iraq…”they” had to pay for travel expenses…

  • No to B.O.= Body Odor & B. Obama

Last two elections decided by half a million (2000) and 2 million (2004) votes. Conservative estimates of 25% defection from Clinton’s 18 million voters – meaning 4.5 million voters!!!

Considering that McGovern lost by about 17 million votes, and that primary votes this season came out to be about 36 million participating in the Democratic primaries – with 60 million voting for Kerry in 2004, so a little over half. So take 4.5 million of Clinton’s voters and multiply by 2 and we get 9 million, particularly with swing states going Republican this year – and you get:

The biggest landslide in history with the winner — John McCain!!!

  • Queen81

Hey I think the 4 years will be far worse with NOBAMA. It’s not about bitterness, it’s about what’s best for our country. and if given mccain and obama to choose from, i will pick mccain any day of the week!!

National security first, that was the very premise of FDR’s Four Freedoms speech. As FDR said, our freedom and security at home depends on American’s willingness to bring freedom and security to peoples outside our borders. Being a true Democrat is not inconsistent with putting country over party but is the very essence of what makes us Democrats.

I really believe Obama cares about women’s rights (to include the right to choose) after waging the most obscene, sexist campaign we have ever seen–oh, yeah. What was it he said so eloquently that describes him to a tee–”Words, just words!” And tell those Maytag workers how much Obama cares about the working people; word to the wise, I wouldn’t do it to their faces. And who are those defense contractors supporting Obama? You think they want him to end the “unnecessary and illegal wars”? Is he still backing privatizing Social Security, or is he trying to hide that one? Is Mr. Universal Health Care still wanting to disenfranchise 15 million Americans?

Believe him all you want, but don’t count on me becoming a citizen of Lemmingville!

“In 1992, the press was not as willing to provide the hatchet as they were before. Bush brought into play more allegations of Clinton’s questionable character. He attacked Clinton’s patriotism because of the Governor’s opposition to the Vietnam War and subsequent draft evasion techniques. Although the press did follow up on the charges made by Bush, they eventually turned on the President in protest of the same style of campaigning as used in 1988. While Bush began to complain about the “fairness” of press coverage, Bill Clinton was using the media to his advantage.”

This snippet of a larger analysis of the 1992 Presidential election floodlights obvious similarities between Barack Obama and Bill Clinton. Both young, relative unknowns who had to dodge endless chacter assassinations before finally prevailing. The main difference, of course, being that in 1992 it was the republicans spearheading the campaign against the democratic candidate, while in 2008, it’s the democrats spearheading the campaign against the democratic candidate. That’s okay, though. I’ve every confidence that like Clinton, Senator Obama will triumph and our country will be the better for it.

    • RJ

Apples and oranges. Bill Clinton was gov. of Arkansas for 12 years. He had a great deal more experience compared to BO.

      WE WILL REMEMBER IN NOVEMBER

McCain ’08 (no matter who the dem VP is)

      • DeniseB

He also ran a positive campaign. The kind of campaign based on hope, change and inclusion that Obama claimed he was running but in fact didn’t. That’s why so many loyal Democrats are rejecting him? It’s his own doing. Some “unity”.

    • TeakwoodKite

main difference, of course BO has no experience.

Barack Obama opposed this War from the start.

What start? The start of his political opportunism? You might as well bring up and quote the opinions of his college papers! He was a nobody then. But once he got into the Senate his vote on the war was exactly like Clinton’s.

  • calli not your sweeti

A vote for Obama is a vote for a Bush Third Term! Obama – just like Bush but not as good! Don’t call me Sweeti!

  • HillarySupportsObamaNow

I should add that Mr. Obama will weather the democrat-led character assassination primarily because I think the vast majority of people are more interested in things like healthcare, jobs, the war, women’s reproductive rights and education. Senators Obama and McCain are poignantly different on these fronts, and I think folks will vote issues over character distortions, as they did in 1992 for Bill Clinton.

    • Hope

Obama is fatally flawed within every aspect you mentioned. He doesn’t have a clue what he is doing and he’s not allowed to vote ‘present’ as president.

The vast majority of people want a patriotic president with character and morals.

as they did in 1992 for Bill Clinton
And the vast majority of Bill Clinton voters will never accept Obamabi

      • Mary

WHy would ANY decent Democrat vote for a man who falsely called William Jefferson Clinton a racist, and trashed his legacy?

“One of Clinton’s laws of politics is, if one candidate is trying to scare you, and the other one is trying to make you think, if one candidate’s appealing to your fears, and the other one’s appealing to your hopes. You better vote for the person who wants you to think and hope.”

        • ArealDemocrat

Well, as one of those “married white women,” perhaps I can explain why we’re not flocking to the Obamathon:

    1) Experience. And I don’t mean his – I mean ours. By the time you’re a married woman, you’ve met a few duds – those smooth-talking types that promise the moon, but deliver zip, nada . . .

    2) Economic experience. Us over-thirty “dead enders” are the ones who balance the checkbooks, run households, etc., and many of us have a wealth of experience and education, including the unhappy experience of working for younger, less-qualified men.

    3) Experience period. Today, many of us have a wealth of in the public sector, as professionals, and running businesses – we may even feel that we have more experience than the annointed democratic nominee – and that’s a scary thought.

    4) Racial backlash. Yes, lots of us “dead ender” types, us married “white” women of the democratic party, have fought the good fight for racial equality and justice for women AND minorities. So, it’s rather galling and a bit of a shock to learn that you’re just a “typical white woman,” but then black liberation theology has really been an eye opener for us all . . ..

Fun project for all the obamabots trying to hold roe v. wade over our heads…it’s time you educate yourselves…i challenge you to get and read the actual decision. few people have done this and it contributes to their ignorance on the issue…though the decision did make it legal for women to have abortions, the decision itself has practically nothing to do with abortion…the decision itself points to an implied right in the constitution that all citizens, not just women, have with regard to privacy and their bodies. Roe v. Wade will not be overturned because it would open a pandoras box on diets, nutrition, medical treatments. As a former constitutional law professor, NOBAMA should no this. Education is priceless….educate yourselves obamabots!

So, the Obamas are going on a foreign trip to have experience(see Stephanopalous’ remark above). How convenient for them but ridiculous even to an idiot. Let’s face it. The hype is dying out. They just need to keep up the racial attacks on white people. Do they think they will just keep taking it. They will vote McCain just to shut the Obama camp up. You talk about loosing an election. Whites and hispanics make up over 87% of the electorate and make up over 95 % of people that actually vote. So I don’t see how alienating a group who makes up 95% of the electorate will help anyone.

Were the authors of this planning on actually “saying” anything at all in this article? It’s worthless. It’s like reading the “Cliff’s Notes” for an Archie comic and then standing in front of your 4th grade English class and dropping the bombshell that “Jughead loves cheeseburgers.” All it does is rehash a bunch of news tidbits that are based almost entirely on speculation of what “will” supposedly happen in the general election. There’re no facts or even anything that resembles information.
This website is a moronically feeble attempt to poke holes in Obama’s candidacy, because you’re all afraid he’g going to win. News flash. He is going to win. Stop living in fear guys. You’re all afraid. Don’t be afraid anymore. It’s ok. I’ll make you a grilled cheese sandwich and get you your blankeys (and the remote). Turn off Fox news and go get yours hands on some real information.

P.S. It says SOO much that every comment on here is slamming Obama. The administrators of this website probably censor information as hard as the Bush administration. And as hard as the Mc Cain administration would if they could get their old, wrinkled, senile hands on the White House. Not gonna happen clowns.

    • ulahane

Ageism again. You Obamabites are such wonderful people. Do we need another “young” president like Bush when he was first “elected.”

      • Jag

You probably voted for him smart guy. I voted against him twice. I think that makes me 100% in picking the “right” candidate, even though they lost both times. This year will be different. My guy’s going to win. Who are you voting for Ulahane? Yourself? Good luck with that.

P.S. It’s not about “young” and “old.” Bush was a moron who should’ve flunked out of high school. I watched an interview with one of his college English professors and when asked about his papers, they thought they were written by a dyslexic monkey.

Obama was president of the Harvard Law Review. Top of his class. He’s a bonafied, genius, and to top all that off, he’s got a heart of gold. Could’ve gotten a job at ANY lawfirm in this country. Could’ve set his sights on Supreme Court Justice. What’d he do instead? Go into public defense and community organizing. And now he’s about to become president of the United States.

And back to the age thing. I don’t care how old McCain is. It’s the fact that he spent years in a POW camp and undeniably suffers from PTSD. He’s unstable and imprudent. AND he’s a “hawk” who likes war for war’s sake. I think that’s enough. Should I continue?

Obama’s path led him very quickly to real power and money. If you believe that he is a genius, does it not seem likely that that was his intention from the beginning?

If you don’t care about McCain’s age, then you shouldn’t write “old, wrinkled, senile hands,” it discredits your argument.

The “Hawk” comment is inaccurate. He is more moderate, while Obama is dangerously dovish.

Heart of Gold? Tell that to the people that counted on him, in Rezko’s slums, who were freezing with out heat, while Obama was taking Rezko’s money

Reality alert: Obama was not in the the “top” of his class – he was elected editor as an affirmative action candidate, not based on his grades. He is the only editor in the history of the law review who did not write a single article for the review, nor did he receive an offer to clerk for any judge after his stint on the law review, nor did he receive an offer to work for a major law firm (unlike any other Harvard Law Review editor or top 10% of the class). You see, the judges and law firms get to see your grades, your class standing, and your work (writing) before they hire you. Smooth talk won’t even get you in the door.

This website is a moronically feeble attempt to poke holes in Obama’s candidacy, because you’re all afraid he’g going to win.

Then why are you here? Obviously your keyboard works, so surf somewhere else if you don’t like it. And yes, we are afraid of Obama winning. Nothing frightens us more.

The administrators of this website probably censor information as hard as the Bush administration.

If they did, do you honestly think your posts would appear?

      • Jag

I’m here because unlike yourself, I don’t just “sit in a room” full of a bunch of other arrogant propagandists who share my exact opinion for self validation. Don’t you get tired of hearing your own echo? You people are masochists if you want more of the same. And you’re absolutely kidding yourselves if you think John McCain won’t give you four more years of it.

P.S. And considering this is my first time on this website, I am honestly surprised that my comment did appear. I didn’t expect that dialogue would be allowed in a room full of neo-Dittoheads.

And for those of you who are not Republicans or Independents, but Democratic Hillary supporters now switching over to McCain. What are you thinking? Talk about petty. It’s totally masochistic. You didn’t get the flavor ice cream you wanted, so now you’re going to “hold your breath ’til you turn blue?” Does it make ANY sense at all to turn from Hillary Clinton (the one Democratic candidate) to John McCain (her polar opposite). It’s a little cliche called “shooting yourself in the foot.” Aren’t you the same people who claim to be angry about what the Bush administration has been doing to this country for the last 8 years? If so then the choice should be crystal clear. Clinton is very intelligent and a capable politician, but I believe that Obama is a stronger candidate. If Clinton had won the parties nomination, then I would go to the polls and vote for her in November. I wouldn’t love it, but I’d do it. Not one chance that I’d throw a tantrum and stay home to protest Obama’s loss. And not in Rush Limbaugh’s SEXIEST wet drean would I switch teams and vote for John McCain. That is insanity. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are two very different people, but they both represent the Democratic Party and their stance on the issues is nearly identical. Their platforms were nearly identical. THE CHOICE IS VERY STRAIGHT-FORWARD! Go out to the polls in November and support your Democratic Party.

  • Andrew

Obama is crazy. He now says that if we catch Osama bin Laden, we shouldn’t kill him. And if we detain him, he should be able to challenge his detention in American courts. IS HE INSANE? Osama bin Laden needs a bullet to his head, not lawyers and cushy prison cells. Obama is scary. I bet Obama wants to ask Osama questions and become buddies with him!!! NOBAMA!!!!!!!

Sen.Clinton on the FIRST ballot at the convention!
Dean says “No”! What an outrage and revelation of fear. They deny can’t her accomplishment. But, they don’t want to highlight it either. Yet, he NEEDS her.
She with her 1640 delegates, has earned the right to
have her name placed in nomination. The Obama state by state “loyalty test” among delegates is anti-democratic. The primary chicanary by “Dean & Co” is assuring the low response for financial contribu-
    tions.
So, Barack is going now log some “foreign frequent

As each day passes, I like Obama less and less, which is almost miraculous since I started out deploring the creep.

You know, many of the young ARE impressionable. Which is why Obama was able to bamboozle them so easily with nothing but hollow rhetoric and false hopes. Maybe we should do what the Obama people have done – all of us create web personas which have nothing to do with who we are, and go around to the Obama hang-outs and generate a sense of false security about Obama’s chances of winning. Hmmm.

Okay, I’m evil. But I don’t pretend to be otherwise ;)

Did anyone watch Lou Dobbs tonight? At the end he had his radio crew panel.. they were discussing McCain and Obama and Dobbs showed a clip of Granville getting boo’d. She was in a crowd talking up Obama and when she mentioned Clinton there was a huge swell of booing. Dobbs was a little disgusted with how rude they were and that Granville did not deserve that disrespect.

The black woman radio host blamed Granville. She was very snarky and said Granville had no business mentioning Clinton and that there were still hard feelings and that the Clinton’s race baited and it was going to take a lot to heal.

Of course the guys disagreed, said the Clinton’s did not race bait etc.

The booing was disgusting and so was the radio personality. When are they going to get a clue? The ‘won’ and still bitch. And they really think they are going to get any voters by calling them racist.

Great clip if you can get it. It pissed me off.

    • http://deleted AnninCa

They will bitch because they didn’t really win. They stole the election.

Bill Clinton warned everyone that Obama would not be viewed as legitimate if he pulled this move. Obama ignored it.

      Sure enough, he’s not legitimate.

And they will boo because that’s the reality.

      40% exit? That’s huge.

      They can’t spin it.

He got no bump expected. They can’t spin it.

He’s now about to be overcome in MN. They can’t spin it.

      It’s proven true.

He is losing states he “won” that were crammed down everyone’s throat: Kansas, North Carolina, and he’s now losing true swing states, Minnesota.

Do you think he’ll win by NY, CA, and WA?….Oh, I forgot Oregon.

The MAN is now trying to say he’ll take Alaska. For God’s sakes, there are 400 voters for him there.

Nite…are you really a black man?

      Just curious.

      • http://undercoverblackman.blogspot.com undercoverblackman

Yes, AnninCa, I am black… though I can’t speak for whoever commented at 20:32:25 using my screen name. (At least that kind stranger linked to my actual blog.)

Please, my fellow Democrats, don’t embrace the dark arts of “dirty trickery” and political sabotage.

    • Susan1968

      Undercoverblackman:

I clicked your blog link. I see you selectively picked certain posts from No Quarter to support your thesis about people on this site. From your blog:

“…There you can peek into the dark souls of Hillary Clinton’s most ardent supporters… a pack of irrational haters who seem proud that their most important decision as citizens – their choice for president – will be determined wholly by spite.”

I noticed you mentioned nothing about those who have posted well thoughout analysis of the issue that concerns many of us here — the Brazile/Dean Coup perpetrated within the DNC.

Hey — it’s your blog Mr. Undercover.

But I would tyhink you could be more fair and balanced showing the “dark souls” of Obama supporters on Huffington Post who ripped her apart, made horrible personal attackes against her, and demonized every way they could.

Or is Fairness not your priority?

Doesn’t matter. Today, video showing Obama supporters BOO-ing the Michigan Governor for mentioning Hillary’s name at an Obama event reveals who has truly split this party.

Obama’s behind the scenes smear campaign of lies about Hillary (I have the proof), circulated through the net has turned his supporters into an uncontrollable mob of frenzied worshipers.

And it doesn’t look good on CNN.

      See you in November.

      • http://undercoverblackman.blogspot.com undercoverblackman

Susan1968: How I wish this blog were devoted to well-considered analysis… and not to personal attacks on Obama based on which magazines he reads. Not to mention the “whitey” smear… which may go down in history as a thoroughly modern act of political witchcraft.

It seems to me that commenters her do a lot of projecting of their own spitefulness onto Obama and his supporters. You are aghast that Obama supporters booed the name Hillary in Michigan… as if nobody remembers the booing of Obama’s name when Sen. Clinton suspended her campaign.

Obama didn’t win this nomination by trashing Hillary… he won it by selling a vision of the future. I have observed the rancor and venom emanating from Sen. Clinton’s online supporters for months… and it is heartbreaking.

This rage does not reflect well upon the woman in whose name you all are venting it. Just my opinion.

        • Jag

Thank you undercoverblackman. Well put. Well thought out. I just found out about this website yesterday, and I think it’s venomous. It’s poison. It’s toxic. It’s people holding on to hate and negativity. More than anything, it’s just sad.

  • GoHillary

There is an interesting vatiation of the Bradley effect going on in the polls.

If you don’t know what bradley effect is:

In a election with a black and white candidate, in the polls before the elections the white voters are asked who they intend to vote for and some of the voters say they will vote for the black candidate because they are uncomfortable of looking like they are prejudiced. But when they are alone in the voting booth, they vote for the white candidate that they wanted to vote for. They are not necessarily racist but just did not want to appear politically incorrect.

You can look it up on wikipedia.

In this race nobama will face the old style bradley effect operative with race and religion.

In addition there are probably a lot of democrats when asked by a pollster, who knows they are democrats, will say that they will vote for the democratic nominee but when in the voting booth, will freely express their anger and frustration with the democratic party.

When being asked by the polllster:

Are you a registered democrat or republican?
    Democrat.

Do you plan to vote for nobama or Mccain?
    well…. nobama.

or well… I ‘ll see. I will think about it.

That is because they won’t want to appear as voting against their party in public. Just like the woman they showed in the video yesterday in NYC. She was a simple person, hardworking, middle class, and obviously did not want to say on national TV that she was voting against the party. She said.. I will go my own way..

All of us who feel passionately about Hillary and we speak out and we say Hillary2008 or McCain2008 and hillary 2012
and screw Coward Dean and nobama

For each of the vocal Hillary democrats there is probably thousands or even hundreds of thousands of the silent Hillary democrats who don’t want to come out and say it, either on the internet or when asked by a pollster when it is public, but when it comes to the privacy of the voting booth, they will cast the vote the same against nobama.

Interestingly from a polling perspective, they are dealing with not just one Bradley effect.

They are dealing with 3 Bradley effects.

The voters that are afraid to be seen in public as being anti-black.
The voters that are afraid of being seen as anti-muslim.

AND the democratic voters are afraid to be seen as anti-party when asked directly in public.

Generally one of these Bradley effects has had a 5-10% impact on the preelection polls and the actual numbers, the actual numbers being skewed against the black candidate.

It would be interesting to see what the effect of the 3-fold bradley effect will be.

Generally the effect is named after the loser (Bradley was the black candidate who lost).
In this case though it should be named PUMA effect?
Gosh! immortalizing PUMA name for posterity. Wouldn’t that be neat?

    • http://deleted AnninCa

I think the “Bradley affect” is nothing more than an accusation of racism.

However, Obama has made it virtually impossible to discuss him without including the race factor. He has smartly made it his Ace.

      I suggest, humbly, it’s backfired.

People were actually way past the race issue.

Therefore, to shove it down people’s throats constantly that we are racist?

      That’ set off the backlash.

He’ll lose due to the backlash.

I further posit that our children will continue to marry AA, Latinos, Whites, etc.

And we’ll all get together just fine and you’ll bring tamales, and I’ll bring my cheesy grits casserole.

And we’ll be just dandy and be fine.

      The politicians?

They are behind us by miles.

      • GoHillary

        Actually,

Bradley effect has nothing to with racism, more with the timidity that people feel in expressing their preferences in public, due to the concern that they feel about how it will reflect on them, or even concrete damage that will happen to them.

Think about the 2 superdelegates that have openly said they will not vote for nobama because he is just plain unqualified.

Now think about the approximately 400 pledged delegates (25% of hillary’s delegates) that are silent but most likely cast their vote against nobama in the privacy of the voting booth.

They are not concernd about appearing politically correct.

They are concenrned about actual damage to their careers if they voice their opinion. Maybe even physical violence.

But they will vote against nobama in the secret ballot, that is the beauty of democracy.

It is a form of Bradley effect too, nothing to do with racism.

      • GoHillary

The comment is about the poll numbers, not the actual cause of nobama’s defeat.

My point was that the poll numbers do not necessarily reflect what is going on out there. Probably 5-10 % of democrats saying that they will vote for nobama to a pollster, will probably go in the voting booth and vote against him, for perfectly valid reasons such as being too incompetent to be digging ditches.

        • http://deleted AnninCa

He’s tanking. By any real poltical discourse….

          He’s tanking.

I feel no sympathy for the insiders.

          WE SPOKE OUT. LOUDLY.

          They ignored us.
          He’s going down, in flames.

He’s even losing his “won” states like MN and NC and NV.

          He’s tanking.

I think there should be an investigation into the buying off of the mainstream media. How does something like this happen in America? OH boy. Shootin’ fish in a barrel is fun! Lessee:

Obama was president of the Harvard Law Review.

Where he has the unique dinstinction of being the ONLY person to hold that august position without ever publishing ONE SINGLE article. It’s unprecedented, all right–but not in the way you think.

And btw Bush attended Harvard also.

he’s got a heart of gold. Could’ve gotten a job at ANY lawfirm in this country.

Is his heart of gold the reason the Obama family is not associated with a single charity, has no member including the Senator himself who has done one day’s work for any charity and has a near-zero record of any charitable donations? With one glaring exception of course, that would be Trinity Church (currently resideing under the ObamaBus).

Could’ve set his sights on Supreme Court Justice.

Yeah, and I could have set my sights on being married to Brad Pitt.

What’d he do instead? Go into public defense and community organizing.

He was never a public defender (if that’s what you mean by “public defense.”) He called himself a civil rights lawyer but what is the record of his civil rights work? What are some of the major cases he worked on? Any clients– besides Rezko, I mean?

And as for the community organizing, his record on that is as wafer-thin as his record on anything else. What exactly did he *do* as a coummunity organizer? Anyone can call themselves a community organizer. My neighbor regularly organizes food drives for charities, gets us to contribute to care packages for soldier, and got us curbside recycling. Is she a “community organizer?” She doesn’t call herself one, but she has made significant accomplishments for her community, can you name anything similar that he managed to achieve? Surely a big-hearted Harvard Law grad can do better than my non-college-educated working-poor neighbor, no?

    And finally:

    He’s a bonafied, genius

    It’s bona fide, genius.
