the unity pony is dead

For someone who needs Clinton’s supporters to win in November, for someone who claims to be about unity, for someone who claims to want to bring the party together, and heal deep wounds inflicted during this primary, Obama and his gang of supporters sure suck at unity.

For starters – Booing the Former First Lady and Senator of New York is not a sign of unity … or decency for that matter.

(Note to Obama: allowing this to continue for months and months, and NOW trying to act all *unity like* is not going to cut it. If you think we forgot about all those other rallies, where you just laughed as the crowds boo’d Hillary, you don’t know us very well, at all.)

And hiring her former campaign manager, Patty Solis Doyle, as the chief of staff to the new (and as of yet, unnamed, Vice President elect is seen as a big *f*ck you*. (not that we want her on your ticket, anyway.)

Add Patti to your page

And trying to keep Hillary off the ballot is not going to help either.

And heads up, you kind of ticked off some asian people the other day. Probably not a good thing to generalize about racial stereotypes. Oh, and you kind of insinuated that being gay will keep people off your VP list.

And during fundraisers, you might not want to make statements like, “We don’t need the people. We just need the checks.”

And not marching in your city’s Gay Pride Parade is not really a good show of unity either.

And making comments like, “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun. Because from what I understand folks in Philly like a good brawl.” probably not too helpful either.

And continuing to be elusive regarding you background is not a sure sign of instilling confidence in potential voters. Why is your half-brother calling you a Muslim, but you have always denied any ties to that religion?

And why are you hiding your birth certificate? Isn’t that a requirement of any Presidential candidate – to prove eligibility?

And the continuation of labeling Clinton supporters as racist for not supporting you is not helping either.

And while I highly doubt Obama is making death threats, the fact that many people who speak out against Obama receive death threats is not helping either.

Oh, and stripping Clinton delegates of their position at the Convention is not helping the ol’ Unity Pony either.

So, although I am steadfast in my determination to never vote Obama, I do think if he is trying to bring unity to the party, and heal those open wounds that his campaign caused, he is doing a piss poor job. Kind of makes you question his leadership abilities, no? Perhaps that is why Democrats are speaking out, and refusing to support Obama, and others are removing themselves from his VP list.

For those of you considering McCain, but are worried about a third Bush term, here is an article for you. Why McCain Wouldn’t Be Bush III (Sorry, Barack)

And here is a video of Tom Delay discussing Obama. It is quite interesting.

And here is a web site to fight the Smears and Lies. It is called The Audactiy of Deception and Hypocrisy.

Sorry, but that Unity Pony is dead and buried. That is why I Just Say NO Deal.

I think Rendell is ticked as hell at being compelled to campaign and fundraise for Obama. He is not stupid and he certainly saw what was done to Hillary. Telling a reporter that Obama told him [Rendell], “We don’t need the people. We just need the checks” may be Rendell’s way of sticking it to Obama. Rendell is a very savy politician and he knows that quote is not something he should have made public. The quote directly from Obama does not make him look good and Rendell would know that.

    Uppity Woman,

As I understand it, Sinclair did hand out to the press names, dates, places and phone numbers, as well as the name of the limo driver so that they could check them out to see if he was telling the truth. That doesn’t sound like a nutcase to me. It was also reported that he was very straightforward and answered all of the questions that were asked of him during the press conference.

While many, particularly the obamabots, will surely color him a lier and a nutcase (and the press won’t cover the matter at all to protect their anointed one), I believe Sinclair’s allegations still deserve a serious investigation. After all, we know every little about BO and are having to take him at his word, despite very little evidence available to back up his background nor the promises he’s making to the American people as to what he intends to do if elected President!

He is, after all, running for the most powerful position in the world and since the MSM has no intention of vetting him, we should take any and every opportunity to find out who this guy really is, because surely by now we all know it won’t come through any conventional means. Too many powerful forces protecting him for that to be possible.

I guarantee the republicans will have investigators checking this stuff out and then will wait until october to release any information that gives credence to Sinclair’s allegations. I’m certain they’ve had their own investigators looking everywhere to find out any unexpected truths about BO and will unlease them in the Fall.

The real irony which could come out of all this is that we may find out Sinclair was really telling the truth and was indeed, trying to do the right thing, and BO will turn out to be the lying, sexist, narcistic, political opportunist whore we suspected him to be all along!

Karma has a way of bringing the truth to the table when you least expect it.

  • sleepy

Polls appear to indicate that the Hillary supporter “backlash” hasn’t materialized as anything significant.

  • Anonymous

I don’t know what to think about Sinclair’s allegations. If you only look at the alleged underlying crimes leading to Sinclair’s arrest you will miss the potential huge story: already Sinclair supporters are calling him a political prisoner.

Larry Sinclair Arrest: Supporters Claim Sinclair a “Political Prisoner”

Obama accuser Larry Sinclair was arrested following his press conference at the National Press Club Wednesday. The reaction from his supporters was immediate: Sinclair had been “arrested” by Senator Obama in an attempt to “keep him silent”. Sinclair was now a “political prisoner”, done in by the Obama “machine”.

Just how did it reach the point to where those who support Sinclair in his accusations against Obama believe his arrest was arranged by the Senator and that he had now become a martyr, a “political” prisoner”?

By the way there is an unedited video of Sinclair’s press conference. Some people may post edited versions that leave out important details.

By time this gets to the “other side,” it will be 71% because that’s the number it has to be for them to believe. Their master played them all for fools. Positions? Policy? Platform? Me! Me! Me! He wants to win at any costs. He conned the kids and the kooks into voting for him. He and his wife told AA’s that Bill and Hillary are racists and got 90% of that vote. Now that he has secured the nomination, he thinks that by insulting black men on Father’s Day he can change a view minds. What he is thinking when he back tracks on NAFTA, I have no idea. He must not want Ohio, Michigan and PA. Public Funding? That was a serious no-no with plenty of people, but he figures, hey, “who they gonna vote for now?” Suckers all of you. Absolutely. Bush. Ummm… I didn’t see any Obama supporters launching websites devoted to the mocking, slurring, smearing and maligning of Hillary Clinton.

Team Hillary had declared a “kitchen sink” strategy of negative campaigning as its only hope of defeating Obama. Hillary lost anyway, and now the bitter-enders — in a bizarre manifestation of mass psychosis — are taking the “politics of personal destruction” to a whole other level.

It’s Hillary and her hardcore groupies who have always been responsibility for the rancid negativism in this campaign. And you wonder why people be booin’?

I’m an American-Italian a.k.a. “Garlic nose” and I’ve followed this historic election VERY closely. BO is a great orator and that’s it. “We are still hoping that this black man will take pride in his African and Islamic identity, and in his faith, and that [he will know] that he has rights in America, and that he will change America from evil to good, and that America will establish relations that will serve it well with other peoples, especially the Arabs.”

    June 16, 2008No. 1960

Libyan Leader Qaddafi: People in Arab And Islamic World, Africa… May Have Been Involved In Legitimate Contribution Campaigns [To Obama]… Ben Gurion Gave Green Light for JFK Assassination

Following are excerpts from a public address by Libyan Leader Mu’ammar Al-Qaddafi marking the anniversary of the U.S. air raid on Libya. The address aired on Al-Jazeera TV on June 11, 2008:
To view this clip on MEMRI TV, visit

“All The People In The Arab And Islamic World And In Africa Applauded This Man [Obama]… [And] May Have Even Been Involved In Legitimate Contribution Campaigns”
Mu’ammar Al-Qaddafi: “It has been proven that there is no democracy in [the U.S.]. Rather, it is a dictatorship no different than the dictatorships of Hitler, Napoleon, Mussolini, Genghis Khan, Alexander the Great, and the rest of the tyrants.
“In the days of crazy Reagan, the American president issued a presidential order to launch a war against Libya, for example, a presidential order to besiege Libya, a presidential order to boycott Libya, and so on. Is this a democracy or a dictatorship?
    [...]
“There are elections in America now. Along came a black citizen of Kenyan African origins, a Muslim, who had studied in an Islamic school in Indonesia. His name is Obama.
“All the people in the Arab and Islamic world and in Africa applauded this man. They welcomed him and prayed for him and for his success, and they may have even been involved in legitimate contribution campaigns to enable him to win the American presidency.”

[Obama] Act Whiter Than the White, And Go To An Extreme In His Persecution And Degradation Of The Blacks”
“The thing we fear most is that the black man suffers from an inferiority complex. This is dangerous. If our brother Obama feels that because he is black he doesn’t have the right to rule America, this would be a disaster, because such a feeling would make him act whiter than the white, and go to an extreme in his persecution and degradation of the blacks.
    [...]
“We say to him: Brother, the whites and blacks in America are equal. They are all immigrants. America belongs neither to the whites nor to the blacks. America belongs to its original inhabitants, the Indians. Both the whites and the blacks immigrated to America, and so they are equal, and Obama has the right to hold his head high, and say: ‘I am a partner in America. This is my land as much as it is yours. If it is not my land, it is not yours either. It is the land of the Indians. You are immigrants, and so are we.’”[...]
“We Are Still Hoping That This Black Man Will Take Pride In His African And Islamic Identity”
“We are still hoping that this black man will take pride in his African and Islamic identity, and in his faith, and that [he will know] that he has rights in America, and that he will change America from evil to good, and that America will establish relations that will serve it well with other peoples, especially the Arabs.”

They are voting on bling faith..nothing else

  • K. Wynne

I agree, the last thing we should do is stay home or write Hillary in. We must vote for McCain.

Ok, think about it for a minute. Has anyone noticed how arrogant and self-assured the BO camp is about his winning in the GE? It reminds me of exactly how GWB acted during the 2000 presidential election. Remember when the news media televised him sitting in his hotel room with Poppy and Babs waiting for the Florida results to be announced. He confidently said something to the effect of, “I’m confident that my brother will deliver Florida.”

Well, I’ve seen that same arrogance within the BO camp. In any event, we should not dismiss the very real possibility that the BO camp has already messed with the voting machines so that the final vote count will favor BO over McCain come November.

It has been proven that these machines can be reprogrammed months, even years, in advance to crank out a different result than was actually cast and be done without detection.

The best way to counter this possibility is for those of you who will not vote for BO, to vote for McCain. We need vote for McCain in huge numbers in order to change the margin they may have anticipated for the final vote count in each precinct. They can reprogram the computer to switch the votes from one candidate to another. They do so by calculating a certain margin of votes to be changed. Based on passed audits of these machine counts in prior elections, it has been reported that these calculated changes within the voting system’s software (which counts the votes) must stay within a certain “margin of error” for this to work.

By voting in huge numbers for McCain (and they have no way of predicting mathmatically how high that number will be), then we will be able to stop them from giving the election to BO through manipulating these voting machines.

Or just write in Hillary Clintons’ name in the ballot. If all 18 million or just about 2/3 (13 million) write in or type Hillary Clinton, it would be a humiliating defeat for the DNC thus will have a positive effect down the road by making those democrats more respectful of her.

If you think McCain or Obama is such a bad choice for the presidency, then let others make the choice for you. Wash your hands of voting between the 2 but then don’t forget to vote for Hillary Clinton by either writing in her name or typing it in.

    Lakota,

HBO produced a documentary film on the subject of voting machine manipulation called “Hacking Democracy”. This was the first film that showed election reform advocates proving that the machines are literally “open for business.” Hardly a way to run a dmocracy, don’t ya think?

You should also be aware that these machines were quickly put into place by our government without any citizen input or debate on the matter. Citizens paid 3.8 billion dollars to the vendors that manufactured these machines and we found out that they are totally without any real security protections against hacking and manipulation.

Yes, it is devastating to find out that our congress were the one’s who voted to put these machines in place, without citizen approval, even though that is a total conflict of interest, because they chose the king of voting systems that would put them into office!

I’ve founded a website specifically for the purpose of building a critical mass of citizens who support a return to total hand counted paper ballots at the precinct on election night…HCPBnow.org.

Until we can return to citizens overseeing and playing a major role in the oversight of our elections, we must find ways to outsmart these machines and the politicians that control them!

This is criminal and smells of conspiracy. The people responsible should be held accountable.

    Gloria, thanks for sharing.

Tom DeLay??? The guy is a cheat and a fraud. He strikes me as smarmy and self-righteous.

However, DeLay probably reflects the thinking of many Americans that are leery of Obama (I’m leery too but not for the same reasons).

    To the Unity Pony: RIP.

Actually, the phrase “kitchen sink” came from a Clinton aide back in February, according to the New York Times. To wit:

“After struggling for months to dent Senator Barack Obama’s candidacy, the campaign of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton is now unleashing what one Clinton aide called a ‘kitchen sink’ fusillade against Mr. Obama… in hopes of stopping his political momentum.”

That’s the precise point where “kitchen sink” entered the lexicon of campaign ’08.

Now, Bonita… don’t you feel kinda silly, not being in command of your facts and all?

Joe Biden is a corporate tool and his the big backer of the horrendous bankruptcy bill (guess who the big corporations are in DE). He is definitely a plagiarist and he is blow hard.

He backs Obama because Obama is also a corporate tool. Joe Biden also is a sexist and misogynist – look at the videos of how he treated Anita Hill. Another reason why he backs Obama – the old cliche is true: “birds of a feather, flock together”.

The phrase “kitchen sink” came from the New York Times and was attributed to an unnamed Clinton aide.
    Nothing to feel silly about.

All I hope is that when this election is over, Obama no longer has a political career.

  • wac for hillary

It’s called free will vs. lemmingitis.

  • wac for hillary

Bite your tongue about an Obama win. But you are right about it being a wasted vote. Also didn’t someone say that in some states the write-in votes go to the nominee of that particular party?

  • wac for hillary

What’s that phrase – It takes one to know one (DeLay and Obama).

  • Northwest rain

Obama attempts to COPY the rhythm and cadence of PREACHERS — but he isn’t all that great. I’ve heard some of the great church preachers — and Obama is not in their league. NONE of the great preachers or orators used teleprompters and they wrote their own sermons.

So I won’t even give snObama credit for being a “great orator” — he can read a teleprompter. He reads speeches written by other people.

He is a dud, a ZERO.

    McCain (or Clinton) 08

    Clinton 2012

  • Deep Truths

Biden also wants to be Secretary of State. His son is the attorney general in Delaware who served Larry Sinclair’s CO warrants. CO wasn’t that concerned. Coincidence?

Call you local election office before writing Hillary’s name in. Sometimes it’s totally disregarded. In that case, it’s best to vote for McCain or a 3rd party candidate.

One more reason to vote for McCain.

Hoshyar Zebari, the Iraqi foreign minister said “my message” to Mr. Obama “was very clear. . . . Really, we are making progress. I hope any actions you will take will not endanger this progress.” He said he was reassured by the candidate’s response, which caused him to think that Mr. Obama might not differ all that much from Mr. McCain.

    from Washington Post interview

Nobama and McCain “might not differ all that much”.

One a Hero and one a Zero.

  • ginaswo still says no Uhhbama

    Amen sister Testify!!!

they can keep beating the dead horse it isnt getting them anywhere and is just pushing more people to McCain

  • ginaswo still says no Uhhbama

in MANY states write ins for HRC will go to the Dem nominee by default

I’ll vote for McCain to ENSURE he doesnt take ANOTHER HRC VOTE

  • mahaska

we? very telling that. You claim to be an American, are trying to influence the lives of people that actually live here, but when someone says somehthing about going there, all of a sudden it’s WE. fuck you

  • mahaska

No he isn’t. He always gets caught.

They probably asked her to do a joint, not a joint event.

Actually, I remember hearing that phrase in the days of Nixon. The repubs used it.

  • mahaska

I really did bust out laughing. what a dick.

I think people who automatically would move to him have already done so. The rest obviously are either undecided or not interested in him.

And it will get worse and worse as his flip-flops grow more obvious.

  • audaciouslemming

Y’all are a few fringe lunatics. You can’t count all 18 million of Hillary’s votes. Most of Hillary’s votes came from dyed in the wool Democrats. They’re coming with us. If you jump ship for McCain, you don’t vote on issues. You’re voting on hurt feelings, rumors, or fear of change. Keep yelling, but realize you are a very small minority. audacious lemming

  • dee4hill

Exactly. And that’s why I will NEVER vote for The Radical One. Not even if St. Paul were his running mate.

    Hillary or McCain ’08 ONLY

  • dee4hill

I never watch MSM, but I turned on CNN when I got home. Love Fest #1 for Obama. ALL OBAMA. (gush, gush.)

Changed it to MSNBC. Love Fest #2 for Obama. ALL OBAMA. (gush, gush.)

It’s absolutely sickening. I don’t know where the Hell my country went?????

I finally changed it to Fox. Ahhhh, there’s one cable station that is not hypnotized by the Radical One… Fair and Balanced.

And for a former Dem, THAT is scary!

    Hillary or McCain ’08 ONLY!

Agreed….even his fake preacher voice is annoying, and when he’s not on script he’s pathetic.

Not like either of the well-spoken Clintons who actually know what they’re talking about!

  • erin

Wht’s all this about Obama being a great orrator? He is only good when he has a typed speech in front of him to read from. Put him in a situation where he has to speak off the cuff, and he flounders with umms and ahhs. He is not a good orator otherwise it would come naturally to him.

  • Zee

This lifelong Yellow Dawg Dem ain’t comin’ anywhere NEAR you.

A yellow dog, fine. But lower’n that ye can’t drag us.

  • fran

It wasn’t the stress. I think we’ve clearly seen that Hillary does not give in to stress. She has spent her entire adult life fighting for the causes she believes in. The Party made it clear–if you want to continue to be in any position to forward your agenda, you have to cooperate. The reps in her own state (Charlie Rangel et. al.) turned on her immediately after South Dakota. She is looking long-term. It was either that, or give up her life’s work. As she said in her last speech: she will be on the front lines fighting. It will be interesting to see how much or little she appears with him. I hope as little as possible, and I certainly don’t want to see the Big Dawg anywhere near him.

American Girl: the link doesn’t work for the McCain article. Can you repost?

  • LSekhmet

LOL to Rendell’s comment about the Kool-Aid. I think Rendell is subversive, and I love it!

  • LSekhmet

Not sure this will work, either — my fourth attempt — but here it goes.

This is all I have to say about the effort for “unity.”

I’ll unify behind Hillary Clinton, as President.

    As for Obama?

“Stop the drama. Dump Obama.” Now.

Just listening to this disheartens me. Why would those who kept their word to Hillary to help bring an end to the war in Iraq, who want better wages for low income workers, who believe that their children need a better future choose to vote for a man that is more in line with the problems we are already in? I want my grandparents to have the best healthcare coverage and that is NOT going to happen with McCain. I may not agree with every issue that Obama brings forth, but I cannot and will not fall into the misguided information put out from McCain.
    Republicans for Obama.

also note- if McBush is elected in November, prepare for riots across America. This is just a warning. Rise up and stand for change!!
