A Response to Salon’s Story on PUMA: The Most Important Reason Clinton Voters Will Not Support Senator Obama

Salon magazine published an article today: “Will Clinton supporters vote for Obama?,” by Rebecca Traister. The story’s subtitle: “The attack of the PUMAs, or a dozen reasons why Clinton voters are still too angry to come home.”

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Here is the main thing your article fails to take into account, and the main thing every single media outlet in this country likewise ignores: The number one reason we will not support Senator Obama for President is that he is not qualified for the job.

Surprised? Let’s examine this more closely.

This man has missed over 40% of his votes in the Senate. If one examines the votes he has missed, they actually are politically risky and require moral courage. So far, he has exhibited little.

He voted “present” 130 times in the Illinois State Legislature and voted “wrong” six times, i.e., he said “oops, I accidentally pressed the wrong button” — so either he is incapable of multitasking, or he is dishonest, just making choices for political expediency.

Aah. Thou hast hit it. What are the clues to his actions as nothing more than political expedience and opportunism:

A man who sits in a divisive and racist church for 20 years and lies about his knowledge of the contents of these sermons, then throws the church under the bus when it becomes politically critical for him to do so.

A man who is closely associated with the likes of the convicted criminal Tony Rezko, buys a house with his help, receives $250K in campaign contributions and allows Rezko’s slum holes to flourish in his State Senate district while likewise claiming ignorance — yet lies before the American people and says he barely knows the man and only did five hours of work for him years ago.

I will not even delve into his long working relationship with the man from the Weather Underground, ex-terrorist Bill Ayers, which he has likewise downplayed and/or denied.

This is a man with a questionable record on women’s rights, voting ‘present’ numerous times, who has also said “many pro-choice Democrats don’t understand that abortion is a wrenching moral issue.” Really? How insulting.

This is a Democrat who campaigns in South Carolina with Donnie McClurkin, an “ex-gay” man “reformed through prayer.” I wonder to whom Senator Obama was pandering in that state?

This is a man who runs slightly to the left of Hillary Clinton only to flip flop on every position he originally took including: public financing, FISA, his positions of Iraq withdrawal, the Iran threat, Israel, NAFTA and more.

Senator Obama is a man who insults the Bill Clinton presidency, a time of peace and prosperity, while extolling virtues of the disastrous Reaganomics. He calls himself a Democrat?

Most devastating, Senator Obama is a man who, together with his campaign manager and surrogates advantage themselves at every opportunity by playing the race card unjustly.

Senator Obama is the product of splendid marketing. Nothing more. Even MoveOn.Org, naively endorsing him without vetting his true positions, is starting to turn on him — realizing that, they too, have served their purpose and are now going to be thrown under the bus as he must move to the center to shore up his flagging presidential bid, as his initial “American Idol” appeal is now waning.

So, please, do all of us ‘bitter’ voters a favor and stop mischaracterizing our motives. Some of us actually have principles and put our country before our party. We care deeply about America and about our fellow citizens of every background. We would like a person of solid character with a consistent record and sensible, coherent policies to lead our nation. Someone with a 35 year history of working for the rights of children, women, veterans’ benefits, first responders, health care and education. Someone who will take a tough stand on the issues and have the courage of his or her convictions.

For your information, I have just described Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.

But this is the one that just jumps out at you. Obama (voting “present”) did not vote yes or no on a bill that would allow certain victims of sexual crimes to petition judges to seal court records relating to their cases. Obama cast the lone present vote in a 58-to-0 vote. Obama’s campaign said he believed that the bill violated the First Amendment. The bill passed 112-0-0 in the House and 58-0-1 in the Senate. He was the ONLY vote not in support of sex crime victims! There is just no excuse or rationale for that. Is he the ONLY person in the entire legislature to see that the First Amendment violates the right to privacy of the victim? And which part of the Amendment is violated? Religion? Speech? Assembly? Press? Petition? When I stumbled upon this in the Trib article, I just stopped. It is so important to victims of sexual crimes – be they men or women – that nothing you say or do after that point of departure is meaningful. It is a callous lack of regard for the human and humane rights of someone once victimized. And there is no way to explain “present.” None.

    • OhVoter

I’d like to see someone with the guts to ask specifically about this particular “present” vote (in detail) during a debate and ask Obama to explain his rationale.

This emply suit has absolutely NO business being a candidate for president!

      • TR

You summed up my thoughts precisely with this….

“The number one reason we will not support Senator Obama for President is that he is not qualified for the job.”

        Thank you.

        • workingclass artist

Hmmmmm…..That was my # 1 reason until I realized Obama is a FASCIST…..He is corrupt. GOOD ARTICLE.

**** OBAMA IS UNFIT FOR ANY ELECTIVE OFFICE ****

        • lute

          Beautifully written piece.

        • BJinChicago

Yes, he is not qualified, but the fact that he doesn’t realize his inadequacy for the position is what is really frightening. It’s #43 all over again.

      • Susan

Let’s send suggestions to McCain’s camp about what to ask Obama.

I despise Barackula, just loathe him and what his supporters I know are starting to understand about me is that I won’t come around. Ever. See for me, it was never that I was so much pro Hillary, although I did like her and am a huge supporter now, having watched her power and strength for months. No see, the problem with me is that I’m not exactly pro Hillary. For me it’s always been that I am Anti Obama. You can’t chnage that either. no VP pick or Roe v. Wade scare or issues can undo the fact that the guy gives me the creeps and I see him as a blatantly narcissistic, arrogant, lying, con man! He can’t change that no matter what. I am 100% pure Anti Obama. I will not ever knowingly elect a fraud as POTUS. Never. Let me repeat just to be clear, never!

      • Zeke

probably just mis-pressed one of those pesky darn ol’ button thingys again.

    • OhVoter

Hey, how about a YouTube video about some of Obama’s more blatant “present” votes and his “oops, I pressed the wrong button” votes? Flineo — this is a suggestion for you!

It proves that Obama is only interested in political expedience. he takes both sides of every issue so he can tell the voters on both sides that he is on their side.

      • fran

There is a post today at Riverdaughter responding to the Salon article as well, and the emphasis in that post regards the fundamental issue of Obama’s illegitimacy as the nominee due to a manipulated primary process.

For me, his inexperience was the initial reason I was not drawn to him. That has became more apparent as a liability during the debates and the primary season. He does not understand diplomacy–even within his own party–or know how to manage conflict. Then, I started to notice the overbearing arrogance in many different instances. Oh: and don’t forget the weak character, race-baiting, sexist contempt, and continuous lying.

These all add to the conviction that he is unsuitable for the presidency, but like the Riverdaughter post, for me the most basic issue is the unethical and manipulative behavior of the Obama Campaign and the DNC. The disenfranchisement of 2 states (until it was politically convenient to include their delegates in an fraudulent manner), and the RBC’s lack of integry and principle is non-negotiable. They ignored the will of the people, violated their own Party Charter, and decided to carry him across the finish line, selecting the nominee for us. For that reason alone, I will never vote for him and endorse the party’s abuse of power.

      This defies understanding.

And if he believes so much in Freedom of Speech, why has he hired his Internet gang to shut us up???

        The Obama Rules

        1. If his mouth moves, he’s lying.
        2. If he writes anything, he’s plagiarizing.
        3. If he’s against something, he’s really for it but only as
far as it will help him.
        4. If he’s for something, see above and invert.
        5. If you disagree with him, you are a racist.

Feel free to add on. There have to be sub-groups of all of these.

        • WildChild

The Jelloman (AKA: BOBO the magnificent)rules

          1. If his mouth moves, he’s lying.

          3. If he’s against something, he’s really for it but only as

          4. If he’s for something, see above and invert.
          5. If you disagree with him, you are a racist.

6: BOBO will never say to the camera what he can get his campaign to say to thousands of reporters behind the scenes.

          • IndayHill

7.If he calls you “sweetie”, he means, stay out of my way and behave, if you want me to call on you.

    • derridog

Hi Beebop, I have a friend who is challenging me when I say that Obama has no record of supporting women’s rights. She refers me to the Naral website. Do you have a link to the information you are giving above?

I’d also appreciate from anybody other links that give any info on Obama’s actual voting record on reproductive. sex-crime victims or women’s rights.

      • beebop

The link is there from the International Herald Tribune. Your friend needs to do some research! Hope doesn’t make it so!

      • Susan

The Independents website lists voting records for all politicians. Go there. It is great!

      • Linda K

When the NARAL PAC endorsed Obama over Hillary Clinton they had a massive revolt of their members and because of it they have lost tens of thousands of members and donations. It’s Hillary who’s good on women’s rights repro or otherwise.

    • Lucinda

Over on John McCain’s website a few weeks ago, he had a little quiz about the differences between his and Obama’s voting records. One of the questions was, “Who was the only senator to vote against the ban on human cloning?” The answer was Senator Obama, and Obama was quoted as saying, “I pushed the wrong button.”
I sure don’t want that man anywhere near any buttons that might launch a nuclear attack. Do you?

      • BlueTopaz

Probably, Obama wants to clone himself. He didn’t press the wrong button. He wants the Obamas from Brazil. ( had to change the title of that movie, to prevent be accused of being a racist, not that that would stop his followers. Hell, to them the word fairytale is racist. Personally, I think he was offended by the word “Fairy”, since he’s is still in the closet.)

        • workingclass artist

LOL….Perhaps he already has and the Obama Clones just cannot get
          their actions and facts straight…..Hmmm let’s see…..
Obama clone # 1 – great teleprompting skills. Lousy at improvisation.
Obama clone # 2 – may be prone to joy riding in Limo’s.
Obama clone # 3 – Enhanced jive dancin skills but poor bowler.
Obama clone # 4 – Enjoys waffles but poor ability to control pouting.

How many clones could there be……chuckle…..curiouser and curiouser….

          • Andy Lewis

How many clones? As many as it takss…and in his case it takes a village.

          • corage

            that’s hella funny.

    • Total disgust

      beebop-
I dont think he can cast a positive vote when it comes to womens rights, which most sexual crimes are commited by men against women, that would go against his true beliefs. That of saria law. Racist, Marxist, antisemitic, dishonest and the list goes on and on. Same reason he can’t put his hand on his heart while pledging allegance to our flag or why he can’t wear the lapel. This is what I have come to believe. He will throw each and every supporter of his under the bus. He just needs to be through with them. Why we can see his true colors and so many others can’t. Already so many with voters remorse. I can’t believe it has gone this far. Brazile, Oprah, Pelosi and the like should read what you have posted hear. How could they be so naive? GOD BLESS AMERICA….

    • Ted

The author writes a piece about how Obama makes politically expedient decisions when voting, and you back it up with an example of when he was the only one to not vote in favor of a bill.

Wouldn’t the politically expedient thing have been to vote along with everyone else? Seems he is wrong for going with the crowd and wrong for going against it.

    • Jerry

Of course there is a way to explain it, for instance his floor statement at the time. He was actually a sponsor of the Senate Bill but when the language was changed he felt it violated the First Amendment and he explained why.

The “present” vote really was an accepted tactical measure in the Illinois senate although Obama did a crummy job explaining that. Usually it was done in a larger group but Obama was the sole several times and either solo or in a group of 6 or less voting present 36 times. There is almost always a floor statement on the record and when he was the lone present vote it was almost always constitutional.

Look whenever there was a claim made for or against one of our candidates I researched it. The Present votes sound bad but they are not, it didn’t mean undecided, Several papers have researched the votes and there was just one they felt might be him being unwilling to take a side for political reasons, just before he rab against Rush for US Rep. (Not this vote) One of the articles I remember was in the NY Times and it was called “It’s Not Just ‘Ayes’ and ‘Nays’”

Obama is a liar. Obama and a pliant Democratic congress would be the death of this country.

Does anyone remember what happened when the Republicans controlled both the legislature and the executive?

I believed Clinton could stand up to the Dem congress, but I know Obama will not. He has no principles, he changes as the political wind blows.

I want divided government. By all estimations the Dems will increase their numbers in congress. I will vote for McCain in order to have checks and balances. Let the two party’s fight it out, and come up with compromises. I do not want to see what the Dem congress will rubber stamp for Obama.

    Divided Government ’08′!!!

    • KG

On the chance that Obama is elected, for the first time in my life I’m voting republican. And not just for the presidential slot, but all the way down ticket. On the chance that Obama is elected, I want as many republicans down ticket as we can get.

      • PhxNickD

Gotta say I agree. McCain is not my “protest” vote. I truly believe he is the better candidate when against Obama. My protest votes will be the down ticket dems — namely any dem that openly supported Obama during the primary.

        • KG

Neither of mine are protest votes, but are more towards trying to keep the checks and balances in order as much as possible.

I do NOT TRUST Obama. He is a disrespectful, egoistic PHONY!
Not fitted to be the POTUS of my great country.
America needs a break from another incompetent, deceitful, dishonest leader, whose,”opps, I press the wrong button,” is so SCARY!
An 8th grader is smarter than Obama: 57 states!

P.S. LOVED the Constitution they wrote, didn’t you? I highly recommend it to all Americans as a great and informative read. Heck, I even recommend it to politicians! ;) )

Obama is a Political Coward! Always was and always will be! Those of us here in Illinois that have PAID attention to this man know this all too well!

yes the Salon piece is right up there with NBC jackaxx Capus saying women will come back to MSNBC b/c they have nowhere else to go..

      heard of Fox Capus? moron..

      • DAB

Walter Shapiro’s companion article about how we will all come home because we have nowhere to go was even more infuriating. At least Rebecca Traister offered some of the reasons that we are , lets say , UPSET!

Both writers came to the same “nowhere to go” conclusion however. This just tells you that if we don’t vote for McCain, the Dems will never get it and we’ll be outside the loop forevermore.

  • Linda

OH! I just had to remark and break from reading to comment after seeing this ““Will Clinton supporters vote for Obama?,” by Rebecca Traister. The story’s subtitle: “The attack of the PUMAs, or a dozen reasons why Clinton voters are still too angry to come home.””

Are the only ones in the B O Camp delusional? We ARE home. They’ve taken over the Club House to make their own rules, drink and deny reality. We choose not be be a member of their Club, that’s all. After all, someone is going to have to get back to real responsibility when they’re done playing house.

OK, now back to read the rest.

  • John

When Salon publishes this stuff, it’s all the more reason to create an even more powerful backlash against Obama. Talk to your friends and neighbors and warn them about Barackuda.

Government should go back to its strictly constitutional functions. To put it bluntly, quit taxing one man at gunpoint to put a check in the hands of another man.

      Definitely.

They’re deep in denial. I think that they will progress quickly to anger and bargaining in late August if/when the Supers officially hand Mr. Flim-Flam the nomination and more Hillary supporters throw their support behind McCain during the Republican convention about a week after the Democratic convention.

Five months will not be enough for Obama and his sleazy minions everywhere to erase the memories of their scummy behavior and the blatant hijacking & theft of the Democratic nomination. Many are still in deep anger about Bush and thieving Republicans stealing the Presidency – and that was EIGHT YEARS ago. So kool-aid drinkers thinking that all will be forgotten in November is simply ridiculous.

Go away Fred. Your comments are not part of a civilized discussion.

      • http://www.stillstacy.com Stacy

Although Fred’s comment is out of line, it does raise an important point. I’m tired of Dean’s DNC and the BO campaign viewing everything through racist glasses. Us criticizing him has nothing to do with the fact that he’s Mulatto. He’s incompetent; period.

But you know, I’m a typical white person, right?

        • http://nobho.blogspot.com/ Johnny at Work

The Obama campaign keeps instigating the RACE CARD, and then blames the opposition.

Obama, “and did I mention that he’s black”.

Obama and Axelcrap have a strategy to get the Black Vote pumped up for a high turnout, and get the White Guilt Sympathy vote. It worked in the primary, but will likely backfire in the General.

Why? No one wants to be called a racist from someone standing on a racist pulpit.

Most whites are going to tell Spike Lee to cram his Chocolate City up his Chocolate Ass.

Spike Lee and the Hip Hop Gansta Culture is a loser for Obama.

But that is what the O’boy campaign will get for fanning the flame of the RACE CARD.

BTW – A high black turnout at best could win Obama the popular vote concentrated in the large cities. But he will lose the votes in the key swing states, and lose in the Electoral College.

      • IndayHill

Fred is just giving us the scenario created by Obama & his supporters, who is using the race card since day one. To the surprise of sane voters, it worked!
I am so burnt-out hearing the Obamas, DNC, Chicago dirty political machine using the race card. Obama is getting once again the free pass from the media.

So many real life people seem to offer anecdotes about disenchanted Dems that they know, more often than not, longtime ones. It is hard to know exactly how many of us are out there, but the subject just doesn’t seem to go away, so I doubt that its a phantom issue.

I guess we will only know for sure on Nov. 4 how much staying power it has. My guess is that based on how the Dems are telling us to get over it and Obama doesn’t really want to waste any of his precious time assuaging Hillary supporters, it will not go away in time for the election. Heck, many of us are still smarting about the obvious chicanery of the 2000 debacle — what’s a few months?

Agreed. Barak is a fraud to his supporters but we see him very clearly. It has been very educational though. I though that Black Liberation Theology had disappeared along with the Black Panthers and that people decided to put civil rights into action. Good to know that Farrakhan and his ilk are still screaming about white devils. He sets civil rights back 100 years.

Alexandria, Va.: Obama’s new ad (which plays a lot in Alexandria) shows pictures of his mother and grandparents, playing up his white family. Until now he’s been “African American”; now suddenly he’s a white Midwesterner? During the primary Hillary was criticized for changing her image too many times. Won’t Obama be criticized for doing the same thing?

Jonathan Weisman: I haven’t heard that criticism, but it is striking. Not a single picture of his father. Now, that really is consistent with his upbringing. He really did not become immersed in black American culture until he left college and went to Chicago. The great irony is that he is much more white than black, beyond skin color.

Just as I predicted last week. Next flip will be now he’s more white than black. Whether it comes out of his pandering lips or not, the inference is right there in front of you. It’s made to appeal to liberal white guilt and those who can pat themselves on the back for being racially inclusive. In the meantime, he kisses up to BLT and Farrakhan. He’s disgusting.

Yeah, down is up, wrong is right, backward is forward, white is black and black is white. It’s almost Roveian.

      • Susan

Oh, oh! Wasn’t it said that if he were a white man he’d have never gotten this far? I agree with Ferraro BTW. Anyway, he might want to stay black. If he’s white, he just looks inexperienced compared to McCain. Not to mention Black is the only thing he really had going for him.

White Obama, black Obama, split personality? Yes.

  • Hadley V. Baxendale

The Dem elites were thinking that they were brilliant strategist to anoint a candidate that had no prior political record that could burden the candidate to an unpopular single issue or be used by the opponent to attack the candidate, thus the specter of another Kerry-like flip-flopper would be mitigated. Ah , well, the best laid plans and all that, the razor thin resume just opened a Pandora’s box of other problems.

When there is no record to run on, the candidate can be whatever he wants to be and by defining the candidacy only in the negative (as being only against that what currently is) the voters will project the their own beliefs and positions into those of the candidate, even though the candidate may have an unstated position in opposition.

The Obama candidacy reminds my of an old joke. An accountant, a mathematician and a lawyer were interviewing for the same job. The recruiter asked each of them privately the same question, how much is 2+2?

The accountant responded, in my profession numbers are absolute, so an absolute 2 plus an absolute 2 is absolutely 4.

The mathematician responded, in my profession numbers express a range of probabilities, so a probable 2 plus a probable 2 is probably between 3 and 5.

The lawyer upon being asked, jumped from his chair, drew the blinds and curtains shut on all the windows, cracked open the door and peeked outside then bolted it shut. He then walked over to the front of the recruiter’s desk, his hands grasped to the front edge of the desk, leaned forward and with a steely eyed gaze into on the eyes of the recruiter in a low voice asks “how much do you want it to be?”

    • http://nobho.blogspot.com/ Johnny at Work

Actually that joke is about “how to select an accountant”.

Three accountants are asked how much two plus two is. The punch line is from the third accountant – “How much do you need it to be?”

      Nice adaptation though.

    • IndayHill

This one suits the lawyer we despise, Obama.
However, replace the cautious, sneaky one to Obama’s “in your face, I do not care attitude” and America gets a very dangerous leader.

Okay … this is the THIRD TIME I have tried to post this … guess the blog doesn’t like NYTimes link?

          She DIDN’T VOTE! Hahahahahahahaha ….

Exactly what will happen in November when you rely on kids!

So, did the “Obama Girl” actually vote for Barack Obama on Tuesday?
          Actually, no.

Last summer, the music video “I Got a Crush on Obama” was a Web hit, splashing a seductive performance by a 26-year-old model named Amber Lee Ettinger across millions of screens and prompting deep thoughts about candidates and sex appeal, the YouTube generation of voters, viral marketing and so forth.
On Tuesday night, City Room ran into Ms. Ettinger at an election-watching party in Greenwich Village and asked how things went at the polls.
“I didn’t get a chance to vote today because I’m not registered to vote in New York,” she said.
So where is Obama Girl registered to vote?
          “New Jersey.”
Um, but didn’t New Jersey also hold a primary?
True. The problem, she explained, was that she was sick in New York City and was unable to get back across the Hudson River to the polls in Jersey City.
“I was in Arizona for the Super Bowl — every time I get in the airplane I get sick,” said Ms. Ettinger, who did manage to make it to the Svedka Fembot election returns party at Chinatown Brasserie. (The Fembot campaign for the White House, the Svedka marketing manager assured us, is not a commentary in any way on Hillary Rodham Clinton, who defeated Mr. Obama in both New York and New Jersey.)
Ms. Ettinger said she had dragged herself out Tuesday night under duress only because she was scheduled to perform at the Bowery Poetry Club. The previous day she had hit the streets of New York to interview voters, where a Daily News photographer snapped her picture on Park Avenue.
And how did she feel about missing the opportunity to cast her ballot for her one and only? “I’m a little upset but I really couldn’t help it today,” she said mournfully.
Well, she might get another chance in November. Or not.

    Ani,

Great read, I appreciate your ability to bring out so much of what many of us having been seeing for a very long time. The media in all forms has become an addict-like persona, looking for the next fix, of attention, as they have become part of the story, instead of either investigating or reporting. I truly believe, good old-fashioned boycotts, can work. We all know money talks; and while expressing our views helps us keep our sanity, a great amount of slander and harrassment has been allowed for way too long regarding the campaigns. I recall in February of this year writing a letter to complain of a violent rape suggesting remark I had read regarding Senator Clinton. I never heard a whisper.
When I say boycott, it is about the news channels and the internet sites, but it is also about looking at companies that support these candidates that are at the lowest level of any form of morality. It’s about voting for your country, not a party. Finally, I will mention my role in being against the war, a few years ago, I expressed my upset, and I can count on one hand during that time, how many people were supportive. I had to remain quiet or I was considered unpatriotic. It wasn’t about not supporting our troops, it was about not supporting the act of war. Much like what we hear now it’s not about not supporting a candidate because of race, but rather because of lack of experience.
The very least of my expectations of a candidate for President, is someone who knows where the buttons are, can understand what they are labeled, before pushing any of them…….Remember the first person we actually saw cruelly swiftboated was Senator McCain, endlessly in the 1999/2000 primaries. It made my stomach turn then. These older hands will not vote for anyone near the name of Obama, it has never been in my nature to favor disrespect, lying or cheating. Great site, and a safe site for those of us who will not go back “home”. The DNC took a big poop in it and it has been condemned as far as I am concerned.

    • Ndree

Is this the person who will be in charge of pushing that nuclear button, and then says: ooops, mistake???!!!

      • Mawm

Sorry, pushed the wrong button! :(

All I can say is that Bob Barr must be an Obama Supporter. And if you look hard enough you may find that he gets his campaign support from Obama and Moveon.

Anyone voting for Barr is voting for Obama.

You are not going to see Repubs vote for Barr they way Dems voted for Nader. They will not vote for a sure loser.

They know Barr has no shot and their revulsion for Obambi will overwhelm any misgivings about McCain.

      • KG

I think by the time November comes rolling around that the Republicans (new and old) will understand how important every single vote is. Barr won’t go far.

      • etc.

I sure hope you’re right. I don’t like the idea of Bob Barr syphoning ANY votes from McCain. If we can’t have Hillary, McCain MUST beat Obama.

        • KG

I hope I’m right too. But think about it. Barr would pull far right conservatives away from voting for McCain. Are far right conservatives in such disdain of this country that they would chance Obama as president?

Obama is not qualified to be President of the United States of America if judged by the resumes/credentials of those who have held that office in the last 100 plus years.

The link below provides background on all of the Presidents. If you compare Obama’s resume with any of the past 100 years Presidents he comes up unqualified by any reasonable measure.

    whitehouse.gov/history/presidents/chronological.html

The Presidency of the United States of America should not be an Affirmative Action or internship position.

I am not opposed to the idea of the Office of the President being held by a non 100% white male or a female of any ethnicity.

Colin Powell, before he let himself become a tool of Bush/Cheney, coulda, shoulda, woulda been a real nonpartisan, post-racial, transformative Presidential candidate.

There have been plenty of white males who have been less than stellar Presidents. The first female or non white male will make it easier or more difficult for those who follow. I fear that indications are that BO will make it more difficult.

If Obama couldn’t get Rev. Wright or TUCC to quit clinging to the bitterness of Black Liberation Theology in 20 years of association, what chance is there that he can “change” the USA in four years.

Now that the primary is over, this election is not about Hillary or the Democratic Party anymore. It is only about Barack Obama and how comfortable do you feel about his capability to be President of the United State of America.

  • http://edgeoforever.wordpress.com/ Robbedvoter

    I disagree.
The number one reason: he was selected not elected. This trumps all other reasons.
Stealing elections, not something I get over with. Just ask W.

    • Five Thirty

“The number one reason: he was selected not elected.”

      Yes – I agree.

    • Teakwood

      I agree with you.

I think it is the combination of the select and the Dem Party CRAP CANNON that shot him out. (No, I haven’t forgotten the Republicans)

Money is the controlling interest that drives the process. By any standard of this metric, BO is not the best “money could buy”. Even at 4 to 1 expenditures he could not close the deal. The stake holders that own the pork pipe connected to BO’s ass are looking to the margins for insurance. Not a good sign, considering the .5 trillion dollars that will be expended on this race.

Organic talent and experience are eclipsed by overt indifference and greed. Democratic Socialism masquerading as a form “elite” wealth distribution will not sustain it self with any degree of consistency, forcing all the public interest projects, of national value, to languish amongst the 18 million pieces of hanging chad.

President Clinton speaking last night to the nation’s mayors had some major points to highlight. Addressing the connections of all the moving parts that have to be addressed to achieve any measure boiled it down to saying you can legislate all you want but it won’t matter if people at the state and local level don’t execute…”the doers and problem solvers”.

At this point in time, what I ‘ave to look forward to are three known events that may effect the outcome. Senator Clinton being nominated in Denver, watching BO self-destruct for want of speaking truth to power, and McCain becoming president.

Lord knows, I would have voted for George Carlin before I would vote for BO.

In his honor and with your forgiveness…

      Just words?

And words, you know the seven don’t you? Shit, Piss, Fuck, Cunt, Cocksucker, Motherfucker, and Tits, huh? Those are the heavy seven. Those are the ones that will infect your soul, curve your spine and keep the country from winning the war.

      I will miss his words.

Here are my top 10 reasons why I’m not voting for Barrack Obama:

    1. His has specious pastors and associates (Rezko, Ayers, Wright, Farakhan, Michelle Obama …).

    2. When he’s off the teleprompter and in a debate, he shows no understanding of policy–especially foreign policy and diplomacy.

    3. Whenever there is a vote on something difficult, he doesn’t vote or he votes present so he says things but does nothing.

    4. His list of achievements can be summed up in one bullet point: getting into office, jobs, and schools on something less than merit and hard work.

    5. His demeanor reminds me of Dubya. He is smug, arrogant and when questioned comes off as some one whose entitled to NOT be questioned on anything.

    6. He got his house and side yard in a sweet heart deal with his friend Rezko, the felon.

    7. He got his two terms in the Il. state legislature by getting his opponents thrown out on technicalities and got the U.S. senate position when his Republican opponent quit when his supposedly sealed divorce records got opened mysteriously.

    8. Michigan primary (sic): If he can get pledged delegates by not being on the ballot, then I want some Michigan pledged delegates too. Basically I hate injustice and every thing the RBC and the DNC did to rig the nomination for him falls into that heading.

    9. He says he will negotiate with leaders of rogue nations which is just one of the reasons he’s been endorsed by the likes of Kim Jong Il, Khadafi, Hamas, Fidel Castro …

and the number 10 reason I’m not voting for Obama:

    HE LIES!!!!

    (go ani, go!!!)

You’re so much kinder than I feel. I am not voting for him because he is a sexist, misogynistic, duplicitous, cheating, lying, thuggish pandering sack of shit who never achieved a single thing in his life but to take credit for other people’s work.

    • http://www.stillstacy.com Stacy

Wow, just wow. I’ve said it before here and I’ll say it again . . . I am a moderate Republican, and I cannot get past what has happened to Senator Clinton. Although I have never agreed with her ideology, I have always respected her. That respect grew during the primary race. My heart aches for her and all of you, her loyal supporters, who were thrown under the bus for a slick talking snake oil salesman. I feel so strongly about this that I joined the PUMA Facebook group. Right now what Senator Clinton is experiencing is what has been happening to my party for quite some time. The media, choosing a side and not allowing for a proper dissection of an issue and/or a candidate. Sadly, the schtick that Saturday Night Live does regarding how easy the media has been on BO is painfully accurate.

Essentially we (Republicans and Democrats) want the same thing for our country, we just believe in different paths to reach that point. Senator Clinton has the ability to work on a bipartisan level, as does Senator McCain. We need more politicians like those two.

Keep fighting your good fight. We cannot allow the media to step upon our right to choose a candidate.

You know the irony of all this is that because of obama, moderate Republicans and moderate Democrats will come together and unite and work together for our common cause to defeat him in November.

I guess you could say that obama was a uniter in that regard!

        • http://www.stillstacy.com Stacy

          LOL. That’s pretty funny.

        • Susan

I had those same thoughts. I used to say uniter???? Of who??? But now I realize he has united all PUMAs!

          • http://nobho.blogspot.com/ Johnny at Work

Who would have predicted that anyone could create a coalition that includes moderate and liberal Democrats, Sean Hannity and Ann Coulter?

Who would have thought that moderate Democrats, and even many liberals would find themselves agreeing with Sean, Ann, and even … cringe …. O’Reilly?

            Obama has done it!

Turns out that Obama really is a uniter. He has united half the Democratic Party against himself and the left wing elite of the Democratic Party.

            • IndayHill

              Correct!

              P.U.M.A. ready to ROAR!!!

Please tell me and the other PUMAs, do we need to ask permission from the Republicans if we want to attend Senator John McCain’s local event?

Of course, I will wear my Hillary t-shirt.

      • ginaswo still says no Uhhbama

thank you. I am wondering if this has been going on for a while and I am only now seeing it? the party has just failed us on SO many levels, CORE VALUES, the charter violated for Gawds sake

Brillliant, Ani. I stopped reading Salon years ago and am not surprised that they miss the point by miles. They are truly CLUELESS. Thank you for describing the difference between the Anointed One and Hillary so well! PUMA POWER!

  • Deborah C

Here’s another reason. Barack has essentially reversed himself on almost everything he has postured on during this campaign. Instead of bringing change to politics, he reverts to everything he has learned in Chicago politics. The main argument being made in that article and other places around the Obama blogs is that there is little difference in policy between Hillary and Obama. But I believe that once he sets out to reverse himself on policy, one item after another, then he has wiped out the policy argument and now it is just basically a character issue; of which he has none.

LDW Please excuse me I thought because I was a black man I was entitled to say anything I chose. You know “Its A Black Thing”

Fred, the same thing happens to me all the time. I have to temper my comments at non-black sites, so I started my own blog where I can say whatever I want.

    • TeakwoodKite

Sonya, I have seen comments that are way more “out of line” than Freds…

Is the Internet to become segregated? Geez

I have to temper my comments, out of fear I’ll make more typo’s than I normally do, but race should have squat to do with it.

I don’t understand really, are we not human beings first?

    Who writes those scripts?
I mean I know of the Clinton derangement syndrome – but this is the most twisted applications yet.
So, I don’t vote for your election stealing Messiah because…I am angry at Bill Clinton?
    I give up.

Thank you for stating it. I am not voting for this goofball because he is a liar, backstabber, fraud, hologram, and a result of clever marketing by Axelrod and his crew. Our nation is currently “in waiting” to be rid of a guy in the executive office with similar characteristics and probably a crew who is just as good as marketing as Axelrod. Why would we vote in another GWB TWIN?
McCain is not much better, but at least we know where he stands. I know how much he dislikes my family (gay), where he is going with the war, global warming, courts, etc. I would rather have my enemy right in front of me than have him behind me, as in Obama.

I’ve have been pointing out Obama’s lack of courage for months. He may be slick and clever, but he sure as hell isn’t courageous.

Several weeks ago I said, “Obama’s record of real accomplishment is slim indeed. His voting record is a travesty of incompetence and neglect. How can anyone forgive his 100 plus “present” votes? He didn’t have the courage to vote either “yes” or “no” over 100 times!”

I issued a challenge to an Obama supporter recently . . . find another politician with a “voting” record as pathetic as Obama’s. No one has taken be up on the challenge because I find it hard to believe there is one.

  • http://www.obama-wire.com Paul
  • mimi

“The great irony is that he is much more white than black, beyond skin color.”

I said this from the very beginning and the response was ‘sound-bite’ tactics:

“What’s the matter? Obama’s not black enough?”

We live in a world where any kind of deep discussion has become virtually impossible.

The fact that Obama is more white than black is not my opinion. It is the fact of his upbringing.

I had no part in the circumstances of his birth and subsequent upbringing. I merely analyzed the truth.

Obama was raised by white people. The only AAs he is related to are the little girls he sired.

This does not make him a pariah.

But it does call into question the irresponsible way his campaign played the race card and is still playing it. He has exploited the very tortured past of black American history from slavery to the present day. He has not personally experienced any of this. He was raised on an island paradise where native Hawaiian culture dominated. Physically, he fit right in as a child. I don’t care what he says. There’s no way when he played on the beach as a child that people stopped and pointed: “What’s this n!gger doing in Hawaii?” I’d put money on the fact that this never happened. Certainly not on the island of Hawaii with Obama looking the way he did as a child.

His first brush with racism probably didn’t happen until he went to Occidental College. Yes, California Police are notorious for racial profiling. It was as an adult, that he really understood the full extent of how his skin color played a role in the society. Hence, the comment about not wanting to “ingratiate” himself with white people by revealing his mother was white.

But whatever happened as an adult, does not change that he was raised within the culture of a white family. But it’s clear that he’s always been resentful of this fact. For that, he should blame his African father for abandoning him. After all, he could have sent for him every summer to spend time with him in Kenya and expose Obama to his family heritage and Kenyan culture.

In the meantime, yet again, we, the American citizen, must watch another saga of an American President with a father complex play out.

Haven’t we suffered enough of this shit?

    • Ann On

Playing this up to AA voters would be a great way to turn them off Barky. If they were racist, you know.

      • beebop

I was wondering about that myself. His constituents have been kids and AA’s …. if they stay home November 4th without BoBo making inroads with any of the traditional Dems, he is — in a word — FRACKED!

    • TeakwoodKite

His first brush with racism probably didn’t happen until he went to Occidental College

I would suggest that it occurred while he was in Jakarta. Little tag along Barry was getting called all sorts of fine words and shown it as well… And Barry was obviously different than those around him.

He spent time with “Franky” who had him primed. He talked about racial issues in Hawaii.

I was slumming over at TalkLeft this morning when (I came across That article. It really irritated my scales! ;-)
    First things first:
I was amazed at how the writers at TalkLeft had jumped off the dep end lately in their defense of Obambi! When I read the text, and I quote:

.As someone whose vote and support for Barack Obama for President in this election is unshakeable (I know what John McCain is and I want no part of a John McCain Presidency), I am decidedly NOT a fan of the PUMA movement. Indeed, I oppose it. But I was outraged by the behavior of the Media and the blogs towards Hillary Clinton and I will not soon forget what they did. John Cole, whose tin ear on the issues of sexism and misogyny is pretty well established, thinks that the PUMAs will not like this Rebecca Traister article. Since I am not a PUMA, I can not say for sure, but I know I liked these parts of the article:

    End quote

Now how much do you think they sold their souls for over at the once great TalkLeft? I was really offended by that article.

Sorry about your scales…. Must be hell at the “scale salon” :)

What I get from your quote is an individual who has really gotten into a mind jam.

” I am for A never B and “feel” sorry for C, but D who wants C and never B, will vote for A. (not all)

      Who thinks like this?

Rebecca Traister article is PUMA baiting. More BO astroturfing. The eq of papering ‘them’ to irrelevancy. Typical, but the hits will keep on coming. BO is stupid enough to fight a two front war, good luck with that.

  • BryanMartin

I agree, they are not going to understand the movement until Obama is defeated in November. This article was so clueless it was offensive. I’m not voting for Obama because he is a liar, a fraud, a racist, incapable of governing the largest economy in the world, and frankly kind of a jerk.. I could go on and on and on, the woman that wrote this article must be a joke. If she wanted to understand the PUMA movement, why didn’t she ask the PUMAS.
And somehow people always leave out the Clinton took a higher percentage of males than Obama in many of the demographics.
The media is not going to do it’s job, we must take our work to the streets.

FYI – This story (http://corner.nationalreview.com/post/?q=Y2YxNTk0NzBiNjgzZmY0MjEwYzg5ODViMjMxN2JlY2Y=)was just posted on the National Review Online (yeah – I know – a GOP blog), but still – darn funny:

    Key passage below:

    Monday, June 23, 2008

    Padding Obama [Yuval Levin]

Barack Obama released his first general election ad on Friday, which…offers an example of the kind of brazen padding of the resume that Obama will inevitably need to engage in…

About 46 seconds into the ad, we are told that Obama “passed laws” that “extended healthcare for wounded troops who’d been neglected,” and in the usual manner of these political commercials we are given a little citation at the bottom. The citation reads “Public Law 110-181 1/28/08”…

Public Law 110-181 was the 2008 defense authorization bill. It passed the Senate by 91 to 3 in January, with six Senators not voting. Among those six absentees was Barack Obama. So he cites a bill he didn’t even vote for…
(there’s more – check out the link)

    • educatedwhitewoman

So his first GE ad is based on a bald-faced lie? Will the MSM ever call this guy out on his constant inability to TELL THE TRUTH! This is change for the worse. There’s a great article over at SavagePolitics discussing Castro’s brilliant and blatant lies and propaganda directed at the people to gain their support for his revolution.

    Qualifications for the presidency:

No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty-five years, and been fourteen years a resident within the United States.

–US Constitution, Article II, Section 1

Them’s the qualifications. If they’re met, the American people decide who deserves the job. Your insistence that Barack’s not qualified makes you an anti-American jerk.

      • Right On

The point, JAW, is that there are specific, finite qualifications. After that, the voters decide based on myriad considerations about what they want in a leader. If you idiots were interested in real debate beyond the mutual-masturbatory-Obama-hatred-fetish that is this website, you’d be capable of acknowledging the different priorities of different voters, and try to sway them with the logic of your priorities. Proclaiming ad nauseum that Barack’s not qualified is not only patently false, it’s unconstructive and cowardly. If you weren’t such a chickenshit you wouldn’t be afraid of arguing actual differences without all the smears and lies.

        • Ferd Berfle

          Right On:

Wrong again. Obama is monumentally unqualified. He is nothing more than a manipulator, albeit a good one. Platitudes do not constitute policy and getting elected to the Senate does not constitute qualification for the office of President.

        • http://nobho.blogspot.com/ Johnny at Work

We’ve heard O’boy speak, looked at his wafer thin resume, watched him flip flop more than the pancakes at a church fund raiser… and… the determination is…… he his hightly unqualified…..

    • Ferd Berfle

Those qualifications are de minimis, Goob. I believe we need a great deal more than just another empty suit. Oblowme is to the Democrats what George Bush is to the Repugs–a party crippler. I’ll take McCain anyday over a lightweight gasbag like Obambi.

I just read the Salon/Traister article. As expected the most vulgar, vile posters came out from under their rocks. There’s another one today from Shapiro…same topic. Only difference is that, so far, the posters responding are pissed off women.

On a positive note, McCain came out with an inspiring idea for re-introducing electric cars…saying that we are the nation of Edison, Ford, and that we are the most innovative in thw world. He said if Brazil can turn their energy dependence around in 3 years, we can too. He would reward inventors for building a better battery for the electric car and he’d give a 5k credit for every hybrid/electric purchase. That alone would cut emissions 30% right away. Go Grampa!!

Happened to see Joy Behar on Larry King Live this weekend, flicking through channels. Stopped for a moment to hear their blathering. King asked some inane question about wooing the Clinton voters. She said Obama doesn’t have to worry about that. He doesn’t need to. “I know women will vote for Obama. He has to work on the white man vote,” she said emphatically.

I turned the channel real fast, yelling Shut the Fuck Up, of course. But then I wondered, does she want Obama to lose? How on earth does she get through life being so dumb? And who the fuck gave her a platform to speak for all women? Unnerving. I’ve been saying since February to anyone who would listen that Democratic women are NOT coming back to the fold this fall. Forget it.

    • http://www.stillstacy.com Stacy

Are there any PUMA people thinking about reaching out to the disenfranchised Obama supporters? Now that Obama is throwing his previously stated positions under the bus (FISA, NAFTA, campaign finance, etc.) there might be an opportunity here with supporters who previously believed him. Maybe now the Obama supporters are beginning to see what we’ve been warning them about.

Thanks Ani, great post. I was just over at the BBC News looking at Justin Webb’s column. You wouldn’t believe it but they are all for Obama as is most of the rest of the world. They see it as America is coming of age and electing a black man. Idiots. My vote won’t be for the black man not because of his skin color but because of who he is and what he isn’t and of course all of associations. It was disgusting to me to read the comments and what they say about the Clintons and why we are electing Obama and how we will fall in line. Screw them. Stupid British. Their country is going Muslim. Sorry Brits but no thanks, not here, not ever. We are America. Muslims can have their countries and we’ll have ours. Obama can kiss my ass. Despicable person he is along with his supporters. Vote McCain because he is an American, he is patriotic and he is a moderate. We can only hope that Hillary somehow gets the nomination in August but if not go republican all the way. I am still reeling at how many comments against the Clintons I read. They don’t even understand anything about Obama except that he’s black. Of course no thanks to our news media no ever truly reporting just idolizing.

The 40% figure is from the 110th Congress. During the 109th, he cast 634 votes, and missed a mere 11 votes.

And while we’re on the subject, do you know what percent of votes John McCain missed during the 110th Congress? 61%. More than any other Senator.

That was a really lame article on Salon.com. The author apparently can’t count, so she has no idea that Clinton actually got the most votes and won the most states. And that the DNC totally trampled the US Constitution that guarantees the right to vote and have it count as the ballot was cast. They ‘interpreted’ the votes of FL and MI as they desired. To hell with counting the ballots as they were cast. The author probably isn’t aware that Obama supporters manipulated caucuses. The primary was a disgrace to freedom and democracy. She probably isn’t aware that Obama is linked to crime like crazy. That he doesn’t have much legislative experience. She probably doesn’t realize that Obama has consistently supported big business at the expense of the people and the environment. She doesn’t realize that he has shown incredibly poor judgement in not supporting legislation to protect children from guns and pornography at schools and women who are the victim of rape. I hope she realizes that the kool-aide is poison.

  • The Real Hope

First: There is no HOME for us to which we will go HOME! PERIOD! Some of us have taken this to heart and intend to keep our integrity intact despite the Democratic Party’s delusional belief that millions of us are going to make dutiful, spiritual pilgrimages back to Party headquarters.

The idea that the DP believes we will throw away all self-esteem by insisting that we will “go home” in the end, testifies to the fact of just how maniacal and egotistical they really are. They believe they know us better than we know ourselves. If that isn’t audacious then I have no idea what truly defines audacity.

The more they continue this delusional insistence, the more alienated we will become. They need to admit that they bet far too early on the wrong horse before investigating pedigree.

  • blueasthesky

An article about why some Hillary voters are rejecting Obama, and not a single one of these voters was interviewed.

I guess this is what passes for journalism these days.

    • Ferd Berfle

      blueasthesky:

This democrat of 32 years wouldn’t vote for Oblowme if he ran against another Bush. Obamabots want us to trade in an ignorant twit with another ignorant twit. No thanks.

  • Ferd Berfle

You have to wonder about those Obamabots. They want Oblowme to be elected and desire the votes of Hillary supporters to make that happen, but still insist on belittling her (and them) at every opportunity. I don’t think I’ve ever come across a more obtuse group of dingalings.

Obama will join the elite group of rejects such as Adlai Stevenson, Hubert Humphrey, George McGovern, Walter Mondale, Michael Dukakis, and John Kerry.

JOAN WALSH, EDITOR IN CHIEF, SALON.COM: You know, Chris, she chose her words poorly. I wish she had referred to Bobby Kennedy still campaigning in June, because that was her point.

I mean, even you, leading into this segment, have suggested that she‘s keeping her campaign alive because Bobby—Bobby Kennedy, you know, was assassinated in June. She did not say that, Chris. She was making the point that campaigns have run into June before.

            MATTHEWS: Yes.

WALSH: It was an unfortunate choice of words. But she is being bloodied for this. And I have no doubt that it came originally, somewhat, from the Obama campaign.
I got the e-mail on Friday from Bill Burton, making sure that thousands of reporters saw the remarks and that they construed it in the way he wanted them to.

            • Right On

So, WildChild, what’s your guess? What percentage of the readers here at No Quarter do you think will approve of your smear as fair, accurate, smart, and worthy of honest debate? Judging from what I’ve seen, I’d guess about 99.7% here would give you a big fat “kudos” for painting a comment by someone not affiliated with the Obama campaign — a comment that only pointed generally to an admittedly poor choice of words on Hillary’s part — as Obama “pushing the story that Hillary wanted him murdered.” Absolutely pathetic and hilarious. And par for the course around here at No Quarter.

              • WildChild

my guess is that 99.9% of the readers here at NQ would approve of characterizations of “this link to a reputable source” as “fair, accurate, smart, and worthy of honest debate.” I would get the high percentage becuase i would show them this huffy thread…

                http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/05/23/clinton-kennedy-assassina_n_103319.html

…that has the posts of over 19000 enraged BOBOweenies which demonstrate the success of BOBO pushing the story that Hillary wanting him murdered as somewhere around half of the enraged BOBOweenie posters are commenting on some variation of Hillary is staying in the race because shes expects BOBO to be killed all the way up to Hillary wanted BOBO murdered. Yes sir re BOBO, 99.9 % of us would say BOBO got his message across on that one.

                • Right On

I feel for you. You’re obviously so emotionally invested in this fight that you’ve lost the ability for logical thinking and rational discourse.

First of all, if Hillary was in some way considering the possibility that Barack might be assassinated, that doesn’t mean she wanted it to happen. Still, she can legitimately be criticized both for injecting assassination so directly into the public sphere, and, more importantly, for basing her political calculations on such possibilities.

Most relevant to you, WildChild, is the fact that a bunch of comments on a blog don’t constitute Barack “pushing the story that Hillary wanted him murdered.” Your attempt to bolster your charges by providing circumstantial evidence that some supporters believe this to be true is, I suppose, a valiant hail mary attempt, but it in no way shows that Barack was pushing the idea that — as you said — Hillary wanted him murdered.

But I suppose expecting No Quarter hate-mongers to choose their words carefully is naive on my part.

                  • WildChild

No doubt. It has been a hypothesis of mine that the average BOBOweenie (as you help to illustrate) is more about the feeling then the thinking in this campaign. For example your pondering over whether Hillary was considering that BOBO might be assassinated, LOL just after I was saying that BOBO was pushing the idea that Hillry wanted him murdered. Yes sir ree BOBO that little BOBO lie sure worked.

Now as far as you dening that BOBO was pushing the idea that Hillary wanting him murdered (mere seconds after you pondered out loud that Hillary might want him murdered) My posts are evidense that BOBO had a hand in pushing the story. The reaction from the BOBOweenies was almost immediate and intense, bordering on if not crossing into frothing up into a tizzy. But the truly despicable nature of what BOBO and you BOBoweenies did lies in the complete hypocrisy of damning Hillary for bringing up the word assassination when you BOBOweenies went on and on for the next 4 to five days and repeated the word assassination at least another hundred thousand times across the blogs and the media and in the process negated the very foundation of your faux outrage.

LMAO that you BOBOweenies live in denial is something we expect from the fringe. That you might be swept into power is enough to make any sane person vote for John McCain

                    • Right On

Lots of words here Wildchild. Lots of lies. Right here for all to see, if they care to read what’s in front of them.

For all you lurkers who wonder if these Larry-heads are authentic, you can start by analyzing the words of one WildChild, who had the chutzpah to say I “pondered out loud that Hillary might want [Obama] murdered.”

Not hard to check. Just read up-thread.

                    • WildChild

yes, the BOBOweenie who demands evidense responds when it is presented by saying Lots of words here Wildchild. Lots of lies. LMAO It’s OK, we don’t expect little BOBOweeenies to be able to support any of the things they say with proof. But we do expect them when they are backed into a corner to start screaming Liar. I.e., “What you say is what you are.” Nice retort. But it should tell you something. Opposing parties can each believe the other is guilty of the same crimes, but at least the sites you mention generally demand some level of substantiation and rationality. Posters who rely on nothing but smears, name-calling, innuendo, and hatred get no support. Whereas here at No Quarter, such posters lead the pack. Uppity Woman = Big fish in filthy little pond.

          • WildChild

We never tried to pass ourselves off as something different. You BOBOweenies did. Unfortunately for you, by your own admission you’re not. Which pretty much negates the whole purpose of BOBO being in the race to begin with.

            • Right On

So let me get this straight. You spend months trying to get traction with charges that Barack is a weenie — an ineffectual idiot, an empty suit, a dreamy believer in unity, someone who Washington DC would stomp on.

              So that didn’t work. Dang.

Now you all are trying to spread the idea that he fights unfairly, that he somehow, single-handedly managed to corrupt the entire Democratic party, which is now eating out of the palm of his evil, Machiavellian hand. That he’s, indeed, the most dangerous thing for this country since Hitler defeated Roosevelt (facts are incidental around here).

Let me know when you make up your mind. Let me know when you’ve clarified the basis for your irrational, ugly hatred.

              • WildChild

Actually if you read what I write. BOBO’s supporters are the weenies. BOBO is the jello man for the simple reason that BOBO doesn’t seem to be able to take a firm position on anything And And and if you were checking the vote tally at the end of the primary you would see that BOBO only managed to corrupt about half (yes half is not all BOBO boy) the democratic party. The rest of us (as in the other half) weren’t guzzling the BOBOaid and of course we voted for Hillary. I’m not sure why you think Hitler defeated Roosevelt other than it might be a side effect of an overdose of BOBOaid, something which might also push a man into the fringe world of seeing irrationality and hatred in anything or anyone that doesn’t see things just his way.

                • Right On

Okay, within this comment you present precisely one actual argument against Barack. You reject him on the basis that you don’t think he’s capable of taking firm positions. So, I ask: Do you reject John and Hillary for changing positions? And do you actually believe that they have changed positions less (or on less important issues) than Barack?

Of course you don’t believe this. But you latch onto whatever you can to justify your precious hatred.

                  • WildChild

well there’s changing positions and then there’s jelloing. John McCain changed his position on off shore drilling from the one he had when gas was about a buck fifty a gallon to the one he has now that gas is over four bucks a gallon. Then there’s BOBO and his typical jelloing. First BOBO says Iran is not a threat and then about four days later he says that Iran is a grave threat. First BOBO says he will use public financing and then a couple months later he jellos and says he wouldn’t because publc financing is broken. LOL Then BOBO jellos some more when he says what he’s doing now is the true public financing. Jelloman: BOBO the magnificent… LOL change you can believe in.

In fact, if he is elected president, it will be the beginning of the end for America. We all must do whatever we can to make sure that Obama is not elected in November! I am so disgusted with the Democratic Party, that once this election cycle is over, I will register to be an Independent. I will not vote for any democrats in November and I have been a democrat all my life but the party has changed and has abandoned all its core principles and core constituents and I don’t want to be a part of it anymore.

She’s not a devoted puma. She’s gearing up to support Barack. The only thing that makes her worthy of No Quarter is her “knowing” (but baseless) insinuation that something is going to come out. “Anything can happen.” Brilliant.

      • WildChild

so supporting BOBO requires gearing up eh.

        THe BOBO gearing up ritual.

        BOBO tee shirt… check.

        BOBO button… check

Change we can belive in lawn sign…check.

Street cleaner full of the Kool aid to follow you around and keep you gurgling….check

        • Right On

You might try watching the video in question before throwing the smears. But I suppose that’s too much to ask here at No Quarter.

          • WildChild

You were the one that said somebody was gearing up for BOBO. That’s what I responded to BOBO boy. If I left any steps out please feel free to enlighten (Bwah Ha HA) us on the missing steps.

            • Right On

Oh. Ha ha. That was a good laugh, WildChild. But do let me know when you’ve watched the video, and then I’m sure you’ll proceed with an even more devastating deconstruction of my use of the phrase “gearing up.”

              • WildChild

Why do I need to watch a video to laugh at your characterization of political support for a candidate as gearing up. For most of us it was a decision. LOL no garish apparel was required.

                • Right On

No, you’re perfectly correct. I was wrong. Why on earth would you possibly be interested in any actual evidence, facts, or examples of what an adversary is arguing? Such petty things have no place here at No Quarter. They only get in the way of your precious irrational hatred.

                  • The Real Hope

                    Right On,
Last time I checked, we still honour the first amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Keeping that tradition in mind, I’d like to exercise my rights to tell you to go fuck yourself and choke on it buddy.

                  • WildChild

ah yes evidense. not that it bears repating but you seem to have missed it the first time…

You were the one that said somebody was gearing up for BOBO. That’s what I responded to BOBO boy. If I left any steps out please feel free to enlighten (Bwah Ha HA) us on the missing steps.

if you need me to I can present it again.

“We are at such a critical turning point at this time in history” Yeah, she’s right.

A major political party just hosed 18 Million Voters, and is now telling them to “take a time out” and “Get over it”.

that may work on your 5 year old lady, but you are talking to a few million adults here.

We are not voting for Obambi, because he is not qualified, he said so himself, Hillary said it, and every other Dem candidate said it.

We’re voting for McCain, and you should get over it.

Not only will I never vote for Obama, but neither will anyone at my manufacturing plant nor most people at my church.
People I talk with understand that Obama represents Marxist liberation theology and there is no way that you can spend 20 years at a racist church and not have those same views.
This nomination was stolen from the most qualified individual and everything must be done to defeat the Chicago mob with the complicit and corrupt DNC.

Obama represents the worst aspects of American culture and can never be allowed to run this country.
Obama and his minions are blame America First, defeat and retreat, anti-Americans who will surrender America’s position in the world.
They will raise taxes at a time of recession and will cause an economic collapse which will further their Marxist ambitions.

And the tool Shapiro needs to understand this fact. I will work tirelessly to defeat an illegitimate candidate that was selected by a corrupt and undemocratic party.
This ex democrat will be voting Straight Republican ticket
    Shame on you Demrats!!!

  • http://Reddragon62.blogspot.com/ RedDragon62

She didn’t actually say that something was going to “Come out”. But it did strike me as curious as to her demeanor when asked about it. What say you?

    • http://www.stillstacy.com Stacy The Republican

The Clintons are political pros. If they don’t “have something” I’ll be shocked and disappointed. Her allegiance to the party is disappointing. You all are at the point I was after the mid-term ’06 elections. I felt my party didn’t do it’s job. And now when they come looking for a handout I reply that I only donate to candidates and causes I believe in.

March to the drumbeat my ass.

  • Sgt. FURY

I am an independent, so I am not sure that I am welcome here. However, I share MANY of the same concerns about Senator Obama that you’re stating. Sadly, so many legitimate concerns expressed about this little man are now considered racist.

I just am amazed that when he won primaries it was IN SPITE of white racism and when he lost it was BECAUSE of white racism.

I am already so defeated by the simple minded railing on about whitey! They believe they can see into my heart and KNOW that I am racist because I am white.

The hypocracy is astounding. What percentage of racist is Rev. Wright? Where does the typical white person compare to him?

    • http://www.stillstacy.com Stacy The Republican

      They let me in

This place has become one of my favorite sites.

I am already so defeated by the simple minded railing on about whitey! They believe they can see into my heart and KNOW that I am racist because I am white.

That hit me after Katrina and Kanya West’s “George Bush hates black people” thing. I know no one here is a W fan; but no other president in our history has appointed more AA than him. The statement made by West played out through the black community multiple times and I believe has now left us, I fear, worse off than before. And now BO is playing the same game. Shameful.

      • josgirl

The response to the victims of the levy breech in New Orleans was shameful.
It is it’s own distinct shame and not related to Obama.
Bush has to own that one by himself.

        • http://www.stillstacy.com Stacy The Republican

I have a ton of family on the Mississippi coast; they were/are ignored.

FTR, I did not mention BO had anything to do with that. It was the idea that race had anything to do with it. There were failings on many different levels.

          • http://nobho.blogspot.com/ Johnny at Work

I am a consultant for Federal Disaster Response. I will not say the agency. I can tell you first hand that there were failures at every level of Gov’t during and following Katrina.

And that Failure started with the local agencies, city and State. No one had a clue as to what should be done, much less how to accomplish it.

The Stafford Act that regulates disaster response requires that the plans be reviewed annually by State and Fed. That review for natural disasters was not happening.

After 9/11 emergency response became geared toward terrorism, and natural disasters were an afterthought.

There is plenty of blame to go around everywhere… the locals did not have a plan, and did not know what to ask for, and assumed the Feds would just “send everything they’ve got”. It doesn’t work that way.

And from what I’ve seen, Obambi does not have the leadership needed to get the organizations united.

    • Lucinda

I’m an Independent, and they haven’t thrown me away yet. Don’t worry, this site only bans people for making racial/gender/homophobic etc. slurs or making threats against people. If you can look past the crazy trolls, you’ll enjoy it.

This is my favorite line from the salon article.

Yes, they’re going to vote for Obama. Of course they’ll vote for him. The truth is, they’ll probably love voting for him.

Any of you feel that way? If anything, I’m going to LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, to vote against him and pull the lever for McCain.

    • beebop

It is a shame he didn’t go into dentistry.

  • sleepy

I don’t think the small hothouses that are the internet blogs particularly predict what the voting public will do.

I suspect Obama will get the vast majority of former Hillary voters. Not because, as the article states, that Hillary supporters have nowhere else to go, but because in fact they agree with Obama on the vast majority of issues.

    • Right On

And because the majority of Hillary supporters won’t choose to waste their lives wallowing in irrational hatred, yearning for some fictional tape or birth certificate to come out, praying for something awful to happen to Barack, and finding community in this den of liars and smear merchants.

      • WildChild

It appears that BOBO is happening to himself. Who’d a thunk it?

      • StrawberrybitesBarky

Keep thinking that. When we go into that voting booth, do you really think a white woman who has been kicked around by a racist prick of a man will vote for him when there’s a choice of another guy who showed her respect and kindness? Are you fucking for real? It’s going to be just three people in that booth, no howling Obamabots to try and strong arm her, and you really, truly believe a sane woman will vote for the abusive boyfriend rather than the grumpy but fair dad who welcomed her back with open arms? Wow, when did you stop beating the shit out of your girlfriend?

        • Right On

Seeing as we live in a representative democracy, you are free to vote your biases. It’s just nice to know most voters (and, yes, most Hillary supporters) are more fair-minded and rational than the hate-mongers here at No Quarter. And no, I’m not worried about your vote. If your mind functions like most posters here, your decision is just like any other mindless throw-away vote. It’s incidental.

          • WildChild

Ha Ha Ha Ha but for the decade we’d think you a republican.

than the hate-mongers here at No Quarter.

Bwah Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha. You really shouldn’t refer to yourself in such terms.

          • Lucinda

Seeing as we live in a representative democracy, you are free to vote your biases.

Thank you, Taylor, but I didn’t need your permission. I’m an Independent, and I usually vote a mixed party ticket.

          • StrawberrybitesBarky

It’s not jut my vote, it’s all the woman I talk to in my line of work. Hundreds of women. Everyday. They all don’t trust Barky. I’m doing my best to inform them, I set a goal of three undecideds a day. A personal trainer is to a woman, what a bartender is to a man. We talk the straight shit. Barky is dead in the water.

            • http://nobho.blogspot.com/ Johnny at Work

And contrary to the Hip Hop culture, the white women I have known do not enjoy being bitch slapped and called ho’s…. I am certain none of them will be giving Obambi a nod of approval anytime soon.

          • beebop

You’ll be wondering why you can’t have these “throw away votes” when he’s finishing with 7 states won on November 4th I would suspect. You and oblowme should be very careful about insulting votes that aren’t for sale.

      • beebop

No. Most Hillary supporters will remember how wonderful her positions were as he throws taking public finance matching funds, FISA, and NAFTA on the pier that is being burned to sacrifice to his enormous ego. But, that’s just one woman’s opinion.

  • http://divinedem.blogspot.com Mary Ellen

Taylor Marsh is back to throwing out insults at her past bloggers. In today’s post she writes about Hillay campaigning for Obama and says, “She packs a lot of power with her supporters, especially those who haven’t been suckered by McCain propaganda, or taken over by irrational anti Obama zealotry.”

This is in addition to calling those who supported Hillary as “dead-enders”.

Too bad she can’t look in the mirror and see she is nothing more than an Obama cultist, and a opportunist…not to mention, hypocrite.

I really despise that self-important witch.

    • WildChild

You have to give Taylor a little credit. She has been saying all along that she’s was a Hillary supporter but would support the dem nominee. Where she is wrong is in breaking her pledge not to campaign for his jelloishness. She has repeated that she wouldn’t because it was the responsibility of the BOBOcampaign to do that. Of course now in attacking all those who didn’t bow to the BOBO, she is campaigning for him as all the BOBOcampaign seems to be able to do is attack all those who stand against Jelloman, BOBO the magnificent.

      • Right On

The only difference between Taylor and you Larry-heads is that, ultimately, she simply could not allow herself to completely abandon rationality in favor of hate-mongering. Despite her failings she’s proven her desire to be a serious, constructive individual. You guys have only exhibited a desire to entertain each other with sick hate-filled fetishes.

        • Lucinda

Hi, Taylor. How are you this evening?

          • Right On

Typical. You base this charge on the same kind of paranoid, mindless speculation that you Larry-heads base all your accusations –especially your smears against Barack, his wife, and his supporters. You want it to be true, so you just decide it is. Case closed. Pathetic.

            • Lucinda

LOL!! Touched a nerve, did I?

              • WildChild

LOL he’s been a twitter all night.

Right On is a she. I can tell by the way she writes. Women have distinctive writing voices.

                  • Right On

Very astute, Lucinda (if that is indeed your real name).

But maybe I’m queer! You should keep digging for clues, at least when you’re not examining birth certificates and non-existent audio tapes.

Just don’t give up! Keep up this important work. Use your superior intellect in the service of this country!

                    • WildChild

    • beebop

Maybe she’s taking lessons from oblowme. Her former posters have left and the oblowmes have no use for her, so I would imagine she’s probably a little deserted over there ….

  • http://divinedem.blogspot.com Mary Ellen

Right On- I think you are in the wrong place…I think you took a wrong turn and came to one of the blogs that actually tell the truth about Obama. You need to get back to the walking dead Obamabot blogs, like Taylor Marsh’s.

    • Right On

Don’t worry, I can’t stand this place. Gives me the creeps. I only tune in occasionally — as penance for my sins.

      • Lucinda

Wouldn’t you get absolution quicker by volunteering in a homeless shelter or working with abused children?

        • Right On

I keep active, yes. And occasionally it’s important to provide a counterbalance for lurkers here who might start to believe the hate-filled bullshit you Larry-heads peddle in this commode of a website.

          • Lucinda

Well, I think that most lurkers (like most Americans) are smart enough to decide for themselves what they want to believe. We don’t need pundits or radio personalities, who believe they’re God’s gift to humanity to tell us how to think.

            • Right On

Who knows. If someone doesn’t get out much, they may start to believe a nutty chorus of voices who keep yelling the sky is green. Characterize it as my thinking I’m “God’s gift to humanity” if you like. But I’m just not going to stand by and watch you hate-mongers spread your disgusting lies and smears. Not today anyway.

              • WildChild

so why do you think you’re God’s gift to humanity? LOL in a thousand words or less please.

                • Right On

Well, you’ve certainly found a fitting community, WildChild — a place where you can twist your adversaries words and thoughts with full abandon! Does it give you a little thrill? Do you take viagra to go all night long here in your little orgy of hatred?

                  • WildChild

I didn’t twist anything. When people accuse me of something that I’m not I, like most normal people, simply say I’m not the thing they are accusing me of being. LOL You on the other hand when you are accused of something, you highlight the thing you are accused of in parenthesis and let it ride. I’d say that’s about as close to an admission as we’re ever going to get from a BOBOweenie.

                    • Right On

Okay. I apologize. I guess you weren’t twisting my words at all. Guess you’re just an idiot. Not your fault. Just keep LOL-ing — that seems to make you very happy. (But if you prefer not to be characterized as either an idiot or a word-twister, I suggest you show where I said I thought I was “God’s gift to humanity.”)

                    • WildChild

See, another non denial denial. LMAO if you seriously don’t want us to take you at your word that you’re God’s gift to humanity, you should really just fess up that you’re not. Not that we are going to believe you now but hey it’s worth a shot right? LOL Then we can all get back to making fun of you for other reasons.

          • http://nobho.blogspot.com/ Johnny at Work

The only one sounding hateful is you. Keep those grade school insults coming. It let’s us all know the maturity level of the Obots.

            • Right On

Chuckle. All any lurker needs to do is read a single post or thread at this site to see a grotesquely high ratio of name-calling/lies/smears to rational argumentation. At least you’ve got some nerve, JAW.

      • Total disgust

Spoken like a true follower. Hey you gotta stand for something. Its o.k. even if you can’t have a mind of your own at least you stand for something. Right? Aren’t all the kool-ade drinkers adopting the kool kids name because you think its kool? Not to worry, lucky for all the lost. There is enough of us to pick up the pieces when they crumble. It will happen sooner than November. GOD BLESS AMERICA….

We all know how much Newsweek is in the tank for Obama.
They cooked the polls the other day showing Obama up 15 points when all other polls showed a tie or very close.

So what are they saying now?
Alan Ehrenhalt suggests that Obama has more experience than McCain because he was a state senator
    Say What!!!

maybe NQ can post a commentary on this BS

CNN just reported that the “presidential seal” logo has been taken off of Obama’s website. Wonder what happened there.

    • StrawberrybitesBarky

Another shining example of Barky’s superior judgement…Bwahahahahahahaahahah!

    • The Real Hope

Legions of dead Roman warriors haunted Obambi’s nightmare last night. They demanded he quit using Latin on his new logo considering his hatred of their descendants better known as modern day Italians or garlic-stuffed noses. They also threatened him with their famous tomato-garlic armpit saluto. He took a whiff and called Axelrod this morning commanding him to scrubb the seal.

    • WildChild

I think some posters are being a bit unfair to HRC. She is a realist who can take a long term view. Let’s suppose she plays it as they want and shuns Obama. Then, when she is the nominee in 2012 the mantra of the erstwhile Obamites will be as follows:
‘She stabbed Barack in the back in’08 so we’re not voting for her. Waaaaaaaah!’.

    • Right On

So let me get this straight. You’re a fan of politicians who sometimes make politically expedient decisions?

      • WildChild

You can’t call it expediency. Hillary has said all along she would support the dem nominee.

        • Chicago Joe

She has to say that. Meanwhile, on parallel tracks, hopefully there are some issues that will derail his campaign. So it behooves her to be dignified, and wear her DEM game face.

  • http://cannonfire.blogspot.com Joseph Cannon

Well, I just composed a double-barreled response to Rebecca Traister’s piece. Unfortunately, Blogger is non-functional at the moment.

      It’s rather remarkable isn’t it?

      • http://nobho.blogspot.com/ Johnny at Work

The funny thing is that I still get email from the Clinton campaign. It asks me to contribute to Hillary’s Presidential Campaign.

I was sent a Hillary video, and although she says she will be campaigning with Obama, she does not ask me to vote for him.

  • photolady13

LOL….oh I can’t stop lol!! Can you imagine this fool having the audacity of making his campaign, spend money on a SEAL for him? Where is this mans’ mind?
This is craziness!! this man is an egomaniac!!Oh people, the more I hear about this man, the more I wonder, how did he get here? Whose bright idea was this to bring him to the forefront of the DP.?

  • Total disgust

Maybe someone out there can help me.
    1. I wear my Hillary button on my riding vest.
    2. Everytime I wear my vest I get the cold shoulder treatment from black americans.
    3. Am I the racist because I choose to wear my vest and support Hillary? I know she has suspended her campaign, I won’t take it off.
    4. Are the people that treat me this way racist?
Tonight we got on the bike and went to a restaurant. We have always been treated with respect there. Our waitress who was black american seemed very offended at the button. I wasn’t sure. I just wanted to say you know you don’t have to be afraid of me or think I don’t like you just because my choice may be different than yours. I didn’t. This is not the first time this has happened. I also proudly have stickers on the back of my vehicle and have received similiar responses to that.
I am getting mad as hell at the ignorance and the arrogance of people. When I woke up this morning this was still America. I think many have forgotten what that really means or they never knew to begin with. That we are free to say and think and vote anyway we so choose. God help us if this maniac gets in.

We can blog back and forth forever and I guess its good so we don’t go crawling back home as they say will happen. That will never happen as many have said we are still pissed about the Bush election’s. Once again a true display of there sexism, the majority of us being women. What about the men are they going to go crawling back as well. No I don’t think so. Thats a true display of there underestimating the secure and confident men of democratic party. Boy those dumb a–es have sure lost a whole lot……… What were they thinking?

I guess I am ranting I am just so aggravated lately. I can’t even stand to turn the news on for disgust of hearing his voice.

    sign out. GOD BLESS AMERICA…………

  • Marc

From everything I have read, no President has had as thin a resume as Senator Obama. It still befuddles me why the party leaders chose such an unqualified candidate. Is it all about the rhetoric of hope and change, whatever that is. Is it because he is black. Even Elizabeth Edwards stated, “We can’t make John black” refering to her husband, in spite of being more experienced didn’t have a chance against a black man because it appeared people were voting for him just because he was black. How can it be that someone who has had long-term relationships with a felon, racist religious leaders and Pentagon bombers is given a pass by the main stream news media, while the person running against him is portrayed so negatively. Where can we get the true answers to these questions? Certaintly, not the main stream news media. They were cheerleaders for the war in Iraq and now they are cheerleaders for Barack Obama. Why???

“Wouldn’t the politically expedient thing have been to vote along with everyone else?”

Wouldn’t the politically expedient thing have been to tell the Muslim family he can’t be photographed with Muslims?

Wouldn’t the politically expedient thing have been to duck the Kyl-Lieberman vote so he could play it both ways with MoveOn and AIPAC?

Wouldn’t the politically expedient thing be to take MoveOn’s money and then throw them under the bus on FISA?

  • DancingOpossum

derridog, NARAL also endorsed Joe Lieberman, who is disastrous on choice, over the staunchly pro-choice Ned Lamont. I remember the netroots were in an uproar over this. Nancy Keenan, the current head of NARAL, has made other wacky decisions in the past. She claims that her Catholicism doesn’t affect her views but I think it clearly does. Why she is the head of NARAL I will never know.

The decision to endorse BO this time also infuriated NARAL’s local and state chapters, who strongly disavowed the endorsement.

In short, a NARAL endorsement isn’t worth spit as a pro-choice bona fide.

There is also BO’s insulting and outrageous statement that a woman should make her decision about abortion in consultation with her “family” (blecch!) and her CLERGY!! (BIG FAT DOUBLE BLECCH!)

FWIW I automatically discount anyone who claims to be pro-choice but still wants to deliver moral lectures about abortion. F— off already. Hillary used to piss me off when she did it too, but in recent years she backed away from that, and good for her.

    AND ANOTHER THING!

Mary Curtis, guest columnist in WaPo, says she’s getting “peeved” at women voters who won’t support Barack Obama. Curtis is black. She’s peeved because “feminists” who supported Clinton are now responding to Barack Obama with a deafening “silence.”

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/06/20/AR2008062002209.html?hpid=opinionsbox1

Everyone’s getting a little “peeved” in this country these days, aren’t we? Now, who could have created all of this peevishness among voters?!

Yep. You got it: THE UNITY CANDIDATE. THE POST-PARTISAN CANDIDATE. THE POST-RACIAL CANDIDATE. BARACK OBAMA.

He’s divided voters, divided the Democratic Party, along religious lines, along gender lines, along racial lines–divided everyone. What a guy.

Still not voting for Obama, Mary. He’s not qualified, by either character or experience to lead this country.

It really hurts to see Sen. Clinton supporting this nominee he is so unfit to be President.

  • Linda

The Precious is without integrity or even the most basic of principals.

If this pandering, corrupt politician manages to “fool” the people into electing him, I truly fear that any real advances on progressive issues and reform are going to get thrown under the bus in Mr Obama’s pursuit of the next election cycle.

WHY, after example after example that this man is devoid of integrity or a backbone on any issue do people still follow him?

Hope is that Democratic leadership will wake up before the convention but it appears to be unlikely because the people connecting the very apparent dots about this candidate are not being heard on a broad scale. No instead, we have the MSM telling people WHY we are resisting and STILL telling them wrong.

It’s not about supporting Hillary anymore, it’s about opposing a man without moral fiber who presents a clear and present danger to our country.

Very good article and well organized and has just the right tone. Yes, he is unqualified for the highest office in the land.

I would also mention that the Democratic party used a very undemocratic process to elect him, and that he is a product of insider endorsements, superdelegate picks, un-democratic caucuses, and a rules committee that gave delegates to him and took them away from Hilary. If you believe in the democratic process, then you won’t be able to vote for the current Democratic nominee on principle.

BILL CLINTON SAYS KISS MY ASS –
Dear Bloggers how would you act if someone called you a racist? Get a clue man. Clinton saved this country in the 1990′s. Our country is in the pits and you want to belittle this guy? He still is the BEST president we ever had. Stop drinking the OBAMA cool-aid. The Obama campaign called this great and former president a racist. That is unbelievable!!!

Hillary supporter, woman voting NO to Obama cult club.

GO PUMA Supporters (party unity my ass)!!!

Please, someone call me stupid, but then just tell me what PUMA stands for. What is PUMA! It’s good to see Hillary people against Obama. McCain might actually have a chance in States where Democrats are a large majority.

People are hypnotized with Obamamania and his Obammunism. Good fodder for Obama posters here. Posters about him reflect this puppy dogs, doves and rainbows feeling. The Obama Utopia.

If Obama can stay pretty clean, do some good things as Senator, and then become Governor of IL, he could be unstoppable in 2012 or 2016. Scary stuff.

I would dearly love to see a Jewish, African-American woman as POTUS. It’s not race or gender that makes it for me though. It’s political beliefs that matter, and socialism is bad for everybody, (accept those high in government or high-level academia) especially poor people, of all races. Obama is a dyed-in-the-wool Marxist, no thanks.

His ‘Change’, ‘Hope’ and ‘Progress’ mantras are actually somewhat self-mocking. Making your own Obama posters is totally addicting.
I laughed so hard I almost had a breakdown. LOL!
