Bits and Pieces – 6/24

1) At Rezkowatch, an interesting article about Obama’s personnel choices is available. If the notion that “personnel is policy” is correct, one need only look a the influential people surrounding a candidate or whom the candidate is pushing as key advisors. Those people give clues to the candidate’s ultimate position in a variety of areas.

Rezkowatch has this to say:

Since it is evident that for Obama personnel is policy, we are doomed:

David Cutler, Obama health adviser, believes that rising health care prices are good for the economy.

Jeffrey Liebman, one of Obama’s economic advisers, wants to privatize social security.

Jason Furman, another Obama economic adviser, is a former director of the Hamilton Project, “an organization formed by Citygroup chair Robert Rubin and other Wall Street Democrats to fight back against growing populist outrage within the party”.

Zbigniew Brzezinski—do we need to say anything about this foreign policy adviser? Just Google his name.

Is Obama running to the middle or just running to the right? Who can tell? Shouldn’t we know details by now?

2) In Tuesday’s Boston Herald was a humorous piece about the coming Age of Obama.

I’m not one of the people complaining that having your own presidential seal at this point is a bit arrogant. It’s that traitor to the new regime, Mickey Kaus over at Slate.com:

“If you wanted to emphasize to voters that the Democrats’ nominee is a bit stuck up, it would be hard to do better. I suppose he could start requiring reporters to stand when he enters the room.”

3) In a mash note to Obama, Eugene Robinson at WaPo, does an interesting job of framing the “race issue.” He remarks about Obama’s statements in FL, where he pre-emptively accused his opponents of practicing racism. But in Robinson’s world, Obama is merely clearing the air about race and making everyone acknowledge it.

The Republican Party has a problematic history on race, beginning with Nixon’s “Southern strategy.” The era when the likes of the late Lee Atwater could overtly use race as a wedge issue are long gone. Today, any appeal to latent racial prejudice would have to be made more subtly — the suggestion that there’s something of the “other” about Obama, that he might not share traditional American values, that there’s some question about his love of country. . .

Since Obama has given his opponents little ammunition, they have focused on those who are close to him, beginning with his former pastor. Now some critics have turned to Obama’s “feisty” wife, whose image as a tall, strong, confident black woman can perhaps be made to seem threatening to some people.

If there are voters who absolutely won’t support Obama because of his race, there’s not much he can do about it. But at least he can blow away all the smoke. He has served notice that he doesn’t intend to be Swift-boated on race the way John Kerry was on his war record — and that he will hit back even when attacks are more atmospheric than concrete.

Where some might call this race-baiting, Robinson apparently thinks it as taking a noble stance and “blow[ing] away all the smoke.” Maybe Obama’s really just blowing smoke to cover his deficiencies in, you know, experience, issues and keeping promises.

Oh, and if you don’t vote for Obama, don’t forget to pick up your pointy white hat as you leave the voting booth.

5) Over at CNN, Leslie Sanchez takes a look at the GE. Her article focuses attention on what are likely tactics of the Obama campaign going forward to the fall.

The post-Watergate campaign rules, one national consultant reminded me, tried to keep both candidates in the general election to the same general level of spending. These rules, written largely by Democrats, were supposed to keep the playing field level by keeping the competition about ideas and issues, not who had the most money.

Is Obama trying to buy the election? He threatens to outspend McCain by six — perhaps eight — to one. Now, rather than engage in a “Great Debate” about America’s future, Obama is trying to win through tactics.

Sanchez then outlines possible uses for all that money and its intended targets:
AA, Hispanic communities, “traditional Democrats”, evangelicals. She also notes that the last time a candidate had a war chest like this was in 1972. The candidate: Richard Nixon.

Oh, goody.

6) Also at CNN, Rebecca Walker has a new spin on the disappointed female Hillary supporters. And where other statements merely offend from the point of calling Hillary supporters bitter, old, racist, low-information, etc., this person implies that women don’t need to “get over it.” They need to “get over themselves.”

But with a Democratic house divided, now is the time for healing, and this can only happen if Hillary’s staunch female supporters let go of the reverse-sexist ideology that women are inherently better, wiser, and more compassionate leaders.

They will have to acknowledge that sometimes the best woman for the job is actually a man — if it’s the right man. Obama’s vote against the war, marriage to his female mentor, outstanding record on reproductive choice and a host of other progressive issues, and his uncanny ability to inspire people all over the world suggest he’s just that.

It is time to turn the page on myopic gender-based Feminism and concede that while patriarchy is real, so is female greed, dishonesty and corruptibility. It’s time to empower the feminisms embodied by millions of women and men who care about everyone, including, but not limited to, women.

Well, hmmmm. Let’s see. Hillary supporters are bitter, racist, old and dead-enders. Now we are also (well, the women anyway) anti-men who think only women can bring character and caring to a job.

But I truly object to her assertion that feminists do not think women are corruptible. Give me a break. Anyone who has passed through middle school knows better.
Instead, Walker advocates we “empower the feminisms embodied by millions of women and men who care about everyone, including, but not limited to, women.” That means we don’t really need a woman at all in a position of power – we just need a feminine affect. Women need to get over ourselves.

As we saw earlier this campaign, people do not appreciate even the PERCEPTION that someone is SUGGESTING that a stand-in (LBJ) for another, different person, (MLK) can achieve the same things. To suggest that BO can do exactly what Hillary would have been able to do and we should be happy a woman got “so far” is simply offensive.

Is that just FREAKIN’ RIDICULOUS??? How the hell do these people get away with spreading all these damn LIES? Freakin’ idiot doesn’t even know her Messiah wasn’t in the Senate at the time the vote went down? BO supporters are some of the most IGNORANT freakin’ people I know! “If you care about the issues I care about and the future that I outlined in my campaign, then you really have to stay with us in the Democratic Party and vote Sen. Obama to be our next president.”

    • Kevin

What’s that? The 100th time that quote is posted by you at least. Get this, most of us have moved on and are motivated by something larger and more sifnificant than the ideals of a corrupt and morally bankrupted party. The motivation is to elect a QUALIFIED president.

Does Jason have words of his own? Or is that the only talking point the borg collective lets you have?

Great post, Lisa. Thank you for this.
Rebecca Walker is one of those young women who feel that feminism is unnecessary. Time is NOT on their side. All we have to do is wait and they will most likely learn to love feminism.

Not true for Pelosi, of course, but the fact that she’s the heir to political power may have much to do with that.

          As to Walker’s dumbass statement:
          I

t is time to turn the page on myopic gender-based Feminism and concede that while patriarchy is real, so is female greed, dishonesty and corruptibility.

Donna Brazile, Nancy Pelosi, Andrea Mitchell, Maureen Dowd, these are just a few names that indicate how well we know about female greed, dishonesty and corruptibility.

So if Hillary can have greater testicular fortitude than Obama, and Obama can have bigger boobs than his wife…

Can McCain be blacker than Obama, and none of us are racist if we vote for the Republican?

    • sickofObamadiots

Jason, know anything about party politics?

She has to say that or she won’t be able to work with other Dems if she goes back to the senate. Somethin about not burning bridges.

Doesn’t mean that Hillary supporters and/or antiObama DEms are going to act like lemmings and just vote Obama because they’ve been told to.

From what I’ve seen on the internet, the majority of them WILL NOT even if Hillary was to be made VP.

Besides Obama can’t win — he was born in either Kenya or Canada and has been hiding this throughout his campaign; his birth certificate relaeased on his site is a FAKE!

Why isn’t anyone speaking about them, and the role they play in determining policy?

The war will BREAK this country, is the issue too arcane?

I’m not even looking at advisers, per se, I’m looking at campaign contributors, the same people for both candidates, the same people who backed Cheney, and Bush, say.

The “smack-down” pre-emption is also seen in Alice Palmer and Bobby Seal, eliminating opposition before anything is contested.

The thing I have never understood, is why Alan Keyes was the guy the RNC pick to run for the Senate seat… it doesn’t make sense.

        • bart

Well, when the republican candidates were forced out, I don’t think they really had anyone. So, I think they reached for a nationally known republican who was black, in the hopes it would work. I think they realized it was a long shot though.

          • Zeke

            Good thought, Bart.
Running anyone was better than nothing. The problem with Keyes was that he was too smart, too eloquent and “Not from around here.”
Perhaps the Rev. Wright may have opinionated about it also. Just imagine all the Oreo jokes he would have ejaculated. Yeah, Alan Keyes was way too white for Wright.

In my opinion the Democratic party does not speak or care about we the women voters. Women voters have rights and freedom of speech. When I cast my vote for McCain in November it will not be due to Premenstrual syndrome (PMS). My vote for McCain will reflect the love that I have for my country, my children, my family and friends to keep us all safe and prosperous.

McCain brings more to me than Hope, Change and just yes we can words. John McCain brings “Action” and action speaks louder than “just words.”

    • stateofdisbelief

Not to mention that we’ve been shown the door by the DNC ala Brazile… who boasts of the new democratic coaltion, one that is “younger and more urban.”

Good luck getting contraceptives after the McCain Supreme Court overturns Giswold v. Connecticut.

      • fran

Why the fear tactic oh-follower of Mr. Hopey Changey? Can’t actually argue for any of his good ideas? The Big Bad Supreme Court angle won’t work–Alito & Roberts already created a majority, so it won’t make any difference.

Besides, we are not one issue voters. Nice try with the Axelrod Talking Point though.

      • It’s Not Me

Why should I care if you’re able to get contraceptives? I don’t give a crap. I also don’t care if Roe v. Wade is overturned (which in will never be) and I don’t care if RW judges are appointed. Maybe you should have thought about all those things when you chose not to support the woman who has spent her entire life fighting for those rights? You people are a bunch of fools. If 20-something Obamarrhoids don’t care about those issue, why should I? I’m so over those wedge issue

I hope you enjoy your President McCain, because that’s what we’re going to give you.

        • Sen. Larry Craig

Tell that to your dead children.

Hey dodo brain…haven’t you heard? We’re all OLD (it’s one of the epithets you kool-aid drinkers throw around quite often) – therefore, post-menopausal. Sen. Larry,
If contraception is an issue for you, just remain upright when in HIS presence. Don’t bend over near BO and unless you’ve gotten him to promise you something, you should be alright.

Just remember, no bending over and don’t make him promise you anything.

  • http://OUTRAGEDBUTNOTSURPRISED bama_barrron

i have always maintained that obama is much further to the right of the democratic party then his navie supporters believe … his waffling statements regarding labor, health care and social security early on in the primary season opened my eyes. he only moved to the left, and not happily, becuase of the presence of john edwards and his populist message. obama’s apparent flip flop on FISA is just one of many positions he will be changing … who knows where it will end if he actually gets elected.

    • Hope Floats

      Obama is just a fascist.

    • sickofObamadiots

I totally agree! He had to pander to get the Independents and has pandering to get to the LEFT antiwar vote. I believe that we are seeing the true colors of Obama. This is why questioning his stance on policies is so crucial and why he is using the “racist” accusation whenever we try to get some real answers.

Remember in the political circle — the farther LEFT you go the more RIGHT you become

Obama wants to be considered everything by the voters (the blank slate phenomena), the ultimate political ploy because someone will always stick up for him and by him

The Obama glow is fading, waning and now the Democrats are stuck with a loser. WTF was the DNC thinking?? My opinion is the DNC’s 2 main concerns-get as many black/minority voters as possible, by hook or by crook (which they did) and prop up the last ‘man’ standing (which they did). But why did they not thoroughly vet Obama? That’s the question I have and wonder about.

“Is Obama trying to buy the election? He threatens to outspend McCain by six — perhaps eight — to one. Now, rather than engage in a “Great Debate” about America’s future, Obama is trying to win through tactics.”

So what else is new? That’s how he (almost) won the primary. Even outspending Hillary 2-5:1 and using dishonest “under the radar” tactics (robocalls, flyers, mailings) she stomped him in the swing states. He can’t debate on issues and ideas because when he tries, it’s obvious he is deficient. Remember how his numbers ALWAYS went down after a debate with Hillary. So he stopped attending them. Now, he’s refusing Town Hall meetings with McCain for the same reason. He’d rather market his phony brand, because the gullible American public will buy anything that is bright and shiny if it’s packaged right–and the media has been all too happy to help with endless promotion.

And Rebecca Walker can stick it. I’m tired of all these “enlightened women” trying to preach to the rest of us about what we “should” do. Where were they when Hillary was being burned at the stake? And how does Obama’s record of fighting for women’s rights stand up next to Hillary’s? Please. And then, of course, they choose to ignore his repeated sexist behavior and attitude. Did she miss the rap reference, brushing Hillary off his shoulder to the tune of “Stab the ladies?” Yea, he’s a really beacon for feminism. These Kook Aid drinkers contort themselves into the most ridiculous positions to argue for their “leader.” Sell it somewhere else–we’re not buyin.

    I read:
Obama’s vote against the war, marriage to his female mentor, outstanding record on reproductive choice and a host of other progressive issues, and his uncanny ability to inspire people all over the world suggest he’s just that.

All lies, except I didn’t know MO was Obama’s mentor. She is connected to the Chicago Combine through her father. She would have recognized Obama’s uses, especially if she knew Bill Ayres was grooming him.

Signs of Barky’s progressive New Politics:
    Sam Nunn as possible VP
Richard Danzig as probable National Security Advisor ( Sam Nunn Fellow at The Center for Stategic and International Studies – Winnie the Pooh is his philosophical mentor )
By the way, Zbigniew Brzezinski and Thomas Pritzer ( Penny’s cousin ) are also on the Board at CSIS.

    • Karen

Hasn’t Sam Nunn been run out as a possible VP
in almost every Democratic race since Carter?
or Lincoln….just kidding on that. He is the same age as McCain.

  • http://hyper-educated-uppity-woman.blogspot.com Uppity Woman

I REALLY believe he’s into privatization of social security. One look at his top ten contributors (bundled money, folks, an old trick!) tells me he’s in Wall Street’s pocket, including subprime lenders. He gave his “big” economic speech right there on wall street if you recall.

..and everybody knows how dangerous that nutcase Zbig is. Jihad lover besides.

  • Karen

When you read the Rebecca Walker comment above she says that Obama voted against the war? I am really
amazed that this educated and so much smarter than all of us? person doesn’t even know the facts on this. Her comments about his outstanding record on reproductive choice…..does she mean all those present votes on the yellow present button in IL?
His inspiration around the world….seems to me it was a draw here in the US with Clinton and my guess it you can extrapolate that out to the world. Look at all the female leaders of countries in the world…think they were cheering for Obama? Think Rebecca needs to worry less about feminism and more about making sure her facts are correct before she puts forth a hypothesis.

  • Kevin

As someone concerned with the environment, and our dependence on foreign oil, I would like start a discussion on the merits of Senator McCain’s energy and environmental policies, versus those of Senator Obama.

$300 million incentive for new battery technology development. A good idea, which may result in a breakthrough in other areas.

He is discussing climate change in a substantive way. He is discussing the need to reduce greenhouse gasses.

He is proposing a $5,000 incentive to produce more clean cars. Which will not only defray the cost but help the ailing US auto industry, create and/or keep more high paying auto industry jobs.

The need to increase US oil production is real. The need to decrease our dependence on foreign oil is real. The moratorium on offshore drilling is a handicap on US energy independance. It is a necessary evil. We are subject to the whims of Saudi Arabia and other oil exporters, not just an energy policy issue but one of national security. He is still opposed to drilling in ANWR.

He has proposed an incentive program for alternate energy development, wind, solar in order to encourage this area of the energy economy

The proposal to suspend federal gas taxes is a good one to those of us who drive as part of their occupation. While not a windfall for anyone, a little easing of the strain on the wallet is not a bad thing.

Senator Obama calls these “gimmicks”. He voted for the Dick Cheney energy plan. McCain voted against it.

    • Annie Oakley

McCain said that increasing US oil production would send a “psychological message.” Opossum ridiculed McCain for this statement, but I thought McCain was referring to a message to the speculators in the oil market – similar to the way we defend the dollar. Aide Helped Controversial Russian Meet McCain
Davis, Then a Lobbyist, Has Spurred Debate in Reform-Focused Campaign

A top political adviser in Sen. John McCain’s presidential campaign helped arrange an introduction in 2006 between McCain and a Russian billionaire whose suspected links to anti-democratic and organized-crime figures are so controversial that the U.S. government revoked his visa.

    All Eyes on Front
Rick Davis, who is now McCain’s campaign manager, helped set up the encounter between McCain and Russian aluminum magnate Oleg Deripaska in Switzerland during an international economic conference. At the time, Davis was working for a lobbying firm and seeking to do business with the billionaire.

There is no evidence that McCain did anything for Deripaska after they met at a social gathering over drinks and dinner. Deripaska was grateful for the introduction, writing a thank-you note to Davis and his partner and offering to assist them in a subsequent business deal, according to a copy of the note obtained by The Washington Post.

With a net worth of more than $13 billion, Deripaska is one of the richest men in Russia and a close ally of President Vladimir Putin. McCain has been one of Putin’s sharpest U.S. critics, calling for Russia to be kicked out of the Group of Eight industrialized nations because of Putin’s anti-democratic activities. The Arizona Republican has also repeatedly complained about the negative impact of Kremlin-linked oligarchs such as Deripaska.

When Deripaska met McCain, Davis was part of Davis Manafort, a lobbying firm that was being paid to provide political advice to pro-Russian and oligarch-funded candidates in Ukraine, according to interviews and news accounts. At the same time, McCain was publicly supporting those candidates’ Western-oriented democratic rivals.

The socializing with Deripaska provides a case study in the challenges faced by McCain, a longtime foe of Washington lobbyists who has a well-known lobbyist as his top political aide. Davis, who has been a political adviser to McCain on and off since 1999, was part of a lobbying firm that worked not only for Ukrainian politicians but also for telecommunications firms, a lottery services provider and freight companies.

Mark Salter, a spokesman for McCain, said that meetings with Deripaska took place during official trips abroad by senators and that McCain did nothing improper. “Any contact between Mr. Deripaska and the senator was social and incidental,” he added.

Salter said the contact between McCain and Deripaska did not constitute a “private meeting”; both men were part of larger gatherings.

Davis declined to comment, saying by e-mail that his activities regarding Deripaska “all relate to my private business and have nothing to do with Senator John McCain.”

Within the campaign, Davis’s role has been controversial from the start, as some aides in late 2006 argued to McCain that the Davis firm’s work overseas conflicted with the senator’s record as a pro-democracy champion and an advocate of reducing the influence of lobbyists in Washington, according to two people familiar with the conversations. The sources spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of internal campaign conversations. The aides questioned whether Davis should be given an important title in the campaign because that would make him more vulnerable to criticism, the sources said.

At first, McCain agreed to give Davis a less conspicuous title, one of the sources said. But then, the source added, “a few days later he [McCain] came back and said he had changed his mind.”

Salter strongly disagreed with that recounting. “No one suggested Rick shouldn’t be in the campaign or discussed such a thing with the senator,” he said in an e-mail.

What’s the difference between a Marxist oriented democratic presidential nominee kook, and his republican counterpart, both of whom support a corrupt system, treasonous to the US government?

    Nothing, really…

Except I won’t have to give Michelle some of my “Pie”.

I missed the part where Oleg Deripaska was picking McCain’s VP?

Not only is Rebecca Walker an idiot, she does not even have facts straight…

Obama’s vote against the war, marriage to his female mentor, outstanding record on reproductive choice and a host of other progressive issues

    Michelle was his female mentor?

    • http://thehorizontalworld.blogspot.com/ Medusa

Interesting information. Stokely Carmichael was Michelle’s mentor and Michelle was Barky’s mentor. Makes perfect sense that then Jeremiah Wright became their minister, mentor and most trusted confidante for 20 years (and no one believes that relationship is over).

I’ll bet Eugene Robinson gets a free pass on using “Obama” and “ammunition” in the same sentence. LOL

    (Think about it.)

I REALLY believe he’s into the flavor of the day. Whatever’s going to work to get him into office, starting, of course, with having everyone else thrown off the ballot. Then the scary question is what will he do? His mentor Deval Patrick took the first crucial steps of buying a Governor’s Cadillac Escalade, redecorating his office, and pushing for casinos. BO’s first steps? Who can possibly know?

Very interesting! To think all of those different policy advisers with their own agendas. Is this Obama’s idea for a big tent?

I can’t figure out how Obama voted on the war…we are not the uninformed ones…not a clue how she could say he did…lying to the people….Is that what the media is doing now?..A lot of his trolls believe this…I saw it over and over during the primary….Obama is trying to buy his way into the White House….Has anyone seen a FOR SALE sign go up on the lawn yet?…I haven’t…

    Thanks for the link…good piece

I haven’t seen the for sale sign at the White House either. But obviously a lot of delegates were wearing “for sale” signs because Obama bought a bunch of them [delegates].

Thanks for the summary. I laughed at the feminist spin, too. Good grief, these people are so stuck in the 70s. I find it hilarious that Obama and Pelosi and the various surrogate team are trying to put women into the tiny box of 1970′s feminist issues.

It’s as though they missed the reality that we moved beyond our support group stage and out into the real world. We actually do have our tax accountants now, our own retirement plans, our own releatives fighting in Iraq, our own children to fund through college. Imagine that. Women actually have real lives and think beyond whether or not birth control is readily available.

Lordy, these people slay me. Are they this young?

Real economic issues? perish the thought.

I may be old-I was a senior citizen before the turn of the century. Deadender? not quite, because I have a LIVE VOTE. Racist? Yeah, I do not care for extreme radical white people, and I do not care for extreme radical black people. Does it matter if Obama was/is a Muslim? It certainly does if he falls under the Extreme Radical type Muslim and all indicaters say he is [extremely radical] because his choice of preachers and friends show Obama’s preferences. Just as I would never vote for the white David Duke, the grand wizzard of the KKK, I will never vote for the black Bara(c)k Hussein Obama whoes name and face has appeared numerous times with numerous extreme radicals.

All these advisers Rezko Watch explain make me wonder about the unseen hands that created B0, direct the media to push him – even now – scary!
On the Sanchez story – sure he’s trying to buy it – just like he bought SDs
    http://edgeoforever.wordpress.com/2008/06/25/sds-for-sale/
The one thing that gives me hope is that he lost to Hillary anyway, outspending her 3 to one.
As for Rebecca Walker’s inanities – I heard this meme pushed before: B0 being our first female president
    http://edgeoforever.wordpress.com/2008/06/16/heres-your-woman-president-b0/
    It didn’t work then either.

Has he really got 500 million to spend on the election? 500 million?

Will it work, will he be able to buy the presidency? Or at least the election judges?

Just as he (says) is getting ready for McCain playing the race card by playing the race card, maybe we need to get people prepared for the advertising onslaught after the Convention. If Obama wins the nomination that is.

Is there any pac that has the money now to put out ads telling everyone what Obama is going to try to tell us?

  • Mary

I just sent an email to the two superdelegates that I could vote for in Ohio, Gov Strickland and Senator Sherrod Brown telling them how disappointed I was that they are now supporting Senator Obama. I advised them of my reasons and that if they cannot “stand tall” and vote for Hillary at the convention, I will not “stand tall” for them when there turn at re-election comes around.

I also told them the democratic party left me no choice but to vote for Senator McCain in November since they have provided such a poor choice for our candidate.

I really felt kind of bad sending the email to Gov Strickland because I really like him and think Ohio is lucky to have him – but everyone needs to be accountable for what they are doing to our country for putting Obama in the White House.

Anyone that is interested can go to politico and they have a list of the superdelegate and for whom they are supporting – you can then google and get your elected official’s email and send a message as to how you feel.

It made me feel better and a little empowered by letting them know how I felt.

  • JP49

Sounds like Rebecca is talking about herself as all of the commentators are. They only wish it were true of how we feel. However, I do believe that Obama is gaining in momentum and the republican party is holding out too long in bringing out what they know about him. Like a runaway train they won’t be able to put on the brakes.

  • JP49

Have any of us thought to write the BBC and other world newspapers attaching whatever evidence we have about Obama. Perhaps if the rest of the world would see some of the evidence we have they would start pressuring the U.S. news to do the same. God if he is elected the U.S. as we know it is gone.

Here’s how to tell if Barck is telling a lie. The answer will be proceeded by the following words “no , no, no; and then he will just make up the answer to fit the question. Even if at times he looks like a “right winger” that supports President Bust to the grave. Someone has to look into the possibility of a quid pro quo regarding the Resko matter. How is it that the guy who is guilty of paying off politicians for favors to buy a piece of land on the same day that you do and there are no connections whatsoever?

      Here’s the problem:

Barack says he did not know that Tony was closing on the same day as he and Michele moved on up like George and Weenie), and yet he says, he and Resko close on the same property the same day because the seller required that they do so. (Maybe someone should talk to the seller and see if there were any prior communications or promises)

The fact says that Obama is telling a LIE. (Listen for the no, no, no follows by his answer.)

My questions is does anybody care?

  • Tuppence 411

OMG! a third grade Sunday school or CCD student could correct his fundamental error.”No, no Senator Obama- Remember? in the Act of the Apostles Peter had a dream…”
For the record- I don’t care what religion a politico practices( or doesn’t). What I do care about is Nobama attempting to co-opt a page out of Karl Rove’s 2004 playbook. And do it badly! He is poorly equipped to have the dialog. What obviously little religious education he has received at the hands of Wright and Pfleger is FLAWED.

  • Hope Floats

It seems Rev. Wright didn’t preach too much of the Good Word.
