So what about the “Whitey” tape? I continue to receive emails from Obama supporters who , regrettably, are incapable of reading. Here is a typical inquiry:

Well Hardy, for the umpteenth time, I do not have the tape. And, as I have stated repeatedly, the folks who do have the tape are waiting until after the Democrat convention in August. These people are working to elect John McCain and want to run against Barack Obama. Anyone who insists that I have access to the tape give new meaning to the term, “moron.” I wish I did, but I do not.

Time will tell. I am confident my sources are telling the truth about what they know.

        FloridaDem, when you write something smug like “reading is not their strong suit”, you should take pains to avoid making elementary school writing errors in the sentences that follow. “Chants” needs no apostrophe: it’s not a possessive. And the sentence that begins “Neither reasoning nor questioning” is a double negative: its meaning is the exact opposite of what you intended.

    Barack Obama does not belong anywhere near the United States presidency, whether there is a tape or not.

    The racism toward whites, the sexism, and yes even the homophobia (McClurkin) displayed by him, his wife, his church, his supporters, and their campaign is quite obvious to anyone with a pair of eyes. If there is a tape, it will simply be one more document that proves this point.

    If no tape exists, it doesn’t change a thing. He is just as stinkingly unqualified to hold office with or without a “whitey” tape.

    And your sources are friends of a friend of a friend who knows somebody at the RNC who heard someone else heard Michelle Obama said ‘whitey’, etc. etc. but now your not sure if it was actually at Trinity Church on a stage with Farrakan, yadda yadda yadda? Do you have five sources, or have they been whittled down to two?

    Because a while ago you said apparently had “five separate sources who have spoken directly with people who have seen the tape” and then a couple days later you said, “I have not spoken directly with the people who have seen the tape, but I have spoken to two of my friends who are friends with those who watched the tape/dvd.”

    We know you never had the tape although you constantly seemed to blow your own horn as if any minute you might be set to have some part in it’s being released.

    Sadly, you sound a bit like David Brock while he still worked for the Dark Side of the Force at American Spectator, digging up dirt, real and imagined, against Hillary Clinton in order to bring down Bill because they (the radical right) couldn’t do it the democratic way- instead, they circumvented the process (you know, losing elections and such) and tried to sling enough mud so that eventually something would stick. No wonder it seems most of your new best friends are now members of the far right who are trying to bring down the democratic nominee- unfortunately what you don’t ‘get’ is that they would have done it to Hillary too had she been the nominee instead of Obama.

    As a Hillary supporter, I am going to take her advice and try to get a democrat elected so we don’t lose the right to reproductive freedom, so we don’t end up with another Antonin Scalia on the bench, we can continue to support ENDA, hopefully repeal DADT and increase funding for stem cell research- all things which McCain more or less opposes (althuogh he seems willing to now back off support for stem cell research) as does Hillary.

    Obama is the first US presidential candidate in history to appeal to his supporters to attack anyone who criticizes him, reveals the truth about him, humiliates him.

    That is part of his legacy. And the groupies who will do anything to get an imaginary piece of him.

    Other leaders are not going to put up with Obama’s terror tactics of “if you criticize me, I’ll get my goons to attack you” mentality.

    If Obama wins, expect Canada and Nato to pull out of Afghanistan. He was too busy to do anything as head of the Senate Committee for the War in Afghanistan. The American people may not know that, but those leaders of those countries do. The US is already fighting one war by itself, the last thing it needs is to be trying to fight two or more of them.

    I wonder how many of these people are actually Clinton supporters. It’s not so much that they think the tape doesn’t exist, it’s that they know there is a STRONG likelihood that it DOES exist and they desperately hope it will be released BEFORE the convention in August.

    But that’s not going to happen. You know what I think? I think that tape DOES exist (else why has the Chicago media not simply played THEIR coverage of the event in question in order to debunk this). But I also think that the republicans want Obama supporters to think it does not exist. To get good and complacent, even arrogant….maybe start race baiting again.

    As for your statement that McCain is pro war, what are you basing that on? I know very few people in the military who are generally pro war; they do what their country calls upon them to do, but I have a strong suspicion, they would much prefer peace to war.
