The war on terror which is advocated by Bush is actually construed as the war on Islam since the terrorists/suicide bombers are all derived from Muslims. Islam is not compatible to modern civilized world. Islam is like a ghost which follows every infidel and is vexing to the soul if it exists in your environment. Islam does not leave an infidel alone even the infidel does not want to get involved or has anything to do with it. Islam does not allow an infidel to exist living on this planet earth peacefully. An infidel is destined to go to hell according to Islam. Islam is an archaic religion and if you are born from a Muslim parent, you are destined to be a Muslim for life. If Obama is the commander in chief, Obama scores a double unprecedentedness. Obama is not only the first black, but also the first Muslim commander in chief of the USA. Islam will be the dominant religion in the world and and is akin to Allah triumphs over God if Obama is the commander in chief. Posting quotes from a prominent supposedly mainstream Islamic organization in the United States, the Muslim Student Association, that says Islam is incompatible with separation of church and state and that Islam must be the highest law of the land is an anti-Islamic rant. That tells me that JozefAL believes protecting and defending the inalienable rights of individuals to freedom and equal protection under the law under the Constitution of the United States is anti-Islamic.

John Bolton was the first American ambassador to the U.N. that exposed the kinds of corruption that go on as a part of their daily business. Some may have disapproved of his tact, but he was effective for the short time he served.

It was he, who publicly denounced the decision to put Sudan on the U.N. Human Rights Council.

It was he, who was instrumental in forcing investigations into the Oil for Food program, that exposed corrupt foreign politicians and U.N higher-ups. The money trail went so far up the line, that Kofi Anon himself was stonewalling the investigation of his son Kojo. After it was assured that Bolton’s term wouldn’t be renewed, the investigations were quietly tidied up by throwing a few low level sacrificial lambs to the wolves, instead of the “real” crooks that have been using the U.S. as an ATM.

He was one of the few that spoke out against Ahmadinejad, Castro, Chavez, and others for their treatment of political adversaries and minorities in their countries. His political opponents and the MSM participated in assassinating his character, because he had the gaulle to challenge U.N. status quo. When Ahmadinejad said there were no homosexuals in his country, he wasn’t lying. He had the ones that they knew of exterminated. Where is the MSM on the nationalization and censorship of the media in Venezuela? To mention the U.N. and human rights in one sentence is laughable at best.

Now the U.N. launches a so-called investigation of racism in the U.S., and it happens to coincide during this election? Just last week, the Obama campaign plays the race card again, just like they accused Bill Clinton of being a racist. Coincidence, I think not. The U.N. is vested into an Obama presidency.

The U.N. is protecting a proposed forced investment of 0.7% of our national GNP as a guise for helping impoverished nations, that Obama has authored. The Global Poverty Act will confiscate 68 Billion dollars a year, on top of what we give in foreign aid already, from hard working Americans, and impose international laws to strengthen the U.N. As we all know, every time the U.S. donates money or food to the U.N., it is almost always pilfered by corrupt officials of the nations we try to help. In turn, they use that aid to further strengthen themselves politically while their citizens starve and civil rights reformists languish in prisons. Dictators of these countries will be happy to receive our money “assuring” us they will reform, but they will not, and the U.N. will vote to keep the status quo as usual.

If Obama is elected, and is given a rubber stamp Congress of like minded politicians, they will vote for this global tax on all Americans.

Charity from the heart is good. Americans have always stepped up to the plate, sometimes going without, for the sake of giving to other countries in immediate need. The taking of American monies and relinquishing American rights to advance a U.N. political agenda is not only scandalous, it borders on criminal.

somebody ought to ask mr. hussein what he thinks about this practice, and whether he thinks it should be open to UN sanction. a lot of his followers share the belief that islam and arabs/muslims are exempt from all criticism. as an atheist, there’s certainly no love lost between me and christianity, but islam is 100X worse, and i don’t want anybody remotely associated with or sympathetic to islam anywhere near the white house.

The UN is a bastion of evil.The majority voice comes from the Islamic bloc.While they will not allow any criticism of their brutal “cultural” activities,they have taken Israel to task repeatedly for defending itself against Islamic terror attacks,including the building of a barrier to keep these killers out of their country. The UN created the corrupt “oil for food” program with Saddam Hussein, enriching the pockets of the Kofi Annan regime,while UN so-called”peacekeepers” were bribing little children in African refugee camps with lollipops for sexual favors. The United States,which gives more than 25% of the total funding(our tax dollars)to this elitist club of sewer rats, has endured endless attacks and NO co-operation from them. US OUT OF THE UN!
BTW…I was a lifelong Democrat until about 6 years ago(now an Independent)…and I can’t tell you how glad I am to have discovered this website! Democrats(to my delight) are waking up to the hypocrisies of our political world, and I thank God for that!

Well, the basic root of Islam is shared with salaam (which does mean “peace”, as well as “hello” and “goodbye”, much like the Hebrew cognate, “shalom”). All Semitic languages–which include Arabic and Hebrew–feature vocabularies in which the words are based on three root letters. In the case of “Islam” and “salaam”, the root letters are s-l-m. ALL Arabic words based on this root formation have a linguistic connection (note that additional letters preceding or following the root letters make adjustments; the “m” that precedes s-l-m is usually indicative of a person, similar to the -er/-or suffixes in English–like “leader” and “conductor” indicating people who perform the actions).
I would also note that, in all this anti-Islamic ranting, that much of Israel’s government supports Orthodox Jewish teachings. Orthodox Judaism is almost as strict with regards to women as Islam (read the Old Testament and you’ll find that a woman who’s having her period is expected to avoid the synagogue to avoid “polluting” it; women are expected to dress modestly and, even today in many ultra-Orthodox communities, women aren’t supposed to continue their education much past their 12th or 13th birthdays, and many ultra-Orthodox women still submit to arranged marriages). Orthodox Jewish communities are allowed to actually shut down streets and prohibit ANY type of transportation on the Sabbath. Many Western fast-food restaurants are forced to comply with Kosher food laws (and, some are not allowed to sell certain products if they can’t be made purely Kosher). Even Western-owned hotels have faced trouble over selling non-Kosher foods to WESTERN (non-Jewish) tourists.
And, then ther’s the Wailing Wall. Women are restricted to a certain portion of the Wall and the police have actually arrested women who’ve been in the wrong area.

Well, that may be what you interpret the Quran to say. But over in Egypt, and in other Near and Middle Eastern and southwest Asian countries as well, female genital mutilation is alive and well. When was the the last time that a male was convicted of FMG and sentenced to prison in a Near or Middle Eastern Muslim country? Cite the case, the date, and the country.

How dishonorable must the U.N. become before the honor of the United States is stained by continued association with it?

After the right to life itself, freedom of expression may be the most fundamental of human values. The United Nations was created to be a forum, a place where peoples could come together to discuss anything and everything, because discussing is better than killing each other. If Muslims can silence this body on all things Islamic, discussion of one of the world’s biggest problems has been quashed. Can war be far behind?

They can do this because they don’t see the current conflict between Islam and the West as a problem at all. They see it as the growing pains of an inevitable birthing process, and they have already accepted the cost. For them, discussion is over.

There can be only one outcome when people can no longer talk to one another.

Just to clarify your apparent misconception, while it is true that LITERALLY Islam means “submission”, it’s intended to mean SPECIFICALLY a “submission to God/Allah” and that THROUGH THAT SUBMISSION, one finds PEACE.
It’s akin to the Christian bromide, “No Jesus, No Peace; Know Jesus, Know Peace”.
Obviously, based on the real history of Christianity, there’s been very little “peace” simply by knowing Jesus.
As to the South Park bit, I’m not really sure what the hell you’re talking about. The whole thing about Muhammed was a JOKE–spinning off “Family Guy”, incidentally. What happened in the 2-part episode (titled “Cartoon Wars”, pts 1 & 2) was that (in the South Park universe), the executives at Fox planned to pull an episode of “Family Guy” in which Mohammed was going to be shown. Cartman, in an effort to get “Family Guy” banned, convinced the Fox executives to go ahead with the show. But what you’re referring to is NOT what happened. I don’t believe either Matt or Trey ever actually intended to show Mohammed since that was not the real joke or point of the episode. Some episodes of the show might not be aired in syndication (once a syndicator has bought a series to air, it’s not required to air any episode that may be considered offensive in a given market; on Comedy Central, however, there’s no such restrictions) and virtually every syndicated broadcast features far more bleeping and editing that passed the Comedy Central censors.

I am a Muslim and this site is full of lies and misconceptions about Islam. More than 90% of the Muslim don’t practice female genital mutilation. FMG is forbidden in current Saudi Arabia, Iran, Afganistan under teliban, Pakistan and vast majority of countries. It is pure lie to tie FMG with Islam. Recently, Islamic scholars successfully advocated banning FMG in Somalia and Egypt. Read the news. Support for FMG is not found in Quran or any reliable Hadiths. This is the case with honor killing. Lot of the Muslim countries you go to, you will never hear one case of honor killing like Indoneasia, Malaysia and Bangladesh. Stoning for adultery is for both males and females equally for commiting adultery. There is no difference in terms of punishment for stoning set for males or females.
