He who sleeps with dogs….

I used to like Ed Rendell. He seemed like the straight up kind of guy that you could count on to tell it like it is. But no more. Seems Eddie boy has been sippin on the Cult-Aide. And now he wants all of us PUMAs to recognize the error of our ways and join him and the HOUNDs in defeating John McCain.

He starts with a ridiculous premise. And it goes downhill from there.
But here, have a look.

HOUND’S CREDO

We believe Sen. Clinton supporters should vote for Sen. Obama because, as Hillary herself said so forcefully and poignantly in her great speech a few Saturdays ago, the best way to achieve the changes she has fought so hard to bring to America, and on which she based her campaign, is to support Sen. Obama, whose policies are almost identical to hers.

Well Ed, if that were true then none of us would have supported Hillary to begin with. I mean come on, does it even make sense to say that the best way to achieve the changes Hillary championed is to vote for someone that didn’t champion those issues? Does it even enter that apparently tiny little mind of yours to consider that we supported and still support Hillary BECAUSE Obama does not champion the issues we feel so strongly about?

And like all politicians or supporters that want to over exaggerate their importance Rendell makes the statement we hear from so many quarters.

No one worked harder than I did for Hillary and I believe no one could admire her and what she represents more that I do.

What gets me is that no one ever calls people like Rendell on their arrogant egos. After all, not everyone can work harder or admire her more. So somebody has to be lying. I think I will group Eddie in that liars group.

And in a coup de grâce Rendell makes PUMAs out to be the enemies of freedom. As if we would be the ones responsible for placing an inexperienced, unqualified candidate in the White House. Don’t you get it Eddie? The reason we are united against Obama is because we don’t want to place an inexperienced, unqualified candidate in the most powerful position on earth. That’s your guy Eddie.

So don’t try to unload that cart of donkeyshit on us.

Of course a little revisionist history is required for the partakers of Cult-Aide. This next line just leaves me in uncontrolled hysterics.

Close your eyes and think about Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton standing together united at a ceremony for the bill signing of legislation that guarantees every American affordable, effective healthcare.

Earth to Eddie boy Rendell: During the campaign that you supposedly worked harder for Hillary than anyone else do you happen to recall that she stated over and over that Obama did NOT support Universal Health care? Are we now suddenly to believe that he supports it? Where is the briefing paper on that one?

Lets see… he doesn’t support the 4th Amendment, has issues with the 1st Amendment and is confused by the 2nd Amendment. But you want us to believe that he has finally come around to supporting Universal Health care? How about a few sources of substantiating fact?

And just to demonstrate to us that Hound isn’t our enemy he states something completely ridiculous.

One last point – HOUND is not anti-PUMA. We agree with many of your grievances. For example, we, too, believe that the Democratic Party’s nominating process is unfair and undemocratic.

Uh… excuse me. You want us to believe that Obama believes the nominating process is unfair and undemocratic? ROFLMAO. You got to be kidding. Right? I mean your position is absurd. But that is what drinking the Cult-Aide does to someone. They are able at a moment’s notice to say the most ridiculous things with a straight face. And they expect the rest of us to believe it.

And finally Rendell reaches out to PUMAs. But in doing so he decides to belittle us in the process. A skill learned from Obama no doubt.

So, we are asking all PUMA members to curb your disappointment, mute your anger and frustration and join HOUND to help change America. While the PUMA may be more swift and athletic, the HOUND is smarter and more perceptive.

Well, screw that. A PUMA can kill a dog any day of the week. So word to the wise Eddie. Be on the look out for a cat you can’t control. A cat lurking in your backyard. And soon to be knocking on your front door.

      I just read Rendell’s hilarious call to join HOUNDS. Does he honestly think that millions of voters are not serious about voting for John McCain over Obama? Do you think that life long Democrats have changed their party affiliation on a whim? Do you think any of the reasons why we support Hillary for president is found in Obama? We are not voting for the “lesser of two evils”. We are voting for the person that we feel is more qualified to be president. That his platform and agenda may not mirror ours is second to his character and proven record of experience. I would not have supported Bush if he were a Democrat and i will not support Obama just because he is a Democrat. I guess it is because we are just swift and athletic rather than smart and perceptive like you guys that make you think that we are complete idiots! you have insulted your base yet again. And leave Hillary out of this. We are masters of our own free will and our own vote. WE OWN OUR VOTE — not you, not the DNC -or what is left of it-and certainly not Obama.

        Good letter. This is really a pretty clear political situation for the Dems. They had all the information they needed to make a wise choice. Experience mattered in every single primary, and those votes went to Hillary.

        The DNC thugs are putting forth an unprepared candidate, and they really can’t whine that we all noticed he is sorely lacking in experience, his judgment is highly questionable given what we learned, and he simply isn’t prepared to be president.

        Their choice. They backed the wrong candidate.

        I know, my english is not very good and I am not our most brilliant blogger. Nevertheless I posted this on HOUND in reply to Gov. Rendell and Sen. Casey’s statement:

        This is a historic time. The Democratic Party has abandoned it’s core values to cater to a candidate that should be rolled in tar and feathers and driven out of the village.

        I will vote again for democrats when the Party stands for democracy again.

        We meet again at the voting booths in November.”

    Obama threatened Rendell before the primary. Obama called him and said: I hope you don’t do anything here –meaning helping HRC– that would make it harder for me to win PA in November”.

    Rendell himself reported this and was pretty ticketed about it.

    So where is Rendell coming from with this idiotic Hound thing?

    I am trying to understand what does Rendell think is doing here? and Why “he” ?

    Could it be he’ll be VP ?

      Andy — Whatever Rendell is doing — we know he can’t stand Obama. Is Hillary suddenly an Obama fan — now that she has to travel with him? These Democrats are being forced to support Obama in every way possible. In Hillary’s case she was told if she didn’t go around with Obama that she would have a primary challenge for her Senate seat. One has to wonder why Obama is such a totalitarian. Sounds like he is afraid of the PUMA’s and has to have his Hounds to counter them on TV shows. Obama becomes more repulsive to me daily.

      I personally beleive because Rendell came across as the most ardent Politico of Hillary’s that he is getting alot of crap from BHO. Remember the threats to SD’s and down ticket people as well from BHO campaign. And as you mentioned the threatening call from BHO before the PA.Primary. BHO put Rendell on notice .

      Now Ed has to crawl back into the good graces if he ever wants anything he might need for the State of PA. He is doing what he must do and somehow I’ve heard him time and time again giving his full support to Hillary .

      Now he must do what he must do for his State and his own political career. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Hound came straight from the Obama campaign and he was told to do this.

        Everyone is being blackmailed one way or another. I’m sure Rendell’s been threatened with both a Primary challenge and lack of funding for PA should BO get elected. And they probably sweetened the pot with a Cabinet postion offer.

        But more and more I have a sense of forboding. That BO’s election is already a done deal. The machines have already been programmeed, the dead people registered, volunteers in place to stuff the ballot booxes, EVERYTHING!

        Add to that all the disaffected voters on both sides Democrats and Republicans, Third Party candidates, and the blackout of real news coverage via the msm.

        There’s a reason BO is pandering to the right so openly. He must KNOW he has nothing to lose.

      Looking for anything making sense in this election will drive you nuts. Gov. Rendell was attacked for his comment on the demographics in Pa. also. He was on some talk shows after and he looked scared to death he would be branded racist the rest of his life. At least he knows PUMA and the word is spreading all over. Everyone has fallen in line except Evan Bayh and Pres. Clinton. How are they planning to get Bill on the same stage with BO? Whatever, it hasn’t worked yet.

    I do not bear animosity toward Ed Rendell for this effort. He was an important and visible supporter for HRC. He made an extra difference in PA and PA was very important to the HRC cause. I do not plan to support Obama and will work actively against him but I am not going to trash other Democrats who decide to get on the unity pony. Each of us has to think this through and decide. We do not have to be ugly about it.

      That’s exactly it – Rendell was chastising and trashing PUMAs despite what he says at the end and WE are the ones who do not deserve his treatment.

      We PUMAs have a right and a duty, quite frankly, as Americans to vote for whom we choose and whom we believe is best suited and best equipped to lead this country.

      The message that PUMAS send back to ED RENDELL is that there is more to politics than PARTY UNITY and that’s keeping America out of the hands of corrupt, passive aggressive narcisists whose only mission is to obtain POWER for himself. Every time in history that that type of person has stepped into a position of power it has resulted in a world-wide DISASTER for everyone.

      ED RENDELL disrespected all PUMAs who actually, should be praised, for they are thinking of the greater good…the SAFETY of our nation as a whole.

    Rendell is doing what he has to do. I don’t expect anything else from any Dem in elected office. Whatever they may think privately, whatever they might do in the voting booth, in public, they are going to sing the praises of the unity train.

    Let them. Whatever they tell themselves, however they spin it, the truth is that there is a hard core of Hillary supporters who recognize the danger an Obama presidency represents and who are just not going to vote for him.

    Ed’s just being the good soldier. I can almost bet he’s well aware that Obamalamadingdong hasn’t a snowball’s chance in hell but he’s just making sure no one can say he dogged him.

    What will be telling is when the obombster comes up short here in PA. Slick Eddie is very influencial in the Keystone state, but I think even he’s convinced the state’s going red.

    I personally won’t be too hard on him. He was one of Hillary’s most vocal and vociferous supporters throughout the primaries, calling it as he saw it. I would even venture a guess if Dean and the Bambino do not get Hillary off the ballot in Denver and there is a secret ballot for Superdelegates, Ed’s vote will be for the BEST and MOST QUALIFIED CANDIDATE.

        Rendell will NEVER convince this Pa. voter. I don’t know of anyone who supports Obama. My small town is dominated by Democrats. I have not heard one person say they will vote Obama. They all say without even thinking about it, that they will vote McCain. They are to afraid of Obama. They will vote for the safe choice. And Eddie better be nice to the voters who will not support Obama, the PUMA members. I sure hope, for his sake, that he doesn’t tell us to be MUTE ever again. Because we will not forget next time he is up for re-election.

My husband said — I can’t stand him and the man was so relieved. He talked about how he could not vote for Obama under any circumstances. My husband asked him if he heard of PUMA and he said no.

          Millions of people all over the country are coming to the conclusion that this country is too important to be left in the hands of this amateur. Obama is in big trouble and so is the Democratic Party. Maybe the party will think twice the next time they decide to steal the nomination.

        Why would he do such a thing? Those are the same people who called him racist. This parade of Hillary supporters going on talk shows beating a drum for Obama is almost comical. All the while saying don’t worry, Dems will come home, Obama is out there insulting us again.     I still say that, if given the choice, my cat would vote libertarian. Dogs, being pack animals, would vote socialist.

    I like Ed Rendell – he’s been a good governor, but I’m not feeling the Unity (TM). He and other career Democrats can endorse Obama until the pony drops dead – they have to, else their party clout is on the line. As a mere registered Democrat, I can flip off and turn down any member of the party who doesn’t live up to my standards. Obama does not live up to my standards and continues to slip lower and lower as time wears on. I wish people would quit HOUNDing me to vote for him.

    Technically Hillary had no way of winning the primary when??

    Yet Hillary kept trooping on, making promises of going all the way to the Convention no matter what, asking for money and time, and yes the list probably goes on. I spend many a Saturday doing calls on my cell phone, especially towards the end. Actually towards the end I did a few Sundays too.

    Now Hillary is apparently not going to the Convention with her fight, Hillary and her dieheart super delegates are now supporting Obama and she is now asking her dieheart supporters to also blindly follow behind to elect this #%$* of a man(fill in the blanks yourself).

    In all my years I have never ever seen a major party candidate with such a fraudulent slate get this far in his run for office.

    We have all been bamboozled. The Republicans wanted Obamba on the ticket because they will wipe his ass in November with all the dirt they have on him. A Republican client of mine told me last year that they were going to switch parties to make sure that obama got the nomination. It was easy especially with the help of the DNC. Both Howard Dean and John Kerry had their own personal vendettas with the Clintons. It has never benn about getting Obamba elected it has always been about Hillary NOT getting elected! She knows this why do you think she only suspended her campaign so she could keep her delegates. She is buying her time right now. She is hoping that someone will air all his dirty laundry before the Convention. We should try to do that any way we can.         Dawnelle the day before Obama announced that he was the nominee — the undecided SD’s had a meeting and they decided not to endorse any candidate until the Convention. Next day Obama comes out and says they support him — he got a verbal agreement from them. They seem to have allowed him to get away with saying he had their endorsements. Now it appears to be negotiable whether Hillary’s name will be put in nomination. Who died and left Obama the boss of the Democratic Party and why in the hell are they allowing this. If it was just to hand the election to McCain they could have done this without looking like major league assholes.

          It is strange about the sds. Gov. Ritter of Colorado didn’t even know his name was on the list of endorsers. The last time I checked the list, there are still 125 uncommitted sds. In her last speech, she said, “I’ll never give up and I’ll never give in”. She suspended her campaign instead of conceding, her campaign reserved the right to challenge Mi. allotment before the credentials committee. If they take her name off the ballot with or without her permission, it only takes two people to get it back on. The only way they could stop it, would be to find a way to shut her supporters down and that won’t be pretty on nationally televised convention. I think a floor fight would be a great way to cleanse the party. They can kiss the GE goodby anyway so why not have a show down?

    National Party members like ed Rendell and even Hillary Clinton must continue to support the DNC’s choice. They are career politicians and right or wrong they must continue to support their party and hope to change it from within.

    I don’t hold anything against them for doing what they have to do to not be ostricized from the party that they are groudned in and have lived their lives being a part of not just philosophically but career wise.

    Ive thought for a while that some of the Hillary groups that have formed recently were designed by Obama to monitor and interfere in anti Obama activity. I guess HOUND is just being a bit more direct than most.

    I could name one Im suspicious of in particular but it just a suspicion at this point. I would suggest that if you join a group you find out what the sponsors were doing during the primary and confirm it.

    As far as HOUND-the name says it all. The goal of the group is to hound PUMAS, to run them to the ground. The group is made up of HOUNDS-plural-one puma can take down a dog-but Hunters use groups of dogs to track down wild animals and kill them. Keep in mind Ed is from a huntin state. They are encouraging the cyber thugs that Obama has to attack PUMAS.

    I think we need to start to focus or attentions. All these groups have so many agendas nothing is going to get done. Lets say we have three main goals:

    Oppose a handful of politicians that supported Obama over their constituencies (and Pelosi-I just cant stand her twitching anymore-call me petty).

    Refrain from voting for Obama and expose him for the fraud he is.

    And when people like Ed attack us-as a group respond. These people are acting like we are serfs and they are our feudal masters. Such an unwise attitude to adopt.

    Don’t be so hard on Rendell. He certainly merits a strong response, but this post makes me feel like he is no better than McCaskill or someone, and he certainly is. He stood by Hillary and fought for her when no one else would. He also let some pretty unflattering things about Obama slip, like when he told AC360 about how he would be the nominee so Rendell better not jeapordize it, or when he said in regards to a PA fundraiser they just need checks, not the people, etc. He is doing his job, just like Hillary is, and I know not everyone agrees with this, but I think both really think any Dem is better than a Republican.. I remember what that was like. Hillary (and Rendell) and I disagree on this point, but I still respect them.

    And in any case, remember that Rendell is a VERY smart politician. Don’t think for one second that Rendell did not realize that establishing a counter group to the PUMA movement elevates our importance. Rendell felt the need to respond, we are somebody’s.

    I heard two Interviews with Ed Rendell, in the last couple of months,and he was a VERY strong supporter for Hillary,I remember him saying sh be she’d be the nominee, and the next President of the United States.He said this with many of his interviews. The last one I heard,and it was around the time of the Sds had backed Obama instead, of Clinton,and he was shocked that they would want to send the weakest Candidate up against John Mccain. So I believe something is going on behind the scenes, that we are not seeing. Because this is just too phony. I don’t think the Hounds was Rendells idea. I also hope more Democrats start to quit the party, and maybe someone will wake up.. Bill Clinton would be a good person to get the ball rolling. Just say no deal Mr Clinton.

    Day 983 of my captivity. My captors continue to taunt me with bizarrelittle dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets.

    Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength. The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet. Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a ‘good little hunter’ I am.     There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of ‘allergies.’ I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage.

    This morning I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow– but at the top of the stairs.

    I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released – and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded.

    The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicate with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now…

    The name HOUNDS is probably one of the poorest choice of names for a political group. Is Obama’s campaign racist? Just think of it – Blood HOUNDS were used to hunt down runaway slaves in the pre-Civil War South. I can’t even use the other names of typical Southern Hunting Hounds lest I offend. To use HOUNDs as the name of political group smacks of racism. I can’t believe Obama’s campaign would resort to the use of racist imagery to promote Unity. Are we slave voters that he wants to hunt down and drag back to the Unity party? Its just a crazy choice for a name.

    Maybe Rendell is signaling with this name that we need to run in the opposite direction from these HOUNDs. Perhaps he’s saying we need to look North to New York for our guiding star.

    Hillary has kept her word and is SUSPENDING her campaign to support obambi. Rendell, her most ardent supporter and the man she would most likely pick for vp has come out and made this statement (the “hound” thing is actually a stroke of genius, you’ll see why). Obambi is supposed to help pay off her campaign debt.
    Now, each day, more and more negative stories pop up about obambi. Each day, more and more doubt is sown. We know there are October surprises on the horizon, we know there is a reported “whitey tape”, we know about the Larry Sinclair allegations, we know about the Donald Young murder allegations, we know about Rezko, we know about ties to many different people who are far less than honest.
    What if…. Hillary and Ed and those who have worked their entire lives to make a difference are biding their time, paying off debt, suspending the campaign and eating crow for the moment only to un-suspend the campaign in August for the convention, after America is as sick and tired of obambi as I have been for many months? What if there are huge, huge stories still out there that will convince the DNC that Obambi is completely unelectable? (If they haven’t been convinced already). What if his support dries up?(since half of it was from republicans because they wanted to run against obambi, not Hillary)
    Hillary is a very, very intelligent woman and has the grace and the fortitude to take the crap for a few months when she KNOWS that come August, she and Rendell will be the Democratic ticket coming OUT of the convention? They do what is asked of them for now and bide their time, just as any political prisoner would do, and when the time comes to pounce (as PUMAs are apt to do), then she will be in the perfect position to reopen her campaign and take the nomination.
    This ball game isn’t over and Clinton/Rendell would win in a landslide after obambi has destroyed himself to the point that his supporters practically beg Hillary to take the nomination to save the party.
    Besides, it’s also a nice diversion to have the republicans spend their time and money focusing on Obama right now and not even noticing Hillary coming in under the radar and crushing them in November.
    Of course if that doesn’t happen, I’ll be voting McCain as any good PUMA would do.

    Rendell and Clinton know the most negative word for a dog is “hound” (other than the gender specific ones). They know the opposing force of “cat” is “dog”, they know it sounds stupid and juvenile and they knew that obambi would eat it up becuase he’s an idiot.
    By making a name like this, it guarantees PUMA will be recognized in any article that mentions “hounds” to explain the reason for the name and give PUMA more press.
    IF my theory holds, it will show Clinton/Rendell as the master politicians and great leaders we know them to be. If not, then they have more patience than I do and are holding out for 2012 after McCain’s one term presidency.
    Besides, McCain is a decent man, I don’t like his gravitation toward bush, but understand it was politically necessary. He is at least a true patriot and one of the more honest politicians out there. He would not destroy the country as I fear obambi would. It’s also hard to completely trash an ex POW who fought hard for his country just as our soldiers are doing now. They didn’t choose bush’s war, but they did choose to serve in the military and fight for our country. Unfortunately, the “commander in chief” doesn’t value them as much as they value us.

You would think someone associated with Obama would figure out that if you want to reach out and bring us to the dark side, the last thing they should do is insult us in the process.     Could someone here help a former Kucinich and Edwards supporter understand why it is that we should not vote for Obama as opposed to McCain?

    Really. I want to understand just what Hillary stood for that was so very different from Obama. Their health care plans were essentially the same in their corporate oriented views (yes, yes, I know about Obama’s not supposedly being universal, but Hillary’s was hardly any better…). And other than that…what was the difference?

    I saw ridiculous statements coming from surrogates of Hillary, but I also noticed the corporate media was very cruel to Hillary–after making her the front runner way back when she announced. Hillary took the air out of the room and only Obama seemed to be allowed to fill up the room by our corporate media.

    Well, Hillary did not prevail and it’s time to make sure we don’t have four more years of someone who is an abject idiot. McCain does not know jack about the economy, and he will sure as hell draft your children to replace our exhausted troops in Iraq. And God knows what number of bombs he wants to drop over Iran. And if anyone is satisfied about the 5-4 decisions on the Supreme Court, then by all means, just keep pouting and telling me you might vote for the idiot McCain.

    So, please, enlighten me as to why I am wrong here. Could ya?

    PS: Obama did not swear on the Koran when he became a Senator. He is not a secret Muslim. He does not share Rev. Wright’s views on race, AIDs or anything else that we’ve heard Wright say that was off the wall. He and Hillary are decent bankers and believe earnestly in public policy. I may not agree with them on some economic issues, and sure as heck opposed the Iraq War from the beginning (as did Obama), and I believe the Democratic Party leadership was spineless in not impeaching Bush and Cheney a long time ago. But I am also sure I am voting for Obama this fall to ensure McCain does not win. How about you all?
