The Just Say No Deal Coalition Responds To Gov. Ed Rendell

*****MEDIA ALERT*****

The Just Say No Deal Coalition Responds

To Gov. Ed Rendell

We’d Like To Teach An Old Dog Some New Tricks

- Online, in Washington D.C. and Nationwide (Press contacts listed at conclusion) – The Just Say No Deal Coalition issues the following response to Governor Ed Rendell’s counter movement HOUND (Hillary-Obama-United-Not-Divided). While we thank the governor for recognizing us as a fluid, viral, viable and ever growing movement— we PUMAs and members of the Just Say No Deal Coalition want to respectfully point out that Governor Rendell and his crew are missing the point.

In HOUND’s credo Governor Rendell states, “PUMA advocated that Hillary Clinton supporters do not vote for Barack Obama just for the sake of party unity…We believe Sen. Clinton supporters should vote for Sen. Obama because, as Hillary herself said so forcefully and poignantly in her great speech a few Saturdays ago the best way to achieve the changes she has fought so hard to bring to America, and on which she based her campaign, is to support Sen. Obama…”

The philosophy on which the Just Say No Deal Coalition was founded is plainly stated as this:

We, as millions of disaffected voters or PUMAs have banded together to form a Coalition of the unwilling. We fervently believe in Country Before Party. If political parties won’t uphold core democratic principles, who will? If the voters don’t hold the parties accountable, who will?

The answer, “We (PUMAs) will at all costs!”

Governor Rendell went on to state:

“We agree with many of your grievances. For example, we, too, believe that the Democratic Party’s nominating process is unfair and undemocratic. We must change the policy where some votes are more important than others and some areas receive more delegates than their number of voters would justify – it violates the spirit of “one person, one vote.” We must eliminate caucuses that are inherently undemocratic and disenfranchise seniors (no absentee voting for those who can’t go to the polls), shift workers and our military. Forcing people to declare their preference in public also violates another cherished principle that undermines our democracy.”

PUMAs again appreciate the heartfelt recognition of Just Say No Deal from Governor Rendell and his group, but it is too late. The damage has been done. We will not fall in line. We will not support a Democratic Party nominee that was selected with a flawed voting process. Reform the process and try to win us back in 2012 Governor Rendell.

Finally Governor Rendell states:

“So, we are asking all PUMA members to curb your disappointment, mute your anger and frustration and join HOUND to help change America. While the PUMA may be more swift and athletic, the HOUND is smarter and more perceptive.”

-MORE-

Again Governor Rendell and crew— you have missed the point. Attempting to insult or undermine us by saying that we have less perception or smarts than you do is counterproductive. We are a diverse group of voters representing ALL ages. We come from all ethnic, socio-economic, religious, political and academic backgrounds; we unite to say (once again), “COUNTRY before PARTY!”

We will not support Senator Obama now or on November 4, 2008. Senator Clinton’s vote is her own; our votes are our own and they will not be cast for Senator Obama. The Just Say No Deal Coalition members will still either choose to stay home in protest, write in Senator Clinton’s name or vote for Senator John McCain. Our votes are our voices and Just Say No Deal’s voices are over 2 million strong and growing. And by the way, we say, “H.O.U.N.D. = Heck, Obama’s Unqualified, No Deal!”

###

In operation just over three hundred hours, the Just Say No Deal Coalition is growing exponentially, from its core group of twenty organizations to an estimated two hundred. Concerned citizens continue to break their silence to express their dissatisfaction with the leadership of the Democratic Party and its apparent short-circuiting of the nominating process. The Just Say No Deal Coalition’s online portal offers those voters a chance to reclaim their voices and the power to Just Say No Deal! The Coalition will continue to organize in pursuit of its mission of keeping another unqualified candidate from inheriting the Oval Office.

    You guys are GREAT!

What did you all think of Obama’s unity speech were he said that Hillary ran in heels. What a jerk he is. He is pretty arrogant that at a rally TRYING to win women over, he suggests that Hillary did it in heels.

Hill’s speech was very moving and for a minute, I thought it might work. Then the ‘eloquent One’ opened his mouth and ruined it for himself.

  • carrienae

    Yesssssss!!!!!

    Never, never Nobama!

  • beachnan

Stated very well–thank you. They just don’t get it. This is not just about Hillary. They could have someone qualified for the job, and instead they went for the unqualified candidate. I do believe that is what we need to keep stating over, and over again–that Obama is unqualified, and that is why we refuse to vote for Obama. Hopefully, this is going to be picked up by the media. Let’s see who paying attention, and will give us some time. PUMA!!!!!!

  • Pink Panther

Rendell and the MSM do not understand or do not want to understand why we are not going to vote for Obama.

The new Democratic Party and Obama DO NOT represent the main core values of the Democratic Party. The new Democratic Party, lead by Obama, has become the party of racism, sexism, and discriminates base on age and religion. Obama and his supporters have clearly set this example during the primary.

Obama is the one who attended a racist church for 20 years. Obama got married in that church and had his children attend and baptized in that church.

Obama is the one who wrote in his autobiography, Dreams of My Father: A Story of Race & Inheritance, “That’s just how white folks will do you.”

Obama is the one who referred to his grandmother as a “typical white person.”

Obama associated with Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, Bill Ayers, Faher Michael Pflger and Rashid Khalidi.

Castro, Gaddafi, Kim Jong, and Hugo Chavez have all voiced support for Obama.

It is not a “knee jerk” reaction for Hillary supporters to vote for McCain. Their allegiance is to America before political party.

How could anyone who has allegiance to America or believes in equality for all support Obama?

  • s. hall

Red — The Democratic Party has a right to pander for our votes. They do not have a right to force our votes. Let Rendell tell Republicans to join Hound. Our votes belong to us. If the Democratic Party wishes to give away their Party to Obama–then we will become Republicans.

  • roseeriter

    PUMAs Rock!!

    NOBAMA!!

  • Ellen D

Obama lifted his “heels” remark from Ginger Rogers who, in discussing Fred Astaire’s legendary dancing pointed out that when she danced with him she had to do the exact same steps but had to do it backwards and in heels. Is there nothing Obama says that is original?

  • ea

As some of the Obama supporters have pointed out, the qualifications for the presidency are based on age and place of birth or citizenship of parents. I prefer the description given by Ms. Harriet Christian–inadequate.

  • zimeeisme

“While the PUMA may be more swift and athletic, the HOUND is smarter and more perceptive.”

Hmmmm…while I like Rendell, I must say that this quote makes me even more determined to do whatever I can to educate those so-called “more perceptive” individuals.

    What a joke!

  • s. hall

joan — the reason it doesn’t work is because its being forced. When did you ever see a losing candidate have to continue to promote the so-called winner like this? It looks like punishment for having been a candidate for the Presidency. Its embarrassing and wrong. What you feel in your soul is real–I have never seen anything like this.

  • Perry Logan

Gov. Rendell is an idiot. Your response is far better than he deserves.

  • http://deleted imustprotest

That was quoted famously by the great Ann Richards.

  • Tricia,NC

I am so very proud of all that joined in the Just Say No Deal coalition. Wow! Over 200 sites now. That’s amazing.

Thank you for sticking together to show how important and unique this Coalition and this election really is. They think they can just let us blow off a little steam and we’ll fall in line. This time is different. This man was seleced, not elected.

Let the Democratic Party know that we are not a part of a party but of a nation. A nation that stands for fairness for all. This is an extremely crucial election and we want experience, judgement and integrity. Mr. Obama lost my confidence and my vote as in my opinion, he has shown he has none of these.

Additionally, although it may sound dramatic, handing the greatest nation on earth to this man truly frightens me. My gut tells me there is something very, very wrong. This whole process has felt like a big con job. Is that how we choose our President? By choosing the one who can manipulate or buy the American people’s votes.

    COUNTRY BEFORE PARTY!

    PUMA!

  • rwc

Rendell now represents not of the people but the party elite and he wants you to vote for whomever the party elite tells you to.

Which means what ever is good for Dear Leader or Der Furher is good for the people. Thats the implicit message of the party bosses.

Vote for OBlowme or watch the country die.

No way rotten Eddie. We’re Americans not some party stooge for your version of Hitler or Mugabe.

You keep that piece of shit that learned to walk and talk to yourself.

And we don’t need a bunch of rich men and women who answer to no one telling us who to vote for.

And just because Hillary came out at very staged campaign that was reminiscent of a Soviet political rally, to tell us to vote for Dear Leader, doesn’t mean shit.

We’re Americans, no one is going to tell us to vote against what we believe is right or to vote against our interests.

Screw you Ed and your asslicking HOUND’s.

  • Postmaster

Sounds like with that remark, Rendell is issuing a challenge. He WON’T WIN and neither will Obama.

Gov. Rendell is a committed Democrat and it’s his job to support the party. He has no choice. He’s also pretty savy. I think he came up with the idea of HOUND to call attention to PUMA without seeming like that’s what he’s doing.

    Thanks for the publicity, Gov!

The DNC, Dean, Brazile and the rest the anti-democratic party supported, pushed and protected BO because, let me say it again, George Soros is financing this and is willing to do whatever he can to have direct access to the Oval Office.

When Soros and BO met behind closed doors and Soros chose to support BO, I have no doubt that it was because he knew he could control him. I’m certain he was not as confidentat that he could control Hillary to betray the middle class in order to advance his agenda of “one world government”.

Take a look. BO has already betrayed his kool-aid brigade and they are so blinded by the marketed “image” of him that they don’t/won’t see it.

This will be a hard fought battle, but we must endure it and, in the end, prevail. The Founders always made it clear that our democracy could survive ONLY if we, the people, were willing to fight for it.

It is our duty as citizens to fight for our democracy as if this were I last opportunity to savie it from those who want to destroy it. Who can predict to what extent the consequences will be, if they are able to “cheat” BO into the presidency and have their way with our precious rights.

How is a hound smarter and more perceptive than a jungle cat? Pumas are stalk-and-ambush predators. They are cunning and fierce.

Not only is Obama unqualified, but how dare Rendell say that the primary process needs changing after the fact that the Dean-Brazile Obama lovers engineered the process so the nomination went to BO. We want a fix now or there will be hell to pay. The criminal acts of intimidation at caucus events around the country that awarded Obama delegates that he didn’t earn makes his nomination questionable at best.

This is not to mention the outrageous meeting of the RBC on May 31st, and the tremendous pressure brought to bear and still being brought to bear on the super delegates to support Obama by Dean and Pelosi and Reid and his friend and Obama campaign manager Tom Daschle.

It’s a mess and the numbers of us who won’t support the Democrats responsible for this and will never support Obama is growing.

As usual, well written article. For those who say that that vote for Obama is a vote for the Democratic Party and a change from the Republican administration, I say we have no evidence of that. We have no evidence that BO will follow the Democratic platform–he has no record upon which we can base that decision. We have no evidence of a lifetime of consistent commitment to anything except talk and caving to pressure on any state legislation that he sponsored(e.g. nuclear waste alerts). Whether you agree with McCain’s platform or not, at least he has a history upon which we can base a decision. So the argument about a Democrat in the WH is ludicrous.

Amen! I’d like to know where Obama would be without Clinton and his progress in the 1990’s. How dare a “potential” Democratic nominee say the best President in the last couple of decades was Ronald Reagan. Are you kidding me!!! The same Reagan who sold arms with Iran, the same man who cut my student loans while in college, the same man who believed in voo-doo economics.

This is Obama’s ideal for president??? Genius, Democrat = HELL NO!!!

Are these all 20 year olds voting or what? NO one remembers how bad it was to get a job in the late 1980’s?

Obama is nothing but an EMPTY suit. He and his wife have no class. They have never once said they LOVE THIS COUNTRY. Ask yourself, shouldn’t the next president be able to say at least that???? No wonder people question if he truly is an American. He creates his own speculation about his patriotism. My dog even likes this country.

Obama has no substance. It is like listening to a thesaurus talking out loud. Where is the BEEF?

He will lead this country without a clue. Recall he said oops more than 6 times in the state senate. He had to say oops I pressed the wrong button when I voted. That on top of voting ONLY present more than 100 times.

Hey if you want to be president you better damn well be able to make a fricken decision pal. There is no oops or present votes in WDC.

This is the most orchestrated pile of crap I have seen in a long time. Howard Dean better take notice, this Democrat is never voting for Obama. Pack you bags folks, this is going to be a long trip before November. We’re in for a ride. PUMAS are damn well mad that Dean is trying to hijack the democratic party to become Marxist radicals.

For the history gurus out there, recall Hitler’s whole campaign was about CHANGE. So I ask, what change are we talking about. I choose to be center — not left off the edge of reason.

PUMAS united. Voting “write in” HIllary Clinton.

  • Ann S

Rendell acknowledges in writing that the process was unfair and undemocratic. Those of you who donated to the Democratic Party should sue them for fraudulent practices. He’s presented your case.

As I posted at PUMA, the Dems are bleeding both money and credibility as a result of the gaming that went on during this primary. Now they have to live (or collapse) from the consequences of alienating half the party.

I wanted to see if others have thought about these issues regarding OB’s inexperience:

I have wondered if Congress has pushed Obama because THEY want to control him, exploit his inexperience to regain their power. It was the responsibility of our Congress to impeach bush. Rather than taking on fortitude, they wimped out. They know full well they cannot control Hillary Clinton. Is OB being used? He appears used to me by the DNC for $$$.

Another point: The Bush Administration abused the Office of Legal Council, i.e. signing statements. I have always thought that the DEM President would have to make some signing statements of their own to untangle some of the mess caused by this abuse of power created. I have never thought that OB could stand up to the political pressure to make these signing statements.

These issues could very well force a one term PRES. This is all of course if the DNC and Congress continue to prop up OB and not go with the most qualified candidate, who they cannot control, Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Anyone have any thoughts on these issues?

Rendell’s “HOUND” fits his description and that of the democratic party quite well. The old addage “Anybodies dog” was descriptive of any person who had no loyalty, a dog that would hunt for anyone. “Hound” is a good logo for the corrupt democratic party, Rendell will hunt for anyone.

He is letting you know that your vote against Obama will make the difference in November.

By the same token he is doing what he has to do to try to maintain his position within the party structure to be ready to affect change when we the voters dump Barry Obullshitartist on his entitled Ass in November.

    No More Caucuses ever.

No More 1 delegate = 700 voters here and 20,000 voters there.

    No Obama in November.

Michelle and Barry can go back to chicago and reminisce about the good old days when you could get shot going to the gas station or set bomb at the pentagon with their buddy Bill Ayers, or talk about how america invented AIDS to kill blacks with Jeremiah, or figure out how to get another 300%$ raise for Michelle by getting ABarry elected with no contest on another state ballot by disenfranchising the voters and challenging every signature till the other opponent is disqualified.

I just ran across this story about two more defectors and thought I’d shared it.

    By Kevin Landrigan
    Nashua Telegraph
    June 27, 2008
    Nashua Telegraph
CONCORD – A former Clinton administration official and Concord Democrat agreed Thursday to co-chair Democrats for John McCain, which backs the Arizona Republican’s presidential campaign.
James McConaha served as Bill Clinton’s Farm Service Agency director in New Hampshire. Former Democratic Gov. Jeanne Shaheen named him to be the state’s director of historical resources.
McConaha’s co-chair is his wife, Valery Mitchell, a longtime party activist who’s volunteered to work on several past Democratic campaigns.
“I think in general both of us felt that this is such an important position, perhaps the most important job in the world that it requires a person who has the experience and the competence to hold it,” McConaha said.
“We just liked Senator McCain for a lot of reasons. In our minds, he is that person.”
McConaha said the last Republican he supported was Barry Goldwater in 1964.
“Never in my adult life have I done this,” he said.
After Sen. Hillary Clinton withdrew from the race two weeks ago, McConaha said the couple received a few, “friendly” telephone calls from Obama supporters.
“I’ve been surprised at peoples’ interest in John McCain. He is very appealing across the political spectrum,” McConaha added.

IF YOU ARE READY FOR A SOCIALIST GOVERNMENT–VOTE OBAMA. IF YOU ARE READY FOR ANOTHER CHANCE–VOTE MCCAIN. IF YOU ARE NOT READY FOR EITHER–THAT’S TOUGH BECAUSE THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY NO LONGER EXISTS. NOW THERE IS ONLY SOCIALIST AND REPUBLICAN PARTIES.

ORLANDO – Vandals have spray-painted 60 city vehicles in Orlando, some with messages against Sen. Barack Obama.

The cars were parked across from city hall late Saturday night. Investigators say the culprits tagged notes such as “Obama smokes crack” and a racial epithet. They even left business cards on each vehicle.

Mike Lowe, a videographer working for The Associated Press, first told police about the damage. He saw three cars with anti-Obama messages, while the others only were painted heavily.

The business cards disparage both Obama and Sen. John McCain but have messages of support for Sen. Hillary Clinton.

—The work of the Obots, no doubt.

The more I read this, the madder I get!

Here we are again, another supporter of Hillary’s, telling us to vote for Obama.

Doesn’t matter one Fr’n bit to them, as to why we will not support him.

Doesn’t matter one fr’n bit to them, that we will not support a man who was “selected”, not elected, by the DNC, super delegates and the “joke” of a media.

Doesn’t matter one fr’n bit to them, that we will not support a man, who is inexperienced and unqualified.

Doesn’t matter one fr’n bit to them, that we will not support a man, who has many many terrorist, radical, anti- American associates. Many of whom he has helped to get millions of OUR tax payers money, to fund their illegal scams. Who in return have contributed huge amounts of money to get Barry Boy, where he is today.

Doesn’t matter to them one fr’n bit, that we will not support a man who has lied and flip-flopped on just about every issue he has ran on.

Doesn’t matter one fr’n bit to them. that we will not support a man who has played the race card from day one, to cause tention, hate, fear, for the sole purpose of dividing our country.

Doesn’t matter one fr’n bit to them, that we will not support a man who attacked and condoned the attacks on Sen.& Pres. Clinton.

Doesn’t matter one fr’n bit to them, that the future of our country, our world, our children are way more important to us than a POLITICAL party.

Doesn’t matter one fr’n bit to them, that they insult us daily , attack our intelligence, all for the good of the party.

I along with many others, have defended Hillary, Rendell, the ones who we believed, were doing what they “had to do” for the good of the party.

I say NO more, NO more excuses. There comes a time when they ALSO have to do, and speak up for what is best for our country, our world, our children. And not what is in the best interest of themselves and the “good” of the party !!!

It occurred to me this morning that the Republicans have gone extremely right and the Democrats have gone extremely left. Why is it that we DON’T have a party for moderates? I’m not sure about the term “centrist” but I do consider myself a moderate. It seems to me that moderation in all things is a good thing. How is it really possible to run a country without a middle position?

To prove how emphatically we say PartyUnity,MyAss! and JustSayNoDeal and Hell,Obama’sUnqualified!NoDeal! to Ed Rendell and anyone else who dares to tell us to turn to an authoritarian party, we are asked to put our money where our many, many mouths are. If as JBrown on politicallydrunk calculates, we are 4,000,000, if just half of us give $10.00 to PUMA and $10.00 to McCain, imagine what media power we can generate. My husband and I have given $120 to PUMA and $35 to Hillary to retire her debt. And I am sending $10.44 to John McCain; my husband is not ready yet for this step which means McCain has more work to do to win over all of he needs. (The $.44 is to remind McCain that I am a supporter of Hillary “the 44th President” and if she should win in August, I return to her.) If everyone could do at least $5.00, our power would magnify tremendously.

Everone make sure Fox News is aware about this.I got on the Move On email list when I signed up for my free shreddable BOmPUS sticker. So I got this email today today. Give me a break! Now the Obamanation is trying to censor Fox. Fox is the only one of the major news channels that is actually providing “fair and balanced” coverage on the hijacking of the Democratic Primary and is the only news outlet that attempts to hold Obama accountable.

And please, after how the Obama camp and the rest of the mainstream media vicioulsy attacked Hillary Clinton , Move On has some nerve crying foul play. But hey, that’s how it’s been this entire election cycle. They’re still playing that damn race card.

Won’t do them any good. As I’ve said before we hold the Ace in the hole- to the tune of millions of votes that will send this pretender back to Chicago where he belongs.

    Dear MoveOn member,
Right now, FOX is trying to paint Barack Obama as foreign, un-American, suspicious, and scary. They’re trying to send Americans the message that our country’s first viable black candidate for President is not “one of us.”

We’ve seen this before from FOX. They won’t stop until it becomes too painful to continue—until the public calls them out and advertisers start getting worried.

Now is the time to draw a line in the sand by putting FOX on notice that their behavior won’t be tolerated. Over 100,000 Americans have already expressed their outrage. Can you make that number even bigger by adding your name to this message?

“FOX must stop injecting racism, prejudice, and fear into our political dialogue. We intend to hold FOX, its advertisers, and its personalities accountable for FOX’s attempts to smear the Obamas.”

FOX’s longtime pattern of smearing Obama and the black community is well documented.1 But the outrageous moments have increased in the last month.

First, a paid FOX commentator accidentally confused “Obama” with “Osama” and then joked on the air about killing Obama.2 Next, a FOX anchor said a playful fist bump by Barack and Michelle Obama could be a “terrorist fist jab.”3 And then, FOX called Michelle Obama “Obama’s baby mama”—slang for an unmarried mother of a man’s child, and a clear attempt to associate the Obamas with negative stereotypes about black people.4

If you know others who’d find FOX’s recent actions despicable, please ask them to sign the petition too. The more people who sign, the bigger our impact will be.

Our friends at ColorOfChange.org—an online advocacy group focused on the issues of importance to the black community—are leading this charge. They will deliver thousands of petition signatures as a group to FOX’s headquarters (in front of other media cameras, so FOX feels more heat). Here’s how they describe the situation:

After each of the incidents mentioned [above], FOX issued some form of weak apology. But what does it mean when you slap someone in the face, apologize the next day, then slap them again? It means the apology is meaningless.
Now is the time to call out FOX for these attacks and their fake apologies. The first stop is FOX. Next will be their advertisers and the FCC. If we don’t push back now, we will see more of the same from now until November. Please join us to demand that FOX answer for its behavior:

Nobody ever apologized to Hillary Clinton for anything. I say we get our opwn petition going to show our support for FOX and neutralize this blatant attempt at censoring the last dissident voice on the TV.

Off topic but I got this from the JUST SAY NO DEAL site:

Dear Just Say No Deal People:

I just found out about you through the WaPo
article. My congrats. I like your attitude.
    For the record, I’m a straight, middle-aged
white guy (who supports gay rights) who has
    twin teen-age daughters. I’m also a MSM
journalist who left after more than 20 years to
    go freelance.

During this election cycle, my initial choice was
John Edwards. After he dropped out, I was
eager to see who would most closely adopt
John’s populist, anti-corporate positions. To my
surprise, it was Hillary! As the primary
dragged on, I found myself liking Hillary more
and more, and Barack less and less. It had
nothing to do with race and gender, and
everything to do with actual issues.

As a former MSM guy, I’d like to share some
insights you don’t see on many blogs. Since the
1970s, the media have been rabid about
affirmative action. So every newsroom in
America — print, broadcast, and web — is
heavily populated with people of color. On the
surface, there’s nothing wrong with that. The
problem is, a lot of these newbies aren’t
    professional journalists. They’re professional
blacks (or whatever), and they’re extremely
militant about promoting the interests of their
race/ethnicity. They scare the shit out of their
    white colleagues, male and female.

I’m convinced that these white colleagues —
regardless of their own leanings — are so eager
to “get along” and “not offend” that they’ve
been intimidated into supporting Obama. The
result: monolithic media support for Obama.
Between now and November, be assured that
you will see nothing but wet kisses for Obama
from the MSM. It’s going to be “elect Obama
    or else” 24/7.

As you might guess, I have a personal axe to
grind here. Despite a master’s from the
    ultra-liberal Columbia University Graduate
School of Journalism — and scads of writing
awards — I simply could not advance in the
MSM. They were more interested in promoting
the likes of Jayson Blair, the 20-something
black NYT reporter who ended up fabricating
    dozens of stories.

But who cares? Freelancing rocks, the MSM
is doomed, and I enjoy the independent,
    PUMA thinkers.

    As a guy who’s voted Democrat since ’72, I’m
not willing to throw my support to McCain. At
this point, however, I don’t think a protest vote
for Nader is a bad idea.
    Sincerely,
    - Rick, former MSM Journalist

They that back Obama, will NOT be able to control Obama. Obama has other plans (control by asserting the Nation of Islam et al) and will toss them all under the bus as soon as he gets elected. If he gets elected.
His cross over voters are gone and the kids have moved onto other things now. That was a very weak 50 state strategy huh?
Obama needs Hillary badly. Any promises that he is making to Hillary will not be kept either.

the best way to achieve the changes she has fought so hard to bring to America, and on which she based her campaign, is to support Sen. Obama…”

We don’t believe Obama will honor his own word. He is pandering to Hillary to get her help. He has no intention to work with Hillary in the senate to push the things that are important to her and us.

This is not a white against Black or a gender issue.
It’s a fight against nominating a known cocaine user heavily into emplying Black Theology Religion for leading the country…and..
against the DNC cheating the vote right out from under our noses and making the presumptive nominee out of an unqualified candidate.

Removing States that heavily favor Hillary is not the way we play. We will not support the DNC cheating ways. We are fighting for Democracy.

If the diebold machines count all write in votes for Hillary as a vote for Obama..It’s a one line code and you’ll be sorry.
It’s important to cast a protest vote..we’ll have to live with it for 4 years..Obama wouldn’t be better than jmac anyway.

And Donna Brazille will not find her joy when this is all over..but we will find our Joy..right Donna? We are looking for our Joy as you suggested. Country before Party.
    Vote out Pelosi.
Help Cindy Sheehan and her grassroots signature gathering campaign in district 8 in San Fran.
She is not what she seems.
Please keep an opened mind and know she intends to fight for the constitution..that’s her passion.

I was going to become an independent voter until PUMA and Just Say No Deal came on line. The DNC will come to know us in November and recognize the Errors of Their Ways. I would like to see the JSND movement become a 527 group to advertise before the election. This way we can become even stronger.

Go to : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JzR7clODiUg to see what this man has to say about the bill.

Also, 845 BILLION dollars will be given to the UN for global poverty. I’m not against helping the poor. However, I’m against giving the UN money to spread across the world. Remember the food for oil program scandal. I wouldn’t trust the UN to manage my garbage let alone 845 BILLION dollars of the US’s money.

As far as the Rolling Stone and other liberal news outlets endorsing Obama, I believe there is a correlated effort to get this bum elected. Obama is nothing but a THUG, a bully and a liar who will say anything to any one to get elected.

Rendell and the Dem establishment don’t understand that revolutions start with small groups which believe in something profound, as do we who are PUMAs and the Just Say No Dealers. I’m rather sure that those ‘in power’ have always been surprised at how effective these groups can be (and have been), and they have only themselves to blame when their roof caves in.
My vote will always remain mine alone and frankly, I could care less if the other side labels me as racist because I won’t support Obama. When we stop reacting to that label, and it no longer has the effect they want, perhaps they’ll stop throwing it around so flagrantly.

Obama did not ruin this country. This country was ruined because we did not fight to keep bush out of office, and because of greed. Obama is trying to improve our lives and save this country.Personally I am not sure we can be saved because I believe that fate is set in stone. However we have to try. According to CNN,right now the present administration is planning a preemptive strike on Iran. It will cause WWIII if it happens. Women will be drafted, and we will not win.As a prophetess I can assure you that this could happen. My family can attest to the fact that I forsaw the floods and devastation that is presently occurring.I also have seen other strange signs. Now is the time to look beyond things that we can see and realize that there is something bigger going on here.

I don’t understand why Gov Ed Rendell came up with this nonsence. Hillary Clinton is the better choice and let me say something LATINOS that went with Hillary are now going to McCain!!!. Gov Ed Rendall can’t and should spaek for the Latinos Community. The Latinos in PA, NY, NJ, AZ, NM, CO, CT, FL, MI, And OH will go to McCain. The difference between OBAMA and McCain is that John McCain is a true hero to this great nation of ours. Another fact is even if OBAMA puts Hillary on the Ticket THE Hispanic Community will not support OBAMA only Hillary. So Gov Rendell once again don;t try to speak for the Latinos. We the Puertorican people love Hillary but can’t stand OBAMA. That is why the Latinos will let the DEM Leaders that Hillary Clinton was the better choice and you guys blew it for her. So Puma Please let not support OBAMA!!!!!! no Deal!!!!!!

…Pelosi and Reid that have to to the checking and balancing. When our leaders in congress grow something resembling a spine

They aren’t spineless they are complicit. The only people they are willing to stand up to is us, they think they can do anything they want, and we have to just take it. Well so far we have. Remember Harry Reid’s phony filibuster? They funded the war completely, they took impeachment off the table, they are giving telecoms immunity.

But they all yelled at Hillary to get out of their race, and now they are setting the dogs on us. They raced to the microphone when Bush said something about Obama and left us hanging in the breeze when someone called us clingy racists.

Well, Obama might have driven off the women, gays, Latinos, working class, Jews, and poor whites, but at least he’s got the nutjob vote.

A hound would be no match for my little cat, much less a big one. My vet techs have to wear heavy leather gloves to handle my little house cat.

Cats are sweet and soft when they’re being treated right. But abuse them or piss them off and God help you.

God help you, Senator Rendell. If you’re just doing this for show, to help Hillary appear to tow the line, my hat’s off to you. But please don’t join Borat’s team…despite what the AP says, I think Ed O’Reilly’s got a good chance. In the same article, the AP contradicts itself:

Although few give O’Reilly anything more than long shot odds at defeating Kerry, the 55-year-old lawyer and former firefighter from the fishing village of Gloucester has already scored one victory.

    Yet…

Earlier this month, O’Reilly received the backing of about 23 percent of delegates at the annual state Democratic convention – despite an effort by Kerry supporters to deny him the 15 percent needed to get a spot on the ballot.

“John Kerry and his campaign worked so hard from the top down in order to squelch my candidacy and I still came out with nearly one out of four of the party insiders,” he said. “That says a lot about how people feel about John Kerry.”

A recent poll found 51 percent of people who have voted in previous general elections said it’s time to give someone other than Kerry a chance, while 38 percent said the senator deserves to be re-elected. Nine percent were undecided, and 2 percent didn’t respond. The Suffolk University/WHDH-TV poll of 500 Massachusetts voters was conducted during June 8-10 and had a margin of error of plus or minus 4.4 percentage points.

How stupid does the AP think we are? We can do the math: Even with the undecideds, that’s 51-32 who want to give “someone else” a chance. Even with the margin of error, “someone else” is still ahead.

Kerry supporters note the poll didn’t mention O’Reilly. They also say the 23 percent of delegates O’Reilly won at the Democratic convention included pro-Hillary Clinton activists upset with Kerry’s support of Barack Obama.

And here’s the important part! No one mentioned O’Reilly AND us “pro-Hillary Clinton activists” were probably a big part of O’Reilly’s delegates. We love you Ed, you did a lot for Hillary. You said your peace, now you need to back off. Us Hillary supporters are more active, more aware and more willing to give our votes and open our purse strings than anyone ever imagined.

  • fif

    Susan I could kiss you!

“We fervently believe in Country Before Party. If political parties won’t uphold core democratic principles, who will? If the voters don’t hold the parties accountable, who will?”

THANK YOU for emphasizing the fundamental mission statement for Just Say No Deal! I’ve been repeating this in comments lately–that this key principle is not being stated clearly in all Puma interviews. It is easier for our coalition to belittled and dismissed if we do not base the movement on this principle. Media bias, sexism, BO’s inexperience, poor judgment, weak character, hypocrisy, and unethical tactics are all important considerations, but the underlying (and non-negotiable) element is the violation of democratic principles upon which the party and country are built.

That is what they do not understand and keep asking, “But his policies are like Hillary’s, and McCain’s are opposite–why won’t you support him?” You cannot betray the party principles to engineer a result (Obama as nominee) and then ask us to endorse the selected nominee who will supposedly uphold those principles! It’s ass backwards. As you said, “too late–damage is done.” There is nothing to discuss or forgive. Hence…

    NO DEAL!

I got on the Move On email list when I signed up for my free shreddable BOmPUS sticker.

There was nothing that could be done to fight Bush, the fix was in. Americans accepted the ruling from the SC, they didn’t like it but they accepted it.

    Then they vowed never again.

Then that spineless coward Kerry claimed he would fight if anything was wrong with the vote. He folded up in day and is the only one who could bring a suit.

So, when we see the Dems and the MSM pulling a fast one trying to install another person, like the Reps did.

YOU should be concerned, since it is the same media that sold you Dubya and the Iraq war, and is starting to sell this Iran thing in the same way.

Obama voted to continue funding Halliburton….and Halliburton is who sold Iran the centrifuges needed to enrich the uranium. The GAO has reported that we sold jet parts to planes that only Iran flies indicating another behind the scenes deal. And that the rhetoric is for the world stage. Much like the when the Iran/Contra scandal was going on.

Once again, you should be aware, your belief in Obama relies on the same media that has lied to you repeatedly. Because if you had the gift you would know what a grifter he is already. ;)

Anyway, Israel is rattling sabers…and so has the US for months on end.

But Obama doesn’t have the political juice to stop an Iranian war….if it is indeed more than rhetoric.

To think he does is naive.

I went to DC on May 31st for the Count Every Vote rally because I am a hard working mother with a college degree holding 2 jobs who was appalled at the undemocratic tactics used to oust Clinton from her rightful position as the Democratic nominee. I am a regular person with no means to set up a website, etc but this one and so many others have given me a voice against this corruption. Rendell should be talking about the diry way Clinton was treated by the DNC and the media not trying to “make it all better.” It’s done no one can reverse what just happened. Obama is the wrong, worse candidate at this time with no qualifications. I have no doubt that his people were behind the vandalism in Florida since they have already said we are senile old ladies standing by Clinton. And I do think leaving PUMA cards behind is an obvious attempt to make Clinton supporters look as if they could do such a thing. How obvious, how like Obama and his followers. If this is so …

One last point – HOUND is not anti-PUMA. We agree with many of your grievances. Forcing people to declare their preference in public also violates another cherished principle that undermines our democracy.

So, we are asking all PUMA members to curb your disappointment, mute your anger and frustration and join HOUND to help change America. While the PUMA may be more swift and athletic, the HOUND is smarter and more perceptive.

Then you SHOULD understand why I say …

And we know you know that we arent going to vote for that manufactured polishitician from chicago.

Obama’s support is as strong as its ever going to get, the only way to go is down for them and they know it!!!

He is going to lose in november.

    You can count on it.

And when he is relegated to a footnote in political history, which is all his two faced lieing makebelieve unqualified ass deserves, a new DNC will be reborn.

Your time is nearly over Barry, Donna James, Howard and all the other turds that have hoisted this phoney balogna on the Democratic party.

I can’t wait to watch you all sink like stones in the political pond for what you did this primary season.

Hopefully you take that pompous ass Olbermann with you. He is just like you, and ignorant unqualified moron with too much mouth and not ineough brain.

I told every news agency who interviewed me in Unity that I was voting for McCain, my first vote ever for a Republican, but I noticed so far only one quote in an article…they quoted the woman next to me instead, who said she’s going to write-in her vote for Hillary.

They have their storyline in advance and look for quote to fit it. Their narrative now is that there are all these older women with “tattered” Hillary placards who are “too sad” at the moment….but who will come back to the fold later on.

Then they’ll be shocked when McCain wins. They are also forgetting men…there are many upset Democrats of the male gender.

Oh, and I didn’t see any mention of the fact that the town of Unity was blanketed with McCain signs. lol

  • Mr. X

Why do I get the impression that Ed Rendell knew exactly what kind of rection his comments would get? With him and Bill and Hillary and Ferraro, it’s like they can’t officially say that they don’t want us to vote for him, but it semes pretty clear the message they are sending us. Don’t vote BHO!

  • http://marcysmutiny.blogspot.com MessyMarcy

It is our duty as citizens to fight for our democracy as if this were I last opportunity to savie it from those who want to destroy it. Who can predict to what extent the consequences will be, if they are able to “cheat” BO into the presidency and have their way with our precious rights.

I think “as if this were” is not accurate. Considering all the harm Bush has done, this probably is our last chance to save democracy as we know it. Obama has the same arrogance, incompetence and lack of ethics that Bush has. And, as you point out, just as no one dreamed how harmful the Bush Presidency would be to the country, who can predict the consequences of what would amount to one or two more terms of the same, which is exactly what Obama would be.

  • JoseyJ

Obama is a user – of people and things. Then tosses them aside when they no longer benefit him.
imho – Obama doesn’t know how to handle power and as president, it’s likely he’d continue throwing people aside.

The racist charge has backfired on them big time. The biggest worry for them is that the Dem faction against Obama has become organised. It’s like anything that’s organised. It scared the powers that be. If you really want to scare them even more, the No Deal Coalition should try to get all its members to vote for McCain (or at least make the case for it). If that happens, you’ll see panic set in from the Obama camp.

Thank you Rick. I made an observation before on another blog about how black journalists seem overrepresented and how I cringe when there is a political report and all I see is black faces because I know what they are going to say already. I agree. Let’s not throw out the baby with the bath water. It is right to critique Rendell’s unity call on its points, but it is foolishly wrong to treat him like the enemy, especially when we know he is in a difficult situation.

How many speeches did Ted Kennedy make supporting Jimmy Carter?

  • hootnannie

I’m sure it tastes like dust in his mouth for Rendell to force himself to be the party “loyalist” and say anything positive about Obama–even if indirect vis-a-vis unity. His words, as well as those of Hillary, sound empty even on paper. And the choice of HOUND is unwise, because–as my husband says–dogs are unconsciously identified with the masculine and cats with the feminine. Maybe Rendell realized the irony in the acronym and is secretly chuckling with glee. Anyway, a puma could usually best a dog in a fight. One would certainly send a jackass running for dear life! And what animal could possibly do in a puma? Hmmm…an elephant, I guess. Or, to the clarion call of a hero like Tarzan, they could join forces to defeat the forces of evil.

I decorated my car with PUMA and “selected not elected” signs when I parked at the UNITY rally. I was a little nervous, thinking someone might vandalize it, but I went ahead.

When I came back, a small crack in my windshield that had been too small to bother about had been lengthened and forked somehow. It had a starburst added to it, and instead of one short line, it forked off at an angle, as if someone had taken aim to hit the windshield right at that point.

Well, at least now it’s large enough to warrant getting the windshield replaced.

    Dear DPilsner,

Typical of you somewhat educated ad hominem hominids, you call reasoned indignation, among a mutlicultural mixing pot of citizens, “caucasian rage.”

You naively think the race card is trump, because you do not recognize that its overusage has changed the game. Now, those who use it are recognized as playing jokers, not trump players. They have no moral force because their immorality negates their claims. Describing non-racists as racists is an immoral act. Your immorality negates your claims. Your smug assault befits the paucity of intellect and integrity that signify the work of the Obama campaign and its lackeys. Thank you for offering one more grain of sand to the desert of reasons for not supporting your candidate.

    Yours,
    Steven

Repair the damage that has been done NOW. Have Pelosi tells the supers, again, to vote with “the Will of the People”. Nothing is more representative of the “Will of the People” than the People’s Votes.

Here is my letter to my PA governor…

    Dear Gov. Rendell,

You are a good guy; I respect you and appreciate all that you did to help Senator Clinton win PA. I worked hard as well, Gov. Rendell. I changed from a registered Republican to Democrat in order to vote for HRC. I made sure my immediate family members were registered Democrats and my college age daughter registered to vote and ensured she attended Chelsea Clinton’s rally at SRU, she in turn talked to her friends and convinced at least a few to vote for HRC. I took four personal days to work on the campaign. I opened my home as a go-between campaign office (between Butler and Beaver Co.). I helped coordinate the GOTV efforts in this part of Butler Co. I personally knocked on hundreds of doors in all parts of this county, passed out material, called volunteers, provided food and materials to poll workers, made 100 phone calls to in and out of state voters. My husband also made dozens of phone calls to local residents (particularly the male ones), attended rallies in OH, at the Soldiers and Sailors Hall in PGH, and at the local Y to see Bill Clinton. I sent out numerous letters and e-mails to the editor to papers in all parts of the country, to Super Delegates, and to various op-ed writers (my personal quota was to send at least two letters or make two phone calls a day since January). I personally thanked (and received a response from) Richard Mellon Scaife for his Editorial in the Tribune Review. I endured ridicule and family strife during Easter dinner and family gatherings but managed to get at least TWO public confirmations from my Republican registered family members that they would definitely vote for HRC in the GE. I donated over $600.00 to HRC’s campaign (no small amount for someone who makes less than $60K a year and whose husband was just laid off). I risked possible issues at work by proudly displaying my Hillary for President bumper sticker and pin on my purse, but managed to start many conversations on my breaks and lunch hour regarding the issues that are important to us all.

I will however, not be doing ANY of this to help elect Senator Obama. I cannot and will not compromise my principles or beliefs for the sake of party unity. Only a person of non-conviction would do so. He is a fraud and a charlatan. He would not even qualify for a low level national security clearance based on his associations with convicted criminals and shady characters. I could not possibly cast my vote for him let alone in any way support this person to be the leader of the free world! I have not yet decided what will be more effective in the fall, voting for McCain or not voting at all (I honestly do not think I will have to work against Senator Obama in Butler County, he will do that all by himself!). I will however be personally working against any super delegate (Jason Altmire and Sen. Bob Casey in particular) who either endorsed Sen. Obama or remained silent during the primary. This because their reasoning (he is inspiring or because my kids badgered me), is so completely ridiculous and such a demonstration of their POOR judgment that it cannot go without public protest!

    Respectfully,

Obama’s a cheap imitation of the genuine article as always.

  • s. hall

scathcart — I am furious that without any information the media is already saying that it was PUMA who damaged all those cars. The media has been focusing on the articule women who will not vote for BO so now he has to make it look like PUMA and other groups who are against him are subversive. We are novices — this group that controls Obama knows exactly what it wants and they will destroy anyone to get it.

It’s not racist to assume everyone here is white? “Caucasian rage?” That’s funny.

  • s. hall

tory — I really enjoyed your comment. I do the same. If I am in the other room and I hear his voice I sing really loud so I can’t hear him. I have never seen a Democratic Candidate I have felt so negative about. If you and I feel this way there must be millions more.

  • s. hall

Have any of you contacted McCain’s headquarters to ask his people what we should do to show our support for him? I am curious how much they care about PUMA and the other groups supporting him.

  • Hope Floats

Wexler is up for reelection this year. Floridian Dems should tell him to go to hell.

  • PKJayne

Rendell just made my Dead-to-Me Dem list. Barry has shown arrogance and entitlement since the last primary. I can’t wait until Barry starts bossing all the Dems around, he sure does think it is his party now. Well, he can have it. I think what we are seeing is a splintering into a third party and the DNC has to be quaking in their boots.

  • Judy A.

I won’t vote for Obama. BUT, I do want to wait to see who McCain picks as a VP before I decide to vote for him. If he picks Jeb Bush…forget it!!!

I didn’t hate Mitt Romney, so I really hope he does pick him.

    Fantastic letter!

Lucinda — thanks for the great post. McConaha God Bless You. So there’s more than us out there. Obama can’t attack everyone who goes for McCain. Or if he does perhaps ordinary people who support him will wonder why he feels entitled to be President.

Jeremiah — We are winning but Obama is not going to sit still and let us eat his lunch. This attack on 60 cars in Orlando Florida shows he wants to marginalize Hillary and PUMA as another hate group. We are dealing with a thug who will do anything to get an advantage even destroy 60 cars. Hopefully there are witnesses. Obama will play hardball and he will make sure that no PUMA members gets on the MSM in the future.

I agree. Maybe Rendell is really trying to get us to see he is really agreeing with us. His whole first plea is about how many things they(his hound group) did wrong for heaven’s sake and how they know that anad it should be changed. Why point that out so explicitly? But the main reason I think that it’s all a veneer concept, is the name he (not sure if he picked it but he must have agreed to it) chose–HOUND– is about as lame as you can get. PUMA has power and grace and fierceness to it, when you think of the animal it represents. No offense to dogs, but HOUND as a counter attack? Huh?! I think the message is clear that he knows the game and is playing it with double entendres. JMHO. Go Pumas.

You ain’t nothin but a hound dog, been snooping round my door
You ain’t nothin but a hound dog, been snooping round my door
You can wag your tail but Lord I ain’t gonna feed you no more

You told me you were high class, but I can see through that
You told me you were high class, but I can see through that
And daddy I know you ain’t no real cool cat

You ain’t nothin but a hound dog, been snooping round my door
You ain’t nothin but a hound dog, been snooping round my door
You can wag your tail but Lord I ain’t gonna feed you no more

You made me feel so blue, you made me weep and moan
You made me feel so blue, you made me weep and moan
You ain’t looking for a woman,
Lord knows what you’re looking for

You ain’t nothin but a hound dog, been snooping round my door
You ain’t nothin but a hound dog, been snooping round my door
You can wag your tail but Lord I ain’t gonna feed you no more

I just listened to Ralph Nader on ABC–he makes some very interesting points-especially on health care–I know, I know, Nader is laughed at by main stream politians–but maybe we as a nation need to listen to what third party candidates are saying–I to have been amused by Nader but he has some interesting points. Remember the mainstream media makes fun of him–but NBC and CNN (in particular) also made fun of Hillary.

We have talked about the fragile state of our Democracy–don’t we owe it to our country and ourselves to reveiw all information about all candidates.

Like so many I worked volunteered for Hillary each night after work-and on weekends- I would go to her head quarters and work –I have been a Democrat leaning Independent for years and only registared as a Dem to vote for Hillary –I will be returning to my independent status.

I will look at all the candidates and eventually choose one–I will work for them not with the conviction –I did for Hillary–. My conviction and passion is to work against Obama. –Hillary remains the best candidate but, for now, she does not appear to be an option–

I will never be a HOUND -who ever choose the PUMA as our mascot did a fantastic job–think of a PUMA, graceful, smart, sleek, beautiful to watch,
NOW think of a HOUND–big ears, kind of dumb looking, and drooling. No thank you Gov. Rendell

Please do not stay at home this November–look at the choices: Barr; McCain, Nader– look at their platform–choose the one that best reflects your believes and values. Please to not stay at home and do not vote for Obama this November–we have already had one narcisist in the White House for eight years we do not need nor can we afford Obama.

No amount of begging, cajoling, pandering OBAMA or his surrogates do, the Latino Community, with the exeption of those politician will not vote for OBAMA in the gerneral election. Hillary Clinton Latinos Support will not support OBAMA even if she ask then to do. History already know that Black and Hispanic are always in War that is a fact and I am very SAD to say that but that is the truth. That is like saying the Israelis and palestinians will msign a permanent peace treaty. Normally Hispanic people are Dem but this time they will vote for McCain. John McCain always says Country before Party!!! And I respect that truly. I thought the Dem party was for country but they sold out. I supported Hillary but I won’t support OBAMA. Even if Hillary is on the Ticket the Hispanic community will still support McCain. Another where are those media getting those polls about Hispanic for OBAMA Not True!!!!!!!

It always amazes me how hard it is for many men (and because of conditioning, women) cannot ever allow themselves to openly praise a woman for her work, but at the drop of a hat can praise men without restraint for the smallest thing.

Case and point — BO! He gets so much praise for having done so little. But no one calls them on it, except PUMA people. There are even some who compare him and his work as equal to Hillary’s!

The power elite (which is predominantly white men) have gone to extreme lenghs to keep Hillary from becoming our president. I can’t help but believe that one of the reasons is because she would have raised the bar so high for anyone aspiring to be president requiring anyone who ran after her to actually be “qualified”!

    The Presumptive Uniter, Not Divider
    Posted by geeklove08 on June 17, 2008

The presumptive “uniter, not divider” Obama is not “going to spend a lot of time in the next few months wooing Clinton supporters whose feelings may be hurting“; however, here’s a link to a video of McCain’s campaign chair Carly Fiorina reaching out to Clinton women.

I just noticed the no to puma petition.lol too funny. I read though, that some of our sites are being shut down. I hope this one is not touched, as this is my daily up-to date news blog. lol. Who needs a newspaper.

    Keep up the good postings.

I’d like to hear something positive for Hillary, getting to be on the role call at the convention,or Fitzgerald makes some more arrests in Chicago,
I want Obama to give Hillary Michigan, what was rightfully hers.
I want to see Hillary the nominee.

Am I asking for too much?

Rendell was interviewed tonite on Fox,He said,If Obama is elected he wouldn’t want to be part of Obama’s administration, until 2011. He wants to finish his job first. The expression on his face, said it all. imo. Something is not right imo,he wasn’t the smiley face Rendell when he was supporting Clinton. Another thing Puma has going is Nader is also in this race, and could also be taking votes against Obama, and that would help Puma, with our votes going to Mccain.Nader has been spoilers in two other elections. He spoiled Gore winning the election in 2000,and I think Kerry’s in 2004.

Your statement “Blacks and Latinos have a history of hate. Sorry but that’s reality! IS NOT TRUE. The problem is mostly between Mexican Americans and African Americans on the west coast (CA,AZ) due to gangs, illegal immigration, and the fact that AA feel that they are taking their jobs. To claim that ALL LATINOS/HISPANICS are racist is absurd;we come from different countries. The reason Senator Obama will not get our vote is because he is a fraud and we know BS when we see it.

  • http://www.lesstalkmoreactivism.blogspot.com whoframedrudy

With all respect to Hillary, the best way to wreck this country is to let the Democrats turn into a radical left wing mirror image of what Bush radicals have done to the Republican Party!

And with all respect to Ed Rendell, a HOUND is an obedient, domesticated animal that takes kindly to the leash and the collar. Just try putting a leash around a PUMA’s neck!

Master says ‘fetch, boy!’ PUMA says ‘go fetch it ya damn self!’

“History already know that Black and Hispanic are always in War that is a fact and I am very SAD to say that but that is the truth.”

What history? Your own? I don’t appreciate been called a racist. Hispanics come from different countries so to claim that ALL are racist is not only absurd considering our history, but offensive.

The “war” that you are referring to is mostly between Mexican Americans and African Americans on the west coast & southwest(CA,AZ)and is due to illegal immigration, gangs, and the fact that AA feel they are taking their jobs. I know because I live in CA.

Senator Obama will not get the Hispanic/Latino vote because he is a FRAUD and a BIGOT.

“PUMA” (PARTY UNITY MY ASS) AND “JUST SAY NO DEAL” ARE TWO OF THE TOOLS REPUBLICANS ARE USING TO DISHONOR BARACK OBAMA

AS A LIFE-LONG DEMOCRAT, I DEEPLY RESENT ANY ATTEMPT ON THE PART OF GROUPS WHO CALL THEMSELVES DEMOCRATS WHEN, IN FACT, THEY ARE SURREPTITIOUS ARMS OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY, TO SABOTAGE OBAMA’S CAMPAIGN FOR THE WHITE HOUSE

We have all heard and read about the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth that is a group of disgruntled veterans of the Viet Nam war who were angry with John Kerry for returning home, organizing veterans against the war, testifying before the Congress on atrocities undertaken by our troops and toured the country to convince the American people, the President and the Congress to pull out of war we could not win.
Because Kerry had won several metals for bravery, i.e. three Purple Hearts, two Silver Stars and a Bronze Star, when Kerry was nominated for the presidency by the Democratic Party, this group of discontents through the leadership of Jerome Scorci wrote a book of lies and deceptions against the nominee for President of the United States. Entitled, Unfit to Lead, the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, ran ads accusing Kerry of receiving undeserved metals and honors and then turning his back on his fellow veterans and his country by cursing the very war that had honored him without cause. Corci, who is a well known trouble maker, is a right-wing Republican without either the credentials or the principles to conduct an honorable campaign undertook a multi-million dollar crusade to defeat Kerry and elect a man of his own ilk, George W. Bush.
Corci is at again. This time he has come out with another book of fabrications, deceit and falsehoods about Barack Obama, the African American Democrat who won the nomination for president. Corci is a well-known right winger. He insists that he is a member of the Constitution Party and endorses neither Obama nor John McCain; however, the campaign which he again will finance through the efforts of a group of wealthy men primarily from Texas, are an integral part of the military-industrial complex.
This time, he is joined by two groups who call themselves Democrats, but because of their tactics and their falsifications are seeking to achieve the same results that Corsi is attempting to reach—the defeat of the Democratic nominee for president.
Dara Murphy and Will Bowers representing PUMA and JUST SAY NO DEAL appeared on Hardball this past week were really given the old one-two by David Shuster. He had his facts together and he silenced some of the absurd comments both Murphy and Bowers were spewing out as truth.
I am a life-long Democrat who has run for Congress, chaired committees for JFK, was offered an appointment by JFK and more or less remained out of the political fray until Barack Obama came along. Since I live in Illinois seven months out of the year and Florida for five months, I consider Obama my Senator and having seen him work up close, this is one of the most brilliant minds I have seen in the political arena since JFK.
I spent three days with Kennedy when he was the Junior Senator from Massachusetts and from that time on became an active Democrat. Some of you are holding out for Hillary are simply hitting the nail squarely on the thumb.
I am 71 years old and I believe deeply that Hillary lost the nomination by her behavior and the behavior of Bill and her staff. Hillary muddied the water with several un-Democratic tactics that angered me. Her demeanor and her tactics forced me to drop my support for her and seriously back Obama. In the Midwest and South, the love for Hillary and Bill has been seriously diluted by their behavior in the last months of the primaries.
The demand that Michigan and Florida be counted for her is absurd. Simply because her campaign staff failed to play ball in the caucus states demonstrates to me the utter arrogance which she displayed from the beginning by insisting she would have this thing wrapped up by February, 2008.
In Florida and Illinois there are millions of Hillary Haters. I did not understand their position for some time, but after she began to play the games, I became less and less committed to her candidacy.
In other words, Hillary lost this campaign pure and simple and she has nobody else to blame. It was not the media, or Obama’s campaign; it was her own mismanagement of her campaign that disillusioned many of us who were former supporters.
This nation cannot afford another four years of George Bush and John McCain is not, as some Hillary Democrats are claiming, a liberal. He has supported 95% of George W. Bush’s policies and since he became the “presumptive Republican nominee,” he has flipped flopped on what to me as a Democrat are key issues.
He supports a war which I believe with all my heart was one of the biggest mistakes of this century.
He wants to continue the tax cuts that favored the rich by 75% and left the middle class and poor with crumbs.
He does not support universal health care which is literally killing thousands of Americans each year (According to the Medical professional about 125,000 die each year from inadequate insurance).
He has no plan to rescue the economy from the failure of Bush to manage the nation’s financial crisis. When he took office, Clinton left the nation’s treasury with a surplus and because of he war and the tax cuts, by the time he leaves office after eight years, the deficit will end up approximately $9 trillion dollars in the hole with countries like China owning most of the paper and thereby having the potential to control much of our future.
The man who guided the Clinton economic revitalization was Bob Rubin who is supporting Barack Obama.
Five years in prison and 26 years in the Senate does not make John McCain and expert in foreign affairs and the war against terror. A list of Generals and Admirals a mile long support Obama. Several of the brightest military minds have openly stated that McCain does not have the mental or emotional capacity to lead this nation’s foreign affairs. 26 years of experience in McCain’s case is nothing more the one year of experience 26 times over.
The appointment of judges who see the constitution as a dynamic document that be viewed in the light of the 21st century and the problems we face today, and not in the light of the 18th century when issues were totally different, is a critical issue in this election. McCain has made it perfectly clear that he wants to appoint judges like Scalia, Roberts, Thomas and Alito. Appointments of those types will take this country back 100 years.
McCain has been wrong on Iraq by voting to go into a war we never should have undertaken. He was wrong on Afghanistan which remains the home of Al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden because of the U. S.’s refusal to finish the job there, the headquarters of the terrorists operation has been given time to rebuild and to recruit a totally new body of followers.
McCain is not a liberal and Obama is not a left-wing radical. When Kennedy was president some people who cannot tell right from left or liberal from conservative, labeled him Liberal. John Kennedy leaned to the right more than most Americans believed or understood. For Hillary people to call McCain liberal is an illustration of unmitigated misunderstanding of the meaning of the word.
To have a Democratic controlled Congress and McCain in the White House will accomplish nothing and therefore does nothing but delay for four more years at the very least, the kind of change and progress we so desperately need.
As Mrs. Clinton said, “The differences between Barack Obama and myself pale in comparison with John McCain (McBush)”. You don’t seem to support the issues that Hillary ran on. You don’t seem to respect her call to support the Democratic Party. If you think that John McBush acts to the left and talks to the right, you need to check his voting record? He voted 95% of the time with his party’s leader George Bush.”
One Hillary supporter on the blog Blood Thirsty Liberals made this very perceptive comment: “May God have mercy on this nation if we elect McCain. And for the record I’m a HRC supporter to the end, thus I support the candidate SHE SUPPORTS, DURRRRR. I’m not going to destroy for 8 years everything Hillary had hoped”
One issue that surprises me is the insistence by several die-hard Hillary supporters that she won the popular vote. Dear Friends the only way for Hillary to win the popular vote is to count the votes in the Florida and Michigan and the only way to count the votes of those two states was to rerun the primary.
Remember this: it is the states that determine whether the primary will be repeated because they have to bear the cost of the replay.
Obama’s name was not on the Michigan ballot because he and all other serious candidates followed the dictates of the Democratic National Committee—Hillary flaunted that edict and thereby voided any votes she received in an illegal primary.
Obama could not remove his name from the Florida ballot, but agreed not to campaign there and thus was placed in a vulnerable position.
Because these two states violated the Party’s ruling and changed the dates of their primaries they defiled the Democratic National Committee’s right to run their primaries as they wish.
Those Hillary supporters who believe for one moment that Obama is another Jimmy Carter are simply wrong. When Caroline Kennedy endorsed Obama she said that for the first time since her father was assassinated she has found a candidate in Obama who was just like her father. You Hillary loyalists know as well as I do that the daughter of one our greatest presidents knows better than we who is like her father and who is not.
Another key point for PUMA and JUST SAY NO DEAL, instead of focusing on Rev. Wright and Tony Rezko you should look into McCain’s scandal labeled the KEATING FIVE its contribution to the Savings and Loan fiasco. McCain was involved up to his eyebrows. While you are at it you should take a look at McCain affair with a wealthy young woman while his wife was dying.
After an extensive investigation by the same Republican Prosecutor who prosecuted Scooter Libby, found Obama was not involved in any way in the Rezko indignity. For a Democrat to even bring up the scandal in my opinion is a nearly unforgivable sin.
And for those who wish to know what enhanced the Islamic fundamentalists, look at Reagan’s order to pull our troops out of Lebanon after our base there had been attacked. The Islamists claim that when our soldiers left after the attack on American barracks, they realized that the U. S. was a paper tiger. Carter did not handle the Iran hostage affair in the way it should be handled, but that was not the source of the growth of al Qaeda and the increased influence of Osama bin Laden. Real Democrats would know that.
For a true Democrat to support John McCain who so adamantly “opposes the views that you (as a Democrat) supposedly support…out of vengeance for a perceived slight, is just mind boggling,” according to one blogger writing on Bloodthirsty Liberal.
And finally, if you “feel more comfortable with McCain’ then you are not a Democrat, you are simply confused. You have to understand that there are millions of Democrats who were not going to vote for Hillary, who do not like Hillary and like her less now that she could not or did not run a professional campaign.
I was a former Clinton supporter. I supported her husband during the fraudulent attacks on him by Ken Starr and the right-wing of the Republican Party including McCain who voted for impeachment. I gave money to Hillary’s campaign and supported her until the primaries started. However, I know Obama because he is our Senator here in Illinois and when I first heard him speak and saw that massive turn out he drew, I was converted. He is the closest thing to JFK that has run on the Democratic ticket in my life time.
If you are a Democrat and are even considering voting for John McCain you suffer from short term memory loss.
You have forgotten he voted for and still supports a war that should never have been waged.
You have forgotten the Bush/McCain tax cut for the rich which has thrown our nation into a deep deficit that makes us a debtor nation beholden to China, South Korea, Japan, etc..
You have forgotten that McCain opposes universal health care, wants to privatize Social Security and Medicare, and appoint judges to the Supreme and other Federal Courts with the anachronistic mind-set of Scalia.
You have forgotten that John McCain has endorsed every policy that George W. Bush initiated, in other words, he wants to give us four more years of Bush which the United States of American simply cannot afford.
And most importantly, his unwavering support for the war in Iraq calls into question the veracity of his judgment on matters relating to national security, the war on terrorism and certainly his understanding of economic issues vital to saving this country from bankruptcy.
With over 70% of the American people believing that this once great nation is headed in the wrong direction, short term memory loss could be fatal.
To be honest I am extremely annoyed with PUMA and JUST SAY NO DEAL. If you people play any role in Obama’s defeat, you will be to blame for the loss of one of the potential great presidents and for this country to live through four more years of disaster. I will not soon forget.
And to be quite forthright, I believe both groups were initiated by the Republican Party and John McCain supporters. God help you!

Please do not feel bad for Hillary. She is fine. And if you are not for her party, then you’re for the other side. That’s all it comes down to!

IT is well understood that many people voted for Obama to STOP Hillary and it worked. KARL ROVE TACTICS HAVE HAD GREAT SUCCESS!

There are those whom cheer for Hillary when they would not have ever voted for her, but they are the same masterminds who know what it takes to fuel the fire . . . keep us divided.
It’s how the “families” have been able to stay in CONTROL.

And LADIES, do not let propaganda take hold of your emotions so that you cannot think clearly. Get over the high-heel remark. It’s not that important. Do you really think Obama meant it as a sneer? REALLY? It’s well-known some women love wearing them, while others don’t. You know, sometimes it’s easier in high-heels. For instance, when you’re ballroom dancing. I say this from experience. Other times, it’s difficult . . . like once on my first listing appointment, in the country, and there were no roads. . . just dirt. I learned fast! LOL My point: There are times when it’s appropriate to wear heels and others times when it is not and you have a choice. You don’t have to make it a sexist thing.

A message from one who backed Edwards as to why you members of the “Just say no coalition” should put your feelings aside and vote for Obama.
I was a precinct captain in 2004 and urged the Democrats to stress what could happen to the Supreme CourtB should Bush win. Well it wasn’t and Bush got to pick two Scalia clones, one as the Chief Justice. The next president will chose at least two members of the Court. If he is McCain you can kiss Roe v. Wade goodbye and who knows what other things such a Court could decide.
So for no other reason than to prevent a further turn to the far-right of the Court vote for Obama. Presidents only serve one or two terms but Supreme Court Justices serve for life and their decisions can affect us for years, if not decades.

Those of you who are voting against Obama as a grudge against Hillary not being the nominee, seriously think twice about it. Senator McCain wrote me a letter stating he will reverse ROE V. WADE, among many other things which affect women I voted for John McCain twice and will not do it again….it’s the biggest mistake of my life. Just because I didn’t like my choices! We got George Bush, the WORST EVER! Don’t make the same mistake just because you are mad that Hillary wasn’t the nominee. The Supreme Court Justices will not be pro-women…a whole littany of what will change is that women will go back 50 to 100years of oppression. You have to ask yourself which candidate and which party will reverse what George Bush has inflicted on this country and it isn’t John McCain. Even his campaign startegy is THE SAME…ROVE ATTACK ADS! IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT IN THE WHITE HOUSE? THIS COUNTRY IS HEADING FOR OBLIVION…a slippery slope like the Roman Empire. You have to ask yourself…Are you going to vote against the party that stands for womens’ rights just to hold a grudge? That’s what it sounds like!

“Psst! I never go to a party where I don’t like the host or the theme!”

You and your kind forget one little detail: Whatever you do, a party will be forced upon all of us.

If you don’t “like” (we being touchy-feely no?) imagine how much you’ll hate 4 years of GW version 2.

I believe the members of PUMA and Just Say No Deal Coalition are well-intentioned and passionate about what they believe. I am concerned that their plans to not vote for Obama, largely because of their allegiance to Hillary Clinton, may lead to the election of McCain.

This is very similar to what happened in 2000 when the decision of Ralph Nader and his followers to stay in the race at all costs rather than support Al Gore made the difference in a close election. We are in a similar situation now, where Clinton loyalists may put McCain in the Whitehouse.

I sincerely hope that they take an objective, unemotional look at the historical similarities between this situation and what occurred in 2000, and understand how significant their vote may be. In November we may be talking about how the choice these groups made to support Obama or not was the single biggest factor in deciding this election. Let us hope that we have learned something from the Nader experience.

liz joyce apitimizes what is wrong with the democratic party. This dumb bitch wants obama to pay attention to her, she wants a president who will sit down and have a beer with her, she needs to be courted? This from Boston Mass, needs obama to ask her directly for her vote. Liz, a piece of advice, take those fucked up eyes of yours and open them up and see what an idiot you are. We need a person in the white house who knows how to handle crisis, who is much more intelligent than you or I; not some one you can sit down and have a drink with, not someone like George Dumb dumb Bush. And by the way obama doesn’t need complete idiots like you voting for him, infact your idiocy falls right in line with the republicans, so take your ugly catholic ass and vote for McCain.

Pretty sad that you Obama haters can’t see the bigger picture…

Put McCain in office ..he will load the courts with judges who want to control your bodies!!! Four more years of children without health care and skyrocketing medical bills. More International Corporations pretty much in charge of our government! More Families in Bankruptcy…More Bush status quo…

I am a left leaning Republican who needs health care, wants health care, and has ideologies that don’t always match the democratic party.

…I am switching sides for the wellfare of my family and the future of our country …and now you witches from wherever you came from our going to hold my Country hostage again to the Neo-Con corporations because you have a bitter taste in your mouth?

If McCain wins it will be pretty f***** up for this country and it will be You the “PUMAS” Fault!!! ..(what a joke “PUMA”:this is taking a play from a term that incites subjugation of older woman …so where is the feminism in that?).

Elizabeth Joyce is a nut-job. She made an ass out of herself on CNN a while back and ever since then it is just hilarious to see her spew forth anywhere. Now, I didn’t read any of this stuff on here, but I did see who is listed as part of it. That tell me all I need to know.

    Get a job chubby.
