And Which One Is Lying Here?

A classic case of “She said, he said,” is what we have here, that’s for sure. This next video (courtesy of longtime reader, SFIndie) illustrates the conundrum:

Um, it seems to me that if you happen to be the President of the United States, maybe you could appoint a Fact Checking Czar to go with the other Thirty-One – make a nice even number of it. I’m just saying – when you are giving a speech before Congress, televised all over the nation, it seems the very least he could do is MAKE SURE HIS FACTS ARE CORRECT.

Hey – maybe THAT’S when Rep. Wilson called him a liar! He KNEW Obama was lying about the cancer-stricken patient he was using for political gain. Just a thought.

Not for nothing, but they are using their own daughter to further this debate? Interesting. Funny how they don’t seem to make the connection that they are MILLIONAIRES, most people in this country are NOT, and the illness wasn’t serious (according to Michelle, anyway). Or that they both had jobs at the time – really, really, good jobs. Or that those jobs provided excellent health coverage, the very kind that 87% of employers would work to reduce if this Health Care Reform goes in as defined now. I know, picky, picky, picky…

Anyway, you know, there are plenty of REAL examples from which Obama could choose, I am sure, but honestly – why lie? ABOUT HIS OWN DAUGHTER? Is it just that he hasn’t met a truth he couldn’t corrupt? What’s the deal?

Oh, well. I am sure there will be plenty more examples to examine as his time in office goes on. But for now, I will leave you with this peppy little tune. I’m sure it will stick with you for the next 3 yrs and 4 months:

      There are a number of new release book quotes raising eyebrown here in Washington. The New York Daily News reports that early excerpts of books about first lady Mihelle Obama claim she shot down the idea of Hillary Clinton as a potential vice president, opting instead for Joe Biden.

      Mrs. Obama reportedly asked her husband. “Do you really want Bill and Hillary just down the hall from you in the White House? Could you live with that?”

      Author Christopher Anderson writes Mrs. Obama’s opposition possibly was the deciding factor in the debate. She also advocated for the campaisn slogan. “Yes We Can,” after her husband considered it childish and corny.

      Mrs. Obama persisted, saying: “It will work. Trust me.”

    Obama never fact checks his speeches — the auto was invented in the US & the Arab “world” invented printing, doncha know. The press doesn’t call him on it & the morons who worship at his feet don’t know the difference, so why should he care?

    According to FOX, the White House is planning to take legal action against Humana for distributing a mailer that warns seniors of their losses if this health care goes through.

    If someone has a copy of this, please post it here and we can make sure it reaches more people than if they had kept quiet.

    A commentor on Fox yesterday took the wind out of my sails.
    He said that Obama will serve 8 years, for the same people who did not know why they voted for him this time, will vote for him again! Dang-nab-it! It is probably true!
    Here we are trying to blog him into oblivion, and it seems futile!

      Humana does not think they are doing ANYTHING wrong in advising their patients. As I understand it, the “issue” is the use of something that LOOKS official. Uh huh…I haven’t seen it yet, but if I do, I’ll put it up…

    They had their nerve, saying that Hillary Clinton stretched the truth! The corrupted bankrupted MSM ws all over it! Yet they fail to address Mr. Barry Soetoro’s growing creditability gap? The MSM needs to be reformed and the large corporate sponsers driven out of the News making business. News outlets maybe should be run by non-profit groups?

      I know, Steve1 – that’s the thing. They claimed that Hillary was going to fine people, and she had no intention of doing so, but Obama? Heck yeah – it seems that his MO was to claim the other person was going to do something HE was really planning on doing, getting everyone all up in arms, and then sliding it in when people weren’t paying attention.

      Those Harry and Louise ads of Obama’s did just that – and then they attacked HILLARY when she tried to fight back. Infuriating.

      Great idea Tammy but not politically realistic. Remember how Hillary’s own party savaged her during the last election? They just took delegates from Hillary and awarded them to Obama. They also gave him delegates when he wasn’t on the ballot based on “who might have voted for him”.

      That type of in-your-face political gerrymandering means that Hillary has a snowball’s chance in hell.

      If you add in the enablers in the MSM things could get very ugly.

      A second run for Hillary would make the first one look like a picnic.

    Let’s see, according to BO Sasha had meningitis at 3 months, but according to Michelle Sasha didn’t have it at 4 months. Does that man care about his own family enough to know what happened in their lives? Only in the sense of usefulness to his agenda, I’m afraid.

    Yesterday I listened to Rush (I know, I know), on the way to the vet’s and he was talking about Michelle’s speech. She apparently said when she heard “possible meningitis”, that her first thought was, “Thank God we have insurance.” Rush said he doubted a mother’s first thought, upon hearing her baby might be seriously ill, would be about coverage instead of the baby’s life. I kind of thought that, too. When my son was a baby, we were still in college, so had minimal insurance. He got pneumonia and my first thought was: whatever it takes to save my son. We paid the bills over time, but I certainly wouldn’t have done less to assure his health no matter what.

    So Michelle is selling the health care plan on her daughter’s back. Sad.

      How many times during the campaign and since did he use his Mother’s cancer to talk about healthcare saying he watched he spend all her time on the phone dealing with this, while she was dieing.
      First we all know he didn’t go see or spend any time with Mom while she had the cancer and 2nd IF he cared at all, (especially being a Lawyer and all) HE could have called the insurance and hospitals and taken that problem off her hands.
      Not to mention since she didn’t live in the US how did she have US insurance to start with? but Since all he does is lie and make up stories about family members (Kennedy’s brought Dad to US, HE was born because of Selma, Uncle first at Autzwitz…)to make people thinks he is like them and understands,

    Well, he does own factcheck.org, or so it seems. They have stretched the facts about his birth certificate issue just slightly enough so they aren’t really lying. they just changed the question oh, so slightly.

    Thank you so much RRR – I always enjoy reading your posts as well as the comments here. I would go insane if not for this site. In regards to the article nothing the Obamas do suprise me including using their own daughter for political gain. And what’s up with the high belts Michelle wears ? How is this a fashion icon – they look terrible.

    Also I saw a wonderful bumper sticker. It was Obama’s O symbal used in ONE TERM.
    Let’s do everything possible to make sure that’s all he has and that he has a Republican congress for the last two years so he can’t screw our country any further.

      Portia, EXCELLENT point abt Michelle and her daughter’s possible diagnosis. I can’t imagine a parent’s first thought NOT being something along the lines of the child’s HEALTH and how s/he was feeling..

      Obamastole, you are so right. I remember being SO disappointed when I found out that factcheck.org was simply an arm of Annenberg. How could that possibly be? Sheesh. So frustrating, isn’t it? Not that Obama cares a whole lot abt facts ANYWAY, but for those of us who do, it sure would be nice to have a truly nonpartisan site at which to research these claims.

    The congress, with HUGE public agreement, passed a bill, which was attached to a harmless-sounding “student loan bill.”

    Has anyone read it? Where can I find it? Is this the one that contains grants for people of color, REGARDLESS of their income?

    I was invited to have lunch with Michelle and others after the primary. I told them I was a Hillary supporter, they cheated, and I would be voting for McCain. I do not pay much attention to Michelle. I would rather watch her hubby slide across the floor on banana peels. But on those rare occasions when I do, she strikes me as a very tentative person, she reads her speeches rather than delivering them, and there is an anger which I for one see in her especially when the camera catches her in an unguarded moment. She is always scowling, and while I can forgive some of her comments about whites, and I cannot understand how as a mother she would take her daughters to a church where race hate is spewed from the pulpit. That said, perhaps you can understand why when people try to tell me that Michelle is wildly popular with the American People I am skeptical.

    I’m guessing that when the Obamas got to the ER nobody told them they had to go to another hospital. Pity Meechelle didn’t recall their experience and how she was feeling when she was busy putting her plan in place at the University of Chicago hospital.

    Michelle should be ashamed of herself, but isn’t! She worked for the UCMC (Univ. of Chicago Medical Center) and when Obama became senator, her salary jumped to $300,000/yr. She was supposed to help provide health care assistance to people in the community, but yet took an over-inflated salary, which was part of the problem. Does she mention that when talking about health care reform?

    Perhaps we should stop calling this the White House agenda and start calling this the Soros agenda.

    I spotted the Soros connection early on and was struck by the way he lined up contributors for good old Barack. However, I was reluctant to conclude that he was the puppet master, without additional evidence.

    But after Mr. Obama was installed as president, I discovered that the policies he was pushing with great urgency were the very policies previously advocated by Soros. Specifically, the stimulus plan, cap and trade, health care, and amnesty.

    To me at least, that differentiated Soros from the General Electrics and Goldman Sacks of the world for this reason: their agenda was business–to expand their bottom line; whereas Soros has a social agenda as well which I firmly believe is to break down society and construct world government.

    As fantastic as that may sound, I am afraid the evidence is there for those who want to dig. That is not to say that everyone pulling the oars is privy to it. But I do believe the people in the know know.

    Where Soros and his cabal made their mistake was in underestimating the pushback on health care. Health care equates to survival for many Americans, and when survival is at stake the charges of racism do not register, they merely enflame.

Nothing you see, but something you sense or feel about a person…they may look like they’ve had a bath but something feels like it’s the dirt that won’t wash off until there has been a complete spiritual awakening and cleansing.     Grandma Would’ve Known Better

    “Wow! There’s been hell to pay around here today. MO is really, really upset that there’s been so much chatter about the frock she chose to wear to U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Jared C. Monti’s posthumous Medal of Honor Award ceremony.

    She has no idea how it made it’s way around the blogosphere on Sunday, of all days, when Big Guy was busy in front of the cameras explaining to the likes of George Stephanopoulos what the meaning of “dictionary” is.

    If it’s all right with you guys, I’d just as soon not volunteer any information involving how this picture might have slipped out. But I would like to take this opportunity to thank Pundit & Pundette for linking me on their site, and at Hot Air Greenroom, as well as Fausta’s, Gateway Pundit, Dinah Lord and Celestial Junk. Thanks guys. It’s always nice to get a little boost. Especially when you start wondering if anyone even notices what you’re trying to do to help out.

    But let’s just keep this our little secret. Lady M really hates it if I say “I told you so.” But anyone with half a brain would have know that dress would’ve made a better Catalina bathing suit for your grandma than a frock honoring a fallen hero.”

    And, I especially like MOTUS’ promise to keep us informed about FLOTUS’upcoming trip to Copenhagen…my, oh my, what opportunities! He even describes Carter’s statement as a Homer Simpson “doh!” moment: if you don’t see racism in the emotional agitation against the President, you,sir, are an idiot and a liar. Then he turns around to remind us that St. Jimmy himself:

    (… During his presidential campaign in 1976, … blithely let it be known that he had no problem with residents “trying to maintain the ethnic purity of their neighborhoods,” and he tossed around ugly terms like “black intrusion” and “alien groups.” He later apologized.)

    Hmmm. Can apologizing make you not a racist? He maybe needs to apologize some more if that’s the case, as he’s the only one I’ve ever heard call Obama a “black boy.” And it just seems to roll off his tongue.

    Herbert has inadvertently exposed the truth that non-racists everywhere have always suspected: those who scream “racist” loudest and most frequently, who see racism no matter where they turn, are usually the biggest racists in the room. I reach this conclusion because pretty much everything else in Herbert’s column appears to be angry accusations of racism hurled in the direction of the other party.

    Don’t forget the anecdote about his uncle being one of the first soldiers to free Auschwitz. It was Russians soldiers not Americans who had freed Auschwitz, but don’t let such a tiny historical fact stand between you and potential voters. He is such an elegant liar, reminds me of Glenn Close in Dangerous Liaisons:

    RRRR. I hope you know that Sasha never had meningititus (sp). That is why Michelle stopped short of saying she had while Obama could not control his lying tongue and said the child did. A man who would lie on his child for political expediency is a scoundrel. The story about the guy dying from cancer because in 2005 his insurance company dropped him in the middle of chemo also has a false implication. Lynn sweet outed Obama in the Suntimes. The real story is that the insurance company did drop the man but had to reinstate him after 2 weeks due to the good work of his lawyer and the Attorney General of IL. The man never missed a chemo treatment. As Obama related the story one would surmise the man died soon after being dropped while the fact is the man died in 2009, 4 years later. I hope the news media pick up on this story of lies by the “LIAR IN CHIEF”.

    I will hold my breathe while the MSM excoriate him as they did Hillary for her embellishment of the landing in Bosna story for which she profusely apologized. I am AA and I can not take Obama. Since his selection I have mostly turned off the MSM except for FOX occasionally. Notwithstanding the fact that I was part of marching and working for civil rights, I never thought I’d see the day that I would be so unhappy with a “black” (biracial) president.
