Nancy Pelosi – Where Were You?

What Is More Important?

Many have asked, where has Nancy Pelosi been? As a figurehead in government, a representative of women at large, a benefactor of funding from organizations like Emily’s list, why has she not taken a stand to defend not only Hillary Clinton, but more importantly, the advancement of women in our society.

When asked about sexism and the demeaning assaults against Hillary Clinton by the media, her retort, paraphrased, was she was too busy being Speaker of the House. Wrong!!!

Follow the Money

Enter George Soros, Felix Rohatyn, and Joseph Onek.

Let us connect the dots. In February, 2007, Nancy Pelosi hired Joseph Onek as her Chief Counsel. Mr. Onek is also a chief policy advisor for the Open Society Institute, funded by none other than George Soros.

You may be curious about Felix Rohatyn. Mr. Rohatyn is a not only a major financial backer of Nancy Pelosi but he is one of her top economics advisors.

The Obama Connection

Mr. Obama has called for the formation of a National Infrastructure Investment Bank (NIRB). This is a derivative of the Rohatyn-Rudman National Investment Corporation (NIC) first proposed in 2005.

Essentially, Mr. Obama is a surrogate for a private investment model controlled by George Soros and those that subscribe to his world monetary monopoly model. The NIRB is nothing more than a fascist economic model.

Be Careful

Ms. Pelosi would have us believe her job is so demanding her inability to not only perceive but to understand the sexism, media bias, and misogyny was not within her realm. Do not be fooled! She is in bed with the enemy. FOLLOW THE MONEY!!!!!

  • elizinsandi

She says she has over 80% support from her constituency. Overconfident, indeed!

    Does Pelosi know this???
Donald Young told Obama that he needed to tell the truth about something, so he had him murdered. A $1000.00 reward is obsurd! Obama was close to young and with all of his money, he didn’t put up more of a reward. Wake up everyone!!! Just remember, if you defend Obama; you are disrespecting a great man, “Donald Young”!! Do what you want, but Obama had him murdered and Rev. Wright knows about it. That’s why Obama didn’t disown Wright, in the very beginning. Once Wright went on his little speaking tour, Obama went to see him that night and said, “if you want me to be president, you need to stop”. Wright was hurt because of Obama’s disowning his comments and that’s why he did it. His anger got the best of him. Wright agreed and Obama disowned him completely! Notice that you haven’t seen Wright lately? If he was so angry about Obama disowning his comments, why do you think that Wright SUDDENLY isn’t upset about disowning him completely? REST IN PEACE DONALD!!

This is a neo-liberal agenda that has a disdain for democratic institutions and a vision of a post democratic America and Europe. Under neo-liberalism, voters are not to be trusted, and government should be managed by a permanent class of unelected elites. A recent article in the leftist Der Spiegel said as much regarding the “Irish” problem (it is easy to find yourself online). This is the model the EU has been trying to cram down the throats of Europeans, first the the EU Constitution defeated by the voters of several countries and then repackaged as a treaty to avoid popular vote, except in Ireland.

Traditional liberals and conservatives maintained a focus on the rights of the individual in opposition to government whereas the neo-liberals and neo-conservatives are more concerned with promoting the powers of government over the individual.

  • JP49

I have thought from the very beginning that Pelosi was involved in getting Obama as the nominee. I have never like her. She’s a snake. She hasn’t been a good speaker of the house because she’s been too busy making sure Obama was the nominee. I hope the August convention turns on its head and Hillary gets the nomination. Of course, Pelosi and Dean et al are worried and that’s why they don’t want to put Hillary’s name on the roll call. These people must not get re-elected.

  • http://paganpower.wordpress.com/ PaganPower

You are absolutely correct. Pelosi is MIA. Her “I was too busy being Speaker” line is way to close to Obama’s “I was too busy running for President” line.

    Slackers and liars both.

And if Nancy was so busy being the Speaker just what has she accomplished that is so noteworthy?

  • Lou

    Dear Nancy Pelosi,
We know that you helped Obama who has run a toxic campaign of race baiting and bait and switch that has USED progressives to ensure victories for a member of an old chicago boys club. The cult that has sprung up around Obama is dangerous. And many of us intend to see it defeated. Obama has torn the Democratic party in half with his campaign of bullshit roasted over a fire of “hope”

You should be ashamed of yourselves. I will do everything in my power to see that he loses

  • RMinNC

Nancy Pelosi isn’t the only enemy of the people, but she sure is a major leading enemy. By the way Nancy when you took office gas was 2.50 per gallon. thanks for fixing that problem for the American people. You promised to fix that for us. You fixed it, thanks. Gas is now 4.50 a gallon. What a great leader you have turned out to be! Everytime you open your mouth, the “just words” of wisdom flows. In my opinion, you are about one breath away from being an blooming idiot!

Thank you for this enlightening post. Very important information and should be investigated in much more depth.

I don’t have the url but I’m sure it can be located for more on Soros.
    The Reformers Who Ruined Politics
    B

etween 2002 and 2004, spending by 527s more than doubled to $653 million, according to the Center for Public Integrity and the Center for Responsive Politics. At least $177 million of that came from 52 individuals who donated more than $1 million each. Total spending by independent political groups is expected to approach $1 billion by the end of this election.

The King Canutes of reform are outraged. Their answer is to stack new regulations on top of the current malfunctioning regulations they said would solve everything. Fred Wertheimer at Democracy 21, the godfather of this mess going back to the 1970s, now denounces the 527s, which he says create “enormous inequities.”

Maybe he’s referring to George Soros, his billionaire ally and fellow supporter of McCain-Feingold. Today Mr. Soros and his friends conduct a fleet of liberal 527s so broad that it is nearly untrackable. The reforms that were sold in the name of minimizing the influence of “fat cats” has made one of America’s richest men among the most powerful in politics. The very reforms championed by Mr. McCain could help Mr. Soros defeat the Arizonan this year.

Time moves very slowly for Pelosi. The 100 days she said congress would get all sorts of work done in STILL isn’t over.

  • K. Wynne

    Lou,

I agree with you about both Donald Young and. in particular, Rev. Wright.

He’s been out of the picture not because he and BO had a falling out, but because he is patiently waiting to see if Soros can buy the presidency for BO.

God help us all, if Soros succeeds.

“If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.” – Thomas Jefferson

  • Christine

In an interview with the SF Chronicle, Pelosi said her biggest accomplishment as Speaker has been preventing bills from reaching the House floor for debate. I wish I could avoid doing my job and still get paid.

Pelosi will use every opportunity in front of a camera to say Bush is the dumbest person ever. Yet she also says Bush duped her into voting to authorize the Iraqi invasion (which BTW she also voted to approve in 1998 under the Iraqi Freedom Act).

So, if Pelosi claims she has been duped by who she calls the dumbest person ever, what does that say about her own intelligence?

An old email from a person in Switzerland

Here in Switzerland we tightly follow the US elections. Most of the people here are scared by the fact someone with such a little experience in politics could run the most powerful contry in the world. The most common advice is : “Elect Hillary Clinton and take Barack Obama as vice-president, then next time, Obama will be ready to take power”. Personnaly I also agree that Obama doesn’t have enough experience to rule our world…Thank you Americans for all the passion you put in this election and for the excellent media coverage :-)

There is a huge effort to get thousands at the Convention in Denver in protest of the coronation of BO.

I’ve been told that the protestors will be kept a mile away from where the Convention will take place. Much like bush & co. did with the anti-war protestors!

Yeah, BO is the “new politics” and “change we can believe in.” He’s another George W. Bush, with Soros as his puppet master.

  • alee21

Sorry, off topic but a couple of points from Hillbuzz
    http://hillbuzz.blogspot.com/

    1. Obama remains unable to get himself to march in the Pride Parade in Chicago (he got a haircut and worked out in the gym) – I remembered Obama refused to have a photo taken with San Francisco’s mayor because Obama thought he was gay.

    2. Women at Obama’s senate office get paid on average less than men:

The average pay for the 33 men on Obama’s staff (who earned more than $23,000, the lowest annual salary paid for non-intern employees) was $59,207. The average pay for the 31 women on Obama’s staff who earned more than $23,000 per year was $48,729.91. (The average pay for all 36 male employees on Obama’s staff was $55,962; and the average pay for all 31 female employees was $48,729. The report indicated that Obama had only one paid intern during the period, who was a male.)

McCain, an Arizona senator, employed a total of 69 people during the reporting period ending in the fall of 2007, but 23 of them were interns. Of his non-intern employees, 30 were women and 16 were men. After excluding interns, the average pay for the 30 women on McCain’s staff was $59,104.51. The 16 non-intern males in McCain’s office, by comparison, were paid an average of $56,628.83.

More reason to absolutely never support Obama, not for the Presidency or any other elected office.

Reinforces the idea the guy is a sexist and anti-gay rights.

    THICK AS THIEVES

Obama calls for “clean government” don’t seem to mean much. Obama endorsed first-time candidate Alexi Giannoulias for state treasurer despite loans the Giannoulias family made through their Broadway Bank to the MOB. Giannoulias and family have also given over (not sure how much over) $10,000 to Obama’s campaign. Obama also banks at the Giannoulias owned bank. Giannoulias has also been cited as a principle in an alleged mortgage fraud involving an 83 year old woman 5 years ago.

From independent resource, SourceWatch.org regarding Barack Obama’s ties to Alexi Giannoulias:

“Alexi Giannoulias–a “man who has long been dogged by charges that the bank his family owns helped finance a Chicago crime figure” and “who became Illinois state treasurer” in 2006 after Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) “vouched for him”–”pledged to raise $100,000 for the senator’s Oval Office bid,” Charles Hurt reported September 5, 2007, in the New York Post.”

“Before he promised to raise funds for Obama, Giannoulias bankrolled
Michael `Jaws’ Giorango, a Chicagoan twice convicted of bookmaking and promoting prostitution.”

“Giannoulias is so tainted by reputed mob links that several top
Illinois Dems, including the state’s speaker of the House and party chairman, refused to endorse him even after he won the Democratic nomination with Obama’s help….” (SourceWatch)

There is a LOT MORE to Obama’s mob ties. This is just the beginning. BUT you see the Republicans know it.
The repubs call it the DARK SIDE.

  • http://puma caligirl

George Soros wants Obama to be the nominee, but he wants McCain to be President. They are buddies. Look up Soros campaign contributions. He always donates to Democrats except for John McCain. He knew like everyone else knows that Hillary was going to beat him so they had to get rid of her.

  • Lou

Does Pelosi know this? She must.

Talk about MEDIA? Where are they?
Obama got his money from Rezko who got his money from Auchi:
-Nadhmi Auchi is an Iraqi-born billionaire who was charged along with Saddam Hussein for conspiring to assassinate Prime minister (president) Abdul Karim Qasim and stood trial in 1959.
-Auchi protected secret money for Saddam Hussein AND Muammar al-Gadaffi.
(Remember, Obama’s Trinity church Pastor Wright went with Nation of Islam minister Louis Farrakhan in 1993 to visit Libyan socialist leader Gadaffi.)
-Auchi also financially backed Saddam Hussein’s plan for a pipeline from Iraq to Saudi Arabia.
-Auchi was also a business partner with Nation of Islam Founder’s son: Jabir Herbert Muhammad.
Why isn’t the media talking about all of Barack Obama’s scary friends who have ties to the worst people in history?
*Don’t forget William (Bill) Ayers and Bernadine Dorhn of the Weather Underground.
*Obama’s cousin Raila Odinga who just became co-President of Kenya (after 1,000 people were killed) whom Obama is said to be close to…who signed a secret pact with Muslim jihadists who were to ethnically cleanse people?

  • democracyfirst

A BO pundit was just on MSNBC (surprise, surprise). She said the Democratic Party is a new party and it is no longer the Clinton party – it is now the Obama party. And the party doesn’t need the Clintons anymore.

Wow! Does she have that right! The Democratic Party is now the Obama party.

We, and the Clintons, represent the old Democratic Party that stood for democracy, freedom, and representation of ordinary American citizens. That party doesn’t exist anymore. So we are a new party. I think it would be beneficial to actually create a new, third party at this time.

  • cofer

    Here ya go Pelosi.

Hillary’s email from a few months back..

    PUMA..funk unity JUSTSAYNODEAL

MEMO: Just Words for Five Years
    To: Interested Parties
    From: The Clinton Campaign
    Date: March 17, 2008
RE: Just Words for Five Years
Over the last few weeks, the question of who is most ready to be Commander-in-Chief has rightfully dominated the presidential campaign. Who is ready to take the 3am call? Who has a record of action on national security issues? Who is ready to be president on day one?
Senator Clinton has worked to answer these questions by presenting her record to voters and enabling them to judge her based on the record she has amassed during her 35 years of public service – as a first lady who traveled to 82 countries and as a U.S. Senator who sits on the Armed Services Committee.
Lacking a comparable record, Senator Obama has premised his campaign on just words, most notably the resounding speech he delivered in October 2002 against the Iraq war.
But with the fifth anniversary of the invasion upon us, the onus is now on Senator Obama to demonstrate what he did to act on that 2002 speech when he got to the U.S. Senate.
Hillary has long argued that what matters in this campaign isn’t what we’ve said but what we’ve done. Are words backed with action?
This week, the Clinton Campaign will continue to discuss which candidate is ready to be Commander-in-Chief on day one. We will urge Senator Obama to show that he hasn’t simply amassed five years of words, that his record on ending the war is one of action.
Senator Obama gave an anti-Iraq speech in 2002 that he removed from his website in 2003, calling it “dated.” When he got to the Senate, Senator Obama failed to take advantage of the opportunity provided by his new position and did little to turn his words into action until he became a White House candidate. In fact, he voted for over $300 billion in funds for the war and waited 18 months to speak on the Senate floor about Iraq, delivering a speech AGAINST the Kerry amendment that set a hard deadline for withdrawal.
When he took over the subcommittee that oversees NATO and Afghanistan and had a chance to follow up on the part of his 2002 speech that argued that Iraq diverted attention from Afghanistan, he failed to hold a single hearing. And as a candidate, he regularly touts a plan to set a hard end date for Iraq that has now been dismissed by one of his foreign policy advisers as just words.
Voters need to know whether they can count on their candidates to act on the ideas they tout on the stump. While Senator Clinton has acted on the words she uses on the campaign trail, Senator Obama’s words aren’t backed by action. At the end of the day, the true test for a president is not the speeches he or she delivers — it’s whether he or she delivers on the speeches.

the point of going to the convention is to videotape how we are treated. We have to document and have “visuals” of the coup taking place and how we, the people are being treated by those betraying us.

BO represents neo-liberalism, which is a disdain for democratic institutions and lack of trust in the voter. Traditional liberalism emphasizes individual rights as a limit on the power of government. The same can be said for the distinctions between neo-conservatives and traditional conservatives. The traditionalist believe the individual holds the reigns of power over government.

Witness what is happening in the EU with the push for the EU Constitution, which has been a neo-liberal project. Every time it has been defeated by popular vote, it gets re-crafted to avoid a further popular vote, except in Ireland, where all international agreements must go to popular vote. the EU Constitution establishes rule over the continent by a permanent class of unelected political elites. Individual state sovereignty in which voters participate would nonetheless have to conform to the dictates of the unelected elites.

That is nothing new. It has been done for decades to assembled protest groups.

The anti-war rallies had us in crowd control cages in NYC a few years ago, even with our proper permits. We were blocked from being too large by police keeping the overflow crowd from gathering.

The ones who were not in the cages ended up walking away in such large numbers it became a huge march on the avenues of manhattan along the east side.

And the crowd was very civil, groups of school teachers and nuns in cages were a sight to see.

We got there hours early and never got near the stage area and didn’t hear a thing, just walked up and down far away with most of the crowd.

There were many cages and barricaded areas controlled by cops on horseback etc.

Not at all like it was in the “olde” days.

I wouldn’t go to Denver. Things are bound to be really ugly as well as very expensive.

But I do hope the obots go and that there really is such a thing as a crap cannon. :-)

This is what Congresspedia has to say about Nancy Pelosi and ethics:

“After emerging victorious in the November 7, 2006 elections Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi pledged “to lead the most honest, the most open and the most ethical Congress in history.” Pelosi also pledged to sever the ties between K Street, the Washington corridor of lobbying firms, and Congress. As incoming Speaker, Pelosi also stated that she would push to make the sponsors of congressional earmarks public prior to votes. She stated, ‘There has to be transparency … I’d just as soon do away with all (earmarks), but that probably isn’t realistic.’”

I am trying to give her the benefit of the doubt, only because it would be so shameless to make such a statement without at least attempting to do SOMETHING.

Maybe she had something to do with Dennis Hastert’s resignation. Sibol Edmonds of 9/11 fame accused Hastert of collecting bagfuls of money from certain special interests tied to the Middle East. His resignation seemed a bit mysterious to me.

But then why is she supporting Obama and doing everything she can to keep the nomination from Hillary? Obama is not ethical and there is nothing ethical whatsoever about his campaign financing, the conduct of his campaign, and what is going on in the Democratic Party generally.

There is nothing open or transparent about any of this.

These people and their secrets and their discretions are just really beginning to turn my stomach.

Have any of you folks looked at what this National Infrastructure Reinvestment Bank actually is? What I can make of it is basically a larger pot from which to hand away Public money to Private hands. it is like his public/private housing situation except this will include infrastructure as well. Does anyone know more about this?

  • Betty

I agree with you, except that I think Jeremiah Wright’s magical mystery tour was planned so that Obama could disown him and not get bad press.

After Obama gave “The Speech”, he was still dropping in the polls so his campaign thought up a way to get rid of Jeremiah:

“The Jeremiah – Say Jaw Droppingly Outrageous Things, Insult Any Race or Nationality I Haven’t Already Insulted – National Tour”

After that everyone would understand why poor Obama had to do it, he had to deal with a fool who just wanted his 15 minutes of fame even if he was making “the one” look bad.

Simple really, huh Jeremiah, I saw through that superior smirk of yours right away.

WELL—-MOVEON …UNDER THE BUS … any more room left

    Obama takes swipe at MoveOn
    Posted: 05:41 PM ET

From CNN Ticker Producer Alexander Mooney

Obama criticized MoveOn.org over its controversial ad.
(CNN) — Barack Obama on Monday seemed to take a direct swipe at MoveOn.org, the powerful liberal group which endorsed the Illinois senator’s candidacy earlier this year and was at times instrumental to his organization in several key battleground states.

In a speech designed to combat charges he lacks patriotism, Obama sharply condemned organizations that use “these old, threadbare arguments” to level criticisms and specifically pointed to MoveOn.org’s controversial newspaper ad last fall that attacked the top U.S. general in Iraq, David Petraeus.

    Watch: Obama talks patriotism

“All too often our politics still seems trapped in these old, threadbare arguments – a fact most evident during our recent debates about the war in Iraq, when those who opposed administration policy were tagged by some as unpatriotic, and a general providing his best counsel on how to move forward in Iraq was accused of betrayal,” Obama said.

MoveOn has not responded to Obama’s comments.

Candidates who can’t win pledged delegates and who run out of money – like Hillary – normally drop out of the race. They realize they can’t win and they don’t take on massive debt. Hillary broke the mold by continuing on when she had no change of winning pledged delegates and now is trying to get folks to pay off her big debts. I respect the Obamas for contributing but I won’t myself.

Two months ago Ziggy Brzezinski led a group from the RAND Corp. to Syria to talk to the Dictator there. This is the same Ziggy that was Jimmy Carter’s National Security Advisor, and a Obama advisor, when Iran held American Hostages for 444 days without Carter / Brzezinski taking any action to punish the perps, they let Iran kick sand in the face of every American. Obama is running for Carter’s second term backed by the very same group of ultra-rich Internationalists that put Carter in the White House.

Maybe you can tell us when the last time was a presidential candidate called white people “Typical White People?”

UPDATE: Google spokesman Adam Kovacevich suggests my longwinded free speech defense jumps to conclusions, and that the real culprit here was an errant spam filter. He emails:

We think blog spam is a serious problem and we have spam detection software to try to eliminate it. In this case, it appears that our anti-spam filters caused some Blogger accounts to be blocked from creating new posts.

While we are still investigating, we believe this may have been caused by mass spam e-mails mentioning the “Just Say No Deal” network of blogs, which in turn caused our system to classify the blog addresses mentioned in the e-mails as spam. We have restored posting rights to the affected blogs, and it is very important to us that Blogger remain a tool for political debate and free expression.

Obamarrhoid lost the popular, is behind in the electoral college map and doesn’t have a chance in hell of winning in November.

I HAVE A SUGGESTION……If you could find out who is speaking at the convention…once at a PTA meeting during open house, a new school had merged with ours. The new people that came in tried to run everything, and people who had been there for years were furious. During the open house they askedd if anyone wanted to speak. One of the “OLD” school PTA members got up and told everyone what was going on……..needless to say THE POWER SHIFTED BACK TO THE OLD SCHOOL……..If somehow you could get to one of the speakers at the convention or enough delegates, if they all walked out Obama would not get enough votes to be nominee

It is more important, and perhaps a more obligation, to fight for what is right. What you are implying is that if you believe in something but do not have the funding to support it – forget about it. Please read history. Please honor Washington and our founders. Blood soaked feet, in blizzards, with no money, they fought for principles. The principles which allow you to express yourself. And, they were without the means you indicate to be so important.

When was the last time that a “true” Democrat referenced Ronald Reagan as a “transcendental” figure? You know the guy who in 1980 launched his presidential campaign in Philadelphia Mississippi where (3) Civil Rights workers were killed? You know the guy who used coded rascist language about “states rights”, refused to utter the word AIDS, left our country trillions of dollars in debt, and left AA communities in shambles.

When was the last time that a “true” Democratic presidential candidate would be allowed to stay on in the race after sitting in the pews of a rascist church, with a minister making pelvic hip thrusts from the pulpit?

When was the last time that a “true” Democratic candidate took the stage after winning a caucus (Iowa) to the tune of Jay-Z’s song 99 problems, right at the point where he sings “..I’ve got 99 problems but a bitch ain’t one!”

When was the last time that a “true” Democratic candidate would take the stage with a retinue of homophobes and those who believe homosexuality is a choice one can be cured of? (Donnie McClurkin anyone?)

When was the last time that a “true” Democratic candidate would decry to the wealthy of Marin County CA, that the only reason he was loosing in a state like Pennsylvania is because the folks there are bitter and “cling to their god and guns?” [that is rich considering Obama didn’t do a damn thing to get his ass up out of his own pew for 20 years. Why is that? Did he think it would give him “cred” with the AA community?

When was the last time that a “true” Democratic candidate would have so many unsavory connections to low-income housing development that left thousands in the cold, without trash pickup or heat, and just this last week resulted in the death of a 3 year old boy being crushed to death by a heavy rusted fence?

How much of a true Democrat can Obama be when he goes so far as to refuse to have his picture taken at a San Francisco fundraiser with SF mayor Gavin Newsome because Newsome supports gay marriage?

I think you need to do alittle more research before you spout off. If you really do live in the UK then you should be readily familiar with what the “new labor” party has so far accomplished under Gordon Brown…which is nothing unless you count one scandal begetting another scandal!

    Cheers

After writing the above, I checked Dennis Hastert out on Wikipedia. It appears that Hastert had a feud with Soros (See below). Perhaps Soros dug up enough dirt on Hastert and used his already designated puppetman, Obama, to convey the incriminating information to colleagues in Senate and House thereby ingratiating Obama to them and winning their trust. Farfetched, I know, but I am on a quest to try and make sense of what the Democrats have been doing. This is one theory.

    “Remarks about George Soros
On August 29, 2004, in a Fox News interview, Hastert said, “You know, I don’t know where billionaire George Soros gets his money… if it comes overseas or from drug groups or where it comes from.” Asked if he thought Soros got money from drug cartels, Hastert responded:

Well, that’s what he’s been for a number years — George Soros has been for legalizing drugs in this country. So, I mean, he’s got a lot of ancillary interests out there. I’m saying I don’t know where groups — could be people who support this type of thing. I’m saying we don’t know.[22]
Hastert had made similar comments in an August 23, 2004 radio interview.[23][24]

On August 31, Soros, who had made his money from investments and currency speculation, wrote to Hastert requesting an apology.[25] Hastert replied that Soros had “funded organizations such as The Drug Policy Foundation, The Open Society, The Lendesmith Center, the Andean Council of Coca Leaf Producers, and several ballot initiatives across the country to decriminalize illegal drug use”; he did not apologize. Slate magazine noted that “Hastert’s explanation is preposterous. Soros gives money to these groups. He doesn’t collect money from them.”[23] On September 1, Soros wrote a second letter, again requesting an apology.[26]

In mid-September 2004, Soros filed a complaint with the House Committee on Standards of Official Conduct, charging that Hastert had slandered him by making comments on radio and television that Soros received drug money.[27]“

A response to UKfor Dems, realdemocrat, et al

George Orwell fought for common decency against the tyrannies of the right and the left. Orwell gave special commentary against those that held ideology over common decency. UKforDems is an example of those who place ideology over common decency, as in evidence by his reuse of the fully discredited, slanderous attacks on Hillary Clinton.

realdemocrat, as in evidence in his posts on why Obama was right to reverse his stated principles on public financing, believes that Obama should practise the politics of Niccolo Machiavelli. In other words, realdemocrat believes the ends justify the means. This could explain the Obama campaign’s thuggishness towards PUMA. They want us to fear them because they know we will not love them. This said, perhaps it is time to coin the term, BARACKIAVELLIAN.

    Yours,

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.

Very important article-one must know the enemy!

Hope is Cindy Sheehan beating Pelosi and good…In fact it was Sheehan who was the woman who in many ways mobilized the antiwar majority to life and allowed us
to vote in a Democratic majority into the White House.

When the Democrats betrayed us Sheehan became real disgusted and suggested going beyond the two parties. This was a year ago when she called for a meeting for
JULY 4th in Philadelphia to see where we can go.

Dedicated activists rallied around this call by Sheehan and put together the Philadelphia Emergency Antiwar Convention where what is know as the Philadelphia Platform calling for a ‘united front’ of antiwar, impeachment, civil liberties, economic sanity and 9/11 truth together…recognizing that various factions must work together and that we must depend on ourselves not the moribund parties.

Now we are seeing the further takeover of the Democratic Party by the thugs around Pelosis, Obama Dean, Rohatyn, Soros, etc…Which is ushering in the destruction of the Democratic Party with the natural growth of the PUMA movement.

    Go PUMAS!!!

Obama did have a majority of pledged delegates and that’s what the superdelegates cared about. They endorsed the winner of pledged delegates.

Interviews after this was done established that superdelegates operated that way. They were never going to overturn the pledged delegates. You may not like that, but that’s what they always planned on doing. And FL and MI, even with full seatings, would not have changed Obama’s win of pledged delegates.

If you could show me one current electoral map where Obama is behind McCain, please post the link. I go to lots of sites and in all of them, Obama is ahead in the electoral college.

It is no secret that the Democrack-up Party is self-destructive. Even when poised to win elections, the Party somehow manages to shoot itself in the foot and lose. Witness, that there has been only one two-term Democratic President since World War II, the president the Democrats these days love to hate, Bill Clinton and his First Lady Hillary.
Clearly, the Clintons first hater is Nancy Pelosi, who said and did everything or nothing, during the Democratic Party’s primary season to bring down the candidacy of Hillary Clinton.
Apparently, Hillary Clinton is not welcome in Nancy Pelosi’s house.
The first Mrs. Speaker of the House of Representatives, along with her cohorts, were more interested in wresting control of the Party from the Clintons, the leaders of the moderate movement that brought that rare two-term success to the Democrack-up Party, than in taking positions their power afforded them to stop the clearly misogynistic attacks on Senator Clinton during her candidacy.
You could say Speaker Pelosi suffers from wicked step-sister glass foot in mouth disease. Whenever she opens her trap nothing but negativity toward Hillary Clinton comes out, her words uniquely subtle yet shrill enough to shatter a piece of glass-ceiling.
Speaker Pelosi has an interesting delivery. While her style of speech is deliberate, she delivers her words with a soft, breathy voice, sort of sotto voce, an Italian modern-day Marilyn Monroe impersonation. After all, in these times baby doll girlies are out; but tough broads aren’t in either. Thus, Mrs. Pelosi’s cross between Barbie and Nurse Ratchet most likely got her elected the first woman Speaker of the House of Representatives, using both feminine wiles and no-nonsense authoritarianism to get her the job.
Of course, it was no easy climb to get to where she is today. Congress is the epitome of the Old Boy’s Club, even as women make strides in their numbers in American government. However, when women constitute more than half of the nation’s population but hold only approximately 16 percent of congressional seats, it’s clear that women need all the help that they can get in furthering their power in government.
So you would think that a woman who “made it” would do everything that she could to help another break through that so often spoken about glass ceiling.
    Well, think again.
Speaker Pelosi’s personal power and political agenda took precedence over righting a major wrong in American society, the diminution of women.
Women should be royally pissed (yes, pissed!) at Speaker Nancy Pelosi the highest-ranking woman ever to hold elective office in the U.S., for allowing her personal agenda to stand in the way of her using her power to help facilitate the election of the first viable women candidate for the highest office in the land.
Yesterday, to much applause and respect by many, if not Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton returned to the Senate to take up where she left off before her unsuccessful pursuit of the presidency.
Today, Mrs. Clinton will rally the troops in the House, those who supported her candidacy and those who did not, to stand behind the Party’s presumptive nominee, Barack Obama. Tomorrow, the class-act of Hillary Clinton will hit the road with her former foe to show she is throwing her full support behind the Obama candidacy.
Despite her Armani suits and tony San Francisco address, Speaker Pelosi clearly lacks Hillary Clinton’s class. On Senator Clinton’s return to the Senate yesterday, Speaker Pelosi in her best Nurse Ratchet imitation couldn’t resist just one more swipe at Hillary Clinton, and at all women who struggle to break through that glass ceiling.
This from the highest women political office holder in the land: “
“I myself find that I get a tremendous upside from being a woman and I don’t spend a lot of time worrying about sexist remarks that people make.”
Well, Mrs. Pelosi, maybe you ought to. But, of course, I’m speaking to the woman who has taken to hiding behind the skirts of that girlie man, FISA-loving, Steny Hoyer.

Well, Lou, hopefully you will get to SEE a US election. Up there in Switzerland, I’m sure you know that Nicolas Sarkozy aka Sarkozy The American, has just taken over the EU presidency and he will have it until January 09.

On July 15, Sarkozy is going to launch the Union of the Mediterranean consisting of the following member states: Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Albania, Greece, Turkey, Syria, Israel, Egypt, Libya, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco. Wouldn’t be surprised if Iran gets attacked around the same time. George Bush firmed up policy with Libya and Morocco and Nancy Pelosi went to Syria. Entire UMED will stand with Israel.

Remember, George Bush was on his last European tour two weeks ago and Sarkozy was in Israel last week, having gone there right after Bush went home.

Somebody in a previous post was talking about the bankers. Yes, the ECB is going to raise the interest rate this week, making the Euro even stronger against the dollar but Sarkozy says it’s already 30% over-valued. Maybe Southern Europe and the UMED with Zarkozy the American in charge will see a new currency more in line with the dollar.

Speaker Pelosi had no intentions of helping Sen. Clinton win the Democratic nomination. Why would she? She is perceivably the most powerful woman in Washington, and third in line to the Presidency. Why would she undermine her own power by helping Hillary win the White House? Her non-action and quiet support of Obama guarantees the Soros-Dean-Pelosi-Reid-Kennedy faction will stay in control of the party for another four years regardless of an Obama or a McCain victory.

There are two types of people in Washington. The people with the power, and the people that are waiting in the wings for an opening to steal that power. With Unions and Big Business pushing for amnesty for illegals to pay dues and suppress wages, the Obama backed East-West Coast faction of the party will leave Blue Collar workers without a voice.

    Open Message to President Clinton:

RESIST! Please Resist! You asked me a personal question in Upper Dublin PA when I brought my grandson Austin to meet you and profess his little (big) love for the World’s Greatest Daughter, Chelsea Clinton. You spent a great deal of time with him, an only child, 8 years old with profound knowledge of all United States Presidents.

*Q. Ma’am, do you believe Hillary “should” be our President?

*A. Yes, Sir. We need her more now than ever. Our world-at-large needs her.
She has earned this position. She has indeed proven herself over the course of many, many years. Hillary not only represents a Change we can believe in but she is someone we can believe.

We will come to the aid of our Party when it is clear that we have a leader. President Clinton, please do not give in. Your silence is speaking volumes and we hear you loud and clear.

We are not so naive that we don’t know in our hearts that Politics is a game. It is, however, it clearly is not and should not be a Shell Game.

As a mother of 4 lovely daughters and having a Mom who lives in our home, I am begging you: Please Resist.

    ~ ~ ~
I am doing my part in donating $100. of every paycheck to get this monkey off her back. Pay off the Debt Now.

Mark your Calendars for the summer evening when Hillary comes to the podium in Denver to speak and to say: I accept the nomination of my Party and will be honored to lead you back to a path of peace and prosperity.

    Encore! 21st Century!

God Bless our America the Beautiful and Happy Independence Day!

How ironic, DNC? Get out today, folks, a little SUNSHINE may be beneficial to all of you sitting in the back rooms plotting your next” refinement” a.k.a. “distraction”. Remember CREEP? I do. Smells the same only different.

[...] wink wink to sexism and misogyny. But it’s not as if Nancy Pelosi is a victim either. Pelosi was “see no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil” when misogyny was directed at H… and I certainly can’t remember any anti-sexism statement by her regarding Sarah [...]
