There's no confusion - Soros helped him use the left to 'win' the Democratic nomination (because Clinton held the centre) and now for the GE they are appealing to right (Plan B, should Clinton's supporters not come round) - hence the flip flops.

This strategy can only work if the msm are in bed with them and if they can control the blogs. We've seen the msm bias, the recent 'spamming' of many anti-obama blogs, and even here - the presence of the likes of you to misinform, distract, sow doubts etc.

That's why sites like this and people like Larry and Susan are heroes!

Everybody here knows this. You're just wasting your time.

Amen on MoveOn. I dropped 'em like the dirty turdie they turned out to be, the moment they jumped on the Obama bus--which they've now clearly been tossed UNDER just like everyone else.

Barack Obama cannot be trusted, by his friends, by his enemies, by anyone. He's a coward, who folds at the slightest difficulty. Progressives who think his "hope" and "change" schtick are real, are going to be very disappointed when he turns out to be the FIRST ONE TO FOLD TO GOP PRESSURE EVERY TIME.

I have actually had some "first hand" experiences with Senator Clinton, Senator McCain, Move On and Gen Clark. My son enlisted before 911, served in Kosovo, and is now serving his 2nd tour in Iraq. I have my son's back at all times, although I may not have always agreed with his choices, I support him, always. During his first tour in Iraq, I was in a state of total fear, every minute of every day,(not to say that isn't something I feel now, I work on it). When the rash of beheadings, etc, Private Lynch abduction etc., I was terrified, and wrote and wrote and wrote. The people I wrote to were the ones I respected and thought would hear me, and for the most part I was right. Personal letters from the Senators, and the General, site support at Move on. Later I wrote late one night to Michael Moore, sharing a letter I had written to my son, there was also support there; publishing the letter. I was against the war, from onset, but have always been supportive of our soldiers, and always will be. I understand others may have had motives but never was this the experience I had from the senators and general. I finally had a moment when I could have been in contact with Move On, because of an experience I wrote about regarding having a private web site a long time ago, and the backlash I got over having it, I took a beating like no ones business, because of my letter being published by Michael Moore(this is when Patriot Act, Part 1 was introduced). I did no interviews, and refused to continue in a public way, for fear of my family, plain and simple.
The reason I am relating all of this is to remind, the tactics you see employed during this election, are not new, they have been going on for some time since 2000. Senator McCain was the first to be swift boated by GW, Cindy Sheehan was made into a pathetic figure by the media, it wasn't cool to be against the war at that time, and she was used as well. I recall Move On was part of the "support". It seems there problems with a focus on what we need as a whole to get our country back on it's feet, but it doesn't take a brain surgeon to know, the billions of dollars being poured into the war, are what has cost us the most. Most people worry about a draft coming, with good reason.
Sentor Clinton and McCain, both worked their asses off over the last 7 years, yet they took the time to answer my worries, not in a form letter, but honest one on one help. Senator McCain became involved in trying to help with information regarding the death of a soldier in our unit. Senator Clinton, always consistent in her support and understanding.
Just put the Candidate to the "truth" test. Holding the truth as solid(as it does not change) vs. changing your opinion, A lie morphs, change of opinion has reasoning, not rhetoric. Obama has neither.

Whooohoo! Way to go HARP!

By the way, Ted, who but a dyed in the wool obot would think ducking out on a controversial vote makes a politician look bold and decisive? Obama is a double-dealing candy-ass, who speaks out of both sides of his mouth.

Hillary was the one who took a stand.

Another possibility regarding O's tossing of MoveOn is the same scenario as his NAFTA message in Toronto, was it?
What if he just has a normal strategy meeting with the rest of the cabal and, like pro wrestlers, they create a scenario of "Toss MoveOn under the bus", or like I've said before, more probably into the luggage compartment with Ayers, et. al. thus making O appear more centrist and drawing away fence sitters who don't know PUMA.
Never underestimate their re-use of something that works.
I mean. after all, how many women really do faint at political rallies, anyway?

Just so Biden doesn't get tainted in this whole mess, I did search and there were two FRC meetings this year concerning NATO. That doesn't let Obama of the hook for not holding any meetings (which would have been a better way to word the original complaint), but Biden was not lying when e said the NATO meetings were in front of the full committee. (March 11 and 17 were dates I think. For some reason I can't post links these days.)

Ted Ted Ted..please..the bullshit pouring out of you is really beneath anyone here ...stop please..you are a disgrace...

Clinton camps highlights Obama's chairmanship

WASHINGTON (CNN) — Sen. Hillary Clinton's campaign Wednesday pounced on Sen. Barack Obama's acknowledgment that he has yet to hold a substantive hearing since becoming chairman of a Senate subcommittee on Europe.

The admission during Tuesday night's Democratic debate offered a "glimpse of the real Barack Obama," and was emblematic of the Illinois senator's light record of results, the Clinton camp said in an e-mail.

Obama "did not hold a single oversight hearing because he was too busy running for president; the Barack Obama who spends his time talking about change you can believe in instead of change you actually can count on," the e-mail stated.

Clinton herself raised the issue at the debate in Cleveland.

'"He chairs the subcommittee on Europe. It has jurisdiction over NATO. NATO is critical to our mission in Afghanistan," she said. "He's held not one substantive hearing to do oversight, to figure out what we can do to actually have a stronger presence with NATO in Afghanistan."

In response, Obama noted he has only served as the committee's chairman since January of 2007, just when his presidential campaign was beginning — a fact the Clinton campaign's memo also highlighted.

"But by his own admission, he was too busy running for president to conduct a single substantive hearing of the committee he chairs," the memo stated. "So he would rather talk about what he would do rather than do it through the responsibility he had.”

For the record, Obama has held two hearings on ambassadorial nominations, but no oversight hearings.

McCain hits Obama for not holding hearings

McCain, holding a town hall meeting in that big little city, Reno, Nev., opens his remarks today with what will surely be a recurring talk point against Obama but one that I've not heard the candidate himself use much:

Senator Obama is the chairman of an important subcommittee that has the oversight of what's going on in Afghanistan. He has not held one single hearing on Afghanistan where young Americans are in harm's way as we speak. My friends, this is about leadership.

Actually, Obama's Foreign Relations subcommittee on European Affairs does not have jurisdiction over Afghanistan (that would be the Subcommittee on Near Eastern and South and Central Asian Affairs). But Obama still could have held hearings as it related to, say, the role of NATO in Afghanistan.

Whether the attack it's fine-tuned or not, that Obama did not hold a single hearing from his subcommittee perch is sure to be used by the GOP as a he's-all-talk talking point.
