Too big to fail = able to make stupid decisions that would cause an ordinary business to fail, but no worries for you, because the government will bail you out with the citizenry's money. Cool.

Important article, Linda. The Big Lie continues and the American public is being fleeced. The "too big to fail" banks and financial institutions are effectively bankrupt. They've been hiding their losses through frudulant accounting practices and with the wink and nod of the Fed and the US Government. We cannot even get decent unemployment numbers. That 500,000+ number that Sassy mentioned is for first time filers for benefits from just last week. The official numbers [coming out tomorrow, I think] will no doubt lowball the figures.

And yet, this Administration continues to spend and waste money that they don't have. The future of the country is literally being pissed away. There's no accountability for the highway robbery of the past or the present. It's the same tune--flood the public with continuous distraction as we have our pockets picked and houses sacked. And regulation? A joke.

This is going to blow up eventually because the math is the math. Numbers don't lie, only the people massaging them.

With the unemployment numbers increasing, the stock market is going to dive faster than a stone into deep waters.

Thank you Linda!
The new unemployment numbers were released this morning and topped 500,000.
Obama and Congress plan to commit another 35 billion to housing, which may go to people who will default, further exacerbating that market.
I expect whatever legislation that finally passes on healthcare to impact the markets, employment and the over-all economy.
The stock market has shown some improvement, but will decline just as rapidly as before.
