Eagleburger On Obama: A Must-Watch

What else is there to say? He has nailed it. We have a completely naive and inexperienced president whose only ability is to read a teleprompter. Eagleburger looks — appropriately — very distressed and disturbed. As he should be. As we all are.

  • AMERICAN SAWBUK

This obama creature is ruining our country and it will only get worse..he could never make a decision. He has no no no experience… He always voted present and he lies lies lies..We knew all this at this site before he was elected…now what do we do ???? no one listened.. they are not listening still..perhaps they never will (as the song says).. I for one cannot live through another Vietnam another Carter administration..I am too old for this…I am so discouraged and depressed…I see no hope at all . In 9 months he has cost us a fortune of waste and corruption… and the thought of him controlling heathcare is to much….can we have a revote???? PLEASE!!!!!!!

    • Julia

After this election I think it’s possible to say that misogyny not only destroys women’s lifes but men&women’s lifes

  • felizarte

I watched this segment on Greta yesterday and he was quite right on the difference between Clinton and Obama and Obama’s lack of leadership and too much talking. Great analysis by Eagleburger on Obama. I wonder when they’ll send the brigade to shoot the messenger.

    • http://firefox Martha Washington Collier

I watched that too. He was right on. All talk and no meaningful action whatsoever. Whatever he does do or promote has negative consequences for the USA and us.

  • AMERICAN SAWBUCK

Sorry, I was so upset I spelled SAWBUCK wrong .
I cannot even spell my name correctly…
I must calm down but it will probably not be until 2012

    • http://firefox Martha Washington Collier

Take heart, AS, 2010 is just around the corner and we’ll be going to the voting booth faster than you can say ACORN.

This time, we know what we’re up against. I really believe many discounted the Dims ability to steal an election. We are voting the Dims out of the majority; and that means Nancy it finished; Harry is finished and we will put the metaphorical cuffs on 0zer0 and read him his rights until we can retire him to his Library. I wonder whether they’ve saved the columns?

      • http://firefox Martha Washington Collier

PS, that includes the right to remain silent. If only.

      • felizarte

YES! But let us be first inured to being called rascists. It’s only word-chaff. We will trumpet truth about his advisers, friends, associates, agenda, his background. The truth can only help the country.

      • FranSC

Well, Martha, that all sounds optimistic, but the reality is unless the caucus states are policed by someone we are looking at a repeat of 2008(it won’t be the DNC since they helped promote the caucus fraud and/or turned a blind eye and deaf ear to the thousands and thousands of complaints they received.)

It was just as bad in many primary states at the local level – the county and state conventions were taken over by the 0bama campaign, aka, MoveOn.org where they brought in out-of-state and county people who also took over those meetings. The grass roots organizations obviously took their lead from “community organizers”. Even 0bama, the candidate, would speak to his local organizers telling them to go to those county and state conventions. They were further instructed to get delegates to switch candidates at those conventions. A good example of that was Hillary won the NV caucuses on the day of the Caucuses, but there was a campaign to get those delegates for the other candidates to switch to 0bama. They did. At the NV State Convention, 0bama won the most delegates.

So, we have a huge challenge ahead. It will have to be a citizens effort. It won’t come from the powers that be.

        • Texas Playwright

Good idea, FranSC. I think the primaries are run by the state Secretaries of State and the caucuses are run by the DNC. It might be a good idea to double check this. It’s not too early to have the list ready.

    • http://www.rabblerouserruminations.blogspot.com/ Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy

:-) Deep breaths, Sawbuck – we’re here with you!

Bronwyn’s Harbor, this is a fantastic video – what a measured response Eagleburger gave, though you could TELL he was dying to say so, so much more; Even when he was asked abt the difference in Administrations, and he said he was struggling to say because there were SO MANY…

And once again, Greta has the best interviews…

      • AMERICAN SAWBUCK

Thanks guys the deep breathing will have to do until 2010.
I hope 2010 proves to be an election that handcuffs this ego maniac until he is gone forever…and yes I believe that Meesechelle has the original columns in the basement of the Chicago mansion
I bet Eagleburger must have given Greta an earful when the cameras stopped. Wish I could of heard what he REALLY said.

  • Ferd Berfle

Eagleburger has an excellent grasp of the issues. In addition, his declaration that Obama needs to shut up was both appropriate and long overdue.

    • felizarte

Eagleburger has an excellent grasp of the issues. In addition, his declaration that Obama needs to shut up was both appropriate and long overdue.

But FerdB, how else could he get on TV? I bet that Obama would make a lousy interviewer because that allows the interviewee to give answers while Obama has to listen.

I wonder if the word, Olympics is now taboo around him and Michelle.

      • Ferd Berfle

So true. And I suspect that he is still having a tantrum over the IOC turning him down cold, the petulant, puling 5-year old he appears to be. Yes, I’d say that any mention of that little shindig in 2016 is definitely off-limits.

        • TeakWoodKite

It will stick in his craw like when the big kids threw him the “creek” in Indoniesia as a boy. He swore he’d get even.

      • trixta

Has Obama given the Olympics committee the middle-finger salute yet? I’ll bet he resents their use of the “O” (i.e. the multiple circles) in their official logo, since “O”bama probably hoped to replace it with his won “O” logo, etc.

        • Lyn

He’s probably trying to think of an excuse to make our team boycoot the Rio Olympics, since they dissed him.

This video is just so sad. I can not believe what the DNC did to our Country by stealing this for him, and WHY? because of their petty jealousy of the Clintons?

  • pm317

Thank you for bringing this up. The bottom line is this: there is no leadership, no direction, and no roadmap coming from the WH. Well, I have a post coming up later in the evening where I talk about how stupid (sic) Obamas’ speeches to the IOC were. They could not even make a simple argument to IOC as to why Chicago. How can we expect them to make arguments for Iran, North Korea, Afghanistan, or Pakistan, or healthcare or economy.. It is getting very old and tired in only a matter of 9 months. It is pretty scary.

    • trixta

Obama couldn’t make a substantive argument for Chicago to the IOC because he has no substance, only sound bites and lofty platitudes.

      • Lana

What’s scarier to me is that every time I leave this sane little bubble at NQ, I run into people who STILL somehow believe that this man is the greatest speaker ever, and the greatest president ever. It’s all I can do not to shake them.

        • Ferd Berfle

You’re travelling through another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound, but of mind…a journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. That’s the signpost up ahead…your next stop,
          THE OBAMA ZONE!

(My sincerest apologies to Rod Serling).

          • Lana

I’m sure Rod would be flattered–although this is a world even HE couldn’t have dreamed up!

            • Ferd Berfle

although this is a world even HE couldn’t have dreamed up!

You are so correct. Rod wasn’t a sadist or a masochist. But the story line fits–up to a point.

    • rw

      -no direction-

IMO, that is the most disturbing because it means they (Obama & his Chicago crew) don’t know wtf they are doing. How unfortunate that in the US political structure there isn’t a vote of no confidence mechanism.

    • FranSC

pm317, the pathetic truth is they didn’t feel they HAD to make a case for Chicago to the IOC. They honestly thought just being there in all their presumed glory was enough. He and obviously Michelle thought it was all about them. And because they thought the IOC would a-d-o-r-e them as they think all 400 million Americans do, that would put the Olympics in Chicago in 2016.

I can still see the sour expression on the IOC official’s face who announced Chicago’s elimination – not just that they were eliminated, but they received less votes than any of the rest. What a rude awakening that had to be – well, that is, if they have any sense at all. I just hope they (and Oprah) felt as humiliated as they should have felt. They and Daley looked like 2 cents worth after that.

      • brendy

        **
ABSOLUTELY! It looked to me like the official was disgusted even to mention ‘Chicago’. After that arrogant speech given by Obama (which was all about HIMSELF and NOT about the spirit of the olympics itself or even the city of Chicago), who could blame the voters for shunning such a ‘full of himself’ person?

  • Tess

Brilliant, depressing interview. Thanks for the post.

It feels like this is the way administration officials USED to talk, as if they had thought issues through, with a knowledge of American AND world history.

This is the way Hillary speaks.

  • d2i

Grown ups, such as Eagleburger, have the ability to assess a doer vs a talker. The chief skill you are taught as a community organizer is “empowering” those in your sphere of influence. Once empowered, then you direct. It’s the bottom up theory so popular in the 90s. It works in a community but not as the leader of the free world. Geesh!

Eagleburger summed up the concerns I’ve had about 0 for what seems like forever. He lacks the natural timber that makes a leader. You either are a leader or you are not. It’s not something one can learn. This is why so many of us can remember having such neophytes and lousy bosses in our work history. He’s not a leader.

o/t but thought I’d mention that jbjd has a new SC complaint up. She has been working with a gal named Dawn from SC who FOIA’d primary and general certification/ballot and learned that their state code specifically spells out “federal” eligibility requirements for both ballots. Y’all will remember Fowler and the SC primary. Fowler and others are named in the complaint. To learn more visit jbjd dot wordpress dot com.

    • NoBamaNoWay

      good.

    • Lyn

I was reading that earlier today, good work.

    • FranSC

Thank you for this link. SC is still in a huge mess with 0bama people dominating everything at the grass roots level, thanks to the political criminal, Columbia SC Rep. James Clyburn. I’m hesitant to go to any of the organizational meetings for fear I will be in a physical fight before the meeting ends. However, if anything is to change we MUST go AND speak out!

  • barry bums a ciggie

Eagleburger is right about Barack, shut up and don’t talk until he know what it is that he wants. Frankly, I just want him to shut up period. I’m tired of seeing his head ping-pong from left to right reading that teleprompter. Everyone is tired of his “words”.

    • tango

Exactly. If he wasn’t talking, I’d think he was watching a game of tennis!

BUT he’s the bestest ever speaker in the whole wide world!!!

      • FranSC

The only difference in 0bama and Bush in terms of speaking ability is 0bama has a better command of the language. But in terms of waiting until he knows what he wants to do before he speaks, I’m not sure when 0bama will be there. I think he is clueless.

Bill Clinton said on Larry King this past week that no one comes to the presidency knowing how to govern as POTUS. But this is ridiculous and dangerous.

  • Texas Playwright

Two essential elements Bill and Hillary have that bho the fraud lacks–a deep and broad knowledge and experience of American history sifting through towering intellect and core values and principles, and the ability to GET THINGS DONE.

The Clintons know what to do and they do it. Simple, but not always easy.

    • jackie

      Yes.

The Clinton’s know the history of our country, our foreign policy, and what has been done to maintain our security Post WWII.

Obama seems to know little about our past, and what he does know he disregards as mistakes. You don’t get any sense that he picked up a history book or followed current events during his life.

Obama just seems totally clueless about America and it’s role in the world.

I cannot believe he is POTUS.

      • FranSC

He was too busy studying world history and how to change it to fit the “New World Order”.

  • http://noquarter foxyladi14

the difference between potus and the Clintons,

  • jbjd

Bronwyn’s Harbor, this was unsettling, to say the least. Any one of dozen lines could be a headline quote. Now, thanks to you, I ‘must find’ and ‘watch’ the rest of this interview.

Please, help me get BO out of there! File complaints of election fraud already posted in applicable states. (And look up the laws in your state to find out whether you are eligible, too; if you are, I will draft the complaint!) http://jbjd.wordpress.com

    • http://www.sonicninjakitty.wordpress.com Sonic Ninja Kitty

The most hilariously hideous thing, though, is that if Obama is out, BIDEN is in. And then it’s Pelosi. Oh wow, when America screws up, it screws up big time!

      • Ferd Berfle

At least Biden has no issues centering around mixed allegiances as That One does. I’d take my chances with him–at least he has a real BC.

      • jbjd

But when BO leaves office, Biden is only POTUS for a second when he gets to pick his VP, subject to ratification by Congress. Guess whom he would pick? NP only steps in if she is still Speaker when BO goes down and, in the split second it takes to nominate HRC and get her confirmed, something happens to BO. FYI, we are working on NP, too. After all, she is an integral part of the election fraud that we have now charged to state A’sG. (Hint: She cannot be Impeached but can be removed by her peers.)
        http://jbjd.wordpress.com

        • Ferd Berfle

I am cognizant of that little pesky fact. However, I stand by my statement. Given the choice, I’d still rather have Biden than That One, irrespective of who is VP. Any challenge to the validity of That One holding office (and his VP by proxy and NP due to malfeasance) is likely to drag on for years (and years and years). I get your drift and agree. However, I’m working with stone-cold reality here and not a utopian ideal where the bad guys get theirs immediately.

          • Lana

I reluctantly agree with you, Ferd. The irony here is the voters clearly said early on they didn’t want Biden to be president. Can’t we take a shower and find out this was all a dream??

            • Ferd Berfle

              Don’t I wish. Certainly

        • Lyn

Thank You so much for all the work you are doing. I passed your link around, hopefully it helps get more complaints filed

  • candymarl

Everyone, even Gore Vidal that thinks Obama is so intelligent, keeps saying how smart Obama is.

Bill Clinton was a Rhodes Scholar. You don’t get that by being stupid, or uninformed, or uneducated.

Obama is what my aunt would call an educated idiot. In other words, degrees but with no practical or life experience to back it up.

Obama can speechify all day but he has no experience with leadership of any kind. Obama himself admitted that his only leadership experience is running a campaign.

News flash Mr. President. Running a nation is not the same as campaigning for office. If Obama had real experience he would know that. But you can’t teach someone what they don’t know or refuse to learn.

    • hokma

I agree that Clinton is completely self-made and had no assistance in his rise from a lower middle class up bringing in the deep south. He proved himself to be a leader at a young age and all the way through Governor, prior to being President. There is nothing artificial or superficial about Bill Clinton.

Obama has never led anything in his life. His resume is amazingly shallow prior to being elected President. His education amounts to being accepted to Occidental College before getting a transfer to Columbia through their affirmative action transfer program. And Harvard was of course through connections – not through merit.

    • FranSC

0bama didn’t even *run* his own campaign. All the facets that came together in some miraculous way was irrespective of 0bama and his Chicago campaign team/gang.

      1) 0bama did not run MoveOn.org’s $40M campaign – George Soros did. They organized the rallies and the fraudulent caucuses.
      2) 0bama had nothing to do with choosing the San Francisco venture capitalist company used by Nancy Pelosi in 2006 – Pelosi was the causal effect of that union that raised the $750M, beginning in 2007. The first money raised in 2007 paid off the super delegates handsomely to get them in line for him.
      3) The Dem leadership covertly ran its campaign promoting B0, supporting the caucus fraud.
4)The unions ran their own campaign for him.
      5) The media ran its own dispicable 0bama campaign.
6)race-card/baiting team was connected to his Chicago group and was very effective. Who knows what else.

      • Lana

        Excellent points.

  • Karen

Hey American Sawbuk: I’m in for a revolt, a revolution. I’m so sick of obama – he stands for nothing except himself. He understands nothing. He’s naive, he wasn’t ready for the job. He’s nothing but a stooge for the financial industry and the healthcare industry and God knows what else. Let’s kick him out in the next election – and I mean hard.

    • AMERICAN SAWBUCK

I’m with you sister a good swift kick in the !@# would be just the ticket!

is there any way we can bring a class action suit against this administration for fraud, misuse of public funds, misuse of the office of president, unwillingness to provide proof of eligibility, using campaign funds to cover this up,appointing criminals as czars with no vetting, refusal to produce previous records of education, passing laws and bills against the will of the american public, making false statements (his lies are to numerous to list) etc. etc.? are there any lawyers out there brave enough to take this on?

I haven’t heard the word trifler in years. I’ll have to commit it to memory as it is absolutely priceless. The juxtaposition between who That One thinks he is and what he really is as categorized by that word is stunning. Slacker ain’t bad, either, and I’ve used it often and in conjunction with the other useful pejorative, shiftless.

And thanks for the mental exercise. Some people find this sort of thing dull–I find it fascinating.

Glad to offer a scintillating respite from the intellectually harrowing reality of our collective plight. (Don’t you just love words?!)

For the life of me, I can’t imagine why so many people think BO is such a great orator. Between his solecistic abuses of the English language (another gem to add to your arsenal) and, uuuuh, faltering delivery, I can only tolerate him in sound bites. And what’s the deal with that bizarre Southern accent he seems to adopt when he feels cornered? The more emphatic his statement, the stronger the drawl. Have you noticed that?

Winston Churchill, Anwar Sadat, Patrick Henry, MLK… and Barack Obama? I THINK NOT!
My idea of history’s great orators was summed up for me years ago by an apt description of one of my college professors: “Most people speak in poetry. He speaks in paragraphs.” Mull that over. It’s a truly profound observation.

          • Witzend

My original response appears to have vanished in cyberspace.

At any rate, I’m always glad to furnish a scintillating respite from the intellectually harrowing reality of our collective plight.

              Don’t you just love words?

I do. Words are like music, with the exception that everyone has the ability to play a melody with a bit of practice.

At any rate, I’m always glad to furnish a scintillating respite from the intellectually harrowing reality of our collective plight.

Do I detect a bit of the native’s Queen’s English, here?

              • Witzend

“Do I detect a bit of the native’s Queen’s English, here?”

A very keen observation, but, if you do it’s just an occupational hazard; I’m pursuing my Ph.D. in English Renaissance drama. Then, of course, there was my parents’ home, where one rarely, if ever, got away with lexical or solecistic abuses of the English language.

Much like perfect pitch in music (I liked your analogy), it’s a mixed blessing, particularly since most people can’t speak English anymore.

                • Ferd Berfle

Much like perfect pitch in music (I liked your analogy), it’s a mixed blessing, particularly since most people can’t speak English anymore.

    • FranSC

“Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon’em.” W. Shakespeare

Thank you for this gem. I can’t think of anything that better describes the current POTUS whose background has been misinterpreted as proof of greatness.

Instead, his background is proof that if you have the right advisors who can lead you to little known resources, anyone can create such a background. In addition, B0 had the benefit of Affirmative Action that his career-student parents didn’t have. He simply manipulated the system just as he and his powerful supporters did in the 2008 election cycle. He has a long history of looking more successful than he actually is.

    Unsettling and worse.

We have a man at our helm that has no moral compass whatsoever….

Not sure what else to say.

    SYD

    • Ferd Berfle

Well, Syd, I concur, but let’s see if we can add just a few:

      -He has no work ethic
-He talks far too much about things of which he knows very little
-He finds time for flitting about here and there but has no time for those whom he commands
-He can talk to an audience about himself until their collective ears fall off but needs a kick in the arse to answer a direct question in a forthright manner
-He lies as a matter of course
-He has a collection of friends who are even worse than he is

I’m actually longing for Dubya and his foibles. At least his fracturing of the English language was both funny and somehow endearing. That One needs to throw some food on those families whose breadwinner(s) aren’t working and have no prospects of working as long as he is in office.

      • imustprotest

        Obama is a pseudo intellectual.

        • Ferd Berfle

He’s also Version 0.0 of the Stepford President, a new sort of Manchurian Candidate, as it were.

  • candymarl

Obama was given the benefit of the doubt even by those that didn’t vote for him.

    This is just sad.

Stop speechifying Mr. President and get to work.

Why did the General have to go to Copenhagen to talk with him? I think it was a power play to show that the General had to come to him.

PS. If Michelle is giving you advice or running the show – well you’ve seen the results so far. Just saying.

    • Ferd Berfle

Stop speechifying Mr. President and get to work.

He can’t, candymarl. His mother and grandmother apparently didn’t instill in him any sort of get up and go and a set of ethical standards by which to conduct himself. He seems to have spent his entire life getting by with the help of others (more than likely by promising to let them have their cut at power or money, etc.). He’s no doer; he’s a taker, a talker, and a parasite on the body politic.

    • b mathews

the only reason he met with the general was because of all the bad publicity he was getting for not talking to him. so as much as he says he didnt know about acorn getting all that money (one of his bigger lies) it just proves that he follows all that bad publicity. after he brushed off stefanopolus’s question regarding acorn, no one else in the msm has had the nerve to question him about this. it took 2 young inexperienced kids to bring acorn down and make the msm look like the fools they are. have they no shame at all? when they get disgusted enough of being pawns for the ONE and finally find the guts to do some serious investigating and reporting, they will eat him alive. i live for that day.

Here is the new problem facing the Chicago thugs in Washington:

Now that the easy funnel route for billions of stimulous money was lost yesterday by Chicago being ousted in the first round for the Olympics, a new format is needed by Obama et al to funnel billions to all the crooks in Chicago, after all Obama’s Chicago thugs manipulated the almost billion dollars to get him into the WH, now it is payback time before the next election cycle next year!

Eagleburger’s words are some of the most condemning I’ve seen or heard about this pres.

He basically calls B0 ignorant, uniformed, non-decisive (because he doesn’t know what he’s doing), and a blathering idiot. People are no longer mincing their words. They’re saying what we’ve been saying and while it’s validating, it’s really frightening to know that world leaders are probably thinking the same thing.

We are vulnerable. If Hillary and others are not able to step in and cover B0′s incompetence by acting to do the right things–taking the 3am calls, in other words, we are in big trouble.

I like Eagleburger. He was on the Iraq Study Group. He said if Bush attacked Iran, he’d be impeached in 15 minutes.

I know what he means. When people ask me, ‘why not Obama?’, I say ‘where do I start?’ On my Top 20 Reasons, ‘no grasp of nor commitment to U.S. superpower’ is way up there.

This is the same as I have been feeling. There’s a lot of talk with no substance. The whole issue of health care should have been settled by now. Obama seems very indecisive which is disconcerting. If we can see it here, I’m sure other countries can see it as well.

    The video is not working…

      got it, thanks.

My favorite line: Shut up until you decide! So true–he talks and talks and talks, and what is accomplished? He is not a strong leader–he is a salesman and a preacher.

    Thanks Bronwyn!
Shortly after the inauguration, a large number of former ambassadors and diplomats convened at the White House. It must have been primarily a photo shoot.
Obama seems to think that Biden is a veritable fount of knowledge, but if necessary, he thinks Hillary will bail him out!
His fans say he is level-headed…I say he is hard-headed. We are up the creek without a paddle!

The comparative between Vietnam and Iraq went on before, now it is between Vietnam and Afghanistan. The former is a clearer comparative. The latter is not so clear, the US is not the only country with thousands of troops in Afgh. But, Obama is not a leader, he has failed to provide leadership in the multinational Afghanistan involvement. I hope the Brits step up to the plate. This from BBC:

Lib Dems urge Afghan policy shift

The war in Afghanistan cannot be won unless current policies are changed, the Liberal Democrats have said.

In a joint newspaper article, party leader Nick Clegg and former leader Lord Ashdown accuse the international community of lacking a united strategy.

The article, in the Guardian, says Nato is “a hotch potch of the committed and the half hearted” and calls for the UK to appoint an Afghanistan minister.

They also call for a war cabinet to be established by the UK government.

Eagleburger’s honesty is refreshing. Finally, a politician not afraid to speak the truth about Obama.

I have a slightly different view why Obama can’t articulate his policies or agenda. They are radical. If Obama told the American people that he plans to nationalize HC and other industries, giving bureaucrats the power over our lives, he would be impeached in a minute.

The HC debacle is a perfect example of Obama’s deceitfulness. What the Dems plan to do is merge two Senate bills together, attach them to a Tarp House bill, and jam a public option HC plan with taxes down our throats.

We pay their salaries, the Obamas frivolous trips, health care and so on, and they are going to ram a health bill through the back door. What bothers me is that Obama, the Democrats, and the criminal media league consider us dumb. But, this is our country too and they can be voted out and lose their abusive media careers.

I watched this on Greta as well. I can’t help but feel more afraid everyday for us and our nation. It seems we have no control in the outcome.

    He was spot on.

We have the most incompetent boob in the world running our nation.

Sigh…I feel so ‘safe’ when someone like this man speaks. Someone with experience, someone who has been there, done that…yet, we end up with a rookie who has no idea how to lead??? This is scary.

Eagleburger said last year, following the election, that the country had elected a charlatan. Obviously, he had little respect for Obama’s “intelligience” and/or leadership capabilities from the very start.

One thing that struck me about the Greta S. interview was how poorly Eagleburger looked. He’s lost a tremendous amount of weight and looks haggard in the face. Certainly doesn’t diminish his words but I wonder if the man is sick and has decided to hit the airways with both barrels blazing.

He didn’t like Barack Obama before and he sure as hell doesn’t like him or his policies and lack of diplimatic and strategic vision now. Gore Vidal has also expressed his disappointment in what he’s seeing and hearing and regrets his switch from supporting Hillary Clinton to Barack Obama.

I predicted earlier that the day would come when a majority of Americans would deny they supported this man or fell for the happy talk.

Maybe this is the beginning of the howl. Obama’s popularity polls have fallen to the 50th percentile. For his policies? Far lower. Independents are bailing in stunning numbers [and frankly, I think that's the voting block to watch].

Bronwyn, had another post gobbled by the spammy monster. Sending an e-mail now.

I’ve been away two days so can’t say anything that will add to the discussion at this time. I just enjoyed so much Eagleburger finally saying “Shut Up!” to the POTUS. I say the same thing every time I see a minute of his talking head on T.V. I say, “Shut Up!”; then I turn the channel.

Eagleberger is a smart man. He saw Obama for what he was early on:

If I have said it once, I have said it 1000 times….Obama is an empty suite…. It is “amateur hour” at the White House, and it will destroy this country if he doesn’t start getting a clue, stop “campaigning” and start leading from the center-right rather than from the extreme left as he has been doing. It is my considered opinion, however that he is incapable of doing this and has lost the initiative that he had when he was sworn in back in January. Not a single piece of significant legislation has been passed since the so-called “stimulus” was passed, putting us another TRILLION dollars or more in debt, and he is completely distracted and diverted in so many directions I don’t think he can focus any longer, nor does he seem to have any coherent plan beyond campaign rhetoric, which still seems to be his stock in trade. He is a “community organizer” not a world class leader that we need in these tumultuous times. God save the Republic!!!
