I sure as hell know I am. Oh, and all photos came from this Huffington Post site – where else, unless it was MSNBC? Ahem. There are plenty more, if you wish to go see them. I know you’re surprised by that.

I tell you who I would rather see. While the Obamas and their pal, Oprah, you know, the one who anointed Obama as The One, were wasting our tax dollars on a trip no other president has made EVER, there was someone who was hard at work for the country. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, of course, as the photos* below make clear. She was meeting with Dr. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, who is the Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, to discuss issues related to Muslim relations around the world. Here she is greeting him:

Look at how he looks at her. We have seen this look of respect from leaders all around the world. They know what so many of us know – this woman is no political lightweight. She is brilliant, she is knowledgeable, and she is capable. She will get the job done, no hemming and hawing around, no sirree.

    There is a reason why Hillary Clinton is working for Barack and Michelle Obama. Obama is much more accomplished, intelligent, composed, articulate, savvy, and fashionable. I do think Hillary still have a viable political future, and she is doing the right thing by gaining valuable experience and learning from probably the most savvy political master of our time.

I cannot listen to nor stand to look at either one of them. The O’s are frauds from top to bottom, wolves in sheep’s clothing. I am tired of the Chosen One being in apology mode wherever he goes. He was an embarassment to Chicago when in Copenhagen (as a Chicago resident who has lived here all my life, in all due respect, the Obamas do not have a clue as to what Chicago is all about, and they should not have been representing me or my city).     Trying to talk sense on this site is a loser’s game, FF. Certain things, on NQ, are simply true and always will be true:

    1. Obama didn’t win the election; he stole it. Leave aside that HRC began the primaries with over 100 super-delegates and Obama began with zero; on NQ, the Democratic establishment was on Obama’s side all along.

    2. Obama’s campaign engaged in race-baiting. HRC’s did not.

    3. Obama is stupid, unqualified, incompetent, unAmerican, a socialist, and a fascist, all at once.

    And then there are all the corollaries that follow from these truths:

    The Clintons’ health care plan in 1993 was great. Obamacare sucks, because it’s too socialist. Leave aside that the Clintons’ plan was more socialist than the most likely plan to come before Obama later this year: these things are simply true. Get it? And there is soooooo little point in trying to suggest otherwise.

    No, jbjd, not in this post nor any of the posts I write. Rather, it was more a celebration of Sec. Clinton and the respect she engenders with leaders around the world.

    Maybe some snark with the “being tired of seeing the Obamas” incessantly, but other than that… :-)

    Unfortunately, incivility has become all too common over the past few years.

    I certainly urge everyone to try to maintain a civil tone, even when the trolls continue their baiting. They love nothing more than for us to get worked up. I say, don’t give them the satisfaction (though I admit, I do sometimes myself, as I did above – I just cannot let the false charge that Hillary used “racist tactics” go by the wayside, so believe you me, I understand the temptation). FWIW…

    In fact a visit to the homeless shelter @ Christmas this year with my daughter is a must on my list. It helps to see and keep in perspective how many are suffering during the economic meltdown we all need to reach out to hep in someway!

    I like to think that married couples should show and give affection freely in a tasteful manner, but with the Obama’s it tends to be a photo opportunity , there are no stolen moments only moment that were meant to be seen by a camera. I have seen George Bush and Laura Bush exchange very little public affection and now i realize that’s who they were, just as Obama’s are opportunists .

People have felt that it was a lack of respect for the Olympics and sport in general. He clearly won the battle in the media, but it turned out indeed to be indifferent. IOC members did not feel important, and they were indeed reduced to spectators and not players.     OK, that last word likely is a poor substitute for what the guy said. (UPDATE: A reader said buttering up is likely what is meant.)

    Obama was the first president to make such a plea. But Obama showed dumb diplomacy. He was ill-prepared and his staff failed to lay the foundation for his appearance. He came off as an ugly American who knew nothing about the territory and who felt the world somehow owed him something.

    I am bored with the tiresome and staged photos and videos of THE Couple, about whom MSM prints exaggerated comments regarding their dress and beauty … “the most fabulous, beautiful, and fashionably dressed couple since the Kennedys,” says the Press. Listen; there is nothing about BO and MO that is like the Kennedys; they were unique in many ways. Barack and Michelle are ordinarily attractive people, as were W. and Laura, Bill and Hillary, H.W. and Barbara, Jimmy and Rosalyn, Gerry and Betty, Dick and Pat, and the list goes on. This particular First Couple represents nothing that can’t be easily assembled with the aid of clothes designers, makeup artists, hair stylists, and handlers of every mention.
    MO is a large woman with an exaggerated underbite whose clothes grab tight upon her hips, and BO is a an effeminate man with an ugly mole on his face – these are ordinary and personal imperfections that we all have and should not be ignored by the media in a race to describe them as the most beautiful people ever – they aren’t. MO often dresses inappropriately and unfashionably and comments about her should be held rather than exalted to a degree where most recognize the truth when they see it.

    Yeah, you’re right. A black candidate used racism to defeat a white candidate in a white-majority country. And when Bill Clinton compared Obama’s victory in South Carolina to Jesse Jackson’s victory there, that was evidence of Obama’s racism. Same as when Hillary talked about “white Americans” supporting her — that was Obama’s racist tactics rearing their ugly head. Of course. How silly of me.

    You’re in denial. I like the Clintons (a lot) and don’t believe they have a racist drop between them. I do, however, think that by that point in the primaries they knew HRC was in trouble and were willing to try almost anything to shift the tide in her favor.
