Obama Giving Gays an Unwelcome Blow Job

(Bumped up from midnight Saturday.)

Sorry, but is the gay community really this stupid? How in God’s name do they applaud this clown and his “promises:”

“I will end ‘don’t ask-don’t tell,’” Obama said to a standing ovation from the crowd of about 3,000 at the annual dinner of the Human Rights Campaign, a gay civil rights advocacy group.

Sorry, but those who stood and cheered must also be the same ones who believe it is silly to use a condom to prevent the spread of STDs. They must be the same ones who will fork over thousands of dollars to buy the Brooklyn Bridge. They must be the same ones who believe that Larry Craig is really heterosexual. They also insist that Santa is real and that pots full of gold wait for Leprechaun lovers at the end of Finnegan’s rainbow.

Gay people!! Listen up. If you keep enabling this fraud then you deserve what you have coming–which, to put it simply, is more frustration and disappointment.

Barack Obama could have fulfilled his promise and ended “don’t ask, don’t tell” the minute he was sworn in. He did not. He will not. The man is a coward and a liar.

For me, my position is clear. The sexual orientation of someone is irrelevant to their ability to serve this country in the military. Enough of the discrimination. If you are not angry enough over this then I suggest you tune in to some Rage Against the Machine and catch the vibe:

And if you can’t follow the lyrics here’s the cheat sheet (sing along):

Come on!
Uggh!

Come on, although ya try to discredit
Ya still never read it
The needle, I’ll thread it
Radically poetic
Standin’ with the fury that they had in ’66
And like E-Double I’m mad
Still knee-deep in the system’s shit
Hoover, he was a body remover
I’ll give ya a dose
But it can never come close
To the rage built up inside of me
Fist in the air, in the land of hypocrisy

Movements come and movements go
Leaders speak, movements cease
When their heads are flown
‘Cause all these punks
Got bullets in their heads
Departments of police, the judges, the feds
Networks at work, keepin’ people calm
You know they went after King
When he spoke out on Vietnam
He turned the power to the have-nots
And then came the shot

Yeah!
Yeah, back in this…
Wit’ poetry, my mind I flex
Flip like Wilson, vocals never lackin’ dat finesse
Whadda I got to, whadda I got to do to wake ya up
To shake ya up, to break the structure up
‘Cause blood still flows in the gutter
I’m like takin’ photos
Mad boy kicks open the shutter
Set the groove
Then stick and move like I was Cassius
Rep the stutter step
Then bomb a left upon the fascists
Yea, the several federal men
Who pulled schemes on the dream
And put it to an end
Ya better beware
Of retribution with mind war
20/20 visions and murals with metaphors
Networks at work, keepin’ people calm
Ya know they murdered X
And tried to blame it on Islam
He turned the power to the have-nots
And then came the shot

Uggh!
What was the price on his head?
What was the price on his head!

I think I heard a shot
I think I heard a shot
I think I heard a shot
I think I heard a shot
I think I heard a shot
I think I heard, I think I heard a shot

‘He may be a real contender for this position should he
abandon his supposed obediance to white liberal doctrine
of non-violence…and embrace black nationalism’
‘Through counter-intelligence it should be possible to
pinpoint potential trouble-makers… and neutralize them.
Through counter-intelligence it should be possible to
pinpoint potential trouble-makers… and neutralize them
and neutralize them, and neutralize them, and neutralize them’

Wake up! Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!
Wake up! Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!

How long? Not long, cause what you reap is what you sow

  • Elder Jane

excellent fucking song larry. you nailed this one.

Wake up! Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!
Wake up! Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!

How long? Not long, cause what you reap is what you sow

The Government needs to get out of our personal lives, no matter WHAT party they are from.

    And just govern, not DICTATE.
I don’t give a shit if gays are in the military or if they get married. I’m conservative, but I don’t get into social issues, just fiscal and power issues.

I hate both parties. Clean up house.

Oh, and I’m sorry, Larry, but I hate metal music. And rap. Oh, and bluegrass.
Taste differences don’t mean we all can’t get along!

  • Elder Jane

    RATM ain’t metal

  • Jackarooty

    Direct from foxnews.com:

    Obama Says He’ll End
    ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’

President says he’s working to end the military policy, but offers no timetable or specifics for acting on the pledge.

I think we should give that man another medal.

  • socalannie

I hate both parties. Clean up house.

    Well said Tammy!

btw, Jane, I looked up RATM, cuz it sounds like metal to me & wiki called it “Rap Metal”?!?

  • socalannie

Ted Casablanca, who is a gay gossip columnist on E had a post up yesterday condemning Barry for failing the gay community. He also said he didn’t deserve the NPP, for which he took a lot of flack. I think Ted was a Hillary supporter.

  • http://firefox Martha Washington Collier

But, but, but He Really, Really Wants To. Really.

Why make this vapid, empty statement again? Trying to counter the “done nothing” (obviously a fallacy) charge?

If he really meant it, and because he can take care of this with the stroke of a pen, his statement would have been: “In keeping with my campaign promise, tonight I have rescinded the Don’t ask, Don’t tell policy which discriminated against homosexuals in the military.”

Instead they cheered words, just words. Since I just wrote the statement he should have given, I believe I have shown enough authenticity to be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.

  • http://firefox Martha Washington Collier

btw, Even when I was a Democrat, I was an REAL Liberal. I don’t believe government should have a role in sex, abortion, or have any reason to be making laws for or against. It’s none of their business.

  • painkilleJayne

Obama said it was no secret “our progress may be taking longer than you’d like.” He followed this by asking supporters to trust his administration’s course.

    Snake oil salesman………….

  • painkilleJayne

Barry is a fraud………………hook line and sinker.

  • http://firefox Martha Washington Collier

Flim Flam Man does it again.

  • painkilleJayne

How about we give him the medal of Cowardice………….That seems appropriate

  • painkilleJayne

We’re the world’s most successful revolutionaries — nearly 200 years ahead of the liberation curve. We bow to no one. If you bow to your own President, you’ll bow to a foreign invader.

Some intellectual posted this here earlier today………..they were so right.

Flim Flam man……………. a good call.

  • TeakWoodKite

I’ve down in the basement peeling taters,

Did BO actually say when he would do this “nobel” act? Did he say on Tuesday at twelve?

Larry Spot on\. They swore to uphold the Constitution and do a do the job. They are Americans and have a constitutionally acknowledged right to serve.

  • http://firefox Martha Washington Collier

I, too, thought that was an excellent comment.

  • HARP

Is Obama planning a military career after the White House?

  • rochester

Ironic that you would post a Rage against the Machine song. Those a-holes are perfectly in line with Ayers, Van Jones, Rev “God Damn America”, etc. I can’t stomach listening to their communist, anti-white BS for more than 5 seconds.

  • Chelsea Patriot

    Watch The Teeth, Barry.

  • elizabethrc

For the life of me I don’t understand why, after all of the publicity about how empty Obama’s words are, these people would make the same mistake his supporters made during and after the campaign.
They believed every word out of his mouth and even seeing that he has delivered on nothing, they continue to believe…..in what????!!!!

If the gay community is so foolish as to get swept up in the euphoria Obama creates, they will be getting what they deserve….which is a big nothing.
Obama is never going to stop with the speeches because he knows what ever good snake oil salesman knows…if you get the people excited enough, all sense of reason leaves and they’ll buy as many bottles of oil as you want them to.

Cure this disease called Obama adoration with a dose of reality, please. This is nothing more than an actor on a stage, playing a part. He is as much interested in YOUR interests as John Wayne was in being a true hero (no, he played a hero in movies, not in life).

  • Katmoon

You got taters? We got taters and maters. Sorry the language cracks me up. Moving from Wa state to TN, and learning the lingo. I love how we speak as Americans, it is rich and beautiful and very descriptive of where we are; in many ways.
Just like saying someone one “will” do something as opposed to having done something. It is like the one is collecting his “gays”, so offensive, so very demeaning in so many ways. How can anyone who has been a student of civl rights play such a game with people, with a straight face. Simply put there is no right of anyone or group of adults to decide who is more deserving than any other group of our society,IMHO.. The internal homophobia within the gay black community itself is very telling; speaking as one with a gay father, and growing up with a gay father, who served. I watched over the years my fathers friends, who were openly gay, and those who couldn’t be comfortable even within the gay community.
It seemed far more difficult for the black friends to actually be out than my fathers other friends.
The one is no friend to any group or cause. If what he does, cannot provide him a boost to either ego, resume or pay check, he starts his manipulation of language.
He has a pattern now, that is predictable. He is deliberate in slow moving, as to appear thoughtful, but rather using the language tricks he believes will magically correct the situation; as well as buying time allowing one of his lap dogs to run cover, drop off the media talking points, and begin the back room arm twisting with promises to the particular group/or groups related by opposition.
It is manufactured concern, with the “promise” of what Santa will deliver Christmas morning.

I think Barry was confused. He thought it was the annual PRESS dinner…

  • Cathy6224

Obama never intended to do anything for the gay community. He is just trying to appease us for his 2012 run for re-election.

It could have been accomplished if he wanted to. He does not need congress’ approval or anything. It is just a matter of signing an executive order.

  • Cathy6224

Oh by the way, I didn’t vote for him in 2008, never believed a word he said because upon checking his record. His words did not match his voting record or actions.

  • carolhaka

Just another example of throwing “putrid meat to the hungry”!

Hey, “he gave what he had”.

Sickening display of another “lecture pointing the blame for inaction towards someone else”.

But ya know what, I think this is a good thing in the long run. Some people can be warned about impending disaster, while others have to have their nose shoved into the mess as a daily reminder that they should have predicted the obvious.

I have a brother and sister that have to still hit their head on every wall to see if it is going to hurt.

Maybe people will get sick enough from every angle to decide this moron is just that, “a moron”.

I haven’t listened to Rage Against the Machine since my younger son left the nest. I forgot bout this song. Thanks for reminding me; and it IS appropriate here.

BO is such a sad, dangerous joke.

  • glennmcgahee

Funny, but the speech he gave is almost the exact same one he gave while campaigning. I really think they didn’t even bother to write a new one. I’m so disappointed in my community. No wonder we fail in all the amendments when Obama stays silent. Twostates have referendums up for a vote that will actually take away what rights we have aquired. Not a peep about those. If this Nobel winner cannot use his influence to help it means he has no intention of doing so ever. He needs those religious wacko votes in 2012 as he’s losing progressives right and left. Maybe he could supply beer and a band for the march today. Nah, he’ll be playin basketball. He never stood up for the gays in Chicago, why would he do it Nationally?

  • Ferd Berfle

Barack Obama could have fulfilled his promise and ended “don’t ask, don’t tell” the minute he was sworn in. He did not. He will not. The man is a coward and a liar.

Four sentences that sum up the That One in his entirety rather nicely. There really is no point in mincing words or splitting hairs any more. Indeed, That One has not lived up to his commitments and will never live up to them because, as you say LJ, That One is a coward and a liar.

Thank you for saying what *really* needed to be said.

  • Ferd Berfle

Drat, lost another comment to the spamberg polizei. Can an Administrator bail me out?

  • Ferd Berfle

Yeah, he’s going to do military info-mercials about con-artist establishments surrounding every military post. That One plays a confidence man….

Oh, wait, he isn’t acting. Mea culpa.

  • creeper

Headlines: “Obaman wins Nobel Peace Prize”
Reaction from the world: “For what?”

    Obama: “I will end DADT.”
    Reaction from gays: “When”

General Stan McChrystal: “I need more troops.”
    Reaction from Obama: “Ummm….”

The emptiness of this administration becomes more apparent every day.

  • creeper

Though I can’t find any polling data online (do gays really matter that little?) I suspect Obama’s approval ratings in the GLBT community are falling. So he gave them his very best…more pretty words.

It’s easy to see why Obama doesn’t get anything done. He’s locked into campaign mode–spending so much time shoring up his ratings that there’s none left for actually doing something.

OTOH, given some of the things he professes wanting to do maybe that’s not a bad thing.

  • ImaLlindatoo

    Excellent LJ. Oh yes.

–>”Sorry, but those who stood and cheered must also be the same ones who believe”

…to finish the rest, and MUST have supported him in the first place.

I mean really, how ignorant and naive can they be. My friends were always a bit more aware of events and realities. Come to think of it, none of them supported the empty One.

And for further proof the loser who loves to say anything for the moment, but never deliver when it’s time. (gee, sounds like a date-I guess that’s all he’s good for-kinda like the movie Roxanne) anyhow, he said “I will end Don’t Ask Don’t Tell“. He said that before, remember? Yes, Yes he did! During the campaignn. And…just like everything else, when he got in office, he backed out. Then he said, Congress has to. So how now can he claim he will…again? Words, just words.

June 2009:But in an interview with CNN, he also argued that the White House was powerless in seeking such a reversal, forced to wait for the legislative branch to act first. And, in terminology likely to anger the gay rights community, the president called for a “change” rather than “repeal” of the ban on openly gay men and women serving in the armed forces.

and of course, that was even after:

Yet on Monday, the Supreme Court rejected a gay Ohio soldier’s challenge to the law — with the legal backing of none other than the Obama Administration.

James Pietrangelo II, the former Army infantryman and lawyer whose case the high court declined to review, reserved most of his ire for President Obama instead of the court. “He’s a coward, a bigot and a pathological liar,” Pietrangelo said in an interview with TIME shortly after the high court declined to hear his appeal. “This is a guy who spent more time picking out his dog, Bo, and playing with him on the White House lawn than he has working for equality for gay people,” he added. “If there were millions of black people as second-class citizens, or millions of Jews or Irish, he would have acted immediately” upon taking office to begin working to lift “Don’t ask, don’t tell.”

  • barry bums a ciggie

    Did someone mention my name?

Funny, this is the topic of discussion over breakfast this morning. LJ, you are spot on. Barry/Barack is coward and a liar, period. People must be sick and tired of his ‘words’ by now. Stand and deliver or shut up Barry soetoro.

  • Typewriterstreaming

Thank you so much for this post Larry.

  • Typewriterstreaming

Yeah glennmcgahee – it sure did sound like the same speech. Why should he bother to write something new that might approach the truth of what’s going to happen? Strikes me that he’s trying to increase his crap poll numbers anyway possible – and I am beyond annoyed that so many of my gay friends actually think yesterday really meant something.

  • OldCoastie

I don’t think gay people who were not at that Very Expensive Dinner were fooled… I don’t think the gays in the military were fooled… and I don’t think gay people who want DOMA repealed were fooled…

Obama is just trying to turn back on the gay-t-m… those privileged, wealthy white guys at that dinner don’t represent very many gay people.

  • Ferd Berfle

The next thing you know, he’ll need an Award Czar to neatly display all the honors he’s received for doing nothing. His comment about playing the best game and not winning concerning the IOC bid, should be recycled and amended to state, “not playing the game at all and still winning.”

  • sowsear

    hook, line, and STINKER!

  • tek

This issue highlights Obama’s biggest weakness: he always has the wrong stand on progressive issues because he is not progressive and when people get out and demonstrate and demand attention, then he starts acting like he’s going to do the right thing, but he’s always wavering because he doesn’t have any concrete principles. His only guiding strategy is opportunism. He’s a fraud!!!

  • tek

    Jackarooty: LOL!

  • tek

Jayne: “Just trust me.” Wasn’t that George W. Bush’s mantra? LOL!

  • sowsear

    He’s voting “present”.

  • tek

Cathy: exactly. I found this idea the most striking part of the SNL skit. They kept siting his promises and then NOTHING is done, even though he has a majority. Past presidents of both parties have taken advantage of a majority to pass visionary measures that once in practice win the support of the people–who benefit from progressive policies. Not this fraud. He’s no leader.

  • Donna Brazile

    Damn Larry:

You know the ones standing and applauding were Prime Obutt and Freedumb.

  • yttik

I don’t think Obama is fooling very many in the gay community. He’s sure trying to, but with a few exceptions, most people just aren’t that stupid.

HRC president Joe Solmonese was pretty bizarre. He thinks people should not be criticizing the president until the end of his second term. I swear they should have given Obama the Nobel for chemistry because that hopium is some powerful stuff.

  • Cathy6224

    Tek,
Exactly, how much more proof do his supporters need to see that he and the Democrats, with full majority, still can’t accomplish anything worthy.

This congress is useless, and so is the rhetoric from this President.

He is just words, and as one of his friends said during the campaign, he is a politician and he will do and say what a politician does and says to get the support he wants.

That is what it all boils down to. I am not surprised he has not done any of his campaign promises. His record showed he never followed through or accomplished anything. It has always been about political expediency and power with him.

Why so many (not all) in the gay community believed his rhetoric and that he would be different is beyond me. It was there for all to see if they chose to research the candidates.

  • lorac

Remember how people posted the speeches of the Massachusetts governor and speeches of Obama to show how they used the same speeches and technique (via Axelrod)?

Someone should post both the campaign speech to gays and yesterday’s speech to gays, and put it out there – see if it occurs to them that Obama doesn’t even care enough to pay the 26-year old to write new words, just words. Maybe Rev. Amy will do that.

  • Ferd Berfle

Were they allowed to actually come up for air?

Military + Identity Politics = Disaster

  • Tammy

Well, I’m probably out of it, then because it sounds like metal to me. Or hard rock? Hey, we all have different tastes…

  • Lana

I doubt his poll numbers are falling there. They don’t want their eyes open, because they certainly can’t look to the Republicans to help. The Repubs are desperately trying to kill a hate crimes amendment on a defense spending bill. I say his speech bought him 6 months before the LGBT community starts demanding answers/action again.

  • Lana

    Cathy,
Let’s pass a new law. Only people who actually know how to think (and do a little research) can vote.

  • Ni

Larry you will critize just about anything this president does….

I wish it was that easy. I think the adminstration is trying to get the military to by-in before changing the policy. I suspect it will be gone in the not too distant future.

  • Peggy Sue

But Larry, Obama had his preacher voice on. I heard the end of the presentation and that old-time cadence was back, whipping the crowd into a frenzy–the promises, the glory, The One. It was deja vu campaign schtick. Obama was even able to raise his eyes from TOTUS to get it going, to feel the love, the sheer adulation of the crowd leaning in, cheering, getting to their feet with glazed eyes and ‘amens.’

Damn! This is performance art. Because beneath the promises there are no specifics, no indication of when these changes will come. It’s same old, same old.

And the scary thing? It still works on the true believers.

Having discovered http://deweyfromdetroit.com last week he has turned me on to another brilliant commentator at American Thinker, a recovering liberal, Robin of Berkeley. Just read her post (maybe a little long to copy here) for 10/1, Sympathy for the Devil. Maybe the best analysis of Obama I’ve read. Can you imagine being a “recovering liberal psychotherapist in Berkeley”? To whet your appetite further, here’s a snippet from an article on abuse:

    Ambient Psycho-Pathologies Go Viral
As you can see above, our motto at Dewey From Detroit is “Come for the Politics, stay for the Pathologies.” It used to be that the pathologies were as much fun, if not more so, than the politics. But lately we’ve found ourselves being a little uneasy about that phrase, for no specific reason.
As fate would have it, everyone’s favorite recovering liberal, Robin from Berkeley, explains the probable cause of our distress, in her latest American Thinker post. The politics of Obama have caused the normal ambient psycho-pathologies to go viral. Since Robin is a therapist by trade, she describes the resulting situation in terms of an abusive relationship: we’re all suffering from post-traumatic-stress syndrome, minus the post.
It really takes all of the fun out of it.
We have people at the highest echelons of our government who may be rotting this nation. They espouse twisted notions of humanity, like de-evolution and forced sterilization. They eat, drink, and sleep revenge.
They are throwing much of this country, at least those of us who are paying attention, into a psychiatric emergency — into trauma.
They dominate. They control. They terrorize.
    They are abusers.
I can hear the fun being sucked down the drain. Robin continues…
But the best and the brightest of abusers never get their hands dirty.
Their work is done through a look, a blank stare, a grin, a devilish laugh. They can incite trouble without lifting a finger.
So if you feel uncomfortable, and tense, and scared, this is why. This is what abusers do.
I thought therapists were supposed to make you feel better.
The daily force feeding of leftist ideology designed to control every aspect of our lives. The health care rationing that threatens our families. The strangling of business through Big Brother intrusions.
    I’m getting a double migraine.
Of course Robin’s right. Many have a sense, if not an outright taste, of fear on their palate. The violation of this country’s first principals, the danger to our way of life, the tyranny that may be bequeathed to future generations – all unimaginable just a few short years ago – are now a lurking possibility.
Robin presents her 5- F (didn’t that use to be a deferment? No? Oh yeah, 4-F.) options for dealing with trauma/abuse: Fight, Flight, Freeze, Fawn and Faith; the last of which she describes:
There’s a final “F,” the most formidable one, the one taking root and flourishing all across the country: it’s faith. Faith in a Higher Power or ourselves or the American system or its people
All well and good. But we upon whom the responsibility falls to reverse the pernicious creep of socialism, marxism and statism already have faith in something more powerful than the government, or we wouldn’t be opposed to Obama’s tyrannical regime in the first place.
There is only one cure for the self-inflicted trauma of this run-away government: fight it with our votes. I get the sense from Robin’s piece that she believes that we of sound mind and spirit will rise up and prevail over the dark side. But I don’t get a sense that she knows how we will do it, and she didn’t give us a scrip to deal with our malaise.
I’m not a therapist, so I can’t write a scrip. But here’s a script: it contains no antibiotics or anti-depressants. The only way to fight this disease is at the polls, or, as the Democrats would say “get the vote out.” It’s the oldest play in the political book, and still the most effective: we work to garner support for the people who reflect our beliefs and values; and we work to defeat those who don’t. We need to fight to defeat every Congressional Representative and every Senator that is currently enabling and facilitating the demise of our liberty by voting for legislation that tightens the noose of tyranny.
The 2010 mid-term election is the launching point. If your Senator is good, work to get him re-elected. If he’s not, work even harder to throw him out. Ditto with your Representatives.
People, we live – at least for now – in a representative democracy. Obama is having trouble getting his radical agenda rammed through even with a super-majority in the Senate and and overwhelming majority in the House. It’s our job to make it impossible. By working to crush those majorities we will render Obama a toothless lame duck.

BO is a concern troll? LOL

Many times I had asked my youngest daughter to clean up her room….

“I willllll!!!” she would respond. Under her bed were all the lunches I had made, even an orange or two announcing their ripeness.
No matter what I tried, she would not do as I asked.
Years later, I found out what happened to the baloney sandwich’s…the ones with soggy wonderbread that never made it past the driveway.

    BO is soggy wonderbread.

  • OWG

Gay people!! Listen up. If you keep enabling this fraud then you deserve what you have coming–which, to put it simply, is more frustration and disappointment.

My sentiments exactly. This should be the headlines of every major newspaper.
But of course they only voted for a smile. Nothing more and nothing less. Just like many voted for the smile of Jimmah Cahtah and Gary Hart. How did that work out? And if these rich elite gays are still for Barry H(orse) S(shit)Barry H Sotoero, it just goes to show that rich elites who are not ever going into the military have nothing to worry about so it doesn’t matter to them that they support a pathological lying windbag as long as he smiles big enough to show his capacity to accept a large girth.
And the song is a pitch for black nationalism i.e.nation of Islam.

The daily force feeding of leftist ideology designed to control every aspect of our lives. The health care rationing that threatens our families. The strangling of business through Big Brother intrusions

    .

Faith in a Higher Power or ourselves or the American system or its people.

get the military to by-in before changing the policy.

Ni, they don’t “buy in” they takes orders and he is CIC. Are you that dense?

    anything this president does….

What has he done? Seriously, you brought up his record. What has done besides making it home under the bus for countless people and causes.

  • TeakWoodKite

Here is an IGIT that was literally handed the office of the Presidentcy at the peek of “the authoritarian president” and while you can rail aginst the executive orders Bush did, you’d think BO would do what is right and end this unconstitutional discrimination via executive order.

NOPE. So why are you not railing against this injustice instead of defending a lie? What kind fucking of Democrat are you anyway?

  • http://noquarter foxyladi14

he doesn;t know any other way.

  • Tee

Don’t be fooled, this is a classic Alinsky trick, can’t believe ya’ll are falling for it again…

BO intentionally omitted a timeframe for the purpose of provoking just the sort of response LJ gives here. Imminently he will make an Executive Order ending DADT, then you’ll have to retract your angry rant and apologize.

  • European

Is the gay community stupid? Yes. And I say that as a gay man.

You can’t find a more left-wing group of people than the gays who will follow their leftist leaders no matter what. Let’s say a right-leaning guy like me who even believes in God is not the most popular among his “own”. Here in Europe it’s the gays who are the loudest supporters of muslim radicals, the very same radicals who want all the gays killed. There is no logic here, it’s simply about party affiliation.

No one should feel sorry for the gays in a western society. They need to break out of their own prejudices before pointing fingers. Unfortunately they’re too busy demonizing and ridiculing everyone.

  • hc123

Yes, Der Leader gave his talk just to trick Larry and the rest of us here at NQ.

Once that executive order comes out on Monday, er, Tuesday, the president and Rahmbo will have a nice laugh at our expense.

Then they will go down to Ben’s Chili Bowl to increase their “street cred” (and e-coli tolerance) even further. After that they will fact check another SNL piece and engage Glen Beck in a debate on, whatever, but Obama will be brilliant and the winner.

After all that brilliant strategy, next on the agenda will be the Freedom of Choice Act. All we need is for Larry to taunt Der Leader on this blog, and for all of us to say that Obama a wishy washy lying waste of O2.

Its all part of the presidential master plan. Only then will he put pen to paper.

Man will we have egg on our faces when Obama starts signing all these orders.

  • Cathy6224

    Lana,
I agree it should be required!

  • Ferd Berfle

Its all part of the presidential master plan. Only then will he put pen to paper.

If That One plans on doing this sort of thing routinely, it will be as transparent as his resume. But then again, this electorate is the same one that was fooled twice by Dubya. We have met the enemy….

Man will we have egg on our faces when Obama starts signing all these orders.

Perhaps so, but better egg on one’s face than to answer to one’s own conscience for not saying anything. We will never convince the obamabots that their Dear Leader is an empty shell and a con-man because their dogma is impervious to any truth.

  • Ferd Berfle

And the scary thing? It still works on the true believers.

It is scary. These people want to be told what to do and to be taken care of by Mommy government much like their real Mommies took care of them for 30+ years. They don’t want the freedom to actually think for themselves because that’s way too much work and means they actually have to make decisions for themselves.

Moreover, these are the same drooling m o r o n s that have bought into the you-have-to-have-this-piece-of-junk hard sell from phone companies, technology companies, and fast-foodpoison establishments. What these shallow slackers really want is to listen all day long to their ipods at full-blast in one ear and yap all day long on a cell phone that is slowly giving them brain cancer with their other ear and eat heart attacks on a plate until their belts break. But Mommy nature with her processes of natural selection and survival of the fittest is an unforgiving master. They’ll find out the hard way at a time when nothing can be done in the way of help.

  • NoBamaNoWay

you mean when they keep people out based on identity?

  • Khan Krum
  • Khan Krum

I should be more clear on this. What I mean is once such a group is officially certified then there’ll be quotas for X number of such and such rank based on this identity marker. There will be strife where none existed before and meritocracy will be tossed out the window. Each such special interest group will also demand special rights and this will also lead to problems down the road.

Meanwhile, the PRC, Russia, Islamic Republic are more interested in ways to kill people and break things.

  • Ferd Berfle

So why are you not railing against this injustice instead of defending a lie?

Look at his moniker, Teak–Ni. He’s one of a set of characters from Monty Python and the Holy Grail–the knights who say, Ni.

  • econsmed

I’m pretty embarrassed by my peeps, but at the same time there were a hell of a lot more of them out there today protesting President Platitude (naturally I was one of them) than were at the ritzy dinner last night. The idiots at the HRC bought him cover, adoration by well dressed members of the same constituency that would walk the street in protest him the next day (looking much less fancy).

  • hot librarian.

It is extremely dangerous custom that allows bills to be bundled together . Americans ought be prtesting this loudly. I dont know the full histry of this practice but it seems t have balloned after the Dems gained the Huse majority in 06.

    Extreme governance .

  • rosa

don’t think any of his speeches are new.just interchange issues and countries ,they are all the same! why don’t they see it? I guess its all those young voters that never voted before and had no interest in the voting before and now they need to be part of the popular guy instead of the competent person. the reality or american idol generation.

  • rosa

apparently we are suppose to wait for everything to take effect in the second term………thats what he is doing from the economy to gays rights ,making his followers believe if only we wait we will see the results of his presidency ,stringing people along and they are stupid enough to believe it.

  • rosa

guess I am just not a true believer ,never was because I can read and check backgrounds ,ob followers just believe when told to.

Robin of Berkeley has a wonderful article on American Thinker 10/1 about the psychology of what Obama is doing…tried to post on an earlier thread but it’s in spam.

But BO is more con artist than performance artist.

  • Scout

I’d like to know more about the protest, do you have any links?

Maybe they’ll cheer me up about how so many of my lesbian pals voted for this lying/cheating/stealing joke of a president and looked down on me because I supported Hillary Clinton. It was amazing then and it’s amazing now. I do notice that they don’t talk about him anymore–not even one comment about his undeserved peace prize.

  • IndieDogg

There is some form of madness loose in the White House and, because we would rather not believe that the President of our country could be stark raving mad, we hesitate to devolve to that conclusion, even though, scientifically, the least complicated explanation that works is normally the correct explanation.

No one could utter the words that issue forth from this man, in a tsunami of oratory, syllables stumbling over each other in a rush to reach the adoring ears of the Prez’ supplicants, and believe them at the same time, without suffering from some form of dementia or, to use a broad brush, insanity. He cannot believe the crap that he says every day, day after day, ad nauseam. He simply cannot.

If he does, he is clinically deranged. He is a madman in a nice suit with a soothing voice. If he does not believe these things, then he’s simply a liar. I’d prefer a liar for my President than a madman. Madmen sound sincere. Because they believe their own bullshit. Liars, well, at least there’s a chance to find them out.

Tough choice. But one we best make soon. Before the USA is “so” yesterday.

  • christine moore

this lesbo wouldn’t walk across the street to piss on Obama if he was on fire.

I’d love to hear from all those disaffected, disillusioned professionals who practice psychology or psychiatry such as Robin mentioned above. Does this (p)resident have NPD or a similar affliction? Give us your armchair analysis now that you’ve seen him try and fail at transitioning from campaigner in chief to the resident in the WH.

  • getfitnow

It takes a certain personality and mentality to be taken in by this guy.

Years ago I watched a documentary on Jim Jones. Before that, I remember hearing what gifted speaker he was, blah, blah. When I watched the doc I couldn’t believe it. I saw/heard nothing awe-inspiring at all.

Sometimes BO has given a good speech (just words), but I have never found him to be a great orator.

The public is so easily sold on everything. He’s just another bogus product, IMHO, that has been gorilla marketed.

  • creeper

Lana, you’re right. Repubs aren’t gay’s best hope. A genuine Democrat is.

    Primary his ass!

Excellent analogy, TWK. In this case, it’s our country that’s rotting.

Actually, their Mommies did not care for them, no more then Stanley Anne cared for her tedious, ever demanding brat.

And like Stanley Anne, their self centered mothers dumped them on grandparents or nannies while they pursued their selfish aims.

  • Athena the Warrior

Wrong neither party are. The Dems have been using gays forever with empty promises. Liberal gays on the other hand which openly are the majority of the community, absolutely condemn conservative gays even though the Log Cabin Republicans at least try to make the Republicans be more inclusive and realize that it’s stupid to put all of your eggs in one basket.

Liberal gays to conservative gays “Greedy!” The same as being called “Raaaaacist!”

  • rockrooky

It always surprises me when reading these blogs and comments, the assumption that there are no gays here. We are here and our opinions are as diverse as most groups. Some adored Obama, like so many others. Some saw through him from the start, as most here did. Many were surprised to find out their golden boy did not support gay marriage (a subject he avoids like the plague). Most are deeply disappointed to find he is no more than a mirage, appearing to hold all they dreamt of. I was surprised most gays did appear to support him, but pleased most also have been quick to note he is not there for us in any way, on any level. Interesting he chose the day before the gay march in DC to speak to HRC.
