Another example of citizens taking advantage: "WSJ: The Treasury tax-oversight office said at least 19,000 filers who hadn't bought homes claimed $139 million in tax credits and were reimbursed, raising new worries about the housing stimulus as lawmakers consider extending the credit. Treasury oversight officials said they have found an additional 74,000 tax-credit claims, valued at $500 million, where evidence of previous homeownership could make their claims invalid." The only sad note is that 0 will use it to act as if he has done something, just like he did with the Lily Ledbetter Act. Matthew Shepard, for whom this bill was championed, was killed in 1998. What was Obama--10 then? JK but almost. Heard Rush Limbaugh today called 0 a 'delusional president with a 5 1/2 minute career.' :) I am so happy that this bill finally passed.
