Another “Classy” Democrat We Can Do Without….

Grayson’s days are truly numbered. When his own party starts piling on, no matter how weakly they do it, you know they’re going to work to rid themselves of this embarrassment.
This turd is inappropriate, without social graces, is uncivilized and has an overblown sense of his own importance. I cringe for the people of Florida who have to admit that he is one of their own.
I don’t care how much money he has, his pulpit should be dismantled.

Quite revealing, Grayson’s big complaint seems to be that she “has the audacity to criticize a congressman.”

I’m no apologist for Congressman Grayson. At best his mouth is a loose cannon [and I've read he has a history for this sort of thing]. Is is wise for a Congressman to use this sort of attack on a radio show?

Clearly not. But he was calling Robertson a K Street whore in the same way we refer to particular journalists as media whores, people who have sold their souls to the highest bidder. Robertson is connected to the Fed [a senior advisor and at at one time an Enron lobbyist]. Apparently, the argument was over the Fed audit question, which I happen to favor [as does Grayson] though Ben Bernake and his crew are fighting tooth and nail.

So Grayson gets no pass on the stupid comment or calling the health care system a holocaust, another of his famous hyperboles.

But I’ve heard him grilling some of these financial types [private and government] and he takes no prisoners. And he does have the background to make the arguments. My suggestion? Tone down the rhetoric, Congressman Grayson. But keep going after the slugs.

After the way the Dems treated Hillary Clinton, I would’nt expect them to do the right thing now. They keep on dishing it out, and the worst part is, getting away with it. Paybacks are hell, and we will remember in 2010 and 2012!

Just yesterday I read an article about the democrats trying to get women to vote for them now.

I have watched a lot of the Financial Services hearings and Grayson is one of the few agressive congressmen in terms of asking relevant questions for the stone walling beaurocrats.

Let’s not ignore the forest for the trees. Robertson is a–well, I can’t think of a non-offensive name–but SHE has caused the initial problem here, not Grayson. At least he is fighting on behalf of the American people.

I get your point but calling anyone a whore is not appropriate. There are a lot of words he could use that are even more vilifying without being derogatory — if that makes any sense. I’d rather you call someone a crook, a charlatan, a two bit thief, “Bernie Madoff” — whatever — but calling a woman a whore is not acceptable in my view.

It seems like we get nothing but eye rolls and accusations of whining when we point these out, but how else will we make people aware that what they are saying is hurtful and wrong and that is perpetuates the degradation of women? This seems like a tempest in a teapot. The term “whore” can be equally applied to males and females, according to Merriam-Webster’s online dictionary.

Furthermore, when the term is used as a verb its second meaning is “to pursue a faithless, unworthy, or idolatrous desire”.

Yes, I get that technically whore doesn’t always mean what it has come to connote, just as b*tch technically has a different meaning. But in today’s language, they are most often used to demean women and have no place in our lexicon. Grayson used it to be inflammatory. If Rush Limbaugh had done it, would you be so blase?

I am frustrated completely about the language that is used in high places. This vulgarity is rampant throughout the U.S.–in high schools, on the streets, in everyday conversation.

I long for the days, which may have been just Hollywood fantasy, that government officials spoke in a dignified manner. I listen to old newsreel clips, though, and know that there was a sense of using language a better way.

Sorry to always be so negative here, but I don’t ever see anything changing. Violence against women is increasing in the media: movies, tv, news, etc. On AM radio women are usually called nags, old bags, etc..even by the conservatives. It’s crazy and I don’t see any end in sight with sexism. I wish I could become inspired in the world. I’ve hunkered down with my Bible and waiting this mess out. The world has gone mad and I truly believe the end is near.
