ROTFLMAO - that is too funny, Peggy Sue! I understand, though, but from my side, it's, "Why the heck are they pitching to this guy?" And, "why in the world is Phil Coke still in?" I reckon there is always going to be something...

It got pretty exciting there at the end, right?

Texas, thank you for coming by, and for the lovely comment! That you don't even follow baseball but came here anyway says a lot! That is just downright COOL!

And oh, do you have a point...Even when the Yankees lose, as long as the game is well played, you just have to tip your hat to the other team. Last night's game was sloppy for our pitcher, though I am sure when Joe Girardi studied up with HIS book (have you seen it? It's the size of an unabridged dictionary), it looked like the right thing to do.

You know, you're right abt people studying up, and how different our country would be now, and it sure would be. But, one thing abt sports is that people take responsibility for their actions, and admit when they wrong.

For instance, I was reading the post-game article this morning, and Burnett wouldn't let anyone else but him take the blame for losing that game. That's mighty stand-up in my book. Can you imagine a politician doing that and MEANING it??? Yes, he gave up 6 runs, but one of the relief pitchers gave up the 2 that won the game. Still, Burnett wouldn't hear it - it was his fault for putting his team in that kind of hole in the first place. Wow!

Thanks for coming by!

Well, typical to the average grousing Philly fan, my husband and father-in-law complained how a win is not a perfect win and how it could'a, would'a, should'a been better.

Yikes!!!!

I'm really glad I'm not a sports' fanatic. But at least I know my husband will sleep reasonably well tonight.

The Philly's won, right? Well, if you talked to my husband, you wouldn't know it :0).

There's a reason the Philly fans are considered the toughest in the country!

Indeed. Coke's two homeruns are the difference. He is usually only in for one out. We saw why tonight. Pitching to Utley was the difference, too.

As well as Tex choking, Cano choking, Swisher choking...

Dangit. I really thought they might come back to at least tie it in the 9th. They were darn close...

Johnny Damon is something else - makes me so glad I have the baseball signed by him (the foul ball hit by A-Rod that hit my partner during Batting Practice)...

Guess I'll be seeing y'all Weds. night!
