Imus was a political exercise to demonstrate and reinforce the power of the threat of a “racist” label. No need to do that with Bernie Mac, he’s on the “right” side.

I made a comment on the first thread about this and I’m not going to go over the same ground.

Personally, I bet Obama was mortified, but in true politician form, he took the safe way out. He chastised Bernie, but underscored it in a way that allowed him to keep his cool creds with black folks.

I don’t agree that other politicians would have played it differently or stopped Bernie in his tracks. John Kerry didn’t when Whoopi made her Bush jokes in 2004; McCain laughed nervously when a woman ambushed him months back with: “How do we beat the bitch?” remark. These moments are not just awkward, they catch politicians off guard in a very public circumstance. We all know full well how the smallest faux pas can derail a candidacy once in the hands of a zealous msm. So they all play it safe.

I mentioned before that this joke was making the email rounds among AAs last year. It’s funny to black people. I’m not going to go into the cultural reasons why. The email version was funnier than the way Mack told it, btw. AAs will not understand what all the fuss is about and white Obamatons will latch on to that as a way of trivializing the ‘joke.’

Bernie Mack was out of his skull to think he could tell a joke like that at a political fundraiser for POTUS. It was a totally inappropriate venue for such a joke. I have to ask if Bernie Mac had made a public joke about Michelle and/or his duaghters using the exact same type of language, would it have been enough of an offense to make BHO stand up without a qualifier of “I was just messing with you”?

Has he gone daft in the space of 3 seconds?

The FISA vote alone is reason enough to dump Obambi NOW, before he’s the official nominee. And the DNC actually believes we should get behind a person whose judgment is so flawed that he voted FOR FISA??? I’m amazed Feingoldcould sit there and say it on TV with a straight face! I’m beginning to think people running for office should have to get a metnal health examination as part of the paperwork and screening process. And especially after Bush 43. Do we want or need anymor ementla defectives? Obambi is clearly another dangerous mental case like Bush 43 who needs to be sent home to get his diapers changed and let the grown up Mommy take over and clean up the little boys mess!

His campaign is supposed is doing it’s job, to put spin on his bad comments. It’s his attitude that is the problem and very indicative of his misogynistic attitude against women in general.

You just can’t adequately “spin” bad attitude very well. Is this his version of accidently pushing the wrong button in voting? He’s displaying classic anti-women attitudes. Men who make such denigrating jokes directed at women do not love or even like women.

Obama was purported to be a post race candidate: the Messianic prophet who would unit the masses. Yeah or Nay???? However, unfortunately, his candidacy has substantially damaged the good will accomplished during the past 40 years. Sharpton, etc., etc., etc; but, the “Bernie Mac Man” and every black “Rapper” can and do use the same colloquial expressions and…..whaooo, “he is just messing with you”…and it is A-OK.

Another perfect example is the recent “black hole controversy”. The “black hole” is a cosmic vs. scientific term vs. phenomenon that has been the topic of study, investigation, debate for decades. It appears that in Texas an apology was demanded because it was used in analytical terms to stress a point. The judge implied that it was racist.

Now let me get this straight. Was the scientific term “black hole” regarded racist due to the word “black”??? Well, if that is the case what do I do about my black car; my black leather furniture; my black shoes, boots, sandels; my black suits, dresses, skirts, slacks, blouses, nightgowns; my black computer cases; my black printer cases, etc., my black photo copier, my black phones, my black everything, etc., etc. WHAT WORD AM I NOW PERMITTED TO USE TO DESCRIBE MY BELONGINGS?????

This PC bull-CRAP is becoming a disruptive and destructive force against all the good and healing that was/has been accomplished over the past 40 years. Martin Luther King fought the good fight and his honorable sacrifice accomplished much. Men like Spike Lee and his ilk dishonor the Reverend King’s “dream” vs. the subsequent evolution as to a slow but solid healing process.

How about women start making jokes about Obambi, “to snatch his N*ts off”? Shall we start bringing back the Rodney King pinata jokes now? Or how about the Jackie Robinson, or Jesse Owens jokes. Maybe those jokes would be acceptable to blacks? How about we start bringing back anti-Jewish jokes, gay bashing, or anti-Hispanic jokes? Or jokes against Irish, French, Germans, or any other country or ethnicity.
