What amazes me is the number of so-called progressives saying that Obama HAD to vote for FISA to give himself national security cred so he could get elected. These are the same people who criticzied Hillary for her Iraq vote because they felt it was opportunistic. The difference is that the Iraq vote was NOT an authorization for war– and Bush LIED. But FISA IS THE DESTRUCTION OF THE 4th AMENDEMNT. The hypocrisy and the total lack of proportion is amazing. Obamabots are all over the message boards saying, “I don’t care about FISA. It’s irrelevant– and nobody understands it anyway.” It’s all part of his viral marketing spin. This may sound cold but voting for one unencessary war is a terrible thing (and damn near every Democratic did vote for it). But voting to dismantle the Constitution is worse. Wars end. The Constitution isn’t supposed to. Bye bye America.
