foreigners from other lands with different cultures/beliefs – MORE rights than our OWN citizens who have been here for at least two centuries, especially those of us who are CHRISTIAN!

wasn’t this country founded by foreigners who who didn’t want to be persectured for their religion.

i work with many, many people who are of the muslim faith and are 3rd or 4th generation US born. we can’t hate all muslims because of what a few do in the name of “religion”.

But as I said above, if it does turn out that this was a Muslim who wanted to kill Americans, how will Obama handle that? He sure won’t want us to know.

It is about time that we confront this problem head on and not as a dime-store stick up off a police blotter.

And I do think we need put the pressure on Muslim leaders who as you all have said has been giving this lip service.

We certainly are not going to get more than that from Obama.

I was merely pointing out the horrific irony and hypocrisy of a man who joins the army to get his medical school paid for, he must have taken the Hippocratic oath (do no harm), he trashes the army AND the country that gave him an education worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, says he is furious about the killing involved with our war efforts, so in order to demonstrate his solemn status as a conscientious objector, he goes out and kills or wounds dozens of his army brothers and countrymen.

The guy is criminally insane, that’s it. This tragedy is no different than Va. Tech, Columbine, The Mall in Utah, etc. Military bases are for the most part just another community, not much different than other communities except for the uniform nature of the residents. Madmen exist in all environments, they snap for countless reasons, and attack in locations that range between military bases and an Amish schoolhouse. They might claim religious reasons, social reasons, economic reasons, family reasons, or countless other reasons for doing what they did, but the bottom line is that they are just sick, insane, and evil. Trying to read more than that into it, or to blame it on someone or something else, is a waste of time, and it will needlessly inflame the situation.

Slick, slick, slick. Mr. Stewart opens his segment with Ms. Rice by thanking her for keeping her scheduled appearance on the show notwithstanding what he described MUST BE the Administration’s focus on responding to the killings at Ft. Hood. Then, he deftly segued into the meme that PTSD is a serious problem, thus converting the shooting murder by an American soldier of more than a dozen of his fellow service people, to a case of PTSD. Thus, by assuming facts not in evidence, Mr. Stewart avoids the facts in the record: 1) the man was never in combat; 2) he was scheduled to deploy to Iraq and did not want to go; and 3) he was a devout Muslim who shouted “Allah Akbar” (Allah is great) as he mowed down his victims. Ms. Rice, only too willing to perpetuate the lie, agreed, the Administration is doing all it can to deal with PTSD from returning service people.

The duet of Stewart and Rice perfectly perform the ‘straw dog’ 2-step to a breathtakingly new level of obfuscation.
