That picture of Obama was taken during a trip he took specifically to support his brother, Roy, and his friend Odinga, in their bid to to take over kenya politically. Since then, it has come out that they meant to disable kenya’s democracy and forcibly convert their system of justice over to sharia law. When they failed to win the elections, they responded by burning people’s families alive in their homes and hacking off people’s genitals with rusty machetes. Conveniently, the context of the muslim garb photo has bee left out, as has Obama’s link to Odinga and what he and Obama’s brother have been doing in kenya.

After watching that film I saw why the camps were a good idea, the people we fought from Japan were more extreme than the Taliban. They would behead American prisoners and cut off body parts, they would not surrender and they forced the Americans to kill them all, they even showed footage of about 500 Japanese civilians jumping off a cliff to their deaths, they were told by their Gov’t the American soldiers would eat them. Every American should view that film, it will give you a greater understanding of the people of this country.

If you saw the part about Japanese American internment, you would have understood that citizens of this country, born and raised here, were interned just because of the color of their skin. I too thought the satirical character of Michelle Obama was brilliant! Outside of the obvious reference to “militant’ aspects of some of her statements and gestures which had people talking, I loved that the artist portrayed Michelle with distinct African American female features. For a woman who is suppose to be black, proud and strong- she sure goes through a lot of trouble changing her appearance to be more in line with Caucasian beauty standards: straightening her hair, the facial plastic surgery , obsessive work-outs to change her body type. I loved that made her black and beautiful with the natural hair, lips, and a booty. HA! That is probably what’s pissing her off the most. She got called out on her sad, pitiful self-loathing.

There were many Britons of German descent that betrayed the Allies during WWII. That is well documented and you can find it easily using Google.

No doubt that overwhelmingly, the Japanese Americans sent to those camps were loyal to the US. But not doubt also that many would have been sypathetic towards Japan.

The Japanese internment camps were for the most part humane in their treatment. I knew a large Japanese family in CA that was intered, and they harbor no resentment.

Not a great choice, and a contradiction to the US Constitution, but the camps were necessary. And, they probably saved lives.

I was about to relay that information about Dohrn and Michelle Obama. You are absolutely right; they worked together at the same law firm. We were no threat to the United States, just as German Americans and Italian Americans were not threat to the United States. My grandfather died in an internment camp because when they carted him off to the racetrack to hold them until they could transport them to the actual internment camps, there were no medical supplies. He had diabetes and died from insulin shock.

There is NO DOUBT in my mind that my family was NOT sympathetic to Japan. We are Americans first, just like you.

I am a patriotic citizen of the United States and accepted the apology of the government for what it did to my family. I harbor no resentment, but I still don’t think that internment was right for my family or the families of other minorities.

My take on Michelle Obama’s characterization on the New Yorker cover isn’t that she is like Angela Davis (I have to say I don’t quite get the assault rifle), but when I first saw it, I thought it summed up what seems like a simmering anger that expresses itself through her choice of words and her facial expressions. I don’t know much about her except that it doesn’t seem to me that she has so much in her background (at least what she says publicly) to merit that level of anger. I’m really disappointed that she said that she’s, apparently, never been proud of her country before. She seems to have had many good opportunities in life. I wanted to go to law school but didn’t have the money or any special treatment in terms of scholarships, etc. I’d like to know more about her in order to make any generalization about the cover picture. A couple of times she has talked about “pieces of pie” and how we shouldn’t have such big pieces or how we need to share the pieces, or something like that. It sort of sounded like socialism — I think she might have had a point, but I couldn’t quite figure out what it was. I know a lot of people are fed up with not getting ahead despite their hard work. Maybe that’s what she was saying. I don’t know.

Obama didn’t sit in one service. He sat there for 20 years being taught and living Black Liberation Theology. Now go read Dr. James Cohen’s work. Even ran under the New Party Ticket, hired several of their radicals to work for him. Nah, he never heard a thing. Then he subjected his children to the vile and racism. Not “one” service or even a couple. 20 long years worth of services.

Obama could have entered this campaign and said you know people I have had some shady characters in my past. I know they’re going to try and use these people against me. But I want you to know when I found out what these people were about I chose not to associate myself with them anymore. People would have respected him for being honest. Coming clean, after all he’s the candidate of “Change”.

But did he? No he did not, because he CHOSE to continue in his associations with these people after the primaries, until it began to harm him and his campaign. Everything we do in life is by choice. This was the choice/choices he made.

Which means Obama hated American, and was a Racist clear into the primaries. Then he suddenly saw the light and no longer did/believed these things. To bad it wasn’t until it was exposed and he began loosing that he saw that light.

Now you all tried this stuff with John when all this first started coming out. First a Rev in Texas was his minister. Then it was a Rev in Florida. Neither of which were John’s spiritual mentors. Neither of which he’s ever sat in even one of their services.

Then you tried the stuff that Cindy got addicted and stole from her own clinic. A clinic which SHE financed. Pain pills which SHE got addicted too because she knew there were people out there that NEEDED her. Not for PLEASURE. I can’t count the number of times I’ve heard Obama supporters saying they could never vote for someone that did drugs. All the while knowing that Obama himself admitted to doing drugs for PLEASURE. Guess they won’t be voting for Obama, if Cindy’s use of drugs bothers them that much.

Hillary lied. Uh-huh and how many times in just the past couple weeks has your candidate out and out lied, knowing he was lying and not about some trip. About the things he used to get you to vote for him…

Thanks for your interpretation. I posted my comment before seeing yours. Now I get it. I know. I was always the slow one. Yes, now I do see how that cover makes sense. I wrote, below, that Michelle seems unusually angry for someone who has had, apparently, so many good opportunities in her life. Being a woman, I understand the sexism that passes for comedy or is simply considered okay in our society. Now, it seems, I must feel bad for being white, too. Some people would convince me that just because I’m white, I’ve somehow benefited from the unjust actions of whites who have suppressed others. But I’ve been suppressed, too. I don’t yet understand what it is that is expected of me by people like Michelle Obama. She lives in a very nice house, seems to have a lot of disposable income and seems to have quite a bit of personal power and she has an outlet to talk about the things that anger or delight her. Most people don’t. So why is she so angry?

Isn’t it somewhat ironic that he voted for FISA so that Americans can be spied on and our secrets may get out, yet he doesn’t want his secrets revealed? I think there is a word for that…hypocrisy.

I have to agree with you on this . I do think that some American are prejudice even in this century. They can’t tell the different between a foreigner and a American who’s of another background and race that different from them. How come they don’t treat the German American and Italian American the same way as they do the Japanese American? It was and will always be a great American tragedy and a very unnecessary one. And happens when we let fear drive us. My family was interned in Japanese concentration camps in the Netherlands Indies – what is now Indonesia. Horrific things happened to them, many died. It’s one reason I’m so against war. But if we can’t learn from history so that we don’t make those same mistakes again, all of that pain and horror was likely in vain.

Their action were as bad as the Nazi’s treatment of Jews. Most of us Asians are still angry with the lack of remorse on the part of the Japanese government. What they did was inexcusable. But two wrongs don’t make a right. The killing of mass civilian cannot be view favorably. I think the war fatigue was one one the reason for the bombing. But looking back, I can honestly say that’s a good thing.

On second though, the Japanese did benefited from the rebuilding effort of the US and get to be where they are today as a result of it.
