RNC: “Obama’s Iraq Problem: Change That Works For Him”

Could somebody explain to Barack Obama that things he says are recorded for posterity even if he does keep scrubbing his flip-flops and gaffs from his website?? This guy practically writes the RNC’s ads for them doesn’t he?

    thanks!

Barack’s 180 on FISA. I don’t have the exact quote. He did use the same reasoning as Bush – National Security.

For the first time in my adult lifetime, I’m going to vote for a Republican.

You can thank Barack Obama for that.

      Here’s a suggestion. Relax dude.

      • Steven Mather

I think you could use a high colonic, Rory, inasmuch as you feel empowered to prescribe for others.

        • http://uppitywoman08.wordpress.com Uppity Woman

You should know about those things. Barack Obama has been sticking it up your ass for a month now.

          • Steven Mather

If she didn’t know what a high colonic was, she probably does now, Uppity. I’m glad to have provided the set up.

              You’re welcome.

oops … if she doesn’t know what a high colonic is…

Ahh! It’s a mirror image, right down to the crinkled parchment wallpaper.

    Obamabots get this…

Obama will create more wars not reduce them.

Obama’s lack of judgment will force America to bring back the draft.

    Get the picture now bots!

    • ginaswo still says no Uhhbama

he sounds like he is going to stick us in Afghanistan long term instead of paying the tribes like Cole suggests..
he is using the war on terror phraseology now too

      • Steven Mather

Afghanistan is not a short-term restoration project. An effective resolution will necessarily require a large economic infusion and a long-term commitment, which is grounded in the cultural matrix of the people and the environmental possibilities in the region.

        There is no painless solution.

        • http://uppitywoman08.wordpress.com Uppity Woman

Yeah we can send Mr “Jihad, God is on your side” Zbig over there. He stopped the russians from taking the taliban out. So now maybe he can help screw things up some more. Maybe he can get some more photo ops with Osama Bin Laden like he did last time.

          • Steven Mather

Agreed. It was a colossal error.

            • http://uppitywoman08.wordpress.com Uppity Woman

              Thank you.

So would you also agree that it is at least a bit stupid if not irresponsible to use zbig as a foreign policy advisor?

              • Steven Mather

It gives cause for concern, especially because Obama is a neophyte. At this point in his life, he has not had enough experience with exercising his judgment in difficult situations to determine his limitations, like GW. Also like GW, he also has difficulty acknowledging his mistakes.

I do not think he has the experience to use Zbig as an effective resource. I do not think Obama knows enough to judge when Zbig;s counsel should or should not be followed.

    • RoryBellows

Won’t somebody please think of the children!

    • AF catfish

I absolutely think he will start more wars than McCain. It’s so hard to get this through to people.

The male ego (sorry males), especially the wounded ego begets wars.

      • beebop

Especially those haunted by their own contests with their fathers. Jesus. Can’t we elect a woman who won’t have a pen*s to get in the way?

  • Obama is a bum

By October Obama will completely change his position in Iraq and adopt McCain’s. He will claim he always supported the surge and since the media is trying to elect him they will never call him on it.

  • Typical white nurse

Oh how I despise that little head scratch snickering laugh when he is cornered, what an arrogant piece of feces he is. I hope the Republicans eviscerate him.

  • AF catfish

Repubs are so good at production values – that is a slick attack ad. The music is pitch perfect.

    • cc

I thought it was very well produced as well.

  • VMorris

    Oh, Geez. That ad rocks!

  • http://deleted AnninCa

Yes, it’s not quite time to go negative. Today was interesting, though. Liberman and McCain very much called Obama on his past comments about the surge.

    • katmandu

In fact, Lieberman was the first one to call for a surge in Afg, back in March

      http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/03/03/AR2008030302630.html

    • beebop

I wish they would step up their calls on his facts. The ads running every evening here in Ohio are enough to help you with a new diet. If I hear the energy one again I will kill my television!!! I know that the republicans have a hard time attacking Barry since they probably LIKED the Cheney energy bill, but for him to paint JSM as the guy more likely to cowtow to big oil is just BS …

  • avwrobel

Man, this is too easy for McCain. I really believe that McCain has great respect for Hillary. If Obambi actually nabs the Democratic nomination, McCain will wipe him out with strong appeals to Hillary backers. When he’s POTUS he’ll seek out and maintain a pipeline to his ear for her, and he’ll actually listen. If she gets the nomination I think he’ll bag the election for her. Come on Super D’s!! Your time is coming!!!!

  • katmandu

    Remember this Hillary point?

“I also have heard Senator Obama refer continually to Afghanistan, and he references being on the Foreign Relations Committee,” Clinton said. “He chairs the Subcommittee on Europe. It has jurisdiction over NATO. NATO is critical to our mission in Afghanistan. He’s held not one substantive hearing to do oversight, to figure out what we can do to actually have a stronger presence with NATO in Afghanistan.”

    http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/379/

The only hearing the full committee had on NATO was missed by Obama.

In fact, the Foreign Relations Committee held a hearing on Afghanistan on Jan. 31, 2008, and NATO was a part of the discussion. Obama attended a Democratic debate in California that day. Clinton is not on the committee.

Obama is pretending he’s an Afghan expert now. He never asked Biden to hold a hearing on NATO’s critical role there, even though Obama had responsibility for that area.

He’s been a do nothing Senator.

    • http://uppitywoman08.wordpress.com Uppity Woman

Nothing like announcing your Plan first and THEN visiting the area. Brilliant logic, really. So Obama.

      • Steven Mather

He employs observation-neutral theory to avoid the messiness of recalcitrant facts.

        • http://uppitywoman08.wordpress.com Uppity Woman

          Yeah those damned facts!

Besides, it’s hot and sweaty there.

Obama is all talk — but we women know Obama is a male chauvinist PIG.

A disturbing view of women is calling them Hos. A disturbing view of women is telling them that you don’t have a boner in your pants, it’s just your vibrating cell phone. A disturbing view of women is asking a female professional if she will wear your button if you give her a kiss. A disturbing view of women is calling Rappers who bash women “geniuses”.

A disturbing view of women is reading a mybarackobama page where they discuss slitting Hillary’s throat and throwing her in a river.

You want to see another disturbing view of women? DId you write one of these?

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — As Sen. McCain prepares to question his Democratic rival’s foreign policy credibility in a speech this morning, he got an assist today from a colleague on Capitol Hill.

Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC) sent a letter to Sen. Obama Tuesday pointing out that the Illinois Democrat has yet to hold a hearing on Afghanistan even though he chairs a European Affairs subcommittee with oversight of NATO and asking for one after Obama returns to the states.

“With oversight of NATO relations and its role in Afghanistan, I believe it is time for us to focus closely on these issues. As Ranking Member of your Subcommittee on European Affairs, I would welcome a chance to hold a hearing on NATO’s mission in Afghanistan upon your return,” writes DeMint. The argument is one of the cases the McCain camp has adopted from the Clinton campaign, which repeatedly brought up the fact that Obama never exercised his subcommittee’s oversight power in regards to Afghanistan.

    Full letter after jump…

    Subcommittee on European Affairs

    Committee on Foreign Relations

    U.S. Senate

    Washington, DC 20510

    Dear Senator Obama,

In the coming days, I understand you will travel to Afghanistan for the first time and visit with a few of our European partners. Like my travels to these regions, I trust this trip will afford you a unique opportunity to see the facts on the ground firsthand and witness the work of our brave men and women who sacrifice so much to secure our freedom.

In February, I had the privilege of visiting and talking with our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. These brave Americans serve their country with incredible passion, pride and courage. As you know, NATO’s International Security and Assistance Force (ISAF) plays an integral part in the current operations and reconstruction of Afghanistan.

There are concerns about the imbalance between some European nations, their level of commitment to the fight in Afghanistan, and caveats these nations place on their forces in theater. I trust you will become well acquainted with these issues. The Bush Administration has worked hard to maintain and increase the level of forces our European allies have committed to the fight.

However, despite these successes, I am concerned our Subcommittee has not held any hearings on these issues over the last two years. With oversight of NATO relations and its role in Afghanistan, I believe it is time for us to focus closely on these issues. As Ranking Member of your Subcommittee on European Affairs, I would welcome a chance to hold a hearing on NATO’s mission in Afghanistan upon your return.

The success of Afghanistan is critical to the future of NATO and vital to our efforts to defeat Al Qaeda and the Taliban. As the situation in Afghanistan grows more tense, it is time for us to hold a hearing on the mission there. I look forward to working with you to schedule this hearing.

    Sincerely,

    Jim DeMint

I reviewed the video 2xs and quite frankly….WHAT A DISASTER this man is!!!!!!! He is a total neophyte!! Why would the American people elect a whimpy trainee-type who refuses to provide a proper “birth certificate” for the job of POTUS????

Good grief…….he tells so many big ones that he cannot retain the talking-point agenda. If he wins, we are a doomed country.

  • Sassy

The big “O” is busy right now folks…don’t bother him with minutia! After all we lost more troops in Afghanistan in June than in Iraq! We know he can dance, but can he play a fiddle while the country burns?

Nelson, I adore you, you know that. I just find this sinclair guy almost as irritating as Barack Obama. Now nobody despises Obama more than I do. But Sinclair is just not credible. The more he babbles, the less credible he sounds. I am sorry if this really happened, but the truth is he has produced nothing that even approaches proof and he needs to either do that or shut up.
