A Together4Us Founder Reveals Her Telephone Conversation with Barack Obama

Another Together4Us founder telephoned me this morning. She says the group is diverse and — much like many of us here — includes those who share Jill Iscoll’s view about Obama selecting Hillary Clinton as his running mate, as well as those opposed to Obama’s candidacy, no matter his running mate. Personally, I feel torn. If Obama should select Hillary Clinton as his running mate, I might have a difficult time voting against her. But it’s a long time from now until November, and my primary focus until the end of August is on ensuring she is the Democratic nominee. Watch for a new article by an associate of Together4Us later today.

I respect Jill Iscoll’s expression of her viewpoint, and her courage in appearing on MSNBC, which is generally unfriendly terroritory for Clinton supporters.

Here is the Together4Us group’s pledge:

On Saturday, June 7, 2008, Hillary Clinton suspended her historic campaign for President. To her 18 million voters, it may have seemed like an end, but we pledge to make it a beginning… a beginning of a movement to achieve the democratic and just country that Hillary has envisioned for America.

Hillary has spoken out for citizens who are too often invisible – children, the poor, the elderly, the working and middle class. She has spoken out and worked hard for universal health care, a strong economy, a clean planet, a stellar education system, an end to the war in Iraq and a sound foreign policy. She has built a broad and dedicated coalition of supporters and has energized millions of new voters – most notably women.

We stand together with her 18 million voters in pursuit of all of the following:

  • Bring us together by honoring Hillary Clinton and her supporters at the Democratic National Convention in Denver by:
    1. Placing her name into nomination (following traditional protocol)
    2. Ensuring a roll-call vote
    3. Inviting her to speak, during prime-time, on August 26th, the 88th anniversary of Women’s Suffrage
  • Bring us together by adoption of policies on the Platform Committee that Hillary Clinton has championed.
  • Bring us together through reform of the primary and caucus system to reflect the basic principle of one person – one vote.
  • Bring us together through outspoken denunciation of all gender bias, racism and other forms of discrimination.
  • Bring us together by making a concerted effort to retire her campaign debt.

We are being asked to embrace Party Unity without the fair representation of Hillary Clinton and her 18 million voters. Party Unity requires bilateral action. We ask Barack Obama and the DNC to respond.

Check out Together4Us , and consider signing the group’s pledge.

  • SEC

    I’m an Obama supporter, and I have no problems with any of the Together4Us goals. Put her on the nomination and have a roll-call vote – that’s fine with me. I’d love to have her speak during prime time. I have no problem with reforming the primary/caucus system for 2012 and 2016 (it’s too late to do anything about that now for 2008, in my opinion.) Let’s all denouce all forms of discrimination, both implicit and explicit. Let’s work to retire her campaign debt.

    Honestly, this is the kind of Clinton supporter who reflects well on Senator Clinton. To be honest, Jill Iscoll knocks me out.

    • vera possumus

      Yes, of course she’s the kind of Clinton supporter you like. She’s promised to vote for Barack Obama. Sorry, the rest of us aren’t on board with that. We got screwed, and we’re not falling in line. Exactly how stupid do you think we are?

      How much did you get paid to troll around here with your unity crap?

      • NOBama in August

        I agree with you Vera. Of course, Obama supporters want Hillary on the ticket. They know Obama will lose without him.

        • NOBama in August

          I mean her.

          p.s. is there a way to edit or delete a post?

          • Hope Floats

            Consider it a Freudian slip acknowledging the candidate with testicular fortitude. I understand if Harold Ickes’ potty mouth offends you, but no offense taken. It goes without saying that Hillary is an extraordinary woman.

            • ginaswo still says no Uhhbama

              not Ickes, it was Gov Easley NC :0)

      • John

        SEC is just thrilled with speeches praising Hillary Clinton NOW. She’s all in favor of “reforming” the caucus system LATER. I’m sure she’s all about combating sexism in politics NOW.

        Like we can’t see through this “lets unify for the sake of my candidate” unity crap.

      • SEC

        I don’t get paid anything, by the way. I like how anytime someone gives a contrary opinion, then it must be because there’s a monetary incentive.

        I like her because she puts the values of the Democratic party above a candidate. Had Senator Clinton won, I would have voted for her.

        • PAN230

          And your comment should be acknowledged. However, there are many of us who do not share your confidence that given the chance, a majority of the convention delegates will actually vote FOR Obama. Thank you for not reverting to disrespectful name-calling.

        • DoroB

          I like her because she puts the values of the Democratic party above a candidate

          I like the values of the Democratic party too. That’s why I’m upset at Obama for stepping on them for his own power.

        • Truthteller

          All that is important in this election are my feelings and my judgment. No party will ever delegate my actions, and I will not compromise my ideas for any politician.

        • Just A Thought

          I despise anyone who would put party above a candidate while said party was devouring its own, and demonizing its best candidate. Especially, if said eschewed candidate best espoused the long-term ideals of the party.

          It is the DNC at this point that does not truly represent the “party”, as the party of everyone, as it was meant to be.

          That is certainly not the case with Senator Clinton. She represents decades of Democratic party ideals, goals, and programs.

          I choose country over party, and at this point the Democratic party cares more about itself, its chosen one, and power than it does the country.

          Proof of such: The failed Democratic Congress and its leaders! A true reflection of today’s Democratic leadership. Damn them all!

          • dpvegas

            As a former Independent, it’s irritating to me that the party that I decided to claim more than two decades ago has become such a sham.

            And speaking just for me, I feel betrayed by Sen. Clinton’s recent actions with BO. I need someone who has the cajones to stand up to all this nonsense, this dark circus that calls itself the Democratic Party.

            Obama has never demonstrated any kind of leadership qualities to me, and now that he seems to have crowned himself, I see less than before. I was just leary of him last fall, now I simply despise the twit, and will not vote for him no matter what.

            Unity in the form of herd behaviour used to be the domain of the Republican Party. Way to lower the bar, Democrats!

        • Northwest rain

          Hey idiot obamabutt — get the hell out of here and go someplace else.

          After putting up with your kind in the caucus — I have no patience for anyone who would vote for Obama.

          Obama is a sexist pig and so are his followers.

          PUMA

      • hedy

        Why did she come on TV and make a fool of herself by saying that she will vote for Obama and the rest of us will fall in line. PLEASE do not speak for me I don’t care if he does pick Hillary to be his VP it’s only because he can’t win without her and I still won’t vote for him. He is inexperienced and so arrogant and he gets worse everyday. I think some of the people are in a trance over this man and big deal she got a call from him only because he needs the votes just another crooked politician.

        • BJ

          I agree and i just signed up for their stupid forum and as soon as my registration comes thru my email, i’ll go to their damned forum and post my opinion of this NOBODY, this peon woman who dares to claim she speaks for us.

          how dare she! I am fuming after watching that nauseating video.

          i’ll post in their forum and leave my 2 cents, and i’m sure i’ll get banned afterward which is aok with me because i won’t be back after the one post.

          but i will tell her what i think of her weaselesque appearance on the obama network daring to say she speaks for 18 million hill supporters.

          i’m livid- i’m fuming after that- i need a valium :(

          • elise

            Perk up BJ. You don’t really think MSNBC and Andrea Mitchell would have given her a forum if she werent’ going to say what they want to hear? There are a few others like her, Taylor Marsh comes to mind, and they are still trying to justify switching their support to a straw man who holds the Constitution in such contempt he doesn’t have a problem with warrentless wiretapping.

            • BJ

              sadly true -

        • WasLNbutNoBamaBotsKeepStealingMyName

          I will not vote for Precious no matter who his VP is…we all know that the VP is powerless, unless the POTUS dies in office…and I think that’s very unlikely, the millions who hate him notwithstanding.

          Just get him OFF the ticket and get Hillary on so that the Dems can win. That’s the only way I will vote Democratic this year.

          Yep…on Nov. 4th if BO is the “selected one” I will become Republican for a day.

        • TeaMug

          I had to switch off the video.

          I don’t wish for Hillary to become Obama’s VP.

          It is Hillary for President all the way.

          I think there is going to be more of these kind of interviews somehow…subtle brainwashing.

          Go Hillary!!

          • pasmalltowngirl

            Yes, I agree , this is a brainwashing tactic.

            This video, interview really pisses me off.

            That is why it is on MSNBC. She must of drank the kool-aid. How stupid do they think we are.
            You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can’t frk’n fool all of the people all of the time.

            Obama, you and the DNC can send all of your brainwashing puppets, to try and unite, get over it, fall in line, drink the kool-aid. We see how you manipulate everything and everyone for your benefit.

            This PUMA member is not a naive or gullible. The only thing you have accomplished is making me more determined to stop you from being elected.

            Obama, When are you going to get it. You are an unqualified, inexperienced man. You are a danger to our country. I will NEVER vote for you, not even if Hillary is on your bought ticket.

        • BJinChicago

          I will not vote for Obama even if Hillary is his VP choice. I am hoping she will keep her dignity and not join a man whose campaign demeaned her, President Clinton and Chelsea. He is not fit to be POTUS. Country above party anytime I vote.

      • Linda Fl

        I totallly agree. NO way I will ever cast a vote for Obama, and I truly hope Hillary is not his vp choice, be cause I would have to vote against her. And that would be a very hard thing for me to do.

      • Lisa

        I’m not an Obama supporter. I had to listen to this video from Jill Iscoll’s twice to make sure I heard it correctly. She said she was a former Obama supporter, probably before working for Hillary. I get the feeling that she is campaining on this site for Obama. I wonder what she is doing with JustSayNoDeal. I get the felling she was put up to this by the Obama campaign.

    • Deke

      At 1:20 she says she was a early supporter of Obama. Give me a break troll. They recruited her because she is a friend of his and a one time Clinton supporter.

      • anonymous

        She doesn’t speak for me and I am one of the 18 million she says she is speaking for.

        Hillary or McCain NEVER Obama even with Hillary VP

        I think most PUMAs agree with me and not her.

          Exactly and I am getting reeeeeeeeealyyyyyyy tired of all these groups springing up speaking for me. Tired enough to start fighting back.

            Look at this nonsense again. This was debunked here already as Obama is already maxed out on the black vote:

            Obama predicts surge in black voter turnout and Southern wins

            Bad choice of words: “surge”

            We know how bad Obama did on predicting surges already.

        • vinnie

          God, I couldn’t stand to watch the rest of that clip! There’s no doubt that Hillary would ensure a win. However, come November, even if Hillary is on the ticket, I still wouldn’t vote for the Dem. I don’t think of it as voting against Hillary but rather, a vote against his highness and the rest of his jesters in the DNC. They played us for fools.

      I am one of 18 million that will not fall in line and support Obama who is unqualified. It holds no weight with me by putting her on his ticket. I will vote for McCain unless she pulls off Denver. If not then forever no obama. MSNBC used her and her group to show some of HRC supporters will vote for him. Can’t make me. He is a joke. Uppity Woman,

            My biggest fear is that IF Hillary were to accept the VP slot (and I doubt that she will), and obama loses, SHE, not HE, will be blamed. Hillary won’t get credit for helping him win and she will be blamed in the more likelihood that he will lose.

            Who needs that? She should stay being the excellent Senator from New York. Obama is his own worst enemy and will bring her down in the end.

            • miriam

              If Hillary accepts the VP spot, Obama won’t lose. Without her, he hasn’t got a chance.

        • s. hall

          anonymous — ^5 you got that right. Lets have Hillary leading the ticket — then we’ll talk.

        • Clinton Fan

          Apparently, Axelrod’s Asses have been given new marching orders–the bullying and threats not only aren’t working, but the mainstream media is getting wind of them (and the humorless, tightassed, angry nature of the entire Obama campaign)….time to pull out the “SWEETIE-ness and light” approach and try a charm offensive, instead.

          McCain is about the most UN-charming guy around, but I’d buy his smartass “My Friends” routine before I’d buy any of the snake oil Team Obama is selling.

          It’s too late for these mom’s-basement-dwelling NIKE Minimum Wage Bloggers 4 Obama. They’ve shit in the punch; now they want to try and fish out that big old turd and tell us that it’s a refreshing chocolate beverage in the punch bowl.

          But see, that’s the one good thing about being one of those old people that these punks have treated scornfully….we’ve seen this type of nonsense before. We’re not easily conned. So they can take their “chocolate latte punch” and shove it up their asses for all we care. They’ve trashed any hope at “reconciliation.” Slash and burn tantrums cannot be papered over. They just can’t unring the bell.

          They went WAY too far. And now, there’s no way back.

          Obama is not our candidate. Get used to it.

        it would be hard not to help her

        This is wrong on so many levels.

        1) it is not helping her, it is helping the DNC and the “selected” BO.
        2)you are infering the “weaker sex” BS?
        3)In no uncertian terms it is validating the mysoginy women have had to endure while they are required to bail an unqualified superior male out.And I am a male who has seen this crap occur so many times and been “fired” over confronting asupervisor about it.
        4) As vice president Senator Clinton will have LESS not MORE influence on fereral policy.
        5) The consequence of having her on a ticket with BO would only embolden the DSA wing of the Dems. They would only have to pay lip service to the center of the party as they are now.
        6) Screw that.
        7)BO’s is a mysoginist pig and has never had an original idea in his entire life. He taking credit for the work of others is 2nd nature to him.

                  Dear Lurkers,

                  Note Georgia’s use of the race card. Why did she do this?

                  Some Obama supporters like to tar non-Obama supporters as racists. Some want to do this so badly, that they pretend to be other people and they make heinous racist posts. Sometimes racists post on this site, as well. Sometimes people who just like to stir the pot make heinous posts. It’s hard to tell who is who. On a different note, you might notice how uproarios it is here, as compared to other sites. This might be because they don’t allow us to post at those sites. That’s why we’re here.

                  The posters on this site are of many backgrounds and apart from the Obama supporters who frequent here, we are united in not wanting the Obama campaign to succeed. Some of us won’t vote, some will vote for any of the other candidates rather than Obama.

                  Enjoy your tour.

          JSND/PUMA doesn’t run around saying they speak for the whole world. They knew where their support is and they have a handle on how many of us there are. To make a claim that you speak for 18 million people with a website that has been up for five minutes is just plain over the top. Sorry but that’s how I feel.

          Secondly, there are those of us who have SHOWN JSND/PUMA that we want them to represent us and lead us. They didn’t just show up one day and claim us. They also don’t purport to represent people who have not joined in with them. That is a site I can respect. If you go there, you see more than 200 bloggers and members in a show of force. I am one of them. They speak for me because I have told them that I want them to. Their goal is my goal and my goal is not to hang out at a site where Barack Obama is pushed in any way, shape or form.

This is not the time for timid souls because this really isn’t just about Hillary or this election. It’s about fighting the corruption in our Party and the destruction of the Constitution, keeping a balance to the influence of the powerful who would silence the powerless. Who would have believed the Party would allow the FISA bill to pass with just twenty or a few more dissenting votes? For nearly eight years, I have waited to see my Party fight back and in 2006 I worked hard to help Sen. Ken Salazar in his campaign and I was so happy as I watched the returns election night. Imagine my surprise to find he was a Republican Mole, voting to give Bush whatever he wanted along with many other Democrats. Now we have a presumptive nominee supporting Illegal wiretapping, going back on his word to use public financing, speaking about privatizing Social Security , faith based initiatives, changing his mind on a daily bases on foreign policy and is probably a pathological liar. I am worried about the two party system in this country if they are indistingusable and there are other examples as well demonstrating how far Obama has moved into Bush’s “vision”. On another thread, I posted the Wic. definition of pathelogical liar and I’m going to put it up again.

          Pathological liar
          A pathological liar is someone who often embellishes his or her stories in a way that he or she believes will impress people. It may be that a pathological liar is different from a normal liar in that a pathological liar believes the lie he or she is telling to be true—at least in public—and is “playing” the role. It could also be that pathological liars know precisely what they are doing. “Pathological liar” is a synonym for symptoms. Even though pathological lying is not recognized as a clinical disorder, legal court cases often require that the plaintiff prove that the defendant is aware that he or she is lying.[dubious – discuss]. When caught in a lie, pathological liars tend to become hostile or try to disregard the fact they lied; often playing it off as a joke

            I’m confused…it must be all the Kool-Aid I’ve been drinking.

            Didn’t Hillary lose the nomination AND the popular vote?

            Didn’t she endorse Obama?

            Do you realize that she would RUIN her political career if she tried to take the nomination from him in August?

            Are you all really stupid enough to think that she has any chance at all of getting the nomination?

            Do you realize that people think you are a joke, including real Democratic Hillary supporters?

            • http://mccaindemocrats.wordpress.com/ 30yrdem-not any more

              Does it not bother you that when they gave Obama Hillary’s delegate it disenfranchised 600,000 voters…why bother to vote if the party leaders are just going to give the delegates away…it is about democracy…not Clinton..undeclared is a valid to have on a ticket, you don’t give it to anyone…so to hell with democracy in America?

              • kellie

                The situation in Florida and Michigan is a big mess. If I lived in one of those states and voted for Hillary I would feel cheated. However I think Hillary AND Barack (and the DNC) are to blame for that mess.

                Hillary never stood up for those voters until she needed them.

                Be honest, do you think if the situation was reversed and Hillary was the nominee she would have made an issue out of Fl and MI.

                If you say yes, you really are as stupid as I think you are.

                      Kellie is a flaming LIAR.

                      Clinton WON the popular vote.

                      Obama STOLE delegates from Hillary.

                      Clinton won the major electoral rich states — Obama lost the big states (except for the voting dead of Ill.)

                      In fact Clinton won and Obama is the loser.

                      Just because the loser jumps up and down and screams “I won, I won” does not make him the winner. Voters will show Obama what we think of him in November. And then hopefully he will have a jail cell waiting.

                      So Kellie (probably another male in Gaza) is an Obamabutt Troll.

                  Say, there, “Kellie”…you’d better check in with Team Obama–Axelrod is telling his crew of suckers like you to stop calling people STUPID.

                  It isn’t helping to change hearts and minds, it doesn’t depress involvement or interest, and all it does is encourage people to go out and tell others what fucking ASSHOLES Obama supporters are, and point them to charming little posts like yours.

                  Of course, your effort is amateurish–the real pros pull out the “ryhmes with WITCH AND HUNT” words…you’ll probably get to those when you don’t get your Gen Y little way, there, “Kellie”–but by then, you’ll be using another bullshit sockpuppet name.

                  Obama isn’t getting our votes. Get used to it.

            • Clinton Fan

              Look who’s talking, there, GENIUS! Is your brain pockmarked from too much drug abuse, or are you in a junk food daze and unable to comprehend basic current events?

              Hillary did not lose “the nomination.” Talk about STUPID! The nomination has not been put forth yet–that happens in DENVER.

              Put down the two litre bottle of sugary fizzy soft drink (or did someone put an extra cup of sugar in your koolaid, there, NIKE?) step away from the bag of Fritos, wipe the grease from your mouth, and pay attention, now.

              As for the popular vote, more people voted for Clinton than did Obama. Read that again so you “get” it, Sunshine–MORE people voted for CLINTON. Only DNC “creative math” managed to make some of those votes NOT COUNT, because they weren’t for your hero. When the Democrats get into “disenfranchisement” as a strategy, they don’t represent “We, The People” any more.

              If we are “a joke,” why are you here, with your too-tight thong all in a knot, wheezing about how “stupid” we are, in what sure seems like….panic?

              I’m a “real Democratic Hillary supporter” ya little punk. I’ve been a Democrat for almost forty years. I’ve given enough money to them over the years to put a kid through college. Who the hell do you think you are, questioning people’s credentials?

              I’ll tell you what you’ve shown yourself to be–someone who doesn’t have even a single fact in order. A bossy idiot, as it were.

              It must really suck to be you. I can’t imagine anyone being quite so didactic AND moronic at the same time. Even your friends likely titter behind their hands at you. Unless, of course, they’re as woefully undereducated as you seem to be — in which case, hand them what’s left in that bag of Fritos, and save them some Kool Aid, too, while you’re at it.

              • kellie

                No sorry, she did not win the popular vote

                http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/democratic_vote_count.html

                Whether you like it or not Michigan DOES NOT count. Hillary had no problem with that when she thought she had the nomination locked up.

                Shall I find video of her saying it?

                Also, here’s the thing “my friend”…the nomination is not decided by the popular vote. I don’t like it either, but those are the facts. Do you know what facts are?

                So let me get this straight:
                Only fat, uneducated people support Obama?

                Hmmm…That’s not what the polls say, oh right we don’t believe polls. Well wait, we do believe polls if Obama is not doing well in them. Let’s see what else, oh yeah, McCain is awesome.

                Ok, I think I have the hang of it now, let’s recap:

                I like Fritos
                My thong doesn’t fit
                I’m bossy
                McCain will be the best president ever

                Her so sorry campaign managers lost it for her. Her lack of a campaign plan after Super Tuesday lost it for her. Her reckless spending lost it for. Let’s get back to the rules, Kelly. Superdelegats are not obligated to vote for anyone and are free to change their vote at any time. And don’t worry about Hillary’s political survival. Political payback sounds like a threat, but I’m not really sure what you’re talking about. Please look at the history of the Party. There is an entire history of floor fights and contested nominations. That’s because the Party has always been democratic and that’s the way it should stay. Do I believe Hillary has a chance at the nomination? Damn straight.

            • steven Mather

              kellie

              1. No one has the nomination at this point.

              2. Determining who won the popular vote depends upon how the votes that were cast are allocated. Reasonable people can differ.

              3. She endorsed Obama, but she has only suspended her campaign and she has not freed her delegates.

              4.If I can imagine realistic situations where she could receive the nomination without ruining her political career, then I do not need to accept the realization you suggest. For example, what if Obama’s support dropped 20 points below John McCain, but Hillary continued to poll 8 points above John McCain. How would a delegate shift to Clinton ruin her career?

              5. There is a chance I will win the lottery. It is not certain that my ticket will not be chosen, though it is extremely likely my ticket will not be chosen. God forbid, but what if Senator Obama dies in an earthquake 9 days from now. If it happens, what is the likelihood that Hilary will be the nominee?

              6. I do not care if people think I am a joke. You made this post, so you must not care if we think you arguments are so poor that they look like a joke. Further, given the strange absolutes that you are using, why do you think that we would think that your assessment of who is and who is not a Hillary supporter would hold any intellectual or moral weight?

        She’s doing just fine on her own. She would have won the nomination if they hadn’t gamed the process to favor BO.

      Well, then you should be calling Donna Brazile and Barack Obama and Howard Dean and telling them this because THEY and YOUR CANDIDATE are trying to stifle Hillary and democracy instead.

      If you did that *I* would be knocked out because you would be THE ONLY OBAMA SUPPORTER to do so.

      ALL of you should be pressuring your candidate to support DEMOCRACY.

      And then questioning yourself why the HELL he even has to be pressured to do the right thing.

    • chezmadame

      Isn’t it so cute when obamabots say things like “I have no problem with that” as if their candidate
      (and we for that matter) really value their input?
      Talk about ego!

      Hey Sparky, after the roll call votes, their will be no nominee; neither candidate has enough delegates. Know what happens next? The supers vote in a secret ballot. Hillary’s supporters flipped 8 supers this week. Seems they’re suffering from buyers’ remorse. The funny thing is that the supers aren’t committed to anything until they’ve actually cast their votes at the convention.

      By the by, Hillary’s supporters have been working quietly and assiduously to retire her debt. We’ve got it down to under $5 million. By the convention, we may well have it down to zero. And the Repugs have stopped donating to Obama. They got what they wanted, what the Rasmussen Report today characterized as the “the weak candidate.”

      I wonder what all those dissed, disgusted, and disillusioned super delegates will do, knowing that their votes are cast in secret. What to do…what to do?

      Still feeling that surge of bravado, Sparky?

      Otherwise, what kind of unpaid Obama supporter sits around all day drooling to see the next NQ post?

    • Obama is a bum

      I think Obama is getting scared so he may end up turning to Hillary to pull him out of the hole he is digging himself in.

      This woman is an absolute moron. Obama would not be a good president and he wouldn’t have the respect of the world.

      If Hillary Clinton is dumb enough to go on Obama’s ticket she is cutting her own throat since she will be tied into Obama and his disasters.

      I have much of a problem with Ms. Iscoll, or any other individual saying, in essence, “yes dear, I will come back home so you can harass me, or beat the hell out of me again”. Giving in to the DNC, and/or the Obama campaign amounts to such, in my opinion.

      She is much too acquiescent regarding the pernicious aspects of what has transpired, and very presumptive as to assuming she is speaking for me, or any of HRC’s 18 million voters who she does not personally know or has had contact with.

      As far as I am concerned, anyone that even implies that they know “we will come around” and/or “get over it” is a wishful fool. That time passed long ago for me, I am inured.

        I simply cannot vote for an Obama/Clinton ticket under any circumstance, would find it difficult to vote for Clinton/Obama.

        I feel he is one of the least qualified among the original candidates. Biden, Edwards, Dodd, and even Richardson, all had better credentials and records than Obama.

        Clinton stands to gain nothing with, or from, involvement with Obama. I do not want her to train the ill-equiped poseur, nor to help him in any fashion.

        Either she is the nominee, or I vote for McCain this year, HRC in 2012. Obama is not even a consideration now or ever.

      Oh Good Grief. Hillary doesn’t not want to be VP. Nobama will not win in November. Democrats hate losers, never re-nominate losers. She is too smart to give up 2012 for the empty suit’s pathetic bid. He’s a loser. She will stay far away. Why do you think so many Dems are outright saying no thanks or saying stupid things to get thrown under the bus? Being on a losing Dem ticket is the kiss of death if you want to stay in politics. She is way too smart.

      Why does everyone thinks she even wants VP? That’s another veiled sexist attitude that an extraordinarily qualified woman would be happy with second place to an unqualified male.

      The only way for that to change is for women (and enlightened men) to “just say no deal”.

      • Clinton Fan

        Uh…she DOESN’T.

        With every day that passes, the suit is shown to be more empty. I think America will be surprised at how many Democratic SENATORS and REPRESENTATIVES get elected this fall, while at the same time McCain ends up winning the White House.

      Chill dija. He isn’t evil and it’s not Bush’s third term. You have your parties mixed up. An Obama/Hillary ticket would be pretty unbeatable. And frankly I think the worries about having Bill around are overblown. he’s not gonna be sitting in on meetings or anything. He would be an asset around the world.

      • candymarl

        But I thought the Clintons were evil racists?

        Now they’re not? Because Obama says so?

        Okie dokie.

        • RoryBellows

          I never said the Clinton’s were evil racists. But to quote JP49 from below:

          He is despicable as well as his supporters.

          Hmmm.

          • candymarl

            JP49 speaks for himself or herself. I never said you said the Clintons were evil racists. But several Obama supporters did say it. Obama never disavowed those statements.

            Nice try though. I guess some Democrats did learn something from Bush supporters. I see them using the same tactics.

            • DeaninMI

              I never said you said the Clintons were evil racists. But several Obama supporters did say it. Obama never disavowed those statements.

          and do not forget, Hillary is old Washington poltics and Obama is the new Washington politics, which has been exposed of do nothing and expect everything like a spoiled brat.

          It will be a joke if he asks Hillary to be VP on the simple grounds that his entire primary season was debunking Hillary style of politics, which would make Obama a full blown hypocrit!

          • avwrobel

            Let’s see:

            Obambi disowns supporters to further his ambition. (Rev Wright, his Church, etc)
            Obambi changes his stated positions to appear more palatable (FISA which he stated in writing he would filibuster, and stated several times he would vote against), public financing of his campaign, IRAQ withdrawal, his stance against the surge). When you flip-flop so much we have to wonder what he is really for since he is so unaccomplished. He’s just an old style Chicago politician who games elections to his advantage. Get over his speeches, and watch his actions. Hillary is a rock. Obambi is play-dough.

          • Susan

            He would only pick Hillary because as CNN’s special The Clintons said, he can’t win without her! I don’t agree with much CNN says this year, but that is so true!

        • Trinity

          hey CandObambi – clear out your linquistic hieryoglyphics. You’re implying, grammatically, that Bill & Hillary are racists.
          But I thought Obambi and the Mrs. and their 2 girls attended the Racist Church where the Pastor offered simulated sexual gyrations on the pulpi with Obama’s girs in the front row! Check it out and telll me if OBAMA and Michele are fit parents for their 2 girls to witness lewd on the pulpit performances?
          Then watch Papa Obama give the “Finger to HIllary” on the youtube.

          OBAMA AND MICHELE ARE NOT FIT PARENTS!

      • DeaninMI

        You must not have been paying attention lately. Obama has lurched so far to the right, McCain looks more liberal than he does now.

        Guess that would make Obama, BUSH3.

            The MSM didn’t “give me a stoyline”.

            I figured that one out all by myself, thank you very much. BTW, I don’t much watch the MSM anymore, and I’m surrounded by right-wing or right-leaning newspapers (which I don’t read). Your little “theory” holds no water.

            Unlike most Obots, I can think for myself.

            Hmmm. Come to think of it, I guess you could say Obama gave me the storyline. He’s his own worst enemy, after all.

            Were you talking to me? I didn’t like the CNN show. I felt like they were targeting us PUMAs into buying that Obama will do a big favor for Hillary. I’m not stupid. Not to mention that they just don’t get it. They think we won’t vote Obama because of Hillary, when the truth is the reason we won’t vote for Ofraudma is all about Barky. If he were honerable in some way, I would have been able to get behind him. Quite frankly I find him annoying, offensive and creepy! I am very tired of him at this point and just want him gone. He’ll never win me over because I can’t stand to listen to him or that little accent he tries to throw in at the end of sentences in his speeches. He is a very pathetic actor and I do not believe his lies. The fact that I can’t stomach him long enough to hear anything he says doesn’t bode well for November!

          Can you imagine if Hillary did take the VP slot? You think the ridiculousness of the RFK comment was bad…..geez, that’s all they’d talk about that Hillary was plotting his demise or wishing for it. No way, no deal. Hillary needs to stay far, far away from that trainwreck.

          • Steven Mather

            I concur. His campaign used a scorched earth approach to the primary, which denuded the ground upon which a presidential campaign is nourished.

            I predict that the fiction he created about who he is will be his undoing. We are watching the Obama campaign write the script of the made-for-TV movie that will recount his demise.

            Breaking News! Narcissist Barack Obama selects himself as his own running mate.

      • Hope Floats

        Bush’ BFF who officiated over Jenna’s wedding Pastor Kirbyjon Caldwell thinks Obama is Bush’s third term. So does the Carlyle Group. So does Republican party activist Solomon Kleinsmith, the head of the group Omaha for Obama. So does Matthew Dowd, Bush’s former top political strategist. So does Mark McKinnon, Bush’s chief media consultant during both of his presidential campaigns. So does James Canning, a Chicago financier. These past three names were top Bush bundlers who helped Obama raise $100 million in 2006. They were supposedly moved by his speech at the 2004 Democratic convention. Yeah, right. Let’s not forget the executive director of New Hampshire’s Republican Party, Stephen DeMaura, who later established “Stop Hillary Clinton (One Million Strong AGAINST Hillary)” on Facebook. And “Be a Democrat For a Day”. The Obama campaign included a video that was circulated in Florida, Nevada, Vermont and elsewhere explaining the process of switching parties for the election. In Nevada, he recruited crossover voters by asking them how much fun it would be to vote against Hillary Clinton. The only person who hates Hillary as much as Obama does is GWB himself. It’s no surprise that his people were instrumental in gaming the caucuses and ratcheting up the familiar right wing talking points in a relentless onslaught of psychological branding. And now look. Obama supports telecom immunity and faith-based initiatives and The War On Terror. Well, well, well.

          Why this is so hard to understand….oh wait, we are talking about Obamblobs here. Not the sharpest tools in the shed.

      • DeaninMI

        We’ve certainly seen how those Obama supporters have “gotten over it” on this site, haven’t we everybody?

        I just can’t wait for more Obama trolls to come in here and call us all names again. Shouldn’t be more than a minute or so.

        BTW. Clinton didn’t have to steal votes during the primary, but Obama did. Suck on that fact.

        • RoryBellows

          Steal votes? If I remember correctly the results in Michigan and Florida weren’t going to count for anything until Hillary realized she may need them. Then all of a sudden she was comparing it to Zimbabwe and she got her supporters all worked into a frenzy over it. It’s funny that this site thinks the Obama supporters are the naive dupes.

          • democracyfirst

            One problem with that comment – several states went early but only the 2 states heaviest for Clinton got penalized. Explain that.

            When the DNC realized they could lose those states, they tried to appease and made it worse. When Obama realized he may need the votes, even though he took his name off the ballot in MI, he made sure he was given votes that were not cast for him.

            He did much more than steal votes.

            • RoryBellows

              I think you have your timeline mixed up. And I’m pretty sure that if Obama had been on the ticket in Michigan he would have won or it would have at least been close considering Wisconsin. Besides, no one involved in your conspiracy thought Obama had a chance when Michigan and Florida were stripped. In fact Ickes voted for it.

              • Andrew

                You’re full of Oshit. You know he wouldn’t have won Michigan just like he didn’t win Ohio or Pennsylvania or Indiana or West Virginia etc.

                    Hillary was ahead in the polls by 20 points when Obama, Dodd, Biden and Edwards decided to withdraw their names from the Michigan ballot. Obama knew he wouldn’t win in Michigan, because his support came primarily from blacks, recruited youth bused in to caucuses and Republicans in open primaries. Michigan was holding its Republican primaries around the same time, and favorite son Mitt Romney was easily going to claim those votes. They wouldn’t bother to vote for Obama.

                    • Dave

                      “Hillary was ahead in the polls by 20 points”

                      …but…weren’t you guys arguing just a few days ago that “the polls don’t matter” (i.e.- Obama is gonna be crushed by the Latino vote)?

                      Haha, sorry I just had to bring that up- another thing that makes me laugh is the delusion on this site that McCain could come anywhere close to winning the Latino vote.

                • TeakWoodKite

                  What? You really got your talking points twisted in a bunch with that one…

                  And I’m pretty sure that if Obama had been on the ticket in Michigan he would have won or it would have at least been close considering Wisconsin.

                  1) Michigan is NOT Wisconsin.
                  2) He had the option of remaining on the ballot, but was getting his butt kicked, so HE took his name off the ballot.
                  3) You will never know the answer to Michigan, but what we do know is how many voted for the names on the ballot and how many voted uncommitted.

                  If I, as a voter, voted uncommitted and had my vote stolen from me I would be pissed. If I had voted for any of the candidates that were on the ballot and they stole my votes I would be pissed.

                  Anyone who I hear say “Hillary said those votes won’t mean “anything” needs to go look up the EXACT quote. She said they won’t mean anything BUT THEY SHOULD BE COUNTED!!!!

                  So when BO puts out a written press release after the vote, saying the votes in Florida were “meaningless”, and you defend that, you have some VERY serious issues.

                  If you want to defend a IGIT that activley surrpressed votes in the primaries including Michigan and Florida, I would call it a seditious act.

                  I am looking forward to BO getting his butt kicked especially in Florida and Michigan because he did the most
                  un-American thing one can do. People will not for get what they have seen and will witness in the next 3 weeks from this fool. UG

              • DeaninMI

                You really are full of it.

                Michigan voters would vote like Wisconsin because why exactly?

                Well, we do have alot of lakes in both states. Yep.

                How lowbrow can you go???

                BTW, there is no way whatsoever that Obama would have won this state. Michigan did well under the Clintons, and it sure as hell wasn’t because of the Repugnant Governor at the time.

                Shouldn’t you at least know a little something about what you are posting before you post it?

                The fact remains, he took his own name off of the primary ballot. He is his own worst enemy.

                      You are wrong in either or two ways because Obama is DONE, unless he is saved by an act of Fate.

                      If you are a McCain saboteur, you are knowingly wrong because the incident is one of the collection of important factors that lead to the creation of groups dedicated to ending Obama’s run. If you are for McCain, you’re baiting this site to further discredit Obama. If so, you are an enemy of democracy because you are against people making an informed judgment based upon accurate information.

                      If you are an Obama supporter, you are wrong, for the same originary reasons, and your postings on this site amount to an attack on Obama. You are working to enable his demise. Thank you for the provocation.

                And I’m pretty sure that anyone who had their name on the ballot would have gotten more votes than the guy who wasn’t on it. But that’s the way it works in a democracy so are you saying you don’t believe in democracy and that Obama can just plunder the votes like the spoils of war?

              • elise

                Just a few facts here Bellows. Go back and look at the polls before Iowa. BO was twenty points behind in Mi. He had to win in Iowa to stay in and his campaign was set up for cacus states because they knew he would have problems with primaries. So. what to do? Iowa really, really likes to go first. In fact they are obsessive about going first. That’s why the argument began. Obama exchanged Mi for Iowa because he knew when the time came, he would have a committee stacked in his favor. He removed his name from the Mi ballot. It was his campaign’s choice so he can suck up to Iowa. Not only did he receive the votes for some one named “undecided” (including votes for Biden, Richardson, Dodd and Edwards), the committee gives him four extra delegates because of their statistical analysis of some unnamed poll.

                As for Hillary? Do you really think she didn’t know this was a bad thing for her campaign? Two of the largest states in the country and in place to win both? The RBC made the decision and, in spite of that decision, millions turned out to vote for her candidacy. She wasn’t on the RBC so she didn’t have a vote. She was the last candidate to sign the pledge not to campaign and she had no choice. She kept her promise, but Obama runs national ads in Fl., holds a fundraiser(covered by the press, but not considered campaigning) and held a press conference there. Do you understand any of this or are you a political neophyte, repeating talking points from your master? This was a magnificent example of Chicago combine politics and a dirty DNC.

          • Hope Floats

            No, Rory. Hillary in her infinite wisdom knew the DNC was promoting Obama and would make sure Michigan and Florida would not count until they were ready to crown their Possum King. Then they would try to “find a fair solution.” Which meant Obama got 4 of Hillary’s Michigan delegates and 55 from people who never voted for him since his name wasn’t on the ballot. Hillary was right in that Michigan didn’t count for anything. I have a hard time getting over electioneering and voter fraud.

            • RoryBellows

              That theory is so crazy I’m not even sure if you’re being sarcastic or not.

              • Hope Floats

                Your “theory” is crazy. Why would Hillary say she wanted to throw out the votes of the fourth largest state in the country and one of the key swing states that she knew she could win. Saying “Michigan votes clearly won’t count” is not the same as saying that Michigan voters can go to hell. You’re an idiot.

                • RoryBellows

                  Well clearly her campaign didn’t think it was so important when they pushed to have Michigan’s delegates stripped. I guess they thought it was important to be strict in not allowing states to keep leapfrogging each other. If they let that stand the 2012 primary would be starting in about 5 months.

                  • C.S.

                    Why does Hillary Clinton aways get the the blame when things go wrong, the responsibility for fixing it, but only Obama can take credit?

                    We don’t need another GWB in the guise of Barack Obama.

                  • TeakWoodKite

                    RoryBellows, back up the statement that “her campaign didn’t think it was so important when they pushed to have Michigan’s delegates stripped”.

                    Once again,

                    Why did South Carolina’s primary count?

                    They “leap-frogged” too!

                    Guess that doesn’t count, since it was “approved” by the DNC. Didn’t Howard say something about a large AA community there as a reason for allowing it? I believe he did.

      • Deke

        I see all the Obama trolls are home from day camp. Just in time to have their cookies and milk.

          Those ones aren’t paid, they’ve just had a little too much kool-aid.

          The paid ones are easy to catch. They’re the ones who go on and on about nothing at all, all the while belittling HRC in not so subtle ways.

          • imustprotest

            yeah the paid ones get their talking points from HQ and no matter what the post topic they steal the thread with their talking points.

        • RoryBellows

          Ok, for starters all the nonsense about Michigan and Florida being like Zimbabwe. Or the time on 60 Minutes where she said “Obama isn’t a Muslim as far as I know” Or how about the picture of Obama in the Somali garb. Or what about her campaign spreading the lie that Latinos have traditionally not supported black candidates. Or what about in the debates near the end when she couldn’t stop herself from throwing all that nonsense about Farrakhan, Hamas etc. in. It seems to me that all the stuff that Hillary supporters were mad about was the sexism in the media, and I’ll concede that point, the media generally sucks. But isn’t it her campaign’s job to fight that? All the anger directed at Obama seems to be that there was sexism in the media and he didn’t stop it? Correct me if I’m wrong, and please don’t try to defend the Muslim stuff, that was pretty lowbrow on her part.

          • http://obamafact.blogspot.com/ Mel

            el minless one, Clinton never put out the muslim garb picture that was debunked and was done by the Obama surrogates and proven!

            As for Farrakhan, Hamas were they not true, yes they were, and Obama accepted their support till it turned against him did he not, oh yes he did!

            Do you know if Obama is really muslim or not, and to say you do, is a flat out lie, so don’t go there!

            So you are ok with Clintons being called and supported in being called racist by Obama’s campaign and by MO, ok, shows your level of maturity!

            Was ok to call Chelsea pimping? The Obama trolls calling Hillary a cunt, KO turing a discussion on how long to campaign and using her reference in the entire context of such as a Hillary call for Obama to be assassinated!

            The list goes on and your list is pathetic,just like the empty suit you are trying to defend, but nice try, hope you have a travel package for Obama when he is shipped off to political obliteration like Kerry was for being a lousy candidate for POTUS and gets destroyed!

            • RoryBellows

              Again, almost everything you mention is the media.

              • RoryBellows

                And also to your Muslim stuff. This is such nonsense I can;t even believe I’m responding to it. I’m sure you went apeshit when Fox went apeshit about Obama’s Christian church telling it’s congregation that we haven’t always acted Christian in this country.

                • Hope Floats

                  BLT is not Christianity. It is a humanist translation of Christian document that denies a supernatural God who would not intervene on the behalf of oppressed blacks. It denies that Jesus was his son, but believes instead in a black messianic figure who will deliver blacks from their white oppressors. BLT denies the crucifixion. It denies the Holy Trinity. It is about as Christian as the Flying Spaghetti Monster. And it is marxist, too, since a huge focus is placed on reparations.

                • beebop

                  Are you going to burn the New Yorker cover? All that liberal energy?

                • Hope Floats

                  And I don’t think any Christian believes that Americans deserved to die on September 11, 2001. Saying that blacks and whites have different brains or that whites created AIDS to commit genocide against blacks are incitements to hate crimes and have nothing to do with rational critique of morality in America.

            Tactics and events by the campaign of Senator Obama I will never get over in this lifetime:
            1. Hacked Account
            2. Death threats by supporters: Based on my reply to a question wanting to know why they would support Senator Obama and praise him for not voting on the war in Iraq when he wasnt even in the position to vote or have a say, then I provided the utube link where he was being interviewed stating “he would of made the same decision Bush did, as well as acknowledging there was no “special” evidence” that he had to make that decision.

            This was the response I recieved (Direct Quote): ” I hope you die you stupid c***, the next time you go to Iraq for supporting the c*** who sent you there.”

            3.In response to my “Karma is a Bitch” Utube video: Direct Quote: ” You should be ashamed! Someone needs to tie you up in a sack and throw you into the bottom of the river”

            4. In response to the Utube video after the magic show performed at the DNC Bylaws committe I was told that since I am black and support Senator Clinton I must of had a black man do me wrong to take it out on Senator Obama and not vote for him.

            Apparently, and no one told me. Senator Clinton shouldnt have black supporters. I have over a thousand of these type messages under my other utube account that utube revoked my “uploading” capabilities on because we cant let the world know that someone didnt believe the Clintons were racist. Made another account to post two new vids days ago and what do ya know? Uploading capability gone again.

            **Plus, I am tired of all these paid foreign bloggers hitting my blog from 3rd world countries I dont know anyone in Nigeria, Jakarta, Saudi Arabia or Kenya

            • Hope Floats

            • RoryBellows

              Again, none of this is from Obama. You’re basically mad at the fact that there are huge idiots on the Internet that feel they can say anything they want. Believe me I’ve had some nasty stuff thrown at me on this site an others. The difference is I don’t blame Hillary for the fact that she has some idiot supporters. Every candidate does, and internet anonymity makes it even worse. I’m sorry you had nasty things said to you, but that’s a far cry from Obama and his supporters being lumped in with those idiots. In fact if you notice when I comment underneath someone on this site that I think is being an idiot, like saying something completely racist, or someone that is clearly a Republican troll trying to stir up the pot. I make fun of them. For the serious people on this site, like you maybe, I try to have reasonable conversations about policy differences etc. The idiots I just make fun of. But I never say anything nasty.

              • onmomnaturesside

                The threatening tone of Obamabots is systemic to Obama. I think everyone of us who stood up and spoke out defending Hillary have had hate directed towards us. It is not a rare or unusual thing.
                Therefore, I surmise that Obama and his thin resume and BS speeches attract a lot of that caliber of supporter. A very immature type who knows very little history, very little about politics and the fine traditions of this Democracy and very little about the world.
                As to the baloney about Hillary’s support being low education/ clinging and bitter… this generation of women is the first to become financially independent and to take leadership roles and run the store. We have arrived and we will decide this race. We are also raising the next generation of progressives, so watch out.
                Obama can’t be POTUS simply because he is not qualified nor dignified.

                My POTUS is not a drug user, who profited from a convicted felon for the home he is raising his babies in.
                My President is a deeply patriotic American who loves this country and ALL its people.
                She never attended a hate church for 2 decades. My President would never do that. It’s impossible.
                MY President has a plan and has proven she can fix this frickin mess we ( the world) are in.
                Obama copied Hillary’s homework in the Primary season, and now he is in this way over his head.He is shooting from the hip and having to waffle out of something everyday.
                It is sickening and frightening at the same time.

            It’s no use Mel. This paid troll refuses to accept the 10v1 thing.

            It is interesting to note that Rory here believes that Hillary’s campaign should have fought all of the sexism against her, and that it was Hillary’s fault that racism was used against Obama.

            HMMMMMM. It’s all Hillary’s fault. It’s all Hillary’s responsibility. Now where have we heard that before? Maybe a better question would be, WHEN have we heard that before?

            Answer: All through the nineties……by the Republicans.

            Way to go, Rory.

              She made him choose his church.
              She made him call half the democratic party names.

            Does Obama know whether he’s Muslim or not? Does he not know the call to prayer in Arabic? Does he not change his stories all the time? She’d be hated if she said he definitely isn’t, and Obama decided to pander to Muslim Americans and said he was a Muslim at one time after all. He hangs out with a lot of NOI characters, too. But she had nothing to do with the pic of him in Somali garb. But Hamas endorsed Obama. One of his aides was fired when it was discovered he had secretly met with the group. And Carter met with Hamas, yet Obama thought Bush was talking about him when he spoke out against appeasement in Israel. Obama helped Farakhan organize a Million Man March and gave a speech at it. He had relied on is political support in Chicago. He raised money for him. Voters want to know about these issues, and a debate is a perfect opportunity for Obama to explain this. As well he should. While Hillary cannot help her gender anymore than Obama can help the color of his skin. But let’s not confuse his actions with racial prejudice.

            • Linda C.

              Actually that statement was never finished and always taken out of context. Senator Clinton went on to say that she too had been the subject of many internet rumors and understands the situation he is in.

              Obama noted that Hillary Clinton’s foreign expereince amounted to having “tea with Bhutto”. This is a direct play to sexism in this country. All important meetings in the Middle East involve having “tea” before any negotiations begin. In this country having tea is considered to be a frivolous engagement associated with women wearing hats talking about nothing.

              Senator Obama claims that he knew what went on in those meetings..which isn’t much from his experience. He also failed to mention he did not have the security clearance of Hillary Clinton to be informed of anything very important. It is probably inconceivable to Obama and indeed most of this country that a male junior Senator would not have the security clearance of a First Lady. Especially a First Lady as involved in policy as Hillary Clinton.

    which increased the creepiness factor. This part jumped out at me-

    Obama’s staff has combined new online organizing with old-school methods of voter outreach to assemble a central database for hitting people with messages tailored as closely as possible to what they’re likely to want to hear.

    I always knew when he was bashing Hillary for pandering, he was projecting.

    No Hillary=McCain 08

    • DAB

      Sounds real Big Brotherish.

    • Susan

      Ok, that is clearly not working great for him because it said he has info so he doesn’t waste time on McCain supporters. Well, I’m a McCain supporter and he still hounds me!

  • http://obamafact.blogspot.com/ Mel

    sorry Jill, but thinking that having Hillary on a ticket as VP will make a strong Democratic voice at this point in time, after the antics preceeded by the Obama campaign is simply rediculous.

    Having Hillary doing the required pushing of policies (which Hillary does not stand for on health insurance for one) of an underqualified and inexperienced political hack is not in any wise interest of Hillary’s future endevours and gives a sign of condoning the sexist, racist and disgusting antics of the Obama campaign the entire primary season.

    Let Obama sink like a rock based on his vile campaign without being supported by Hillary, who is the best candidate for POTUS, not the ACORN endorsed and supported hack Obama!

  • democracyfirst

    I respect her opinion but she definitely is not speaking for me – make that 18,000,000 minus 1 who will vote for Obama if Hillary is on the ticket. He has used her and abused her and putting her on the ticket would just be more of the same.

    And he would be a disastrous President. I would never vote for him. Even if he were on the ticket as VP it would make me very nervous. I don’t trust him!

    • Patti

      Just think how she’s been being torn up apart for not divorcing Bill…can you imagine the hoopla if she were to accept the VP slot?

      Nobama, No way, Not ever!

  • PAT

    I agree no Obama Unless Hillary implores us to vote her as vp and she thinks this is her way to the white house i will not vote the guy who stole this election and rn dirty politics to do it who was selected and not elected.

  • KarenG

    When Jill said, “carry him over the finish line” she
    lost me. I really believe that if he chooses Clinton it will only be because he needs her to win. He has used so many people, I don’t want her to be another one. If he really wanted her, he should have said so the day he won, now it seems like if it happens it may be because he is in trouble
    and several other candidates have turned him down.

    • Fenelon spoke

      I agree, Karen. If he picks her it will be “because he’s in trouble and several people have turned him down”.

      • Dave_Not_For_Obama

        Several have already stated publicly they would not serve as VP for Obambi. :)

    • rjj

      He is good at getting people to carry him over finish lines. Not all are rewarded for their efforts, though. Carrying O over a finish line is a declaration of corruption.

  • PAT

    Besides I do not trust enything on this Liberal con station Msnbc they treated Hillary like shit. And especially that woman newscaster whatever her name is I cant stand her either.

    • RoryBellows

      Andrea Mitchell, she’s married to Alan Greenspan. Just helping out.

      • imustprotest

        You know who’s really good, Cokie Roberts of ABC. She was a regular on the Sunday morning show until George Stephannopolus (the traitor) took it over. Then his ratings went low so he brings her back once in a while. She has the pulse of this anti-obama movement, when the other blowhards let her speak.

      • beebop

        Yeah. No wonder she has no problems with listening to bullshit.

  • tampagurl

    Count me out! No Obama, I wouldn’t vote for him to be dog catcher.

    • one eyed jack

      Lets cut the deck for Hillary or McCain. :)

  • Fenelon spoke

    Ms. Iscoll is much more gracious than I would be. I don’t think Obama is an “extraordinary candidate”. (Well, he is extraordinarily brazen and narcisscisstic.) I also think that that Obama is doing just that-trying to placte a woman (Ms. Driscoll) with money and clout. Nothing he’s said or done gives me an idea that he has any admiration or respect for Clinton. Once again, it’s “words, just words” to get what he wants. Narcisscists use people for as long as they are useful and then dispose of them. I think that Obama might put Hillary on the ticket to try to shut up the PUMAS, but he’d mariginalize her and ignore her. I wasn’t even an initial supporter of Hillary (I voted Edwards) but there is NO WAY I will ever vote for Obama even if she is on the ticket. I hope she would not go on the ticket were it offered to her.

  • candymarl

    It’s interesting that MSNBC would put on a person that refers to Obama as already being President. That advocates for the VP spot for Hillary.

    Why don’t they interview some other people, like PUMA folks, who may disagree.

    I see this as an effort by the MSM to sway Clinton voters with the promise that Hillary will be the VP.

    We’ve all seen how well Obama keeps his promises.

    • simanov

      They don’t do interviews over there, those are little skits.

  • one eyed jack

    Dear John 4u. No. I am a divorced democrat and I like being single and in control of my vote. I am now a dating Independent and doing fine without the ball and chain of the corrupt dem party (once headed by Howard Dean the elite socialist). Currently looking for an American relationship with a party that is genuinely in tune with true Americans and their wishes and dreams. Adios Dear John, AKA the Howard Dean/Obama party.

    • beebop

      Hear hear!!!! Very well put.

  • meileen

    Not gonna be able to rally me. I WILL NOT vote for ‘president obama.’

    These folks should be reporting on PUMA; they are afraid to cover the real issues, and will only bring forth people sympathetic with O’s campaign. Guess that’s why many of us no longer watch their network.

  • sayitisntso aka elizinsandi

    My 2 cents:

    A teaspoon of wine in a bottle of sewage is sewage.
    A teaspoon of sewage in a bottle of wine is sewage.

    The worst thing for Hillary at this point would be to legitimize and smooth over Obama’s thug campaign’s errors.

    As much as I like Hillary, I cannot vote for a ticket with Bobo as president. Ever.
    I’ve never had such a visceral reaction to a candidate in my life, and then the mental reasoning sets in with the lies, flipflops, bad business and religious associates, Rezko, et al. All this has been complicated by the DNC’s underhanded
    championing of Bobo and disenfranchisement of voters.

    Hillary has more integrity than to be Obama’s puppet as VP.

    There is no unity in the Democratic Party. Obama is an unqualified, inexperienced, corrupt politician tied to criminals and terrorists, he has no integrity, he’s sexist, arrogant, and has gone back on his word time after time.

    It makes little sense for us to be considering Hillary for the VP slot. I thought our purpose was to knock some sense into the Superdelegates and to knock Obama out.

    If we are unsuccessful in this quest then if he asks her to be VP it would not be voting against Hillary to NOT vote for Obama.

    • Lou

      I think it’s a distraction. Everytime they panic they talk about Hillary for VP.

      • beebop

  • http://uppitywoman08.wordpress.com Uppity Woman

    I can’t keep all these groups straight any longer to be honest. I will stick to PUMA/JSND as they reflect my thoughts.

    While all the “bring us together” demands are all very nice, they are also all very late. Fixing things for the future does not erase the way this party has handled things. There are plenty of things that don’t need fixing. What we need is to rid ourselves of the people who played the system and used their own rules to suit them. I do not forgive this and quite honestly, Barack Obama could kiss my butt on national TV and I still wouldn’t trust him or forgive him. I don’t trust him with my country. I don’t trust him with my life. And I CERTAINLY don’t trust him with my rights as a woman. I find his judgment completely unsound and in keeping with the Narcissist personality, which in itself disqualifies him.

    Barack OBama could pick my mother as his VP and I still would not vote for him. THe last thing I want to see is Hillary standing next to him. He is a loser and she would only serve to help this madman win. Anybody who has ever spent any time in corporate America recognizes the mediocre man who hires the superior woman to hold his ass up and make him look good. Then he prances and preens around everyone and takes the credit. To me, Hillary as his VP is an insult to her intelligence. And always remember the difference between VP and President. I will not participate in putting this jerk in the position of the most powerful person in the world.

    • one eyed jack

      Well, you know Obama is and will be sending all his pimps out to try and entice the rube who is all trusting?

    • vera possumus

      I have to agree.

      The VP job (with the exception of Voldemort Cheney) is pretty much a do-nothing job. And if Hillary accepted it I think that BO and MO would lock her in the attic (metaphorically). It would be a waste of her talents, all just to get Mr. Blind Ambition the next shiny object he wants.

      Obama is bad news. He’s a sexist with a narcissistic personality disorder. No compassion, no empathy, except that which he fakes in order to manipulate others.

      Obama feels inferior/insecure and grandiose at the same time. That’s a bad psychological cocktail to be running the world.

    Don’t forget something, dollars speak and according to the low fundraising Obama has achieved in June, let him roll into Denver with a lousy bankroll and the DNC pretty much broke, then let’s see just how attractive Bambi is to the convention!

    Do not forget to send in 2 cents in the Obama prepaid envelopes as a contribution and request a tax receipt for your contribution, to become one of Obama’s millions of small donors!

    After Brazille, Dean and the rest of the cowards in the DNC actually ripped off delegates from Clinton on May 31st the truth was out–they would do anything to make the Marxist the nominee. They destroyed the party, there is no more Democratic party and Hillary needs to stay as far away from this disaster as possible. As for those of us who have voted Democratic for more than 30 years Jesus himself could run as VP and I would still not vote for BO(oh wait a minute that’s not possible since he and his followers think he is Jesus).Anyway we can’t put the horse back in the barn, there’s no unifying this party, all we can do is vote Clinton or McCain.

      Thats the best i can do at the moment. Please refrain from the wall of text strategy. Take the time to format your posts for maximum effect, especially substantive posts like this that make obama trolls poop their pants.

    I do NOT want Hillary anywhere near him. I will NEVER vote for Obama, I do not trust him and do not want him as POTUS. I do not want any of the Obama sleeze to come anywhere near Hillary. Maybe he should just pick Judas, since so many others are saying No thanks,(Rendell, Webb, ect) it just shows they don’t want to be associated with him either.

    Sorry not buying this at all!Obama sounds like he is honest about this? Oh give us a break.

    And what ever MSNBC-or others have to say of John McCain or Hillary as a way to get peoples into msnbc lies.We are not buying nothing the low life of the media like MSNBC is.We saw we heard and we will never fall in line!

    There is a user named halcyon083 posting a number of times at this YouTube who continues to disparage HRC. Looks to me like a tactic to keep her off the ticket.

    I was on that website yesterday, and there was so much negative feedback on the Hillary for VP segment of their pledge that they took it out.

    The only thing worse than watching the DNC rig the election, would be watching Hillary clean up the mess, and to watch her spend the next 8 years making “President Obama” look good.

    I don’t want Hillary to be his VP but IF she should be his VP is would be REALLY hard to vote against her. I think that’s the way many Hillary supporters who are considering voting for Mccain or not voting feel..I don’t want her on that ticket and I don’t want a ‘President Obama’ (urrrg) but if VP is what she wants to do I’d most likely won’t vote for McCain maybe I would stay home…but probably I’d vote for the ticket unless I were convinced that it isn’t really what Hillary wants and they are just forcing her to be his VP because he can’t win without her…

    • http://mccaindemocrats.wordpress.com/ 30yrdem-not any more

    If Donna, Dean and Polosi do find a way to shut down the democratic process in the general election and Obama is selected I doubt if a month would go by before impeachment hearings start. His whole administration will be tainted including his VP.
    If she is not the nominee I am voting McCain. If she is on his ticket I am still voting McCain.

    • http://mccaindemocrats.wordpress.com/ 30yrdem-not any more

      well that’s 2 votes for McCain…when I see crap like that video above it makes my blood boil..we knew they would lie to the people they did it all through the primary..NBC/MSNBC all of them aren’t worth a hill of beans…. I read a piece awhile back about how the REAL journalist don’t know what the hell to do about all the crap coming out of NBC/MSNBC…

  • Clinton Fan

    There’s only one way Clinton would “work” on that ticket–and that’s at the TOP of it.

    Obama as Lead Dog is dead meat, and everyone knows it.

    Further, Obama’s “Fuck U” Team has already announced that Patti Solis Doyle is going to be the VP’s assistant, the “Scooter Libby” in his fantasy White House–that hardly bodes well for any genuine THOUGHT of Clinton on the ticket.

    This is a PLOY to pry dollars from unwilling donors. Anyone who buys it is an idiot.

    • http://www.sugarnspice.typepad.com Sugar

      “Anyone who buys it is an idiot.”

      Yes. She would have no real duties as his VP. Nothing that would make any difference, so not voting or voting against HIM is not a vote against HER!

    I am standing by Hillary in Denver.I will not fall in line in the ways the DNC-OBAMA-OBAMA CAMP AND THE MEDIA WHO MSNBC WE CAN’T CALL A MEDIA.Their ways of reporting can no longer be trusted,ever. Because they wanted their pick of their candidate.We the people did not matter.We the peope were throw aside like trash.We the people will stand our grounds.We will not be used by the media-Obama-Democratic party who took the will from the people of america.

    And to still go around and spit out untruth on McCain to get people to try and move over.Oh speaking move over. moveon has also been throw under the bus.And to think you can even try to get Hilalry’s supporters to come around.NO!we will never kiss your ass.So as DNC-MSNBC-OBAMA SAID”JUST GET OVER IT” Well you just get over it.we will not fall in your line.

    Lou, Pelosi is feeling the heat. Being asked to resign. Over the gas crisis, she’s really looking ridiculous.

      Whoa. Pelosi being asked to resign? As I was watering my garden last night I was thinking, Pelosi gone, Ted retired, patrick leahy retires, Kerry loses seat, Sen of WV dies..Dean gets to be on BO vp ticket..and we take back the party.
      Everyone should imagine good things to relieve this undemocratic stress we are experiencing.

      Are they required to call Pelosi madame president?
      Hillary was speaking in the senate last night and called someone madam president and said “for the record I note the absense of madam president.”
      get the video form her senate website.

      • ginaswo still says no Uhhbama

        no Pelosi is in the House, whomever is the rotating Senator taking the chair to oversee the floor of the Senate is addressed as President..

  • Lou

    Obama doesn’t even qulaify for POTUS as per the DNC rules. He hinself said when asked if he was more a dem or more a repub in stance..said “I do not subscribe to labels”

    DNC Rule VI. of the Rules for becoming PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES:

    The term “presidential candidate” herein shall mean any person who, as determined by the National
    Chairperson of the Democratic National Committee, has accrued delegates in the nominating process and
    plans to seek the nomination, has established substantial support for his or her nomination as the
    Democratic candidate for the Office of the President of the United States, is a bona fide Democrat whose
    record of public service, accomplishment, public writings and/or public statements affirmatively
    demonstrates that he or she is faithful to the interests, welfare and success of the Democratic Party of the United States, and will participate in the Convention in good faith.

    • ginaswo still says no Uhhbama

      this part here is why Hillary has to fundraise for Uhhbama:
      demonstrates that he or she is faithful to the interests, welfare and success of the Democratic Party of the United States,

        yes, ginaswo -Hillary, unlike OBAMBI, is a TRUE DEMOCRAT. But we know when a true Democrat gets screwed by the Politburo of the Donna, Screamer Dr. Dean, REid, Madame Pelose-for-Obamabi crowd!

        HILLARY OR NO VOTE!

        NOBAMA ’08

  • britgirls

    I know I’m probably preaching to the choir here, but a vote for Hillary as VP is a vote for her to NEVER be president.

    I know it may be tempting to some, but PLEASE think it through and don’t vote for Obama/Clinton (if it comes to that).

    If Obama/Clinton loses in November (I’m convinced he’s going to lose to McCain by a landslide) then she will be blamed and he’ll probably run again in 2012. If you’re feeling pissed now … just imagine that.

    If Obama/Clinton wins then she’ll be given no useful role in the administration because she’ll just make him look like the complete idiot he is. He’ll be voted out in 2012 and she’ll have to wait until 2016 or 2020. Good Lord, how long do we have to wait?

    Let’s just press the SDs to do their job at the convention. No matter what the media says, he’s not the nominee until they cast their votes. Let’s hope they paid attention to that Rasmussen poll yesterday.

  • Madison

    Well Nancy Pelosi-Howard Dean-Donna Brazile-and more should ask to resign,if not they should pack their bags and stay away from the senate and Washington.That goes for Obama to.

    LOW LIFES.

    I disagree with some of your assessments regarding this website. The woman in the video is only one of the Hillraisers involved. Check out what Lady Lynn de Rothchild has to say about Obama. • Deelee

    Her’s something to think about.
    Yesterday Obama was talking economics. He said he would save us $10 Billion a month that we are spending in Iraq.

    This is the same man that proposed giving the U.N. $845 BILLION of our money for third world poverty relief.
    That is the equivelant of the war lasting for another 7 to 8 YEARS.

    What I would like to know is if he’s ending the war to save taxpayers money and pay for his health plan (as he’s said on numerous occasions) where is this $845 Billion coming from and how much is he going to save us? (of course we all know that if he did that, most of the money would end up in African dictators pockets)

    • Lou

      Obama will raise my business taxes up to 51.3% woe is me.

    I finally got on that site…no I didn’t cuss her out..I didn’t even comment but I did read a bit…it seems she has already been told some of us don’t want Hill as VP…I still say it is a bunch of lies …Obama is behind it….why else did he call her…He can just take a long walk on a shot bridge or something because I don’t even want to look at his awful face anymore…

    • http://dontcallmesweetie.blogspot.com/ Blu

      It could be if Obama personally called all 18 million of us Hillary supporters he would get 10% maybe 15% to jump on his bandwagon (not me). If he puts Hillary on the ticket he may get 20% – 25% of us (not me). That still leaves 13 or 14 million Democratic votes going to McCain.
      If the Democratic leaders really want the Whitehouse they will need to go back and count the actual votes cast during the primaries, give Hillary the delegates she won and then let them cast their ballots at the convention in Denver.
      I also think the ballots cast by the superdelegates should be a secret ballot to cut down on intimidation and bribes.

  • Ann On

    I want Clinton as POTUS. Barring a miracle at the convention, that means defeating Barky so that she can run in 2012. So I’ll be voting McCain if she’s not at the top of the ticket this year.

  • Dean

    No ticket for V.P for Hillary. That scum bag of a so called senator Obasma.He is a dirty as they come.And he thinks that having a shot list with Hillary on it will help his ass. No never I will not vote for Obama for any reason.

    I don’t want Hillary as VP, top of the ticket or nothing, period. These people are wolves in sheep’s clothing. They want our votes and now they are going to put us through the indignity of the winner to take second place so the loser can win. No way. He/they will have to win without us.

  • http://Reddragon62.blogspot.com/ RedDragon62

    I don’t know about you, but I do not believe anything supporters of Barackula say.
    Seems to me he found ONE woman to pimp out to the Media. Come now, do any of us actually believe Obama has even THOUGHT about Hillary as a Veep? He fears her!
    This woman does not speak for the 18 million that voted for Hillary nor does she speak for the many women that voted for her. I smell a rat here.

    He needs to give the impression that he is “playing” nice. This will pass.

    As soon as he gets what he wants out of “Us” he will quickly “Dump” those of us that are stupid enough to believe what he says. Don’t fall for his tricks. He has NO intention of allowing Hillary anywhere NEAR the White House if he in fact does get elected. That is a BIG IF!

    And….I do not believe Pelosi will allow Obama to pick Hillary. Pelosi does not want any other Woman stealing her Thunder. Just think about that for a second. It was apparent from the beginning that Hillary was a threat to her.

    Now I cannot speak for any woman as I am a simple “man”, but I do not believe my “sisters” are that stupid to over look what Obama and his legion of “Storm Troopers have done. Nothing this man says or does can heal this wound short of quitting and acknowledging Hillary as the legitimate candidate.

    Short of that…..the rest is noise!

  • RepublicanChick

    I have read this thread with some amusement. If Hillary’s faithful supporters follow their convictions and demand her name is on the ballot, what seems to be the issue? The issue would be resolved out in the open for everyone to see.

    If Hillary’s name is on the ballot and she loses, her supporters will have to deal with it. However, by shutting out Hillary Clinton the DNC is preparing for a civil war within their party.

    Believe me, I’m praying for one in my own party.

    Last night I read that 8 SD’s that were once for Obama are prepared to vote for Hillary. At first, I thought that was interesting; but I realized what bothered me was it could be a huge ploy to draw in the PUMA members. If that is the case, they’ve underestimated PUMA members.

    We do not agree politically, but most PUMA members and their blogs have been gracious and answered any questions I had regarding the Democratic process to nominating their candidate.

    The Obama campaign wants to “reach out” to all Americans, but I only see more of the same old Washington mentality in running campaigns.

    I am less than thrilled that McCain is my party’s nominee, but watching the NY Times question McCain’s birth certificate has struck a nerve with me. For those of us not born in the United States due to our parents service in the military, this is the wrong path to go down for the NY Times and those folks at DailyKos that are questioning McCain’s legality to running for President.

    It would be interesting to see what Obama’s supporters will do if Hillary becomes the nominee in Denver. Will they support her?

    I doubt it. Very few have shown much class throughout this process.

    • Lou

      The Obama campaign wants to “reach out” to all Americans

      Yes just long enough to get your vote and then kick you and your concerns to the curb.

    • Lou

      It would be interesting to see what Obama’s supporters will do if Hillary becomes the nominee in Denver. Will they support her?

      I doubt it. Very few have shown much class throughout this process.

      Hillary doesn’t need Obama supporters votes. She has won most all the counties in most every state and these rural counties are loaded with repubs both male and female openly supporting Hillary IN DROVES. She can have a landslide victory! This is reality and not wishful thinking.
      Don’t forget that most of those Obama votes are contrived
      . They are made up of people who didn’t vote but were added into the count as voted for Obama.
      People who were dead and the list is long-underage unqualified voters, serial voters in every state and more groupings too numerous to mention.

      Also remember that Hillary has way more than 18 million voters. Hundreds of Thousands of her votes were not counted and/or were thrown in the trash.

      FACTS ARE A BITCH HUH?

        I know several Republicans that supported Hillary in the primaries only because they knew McCain was going to win in the latter stages.

        Lou, I wasn’t trying to start a fight; but I have seen less graciousness on the part of Obama voters than Hillary voters. Yes, that says a lot more about the candidates because the people that support them are truly the people selling their candidate to the man/woman on the street.

        I hadn’t realized that Obama’s “non-voters” were counted in his column. Try as I might to follow what is going on, I had never read the comments about Obama’s contrived voters. Interesting and scary to think we’re now adding contrived voters to the voted column.

        If you have a link I can read this further, I would greatly appreciate it.

        • Lou

          scuse me..these repubs waiting to vote for Hill have not done the cross-over in the primary because they have a conscience and know it is immoral. they have never voted for Hill but are dying to..
          A little fact that I left out.
          Yeah scary is right for the way Obama gamed the primary and will game the GE. He doesn’t need the people (voters) he said..just send the checks he told Rendell..
          Registered voters who didn’t go to vote at the polls were taken from the list and added in Obamas column and this will be the main method of gaming the GE.

        • Lou

          PS it’s common knowledge here. We ate it up and spit it up long ago. It’s hard to digest.

    I hope Hillary is not on the ticket. It would be a disastrous move on.

    Obama will lose in November. She should not be part of that ticket. She would be blamed for his defeat. She will become another Ferraro.

    Much better for her to wait another four years and run again like Reagan did.

    They are just doing what they do…divide and try to conquer. They think if they can compromise the opposition, and convince voters that all the PUMApac has come on board for Obama if Hillary is on the ticket, then they will have us where they want us and be just as abusive as ever.

    I don’t truth Obama.I really feel that we are in more danger of our country with him in office.Just the bad judgements-His ads now that he runs on values-His liesHis flip flops-Other country who have now said Obama is a user.And now they are really upset with us because of Obama’s flips and flops.His ways of like sending messages through his words to others.

    I will not even vote Obama even if Hillary is on a shot list or picked as V.P. My country means more to me to fall in line with a demcoartic party leaders who sit back and does nopthing with his lies and Msnbc covers it up.

    His fake birth certificate.Are they buying time to try and make it more real,being they know what they did wrong on this fake birth cerificate.Well I am not buying as well into anything the media -Democratic party has to say.

    I am for Hillary and will be there in Denver.But I will not vote Obama never.I will go with another great choice and that’s McCain.

    Obama -ZERO-NEVER-NOWAY- GET LOST.

          Yes, McCain is a hero. But NOT to women. Did you hear what he had said about poor Chelsea 13 years ago and what was reported that he said to his loyal and too-good-for-him wife Cindy? You better google for his comment because NOQUARTER is not an Obama MSNBC/CNN/ or McCave FOX Excrement-production reporting centre!
          McCave is not better (maybe 2%)than Obambi!

            If the Clintons don’t hold it against McCain, why do you?

            I read a report about when Hillary became a Senator, McCain made a point of seeking her out and apologizing.

            Obama’s never done that.

            Content of character not color of skin – see MLK.

      • Steven Mather

        You have given no indication that you are fit to judge who is real and who is not.

  • connie

    Jill Iscoll, no #2 for Hillary. You know the character of Obama. He is a user. After he has trashed Hillary in the primary with the blessings of those useless, spineless DNC leaders he will do put Hillary in his ticket. You see what will happen? If he wins, he’ll do things like what he is doing now with his flip flops that Hillary will be embarrassed, stressed, disappointed, and will really regret she placed herself in that predicament. He might put Hillary under the bus if she disagrees with him. Now if he loses and he will, because those people who have decided not to vote for him even if Hillary is in the ticket will not really vote for him, he’ll blame Hillary. Let the Superdelegates decide in August. Anyway, Obama is not yet a nominee. If the Superdelegates go for him then let them suffer their defeat. By that time, a great number of Democrats now have left. I, among them. DON’T BE FOOLED…

  • Andrea

    I don’t want to stomp on other PUMA opinions, but I highly question the fact that MSNBC gave this woman 5 minutes to speak about Hillary as VP and how it will help Obama. I feel that Obama is starting to get worried about the lack of support and is now starting to consider USING Clinton to win. I cannot support him, regardless if Clinton is the VP and I think it will be a huge mistake for her if she is. I hope PUMAs can see this as a political ploy and a tactic that the Obama camp may use in order to sweep all the crap they have done throughout this primary under the rug. I won’t forget, and I refuse to vote an inexperienced person into the presidency.

    • rjj

      When has MSNBC given five minutes to anybody other than Regimists or Obamanates? Three minutes? One minute?

      • rjj

        Wasn’t it MSNBC that gave Larry Johnson a fifteen second shot of him walking and five-ten seconds to have his say?

    TO ALL FLORIDEANS
    PLEASE READ
    AND VOTE HIM OUT

    Move on send me this email. I am not their supporter so I don’t know how they got my info. I sent them a whopping finger wagging letter back.
    here is their email to me.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Last week I forwarded you an important email from MoveOn, regarding FOX’s use of language against Senator Obama and his wife, Michelle. Many thousands of you joined the petition, and for that I thank you. Below is an update on that campaign that was sent earlier this week.
    With great respect,
    Congressman Robert Wexler
    ———————————————
    Dear MoveOn member,
    Over 428,000 people have signed a petition telling FOX to stop their racist and hate-filled smears against Barack Obama. If we hit half-a-million signatures, we can draw media attention and put pressure on FOX’s advertisers.
    Plus, Robert Greenwald’s Brave New Films released a video this morning documenting FOX’s ongoing smears against Michelle Obama. Please check out the video, and then sign the petition calling on FOX to stop peddling racism—and then tell your friends. Just click here:
    Click here
    Here’s the link: https://pol.moveon.org/donate/foxsmears.html?rc=wexler2
    FOX is shameless: in the last several weeks alone, they’ve “confused” Obama’s name with Osama’s, referred to Michelle as “Obama’s Baby Mama,” and called an affectionate fist bump by Barack and Michelle a “terrorist fist jab.”
    Our partners at ColorOfChange.org will hold a major event next week to deliver boxes and boxes of petition signatures to FOX’s headquarters. If we can deliver half-a-million signatures, other media outlets will have a powerful story to report—and FOX’s advertisers will get the hint that it’s not a good idea to associate their products with FOX’s hate-speech.
    Thanks for helping to fight the right-wing smears.
      Dear “Wexler for Congress”,
      Baby Drama Mama doesn’t seem to have problems with her husband’s minions disrespecting women. What say she?
      Hate speech as you call it is protected by the First amendment. You don’t just get to use it against someone when you don’t agree. MoveOn.org’s board and actions remind me sometimes that I hate what they say, but they’re protected to say it.
      Osama and Obama. I thought the picture on Nobamanetwork.com was fantastic. The difference is B.S.
      As Obama and his supporters have been trying to say to the rest of us, “Lighten Up”.
      By the way, wasn’t MoveOn.org the same folks that put together some nasty anti-military commercials? If so, they most certainly aren’t helping their case, or Obama’s, by putting themselves front and center. It might just create the type of reaction Republicans need to get motivated for John McCain.
      Sincerely,
      A Right Winger
    • BJ
      Hey,
      we wanna read your letter back to them :) lol
      • Lou
        I wish I had it. It was scrumptuosly delicious and I told
        wexler to come out and publicly unendorse Obama or the Pumas would bit him in the arse..and stop his carrer for congress.
        I don’t save sent mail in my email..too much clutter. I have it checked not to save the sent mail. Plus with FISA I don’t want that in my email box.
    • candymarl
      Now they’re worried about hate speech. Too bad it did bother Wexler when Hillary was being referred to as a b*tch and a wh*re.
      When it was suggested that “someone”, obviously not her husband, needed to f**k her.
      When so-called liberals brought up Monica and Jennifer. No outrage there.
      That Hillary was equivalent to the character Glenn Close played in Fatal Attraction and she “should have stayed in the bathtub”.
      Where was Wexler’s outrage then? Nowhere to be found.
      Now any criticism of Obama and Michelle is racism and hate speech.
      Once again, the Obamas are victims. Unless they work out their victims issues they’re not fit to be President and First Lady.
      • candymarl
        “didn’t bother Wexler”
  • CJ
    Despite having removed myself from the DNC email list, they continue to send them. I just received this one, again, asking for money.
    Dear XXXXXX,
    I wanted to make sure you saw this opportunity to be a part of our convention in Denver this August.
    If selected, you and a friend will go Backstage with Barack and be a part of history.
    As we continue to build our 50-state strategy, your support is crucial to preparing for victory in November. Please take a moment and make a contribution so you can be a part of this special opportunity.
    It would be great to see you in Denver!
    Thanks for all you do,
    Tom McMahon
    Yeah, I’ll be a part of your convention, but not exactly as one of the Kool-A kids! And really, backstage passes to meet the rock star, no thanks. I haven’t been a groupie since Herman’s Hermits. However, I do accept your thank you for all that I am doing….PUMA!
    • Lou
    If Hillary is his VP it’s only because Precious finally has to concede that he needs her to win…something that we have known for a very long time.
    Personally, I’m hoping that his campaign implodes before the convention…but I think that’s unlikely.
    If not, I’m voting for McCain.
      Remember, the “facts are a bitch” thing?
      Little details like what you just printed don’t seem to register with a lot of Obama’s supporters nor their counterparts on TV.
      • Lou
        We know that. We are tired of repeating so we just talk amongst ourselves now.
  • WasLNbutNoBamaBotsKeepStealingMyName
    The only way I’ll ever feel at all kindly toward nobama is if he withdraws from the race and goes home to Chicago or wherever he is supposedly from.
    don’t forget to wear knee pads and other like gear to the convention. Karate stores carry great body pads to protect you and fit under clothes.
    Honestly Susan,
    I am stunned you wrote this:
    “I respect Jill Iscoll’s expression of her viewpoint, and her courage in appearing on MSNBC, which is generally unfriendly terroritory for Clinton supporters.”
    and
    “Check out Together4Us , and consider signing the group’s pledge”
    You of course are free to change your mind and post what you want but seriously I bet I speak for a few people on here that it sounds like an alien took over your body- this isn’t the Susan we know and normally read from.
    I’m personally shocked that it was actually you who wrote that- or actually find it hard to believe it actually was you who wrote that.
    I am still fuming from that video-
    • Lou
      We do not know if Jill was threatened. Alot of what goes on with Obama is unbelievable.
  • http://regencyg.livejournal.com/69390.html Regency
    No Hillary as VP ever. I’ll never accpet it because she is far more qualified than he is. Anyone who is saying that’s a gift literally doesn’t know what they’re talking about. If she becomes his VP she will likely never be President and frankly that is the worst thing that could happen to this country in peril.
    We need her. He will use her to win then send her to state funerals in Lower Zambuda every chance he gets. She will never be president then. She will either be blamed if his administration fails or she will be too old to run when he gets out in 2016.
    Be realistic. You vote for that ticket you just voted your way out of Hillary Clinton Presidency, what we desperately need.
  • DancingOpossum
    Obi should pick whom ever he wants
    You mean whoever is left after every potential VP candidate heads for the hills.
    And yes, this is all a ploy. And no, it will not work.
    RepublicanChick, who would you prefer as the GOP nom? My Republican bf wanted Romney.
    • RepublicanChick
      DancingOpossum:
      I don’t like any of them. Pathetic, huh?
      Bob Barr, Cynthia McKinney, and Ralph Nader do absolutely nothing for me personally. I have never liked Hillary Clinton, but as I mentioned on another blog…she was treated poorly by Obama, his supporters, and the MSM.
      Therefore, I have to vote in the only manner I can.
      Who is worse? McCain or Obama (assuming he gets the nomination)?
      Obama is the reason I’m voting for McCain.
      I’m tired of voting for the lesser of two evils. I would have voted for McCain in 2000 if he’d been the nominee. Since that election campaign, McCain hasn’t been the same.
    I’d just like to know who people believe Hillary or Obama. I quoted her statement over a month ago in another thread where she said, “I am not being vetted or considered for the VP.” “I will not be running as the VP.” Yet this comes up over and over.
    It was in the same article with John Edwards saying he would not rule out a VP slot, although he hadn’t been vetted or asked.
    He’s not trying to placate her. We’ll perhaps if that is the case he should tell the person who matters HILLARY, because apparently she said/believes something different. I believe “HER!”. Perhaps if she’s a real Hillary supporter she should be listening to what Hillary says, not what Obama tells her. If she was being vetted why?!?! would she just as recently as two days ago announce she’ll be running again in 2012? That makes absolutely NO sense. (Special thank you to Ann for the link)
    If she is not at the TOP of that ticket I am voting for McCain in November. Now I’m so angry I don’t care if he has Goofy running for his VP I’m still voting for him. And Hillary again in 2012. Period.
    • RepublicanChick
      There is no need to insult Goofy. He’s lovable–unlike Obama.
      • Diana
        lol I apologize.
  • rjj
    Since that election campaign, McCain hasn’t been the same.
    And why do you think that is – or might be? Remember what happened to him in that campaign?
    • rjj
      the above is a reply to Comment by RepublicanChick | 2008-07-16 17:12:42
      the McCain hasn’t been the same comment is her statement.
    • RepublicanChick
      I think what happened to Bridget McCain in South Carolina was atrocious. It had an Atwater stench to it, but I think the continual attacks on his wife, the subtle ones on Bridget, and the attacks that he wasn’t a good Republican changed the way he engaged party faithfuls.
      If you spend your whole life supporting a party and a platform, you would expect some of the leadership to treat you with respect. He got none.
      He’s changed so much that he’s cutting off those of us in the “base” that had wanted him all along. We’ve been lumped in with everyone else in the base.
      • rjj
    Oh and while I’m on my rampage.
    Bring us together by adoption of policies on the Platform Committee that Hillary Clinton has championed.
    If we NEED to do this, then let’s let the person who came up with and did all the work on these plans be the one that enacts them. LET’S LET HER RUN. HILLARY! We don’t need Obama to take and enact her plans. He was already handed 25 bills from Jones he did zero of the work on. Yet got all the credit on, while the Senators that did all the work got Zero credit.
  • ritamary
    I will vote for John McCain even if Hillary Clinton is on the ticket for VP. I will not vote for the empty suit vacuous opportunistic fraud for president under any circumstances.
  • Lou
    Obama can spout of her plan but has no idea to implement it or to save $ doing it!!! He hs no idea what the real plan is. Just topics to him.
  • Lou
    My first time voting repub will be this year if Hillary is not the nominee. I told my ninety year old dad and he said everyone in Mass is doing th same.
  • Monet
    I find it interesting that Senator Obama appears to be only reaching out to the Clinton supporters he knows are sympathetic towards him. He doesn’t seem to be calling the ones who have said they won’t support his campaign, with or without Hillary as vice president. At least, they aren’t going on tv to talk about his phone calls.
    I don’t know Ms. Iscoll, but it appears like she jumps from horse to horse, looking for the one that will carry her across the finish line. It doesn’t appear that the horse itself matters, just that he gets across the finish line. She’ll knock on doors from Texas to Pennsylvania to get support for the horse if it will improve her standing with the horse. She’s a brown noser. But at least she’s not forgetting Senator Clinton altogether, she did encourage Senator Obama to choose her as his vice president. But I can’t imagine why he would since she’s stated she’ll support his bid even if he doesn’t.
    If you’re reading along Senator Obama, you don’t have my vote or campaign contributions regardless of who you choose for a running mate.
  • BJ
    Question to all you fellow (real) Hillary supporters:
    From briefly scanning that website, their “archives” only go to July 2008.
    July 2008?
    and yet oddly somehow they had the ability to get on msnbc to “speak for us”?
    DO YOU NOT FIND THAT STRANGE?
    How many would like to bet that the real people behind this website and so-called-group is/are really Obama’s people and/or the Dem party that bows to him?
    • NOBama in August
      Count me in with that sentiment.
  • Annie
    Remembering that episode of Saturday Night Live – there was Hillary the VP in curlers telling Obama what to do. I trust this is not a foretelling of America’s future.
    Obama should get nowhere near that phone.
    The whole process has been a nightmare. There seems to be no laws that can stop him – I don’t understand.
    I am beginning to look forward to 2009 and President John McCain – no matter who HIS vp is. At least we know WHO and WHAT he stands for – America!!!
    Susan, thank you for all your efforts on behalf of those of us who are growning in numbers and determination to change the body politic before the complete distruction of our Constitution and the Democratic Party. I am a little taken back by this post, but I realize you have been through hell for your outspoken support of Hillary and I trust you for this reason. Some other blogs have changed their positions for whatever reasons, and I’m hoping this one will never compromise because I would feel lost should that happen. Just wanna say thanks to you and Larry for this forum.
    Who the h, e, double tooth picks, was that? Make her go away. And who ever said they admire her courage in going on MSNBC guess again. She is lying through her teeth – no one, no one wants Hillary as VP. She is a paid shill, and it is too bad, after that wonderful Lady Lynn to have this one throw dog poop all over their bran new web site. I am going to get my name off their list right now.
    Jill Iscoll is a credit to Hillary and the 18 million supporters. She’s dynamic, succinct and full of confidence.
    Why is it that the Hillary supporters and ALL their blogs are devoid of sarcasm, potty-mouthiness and smug arrogance without factual date to back the arrogance with?! Because all the rest of the juvenile, potty-mouthed, arrogant, MISOGYNIST OBAMABOTS are in the ObaMyopia Campaign and their poor vision grows darker by the day.
    The San Francisco Chronicle has a great article entitled “Still Holding out for Hillary?” that I saw in the HIllary Grassroots Campaign blog! Fantastic. And the writer is the one that Bill Clinton had an argument with that was widely reported in the MSM. Guess what? The lady and her husband (whose whole family travelled to W.Virginia to help Obama) is now a HILLARY SUPPORTER!!!
    Yup, the way it’s going, there aren’re going to be too many ObaMyopics around come November. They’ll see the Light from the 18 million cracks on the DNC ceiling that will explode on their empty Rasputin heads!
    HILLARY FOREVER!
    ObaMyopia is a curable Disease…..
    I wonder just how many women know that Obama campaigned for his cousin Odinga last year in Kenya and donated money to his campaign.
    His marxist-islamist cousin Odinga signed an Agreement with all Islamist Groups to instal SHARIA LAW…fulll cover head to toe for all girls and women and “chastity provisions” Guess that’s the Change that Obama will bring to his new job.
    Disgusting. This woman is delusional if she thinks a majority of the 18 million will vote for Bwack even with Hillary as VP. Now I’m having second thoughts about together4us.
    I got my first call tonight from a DNC fundraiser…I politely said “no deal” and got off the phone.
    This woman thinks Obama would be a great president?
    Ridiculous.
    The only time I will vote for Obama is if he running as the Vice President of Sen Hillary Clinton.
    Vox Populi, Vox Dei.
    The voice of the people is the voice of God. Sen Hillary Clinton received the most votes. Period. She should be the Democratic nominee.
    For party unity, I think she should get Sen Obama as her running mate.
    The woman on MSNBC should interview a PUMA representative.
    What part of Hell No! We won’t vote for BO! don’t these idiots understand?
    There’s no enticing with Hillary. There’s no cajoling or sweet talking that will make a difference.
    We simply do no want Barack Obama – not in any form or with any door prizes attached.
    No VP. Down with Obama. If he wins there will be no checks and balances. Do you trust him with that kind of power?
    FISA = Rubber stamped warrants without cause
    Filibuster Proof Dem Congress = no check on presidents power to make legislation.
