<blockquote>"Mathematical proof that there is no “climate crisis” appears today in a major, <strong>peer-reviewed</strong> paper in Physics and Society, a learned journal of the 10,000-strong American Physical Society, SPPI reports. "</blockquote>

This isn't true. The article has <strong>not been peer reviewed</strong>. Anyone who had actually bothered to READ it would have noticed this, as it says point blank on the first page it is not peer reviewed:
"The following article has not undergone any scientific peer review, since that is not normal procedure for American Physical Society newsletters."

Nor is it a major paper. Its an article in a newsletter written by a journalist.

Yeah, it's not perfect. It's my understanding that fluorescent bulbs have always contained mercury, so over the years many have gone into landfills. Here we are required to take all spent fluorescent bulbs to a recycling facility and pay 15 cents per bulb for proper disposal. I don't mind. But in Europe, the disposal fee is included in the price of the bulb, and the manufacturers are required to take care of recycling. That would be the better short term solution. Long term solution being research and production of safer bulbs. Clinton wants to word for R&D/clean energy jobs (among other things) to get the economy going, people working, and move the country toward energy self-sufficiency.

With bo, doubt American companies would ever be required to be responsible for the products they produce... actually, bo pushed for legislation to make it harder to sue companies for products that result in injury. So, he most certainly is pro big business/big profits, and would not likely back a plan such as the one in Europe.

And as you point out, he doesn't give a rat's ass about the environment or if people start glowing in the dark from radiation... probably considers it a plus, 'cause then we wouldn't need CFs!

How the hell did they measure Pluto's temperature to know whether or not it's "warmed up" ANY?
I'd also like to know how we have the technology to determine that Pluto's temperature has warmed yet we're supposedly accepting 50-year-old "wisdom" that "climate more than two weeks ahead is impossible"?
Regardless of what the Science and Public Policy Institute CLAIMS, I don't see that their "proof" has any more validity than what they attempt to refute.
After going to their website and checking some of the names connected, I found that one name included the word "Republican" in his biography and another name mentioned "Margaret Thatcher" in his. This (to me, at least) suggests that the "Institute" is NOT as "[f]ree from affiliation to any corporation or political party" as it claims to be.

Al only has a 10,000 sq foot home.

He has been known to fly on a private Gulfstream Jet, the kind that he would whack you over the head for using.

In the year 2006, the Gore's kilowatt consumption was 191,000, with average consumption for a typical Nashville home of 15,500 kilowatts.

Whew! Monsanto. Wow. How about the company that sells genetically modified grain (to resist wheat blight, I think) and requires farmers to buy new grain every year?

They sue if they THINK you've used post-harvest seeds. They sue if some of their wheat turns up in your fields even if you don't buy or plant their product.

They want farmers to have to buy grain every year. And as you know, if you grow something, you can plant new seeds resulting from that growth.

Unless you've got grain from Monsanto.

When Omigodno was in Montana for last call he told everyone in his first breathtaking moment on stage that he was running for President so he could save "these" mountains for "our children and grandchildren"...so they could hike there.

I rushed to call on friends and famiy up north to be sure the Poconos were still there. They were, thank goodness. The streams and creeks are another thing though.

Thank god they won't have to CHANGE the name of that State come 1/15/09.

Next thing: Probably gonna push back the date for his Coronation.

I heard him loud and clear. He's so under the mattress because he knows he next under you know where.

It would be a nice CHANGE if eveyone would whisper into a hot mic once in awhile.

HoBO is juggling everybody's balls these days.

Jesse, at least you won't have to go to jail when this all said and done.
