If you could objectively read “The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich” and you weren’t aware how the story would turn out, then you might not think things in 1936 Germany were so bad. Germany hosted the Olympics, Adolf was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, and the Nazi’s were just a powerful political party. Fascism seemed to be the way out of the depression, and Mussolini even praised “Roosevelt’s assumption of extraordinary powers as evidence that dictatorial methods were superceding democratic governments.” Hmmmmm, I’m getting deja vu.

It would take an extremely closed mind for someone well educated in history to not recognize the many parallels between 1930′s Germany and what is happening in our country today. And one of the most striking similarities is the potentially destructive and creepy “cult of personality” that is pandemic in a usually perceptive country. Since you belong to that cult Nasty, I’m sure any criticism of your icons is intolerable for you, but I’m also sure you had no problems with some of the viciously evil things said about Bush for the last nine years.
