Senator Obama: Are These Some of Our Enemies You Want To “Talk To”?

Senator Obama, I thought the footage of you shooting hoops in Kuwait today was really cute. And now you are in Afghanistan. You’re just one cuddly guy in photo ops, aren’t you? Quite a few of us suspect if you were really in Afghanistan fighting for America, you would be off in a corner in the fetal position, but we won’t get into that.

So here you are shooting your hoops. Nice special move just for the girls, Senator. We know you never pass up an opportunity to look like a macho stud. We’ve noticed. After all, that’s what being Presidential is all about, right?

YouTube Preview Image

Well that was enjoyable wasn’t it, Senator? I just wanted you to know that there were a few other things happening in Afghanistan besides your hoop shooting this week.

Senator, basketball is really cool. But I was wondering about your intentions to “talk to our enemies without preconditions“. Below is the Taliban executing two Afghan women they decided were prostitutes, a common and convenient ‘excuse’ in the Middle East, you know. Kind of like when you and all your pals call us all HOs.

It also seems that while the Taliban was executing these women, an AP photographer, whose balls should be removed in public without an anesthetic, took a lovely video of the whole affair.

Now Senator, I realize these are just women. From what I have seen of you and your campaign, women aren’t really all that significant in the mysterious and not-very-clear world you have planned for us, but I was just wondering, Senator, When you sit down to talk with these savage sacks of crap, what exactly could you possibly want to say to them? Just curious.

You can get back to your photo ops now, Senator. I wouldn’t want to interrupt your “foreign relations experience” trip with reality or anything. I suppose as a minimum, these women should be grateful they weren’t living in Pakistan, where they set women on fire for “honor”. That’s why I wonder why you are so thrilled to have Pakistani duel citizens throw fund raisers for you in San Francisco’s billionaire row, but hey, what do I know? I’m just a woman- albeit a woman who wouldn’t trust you as far as I can throw a basketball.

****WARNING! Graphic video of execution of two women by a whole boatload of big, strong, powerful theocratic “men” who require assault rifles to do in two unarmed women.*****

And here are some stills, taken by that fine brave courageous AP photographer who risked his shutter finger. No sense in missing a good shot, right?

The two women, made to squat on their heels, awaiting their executions.

Two Dead Women, and a group of he-men checking out the show and having a bit of a chuckle. No big deal, right?

Don’t you know that it’s: Basket Ball First
    Waffles Second
    Human Lives Third.
Unless of course there is someone who’s in need of being thrown under a bus, that pushes the lives down to Fourth!

Yeah, take the picture, take the picture. So all those gullible voters back home can see how worshipped and adored Barry is around the world.

Only one problem. He’s completely dissed foreign journalists. Gonna be awfully difficult to fit “the world” under the bus.

Thanks, Mary Pat, for the revealing article regarding Obama’s avoidance of foreign journalists. It appears that the chosen one is just as afraid to talk to anyone who might dare ask him a hard question, as he is to face John McCain and American voters at town hall meetings.

      • fif

The truth vs. the illusion of this guy is just a gaping canyon. “Obamamania around the world.” Gag. The truth is: people around the world are desperate for ANYONE but Bush. They really like Hillary as well, and would have been thrilled to see her. This sham only continues because of the complicity of the media. This journalist, a German, tells it like it is. Axelrod/Obama HAVE to keep him at a distance–that’s why there are so few debates scheduled with McCain. Look what happened when he actually had to answer complex questions in detail next to Hillary. His numbers went down EVERY SINGLE TIME, because people realized the reality was much less impressive than the faux savior they have created.

Isn’t it good then that the Democrats have a candidate committed to strengthening the fledgling democracy in Afghanistan so that the Taliban can be beaten. A move that can only work when troops are removed from Iraq, with a clear timetable for withdrawal. Something the Iraqi Leader backs

He already his trainees in his army of threatening sycophants on the internet who continually try to scare us into silence. I just dealt with one handily on my blog an hour ago. So please let’s not pretend that Barack Obama is interested in Democracy as we know it.

HERE IS MORE OF THE WONDERFUL DEMS AND THEIR SCAM ON AMERICA!
      AL GORE: AN INCONVENIENT DOUCHE
      by Buffalo Beast

      by Paul Fallon

Why does Michael Moore support Al Gore? Moore’s movies bravely take on the media establishment, piercing false assumptions and telling unpopular stories that need to be told. Predictably, he is vilified for doing so. Nevertheless, he attacks when given a chance, as when he recently laid it on the line with Wolf Blitzer on CNN, asking, “Why don’t you tell the truth to the American people? I mean, I wish that CNN and the other mainstream media would just for once tell the truth about what’s going on in this country, whether it’s with health care — I don’t care what it is. I mean, you guys have such a poor track record. And I’m just curious when are you going to just stand there and apologize to the American people for not bringing the truth to them that isn’t sponsored by some major corporation?” Right on, Mike!

But then Moore starts blabbering about how he hopes Al Gore will get in the 2008 presidential race. “Of course, Moore said, “there’s one candidate who isn’t even in the race yet. I don’t know if he will be. But he was right about the war before it began, and he’s right about global warming, and he’s right on this (health-care) issue, too.”

Does Gore deserve the kind of respect he’s been getting from the left, or is he more deserving of the contempt that Moore leveled at Wolf Blitzer?

Aside from being the victim of an electoral tragedy in 2000, Gore’s global-warming platform gives him instant credibility with the left. Should it? He’s supposed to have been talking about the environment for a long time (30 years, he has said), but has he been walking the walk? Will Al Gore, like his supporter Moore, attack when given the chance? The answer is no, he won’t. Eric Pooley’s homage to Gore in Time magazine, “The Last Temptation of Al Gore,” points out that it wasn’t until after the 2000 election disaster that Gore got back into the environment:

“It has been five years since Tipper first urged her husband to dust off his slideshow. The couple was still climbing from the wreckage of 2000, and she was convinced that his survival depended on reconnecting with his core beliefs. He assembled the earliest slide show in 1989, while writing Earth in the Balance — carrying an easel to a dinner party at David Brinkley’s house, standing on a chair to show CO2 emissions heading off the charts. She wanted him to find that passion again. They were living in Virginia, and the Kodak slides were gathering dust in the basement. So he pulled them out, arranged them in the carousel and gave his first show with the images mostly backward and upside down.”

So what happened to Gore’s “core beliefs” and “passion” when he was fucking right next to the sanctified bully pulpit in the White House? He went AWOL on climate change while he was vice president, and as much as tells why in a recent Associated Press article, “On Board the Acela Express.” The piece notes that “Gore, whose slideshow on global warming was the subject of the Academy Award-winning documentary ‘An Inconvenient Truth,’ said the presidency alone can’t necessarily bring about the changes he’s calling for.” The story quotes Gore: “I was in the White House for eight years, and I saw the limitations of even the power of the executive branch when the people and their elected representatives in the Congress were not ready to contemplate the big changes that are necessary.” So exactly what are those limitations, and what was Al Gore doing to overcome them? Did a corporate fat cat get your tongue, Al?

It should be noted that Gore is himself a corporate fat cat. He is currently a senior advisor at Google (and apparently owns a large chunk of its stock), is on the board of directors at Apple and is co-founder of an investment company called Generation Investment Management. The investment company has holdings in the Johnson & Johnson health insurer AFLAC and General Electric. And take a peek at the corporate sponsorship list for the Live Earth concerts if you want to see who Al hangs with in the corporate world.

Given the way some of the men (and even some women) in the media and elsewhere in our country treated Hillary in the primaries, one can only wonder how much longer it will take our society to be like the savages we see in this video where women are treated like dirt. Here’s another point. If Barack Obama could use his “nominee” influence to push a speech at Brandenburg Gate why didn’t he use a little “foreign policy creds” to try to prevent these executions?. It wouldn’t be the first time pressure from influential people have stopped these types of executions in countries where we don’t have armies.

Even his nemeses Jesse Jackson has intervened to save lives. At lease a little speech condemning it would have been better than casually continuing to carry out his playdate.

    OB’s internal civilian security program….

In Stage III progressive controlled disarmament and continuously developing principles and procedures of international law would proceed to a point where no state would have the military power to challenge the progressively strengthened U.N. Peace Force ….

    Freedom From War
    September 1961

When they first hear about the disarmament program our nation has been implementing for over 30 years, many Americans are incredulous that officials in the highest offices of our government would commit such a blatant act of treason. Yet, such a plan exists and is unfolding at an alarming pace. It calls for the United States to disarm itself and simultaneously build the military capability of the United Nations.

It all began in September 1961, when President Kennedy formally presented the official U.S. disarmament program described in State Department Publication 7277. Entitled Freedom From War: The United States Program for General and Complete Disarmament in a Peaceful World, the program calls for the nations of the world — including the U.S. — to disarm, turn over their military might to the UN, and make the world body an unchallengeable military power.

Disarmament enthusiasts have long called upon world leaders to scrap all weapons and eliminate the potential for war. But this program is not about the elimination of weapons, but about placing all military power in the hands of one global power.

For several decades, pro-UN propaganda has held that furnishing the world body with enough power to “enforce peace” would benefit mankind and forestall the possibility of future wars. But there are some crucial questions that few consider: If the UN should become all-powerful, who would be left to prevent it from establishing its own brand of tyranny? If the UN were powerful enough to enforce peace, would it not also be powerful enough to enforce the will of its leaders on all mankind?

America’s national sovereignty is directly threatened by this program, because, in effect, it cedes U.S, independence to the world body — in order, as most people have been led to believe, to prevent war. But the proper steps the U.S. should take to avoid war are to: 1) be strong enough to discourage attack; 2) stay out of the affairs of other nations; and 3) keep out of entangling alliances.

    The Kennedy Plan

On September 25, 1961, President Kennedy addressed the UN General Assembly, declaring: “The program to be presented to this Assembly for general and complete disarmament under effective international control … would achieve, under the eyes of an international disarmament organization, a steady reduction in force, both nuclear and conventional, until it has abolished all weapons except those needed for internal order and a new United Nations Peace Force.”

As unbelievable as it may seem, our national leaders have been implementing this very same treasonous disarmament program for the past three decades. The Nuclear Test Ban Treaty is part of it; the treaty banning America’s use of outer space for defense is part of it; the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty is also part of it.

Following JFK’s address at the UN, this program was rewritten in greater detail. Retitled Blueprint for the Peace Race: Outline of Basic Provisions of a Treaty on General and Complete Disarmament in a Peaceful World, it was presented by President Kennedy to an 18-nation disarmament conference in Geneva, Switzerland on April 18, 1962. The Blueprint didn’t cancel any portion of its predecessor document. As stated in its foreword, it merely “elaborates and extends the proposals of September 25, 1961.”

When questioned about the Blueprint, Arms Control and Disarmament Agency General Council A. Richard Richstein confirmed in a May 11, 1982 letter that “the United States has never formally withdrawn this proposal.”

When questioned by this author in late 1993 about the continuation of this disarmament program, Dr. William Nary, chief historian for the Arms Control and Disarmament Agency, confirmed: “The program has not been withdrawn and some of its steps have been implemented.”

    Rendering Nations Powerless

The Freedom From War program lists four overall disarmament “objectives,” the first of which reads:

The disbanding of all national armed forces and the prohibition of their reestablishment in any form whatsoever other than those required to preserve internal order and for contributions to a United Nations Peace Force.

This means no more U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, or Marine Corps controlled by this nation for the purpose of defending our vital interests. All of our fighting men would be conscripted into a global “Peace Force” — save for those who would be assigned to a national police force designed to maintain internal order.

The second objective of this incredible program is:

The elimination from national arsenals of all armaments, including weapons of mass destruction and the means for their delivery, other than those required for a United Nations Peace Force and for maintaining internal order.

Not only would nations be required to disband their defense forces, but they would also be forced to divest themselves of all armaments. The UN will take no chances that weapons — especially those of “mass destruction” — might fall into the hands of UN opponents.

Toward the end of this document, its text states: “The manufacture of armaments would be prohibited except for those agreed types and quantities to be used by the U.N. Peace Force and those required to maintain internal order.” This means disarmament of civilians as well — under international control. (More about UN designs to restrict private firearms ownership appears on page 23.) The United Nations wants no one to have the capability to defend his nation, himself, or his family from its designs.

The third objective addresses the need for compliance with UN-imposed obligations. It calls for:

The establishment and effective operation of an International Disarmament Organization within the framework of the United Nations to ensure compliance at all times with all disarmament obligations.

The UN doesn’t intend to take any chances. Therefore, this program calls for an “international” snooping agency empowered to “ensure compliance” with each of the above “obligations.”

Several existing UN creations have the potential of becoming exactly what this portion of the overall plan calls for — including the International Atomic Energy Agency, the UN Disarmament Commission, and the peacekeeping arm of the Military Staff Committee.

Whatever this supranational agency is called, it would, of necessity, operate with powers that supersede the laws and prerogatives of any government — including the government of this nation. It would assist the UN in the enforcement of the UN’s “international law.”

    UN-Defined “Peace”

The final objective of the 1961 plan calls for:

The institution of effective means for the enforcement of international agreements, for the settlement of disputes, and for the maintenance of peace in accordance with the principles of the United Nations.

The peace being maintained would be in accord with the principles of the United Nations. As to what those principles might include, a quick look at Chapter VII of the UN Charter reveals that the “peace” organization retains for itself the power to determine what might constitute: 1) a threat to peace; 2) a breach of peace; or 3) an act of aggression.

Whenever the UN decrees that “peace” is not being adhered to, it could then turn to Article 42 of the UN Charter to “take such action by air, sea, or land forces as may be necessary” to restore its idea of peace. Such a “peace” could be very costly in lives.

The UN is not interested in the kind of peace normal individuals seek and desire. Its very Charter empowers it to enforce and maintain its unimpeded global rule with military action.

Moreover, the UN has called for the very powers the U.S. has proposed for it. In 1978, the UN General Assembly adopted a Final Document that called for reducing national armed forces to a level “necessary to maintain internal order and protect the personal security of citizens and in order that States shall support and provide agreed manpower for a United Nations peace force.” That “peace force” would have sufficient clout to “effectively deter or suppress any threat or use of arms in violation of the purposes and principles of the United Nations.”

As noted earlier, the disarmament plan described in Freedom From War, and repeated in Blueprint for the Peace Race, continues as the official policy of the U.S. government. It is the clear intention of our leaders to implement every portion of this treasonous plan.

Years ago, a Dallas-based editorialist referred to the three stages of this subversive plan and concluded, “One, two, three, and America’s out!” This scheme must be exposed and our leaders must be stopped before it is fully implemented and U.S. sovereignty becomes a bitter memory.

      • hank48188

Obama embellished most of what he wrote in his books too. I read a blog from a person that worked with Obama at a NY financial newletter publisher. in his book Obama talks about meeting with foreign bond traders, checking his reflection in the elevator doors, briefcase in hand, sharp suit, imagining himself a captain of industry. It was ALL B.S, Obama never left the building to meet with anyone, NEVER wore a suit to work either. What was so funny about the blog was reading the comments from other readers because about 5 people that also worked with Obama left comments saying everything he wrote about working there was B.S. Obama is a legend in his own mind and lies about everything .

        • mahaska

I hope the bookstores have that piece of trash book in the fiction section.

      • csuzeq

Are tax payers paying for this crap? I certainly hope not, but I also don’t see how his campaign could afford this crap!

Why didn’t he just read books on Foreign Countries and save some cash? In Barfy’s world, that would qualify as Foreign Policy experience! One book would probably equal 2 years experience. If he read enough books, he might be able to claim more years of experience than he’s been a live, but hey that would just be a technicality.

Really, what is the attraction with this guy? I have never seen it!

Remember why GWB ran for president in 2000? Because the baseball commisioner position was taken. Obama’s brother-in-law coaches bball at Brown. I’m not sure but I think he played at Princeton. Don’t know if that was after his sis crafted her racial divide senior thesis there. Have heard Obama was a benchwarmer on the bball team at Occidental.I thought his coach said his problem always was he thought he was better than he was. So now on the zillions raised for him he gets to pretend he’s a bball player while folks back home work on staying afloat.Election day will tell if the American people have allowed themselves to be “played” again.

    • http://uppitywoman08.wordpress.com Uppity Woman

OB…..”We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.”"We are going to grow our foreign service, open consulates that have been shuttered and double the size of the Peace Corps by 2011 to renew our diplomacy,”"We cannot to continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we have set. We have got to have a civilian national security force that is just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded.”– Barack Obama July 2, 2008

      • candymarl

        that’s “guidelines in place”.

I agree that they should lay off Obama from this campaign. Midnight basketball was supposed to be an option for thugs with a propensity for commiting crimes. We are willing to let Obama play all of the basketball he wants from midnight through whenever to prevent the crimes he would commit as president. Wright’s home is probably big enough to have a basketball court inside — send Obama back to his mentor Wright and they can stay out of harms way by shooting basketballs all day.

    Breaking news:

Obama’s father Hussein senior is not his real father.

It is becoming clear that he is covering up the fact that he is an Arab and not black.

Exhume the body of the dead Hussein senior and take DNA tests to prove this before he moves any further in this process.

Investigate beyond any doubt that he, in fact was born a US citizen before any further time passes.

    I repeat, do this now.
My sources are pouring this out.

The officials need to now take this as a security risk as he has not proven his identity and he is now traveling abroad and is getting sensitive military information that he should not be entitled too.

His wife is connected to Iran as her close friend was born and raised in Iran and she has close ties to Iran and so we have yet another connection that compromises this country.

this kind of barbaric sh*t is why i am so disgusted with obama’s islamophile supporters. i guarantee you that they would find a million excuses as to why murdering these women “wasn’t really that bad.” these people are clueless america-haters/israel-haters who will excuse anything that is done by muslims. they seem to take some kind of perverse satisfaction in justifying the evils of other countries/cultures and mindlessly, reflexively bashing america. they are dangerous and i don’t want their cult leader anywhere near the white house.

    • http://uppitywoman08.wordpress.com Uppity Woman

We do need to remember there are many MANY peaceloving Muslims in America.

Our problem is some of thse middle eastern radical savages are here too. One just killed his daugher in Georgia a few weeks ago. Another “honor” killed his two daughters in texas. This may be “cultural” to those people, but in American it’s called MURDER and we shouldn’t dance around it. And this is what we must fight with every fiber of our being. I cannot for the life of me understand why the Muslim community here does not fight them themselves.

My point was, while Barry shoots hoops, this is not foreign policy experience. It’s a side show. And while he shoots hoops travesties occur around him while he chuckles. Notice they are not letting him make any speeches. Not hard to guess why.

This past week, in a group discussion on CSpan, Obama has Jeff Liebman speak in a debate with a campaign advisor.

Jeffrey B. Liebman Malcolm Wiener Professor of Public Policy John F. Kennedy School of Government Harvard University.

The guy says we have two choices in balancing the budget.

    Schools or infrastructure.

    We can’t fix both.

The bus to school or the roads and bridges they ride on, one or the other.

    • C.S.

Schools or infrastructure, eh. No mention of putting our tax money to be used for Obama’s private “security force” or reduction in military expansion (like getting out of Iraq and not invading other middle east countries) would alleviate the problem? Nothing about the mysterious “black holes” that litter the budget with secret projects that could totally finance both?

The end of the movie “Gone With the Wind” comes to mind. Frankly, dear Taxpayer, we just don’t give a damn; not about your schools and not about your bridges. We’ll think about that tomorrow….maybe.

I have to seriously question the mentality of millions of people in our society supporting Barack Obama who thought a PR move of him shooting basketball was appropriate when two women were being executed. This is not just stupid it shows a lack of compassion and is just plain inhumane.

People want to call us whiny, we should stop complaining. I wonder, at what point would our distractors think it is ok to voice concern and fight for what we belive in. To them nothing is too dishonest, underhanded, vulgar, threatening, violent, criminal, insulting, sexist and manipulative. A college education may get you a good job with a nice salary. But what good is it if you have lost your soul? I think there just must be an awful lot of people who don’t believe in God because if they did they wouldn’t be acting this way-as if there is no tomorrow, no repurcusssions or accountability for their actions. I believe alot of this is because we have become a society that has become so politically correct children have not been taught right from wrong. Shame on these parents.

I thought I would check into what the foreign press is saying about the O; as it seems our own press has a problem with getting actual “news”. I found this very interesting article from a British News/Blog
    From Telegraph.co.uk

US Election: Senior aide to Barack Obama says Obamamaniacs’ hopes unrealistic
    By Tim Shipman in Washington
    Last Updated: 10:59AM BST 20/07/2008
Barack Obama feels like he is carrying the hopes and dreams of people around the world on his shoulders –a burden his aides believe has created unrealistic expectations of what he can achieve if he becomes the first black president.
Greg Craig, one Mr Obama’s inner circle of foreign policy advisers travelling with him, described the scale of infatuation for Mr Obama in Europe, which has seen him compared to John F. Kennedy, as “amazing”.
But he added: “He is very conscious of it. He knows he has become a vehicle for peoples’ hopes and dreams and expectations and we all fear that such expectations tend to be unrealistic.”

Not that this image came from the public, I think we saw it’s creation from his own campaign, now it’s time to throw more supporters, under the bus

Also From a German Newspaper: Speigel

The Berlin speech, Obama campaign sources told SPIEGEL ONLINE on Tuesday, is intended as a far-reaching talk on trans-Atlantic relations. Obama has been criticized during his campaign for not showing enough interest in America’s European partners, an impression he would like to counter. At the same time, those sources said, he will likely take a tough line (more…), demanding more assistance from Europeans in hot spots around the world.
“Obama wants to signal to the Europeans that he will reach out much more to the trans-Atlantic partners than George W. Bush did. You will hear the words ‘I can listen’ frequently in his speech,” said the advisor.
    The message will also be

directed at voters back home because it will signal that America’s reputation in Europe would improve drastically under a President Obama, the advisor said. “TV pictures of 100,000 cheering people in Berlin can drive home that point.”

Because we are that stupid? A photo Op now = Policy? Sorry been there, done that.

    and….

Barack Obama will give his much talked about Berlin speech at the city’s monumental victory column, not at historic Brandenburg Gate. Berlin dailies Berliner Zeitung and Berliner Morgenpost both report that a stage will be set up at the victory column so that Brandenburg Gate will be visible in the background.

It is and always has been about image for the big O, and just how stupid politicians see us the voting public in the United States as; show them a pretty picture and it will win them over.

He is the ultimate FOB, or “friend of Bill,” and a consummate Washington insider. He would be among those you would expect to immediately support Senator Clinton. Having been their friend, lawyer and confidant for all this time, his early endorsement of Obama is astounding. And yes, Senator Obama is a powerful and charismatic candidate, but you can be sure there is more in play than just Craig being inspired by the good Senator from Illinois.

Did Karl Rove give Axelrod axis to his dossiers on DC operatives? They have amazing leverage, more than can be reasonably explained by incentives alone.

Iowa Independent Q&A: Barack Obama On The Trail
    by: Douglas Burns
    Dec 26, 2007 at 16:28 PM

Iowa Independent: You have a very diverse family. You’ve lived in Indonesia. You are a Christian who has lived in a Muslim country. Can you describe how that kind of foreign policy experience might be more valuable than maybe having had a glass wine on the Seine River in France.
Obama: I love Europe and obviously our relationship with the European Union going forward is going to be critically important. I had an opportunity to meet with now President Sarkozy of France when he came as the candidate here in the United States. I think I was one of two senators that he met with. I think that you’re seeing renewed vitaliy in Europe and it has a desire to flex it’s muscles a lot more in terms of foreign policy. But there a big world out there.

And I think that my familiarity with Asia and Africa, not just in an official capacity, but in a very intimate way, my knowledge of the Muslim world,

is part of the experience that informed my judgment when I opposed the war in Iraq.

    Quite the consummate liar.

    • hank48188

I remember Obama saying that his foreign policy credentials were better than the rest of the folks running for President because he actually lived overseas, from age 6 to 10. But the most interesting thing to me is when Fareed Zakaria asked Obama a week ago what he remembered most about living in Indonesia. Obama said “It was when my Mother told me she married a man from Indonesia and that we were moving there” It’s been 40 years since that happened but Obama remembers it like it was yesterday, really rocked his little world.

    • mahaska

Why would he love Europe. He’s never been there.

  • Linda C.

I really do believe that it will be a Hillary Clinton presidency that would be revolutionary based on her “life’s work”, not her political career.

Obama has no “life’s work” beyond his little stint as a community organizer as a stepping stone to bigger things. He has never, to my knowledge, ever put in place anything he has “learned” from his “community organizing”.

Cindy McCain has “life’s work” regarding children born with congenital defects. Even though Senator McCain supports these activities, his ideology will not permit him to do anything beyond the current limited scope of intervention.

I do not believe that either Obama or McCain will do anything more than the status quo regarding the plight of women internationally.

Many sit around and complain about “taxes” as the most pressing problem in this country as well as the world. Bush has spent us into the abyss. Whether we agree with that or not, we have to pay for it and the sooner the better.

    • slobodaneee

What life work are you referring to? A brief time at the children’s defense fund or her time working at the rose law firm? the bulk of her resume was the time in the white house (political). You can’t separate that out from her life’s work. her career was built around her husband’s political career. There is nothing wrong with that, but it isn’t something you should claim as qualifying you for office.

      • mahaska

As someone stated above, it is a powerful message.

The only thing is, what could the photographer have done against those men? They would have shot him too and we would never have had those pictures.
It’s a real dilemma when you think about it.

When the trolls post here it encourages me to fight even more for Hillary in Denver. It shows and reminds me of what they have done the past 6 months and what we are in for if Obama becomes nominee.

    So, thanks for the encouragement.

    • http://uppitywoman08.wordpress.com Uppity Woman

NObama, we have to ask ourselves, What was he doing there to begin with?

Maybe he could have done nothing, but amongst the “nothing” he could have done was NOT take photos to the glee of the taliban. This was Fear Propaganda, pure and simple. And this photographer helped make it happen. I wish him everything he deserves so long as it’s not good.

      • NOBama in August

Yes, I see what you are saying…that the photographer spurred the men on because he was taking pictures.

The taliban must have known the photographer was one of them otherwise they would never have let him be there.

But think, if he hadn’t been there, it would be a tree falling in the forest. As hideous as it is, it must be brought out. I wish I had never seen the pictures, but we have to know that this is going on.

    http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3570288,00.html

  • katmandu

Has anyone noticed that Obama keeps changing the date of eventual withdrawal?

In a speech in Washington on Wednesday, Obama said he would withdraw most US forces from Iraq within 16 months starting in January, 2009.

“We can safely redeploy our combat brigades at a pace that would remove them in 16 months. That would be the summer of 2010 — two years from now, and more than seven years after the war began,” he said.

Or the “end of 2009″ one that was on his website? Remember this from the Nevada debate?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcbqG_1EIbg

(In that one, by the way, he says the Iraqi minister talked about withdrawal in 2018 — so much for Maliki’s stable thinking)

    Or was it this one?

I am working on a piece that explains why the Gen Y generation worships Barack Obama. In fact, 80% of college students today score very high on Narcissism tests. They don’t see barack obama as a Narcissist. They see him as one of them because Narcissism is a good thing to them.

    • FormerD

Gen Y is an easy study. They falsely believe that life is a “drive-through”. If you want something, you just pull over and presto. Instant Gratification. This coupled with the lack of imaginative critical thinking makes them prone to simplistic views. I say this with out finding fault.
It is just the way it is.

They did not read books, they watched the DVD. They never took a broom and imagined it a pony, they mounted a video game.

Imaginative thinking was done for them.

little wonder then, that they believe they can achieve CHANGE, with no effort at all on thier part.

Boomers so loved thier children that they made life too good for thier children, and the result is they are very unprepared for the hardships our parents lived through. An economic depression, or a world war would leave todays youth poorly positioned to cope.

        Well, that seems very ominous!

I guess we can fix it so that no more narcissists are born.

No more children should be born in the US!

    Uppity, you wrote:

“Our problem is some of thse middle eastern radical savages are here too. One just killed his daugher in Georgia a few weeks ago. Another “honor” killed his two daughters in texas. This may be “cultural” to those people, but in American it’s called MURDER and we shouldn’t dance around it. And this is what we must fight with every fiber of our being. I cannot for the life of me understand why the Muslim community here does not fight them themselves.”

Perhaps because the U.S., like the rest of the world, is now full of the Wahabi-based mosques, funded by the radical Wahabi sect of Saudi Arabia, the extreme fundamentalist form of Islam which took control in Saudi Arabia at the same time the House of Saud took control of that country. The Saudi princes made a pact with the mullahs – let us keep the oil and you can do what you wish, which in this case is to fund mosques and madrassas throughout the world. It’s one of the reasons that today in the U.S., 25% of Muslims think that homicide (suicide) bombings are just fine. Everyone in the U.S. should understand that this brand of Islam considers westerners, Jews, and infidels as the “other” – we are dirt beneath their feet, and killing us in the name of Allah is totally justified.

  • Christy

I wonder how many baskets he missed before the press made it look like he only had to throw once to make it.

Will he acknowledge and address the innocent slaughter of women, or will he just do some “cute” photo ops.

  • Jay

“Quite a few of us suspect if you were really in Afghanistan fighting for America, you would be off in a corner in the fetal position, but we won’t get into that.”

Of course you won’t get into that, you have already proved that your writing skills are that of a retarded stroke victim – so we know that you lack the creativity needed to develop a smear about Obama that we haven’t heard before.

    • fif

Name something brave that Obama has done. One thing. And don’t talk about the supposed “speech” in a liberal Chicago suburb before the war. What has he done to put himself at risk, to sacrifice for something greater than his own glorification?

I highly recommend Kook Aid detox–what you consider smears are many documented facts about your faux leader. Empty suit, empty suit, empty suit, empty suit.

And if these “smears” are so offensive to your tender adolescent sensibilities, then by all means, leave.

What do ‘you people’ have against the developmentally disabled? You are constantly here calling people retards. Nice. And By the way, do ‘you people’ have a list of generic male names to switch around with.

Uppity, thanks for tackling this. It is unbearable that acts of violence against woman garner so little attention and outrage. Maybe if we were to replace the basketball in Obama’s hands with a severed head he would pay attention.

I don’t blame Obama for these women being executed, but it sure does put the horrors of misogyny in perspective. While he plays baskeball they execute two women for being “hos”, the same label Obama refused to condemn when Randi Rhodes used it to disparage Hillary and Ferraro. The same term he failed to denounce when he told Bernie Mac he was “just messin with you”. People wonder why women are outraged, why some of us have no sense of humor about such things. Well duh, in many places around the world being labeled a “ho” is a death sentance.

But don’t think this is confined to the ME, in the US we thankfully do not support the state sanctioned murder of “hos,” but we still have women’s bodies piled up from people like the Green River killer. He chose his victims because he knew they would not be missed. “Hos” have no value in society so you can murder 5, ten, 80 of them, before anyone bothers to notice. After all, they’re just “hos”.

In a historical and political context, calling a woman a “ho” is the same as saying they are worthy of murder, execution, maiming, death. It would be more amusing if we didn’t have so many dead women behind those words.

    • mahaska

That’s exactly what the green river killer said. they were just prostitutes. I don’t see what all the fuss is.

  • http://dontcallmesweetie.blogspot.com/ Blu

Wishing death on Obama, a suicide bomber and any innocent people that might be around is totally wrong!
I don’t want Obama in the Whitehouse nor do I want him killed.
My hope is that authorities in the Middle East notices a problem with Barack’s passport, checks his birth records, tells him he needs a visa to return to the United States and he is stuck in some US Embassy until next January when Hillary will straighten everything out by offering Obama honorary US citizenship.

  • csuzeq

Be careful what you say, BO wanted FISA so we couldn’t say anything bad about him. It has to be all love and sunshine and rainbows for the Great one or you’ll get hauled off to jail as a suspected terrorist.

  • Grail Guardian

Come on UCB – you’ve been here long enough to know that most of us don’t really share Bell’Arista’s wish, even if we occasionally get caught up in hyperbole. We’re against murder, which is why Obama is so scary to many of us. Given the broad powers Bush has unconstitutionally seized and Obama’s support of FISA with immunity, well who knows what will happen in this country if this puppet is elected and beholden to his Corporate and Arab money masters…

We’ve had real threats against us here at NQ, so it’s only reasonable that Clinton, Obama, McCain, and all the other candidates have all experienced death threats.

Thanks for caring, though. I’m sure Bell’Artista will sleep much better at night.

  • hank48188

I think I remember Keith Olbermann saying that someone should take Hillary in a room and only 1 person comes out, meaning not Hillary. Obama is an apostate though, he is lying when he said that he’s NEVER BEEN A MUSLIM. Obama did a interview more than a year ago with Nick Kristoff, Obama recited the evening prayers for Kristoff, in fact he was singing the prayers like a good Muslim would. Obama lived in Indonesia in his formative years, 6 to 10, his step-father was a Muslim and Obama embraced the faith. More Muslim in Indonesia than ANY OTHER COUNTRY.

  • C.S.

I agree that we don’t know all that will happen to our country if Obama is elected, but please don’t forget that the guy plans to create a national army to “secure” the nation without Constitutional authority to do so and he HAS supported the illegal wiretapping of We the People with one of his few decisive votes in the U. S. Senate. He may be a legislative blank slate but you have to be blind and ignorant not to know that he’s headed down the same road GWB took when he was appointed in 2000.

And, I am not as articulate as Thomas Paine, Ben Franklin, Patrick Henry, or Thomas Jefferson but I intend to use my vote and my voice to keep the People of this country from being fooled again because our lives and our country’s survival depend upon this next election.

We’re not only at the edge of a great climatic change, we’re also at the edge of another Great Depression in case you missed the FDIC (created after the bank failures of the 1930) rushing in to stop bank rollovers quicker than FEMA made it to New Orleans .

  • Fannie

what is your source for Obama creating National security force? Wasn’t he referring to the National Guard? thanks

  • http://uppitywoman08.wordpress.com Uppity Woman

No. He said we cannot rely on the military and need a “civilian” force.

    Joe McCarthy thought so too.

  • stateofdisbelief

Yeah Right. Here’s one of the kool-aid drinker’s Facebook groups. Mysogony and death threats abound. Despite several complaints registered by my daughter and me, it still remains up, including such memorable posts as:

“Can we just kill her….that will solve the problem won’t it?”

Yep…Obamabots have displayed a high level of decorum when dealing with Hillary Clinton.
