How Our Government Fixes Things

When I look at this image, I think about the Obama administration’s many attempts to make us all believe that everything broken will be put back into perfect condition , and I thank “Ms. Fix-It” for permission to use her photos to interpret in my own way.
Here are some more:

#2. This (above) is the Stimulus Package. Maybe it avoided something worse in the short run (while lining the pockets of those who got us into this mess and not creating many jobs), but it’s not sturdy. It could still come crashing down again on the rest of us.

#3. This (above) looks a lot like Afghanistan to me. A questionable solution to a perplexing problem.

#4. This (above) is the current mish-mash versions of the Health Care Reform Bills, with us sitting up there praying to God that we never get sick.

#5. Oh boy, here you and I are (the umbrella, above) forced to keep corrupt financial corporations from getting wet. Of course, we all get soaked.

#6. Here we all are (above) again, this time trying to protect ourselves as best we can with what we now have to work with.

#7. (above) Here’s to all those promised fixes that didn’t quite happen yet.

#8. (above) I see Iraq here—The USA is the stool just stuck there and can’t figure how to gracefully get out.

#9. I see you and me again here (above)—trying to do whatever it takes in this broken system to keep the water (read: necessities of life) dribbling.

#10. Finally, us all being screwed—too many were led to believe that the new administration and Congress were going to bake us a cake! Suprise!
