Palestine: Terrorists to Serve As Obama’s Bodyguards

As part of his tour, Obama will meet with leaders of the Palestinian authority in the West Bank. World Net Daily reports that Palestinian security officials have called upon Fatah’s military wing — the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade — to help provide protection for the presidential candidate.

Al Aqsa is listed as a terrorist organization by the State Department.
They are closely aligned with Fatah. The group has also been designated a terrorist group by Isreal, Canada, the European Union, and Japan.

Security officials say Brigade members will help secure the perimeter during a scheduled meeting with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.

Does anyone in Obama’s camp do ANY type of checking????
Update:
Upon looking into this group I found some disturbing facts:

They frequently use women as suicide bombers!

    WALKING EAGLE

BARACK OBAMA was invited to address a major gathering of the American Indian Nation two weeks ago in upstate New York

HE spoke for almost an hour on HIS future plans for increasing every Native American’s present standard of living, should HE one day become the President. HE referred to his career as a Senator, how he had signed ‘YES’ for every Indian issue that came to his desk for approval. Although the Senator was vague on the details of his plan, he seemed most enthusiastic about his future ideas for helping his ‘red sisters and brothers’.

At the conclusion of his speech, the Tribes presented the Senator with a plaque inscribed with his new Indian name – Walking Eagle. The proud Senator then departed in his motorcade, waving to the crowds.

A news reporter later inquired to the group of chiefs of how they came to select the new name given to the Senator. They explained that Walking Eagle is the name given to a bird so full of shit it can no longer fly.

Does Obama want McCain to win this badly? Rove would be out of a job in this election because Obama is writing the script for the “attack ad” for them.

Wonder what the Israelis will think of that? More from the fantastic team of 300 foreign policy advisers…the same ones who set up the Nazi location for Berlin speech…or will they change it now that they have been informed?

Of course, maybe Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade volunteered to protect one of their own.

Please God, let MEchille (foot in the mouth cause it runs in the family)Obama join him in Europe. What a pair!

You know at this point — nothing that Obama does is a surprise. He is a Narcissistic idiot — and nothing is too big or too STUPID for this jerk.

It’s amazing the fools that have fallen for this Walking Eagle BS. I think that story was originally about bush — but hell it works for snObama as well. I’m expecting him to start telling stories of his days on the reservation. . . .

Obama is a wannabe black guy — but he will never be completely black — as in American black. He will forever be caught between what he idealizes/fantasizes his life should have been and that fact that culturally he is a white guy. A privileged white guy who went to a private high school in Hawaii.

And right now snObama is terrorizing us middle of the road Americans. He has no idea who we are (he’s thrown us all under the bus) — and we have no idea who the hell he is.

According to the World Net Daily:

“Al Aqsa Brigades members doubling as PA security officers previously participated in security for other visiting U.S. officials without incident.”

This doesn’t appear to be an Obama camp screw-up but another example of U.S. foreign policy that will use organizations listed as terrorists by the State Dept. when it suits them.

Al Aqsa provided security for Bush:

“According to Israeli security officials, over 6,000 Fatah forces will be deployed in three rings in central Ramallah to secure the area during Bush’s brief stay, including Palestinian security officers who also serve in the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades. ”

Two senior Obama advisers came to the rear of the press plane to brief
reporters — on background, meaning no quote attributable to anyone –
about Obama’s one-on-one with King Abdullah and the subsequent dinner.
The press corps rebelled, demanding an on-the-record briefing since
Obama is in the middle of a presidential campaign and that campaign must
be held accountable for what it does and what Obama says about his
meeting with world leaders. . .

Hear me LOUD AND CLEAR: they are trying to take over.

I repeat: they are trying to take over, not only the USA but the world.

    SUNNI IS DANGEROUS

THIS IS ALL TRUE. I knew he was sunni and the dc intern who is jordanian and HARD CORE SUNNI told me all about it.

WE MUST STOP OBAMA if we enjoy anything about our freedom. ESPECIALLY us women.

Otherwise we will be eating w/ our hands, beat, raped and forced to marry cousins despite an outward appearance of modernity.

WE MUST do everything together as a team to defeat this cancer to our planet

Still, not great PR with the Israelis especially since they just received the bodies of their soldiers back this week from the lop-sided exchange…giving back the terrorist and all…

And please let’s not pretend that it couldn’t have been organized otherwise. This is a go along to get along with the Palestinians. Again, let’s see how it plays with main stream Israelis…not just the right wing radicals. I don’t think they are going to like the way he operates.

  • Bell’Artista

o is a dangerous, power hungry thug,
I have a hard time believing that meeting in private with Prince Abdullah and being surrounded by would be suicide bombers or at least those who protect and give safe harbor to same is fine and dandy with the State Department.
He needs to be recalled and the Super Delegates need to walk away en masse from this skanky flim flam man.

According to this article: “The Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades is responsible for scores of suicide bombings, deadly shootings and rocket attacks. It is listed by the State Department as a terrorist organization even though U.S. policy considers the Fatah party to be “moderate.” ”

This is interesting, in March the U.S. announced it would transfer $150 million to PA President Abbas’ government. Days after that announcement, PA’s Prime Minister Fayyad told the Al Aqsa Martyrs (which is the military wing of Abbas’ Fatah party) that they would receive cash grants. It seems the Al Aqsa leadership were having problems paying rent on their apartments. The article says it’s estimated that Prime Minister promised $350k in grants to Al Aqsa.

    http://infidelsarecool.com/2008/03/24/al-aqsa-terrorists-get-raise-immediately-after-bush-transfers-150-million-to-abbas/

It appears that even when Al Aqsa isn’t occupied with flip flopping between fighting and joining with Hamas, they’re busy with suicide bombers in Israel, because their purpose is non-islamist/pro-Palestinian nationalism and connected to the moderate Fatah party, the U.S. ignores they’re considered a terrorist organization by the State Dept., Japan, EU, Canada and Israel when they need security for protecting U.S. officials in PA.

And to wrap this all up in a pretty package, in May, 2006 “while Abbas conferred with Russian strongman Vladimir Putin, the Brigades issued a warning that “[w]e won’t remain idle in the face of the siege imposed on the Palestinian people by Israel, the U.S. and other countries[.]…We will strike at the economic and civilian interests of these countries, here and abroad.”

    http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=NjU2N2Q5NzJiYjRlOTA0MjNjOTc0NGU5OTY2NTdmYmQ=

I’ll give Senator Obama a pass on this one. It appears that this year the Al Asqa Martyrs are the recommended security force in PA for state visits and our tax dollars are paying their rent, even though two years ago they threatened the US.

Let’s do an unscientific opinion poll-
” Has the Obama World Tour caused you or anyone you know to take a second look at Obama in a favorable light?”
My guess is the answer is NO. Nobama’s negatives are based on significant concerns. Questions of ethics, values, principals. No photo op or speech in a famous location can change that. All he is doing is cementing his followers. Contrast that to Hillary- where voter’s concerns were more superficial, ones she could and did overcome. Look at McCain, sh!t! undeciders are basically saying “give me a reason to vote for you!”. If his campaign gets their act together, he could do that. Obama?- No. He could ride thru the ocuntry on a golden unicorn that poops flowers, tossing out candy and coins and he will not move his negatives.

    Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade for Dummies:

In October 2005, Palestinian Prime Minister Ahmed Qureia announced a plan to begin disarming the brigade by setting up training camps and incorporating its members into the Palestinian security forces.

In July 2007, the Israeli government and the Palestinian Authority reached an agreement that included amnesty for 178 brigade members on the condition that they end all anti-Israeli attacks and join forces in the battle against Hamas in Gaza. Not all of the released members complied. Despite some progress on the deal, the Palestinian Authority requested that additional prisoners be released from Israeli prisons, but the Israeli government has been reluctant to comply.

Israel Fears Scathing US Report On Its West Bank Policies

by Amos Harel and Avi Issacharoff

The United States security coordinator for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, retired general James Jones, is preparing an extremely critical report of Israel’s policies in the territories and its attitude toward the Palestinian Authority’s security services.

    http://www.commondreams.org/archive/2008/07/22/10519/print/

It’s Called Apartheid and it creates more terrorists every day:

    Roadblocks Cripple West Bank Economy
    Mel Frykberg

HEBRON, West Bank, Jul 22 (IPS) – The Israeli military has erected three additional roadblocks, further blocking vehicular access on the road between the south Hebron village of At-Tuwani and the commercial hub of Yatta in the southern West Bank.

The West Bank is the Palestinian area west of the Jordan river, much of it under Israeli control.

Besides being the main economic hub for the region, Yatta is also the principal provider of critical services such as hospitals, secondary schools and public administration offices.

Yatta is a town of just under 45,000 people situated 8km south of Hebron, which is 30km south of Jerusalem in the southern West Bank.

Several communities in the South Hebron Hills continue to be cut off from basic supplies. This is particularly problematic as the road is the main artery for the supply of water to these areas which are currently experiencing a severe drought.

According to Palestinian residents of the area, roadblocks have doubled the commercial price of water. A UN worker reported that roadblocks here will increase the cost of transporting essential water aid by 30 percent.

These are amongst a number of new roadblocks and checkpoints that have been erected in the West Bank despite promises by the Israeli government to ease access and travel restrictions on Palestinians in the occupied territory.

The World Bank released a report earlier in the year stating that Israel’s closure system was a leading cause for the Palestinians’ economic woes and that if there was no ease on these restrictions the Palestinian economy would continue to rapidly decline despite the 7.4 billion dollars in aid pledged at the international donors conference in Paris at the beginning of the year.

The Israeli Justice Ministry responded to the World Bank report claiming that, “on occasion, access to certain roads is restricted in the face of a real security threat. However, as soon as such a threat no longer exists, such restrictions are lifted.”

But Israeli human rights organisation B’Tselem accused the ministry of skewing the facts.

“In reality, over 300 kilometres of roads in the West Bank are either partially or completely restricted from the use of Palestinians, on a permanent basis, regardless of any specific threat,” it says.

In addition to the damage that these restrictions cause to the economy, they have also affected the ability of Palestinians to receive medical treatment as ambulances have often been delayed for hours at checkpoints or been forced to turn back even with critically ill patients. Women have been forced to give birth at checkpoints while other patients have died at the roadblocks.

Dr Bassen Abu Mahdi, medical director of primary healthcare for the Salfit district in the northern West Bank, told IPS that patients awaiting emergency medical treatment at Salfit Hospital were being delayed for hours at the three big checkpoints in the district.

“Another problem facing motorists and pedestrians trying to cross the checkpoints is the threat of being accidentally shot at night by nervous Israeli soldiers,” said Abu Mahdi. “This has happened before. To avoid this problem people delay seeking urgent treatment during the night and postpone it until morning, when time is of the essence.”

The Israelis claim that these roadblocks and restrictions are necessary for their security but critics argue that they constitute collective punishment on the Palestinian population, and are aimed primarily at protecting Israeli settlers and settlements in the Palestinian territories.

“This is destroying the livelihoods of Palestinians, the economy, agriculture, education and health situation,” says Saeb Erekat, the chief Palestinian peace negotiator.

An annual report in January of this year to the UN human rights committee by the former special rapporteur for the Palestinian territories, John Dugard, stated that a picture was emerging of a West Bank divided into three areas — north, central and south.

This has limited the ability of Palestinians to move freely around the West Bank for social, medical, business or educational purposes, as the West Bank is now practically divided into three cantons. The Nablus district in the north of the West Bank is for example practically encircled by the Israeli army, and only those with the necessary documentation can exit and enter the city.

“Movement is easier inside these areas, but travel between them is hampered by a combination of checkpoints and other physical obstacles,” the report said.

It said the roadblocks had helped create a system of roads limited to Israeli use, while funnelling Palestinian motorists onto alternative routes where movement is restricted.

“The new physical obstacles have further limited access to land, markets, services and social relations,” added the report.

The report also cited a new Israeli permit system limiting Palestinian access to the West Bank’s Jordan Valley, where many farmers own land. Farmers are struggling to reach their fields and ship their produce to markets, while rural communities have been isolated from cities because of the travel difficulties.

In April Israeli Defence Minister Ehud Barak told U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice that Israel had removed 61 of the more than 500 roadblocks and checkpoints in the West Bank “to make life easier for the Palestinians.”

This followed promises made by Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert at the Annapolis, Maryland, peace talks towards the end of last year, to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas that the number of roadblocks in the West Bank would be significantly reduced.

However, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported in May that the number of West Bank closure obstacles had risen from 566 to 607 from September last year to the end of April this year.

According to OCHA, six of the roadblocks on Barak’s list of 61 were left in place. Another 11 simply never existed. A close examination of the 44 roadblocks which existed and were removed revealed that most of them had no implications whatsoever for Palestinians’ freedom of movement. Only five of these 44 obstacles were classified by the UN as “significant” for Palestinians living in the area.

OCHA further explained that some of the checkpoints had been abandoned years ago. Others had been erected by Israeli Defence Forces that day, only to be removed later the same day while still counted in the tally of checkpoints allegedly removed.

According to the humanitarian organisation some of the roadblocks removed were situated in the middle of fields and therefore had little impact on movement and access. (END/2008)

Gaza on Brink of Humanitarian Catastrophe

    by Bill Dienst

This August, a group of 40 international human rights activists from 15 countries, including Palestinians and Israelis, will attempt to sail directly from the island of Cyprus into the besieged Palestinian territory of Gaza. I will participate as the ship’s doctor. Two ships, provided by an organization called the Free Gaza Movement, will challenge Israel’s policy of imprisoning 1.4 million Palestinians within the Gaza Strip.

Gaza stands on the brink of humanitarian catastrophe, with its population confined in a crowded area to which land, sea and air entry are all controlled by the Israeli military. Israel claims Gaza is no longer occupied, yet it denies the vast majority of the population access to jobs, travel, visitors, commerce, education, medical care and basic necessities.

Since last fall, in a form of collective punishment of Gaza’s entire civilian population, Israel has tightened the screws on the territory by restricting the importation of food, fuel and medicine. This cutoff has resulted in a desperate situation, as Gazans are unable to pump water, run hospital equipment or even process sewage, which is now being dumped into the Mediterranean by the millions of gallons.

In my work as a physician, I have visited Gaza numerous times since 1985, collaborating with local health care organizations. My colleagues in Gaza report current conditions are extremely dangerous to the physical and mental health of most of the population, especially children.

The Israeli government also abuses the civilian population of Gaza in much more violent ways than through the slow misery of siege. I witnessed one example of such treatment two years ago in the town of Beit Hanoun, when a weeklong incursion by the Israeli army resulted in the deaths of more than 85 people. More than 300 were seriously wounded. I subsequently visited the graves of 16 members of the Al Athamna family, who had all been buried hastily in the sand in the foreboding presence of Israeli tanks.

The desperate situation in Gaza is not a natural disaster, such as a hurricane or an earthquake. This disaster is man-made, born of Israel’s desire to make Gazans as miserable, and therefore submissive, as possible. The rest of the world does not have to ignore this situation, but many of those who have used the phrase “never again,” fall silent when a new atrocity against Palestinians is under way.

I have to say: Agreed. I really don’t give a *** what Israel thinks. They think anyone who considers Palestinians human beings is a “terrorist.” And we go along all too willingly with it. The ONE and only thing BO does that I agree with is he ocasionally dares to question our horrific and apparently endless support of Israeli genocide.

A Most Important Call to PUMA Action: Let Hillary Know
    22-Jul-08

    PUMAs,

All roads are beginning to lead back to Hillary.

It is looking more and more like it is -she- who will ultimately have the power to allow her name to be placed into nomination.

Hillary is now reaching out to us, asking us what issues matter the most to each of us:

    http://www.hillpac.com/action/issues/?sc=2498&utm_source=2498&utm_medium=e

This is how -I- chose to respond:

“What is the issue that matters to -me- the most? That you, Hillary, be the 44th President of the United States… from 2009-2017. Please, Senator Clinton, allow your name to be placed into nomination… for the 18,000,000 of us who gave you our vote and our voice.

    Thank you, Respectfully, Will Bower”

It is now time that *every* PUMA voice be heard by Hillary. We must *all* reach out to her… with our heads, our hearts, and our experiences. She needs to know that we are here… and *why* we are here.

There will be many more Calls to Action in the days to come: Delegate Outreach. PUMA Gatherings Nationwide. The Pre-Convention PUMA Conference. All of these are -very- important… but all of them are secondary to letting Hillary know that we still want — and need — her to be our next President.

    http://www.hillpac.com/action/issues/?sc=2498&utm_source=2498&utm_medium=e

But, the more it fits, the funnier it is. Kind of like the New Yorker Cover cartoon.

“Is Axelrod paying you to post asinine shit like that?”

Haha, are you kidding? Tish is one of the most hardcore PUMA’s on here! Embrace as your own.

  • Dave

Haha the best is when there are front page posts with things like “Hannity says [insert insane talking point here]” or “Just on Fox News…”

    But these are Democrats…riiiight.

  • Five Thirty

“Two senior Obama advisers came to the rear of the press plane to brief reporters — on background, meaning no quote attributable to anyone –”

I think that *this* is the story of the day. Incredible!

  • http://nobho.blogspot.com/ Johnny at Work

I remember too and it is a ligitimate comparison.

Maybe on his return Ibaa can ditch the Secret Service and get the Bloods, Crips, and Nation of Islam to provide his security stateside.

    “They don’t start SHIT”

Are you a joke? The Hells Angels don’t start trouble? Marty Balin of Jefferson Airplane was knocked unconscious following an altercation with an Angel. The Grateful Dead refused to play following the Balin incident, and left.

on April 27, 2002, at the Harrah’s Casino & Hotel in Laughlin, Nevada. Members of the Hells Angels and the Mongols motorcycle clubs fought each other on the casino floor; as a result, Mongol Anthony Barrera, 43, was stabbed to death, and two Hells Angels, Jeramie Bell, 27, and Robert Tumelty, 50, were shot to death. On February 23, 2007 Hells Angel members James Hannigan and Rodney Cox were sentenced to two years in prison. Cox and Hannigan were captured on videotape confronting Mongols members inside the casino. A Hells Angel member can be clearly seen on the casino security videotape performing a front kick on a Mongol biker member, causing the ensuing melee.

Both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Criminal Intelligence Service Canada classify the Angels as one of the “big four” outlaw motorcycle gangs, contending that members carry out widespread violence, drug dealing, trafficking in stolen goods, and extortion.

None of you felons can vote anyway, so why don’t you just ride off.

If you are here looking to market some intoxicants, you are on the wrong site. You need to go the OBAMA NATION. The Obots are calling.

To think that you can be truly informed by just one source of news is naive.

There is usually an angle to the story a left/right leaning establishment doesn’t want revealed. So reading more sources of news usually reveals more details. That is common sense. When they argee on something is also interesting.

It is obvious why Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades are chosen as the best escort, but more interesting that the MSM has chosen not to reveal this to the masses.

It seems the MSM were right. Here you are one of the masses upset over the details and where they were accessed.

If Bush and Obama are both utilizing their services it is because it would be dangerous not to. That is still interesting information especially since we pay their rent and apparently trained some of them.

Who knows there might be double agents in their midst.

interesting…another commenter just said that “all” of the obamabots use first names only. I think you and goock may have swapped somewhere accidentally…unless (and I apologize in advance)…goock is your first name and Dan is not.

  • http://nobho.blogspot.com/ Johnny at Work

Maybe when we start hearing the Palestanians and other Muslims speak, and act out against their own terrorists and bombers will we think they “just want the chance to live lives of peace and dignity.”

Maybe when the Muslims start jailing their own terrorists will they be taken seriously about their desire “to live lives of peace and dignity.”

Only simpletons and bleeding hearts swallow that crap. That’s why Obama appeals to you.

  • DancingOpossum

Johnny at Work, you’ve posted many racial smears on here (in fact more than one poster has asked you to be banned for it) so I’m not surprised at your comments.

But at least get your facts straight. Anyone who’s a regular poster here knows how firmly Obama does NOT appeal to me and how firmly committed I am to not voting for him. That he has decent attitudes about ONE important issue doesn’t change that.

  • SaraInPA

If Obama is the “one we’ve been waiting for”, well, I think we need to raise our standards.

In my opinion the death of the flower power era came with the Weathermen and their antics.

They slandered and destroyed the peaceful anti-war movement with their Days of Rage and other bs.

Altamont was in Dec 69….the Weathermen had been busy stirring things up for while by then. It is interesting that most docs which point to Altamont ignore their contributions or breeze over them.

However, I do understand the reference about being careful about which fox is guarding the chickens.

The Rolling Stones didn’t plan the concert properly were fools to hire the Hell’s Angels for security. They believed the counterculture mythology about the Angels and ignored their actions.

  • RealDemocrat

I’ve never seen so many Republicans posing as Democrats before.

You can tell by the links to FoxNews.

No real democrat is able to stomach that claptrap for long enough to be able to identify it.

No real democrat would trust a FoxNews link anyway.

You people are hell bent on destroying America.

Of course Obama is not liberal enough, but neither was Clinton.

I voted for him the first time around, then I voted for Nader the second time after Old Bill voted for NAFTA.

Obama is not the best candidate, but he won the nomination fair and square.

And he is a hell of a lot better than McCain.

  • http://investigatebarackobama.wordpress.com/puma/ kat in your hat

    OMG!!!!

Why isn’t this in the media, and why isn’t our own current government speaking out about this? Incredible.

  • Karma

If you really voted for Nadar over Clinton due to NAFTA, then there is no way you could vote for the corporate whore Obama now. Nor would you support a candidate that repeatedly subverts democracy in order to win. Those sorts of dirty tricks ruin the chance of a candidate such Nadar to pose a significant threat to the two party system.

See how that works both ways?

One link to Greta on Fox News, who isn’t exactly the raging Republican, doesn’t prove anything about the demographics here. You are being lied to by the likes of Dean and Brazile to justify not listening to the real probelms with the selected one.

Anyway, Democrats have long watched Fox News the stats have bore that out for quite some time. Being nauseated by the love fest over Obama and sexist bashing of Hillary, I went to FoxNews for some balanced bashing. That is understandable to people who actually pay attention to the MSM trends and don’t want the media to force another Bush on America. MSNBC didn’t do their due diligence with Bush in the 2000 campaign or during the run up to the war, but lalalalala never mind that, they like Obama now.

Anyway, it is interesting that there is more left leaning links in the thread you chose to bash for Fox links.

sfgate, commondreams.org, hillpac, washpost (busted nixon).

Only naive fools get their news from one source or one side of the aisle especially when the corporate whores are on both sides.

Oh boy. An open letter to Obama from an Israeli:

“We know who you are and who your friends are.

Barack Obama, why don’t you just go home?

Zigzagging back and forth about dividing or un-dividing Jerusalem won’t clear your history.

Don’t use us or our land as a photo-op.”

Obama has nothing to fear from his friends in Palestine. The security force is just for show.

Shame on you Larry Johnson — for allowing all this ignorance.

For years, the PLO helped keep the US Embassy in Beirut safe.

After the PLO were expelled in 1982, no new security arrangements were made but the Embassy was re-opened.

In 1983, the first suicide car bomb exploded outside the completely vulnerable Embassy — killing many US diplomats, military officers, local Embassy employees and innocent Lebanese citizens.

The PLO were keeping us safe.

And Larry Johnson knows all about it.

This site is pathetic, insane and irrational.

And Larry Johnson has lost, not only his moral compass but his international security credentials.

What happened, Larry? What the hell happened?
