Bullshit. They’re three minutes long. No one ever airs commercials like that (Doubt even Obama could afford to run many of them), so only a revised commercial would ever make it. But I REFUSE to spend a dime on print journalism. I watch my local cable station for one news cycle and for weather. And I tune in for “Breaking News.”

I haven’t watched AC 360 in months. Ditto Blitzer’s Situation Room. McCafferty makes me ill. MSNBC= Porn Network. They are v-chipped. They don’t exist. I was tuning into This Week w/Geo Stephanopolous, but 3 weeks ago I stopped because he insists on having Donna Brazile on. I don’t want to hear a thing that vile woman has to say. I still try to catch the McGlauglin Group because I know he despises Obama even though he has to contain it. I also like listening to what Buchanan has to say. I discovered back when Buchanan was running for President in 2000 that he is a pretty smart guy who knows what he’s talking about. No. I don’t agree with a lot of his point of view, but that doesn’t invalidate his factual knowledge.

I also am updated by sites like this one. I appreciate the fact that the bloggers, in particular, do have to pay attention so that they can blog on what’s going on. But since that’s not the case with me, I’m girlcotting the scumbags. I want to see their ad revenues go in the toilet since they are so bound and determined to pick our President. I take great pleasure in the fact that I no longer watch the nightly network news. I used to be a regular of World News Tonight for years. The network news has struggled over the years and they know that the audience of young people simply don’t watch them. Drudge used to get numerous clicks from me each day over the last 5 years. I only started the HuffPo last summer, but by Dec, I was horrified at what was going on there. She was history by Super Tuesday.

The media has no credibility. They are NOT reporting the news and I realize now that they haven’t been for a long time. When they caved into Bush’s demand about not showing the coffins, I should have realized that the end of real journalism had happened.

Having GUTS used to be part of the American persona. Obama is cultivating thuggery. Supporters who try to win through intimidation and cheap dirty tricks. Hopefully, there are enough of us with the guts to make sure when we go into the voting booth in Nov, that this man does not win.

Sadly, I think they are going to cheat. But they won’t get my vote. I know a lot of people are having trouble accepting the fact that McCain is the only viable choice we are left with, but that is reality. Better to concentrate on defeating Obama. That’s what I’m doing. There is NO WAY I’m going to let him and the DNC get away with what they did. And if that means McCain, so be it.

Yeah well Wexler has a problem. It seems he doesn’t live in Florida at all. His Florida “address” is his mother in law’s senior community home. Kids aren’t allowed there for longer than two months out of the year and only two kids at that. Wexler has three. Wexler lives in Maryland. While I am delighted to see this powerful ad, I also see a potential danger for liberals if this gets morphed into “proof” of a liberal bias in the media. Although it is a ridiculous interpretation because the clips are from the primary campaign against Hillary, most of the public will not notice and the media is not likely to point it out.
We need to speak up when this happens (I have already seen some talk of how this shows the media’s liberal bias) by pointing out that not only was the media biased against Hillary, they completely trashed Gore and played the biggest role in his defeat. There is no way that Bush would have won if the media had done a balanced job and reported on things like Bush’s bankruptcies, AWOL status, insider trading, etc. and not lied about Gore. Had the public known, for example, that Gore was a major force in the creation of the internet rather than being told (falsely)that he had claimed to have “invented” the internet and not been made to think that he lied about everything, Gore would be president today. The media despised Gore for being smarter than them and for not being macho and fun like Bush. They swooned over the pro athlete Bradley in the primaries then did the same with Bush. Clearly the problem is not a liberal bias, it is that they are a bunch of immature people stuck in a high school mentality and trying to get in good with the cool kid.

I think the biggest problem our country has is the pathetic performance of our media. If they had done their job we would not be in this mess. (Like reporting truthfully on WMD or telling people that tax cuts do not pay for themselves or that deregulation has caused numerous disasters.)But the problem will never be fixed until the public understands what is behind it. The “liberal media” charge only serves to empower conservative media like Fox, talk radio, etc. which makes the problem even worse. That is why we need to speak out on this issue.

I was wathcing Aderson Cooper last night because I was waiting on an update for Hurricane Dolly because I have family in Brownsville and I kept waiting. It took almost half of his hour to even start talking about the Hurricane. He was to busy talking about McCain’s Gaffe, and praising Obamidiot.Give me a break I used to have respect fo this guy Anderson but he makes me sick.

The list began in the comments section at Savage Politics months ago. The owner of tha blog encouraged him to do an annotated longer list, which eventually appeared as a full blog sometime in April or maybe March if you go to http://savagepolitics.com it’s listed on the their top page to the right. It should have the date.

Like everything else on the Net, it went viral and as often happens, the source becomes forgotten. I mention it only because I was posting regularly on that blog at the time and saw how it all began. Savage Politics has great daily articles and is worth a visit to read. I recommend looking over the archives because JC Cifre did some really informative blogs during the Primary Season.

Unfortunately, on the weekends they usually include Rev. Manning in their humorous weekend videos. I think Manning is a nutjob and a self-hating black man and as an AA I cannot support his comments. I despise Obama, but my reasons are founded in the belief that he is corrupt, inexperience, unqualified and psycholigically conflicted due to his his biraciality, his upbringing and abandonment by his father. He seriously has issues.

But that’s my opinion about Manning, I read savage politics each day and occasionally post. But I am happier here at no quarter in that Larry and Susan do recognize that it’s not in their best interests to align with some anti-Obama factions. Manning has no credibility. He has made slanderous charges about local black politicians in NYC which he cannot back up. He’s also been trying organize some sort of boycott of black owned stores here in NYC for what reason I have no idea.

Sure, some of his anti-Obama comments are appealing to us who despise Obama. And like the perverbial broken clock, he is right twice a day. But I prefer to keep my distance from him. He has no credibility.

I think we have an awful lot of pitiful people who are having a mid life crisis and want to get on the “cool and hip” bandwagon.

I’m so disgusted by the media and the hype. Will they even be embarrassed by a video like this or by any of their behavior? They are not even journalists–overpaid talking heads.

Another media venue that lost me…C-Span! All three phones lines were used by “bots” and they did nothing until the last primaries. They ran “O” speeches almost round robin especially on week-ends. After the primaries, I cancelled cable and parked my tv in the the back storage room. I’ve had it with tv and all the crap. I get everything from radio and internet now. It’s quite liberating!

Thank you for that post educatedwhitewoman. I read it in a comment yesterday (by Libertybelle I think) and was impressed and commented on it then. I am not a psychologist, but I was wondering if you, as a psychologist would agree that many lay people who are very sensitive to this personality would pick up on it and be adverse to Obama. Especially people with first hand experience dealing with someone who shares these traits. I’ve read several comments on this site from people who shared this feeling. Many may not be able to pinpoint it to this disorder but express a general feeling of uncomfortableness or anxiety about him. To borrow a quote from Donna Brazille, my mother taught me to trust my instincts.

What is your problem? Of course McCain’s pride is wounded as well it should be. He used to occupy the place Obama is in now – the idol of the credulous, unquestioning press, who belly laughed at his “hilarious” stories about graduating at the bottom of his class at Annapolis and running around with strippers..the same press that during the 8 years of the Clinton presidency suggested that Clinton had “no class” and was a hick from the sticks despite his education at Georgetown, Oxford and Yale. The point is that Tucker is right – the press’s treatment of Obama is exactly like a teenage crush. They should all be fired for this egregious behavior, whether they show overt love for one candidate or obvious hatred for another.

I agree entirely. I can’t believe that there aren’t *real* journalists somewhere that are OUTRAGED at their profession. Lou Dobbs is the only one I’vd heard express any kind of outrage at his fellow journalists. It’s amazing to me that it’s so widespread–tv, print, radio–NPR is disgusting in their pro-Obama love fest.
