False Charges of Racism

To the NAACP, African American Elected Officials, Move On, & Color of Change Org, African American Delegates & Super Delegates

A Question

Remember Fannie Lou Hamer?

Who in 1964 addressed the 1964 Democratic National Convention in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Who lost her job as a timekeeper on a cotton plantation when she attempted to register to vote in 1962. Who traveled 26 miles to the county courthouse to try to register to become a first class citizen. Who was fired after working 18 years in the same place. When the man she worked for spoke to her before she left, stating ‘ We are not ready yet for this in Mississippi’. And she turned and stated, ‘ I didn’t register for you, I tried to register for myself.’

Or Victoria Gray who registered to vote six times before it was accepted. But even though she were registered, the next step was participation. So when the time came for the Democratic party precinct and county meetings, her and others were set to attend. But all type of games were played from the schedules and the places were deliberately misrepresented. They would get there and nothing was happening. Or the meeting was commencing and they wouldn’t permit them to come in. They realized that even with the right to vote, they were not going to get anywhere if they couldn’t participate in the meetings.

So when she and others were barred from the attending and participating in the Mississippi Democratic Party, they decided in 1963 to hold their own mock election between: NAACP state president Aaron Henry as the candidate for Governor and white Tougaloo College Chaplain Edwing King, the candidate for Lieutenant Governor. They had white students from Yale and Stanford who took two weeks off from school to help canvass black neighborhoods for the Freedom Vote. On election day over eighty thousand blacks cast their ballots. This was Mississippi Freedom Summer 1964. The ‘Representation and the Right to Participate’.

Never. Never in my lifetime would I have thought to see black elected officials allow the history of the African American community be used for political gain. I call on all Civil Rights Leaders and Activists no matter what color, creed, demographic, you may come from to put a stop to this and to not allow this to play out and continue. They are destroying everything people worked and died to achieve. That fought to not be judged based on the color of their skin. They fought to overcome racial bias. They fought to be able to one day stand in a country that wasn’t racked with attempts of segregation that didn’t allow for fair representation. This is not their message.

Labels of racism applied to achieve a goal was not their message. Using words of ‘racism’ when people ask questions or make comments in regards to experience was not their message. To stand aside and allow this to continue, to give the appearance that racism is being applied to Senator Barack Obama will be the undoing of everything we have fought against. I will not stand by and silently allow anyone to achieve a goal such as this for those who died fighting for something they knew they would never see in their lifetime. Pushing race relations back in this way by promoting to make choices on race alone will have a backlash that will bring down our communities. Emails such as this is not the message they advocated for or intended:

Dear MoveOn member,

Over 428,000 people have signed a petition telling FOX to stop their racist and hate-filled smears against Barack Obama. If we hit half-a-million signatures, we can draw media attention and put pressure on FOX’s advertisers.

Plus, Robert Greenwald’s Brave New Films released a video this morning documenting FOX’s ongoing smears against Michelle Obama. Please check out the video, and then sign the petition calling on FOX to stop peddling racism—and then tell your friends.

Just click here: Click here

FOX is shameless: in the last several weeks alone, they’ve “confused” Obama’s name with Osama’s, referred to Michelle as “Obama’s Baby Mama,” and called an affectionate
fist bump by Barack and Michelle a “terrorist fist jab.”

Our partners at ColorOfChange.org will hold a major event next week to deliver boxes and boxes of petition signatures to FOX’s headquarters. If we can deliver half-a-million signatures, other media outlets will have a powerful story to report—and FOX’s advertisers will get the hint that it’s not a good idea to associate their products with FOX’s hate-speech. Thanks for helping to fight the right-wing smears.

Paid for by “Wexler for Congress”

To the black elected officials: How dare you. How dare you stand aside and stand down ruining the message activists fought for and marched alongside people such as Martin Luther King to promote a man who walked beside people such as Ayers and Rezko.

It’s not about forgetting where you came from, it’s about learning from it so you won’t be blinded to where your going. You have Congressman such as Robert Wexler sending emails promoting the theme of racism. You do your communities no justice by allowing this to become a tool to gain 1600 Penn Ave. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. I will raise an Army to march against you before I see any of you utilize this as an attempt to get Senator Obama in the White House.

This country is diverse with people from all walks of life who have the same wants and needs despite whatever color, shape, or size they may be. But you will not put Senator Barack Obama in the White House based on scare tactics of racism. You will not destroy what has been built by those who have spent their lifetime fighting for their communities.

It’s time to throw many of you self serving officials under the closest bus and bring in some new leaders with the courage and the backbone to stand up to the majority. Better yet, consider yourself thrown. You are willing to allow politicians such as Robert Wexler, to change the definition of ‘racism’ to achieve a goal? To allow messages such as this because it coincides with your agenda? Or do you lack the spine to tell this politician that there is no truth to his words? I will be putting my leave in today. I can no longer in good conscious and faith sit quietly aside and watch this continue to play out. I will go out and do what you refuse to do and tell them what you don’t want them to know. They have a right to ask questions. So many are blinded by their own personal gain they are unable to see what is about to happen before them.

False labels of racism throughout this last year has caused damage that now makes the words almost meaningless for those who actually go through it. It has ruined the chances of other African Americans to attain higher political positions because the damage wrought from calling those who do not agree or those who ask questions and labeled, racist will forever be in the minds of the voters as well as their colleagues. It sickens me to my soul to look at the desperate attempts of a political party to win by any means necessary by utilizing the one thing guaranteed to pave the way for Senator Obama in the black community and this country by labeling everyone ‘racist’ who questions his words or actions.

Robert Wexler will not use my back as a path to put Senator Barack Obama on 1600 Penn Ave. The audacity of this campaign has no bounds. They are promoting racial divide at every turn, in the media, constant focus to stir the emotions of those who have experienced true racial divide in their own lives. I have been called by those of my very own race, the same ones screaming racism now. From House Nigger for supporting Senator Clinton, to being told I should be tied up in a bag and thrown in the closest river and the next time I deployed to Iraq to not come back. And when I corrected a supporter on Senator Obama’s vote he did not have in the Senate on Iraq, I was told : I hope you die you stupid cu*t the next time you deploy to Iraq for supporting the cu*t who sent you there.

I have fought a battle daily not for myself, but for those who are unable to speak for themselves. Nothing worth fighting for is ever easy and the path to the White House is no exception. For those black elected officials that are selling out their communities by allowing people such as Robert Wexler, the media and these organizations to promote the theme of ‘racism’ as a political strategy, one day your jobs will be replaced.

The countdown starts today. For those who place color as a determining factor in electing any government official is throwing away their chance to have a voice in this country. You can only be a victim but for so long before being held accountable for your own actions and words. You ask nothing, see nothing in regards to Senator Obama other than the color of the hand before you. You find no fault in allowing those to use your history, our history as a political strategy and tool.

Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and Maryland, the largest groups in the south east and mid atlantic regions of African Americans. 81.2 billion dollars worth of damage effected both Louisiana & parts of Mississippi by hurricane Katrina and so many wanted the government do more. 80,000 Jobs lost in June around our country.

Nationally, gas costs is 4.06 for unleaded, over 47 million don’t have health care, over 100,000 people each year die because of medical errors. And because of high health insurance premiums, millions of workers have no health insurance coverage because many employers cannot afford to provide health benefits. And you base your decision only on race? You have a choice. You have the ability to become part of the process, and to throw it away on frivolous means affects the lives of millions.

Rev Al Sharpton, you used false scare tactics by stating people will riot if something is ‘taken away’ from Senator Barack Obama. Today, for every single person who is struggling to make ends meet. Who just lost their home. Who have just lost their job. For those who have lost their homes and their jobs. You are no longer needed. It is time for us to get rid of of our so called Civil Rights Leaders who do more for politicians than the people, just to hear their own sound bytes. Rev Al Sharpton, for instilling the fear of ‘riots’, using this tactic to coerce those to a specific goal and causing a political atmosphere based on race and labels of racism, in the African American community. You are now our weakest link. Goodbye. Better yet, take Jesse Jackson Jr with you. Instead of educating the masses by explaining how the process works. By not explaining the nomination process. By not explaining the fact that the title of ‘presumptive’ comes with the required amount of Delegates and NOT based on a mixture of Delegates and Super Delegates. You have catered to those on the left, and talked from the side of your mouth to those on the right.

Yes, this election will be historical. Historical because so many have attempted to allow people and organizations such as Move On, Robert Wexler & the Democratic Party rewrite and destroy our history.

Members of the Democratic Party. Your party will fall on this chosen course. Your attempts to utilize the media to dictate the course of this election will be met with resistance. I see through the attempts to use the current world tour overseas by your nominee as a means to give foreign policy credit in one week or less. Their is not a instant guide on gaining experience. The media is currently playing to your agenda. From reporting news on CNN as if attacks are linked to the visit of Senator Barack Obama, to the constant repetition of the ‘Being Black in America’ series played consecutively on CNN. I see through it all. You care nothing for this country, because if you did the attempts to manipulate information, use the media to further your goal would not be relevant. A country that we are fighting in and deploying to, your candidate called a ‘distraction’. That ‘distraction’ has people dying. That ‘distraction’ is where we continue to deploy. You understand nothing of what we do. We are the ones whose blood, sweat and tears of our loved ones, are the ones who have been there in that country from day one. And you pay more attention to the foreign nationals words than to give us an ounce of credit for a job well done, although still not completed.

‘Success is how you look at it?’ Those are your nominee’s words. You refuse to give us an ounce of respect. Your ignorance is your undoing. I recommend picking up the book: ‘The Dummies Guide for the Democratic Party on Understanding Why only a Dummy Would put a Date on a Redeployment Timeline for the Military when You have No Idea What will change on Ground’ and the companion guide, ‘The Dummies Guide to how the Enemy wins When they know your Redeployment Timeline’.  As I watch and witness how far and how hard the rights of Americans, ‘right to choose’, in this election is being manipulated to benefit your needs. Righteous fury run through my veins when I think how hard so many people have worked to give many of us the rights we have today, and those who have died for all our freedoms. Word of advice to one and all: Foreign policy experts are not made overnight, and leaders are born and not made.

  • Can’t stand Obama crybabies.

Thank you for the wonderful and enlightening post. I hope it reaches these people and makes a difference.

      You are right…I’m voting Republican..
In that case, I think I’ll vote Democrat this year!

I’m voting Democrat because I don’t hate myself enough for being white, male, educated, straight or middle class.

I’m voting Democrat because I believe that the best strategy in war is defeat. It broadens the mind to learn Japanese, German and Arabic. Talk about multiculturalism!

I’m voting Democrat because Al Gore says global warming is hiding under my bed, waiting to get me.

I’m voting Democrat because I want to assume absolutely no personal responsibility for my actions.

I’m voting Democrat because I’m mad that George W. Bush hasn’t caught Bin Laden. That’s because Bin Laden is the only Islamic terrorist in the world.

I’m voting Democrat because I’ve been whining like a ritalin-marinated toddler on a temper tantrum about my candidate having won a Presidential election for the last eight years, and I want to be right for once.

I’m voting Democrat because I believe that if I don’t have enough money, the solution is for the government to take more of my money. Who needs money when gas is $5 per gallon?

I’m voting Democrat because I believe that the ideal family is two homosexual bonobos, a goat and a parrot raising a human baby. Love and compassion is all it takes to make a successful family!

I’m voting Democrat because I’m not an individual. I’m a race, a gender, a religion (or lack thereof), and a sexual orientation.

I’m voting Democrat because I’d rather have gas prices be easily influenced by world markets rather than drill in the Anwar preserve set aside for the purpose of drilling. I think terrorists know how to use our money best.

I’m voting Democrat because it’s my body, and if I want to kill my baby, I’ll do it, even if its head is in the birth canal. If I want to cut out my intestines and feed them to the crocodiles, I’ll do that too.

I’m voting democrat because psychotic dictators like Amadinejad and Jong-Ill will listen to reason if I just talk to them instead of backing up my words with actions. I’ll buy them a beer.

I’m voting Democrat because our enemies on the battlefield deserve comfy hotel rooms, Pay-Per-View, prostitutes and all the benefits of American citizenship.

I’m voting Democrat because we need to make the illegal immigrants feel more at home by learning to speak Spanish. I think we should hand them welcome brochures that detail where to get government services and free Ipods at the border too.

I’m voting Democrat because having a picture of Jesus within 100 miles of me is offensive. Colored lights are offensive. Christmas trees are offensive. Hell, let’s just ban the whole holiday! Let’s put up lots of Ramadan decorations, more footbaths, more mosques and more Islam recruiting posters in our subways instead. Diversity is our strength.

I’m voting Democrat because I like the government making all of my decisions for me. I’m not smart enough to make them myself.

I’m voting Democrat because supporting a work-capable person on welfare for over 50 years is so noble. Anyone who doesn’t take pity on these poor souls don’t have a heart.

I’m voting Democrat because I believe we need other countries’ permission for me to turn down my thermostat.

I’m voting Democrat because I care about the real victims of crime — criminals.

I’m voting Democrat because the real cure for racism includes preferential policies based on race — particularly in presidential voting. If you believe that a black candidate ought to be qualified, as well as black, you’re worse than Bull Conner.

I’m voting Democrat because everyone deserves crappy healthcare. Sure, you’ll have to wait years for that life-saving cancer surgery. But it’s first come, first served at the cemetery!

I’m voting Democrat because I believe in minority rights (except in Muslim countries), free speech (with regard to pornography but not conservative talk radio), environmentalism (unless we’re talking about Al Gore’s house) and diplomacy (but never backed by the threat of military force).

I’m voting Democrat because Socialism needs another chance. Sure it failed eleventy billion times throughout history, but that’s only because we haven’t tried it yet!

I’m voting Democrat because I think the terrorists just need a big hug. I’m sure a little lovin will convince them to take their bombs off.

I’m voting Democrat because I like the words “hope” and “change.” Also “kazoo.” That’s a funny word.

I’m voting Democrat because I believe that America’s founders were rich, white, greedy xenophobes, and that America’s founding principles are hogwash requiring periodic editing from an unelected group of liberal judges.

I’m voting Democrat because I like the ideas they have over in France, but I don’t feel like moving there. I’ll threaten to move, but I really won’t. After all, I have a good job, healthcare, lower taxes, free speech and a social framework that promotes family structure. And all of it is defended by the most effective fighting force on the planet.

I’m voting Democrat because disagreeing with a black man is racism.

I’m voting Democrat because all of the history books were written by fascists with an agenda. America terrorized every country it ever set foot in, and stole candy from little babies.

I’m voting Democrat because I hate Bush. He caused 9-11, Katrina, and the nail I broke this morning.

I’m voting Democrat because successful entrepreneurs either oppressed a minority or were lucky, and don’t deserve their financial success.

I’m voting Democrat because I’m too historically ignorant to realize that we still have a large military presence in Japan and Germany.

I’m voting Democrat because I can’t get the new Iphone 3G yet, my new Hummer needs new tires already, and McDonald’s screwed up my lunch order. The economy is making life in the US a 3rd world country!

I’m voting Democrat because Sharia law sounds just neato.

I’m voting Democrat because I want the world to know that I want a weak America just like Europe does.

I’m voting democrat so I can roll over and die the next time some emo ass-clown with more prescription drugs than teeth in his body shoots up a public place. Because I can’t be trusted to personally own or carry a firearm. And I’m too unsafe to dare shooting back.

I’m voting Democrat because I want to screw one of our biggest allies in the Middle East for the third time in 20 years.

I’m voting Democrat so we can sell out everyone else the way we sold out the South Vietnamese.

If only the institution of far-left values resulted in a great country. Oh, well. That won’t stop me from voting Democrat, though. After all, I’m voting Democrat because thought isn’t one of my strong suits.

Whenever I run into an Obot that insists that this is racist or that is racist, I ask them what race are they speaking of. They always look perplexed. I them them I am of the human race and know no other. Then I ask them which race they believe they belong to. End of discourse.
POTUS is about qualifications not race.

That’s Right! Now that I am a PUMA, I am no longer able to stomach watching or reading MSM, and I was a faithful NYT and CNN Junkyette, with occasionaly Wa. Times(to see how the other half was thinking) and WAPO and LATimes. I just do not trust them at all anymore. If all of us just wrote a note to all of our formers sources, this should make an impact. Unless this is even worse than we thought, and it is a permanent splitting of ideologies and expected outcomes.

It may be that we, and they, have diverged completely, and this is irreconcilable differences now. Wasn’t this coming anyway, with the increased polarization? Where is the pragmatism, and the honesty? They do not even bother to make pretense anymore – so have we been duped by them all along and we just were not able to see it? But then, when was it ever THIS obvious???

PUMA sites link to relevant articles and blogs, and news, and everyone then is able to interpret this their own way, since it cuts down on all of the miasma one must wade through to pick up what we need.

great post, but I fear most are so enveloped in their hate, vengenance that it is pointless.

  • HotGreen

How dare you compare African American citizens that have died to give us a right to vote to the likes of Fox News, Tony Rezko or Bill Ayers. There is no comparison so you should be ashamed of yourself for starting this article speaking of people with dignity then trashing it with your ill advised comparison.

Just as this site exist, Moveon and others have the right to protest Fox News and any other news outlet that are outright degrading Michelle Obama. She is a woman, and mother and a wife. On this blog, you PUMA’s call her “ho” and even worse. Any citizen of the US has the right to defend themselves, even if that is though protest.

Soldier, you should be ashamed to be black. Take a page out of Michael Jackson’s rule book, get some fade cream.

    • olivia1998

But it’s alright to call Hillary anything you like. What goes around comes around. HELLO!
Go and get a candy out of the bowl and lay down and rest.

      • HotGreen

What does that have to do with my post? The PUMA/Republican methodology… Lie, then take posts out of context, next you will insult!

The only place I see race baiting is on this site. Some genious comes up with the idea to do this on a weekly basis.

        • HotGreen

Also, please point out where I mentioned anything about Hillary. I don’t give a damn about Hillary, but I am getting pissed-off with these PUMA’s that are supposedly down for a cause, but the only thing I see is hatred. Then to bring in the “race-baiting” as if it means a hill of beans. You don’t know shit about me, but you think I should grab some candy! Pathetic and juvenile!

Lay off the race thing. Hate Obama all you want.

you say lay off? then please tell me why its alright to call me racist when i bring up obama not doing his job as a state senator concerning rezkos slum properties in his district or why im called racist when i bring up how obama pushed the legislation that enabled rezko to control the hospital facilities board so as to perpatrate his fraud on the people of ill.obama has no morals ,he is unfit for ANY office.

            • HotGreen

I am done. No one will answer the question.

Solider, to you, I am disgusted. I, personally, don’t care about you guys blaming Obama for anything. I don’t care about the questioning of his ties to Rezko and Ayers. You have every right to question it as do I; however, what disappoints me is your article. Don’t spit on our heritage! It is much to precious.

    • candymarl

I’m black and I have news for you. You don’t get to tell black people whom they should support or how they should act. Just as I don’t have the right to tell other color groups whom they should support and how they should act.

She never said you shouldn’t support Greenwald or his petition.

It’s funny that Greenwald is ‘outraged’ by supposed racism. He was also against FISA. He’s ignoring the fact that Obama voted for FISA.

This bill affects all Americans color aside.

Greenwald testified in front of Congress about what Blackwater did. Obama has stated he has no problem with Blackwater.

Where’s his petition and documentary about that?

Telling someone who to vote for was not the point of my post. It was the out-right defamation of blacks who did protest and break the barrier for us all to vote. If Soldier wants to talk about Rezko, Ayers and Obama, then do it. Linking this article to greatness is a misrepresentation of our heritage.

        • candymarl

Ayers did nothing for us. He killed people. You know, as in blowing things up where people died. Then he fled the country. Then he got off on a technicality. Rezko was a slumlord that got taxpayer dollars to supposedly help black people in public housing. After getting said money, Rezko left the black people he was supposed to help with no heat, rats running in the halls, and collapsing ceilings.

What did Obama do? Nothing. At first he said he knew nothing about all of this. Then when it was pointed out that were over two dozen complaints from the people in his district he said he may have gotten a complaint but he wasn’t sure.

        • Changebot 2.1 (now with 20% more hope!)

Off topic, What in the world does Obama have to do with your heritage? he is probably more closely related to mine than yours. None of his family has any connection to A.A experience. half his family owned slaves the other sold them.

          • HotGreen

Do I have to continue to explain to you my rant is not about Obama, its about Solider’s crassy and undignified article.

Obama is an obsession to you and the PUMA’s.

      • Fred C. Dobbs

        >>> I’m black and I have news for you.

      • HotGreen

Idiot, read! I know Solider is black. That’s why I am disappointed. You guys get a black person to do this type of posting. Simply Genius for you all to think that makes a difference.

        • HARP

Outside the color of his skin, what other reason do you support obama?

          • HotGreen

I am not here to argue with you about Obama or his skin color! I only replied to this thread based on Solider article.

Furthermore, people support the candidate of their choice. I am not going to give you any justification regarding my choice. Like you guys always say I own my vote.

Again,,, back to subject. Solider, please answer my question or anyone that is co-signing for this trash, let me know your thoughts regarding my initial post.

            • Fred C. Dobbs

Is “HotGreen” a synonym for snot?

Are you aware that green is the color of Islam?

Hotgreen…….what you don’t seemt to get is the artcle is pointing out that black people fought and died for their freedom.
And now for people to accuse someone of racism just because they don’t agree with a candidate, is wrong, and it belittles the AAs who had a just and true cause.

          Why are you disappointed?

For this fool, and yes I call him a fool, to be playing at President in Iraq is sickening! I have “Family” in Iraq. I talk to these “young men and women all the time! Not One of them trust this man with their lives!

Cynthia McKinney and Rosa Clemente are running for president and vice president respectively and they are both black.

Where is your protest of those Obama supporters? Yes, we all have the right to our opinions, and have a right to speak them even through protest. So, how dare your selected mominee give credit for the successes in Iraq to everyone and everything except those men and women (of all colors) who died or face death everyday to give YOU those rights and freedoms. Seriously, take your blinders off. And while you’re at it, take the chip off your shoulder too.

You’re right. You never called me a Ho…And I’m only assuming you are an Obama supporter due to your defense of Michelle. Nobody here is degrading Michelle Obama. SHE spoke the words that offended alot of us American Citizens. She speaks of how awful America is, how noone but her Husband can cure the ails of the world and save the planet and the children. SHE belonged to a racist church, and supposedly brought Barack into the fold. While she is a women, wife, mother….she brought her children into a church that blames “whitey” for the world’s ills. She preaches and calls for hand-outs from the government. She has asked for this criticism by speaking the language of an unappreciative, spoiled brat, who has gotten everything she ever wanted or needed in this life, and feels she was Entitled to it…that it was owed to her in the first place. Well, I would love to live her life. I would love to have the mansion, the expensive earrings, the college education, the salary. Let her live one day in this Mother’s, Woman’s, Wife’s shoes. I don’t have anywhere near the things she does, and I am still proud of my Country, and would not want to be anywhere else.

There is plenty wrong with our government and it’s policies and laws. But, pick another place where you think it is better. I’m not necessarily speaking to you HotGreen. I’m speaking to all of those who are so bitter and feel like they are “owed” something. Where would you rather be? If there is somewhere better….go there!!!

And, regarding Fox news. They haven’t done anything but report the news. Report both sides. Maybe you are not used to it because you only hear the one-sided media like MSNBC and CNN. No-one dare oppose BO. Is that the world you live in? One side to every issue? That’s not my world. I know there are other opinions out there, and I want to hear them both. That is my right!! I also have the right to turn the channel when there is something I don’t want to hear. So do you. Don’t watch Fox. But don’t petition them because they aren’t as complimentary to your nominee as you would like them to be. Barack has another side to him then the one you are blinded by. It’s not racism to disagree. It’s not racism to believe he is unqualified. It’s not racism because we can’t get all warm and fuzzy for Michelle. She’s not warm and fuzzy. Heck, either is Hillary Clinton. But, I trust that she loves this country and loves what it stands for. I don’t have that trust in Michelle or Barack. That doesn’t make me a racist. I watch Fox. That doesn’t make me a racist. I’m just a woman, a mom, a wife.

            • Fred C. Dobbs

              >>> Nobody here is degrading Michelle Obama. SHE spoke the words that offended alot of us American Citizens

You need to move onto another site. Hate-look at your own words. There is nothing wrong with this post. Someone wrote something very profound and honorable to black people being allowed to vote and being liberated and you came unglued.

Rezko, Ayers and Fox news were used to make a point and you missed it completely. You are the one wrapped up in the color of skin, not the posters here. The point is blacks should not be supporting the first viable black Presidential presumptive nominee who is involved with people like Ayers, Rezko and Wright. Wouldn’t you rather see a much more honorable black person running than this? I’m sure Martin Luther King would.

She was comparing the Obama campaign and his minions who use the race card for their own ends to those heroes for equality and how this is shameful and disgusting. Rezko, Ayres, Auchi etal are Obama’s mentors, bankers and cohorts. Obama is the one that AAs should repudiate – not Soldier. He cares only for himself.

Your candidate BOBO is a phony — he’s a white guy who looks “of color”. He’s using everyone — especially the real African Americans.

BOBO’s wife is a racist — the proof is in her college thesis. She too has learned to game the system for her own advantage — not for the AA community.

I do believe that the author of this article has hit the nerve of the monster.

Thank you, soldier, for writing this. For most of my father’s military career he could NOT vote in any election — because he was military. Most places we lived had laws written specifically to bar the military from voting. So I do understand the importance of being able to vote and I am very serious about using my vote wisely.

The point is that Moveon.org is standing up for a man and woman, who have sold out the black community repeatedly in their respective jobs.

Standing up against a right leaning cable stations for their long known verbal games verses supporting a Presidential candidate who profits from black people’s pain isn’t even in the same ballpark of what threat is more important to focus on.

The fact is, you got caught up in the dog and pony show rather than seeing Obama for who he is. That Moveon.org petition is more of the show.

Solider sees Obama for the man he is and refuses to sell out other black people or America with his grifter tricks.

Neither he or his wife really care about the black community. They care about pleasing their money men and lining their own pockets.

It is sad you can’t see what that man has done, but most of the complaints about Obama on this site are sourced by the MSM. NYT, Wash Posts, Chicago area newspapers, etc.

It is clear you haven’t read any of them, while Solider has. She is bravely standing up against ignorance and the theft of common sense.

    • LB

You’re one of the best examples of the racism spewing out of the Obama campaign.

    • educatedwhitewoman

I’ve seen Bill O’Reilly on Fox defend Michelle Obama. What’s amazing is that if anyone dares mention the negative things that Michelle has said while campaigning for her husband, and the not surprisingly startled and hostile reactions to her statements, they are deemed “racists.” Why? For telling the truth? For repeating her own words? For revealing voters responses to her negative, even “downright mean” and racist comments?

      • Lou

Likely that they are threatened to lose their jobs so they don’t report the truth.

    Hey Soldier4Hillary:

I just came across this post about Axelrod’s race-baiting in the 2003 Philly Mayor John Street reelection campaign.

    Townhall.com http://preview.tinyurl.com/5bpy2u

However, in the middle of the re-election campaign, with polls showing Katz actually in the lead, Street discovered that the FBI placed listening devices in the mayor’s conference room as part of a sweeping investigation of municipal corruption. The FBI’s investigation uncovered a corruption scheme led by Street’s fund raiser Ron White, who died before going to trial and secured convictions of, among others, the city treasurer, Street’s personal attorney, a family cleric, and finally Street’s older brother, on hundreds of corruption-related charges. However, the G men were never able to pin anything on Street himself. So shameful was the Street tenure that the April 17, 2005, issue of Time Magazine listed Street as one of the three worst big-city mayors in the United States.

The discovery of the FBI bug at first seemed like a death knell to the Street campaign. But under Axelrod’s skillful media manipulation, Street and his supporters successfully polarized the campaign by leveling accusations of institutional racial prejudice and playing on historical skepticism of the GOP-controlled Federal government. The result? Street crushed Katz by winning re-election by a sixteen-point margin.

    • alexei

Yep, these corrupt AA politicians sure know how to push the buttons.

There’s something else I don’t get. If the DNC is cash strapped then who’s paying for the Obama world tour?

Hot Green you are so wronggggg!!!!!!!!!

I applaud this article. Fox is one of the most fair and balanced news station that exists today.

I refuse to watch MSNBC – Olbermann and Matthews are horrible in their bias and attacks on women.

I had tears in my eyes when I read this article – my father comes to mind and the sacrifices he gave in World War II so we can have freedom of speech.

I feel the Obama campaign and Axelrod’s policy of leaving no prisoners behind just so Obama can win is going to set relations of all kinds behind 50 + years. Obama and Axelrod don’t care about this country – all they care about is winning and putting Obama in office so his crooked money backers can rape this country.

Shame on you hotgreen for doing the same. It is this country that has been our home – COUNTRY FIRST!

    • HotGreen

      • Northwest rain

Exactly — snObama is deeply involved in the Pay to Play — Chicago political machine. Proof is that he is a US Senator. His reward for playing along and helping all of his buddies to make tons of money.

The losers are the poor, largely AA who were unfortunate enough to live in government subsidized housing — the Chicago political machine learned how to pocket money that was supposed to help the poor — not the already very rich who lived in rat free, cockroach free homes.

snObama should never get a pass for being part of the Chicago political crime machine.

Anyone listening to Chris Matthews should know that he is the most obvious right wing sycophant out there today. He’s been on a mission to deride Hillary for awhile now. His show has always been dedicated to the elitist interests. First, the man love for Bush. “He reigns with a sunny nobility!” :) Next, he began to prop up Rudy G. Remember the repetitious 9/11 footage? How cool under pressure Rudy was? The very high (BS) polling for Rudy? Thank God for some pissed off white firemen! He’s probably the main reason that I was suspiscious of Obama’s campaign. As soon as he endorsed him my antennae went up. It’s a shame that black folks don’t know who this guy works for.

Obama should be brought up on charges of treason against the United States of America!

He is over in other countries speaking privately on behalf of our country when he has access to classified information as a US Senator.

    TREASON punishable by death!

    • Mr.Murder

That would have to show he was doing this with such an intent in mind. He maybe was a bit too assertive in what his role was to disclosing policy that was formulated already, and that he was briefed on.

  • Judy

HotGreen what bothers me the most is your definition of racism. I have never heard any reporter/commentator on Fox say one thing that is racist. NOT ONE>

However, I cannot say that for MSNBC and CNN who constantly made horrible sexist and personal attacks against Hillary Clinton. But, that is OK. Fox has played only Michelle’s words/they have never called her names and made personal statements against her. If they did I would not watch them just like I don’t watch MSNBC and CNN now.

If you truly believed in what you are saying – you would not condone any of this. That is the entire point of the article that you managed to miss.

In the meantime, we are arguing and dividing – just like Axelrod wants us to do – all part of his strategy (that he has used in previous campaigns)

He is playing the race card over and over – very damaging to everyone. Axelrod and Obama don’t care how it damages this country – they will do anything to win.

hotgreen, get your troll ass out of here. nobody cares what you have to say. it is the obama supporters that have repeatedly called hillary and her supporters the most vile disgusting things for months. your problem is obama is losing and you think attacking anybody that is not going to vote for him the right thing to do….stfu, you are an idiot troll.

This is a shame. Obama makes alot of AA’s cry at what he is doing for his own personal political gain.

  • pcbedamned

Soldier, you should be ashamed to be black. Take a page out of Michael Jackson’s rule book, get some fade cream.

The more I read, the more I see that AA’s are the most racist of the bunch.
Seems ‘white’ can see ‘black’, but ‘black’ can’t see ‘white’.
    Why is that?!?

    interesting theory.

He has no authority to represent our country overseas. We have officials who are designated to do that. Like every other presidential candidate, he should sit aside and use this as a fact-finding tour (which was what he said it would be), rather than a policy discussion.

  • http://investigatebarackobama.wordpress.com/puma/ kat in your hat

Woah, another amazing contribution by Soldier4Hillary. Made me cry some. I can’t believe how this is all going down. Almost every oppressive and suppresive tactic has been used to boost Obama. We see how the media uses propaganda to promote him, and we see that they suppress the truth. We’ve seen how misogyny and sexism has been used ruthlessly to demean Hillary and her supporters, and we see how the dem party elite have controlled so much in favor of their groomed one.

I’m no fool, I know there is racism, but when an entire group of voters (who are dems!) are NON-STOP told they are racist any time they question Obama, it becomes a method of oppression just to further Obama and it’s dead wrong. They have watered down the word “racism” to such a degree that when someone receives TRUE racism, the kind that can destroy lives, people will disregard it! It’s like crying wolf all the time. It’s a powerful word and to shamelessly toss it around, like it is MEANINGLESS, is disrespectful and dangerous! It’s in the media, it’s online, it’s constant attempts at censorship. Yes, the “racist” accusation is a tool for censorship. It’s how to label any Obama dissenter. Do they not understand that people FEEL censored? Who would want to vote for that? No one in their right mind! I’m so sick of this race issue being abused…even black people are called racist online, then when they say they are black, they are called Uncle Toms and worse. It’s SICKENING!! The constant death threats and riot threats and all of it..WTF has happened to the dem party? It feels like it’s being corrupted by malevolence.

I cannot get over that Bill Clinton was built into some kind of racist. I really think it’s a tragedy. He may not say it now, but I just know that his heart has to feel seared with a sense betrayal and plain sadness over it. Maybe he even feels angry..I don’t know. I know that all the data showed that many blacks liked Bill in the beginning of the primaries but then after S. Carolina, etc…it plummeted. I know Obama’s camp and their media needed to destroy the bond blacks had with Bill Clinton–just so Obama could get more votes.

How can they DO THAT? So unethical…so low down, to manipulate people and try to destroy the Clinton’s like that. Why the hell go after democrats who have fought for equality?? It’s backwards!

Also, I know that they are raising signatures for a petition against Hannity and Fox, but damn it, they are the only ones who questioned Obama. They decided to report on some of what the Hillary voters already knew but the Obama-Media IGNORED. How irresponsible! The News is supposed to inform the general public. How dare they HIDE anything that can be perceived as negative against Obama just to promote him. These people are brainwashers! It’s been total propaganda and for those who know better, it’s damned scary!

I’m so sick and tired of feeling FORCED to accept Obama and all those who associate with him, and the new “changed” dem party. None of this feels normal anymore. Warning signs and danger signs go up everyday. God help our country.

Barack Obama has caught up to John McCain in Florida. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in the state finds Obama with a statistically insignificant one-point advantage over his rival, 46% to 45%. When “leaners” are included, the Democrat leads 49% to 47%.

Over the past six months, McCain has maintained leads ranging from seven to sixteen percentage points. Last month, McCain led 48% to 41% in the Sunshine State.

A big push for Obama this month in Florida comes from unaffiliated voters. Last month, he had just a three-point lead in this demographic. This month, he leads by twenty-three.

Obama leads 50% to 43% among women in Florida, while McCain leads 47% to 41% among men. The Democrat has double-digit leads among voters under 40 years of age, while McCain has a big lead among senior citizens.

This month, Obama is viewed favorably by 51% of Florida voters, up from 44% last month. He is viewed unfavorably by 47%, down from 53% last month. McCain’s numbers are 60% favorable, up from 57% last month, and 39% unfavorable, up from 38% last month.

  • Lou

If, like many Americans, you are alarmed at the thought of a Barack Obama’s leadership potential and are committed to Stop-Him-Now, we invite you to join the newly created “Obama’s Enemies List.”

In true Nixonian style, Sen. Barack Obama’s paranoid website links a list of political enemies that are allegedly conducting a covert internet campaign against him. The information on the site is not only inaccurate, it does the very thing it is claiming to stop, a smear campaign. Obama may be thinking he is JFK but he is acting like Dick Nixon, completely paranoid. To Obama, engaging in open and legitimate debate qualifies as a smear and off limits.
So in the time honored tradition of taking a pejorative and adopting it with pride, Stop-Him-Now is inviting all Americans to join the “Obama’s Enemies list.”
After joining, individuals will receive a certificate confirming their membership and Stop-Him-Now.com will submit their names to the Obama campaign.
Sen. Obama may think he is shaming individuals by placing them on this list but we view it as a badge of honor. We invite you to do the same.

Why do these people find this post offensive, of a woman who has served in uniform who has been to a fight that she did not ask to go too, but it was her job and duty. This is the very thing that we are faced here in America, because she looks at policies and the experience of a candidate , and through her eyes she sees whats going on, that the Obama campaign uses the race card with a slight of a hand so the Voter will not see, well everyone is waking up to this and it is time for them to worry as we see his support is diminishing, and this trip did not help him , it opens the door for the media to wake up to do what they are suppose to do such as the military dont take sides give the people the truth cover those stories that are coming out that he Obama already sees himself as president , and he is already putting our soldiers lives on the table by talking and giving timetables to the Iraqis. If i was the Bush administration, there are too many coincedinses , on what they are talking with the Irans, and Iraq, i see a breech in their office on giving obama the information he needs to make the bush government look late and they are following his plans instead of theirs. Obama is dangerous you can see it now he cant even keep his mouth shut on private discussions with another President, as he stated the policies of Bush now with the iraq and Iranians as he would continue to follow the guidelines, we are in trouble if he is president.

    • Lou

Women have it tougher than the men. 15% are women serving in Iraq and they are subject to more than just the war. Women soldiers exceed the required bravery.

Obama thinks he can appear “transparent” and open with the public by spilling his guts after meetings with world leaders. Typical addict; no recognition of appropriate boundaries. Tell all about private meetings in an attempt to give yourself credentials but hide and keep secret all your financial wheeling and dealing (which should be part of public disclosure).

Thank you Soldier4Hillary. I read your writing before and it astounds me each time. Unfortunately, the Obamabots are either not able to understand plain English or they are still on their true mission of distorting all facts. Reverse racism is just as bad and so sad in this day and time. Obama’s campaign has caused great divides in this country and it will take many years to overcome it. Truly said our democracy is so easily sold and squandered.

FOX is nothing more than another right-wing propaganda outlet for Ruppert Murdock. “Fair and balanced” is a statement the level of subtilty they hope to achieve in the application of their brainwashing methodology, not a statement of their lack of bias. Their methodology consists of over-the-top rants by neocon zealots like Hannity, played against less effective moderates and liberals. The highly opinionated rants serve to desensitize FOX viewers to the more subtly slanted news content, which consistently leans to the right.

New energy idea’s for Obama’s plan
I know you think the choices are obvious, but maybe not. In order to be used the new energy has to be plentiful, available, proven, and safe. My choices are sometimes not so pleasing to the eyes (or nose ) but they meet the criteria.

    1. Bulls#*t from the Obama campaign can be burned in existing landfills. Heating the kool aid to make ethanol.

    2. All the energy the Obama campaign uses to deny things (written statements, TV appearances,
scrubbing websites, etc…. can be redirected into our electric grid. Experts have estimated that this energy can run three major cities for three years.

    3. Hot air from the Obama campaign can be captured and pumped into at least 20 office buildings saving them from paying any heating bills at least until November. Or if elected until
    2012.

    4. Rules can be changed and we will just let the Newspapers decide who should be president saving billions of dollars of campaign money, convention money, and all the gas money the voters are spending. Seems to be working now for Obama. We can then take that money and build slums in chicago and the rest of the US which will be empty, dilapidated, and using zero energy by 2010.

    5. Every one will be required to buy thier houses with convicted felons, find job’s they don’t actually do, and spend all excess energy trying to find another job. It may not save much energy but hey it’s not a bad life and keeps everyone out of touch with reality.

To hot green, did you find Bernie Mac’s comments about
ho’s funny? Is that a funny joke to you?
Obama’s faux protest followed by ‘just messin’ with you man’ Is that leadership you can support and believe in? ‘Bro’s before Ho’s'? Do you support that?
I don’t, and I also think that MLK would not.

Obama has only exploited racism, used it for political gain. It makes me heartsick.
Where was Obama when those tenants were freezing in the Rezko slums?
Defending him in court, and living in his house.

Now racism is used to try to keep an EXCEPTIONAL soldier in line. To repress her voice.
It is being used to repress legitimate questions
    regarding Obama and his associations.
Chris Matthews uses it to shore up waning Obama support. It is used as a reason for not supporting
Fraudbama by those that cannot see past his skintone.

And, we will help break that jalopy of a campaign that Obama’s got going, DOWN! We have to just keep hammering and hammering and hammering. It makes sense because it’s the truth. I live this existence. As does Soldier4Hillary. I’m not sure of your race, but I’ve seen all of this with my own two eyes, as have other sane whites. For Jesse Jackson’s son to release a statement trashing his father the way he did when he could have just kept his foolish mouth shut was deplorable. You don’t do that to your family and that’s a part of the “black code”. We have as a people not voted for AA republican candidates before, so why all of a sudden now do we HAVE to support this particular candidate when he’s proven he is willing to shit on us for political expediency?

I won’t do it and I won’t go around labeling white folks racist who ask him tough questions as he applies for the one of the top jobs in the world. This is lunacy. I have personally had white Obama supporters look down their fucking noses at me for not supporting him and that’s getting on my nerves too. I don’t need anybody to tell me I should be “supporting my own”, namely some white guy or woman who needs to check his or her own racial sensitivities.

When I went to South Carolina, my home state, to help the Hillary campaign during the primary there, that’s when I met my first, up close and personal attacks from my own people. Called me a sellout. “Support your own” and so many other vile, hateful things, but when so many white folks were doing it to blacks a few decades ago, it was bad. It’s not good when anybody engages in this “support your own” madness when “your own” is an inexperienced, lightweight like Obama. Besides, his mother was white and his father was Kenyan. I don’t have any Kenyans in my family.

    • workingclass artist

well said Sugar….It is predictable and ( sigh ) typical….straight out of the Fascism For Dummies also known as the Offical Obama Supporters Handbook,
available in languages including Arabic ! and Now an Action packed Comic Book too….I mean it’s not like there is any real ammo with substance to fight with…..Just typical fascist rhetoric and thuggery…..

      Sugar:

You don’t seem very intelligent. Kenyan is not a race, it is a country. Kenyan’s are African.

      • http://www.sugarnspice.typepad.com Sugar

Did I say anything about his KENYAN father’s race? See, you all can’t get that out of your minds. I have black AMERICANS in my family and none of them are from KENYA. Stop trying to infuse racism into each and every thing. It gets old really quickly.

        • HotGreen

Thanks for proving my point. You are not very intelligent. I didn’t put race into my comment, you did by stating the following:

Besides, his mother was white and his father was Kenyan. I don’t have any Kenyans in my family.

His mother was white, shouldn’t you have said American if you said his father was Kenyan?

          • http://www.sugarnspice.typepad.com Sugar

Hotgreen, what the hell are you talking about? I’m American and his mother was American, but she was WHITE. I’m a BLACK woman. Difference number one. Obama’s father is a KENYAN from AFRICA. I don’t have KENYANS in my family. What is so hard to comprehend? lmao Why do you guys think you have the right to tell someone what to think and say? You don’t have to be at this site right now. Oh that’s right. Yes you do. Gotta work that Smear Fighting shift. Have to pay for those textbooks for the Fall semester.

              HotGreen,

Most of the slaves came from West Africa. They were sold to European by Muslims African traders (African & Arab mix like Obamas’ father)in Africa. I was born in Africa and trust me there is a difference in mentality between African Blacks and American AA community. Obama didn’t have to go through what most AA had to endure. It is so sad that AA vote for this guy without demanding anthing back in return. He hasn’t done anything to any community.

              • HotGreen

Again, the methodology of this website. Do you read what you type before you post it? You are making 3 separate points in your post that mean absolutely nothing. It doesn’t answer any of my questions about the article written here!

Also, I am of African descent and not African. I live in America so obviously my up bringing was totally different from an African’s upbringing.

                • HotGreen

Soldier–you should be on every primetime mainstream media program–what you say is absolutely the truth
The racist argument is the only game in town for this horrible candidate who has no qualities to be President and no experince and no character and no judgement. I listened to the editor of the Nation on Larry King and BO was right in his book that others project their own issues and political attitudes onto him like a ‘blank screen.” This Katrina van whatever was as narcissistic and arrogant in her attitude as he is. No wonder he has all of these pseudo intellectuals backing him, he’s so ‘blank’ that they can promote their own Marxist agendas onto him. I think one could shine a flashlight in BO’s ears and see right through his head–there’s nothing there. Who cares about his color, his brain is missing!

Obama isn’t in your party either because you’re not a Democrat. Democrats get behind their candidate.

    Justin,
This is a myth you and the DNC and others believe. Not all Democrats support the candidate for the sake of the democratic party. But you, the DNC and his supporters if you need to tell yourselves that, go right ahead. But come November 5th you will believe that a lot of democrats voted for McCain.

Ok, I have read about all I can stand. This back and forth is making me ill.
I am not a regular at this website and I am not a dem a puma or a racist white. I am an American! But I would like to add something to this conversation.

In this country of ours we have had bad whites, bad blacks and bad every other color you can think of. People of every skin color have been abused and taken advantaged of in this nation. (And before you start with only the blacks, just stop.) We have whites that have lied about and rewritten history books and the same for the blacks. Everybody wants a leg up the easiest way they can get it.

Yes the blacks were sold by their own people into slavery and yes the white men (and even the black race) in the country and around the world took advantage of that. Shame on them. May God have mercy on them.

I am of Scottish decent and my ancestors were slaves to the English crown and slaves when they came to this nation. And because of that my ancestors were not allowed to own land or even have a say so in the forming of this country. And please do not through that “oh but it is not the same as the black saga” in my face. A Slave is a slave and the crap they lived with is the same regardless of the skin tone. Slavery has been an evil since Adam was kicked out of the Garden of Eden.

My point in this post is this election should not be about who can make their past and present problems seem the bleakest. It is about which person can best run this country for all races. It will do no good to continue saying I must vote for obama because I am black or I must vote against him because I am white. The reason no one should vote for him is because his policies are socialistic and will destroy this country. Then we all can be slaves to the gov’t and cry in our milk together. (But it will probably be powdered milk.)

Say what you will about me and this post but I am not a racist I am an American and it has taken all of our ancestors trails and tribulations to make this country the great country it is and I for one am not ready for it to be destroyed by a repackaged Chicago politician.

If you wish to discuss his policies you can respond to this post.

May God have mercy on the USA.

Thank you for your post. I am Irish descent and understand your point.
We must join together all races and sexes to help this great country continue to thrive.
This election is probably the most important one on deciding the direction of this country.
My feelings are that obama will hurt this great country not help her.
      He has no experience.
He has anti american people as mentors.
He has no love or understanding of America or her people.
He is racist and brings out the worst in people.

    SOLDIER-4-HILLARY, YOU ROCK!

You have common sense. What the OBAMYOPICS lack abundantly–and their skin color doesn’t matter. An obamyopic is a blind man or woman who follows an inexperienced, spoiled, arrogant MISOGYNIST, identity-confused candidate without questions! This woman has real questions. She’s been to the War Zone! Have you, OBAMATROLLS?

This sexist rapper wannabe Barack the Precious Obama (as Lou Dobbs called Him) appeared with BERNIE MAC and AGREED (just messin’ with ya, man!) that BLACK MOTHERS and SISTERS are ‘HOs! This is your precious spoiled brat Hawaiian Holiday to Hell!

Get real and support HILLARY! For there is no one else worth the effort! She challenged the Chinese in 1995 when it was not safe to do so:

It’s so refreshing to hear the unbiased commentary of informed journalists like Juan Williams on Fox.

It’s both sides of the race issue that is getting Obama into the White House, and we ALL know this. Our country is going to pay a very heavy price for that, on so many levels. He’s just the absolute wrong person to be selected POTUS. What a disaster … thanks a lot, W.

  • Christy

I can’t believe the gross racist things they said to her, like throw her tied up in a bag into the river. OMG!

  • Paul

You’re an embarrassment to journalism. You have, with this article, done the exact same thing you are criticizing. Your emotive writing is on par with the tactics found in high school essays. All you’ve done is create a rallying cry for people to crowd around, you haven’t said anything beneficial. If you are so concerned about the state of equality, perhaps you should learn to write and present arguments properly, so as to be able to communicate your ideas on a professional level. Logical fallacies are all over this piece, there are far more options than the limited perspective you present us with.

  • Jack

“Ayres and Rezko??? You need to read some of the people MLK and Rosa Parks where accused of consorting with.”

Did MLK or Parks enter written, publicly documentable, and lucrative real estate transactions with indicted associates, like Obama-Rezko?

    No.

Even if they did something corrupt, surely they wouldn’t document it so. Only an extremely stupid person would do that. Or an arrogant, untouchable Chicago politician would have the moxie not to care.

  • alexei

It is true that MLK was smeared and that the FBI under the detestable Hoover, spied on him. But, to compare Obama to MLK is a crying shame.

Obama has not been smeared with his “associations”. Rezko, Ayres, Auchi etal are his mentors, his bankers and his cohorts in the Pay to Play scheme. The politicians of both Parties in Illinois are up over their heads in this totally corrupt business and he and his cohorts want to bring this to Washington so they can have the Nation’s treasure and stop the investigations.

The Obama campaign accused the Clintons of being racist. This is a total smear of both. Obama took monies from Rezko and let the South side residents live in horrendous conditions (11 of those buildings in his State Senate District). Obama goes to a church for 20 years for political expediency and throws the congregation and the minister under the bus. Obama totally ignores AA issues and refuses to go to the Black State of the Nation and to MLK’s monument. He threatens AA politicians that did not back him and allows his followers to give death threats to those that even mildly criticize him. Obama is an empty suit who dares to use MLK’s words when he has put race relations back for decades. MLK is a true hero who died for peace and equality. Obama is typical politician who only cares for himself.

Yes, there is still racism, but to cry it like “Peter and the Wolf”, only lessens the impact and soon, no one well believe you. I grew up in VA when Jim Crow was still king – so I know what I speak of and Obama is playing the race card; he is not a victim of racism.

  • http://deleted AnninCa

Obama lied to the public about his relationships with Ayers and Rezko. That alone makes him unacceptable to me as a candidate for president.

He claimed 4 or 5 hours of work with Rezko. Instead, the truth is that they had a 20-year relationship that included vacation time together as well as a house deal that benefitted Obama. Ayers he claimed was a “neighbor.” Ayers, in fact, worked closely with him on a Chicago board.

That bothers me a lot. I don’t think guilt by associations is OK. It depends upon what actually happened as the result of a relationship.

However, when someone lies about something as relevant as this, I have a BIG problem.

He’ll lie to the public about things that are vital to OUR well being too.

I’m sure of that. He’s now a proven liar.

  • jbjd

Set the overheated rhetoric aside; do the research. No candidate has lost the Democratic Party’s nomination. According to the governing rules of the Democratic Party, delegates – both committed and uncommitted (as the result of votes cast for “Uncommitted”), and super – vote for candidates at the convention. At that time, by rule, their mandate is to vote for the candidate they adjudge to be better, even if this results in a vote for the candidate who ‘lost’ the state vote that predicated their appointments.

  • vonay

  • JM

And I’d suggest starting at some Afrosphere websites and avoiding sites where the detestable rev Manning is some kind of twisted hero.

You criticize one of the only men in the African Community who states what needs to be said. You seem to be of the segment of the African American segment that believes, in this day and age, that the white man is keeping you down. The only one keeping you down is yourself.

What IS vile is the attempts made by Obama and his supporters to quash any dissent. I don’t care what color someone is, but I do care about the tactics that a person uses to promote himself. Barack Obama is all about Barack Obama. Barack shows little respect to the black community. Then again, why should he? You have mostly thrown yourself at him, and have gotten absolutely nothing in return. He needs you now, but like so many in the past, you’ll be discarded once his goal is achieved. The only thing that black America seems to require of this white man in a black skin named Obama is that he be of the same skin color. He doesn’t give a shit about you are me. The fact that you want a black man in the White House leaves you blind to Barack’s inconsistencies, and to his obvious disregard for black America. That disregard is not just for black America, though. It’s for anyone who believes in democratic principles, of which equality, and fairness are of utmost. I got news for you, goock, Barack Obama’s rhetoric is “just words” that gullible people have fallen for hook, line, and sinker.

  • angie

STFU — now you want to play who is “blacker”? Grow the hell up (and go straight there too). Anyone who doesn’t see that Obama is being nominated because of the color of his skin and not because of the content of his character is a moron. Hell — even Kerry admitted it — Obama can “heal us because he is black” — ring any bells?

I am an almost 70 year old white woman.
I was a foster child in the 1950′s you want to compare second class citizenship and rough times.
I am originally from Philadelphia and remember the Move organization when a Phila policeman was killed by them and Mayor Rizzo had a months long standoff at 34th st. No one was killed. Then later in west Phila a black mayor had tear gas dropped not knowing the move people had put gasoline on the rooftops and people died.
I remember the Street brothers and the ripoff of blacks in the weatherization program.
I have been in a situation that a black man was shooting at us and a friend was wounded.
I was 7 months pregnant when MLK was killed and working between two Bell Telephone buildings that did not have their flags at half mast and a black mob was protesting. Try getting out the way, the only place I could go was into traffic and hope I was not hit by a car.
I have had a black man that I trained promoted over me because I was married and had 4 children.
    Now for the good things.
A black man saved my husbands life in Korea, My husband was military police and had to break up a knife fight. That black man named Reilly took a knife wound to save my husband.
I have worked with white , black , american indian, asian people. We were all working for the same thing to make our lives and the lives of our families better.
Obama does not make things better for any american no matter what race or sex they are.

I am all for having a black POTUS, just not Obama. When the US elects the first black POTUS, I want it to be written in our history books that he or she was one of the best presidents the US ever had.

I believe that Obama will really let us all down. What did he do for the AA community in Chicago? What has he accomplished on his own besides writing two books on his favorite subject?

Where does he really stand on the issues? Trying to keep up with his positions is tiresome, they bounce all over the place… and are heading due right… Where is the Democrat?

McCain didn’t begin his campaign with the promise of change and hope and a new kind of politics. of ‘changing America’s direction’ OF ‘unifying everyone’ not ‘dividing.’ The party is now split,CNN is running divisive programs, Whoopi’s yelling the ‘N’ word at a white women, some woman in Colorado is singing the black national anthem, the Clintons who worked tirelessly for AA’s are now racists(because they’re white-double standard don’t throw that around you’ll lose every time and another thing your verbiage reeks of the same exact phrases and words used by Obama followers on every one of these sites. Remember, good old sleaze Chicago politician whose strings are being pulled by Axelrod and corporate America, said he was going to rise above the politics of color–it wasn’t 2 seconds after Clinton referenced Jackson’s candidacy in South Carolina in 88 that BO’s people came out with charges of racism–they said it not anybody else. Take your pseudo intellectual arrogant creepy boss and leave the Democratic party. He’s a liar and a sociopath and a criminal and a total fraud–if not Clinton McCain 08.

Since you are so gung ho about electing a black person, why ot vote Green?
Cynthia McKinney and Rosa Clemente are running for president and vice president respectively and they are both black.

That way you can elect a moral black person instead of the crook Obama.

  • clik212

    Once again goocky,

You are right, no one is without blame. However, pointing the finger at others, while you claim to be different and worthy simply says you are just like them or worse because you profess to be different. Aside from that, if you have to steal your policies and platform from your opponents not only do you reveal your lack of substance but that you are a cheat and a liar. If you have to discredit the people you called “mentors and friends” to get what you want at any cost, that says you have no integrity. If they were so important to you, why would turn your back on them. Is he ashamed or afraid of being called a “radical?” which of course he is not. Obama is the essence of spinelessness. A shameless opportunits, who even pedalled his daughters on TV to promote a false image of another Americana, immediately making a recall yet the message was sent. “Hey, I’m okay.”

So you see it’s not that there are double standards, because whites are, and especially the DNC and the media have been giving Obama a free pass. It is because of racism and fear of labels such as “racists,” that you throw about with such wanton abandon, that spineless whites and blacks have succumb to that very fear. It is people like you that are the racists and because your frame has no mirror all you see is the world through your pathetic, unknowning and lost vision.

OBAMAS PLANE 1 Hour, 10 Minutes ago Karma: 0
CAN’T BELIEVE WHAT i GOOGLED UP BUT HERE IT IS

    Retired W401-13-2008, 11:34
This morning I saw a picture of the airplane Senator B. Obama et al. was in at 2:30 A.M. when the pilot struck the wing of a parked airplane while taxiing into parking. I did as usually do when I see the tail number of a plane that is involved in an incident, I go on FAA.gov and do a search of the number to see who owns it.

N747NB is owned by Long Charter Air, LLC of Lithonia, GA, which happens to share the address of The New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, which is the church of Bishop Eddie Long. Bishop Long is the buddy of Rev. (Dr.) Creflo Dollar of the ultra-mega church here in Atlanta. Let’s see, it’s Sunday. Turn your TV on and you will probably see Dr. Dollar trying to bilk what is left of some old folks SS check to finance his super extravagant life style.

Long and Dollar are both under investigation by the US Senate for possibly illegally using tax free church money to buy all kinds of ultra expensive stuff, including PRIVATE JETS. Senator Grassley wants to see the churches financial records to insure the preachers are not abusing their tax free status. Someone may now want to see if Senator Obama is using his position to influence the investigation.

Bishop Long’s airplane, it’s maintenance records, charter certificate (FAR part 135), if any, pilots fluid samples (urine, etc.) will be scrutinized. As will the agreement for Sen. Obama’s use of the airplane.

What will be very instructive will be the reaction of the MSM to the story. :munchin

Hey goock, Mr. 63 yr old negro.

It’s not about a black man’s ambition. It’s about a huckster who lied who betrayed YOU and me and everyone who wants honest and transparent government. You are doing what he’s doing. Using your “63 yr old negro” as a means to call whites racists.

Your are right about “an ambitious negro,” who is lieing and back pedaling and back stabbing and talking out of both sides of his mouth. Yes, your ambitious negro isn’t concerned with Universal Health Care, or jobs or even education for any of us because he doesn’t have a plan he just has a speech. As you defend him, he looks down at you, ignores you and got to where he is because there are enought stupid white people who feel guilty when they listen to folks like you say the nonsense you do. It’s not that you are black or 63 or what ever, you just don’t listen and the disgrace is that you won’t even listen to some one of your own race because you are convinced that his ambition is for your best interest and good. That’s how much you know.

“Stupidity is truly an equal opportunity employer.” You just proved it.

  • bemused

Rev. Manning is entertaining. He isn’t worshipped here but he is allowed to contribute. And you are playing exactly the race card soldier4hillary is complaining about, the one where if anyone speaks against a person’s character or qualifications, they must be racist (if that person they are speaking against has black skin). You know what? That is the lamest cop out I’ve ever heard. And if there are black or AA or Hispanic or Asian or white people out there saying “these people are bound to hold me down because of the way I look,” they deserve to be held down! They have only a superficial understanding of what is going on if they only see the skin and make it the excuse for everything!
If you really are 63–I’m even older. I well remember the horrible things that were said about MLK and Rosa Parks and a lot of other brave souls who finally said “I’m not just a bag of black skin, I’m a person!” They wanted to be judged on their character! Now you can either go the skin route or you can defend your man as a man. Which is it?

Hey, Mr. Goock, Nobody here, sir, wishes to limit a Black man’s ambition. On the contrary, Sen. Obama’s ambitions have been ALLOWED AND PROMOTED to the point of no return in his brief and anemic career, you must admit. With John Edwards out of the race and the anorexic resume of Barack Hussein Obama (or Barry Soeroto) getting to the top of the files without merit nor distinction….well…sir you must admit your black race has come a very long way indeed, sir, as well it SHOULD…

Now, sir Goock, too bad your wife, girlfriend, daughter, sister and aunt do not share this elated feeling of comeuppance!

For, like John Lennon said it with Yoko in ’71 (surely you remember; you must have been around 30, right?):

‘WOMAN IS THE NEGRO OF THE WORLD” — Now go study them lyrics and come back and tell them to the person you should be voting for: HILLARY RODHAM CLINTON…She’s done more for the elimination of AFrican and Americn women’s ‘indentured slave’ status than your sorry posterior has ever done for the womanfolk in your family, sir goock!

Pssssst…and if you’d care to see another great candidate much to be preferred over that skinny resume with th balloon inside…her name is

CYNTHHIA McKINNEY–she’s African American and like her daddy a proud member of the Senate. But remember HER father was her role model!

With Barack, the black mothers and sisters are called “FAMILY ‘HOS” by Barack’s buddies like Bernie Mac, whom Barry endorsed….and I ain’t messing with you man….

  • Wisewoman

I am a 63 yr old black female Hillary supporter. Goock if you are a “negro” you are pathetic if you can’t see this that this man is a phony. He’s white when he needs to be (IA, NH, NV) and black (SC, MS ,AL, LA, GA, NC) when its convenience. He is a race-baiting, lying, phony who played the race card in SC to set himself on the road to his present position.
Obama won IA, lost NH, lost NA, and was desperate to win SC, otherwise his candidacy would have been in jeopardy because he risked being out of the race if he could not win a state with such a large black, democratic majority. At that point Hillary lead in the SC poll and had 65% black support. He had to pry those votes from her hands and he had a limited amount of time to do it. As a result he put into action his revolting racial strategy to rile up the black people. Do you actually think the Clintons would under those circumstances come to SC and conspire to make black people angry with race baiting talk and then expect them to go out and vote for Hillary Clinton? If you believe that you are an idiot.
I personally marched with Dr. King and others while attending JSU in Jackson, MS. I despise and loathe Obama for damaging hard fought race relations (fought for by blacks and whites) for crass political gain. In that regard he is synonymous with George Wallace. I AM PERSONALLY OUTRAGED AND OFFENDED AND I WILL NEVER VOTE FOR HIM, EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Besides, how can blacks while voting 92% for Obama accuse whites of racism. If whites had voted 92% for HiLlary, Obama would not have won one state’s primary. HE MADE A FOOL OUT OF YOU AND ALL BLACKS WHO VOTED FOR HIM AS WELL AS THE MAJORITY OF WHITES. You refuse to see it so just STFU.

Have you looked up his record in Chicago? We have. We have taken the time to look into his history. We certainly can’t look at his voting record, because there is none. We must look at the man who may become the leader of our nation. Is that too much to ask? Can we Pleeeezzeee look at the man through the eyes of a voter? Or is that against the rules too?

  • Judy

Can you please tell me what is racist about the
    comment Bill Clinton made…

“This whole thing is a big fairytale?”

Please answer. I really do want to know what was considered to be racist about this comment.

For the record, neither candidate represents my values and beliefs. Right now, I would vote third party. It is just that I hold the Democratic candidate to a higher standard.

I have only voted for a Republican once and that was for the position of state senator (and it was only once). I cannot bring myself to vote for a Democratic candidate who voted for telecom immunity when he told his supporters he would fight against it or who offers a health insurance plan that would enrich insurance companies while leaving millions uninsured. I cannot vote for someone who wants to be the leader of our nation and yet cannot bring himself to request that his supporters stop using threats and vile misogynistic insults against other candidates and their supporters.

A candidate who declares that he will not take PAC money should not be setting up his own Washington machine (http://harpers.org/archive/2006/11/0081275) and expect me to vote for him. Someone who supported the privatization of public housing and then turned a blind eye when those efforts resulted in substandard housing for the poor while the developers (some of whom Obama counted as close associates) pocketed millions in government funds is not worthy of my vote. I could go on with reasons why I can’t bring myself to vote for Obama, but you probably don’t want to read it. It’s so much easier to label me a racist.

  • JM

Obama represents your values more than MPain no?

If Obama represented my values, I would be voting for him!

A short list of some of Obama’s values:

    1) Friendship and mentorship from a racist preacher

    2) Ronald Reagan’s policies

    3) FISA

    4) Aspects of Sharia law

    5) Dirty tactics to obtain what he wants

    6) Speaking from both sides of his mouth

    7) Radicalism

  • http://deleted AnninCa

That’s fine. The “new” Democratic party has, indeed, rallied behind Obama.

I’m one of the “old” Democratic party members who is appalled by the party tactics.

I think it’s probably a natural transition out of the Democratic party that happens often to people in their 50′s.

It’s just not OK with me what went on this year. You see, I remain stubbornly liberal. You see a party employing sexism but jumping on very minor racism stuff? You see a party that is inauthentic.

You either “get” it or you don’t. I sense that nobody in the “new” Democratic party is willing to admit they “get” it. I am firmly convinced that you’d have to be a rock to “not get” it.

So it’s a choice being made to “get” racism and not “get” sexism.

Well, sorry, but that’s not liberalism. The reason for my 35 year straight Democratic ticket support was liberalism.

    This isn’t liberalism.

    This is something else.

So this train can take off without me. The Republicans are as good to women as the Democrats, at least this time around.

And I won’t support a party that works against ANY group, whether that’s based on gender, sexual preference, race, or disability of any type.

I will remain true to MY principles. What others value? That’s up to them.

Bill Clinton did not make a silly remark in SC. Obama and his henchmen were continually looking and twisting everything any opponent said, beginning with Biden.

A harmless remark becomes a weapon of choice. After all when Biden made that remark, many people didn’t have a clue who Obama was. This was an opportunity to raise his profile and from the very beginning he gathered sympathy by placing himself as a victum of race.

If Obama claims to be post racism then he should be totally open to criticism, instead he slams the door shut when he feels threatened and uses that to protect himself from FURTHER scrutiny. The only whites that feel threatened by Obama’s calling the race card are the ones that feel guilt and want to assuage that guilt with approval and wanting to be part of the “kool” that supposedly he brings to the race for president. With total disregard/disrespect for the principles that drove MLK and RFK, Obama has trashed more than 40 years worth of struggle thrown it under the bus and now calls himself the “Post Race” prince and sets it all back, because the only kool aid junkies around are those who are too young to understand what came before him and the ones who were there but their “lights were out.”

It time to yes be post race and post gender and whatever, yet that has to start with absolute honesty and many people are not doing their part to express exactly how they think and feel and stop this mastubatory habit of excuses themselves from the “conversation.”

Barack and Michelle Obama are the first hypocrits on that list. They are not fit to live in the WH.

gook said: “But as far as Democrats are concerned there really is no valid reason not to vote for the candidate that best represents your values.”

See gook you don’t get it and obviously are not listening – many of the people here who say they won’t vote for Obama won’t vote for him because he does not represent their values.

You can call me what you want – a racist, a republican, whatever – sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me. I know who I am and I have been raised with strong morals and values. I have been raised to respect everyone no matter what sex, religion, culture, race, etc. I was taught to form an opinion based not on immediate judgment, but on “learned” judgment.

Have you heard the term – do not judge a book by its cover – meaning try to read the book before making a judgment.

Well, a lot of people have “read” Obama and they have decided that he is not what the “cover” appears to be. He comes across as someone who will promote change and promote hope, but the reality is that he is a hypocritical liar. He ran on a campaign that focused on a new type of politics, get rid of the old and bring in the new. Yet, he knows to really prosper, if he becomes president – he will have to surround himself with advisers from the old regime (and yes, that would be the Clinton regime). He dished the Clintons big time, and yet he knows what they did for this country. His “well she voted for the war” – yeah well so did Kerry and many others that endorsed you right away – please tell me how his politics is a new kind of politics – please tell me how this is not hypocritical – I could go on and on, but I am sure as some would say here: “you are wasting your breath EagleRay.”

See Obama does not represent my values – he is arrogant, a liar and his supporters and the media didn’t hesitate to throw out sexist remarks about Hillary, but no one, no one should say anything about Obama’s character and try to bring the truth to light, because geez they are racist!!!

If Obama is so great why did he not doing anything to stop the sexist remarks against Hillary and why did he not do anything to remind his supporters and the media to respect others opinions no matter what sex, religion, race or culture they come from? And, still till this day does not say anything. Plus, he knows what the Clinton’s did, and still do, for the AA community and he just threw that under the bus, and went along with the racist comments about the Clintons during the SC primary – that is unforgiveable. The complete disrespect and lack of acknowledgement of what the Clintons did for this country by Obama – is unforgiveable. I am not saying the Clintons are perfect – but if you are a true Democrat, and you really are 63 – how can you forget how this country prospered when the Clintons where in the WH and how can you not agree that the treatment of them by Obama and the media and his supporters was unacceptable?

No, I am sorry Obama does not represent my values and the Democratic party of today does not represent my values – because I was taught to never cheat, lie, and steal and I was taught to respect everyone.

The DNC and Obama fail in those areas and that is a sad thing. So, this young Democrat will most likely not be voting this year – because in my good conscience (which is based on my “values”) I can not see myself voting for either Obama or McCain.

  • Changebot 2.1 (now with 20% more hope!)

Since you are so gung ho about electing a black person, why ot vote Green?

Cynthia McKinney and Rosa Clemente are running for president and vice president respectively and they are both BLACK.

That way you can elect a moral black person instead of the crook Obama.

    “every single metric”
WTH is that? You’re another outsource bot aren’t you?

  • Vince

It’s funny you mention Scientologists. I’ve been thinking for some time that the Obamabots have taken a page from L Ron Hubbard’s book the way they camp anti-Obama sites and have the “Always attack. Never defend” mentality. The calls of racism (or religious persecution in the case of Scientologists) against anyone that disagrees with them.

Obama is the Paris Hilton of politics. I fear that if he’s elected, he’ll be the last African American considered for the office in my life-time after his one term.

You are obviously a dimwit. I voted straight Democratic ticket for 35 years.

I’m more Democrat than any bumper sticker you stick on your crapped-out car.

And I’m done with that party.

Moreover, I said repeatedly, “Are you sure you want to push us out? We’re your steady eddies!”

They did everything to push us out.

    So don’t complain.

    You guys pushed us out.

    You’re the new party

And you will have to now give to the DNC., to downticket Dems, to the major names……

    It’s your party.

    You won the name.

    It’s all yours.

    It’s no longer MY party.

I absolutely am ashamed of this new Dem party and want nothing to do with it.

I am one who has back away so fast, that I backed right out.

That is what it took to get away from the antics of this “new” Democratic Party.”

I have no more interest in this party. None. Zip. Nada.

It disgusted me. Truly, truly disgusted me.

I don’t even care that there’s not much an alternative party.

    I’ll vote this year……..because I was involved.

But I can see a future where I don’t even bother to vote.

    I’m that disgusted.

    But…….whatever…….and who cares.

Two idiots running against one another.

    I simply have no interest.

I think this is a much younger person because a younger person would think 63 was really old.

  • imustprotest

No of course if you aren’t a Democrat then I wouldn’t expect you to care what these party lions think.

Party lions!!!! Ha! More like paper tigers.

    I own my vote….PUMA!
    No liars…NOBAMA!

  • Donna Brazile

I have to giggle for just a moment forgive me.

But wouldn’t you expect CAREER democrats to support him. Afterall, do really think they are going to say, I support the Republican.

I believe if he had just graduated middle school the democrats you listed would still support Obama. That’s what you do when you’re party affliated.

So in the absence of a record, how do I know Obama represents my values. So far, I don’t know what he stands for and that’s the problem you are seeing with many people on this blog.

And the Oracle speaketh. You really need to stop getting your news from the voices in your head, Chester.

  • helen

I voted democratic for 48 years.
This NEW democratic party made me ashamed to be call democratic.
I just changed my party to Independent and doubt that I will ever go back to being a democrat. This New democratic party can not be trusted to do what is best for America.

    COUNTRY BEFORE PARTY ALWAYS

    PUMA RULES

To further fill this out, I am pushing 60 and have NEVER heard an African American describe himself as a “negro.”

    Not on a construction site.
    Not in the service.
    Not in a bar.
    Not in the Merchant Marine.
Not in a brothel in Singapore.

    I call BULLSHIT.
